lol i used to get in games with him all the time
his malding is funny
he called me a soap bar
definetly aero15 for that pricwe
is there Clevo that delivers in NA
but for that price cant go wrong with the aero
^
xotic does NA
im gonna be honest the only gigabyte laptop ive ever worked on was one that was less than 2 years old
board failure
OOF
literally all my laptops have been clevo machines
my dell g7 has been ensalved for 2.5 yrs and its running like a charm
this legion im using rn is my first non clevo device
see thats alright except
the board is upside down

so good luck repasting
fr i had to do a g7
are there 1 or 2 m.2 slots on clevo/tongfang chassis?
and ya, i know its upside down haha
thats why i dont want to repaste
damn lol
just gonna give laptop to mother once my pc is built, she just watches netflix and uses Facebook
you can go nuts with clevo
im gonna be honest like
can u spend ummmmm
1.5?
if you care more abt portable power and less so about like
i mean if im spending 1.5 id just get a gs66
actual portability
no listen
desktop ryzen
in a laptop
clevo is nuts lol
i was so close to getting a 10900k laptop from them
i need one that's lasting me all of uni so i'll likely carry it around
and when im in my dorm i'll just have an external monitor
if it were me id get something that could like
yeah i dont mind the performance, as long as it suffices
unless u actually do science and engineering
be easily repaired
i absolutely needed my g7 for school
so no razer
and less gigabyte imo
not to say theyre not good machines
its just that there are 0 parts
took ages to run simulations for astrophysics
why arent you considering lenovo?
i am very happy with my legion from them
✅ Price Match Guarantee✅ Free Shipping✅ NEW Lenovo Legion 7i 15 inch Intel gaming laptops are equipped with immense power ✅ NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ ✅ Enhanced cooling ✅ Rich visuals
if u have a monitor, do you have peripherals already?
one of these should suit you well
im an extreme power user and i love mine to death
very picky with laptops
im not a sucker for the extruding back grills lol
yes
lol
"better" cooling
i'd prefer a laptop that's like below 4.5 pounds if im honest lol, stuff adds up quick in a backpack
lets the screen come closer to you
i feel you im super mobile
just saying i am extremely happy with my legion
dude, just build a normal PC for like $900-$1000 and spend rest on a chromebook
keyboard is excellent as well
like if lenovo had pretty smaller form factor and sacrificed thermals id definitely consider it more
yeah gaming laptops are nice but
they dont age the best
i prefer for my laptop to not melt itself lul
the only reason why im considering the blade 15 and the gs66 is because of the form factor
is apevia a trustworthy psu brand?
the heck is that brand lol
yeah but im probably not gonna have that much time to game in college tbf so it'll mostly be there for day-to-day work
never heard of them
they have like 70 dollar 80 plus gold psus
here's an important question @astral swift , are you going into freshman year? and what are you going to school for?
going into freshmen year, planning on majoring in either neuroscience or econ
you dont need a gaming laptop bruh
id rather not build one in my dorm for gaming though lol
never seen a reason for gaming laptops unless you travel alot
like i said previously, the only people tht actually need them, are the ones doing serious swcience and engineering
gaming laptops are nice if you need a lot of power
neuroscience
its nice pumping out encodes on a laptop
i mean neural engineering is always an option lol
dude, a bachelors in that field is nothing
most unis these days let you change your major like clothes
get a good pc later if u do that, u dont need it now
if you just want me to point you at a laptop get the aero
since you want a gaming thin and light
alr thanks
which are 2 things that dont go together at all
if your gonna change your major “like clothes” you better have a pretty big trust fund
ya, if u just want a finger point, the aero 15 is best, but i dont think its the best idea for you to get it
ill sell u my 3 year old alienware gaming laptop with a loud fan and the keycap missing on the right bracket and w key, and the 3, 5, and period key dont work
lmao what cpu/gpu
g7?
ill give u $250 for it
3090 or no deal
@upper cobalt i mean you can take a lot of the required courses if you switch majors at your local uni
if the credits transfer
the sad part is i got it when i had a large amount of money saved and was absolutely deadbrained
$1300
laptop? you mean ssh terminal with a battery?
