also should i get 5800x or 5600x
"larger case for large cooler" wise, all good cases I like to recommend can fit d15s/u12a, like td500 mesh, lancool ii mesh, p500a
and I've recently been informed p400a can fit d15, although not confirmed
like which is better for gaming
@scenic plaza 5800x is kinda stupid price wise, I'd love to see when AMD makes a 5700x, so, unless you need the extra cores, 5600x is a better value proposition
thanks i appreciate the help
:)
š
@stoic island https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WNG7qp 4000 airflow is fine right?
I'd personally just go for td500 mesh/lancool ii mesh/p500a
I don't really like the look of hole-in-metal, but it's fine
Ok š
P400A can definitely fit an nh-d15, just can't raise the second fan to clear RAM at all. Can use a case fan instead of the stock second fan and mount the second nh-d15 fan to the case
whats your pc for @rich helm
Some person who wants to run 50 instances of minecraft
Yes, the clear ram part is the unknown bit
I'd like to see when possible of measurements or testing on which kits will work and which won't
bc 5900x is good to
Because spec wise, D15 height is 165mm, P400a supports 160mm iirc
They need the threads
true true
Ah, you need really short ram to fit it I think, somewhere in the 30-36mm range, but I don't know what exactly you can get away with
Aegis maybe
but I'd like to see AT LEAST ripjaws fitting as "compatible"
I think ripjaws are 42mm?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sPszgt aight fixed
my pc is kinda dying runing 4 minecraf
Somehow went from rgb build to stealth but ok
lmao looking closer and closer to the list I made at first >:D
also, I don't get the 2tb ssd part
Took a little inspiration
Noctua claims 32mm clearance with the second fan in the standard position. I have ripjaws and didn't think I could get the fan high enough to clear them while putting the side panel on
actually
cuz the ram is kinda dying runing 4 mc
@shut rampart out of curiosity, does it crash in games when you run it at xmp
because mine did
so I hate team vulcan
what do you xmp?
3200c16
sometimes
lemme find which exact kit I have
itās preference imo if they donāt need any more than two tb then all ssd is fine
but not always
I had rust just not even starting up when it was at xmp
division 2 BSOD relating to memory every ~20 minutes when it was xmp
any ram I can buy
@shut rampart what's the budget?
maybe a 32g
anyways I regret buying this kit
how much for
idk
Give us a range maybe?
like 100-200
Join the ballistics gang
got it
Watch linus video
Indeed it's time
@shut rampart don't mix match this kit with the team kit, but get this
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083TRRT13
I hate team's low end kits after my experience with the vulcan kit
2666mz?
I got Vulcan because itās low profile ish
Not for personal build
But for mini itx build
wrong kit?
I was wondering why it looked cheap
yea one sec
There
wait
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I need sleep
I want to buy 32gb of ram but also want to have moneyā¦
I keep clicking the wrong kits
this is more on the way but
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1548846-REG/crucial_bl2k16g36c16u4b_ballistix_32gb_16x2_3600_mhz.html
is it a good idea to add the same team kit
no
I bought expensive ram for my computer so now upgrade is expensive too
" Expected availability: 7-14 business days
"
oof
any other kit
that can come in 14 days
Still Ocing this 32gb kit. Currently at 3733mhz. Need to mess with FLCK
Yea ballistics are popular, restock is taking time
how much does ur cost
I need more time to do work
So I can actually buy new monitor
should i take ballistic or corsair vengence
ok
Ballistics have much better IC chips
Vengeance is wonk iirc
so will that make performance better
the same as mr1111?
Yes
but in the color of white?
^
Probably restocked
Cuz IDK so take advantage and run lol
Expected availability: 2-4 weeks
Ballistics were supposed to restock this week
I am going to try to build and setup at least 4 PCs today
Iām going to be productive
I've only built 4 PCs so far š , my 5th build in a week and a half
Many
I have one pc ready to be setup and 6 more needing to be built
Well one is partially built
Amazon when I order nr200 black and they send me nr200p white lol
No nr200p
Lol
I'm blind
But I donāt want the glass side panels so Iām just going to have to throw em out
Same with the pcie risers, lol I didnāt order the pcie riser editions either
dang, that's a nice case
what other stuff will you be putting innit?
