I've learned a lot from upgrading to a new motherboard and CPU.

• A previous motherboard can insert a brand-related probing registry that can cause BSoDs on newer, unrelated motherboards.
• Reinstalling Windows is the only way swapping can go relatively smooth.
• Despite keeping personal files upon reinstalling the OS, because some of the apps are tied to Windows registries, I had to uninstall and reinstall what remains.
• Tying the OS product key to the Microsoft account is the most seamless experience to resolve deactivation...unless the Microsoft servers are down.
• Panel switches need a recognizable way to know which side of the plug they must insert.
• NEVER set up RAID for a M.2 NVMe drive.

I probably should've taken the time to backup browser bookmarks and other small things prior to installing a new motherboard, but that's hindsight I probably wouldn't forget next time.