for this piece of crap
i mean it's lasted 3 years i guess
gaming laptops are great tbh
kind of
dell makes some alright laptops too
my 8750h is busted bruh, i feel u
it served me well for like the first
year
but after that it just went ded
i could hardly run anything
my 8750h loves me uwu
yeah id buy the new xps 15 if it wasn't 1899 lmao
yeah you need to repaste stuff constantly
since its a discontinued model
lmao imagine spending $150 to replace a $8 part
dell gave bios update and i cant undervolt anymore so is HOT

what model is it
die
LUL
i have a question

wat
no idea lol
note: the thing was a bit bigger then a half dollar coin
aliexpress
imagine hating on aliexpress
this is why you ended up spending $150 to fix a $10 part
so is there actually a way to acquire a 3060 ti without buying from a scalper?
no
ya, its called patience
just spend a week staring at a refresh bot
no
spam refresh button or wait for restock within a few months
there isnt
time to get the good warranty for my laptop
ive decided im keeping it
so time to get 4 year adp
ooo
so is there other ways to buy it other than ebay?
i got a 2080 laptop for $1200 kek
yeah, seriously, just wait
no need to rush
literally the best deal ive seen tbh
7i?
really is
OOF
not the best cpu, from my experience
this is literally for when i visit family
plus this one is properly cooled
and the motherboard isnt flipped
how long have you had it
takes me 15 mins to repaste
D:
how much paste u use on laptop repaste?
not too much tbh
i might repaste this G7 b4 giving to mother
hold my beer
and ive been working with laptops for years lul
but
not too much
just cover the entire die on the cpu and ur good
u rub it in to cover all? or just a little drop then spread on its own?
ya i know lmao
as well as some other stuff
dirtbags
is there a way to make them so that they automatically stay in the mobo sync mode
ya, i got all i need from the vids i've seen
not always default to the manual mode when i reboot
just need to watch a vid on the process
Anyone have a idea why my computer restarts randomly and then once it restarts it loads to the windows loading screen then reboots again and again
reinstall time
lol
^
Reinstall windows?
yep
CMOS
hope u have a backup
or reinstall
do cmos first
^
I turned the reset off when it has issues
To try and figure out what the problem is
back up everything while u can
you guys think i could salvage a sound card that blew something on the pcb
no idea what that fan even is lul
cheap gamer rgb fans
those uphere ones have pretty low airflow
i wanna do a purple build for my next pc
planning to ball the hell out when i get new job
want dual 3090
dual 3090 epyc build when
speaking of fans, any good rbg 120mm fans for a decent price
ruth bader ginsburg is dead
but luckily, rgb fans exist
cooler master makes some alright ones
depends on what kind of rgb you want
wym like argb or rgb?
theres ring rgb
wow their site is not having a good time rn
or theres "whole fan rgb" as i like to call it
like this
i rly like these lian li fans tbh, will probably end up with one of these for next build
yea probably whole rgb
here
considering i already have corsair fans would it be a pain to mix and match brands?
what are you looking for gaming or work
is in the middle ok?
yea, but also keep in mind pc part prices are insanely high right now
fr i checked
u might want to wait till January to build/order your parts
that was my plan
i can try and make something but dont mind the price to much
sure
no
Can someone take a look at a list I just put together for a first time builder? Want some advice on what could be improved or changed.
@prime orchid send ur list
@little cradle https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jDskgt
people in here will probably critique to be better
but i think its pretty decent
yea youll probably be able to find cheaper 2070 super
depends on if my budget changes also
@prime orchid budget?