10600k, noctua L12s, and then just mobo and 16 gb of ram
yeah tbh
For the application
But idk
Had a 700 bucks budget, Iāll use it
Well it went like 20 bucks over but thatās because itx stuff more expensive
The matx ones were all like 650
@stoic island just measured and I think I have 1cm between the glass and the fan in the stock position. Ripjaws are 42mm heigh and the stock position provides 32mm clearance, so it'd be extremely tight and may not be possible in a p400a
Get 2x16Gb sticks so you hve room to upgrade in the future
Do you want to fill all 4 slots
Im finally about to get my pc!
If not 16x2 probably
doesnt really matter just want to know which is better
hi
hi
Technically there's more performance with Dual Rank ram
16x2 better
But really only shows in synthetic benchmarks
ok
Since you'll be able to upgrade
thanks
thanks so much
Any good fan suggestions? Looking for four 120mm fans (preferably RGB but idc really) for my Lian Li O11D XL
corsair LL120's are good if no budget
eh
also eh
Expensive tho
mhm
is ryzen 9 with rtx 3070 gonna be bottlenecking
Statik if you have 500 bucks to spend on fans for your case rn what would you get
Well I'm assuming they do workstation stuff
Cause a 5950x is not the best gaming cpu 5900x is
yea i mean 5900x
Oh ok
I mean I'd prefer to keep it at max like, 20-25 USD per unit, I don't want to spend too much more on fans lol
if strictly speaking on $500 for fans mainly for lighting then QL's from corsair. if $500 for fans for performance, probs some noctua's
Ye
6800XT has much more performance than 3070
ok
Should be 3080 or 6800XT
5900x can def keep up with a 3070 easily no problem
also how much is it like 650?
So yeah I don't care about RGB too much when it comes to the fans but I'd prefer for four fans to keep the price under 100$
or at least around 100$ USD
Sniperbos I'll find a link one sec
tbh you shouldn't just buy a 5900x jus to game with it
alr š
fair
but how much is 6800 xt
I'm gonna be modeling and video editing with mine as well as gaming so, good use of all those cores
yes
prob gonna run a minecraft server and play on it too cause with 12 cores
what cpu?
Imma ask sips for the link cause I can't find them rn
@rancid lodge what cpu
Bruh
my nick-
In his name
oops sorry lol
lol
what card you gonna get like besides temp 580
I was thinking 3070/3080 but once prices stabilize
I need a new GPU soon, idk how long my 8GB 580 is gonna hold
but can someone telll me price of 6800 xt
most games run it upwards of 90% utilization
most intense games at higher graphics levels*
the base price is 650
MSRP for Founders is 650
msrp is 700
but 6800 xt has 16gb and 3080 has 10gb vram
expect to pay more though, only fe cards are at msrp
hes true stock is the issue
and prices are around 850 not 700
And priced higher due to tariffs and stock issues
yes
6800XT Aorus Master is like $899USD
i might go with 6800xt
but look for a good priced one
hopefully micro center has some
or will get some
try and get it from AMD direct
i think amd sells the reference card at msrp
soon
this
link pls?
~11:38 AM EST
6700XT also will come out soon, that will compete with 3070
Maybe, we need benchmarks
For sure
6800 or 68000 xt which better
6800XT
6800xt
6800 not worth it
but anyways uh, anyone have suggestions? #building-and-recc-chat message
ok
Can someone help what i should upgrade in this list https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/cannon918/saved/LTyhkL
sure
List is private
its private
5 pack of arctic p12's (40 bucks)
cheap and non rgb
lemme take a look
@meager moth its private
Are you buying all that new?
no
id say get 3600
Current build then?
and maybe a 5500xt or 5600xt
wack
what do you want to achieve after your upgrades?
yea
Maybe, but I would prob want to spend an extra 15-20 bucks if there's an similar RGB equivalent, just to brighten my case a bit with whatever color.
good fans are basically all non-rgb :(
expensive*
Noctua ze best
rgb software is weird, rgb hardware support is weird
lol
I wish Noctua did sell RGB fans, oh well
Yeah I know that much, if no RGB I'll prob go with those arctics
I can get the 5 pack for 24 USD cause of amazon prime lol
and it affects the frame of the fan, therefore requiring redesigns
Yea ik
Yeah, I'd rather see fan manufacturer's just focus on quality.
But hey there's always innovation
yup
unless we can make rgb take wireless power
there has to be compromises to integrate them on the fan
Always sitting at 14gb-18gb of usage these days. The amount of stuff I need running for school
@scenic turret rammap time
I went back to 3600mhz
tbh tho, i'd love to see competition in between other companies so that they can make their fans cheap and effective without compromising on quality or performance
Didn't want to spend a whole day overclocking
3600 mhz is the sweet spot
but with my big Lian Li O11D XL I was hoping there'd be some ~70-80 dollar 4 packs of RGB fans
that aren't crap
I went up to 4000mhz then declocked to 3733 and then back to 3600
why?
All stable, just need to mess with FLCK
ok
loosen timings or no
and that too
I'll try overclocking my 3600 CL16 to 3733 if it helps my 5900x lol
All takes time. Still trying to get used to overclocking on Ryzen
Never overclocked anything though, not my first build but it's my first build I'll overclock
but yeah I'll prob go with those arctics if there aren't any decent RGB fans that aren't ultra expensive
how much per unit
Tip: DO NOT build on carpets, please use a table
ok
about 40
id even have carpet in my house lol
The amount of times I've seen that scares the hell out of me
I put my PSU in on my carpet but yeah I'm not building anything else on the carpet lol
its 120~ for a 3 pack that includes a hub
you're prob in the fractal design, coolermaster, deepcool, and id-cooling range
40 bucks per is a bit expensive
rgb is rgb
yea
yeah
RGB always a premium feature
for 6 its 240 bucks
yikes
Gotta replace my stock intake fans with Lian Li Uni
Sure, but rgb doesn't do anything for that and one could argue that a focus on quality at the expense of rgb can provide higher quality at a lower price point. I guess I'd more say I want fan manufacturer's to focus on value (price/perf)
what happens if you build on carpet?
Carpet=static electricity, potentially can fry components
Theoretically you can damage components with static electricity. It's not likely, but better to just build on a wood table or something
ok
I've seen some people do it on the redditPC server and ended up with MOBO returns
Just take precautions, everything should go fine
ok
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXkgbmr3dRA here is a video on it

Just how dangerous is static electricity to your PC? Are ESD wrist bands just a "big tech" scam, or are they a necessity to protect your much-loved gaming rig? Linus and Ele...
just scared to put the wires in
Yea alot of hardware can take some static, but its better to be safe than sorry
yup
Better to be careful than get unlucky and kill or damage a component
might just not go with four fans and get the ll120s, recommended airflow setup is three side fans and one back exhaust but do I realllllly need all three on the side lol
i see your point there, but tbh i'd rather have companies create fans that compete with each other and find ways to make it cheaper, because price/perf isn't as good as "oh this fan is expensive asf and quiet but this other company makes fans that are also quiet and just as effective for 10 bucks less"
I used to do grounding but I usually just be careful
Same
ok imma go eat lunch cya guys in a bit
I even have three antistatic wristbands, but I rarely used them
I have one but idk where it is lol
Thats taken since I've build a few PCs
i greatly dislike antistatic wristbands
Ik same
so annoying and you forget you have them so you end up doing something you regret
I usually just put a psu plugged in on table and touch occasionally
I do the same nowadays, PSU is a great grounding point
Beginners on the other hand just need to be more careful than us experienced builders
What? In price/perf competition the second company is winning. Same quality at a better price from another company forces the company with the more expensive product to find ways to reduce prices while maintaining quality. Currently my impression is the market is much more about what is shinier basically, companies are competing more on how much rgb they can squeeze into a fan and how much "gamer" branding they can do
exactly
sometimes tho you gotta compromise quality for looks so eh it's not that bad
and once you make it look good and you don't poo out on quality, things get expensive
I don't personally find looks to be important in a fan
some people do
heck some people don't even care if they have a 9100f rx580 system, if it looks good then their satisfied
Yeah, clearly. People prioritize form over function a LOT in the tech space unfortunately
yeah smh
Like the closed front panel glass box case designs
literal hotbox
and then they set all their fans as exhaust to make it look better smh
like from amd direct
There are stock trackers
Amd often releases stock on their website on Thursdays
Like 9 to noon est I think, usually around 11
ok
is 6800 xt worth tho do you think
there is 6800xt on best buy for 650 but sold out should i camp amd or bb
The prices on reference cards, which are the only ones sold out of amd.com, are fine imo. If you don't care about ray tracing, dlss, or NVENC a 6800 or 6800xt is pretty good.