I have a 5600x coming in luckily lol but for everything else. About $1000
maybe to be safe i would get a 750w psu
and yea @little cradle if you can get a rtx 3060 for retail that would be good
then yea youll be fine
yeah it will be
dw
oh yeah if ur not oc'ing then 650 will be great
omg my internet is so bad
you can find 750w psu for around the price that is 80+ gold
just bought the mobo for my build, first actual step made towards my first build
pogging hard rn
aorus pro ac lookin fresh wit dat integrated wifi
So I made fans really quiet and now all I hear is the pump
one of my fans has a slight rattle sometimes
its not too bad tho
if it does get bad tho ill just replace it
cheap
I have all of my fans at 500 rpm and there magnetic
Corsair
idk why i just always hated corsair
I have 2 other fans that are Corsair sp fans and there also super quiet
Why?
corsair makes good psus
i have never bought a single component from them besides their ssd
i love their rgb lol
i just dont know why i hate them
i love their ssds to death tho
There rgb number 1
riasroc
How fast is your pump? Mine at 2200rpm
75% rn at 2200rpm
Nice
nice me too
Offset?
5.1ghz all core at 1.38v
5.1 gang
I havent played around much with mine
prolly could fine tune it better
just havent felt like it
Nah it’s cause of my avx I think it’s called
It lowers the clock down
Mine will lower to 4.9 under full load
I could do that but I don’t like playing with volts over 1.36
Same
Here’s a fun fact. Electricity actually has weight and that’s why parts in a system die overtime.
yeah im sure its really good
I was a bigger fan of this mobo tho because of the extra m.2 slot lmao and some other stuff
Nice
huge chonker heatsinks
uh I cant remember let me check
Alright
I cant find out lol
@ripe wedge nvm I looked at the board. I like the look of it
Hello
hi
12+1 I think
How chu
Pretty good
How u like my pc
Heh
Nvm
Tbh i had the mother bord for a year or two so idk
@muted sluice found the z490 list
I am actully gonna save tha no 🧢
but yea my mobo is S+
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yPS3hj_K7EPT4RBWCyjdKNP56pnwDz-IgBc0975-FUg/edit?usp=sharing
Hi all, since the other day I could not find any VRM lists that provided a satisfactory overview of the VRM situation on LGA1200 motherboards, I decided to start one myself... I have put in most...
this is where this came from
@muted sluice i think its an e
We have the same mobo then
Noice
Nice
same model ish
With same rgb
if he said 2 years
Ok it’s like a couple months old
im going to sleep
@muted sluice well covid makes it feel longer
Good night
Yea got a 16 gig 3200 kit
Im planning on upgrade to 4x32
Yep
@little osprey
@muted sluice this is my sitem Intel Core i9-10900K 3.7GHz
32GB RAM, 4TB HDD, 1TB SSD
ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2080Ti 11GB
3600 or 5600 for budget gaming?
Would I be fine not screwing in the middle screw on the top of the motherboard, it's an mATX board with a pretty large air cooler, and the standoff is a bit crooked (can't really fix that) so I don't want to try force the screw in.
@open peak hmmmm if u think that u can get away with it then try it but if u are worryed ask for more options so u have a better idea of what to do
@fast dust
hot glue fixes anything ;)
just run the pc laying down xD
Seems to be all good, barely flexes at all
I'll just keep an eye on it for the next hour to make sure it's all good
Actually on that note, how much flex is to much?
I would say it's only flexing like 3mm max
is there a big noticeable difference between the Crucial P1 and MP34?
fans came in today :)
nice!
WHAT LMAO
I am watching a vid that compares the 970 evo plus and crucial P1 Loading fortnite time and crucial P1 is faster 💀
Yo whered the build pics channel go
@fallen escarp just checking, you know 5v pwm is different from the standard 12v from mobo fan headers right?
Flight sims are going to be cpu intensive. However you will need a good gpu as well. What flight simulator are you looking at? X-Plane, MS?
Not sure which one. I'm helping my buddy
FS2020?
My friend just went into a meeting. I'll ask him when he comes out
There are some good articles out there with some benchmarking in FS2020. You'll likely want to have minimum 16 gb ram, an 8 core processor(min), and a decent graphics card if you want to achieve good frame rates and decent graphics settings.
mm
The minimum system requirements are pretty low, however that will just get you flying. I personally like the immersion with higher graphics settings.