I'd try to camp both BB and amd
ok but do you think it will perform good in gaming? the 6800 xt i mean
Yeah it will.
ok
AMD website the only good place to get GPU
only place where normal seller price isnt 2x MSRP
Would these be good RGB fans? Also would they work with my icue h150i elite AIO's fans (in the icue software)?
These are looking like my best option as far as availability and price so I'm hoping someone has input on performance
Yes they would
As long as it is a Corsair product is with rgb it syncs
I think I have those same fans and they sync for me
sounds good, also my MB has a bit of RGB (it's asus so it's aura sync), how hard would it be to get that working with icue?
not too bothered if it doesn't work with icue
I am not sure I donāt have experience with trying to mix aura and I cue
Alr, I have no experience with ARGB lol so ig I'll figure it out later
CPU's coming friday so if I order these fans today I can prob get them when the CPU comes
5900x is not easy to cool but a few missing case fans wonāt be a huge deal
Just make sure you have a good psu
Yeah
oh also, just want to make sure but they should mount on my Lian Li O11-D XL right?
going for one back exhaust and three side.
if you have four fans i'd rather go 2 bottom intake and 2 top exhaust
yeah you want airflow to be somewhat even
Maybe, going top with the AIO though
and only having fans on the side isn't the greatest tbh
slight intake if i had to go heavier on one
guys im having ghosting but its not my monitor
watched a gamer's nexus vid on the case and three side and one exhaust with 360mm AIO top was best airflow config by a few degrees Celsius
But yeah the fans should mount on it right?
yeah it's got mounting holes
yeah those uh
those oval holes
tapered rectangles
yeah, I have fans now from my current PC leftover but they do not mount
alright thanks, I'll be ordering a three pack and a one pack of those now lol.
guys im having ghosting but its not my monitor
one pack says it'll come next week though, one missing fan shouldn't be too bad though
Anyone know a 1500 budget pc for gaming
i can make one rq
Ok
Just for game
ight
Thanks
Icue does not work
with aurasync?
icue works with asus/nvidia fe
Doesnāt work with mystic light but
eh it's fine if it doesn't, the MB only has a small bit of RGB
Might work with asus
i have a question does your mobo need wifi to connect to internet?
no. It can still connect with Ethernet.
ok so should i connect the wifi antenna that came with my mobo to the side of it?
WiFi is just for wireless connection
well, let's say I move my PC too far away from a ethernet wall port
ok so i dont need the antenna correct?
and need to get dirty and install a new one in the wall nearby
ok thanks i appreciate it
WiFi works as a temp
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hnRZK3 someone here can prolly make it better but that's what i'd get for 1500 bucks
Ok thanks I will take a look
maybe add a hard drive for extra storage
3080? Bit overkill
2tb WD Blue CMR
I'd get an SE-224-XT and a TUF B550, take the GPU down to a 3060Ti or something, and get a P400a/P500a
Wow not bad
I'm getting nicer fans, and in doing so sacrificing (for now) more storage that I desperately need
32 gig ram, 3060TI, $1400 https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j6gVTJ
oh ok
Take ram down to 16 gigs and get a 3070 or somethin
Is everything compatible with each other?
I can work off of 50 GB left on my SSD and HDD combined, for now...
Of course
Oooh
ill send my build one sec
you don't.
So
Oh no
but as of now, GPUs are essentially impossible to get
3060ti /3070 are no exception whatsoever.
AMD cards are even worse
Really?
check my build
Yes
oh yeah the xbox X uses a AMD GPU doesn't it
Ye
yeah and I'd say xbox X is worse than 5000 series CPUs rn
what
Mushkin SSD
ok
Samsung is overpriced and Crucial is slow
vintage you'll be happy to know I'll be going with a mushkin pilot e next month
That's the wrong one bRB lol
ok
the pilot e 2TB M.2 was on sale on newegg for like 212 USD
This one
Faster than the Crucial, same as the Samsung for twice the storage, same price as samsung
but its gen3
Gen 4 is overpriced and you won't see a difference
^
Gen 4 is just silly right now
oh will it still work in a gen 4 slot?
Of course
Wow you can stretch a budget
ok thanks for suggestions!
I have a 1400 dollar build but 10600k, 3060ti fe, and 16gb of ram
yeah gen 4 rn isn't really worth it, in most cases you'll see minimal difference in performance
Yo uwon't notice a difference in every day use for sure
yeah
I want to buy more storage lol already almost full on my 500gb
Trying to decide between hard drive or ssd for game drive
depends on budget
I donāt have a huge library so learning more towards sata ssd because of no noise
mhm
Sata SSD same price as NVME for the most part
Also I was working out airflow in my Lian Li O11D XL, and the gamer's nexus review puts 3 side one rear exhaust as the best config (having top be for CPU AIO or exhaust), but then I thought about orientation
The side fans would be intaking from right next to me
Oh well Iāll get like a pilot-e 1tb probably
so they'd be taking in more dust as I kick more up when I move
so would it be better to intake from the bottom?
yeah, 1 TB SSD is only $5 less lol https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX500-NAND-SATA-Internal/dp/B077SF8KMG
Buy Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1(Z): Electronics - Amazon.com ā FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
Mac repair guy tried to put a San disk sata ssd without dram in my Mac smh. Convinced him to get a decent sata ssd
smh
with three pets dust is kinda more of a concern for me so I'm not sure where to put my fans.
Also said he would charge like a 200 dollar more build fee to put in nvme vs sata drive like I know itās more work but is it that much more work
although pretty much every place I can mount a fan (excluding rear panel which is for exhaust anyway) has a magnetic dust filter so
200 bucks dang
was it a third party repair dude or the apple guys
Fee for sata is like 50 for nvme is like 250
if it's the apple guys then i'm not surprised
Third party
The shop is more of a troubleshooting/helping old people use tech kinda place than a repair place but was listed as a mainly repair place on google .
So we didnāt know
iMac
You do have to like take out all components to get to it
But still
yeah
Not that many cables/screws
You have to unscrew 3 screws on either side for speakers, then hard drive cage, then a couple screws for like psu and then logic board
Some ribbon cables along the way
Would have to buy a couple special tools I think
Ah okay
smh
wow 200 bucks
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/BXDkcf/asrock-b550mac-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550mac dang this price is good
one sec
yea
yup
$104 on amazon
really good
How would that be better.
Same vrms
We like it because of the diagnostic stuff
Like debug leds or something?
amongst other things
Like?
The ac has debug leds just checked
I like how an 88$ budget board has debug leds and my 160$ board doesnāt
B550 aorus elite
ofc its Aorus
I got it for free tho thatās just what it costs
Good vrms and ok features, then they skip debug leds, and 2 sata ports that wouldāve completed the package
i could kinda understand if you were going from B450 to B550 but B550 to lower end B550?
Iām not buying it Iām just pointing out the price
oh
If I were to buy one for that price it would be the b450 a pro max, or the x470 gpm, but if someone needs WiFi it appears to be somewhat decent
why would you buy a 400 series board in 2021?
Bc I have a spare 2700x
low end 500 series is almost always better than high end 400
ah
used B450-f time
If it was a 3600 I would get this lol
Iām not getting another b450f
NZXT
wdym???
I sold mine for 90$ a couple months back lol
AGRGRGRGRG WHY ISNT MY AIO HERE YET
What aio?
theres way cheaper b550 boards
huh
you deleted
But not as good
I would rather have something good anyways tho
whats the difference between that and a 80 dollar matx b550?
a 3600 cant rly take advantage of the features offered by more expensive boards
Vrms, features, more ram slots, more pcie slots
ig but who needs more pcie slots
unless you gonna run sli
or a drive in a 16x slot lol
and 3600 wont rly cause a problem for vrms
idk
you gonna mine?
also for a 3600 not rly worth going over 3600mhz imo, in terms of value to performance
Also more sata ports
Iām not actually buying it
oh
Bc I already have a board in my pc that my 3600 is in
The spare cpu I have is a 2700x
Itās funny that I have a 3600 on a mobo capable of running a 5950x
What board do you have?