I don't even know if the newest stuff can run FS2020 on 4k with anything left for frames lol
@stoic island fsb2020 he's got controller, pedals and throttle
Fs 2020
Needs a good gpu
Hi
@ivory beacon what's the budget?
Who likes my pc???
it looks nice
i like the loop you have set up
Tbh ill show thw wireing when im home for u
What?? Fortnite! Thats crazy bro
@stoic island keeping it under 2k
oh wow
just for the gpu or in general?
Total
oh ok
It was probably a minor difference that has nothing to do with the ssd, just luck. Games have a bandwidth cap so any ssd wit like say 700 mbps and above will have the same results (given a minor difference every time)
What
Who is good at makeing the rgb lighting stuff
Didnt understand one thing @stoic island
Rgb controller?@tardy nexus
as in physically with strip rgbs or software-wise?
lol
hes too desperate
🤕
ikr
im gonna join just to see what tf it is
U have 1 member stop
@ivory beacon dm
wish me luck
Hahah lol lmao hehe rofl
he probably deleted it
@gleaming quartz as in the corsera control pannle
ah i see
for me i like just keeping all of my motherboard controlled lights on a static color
So for the sim I want to go with intel ye?
woooooooooooooooooot
yes.
@gleaming quartz dm
whyyy
not pog
like
if ur mobo has ugly rgb like asrock non-partner and ur not using razer, then yeah... but static mobo rgb? that just messes up the rest of the system
it's either rgb match, or rgb off
are 2 case fans enough for a 2 fan 3060 ti
example if I'm getting a fractal meshify c case
are the 2 case fans in i t enough for a 2 fan 3060 ti
for me its literally just my motherboard's lighting that i can change and that everything connected to my mobo gets set to the same lighting

how do I keep the price of a 3090 + 5950x build below 4k (disregarding storage, which I already have)
this is my build right now
I want to try and keep it below 4k
why do you need 2 monitors, for one.
purchased already
ah ok
so it doesnt matter
what do you have already
everything that says 'purchased'
whats good for a 3090?
i would say around 1100 or 1000w
850watt is more than enough
jeez 1k watt psus are a lot cheaper
3070/3080/3090 = 650/750/850
I also have a 5950x with this build, which only uses about 105w but still
@wanton cliff mainly because the ones you are looking at are low quality
also why do you need 128gbs of ram @wanton cliff
Better to have more than you need than not have enough
altho 64gb is probs enough
EVGA G1+?
1k watt and 80+ gold
just do 900w
g1+ is a B tier unit
or 850 like naed said
G3?
i was just repeating the recommended numbers
It is good to go above reccommended with Ampere
not really
well, better safe than sorry
better actually understand the "why" vs just mindlessly buying something
Im not mindlessly buying anything, as shown by the fact that I am putting it up here first
yeah theres a difference between 'recommended' and 'minimum' requirements
oh yeah
2018 RMx?
people constantly misunderstand how PSU's actually work
and what it means with actual quality components
see the pins
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev. 14.6 Last Update: 29-11-2020 Gray - EoL / obsolete. Generally not recommended for purchase since its going to be pre-owned, refurbished or old stock. Green - small form-factor (gold and blue colors are disregarded due to scarcity of SFX PSUs) Gold - best units in the tier (...
like the difference between an RMx vs RM psu from Corsair
are 2 case fans enough for a 2 fan 3060 ti
example if I'm getting a fractal meshify c case
are the 2 case fans in i t enough for a 2 fan 3060 ti
yes @tender fjord
will I get sub 60 temps
that is mostly based on your cpu cooler im pretty sure
it does not matter if you do or not @tender fjord
the gpu and cpu are both fine at those low temps
they are made to handle way higher temps
no ik it can handle them
but my fans are gonna be really loud
and I hate having loud fans
just throttle your fans
how is that 1800
pcpp list link instead @ivory beacon ?
is that seriously 1800
because there are a bunch of things that make no sense, price wise in that list
with those parts
1,000$ for a 2070. Insanity!!!!
send the pcpp link
what mobo is that
that u sent in the pic
App won't let me share link
its kind of mediocre but it works i guess so whatever
don't pay 1000 for a 2070
Yes No Yes? TOTAL : $1,868

A complete system builder and part picker : CPU, Motherboard, Ram, SSD, HDD, GPU, PSU, Case, Cooler, ...
take that app, and throw it as far away as you can
yeah
pc builder
don't ever spend 1000 on a 20 series gpu
https://pcpartpicker.com/ <- just use that directly in a browser
because you actually end up with links that you can share
that make sense to people
true true
wth
and its not that the 1000 for the 2070Super is unheard of, its just reality of old stock and vendors marking up like crazy
the enthusiast pc is such a good pc for 1300
it's perfect
oh wait price for the ryzen 5 5600x is unavailable
USB or pcie for WiFi?
Anything in particular you’d recommend?
Msi B450 tomahawk max
I got dis
Well my friend does actually lol
the Brostrend AC5 has a lot of good ratings on pcpp and its only 16 bucks
no complaints about latency and such
is it good?
yeah ig
I like the rgb on it
Ty
np
even though you can barely see it normally
Is the B550M good?
i would assume so
that’s supposed to be the mb lighting
lol
but yeah otherwise its pretty serviceable, it has lots of ports on the back, 4 pcie slots, and 4 ram slots
theres more but i forgot what it is
oh yeah and 4 SATA ports with an m.2 port
heres the link if you're intrested @little osprey
aight ty
Good morning! I am trying to upgrade from an i3 to an i5 and I was redirected here from the support chat. I can post my specs. I am really trying to upgrade to something that will be compatible with what i've already got built
Yeah pls post your specs
Also are you going to change your motherboard
dont do i5 do i7 atleast also dpnt buy a 2070 get a 3060 ti its 399$ and is bettter than 2080 super

I would like to JUST get the processor if I can get one that is compatible.
I was sent this one a while back when he said I would need to upgrade at some point. But support said that could be a year from then (October at the time).
those things are not compatible @dawn cosmos
not that particular one, but something that supports that cpu
How do I know what is compatible?
you trust tools like pcpartpicker, or you do a bunch of research
and go to system builder
@fair birch just add "/list" to your link :)
I did not know that existed
yeah its very helpful
Just did my first build but not able to get it to post asrock pro4-F with ryzen 3800x. The asrock box said it is ryzen 3000 series ready so I don't think it is the bios.
Connected both the DVI and VGA to monitors, nothing shows up there and I don't hear any beeps, and it reboots in about 10 seconds. I don't think the case has a speaker unless it is something that isn't mentioned. It's a carbide 100R.
Only other noteworthy thing is the and fan spins for a second but then stops. RGB is still going. Not sure if the fan stops because it isn't hot at all yet.
which asrock
Any help is appreciated
like b450?
Asrock b450m pro4
@lapis flicker where exactly is the monitors connected?
ok the motherboard is good
VGA and DVI off the mobo
that does not work
you need a GPU
yeah...
Didn't work when I had my video cards in it either
you need a gpu installed and powered, and plugged into it
Ok are the two storage units needed?
Sorry 1
ok
the mainboard will NOT work at anypoint as a output source with that particular CPU
are CPU and processor coolers the same thing?
CPU and Processor are the same thing
@spare crown what do you think?
Hey guys
the cpu and processor are the same, the cooler coolers the cpu/processor
@ivory beacon I think its overpriced
so on that site you sent me, I cannot find my CPU cooler. Do I just skip that or is that a required part for the system builder?
like a list under 600?
@ivory beacon u could get a 3070 build out of 1800$
The new list I posted?