Nice, I have the b550 aorus elite
but i by no means take advantage of all its features
with this things vrms you could honestly run a 5950x on it
but these vrms dont rly matter for my 3600
I got my mobo for 0$ lol
pog
I did oc my ram for fun and got 3800 16-19-19-39 stable 1.4v
Words to live by
Man I love how some mom & pop stores are still open and functioning. I managed to find a used 600w used psu for $40.
which PSU
used psu though š«
Bruh Iām not finding any Graphics card itās really hard to find one even though I want to Micro Center there wws graphics card
No*
correct
Anyone tells me a decent graphics card
yeah that pretty much happens everywhere
you are aware of current shortages, right?
Suggest
a decent graphics card is a 1660s
I just want to build my first pc š„²š„²š„²
coughs in minimum $500
you are aware of current shortages, right?
same, but there's no cards in stock
Yeah
your best bet is the newegg shuffle
Can get a gt710 for a decent price, don't expect to play anything but retro games though
skyrim at 60fps 720p
Can it even?
I donāt think I canGet a graphics card in a decent price before 2023
original skyrim, I think
When I got mine as a placeholder it didn't stack up to anything I had to play except very old games. Which is fine. Quake, Myth, etc. are all still really fun
Can it play PokƩmon
Can anyone tell me what should I do I just want to build a PC for Intel core I 51600K
Get a gpu
IDK
But IāmNot finding any all of the graphics cards are over my budget
Whatās your budget for gpu
Like $400-$550 my whole PC budget is almost like $1200
Then get a 3060ti fe
3060Ti time
I got one
They are not available in stock
I have 10600k
Itās called actually doing work
I had to sit on Best Buy and discord for many a morning to grab one
What work?
Iām waiting like from past 4 months
Do you watch for Best Buy drops every weekday
Canāt just wait
don't they do them every other thursday?
They mix it up
Watch everything Newegg eBay Amazon Best Buy everything possibly could but Iām gonna still finding it
Make sure you enter the newegg shuffle every day they offer it, may as well get in the evga 3060ti queues even if you're unlikely to see a card from there since they're still on December notifies, watch BB drops, and get on a stock drop discord
Hey can any1 help me?
tfw they just leave
@wanton cliff wdym they still here
I don't want to build my own pc so I am customizing a pc on the CLX website, is CLX any good?
building pc isnt that difficult
Redux better
takes around one hour for a first timer id say
ah jeez server lag
mmmmmm
getting parts isn't difficult, right
Well uh
GPUs...
GPUs...
cpu is fine id say
5000 series high ends are somewhat difficult
you got one
Yessir
does anyone know if CLX is atleast decent? Like any here has ever had one or does
Arriving Friday
Idk much about prebuilt quality, other than never buy anything dell cause dell sucks
Yeah. I have an Alienware with a 1080 and i7 7700k rn
well hopefully the dell curse doesn't rub off on yourself
jk
Building your own is just a lot cheaper and itās pretty rewarding
mhmm
However if you really can't a prebuilt isnt always a terrible option
Mhm
right now prebuilts aren't too bad of an option
if you can find a well priced one
No
Pre-builts are a good way to get a good gpu relatively quickly right now
If you shop around and know enough (or are willing to learn enough) to fix any minor issues from transit/bad building (loose cables, turn on xmp, etc) they can be a really good option right now
mhmm
Have you already bought parts? Could go prebuilt. Also get in the evga queue, may take a while but at least get a spot. The 3060 queue has been moving relatively well so far
Could still be months and months for the 3060 though given we're now like 15 days out from launch day or whatever
If I go for a pre-built am I able to play games like Pubg Fortnite
Yeah. It's a computer
350 for a 7990 isn't too great
Well no. No computer plays an online game with no lag
100 dollars less maybe
But yes, you can get a prebuilt that will play games at high FPS, all depends on what is in the prebuilt
Can you explain what is a pre build Iām kinda new in computers so please?
A prebuilt pc is one that's already put together. Places like Cyberpower, iBuypower, Microcenter, etc. have prebuilt pcs
even walmart has their own
You have less choice in the parts going into a prebuilt system and have to pay for labor, but it can be a good option if it's priced reasonably well
So how much itās going to cost me?
Which one? I should go for?
id go second one
if looking for max performance
but lets start with your budget?
how much are you looking to spend?
1300$
With monitor cuz didnāt have pc before
Can any one suggest me any good pre build pc?