@dawn cosmos just skip for now
@ivory beacon 1080 ti switch it for 3070
key word is for now tho if you try to build one without it wont be a fun experience
you could get a 3070 build out of 1k
For fs2020 ?
could do 3080 + r5 5600x for 1500
@little osprey theres a crap ton of small factors that affect testing
@vital warren if u need the best build of 3070 its 1800 @vital warren
therefore every run varies
unless u going for a cheap one
not even close luck
because of the tiny variations
if you want a 5600x - maybe 1200 for that and a 3070
1800 is too much for a 3070 build
@vital warren u need to account for other things
unless you have an o11 and want to spend a kidney on fans
I want to keep it under 2k
no :D
1800 sounds really good
i'll send an example for something at 1k
I plugged my video cards back in and have it connected to the 8 pins for it (6+2) and nothing gets outputted to the monitor. 1660ti
also motherboard lol
^this works fine
if you want to spend 1800 on a 3070 build, go ahead and burn that money lol
well?
Fans on the video card do spin
Well I want to he able to upgrade it in the future
if you have any 5v headers, you might be able to use it, but you won't be able to use normal 12v fan headers
can still keep it well under 2000 with good upgradability
there's a difference between the normal pwm model and the 5v pwm model
And need it to run fs2020 on high or max graphics
oh
what resolution?
@vital warren might need a better power supply
i'll check in with the mobo i chose, thanks @stoic island
:)
if ur gunna oc
the build from dwella @stoic island
1920 x 1080?? Not sure tbh
the card draws like 250w OCed
that's just 30w on top of the estimated tdp
so uh
yea
you know 3600 is a 65w rated chip, pretty sure PL is like 87w, 105w is max it could be
too lazy to check
either way
that brings total power usage to less than 500w still
I cannot find the specific specs for my hard drive on that system builder? What do I need for it so i know what to look for. I have my GPU, CPU, Memory, and power supply
oh wait
I get it now
i choose from what i have then plug in the parts i want to upgrade to. Right?
yeah i got the motherboard. Storage i don't know my exact brand
@dawn cosmos can you share your list?
The list from sytem builder on pc picker? Or my specs from the PC
pcpp list
Hmmm
@stoic island can you check if this mobo is compatible with 5v pwn fans?
uhhh
go for a 2060 super because it's cheaper and better than the 2070 and go for another fan, and you're good to go
I'm so confused

?
2060 super is out the budget tho
i5 10th cpu with a 20th series gpu and it rolled out to 1500 bucks for ruospo
stay with a 2060 then
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hcv3mk this one?
I'm sorry. I have never used this site before
something like this? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/7hLsnL
Alright, so what do you want to upgrade?

These two are what the support sent me
via newegg website. Until they redirected me to the discord
hm, pretty high prices
Why ping at 1:00 am
But on the system builder these two parts are not showing up? I would like to only upgrade the processor unless I REALLY need something else. But compatibility with what i've got now is important.
by the way, you can use pcpp Israel
https://il.pcpartpicker.com/list/
So, looking at it now, I'd personally change the ram you currently have to a better kit, because 2x8 of 2133mhz mixed with 2x8 3000mhz is not gonna go well with Ryzen
Fml
or just only use the 2x8gb 3000mhz kit
Because Ryzen really likes higher ram freq for IF
So the two part links i posted. These are what I need to upgrade to?
My only compatible concern is PSU
can someone recommend me a ram that looks good i need 2x8 3600 please
what exact PSU do you have?
But if i do upgrade to that ryzen processor, i need to even out my RAM
I'm sorry, I don't know what that is
Power supply
Mixing ram makes the ram run at the lowest frequency of all the sticks
and running Ryzen with 2133mhz ram is... Inadvisable, it'll work, but doesn't run that well
Ah, I have this: 600 Watt - 80 PLUS Gold Certified
@stoic island hey
hey
uhh i can see. But that would require me taking the entire thing apart. Lemme look one more time
Is there a 625$ budget
I'll make one

Thx
Reason: Bad word usage
So my stuff is hardcore out of date huh, Looks like the 600W could be 1 of 3: A corsair SF600, LEPTON 600W or EVGA 600W. Those 3 all look similar to the what I have now.
it should tell u the brand
Uh I mean look at the model on the PSU, but well, good nuff, should have standardized connectors
The only way i can get to my PSU right now is to shut down my computer and take it apart. It has a big shield between the other parts and the PSU.