I don't have a good handle on which brands offer good deals unfortunately. But it'd probably help if you let people know your budget and what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at
1300-1400$ with everything including monitor
I have a better option
well actually'
the 3070 one seems fine but let me see if I can get it priced nice on this website
actually hold up
yeah nvm cant beat it
@pine stone go with that ABS one with the 3070
980 pro dumb
does anyone know what to do if your computer is turning on but not giving out a signal output
if u want stupid sequentials maybe but like
3 people need dumb sequentials here
and one of them is me
Bruh itās out of my budget
oh sad
f
then I can send something that might be in budget hold on
$1300 right?
oh with monitor included
eh
I cant get it in the range with build redux
pricing wack
No they are out out stock
yeah but this is on the build redux website
Do you think stores have stock
no
So I just figured out why parts on pcpp don't show up sometimes, if you have certain parts selected, if others "are not compatible" then pcpp removes them from the search.šš¤¦āāļø
But like, the Eatx mobo I want will fit in a 5000d, so idk why it says it isn't compatible
How bout this one
Bruh, you could almost get a 3080 for that price
Any leads on pre-builts with lower markups for them Vintage?
Not really no
Yeah? FE 3080 is only $700 dude
Good luck getting one. Drops every two weeks in extremely high demand from one retailer. While most of the 3080s go for like $850+
Well, be fast, don't buy from scalper sights, and know what you want
Yes there is $850 3080s from other manufacturers, but that doesn't change the fact the FE is a $700 GPU
learn to host
... it also doesn't change the fact that it doesn't represent the market well to use one card in extremely short supply as a landmark. It's great for those who get one, but there are not many who do
And you think spending nearly as much on a significantly lesser GPU is worth it?
No
Wait for a 3080, be happier with your purchase
If I bought a 1070 for $600 I would regret it the second I did it.
I wasn't arguing in favor of a $550 1070....
I was just saying 3080s are not generally going for close to $550.
I didn't say they either, I said that you could almost get a 3080 for $600. Save up $100 more, and boom, you got a 3080, instead of that sub par 1070.
By the way, FE 3080 is actually the most consistent 3080 drops with the most stock from all the drops I've seen
Maybe cause Nvidia actually makes the card, instead of sending the chips to manufactures and having them slap something together.
We know it's every week/every other week on Tuesdays or Thursdays at best buy, and every time it does drop, it lasts 5+ minutes, much better than most other drops.
Record so far was lasting about 15 minutes for the fe 3080
So, let's say I was going to get one, should I go in store? Or order online?
It's also very dependent on where you are. I've gotten into queue right at the start and never got the 2nd atc button
BB is online only
Oh, dang
BB may drop tomorrow iirc
And they're isn't a microcenter within a 1000 miles of me so I guys in person buying is out of the picture
9 to noon est typically
@stoic island So, how important is ram timings for gaming? Let's say I was to get a 3600cl16 over a 4000cl15, obviously the 4000cl15 is better, but how useful would it actually be paired up with a 5800x and a 3080
yee
So I would be fine getting the 3600cl16?
I'm moments away from pulling the trigger on buying my upgrades. would like some reassurance that I'm doing this right. I'm buying this with the intention of updating the bios before i install my cpu, from what I can tell the MOBO supports this. I'm just nervous as crap because i've never done a bios update before. also with my issues with gigabyte PSU earlier, i'd like to know that the PSU i picked is decent and will last a while.. for the most part lol. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/squirrelsht/saved/rktmrH
currently on a i5 4690k and a 2060super.
which would be the best z390 micro atx to overclock like a i7-9600k
Might want something like an MP34 or an SN750 over a P1
noted and updated to incorporate teh WD SN750.
š
Oo
What's the SN750 now, $129?
$134 atm from amazon
Can I daisy chain 3 fans and a water block to a single DRGB header?
Every time I ask, chat dies smh
IDK, I don't do RGB lol

I know you can do 3-5 fans on a power header
What are you?
IDK what amperage is rated for RGB/aRGB
NORMAL
Does RGB take up more power than a fan?
That's not normal
I paid extra for this thing
Rgb is normal
For the RGB
depends on the RGB strip.
This is normal.
Where tf are your cables
Clean, sleek build
Shush
But how tf are you so good at cable management???
OCD
I literally can only see your pump and 2 cables
Plus mobo cables but those barely exist as it is
Bruh, you missing a cpu power cable
Bruh, I'm not
Kekw
-_-