I just wanted to check for 24pin and eps 8 pin to be standardized
but it should be fine
I have 2 separate connectors if that helps. PCI-E 2 of those
As long as it's a normal PSU, and not an OEM PSU, it'll have standardized enough connectors to fit the new mobo
so if it's a normal PSU, it'll be fine
The only way to check that is to fully inspect?
Well I selected the parts from IBUYPOWER. But that was 3 years ago. I've still got the order history and such. That's where my specs I posted earlier came from
let me check my device manager
PSU doesn't communicate with the PC
you can't check anything on the PSU via software
Ofc it doesn't lol
It should have it somewhere though if the power is supplying my GPU right?
hm?
Nvm. I'm not helping.
anyways you should be able to take off the side panel and the psu shroud
can i run my notcua fans with these? can i also mount them on my AIO?
yeah i'm gonna have to so we get the right path. Gimme a few
@fallen escarp Basically, the problem right now is there's no 5v header on your mobo that I can see that'll match the pinout for the fan.
Pinout on the 5v fan:
the 5v aRGB header, the only 5v header I see on your motherboard's pinout looks like this
fan :
+5v Signal, RPM Signal, +5v power, GND
Header :
+5v power, dRGB Signal, empty, GND
@fallen escarp So I believe you should try to return the 5v pwm version for the 12v pwm version
Quick explanation?
i think thats basically just if you prioritize work, buy intel, but if you prioritize gaming, buy ryzen is what that means
um?
since most people who prioritize work wont need a gpu for heavy processing, unlike ryzen where you do need a gpu because of the lack of igpu
There is NO way im getting this panel to expose my PSU unless i take the entire outer shell of and dismantle the motherboard.
am i wrong?
usually the PSU shroud has like 2 screws, and all you need to get those screws off is the side panel off
no need to get the entire mobo off usually
@gleaming quartz well
I wouldn't jump to that conclusion
Its a RAEDEON MAX white shell. I had no idea getting my PSU would require all of this work.
4 screws and 4 smaller screws just to get the thing loss. There are a bunch of extra wires underneath so i can't even budge it free without removing the motherboard from its housing.
@dawn cosmos Well, you could look at the connector on the mobo side too, like check if the mobo 24pin is 24pin, and if the EPS 8 pin is a 8 pin connector
usually it's easier to just look at the PSU lol
no idea that your case is just... bad about looking at the PSU
what does 24 pin mean? Let me try one more thing
okay so the other side comes off... the pull tabs were just hiding.... I can get to the PSU now
@dawn cosmos Alright, so can you check the model of the PSU now?
what does it say on the PSU?
doesnt the intel cpu's have a little lmore fps in games?
hmmmmm
i seen that 3600x has a l;ittle less pref in gmaes than 10400f
once i was looking forprebuilts, i was checking the preformance
but i ofc build my own
intel and ryzen individual cpu benchmarking is inconsistent because sometimes intel is better at ryzen with one cpu and vise versa
alr
dont make these generalizations then
yeah same
ayy
its more personal preference
actually that was my first cpu then i upgraded to a r7 3800x
I'll be eating lunch so I'll get back to you soon
No problem. I’ll have to go to work here shortly as well. So won’t be by my PC
wait megakrush
Fair
whats ur issue
@fossil halo just checking comparability
hey 2700x is a good cpu
I’m trying to upgrade
its not grbage
So wanted to find psu and it's connectors
oh
Will that work for you?
Compatibility
Can I put it back together?
my build is a laptop
Looks like it's standard and will work @dawn cosmos
Sweet
Going off this thing I found
its all ketchup and mustard.
@dawn cosmos CPU+Mobo is all that needs for it to run, ram will make it work a lot better, if you get a single kit of 3600c16. But if you just use the 3000c16 kit in your list right now, and ditch the 2133c16 kit, it'll still work well
It's the 2133mhz kit that'll cause perf drops
Which is hopefully the ones I bought with the Pc not the ones I just purchased
im planning to switch out fans, can anyone reccommend me some?
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB Founders Edition Video Card
This is the good stuff yeah?
yessir
Out of stock 😩
