Reason: Bad word usage
Reason: Too many infractions
😳
🗿
Not good btw
could just get a 2tb for like 10 dollars more
stop spamming
we've all been there
Watched tokyo ghoul once and you think you’re some type of depressed e boy
💀
Danger
thank you
Bet you cant punch
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/kfmqdD my take on this build
Bro i hate when people spam in chat like that
same
yeah i dmed a mod to get them banned
I already watch both
i think it worked
huh
im around 4k+ now i think
anyways i gotta sleep thank you for the help
go
whoever wanted a 1k list here it is https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/wMTBvf
At least get bronze or gold
i dont think the 1tb ssd is needed. 2tb hdd is enough
Hard drives are good for vids and photos anyways
honestly at a low budget 500gb ssd is ideal
So. 2600 is still a good cpu. 3600 isn’t a question due to ram prices in CA. So 3200 and a B450 board is perfect for you. I was able to squeeze in 3TB of storage. 1TB DRAM Cache SSD. 2TB HDD. 5600XT speaks for itself in terms of raw 1080p storage. Now. This is where you can edit the list. If 500GB of SSD space is good. Go for it. Put the 50 bucks into a better PSU or case. Up to you
and storage is pretty easy to expand later on if you don't need it instantly
erina ikumi megumi satoshi takumi ryoko hisako isami shun zenji soma yuki
those are the main group than you have
this may take a while
in CA 3100 is cheaper but theyre pretty much the same cpu anyways
yeah a 2600 and a 3100 are similar in performance
This was my pc part picker progress
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vxcYXb opinions on this build? i was just throwing things together 😋
some parts i like and some parts i dont like
mp34 nvme
Just a quick edit if you wish for a 500GB SSD @fallen harbor
Better PSU in terms of rating and warranty
Ngl. I’m kinda happy with the build I put together for the chap
A build under 1k that’ll give him high 1080p FPS
I think mine will do fine as well
its good
alice nao ryo miyoko akira takumi yua madoka subaru urara daigo shoji kiyoshi kanichi etsuya tetsuji terunori nene tentaro mea seigemichi rui julio skoko eishi rindo tosuke momo somei gin joichiro riko azami jun
Im not gonna go on max graphics anyways
but also b550 would be useful for future upgrades
It took a lot to think about. But budget building? At a certain point - especially when dealing with CA - is where you trade off upgrades for pure preform exe
B550 is hella expensive in CA
sacrifice the 500gb ssd
everything is going up in price due to covid just hit near home to me
For what?
keep the 2tb
And if you go B550
You need a 30XX CPU
Which throws the entire build in a ruckus
that 80+ more for mobo
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/pQw6Bc ight i did some edits to @karmic bobcat 's build
get the 3100 then same cpu but cheaper
gotta love pandemic prices
😔

That’s way overpriced ram
i cant sleep
because fast ngl
Yea
i got 2 weeks for the prices to go down if not ill just raise my budget and wait 3 weeks
That’s marginal gains
im going for nvme cause im rendering videos and recording so i need fast access
Honestly not sure which one I want. Acer got some good Pros. HDR, Energy Efficient and Certified. But the MSI has better Vertical Digital Frequency 47 Hz - 145 Hz and correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that mean the FreeSync on the MSI is better?
https://www.displaydb.com/compare/acer-vg240y-p/msi-optix-g241
Are gpu prices gonna increase?
I mean there is no real difference between SATA 6Gb/s over NVMe
LTT even proved as such
true but looks better ig
and yeah 3200 cl16 is overpriced
Checkmate
im recording and rending gaming lol
My build still reigns supreme

i think hes gonna stream and record stuff
^
oh stream
my youtube is going on freeze till my pc is here
then why not go with a nvidia gpu to take advantage of nvenc?
so like 1 month with no editing cause my editor quit
@fallen harbor https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZLdXfP
That’ll be the best for you then
updated?
Mhm
why would i got from a 3600 to a 2600?
yes it 100$ cheeper but i can get 100 if needed
You want under 1k. Yes?
Because if you go 3600 CPU. You want 3600mhz ram to pair with it
^
no i want around under 1.1k tbh anything under is fine as long as its near 1k
Which requires a more powerful board. So it’ll most likely need to be a B550 board. Which drives up cost
if cost is needed ill do it for my channel lol
i already spent 150$ on a video last week
Then that defeats the purpose of the budget imo
yeah
The 2600 still stands well today
yes it will stand well for around 1 more year tho when the new cpus come out it will drop also its for gaming and streaming at same time it will show some flex when im playing somehting like r6 or cold war
ight i made this list if you're more focused on editing/rendering stuff https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/mtr6Bc
but ill compare to what erina sent and prob find oe around the mid of them both
good streamer build as well imo
ps case look doesnt matter to me
Thats over priced ram
im painting it pink anyways
@balmy patio
That’s not how it works. New hardware doesn’t make old hardware less powerful. It’s still 6C/12T. Look at old i5-60XX chips. People still use them despite newer chips coming out. The 2600 will be good for a few years time
its cad so the price would be reasonable in usd
new hardware most time means updates which makes lower hardware work harder
idk what im saying its 3am here
Its 1:19 am here
10:19pm. WEST COAST
ima go asend my childe than sleep
@fallen harbor
yo?
yeah no
Its gonna wake me up real fast
600 dollar build anyone?
But in all honesty? The newer ‘updates’ are just bug fixes and quality of life
will try to make one
You don’t notice anything truly drastic
your gonna piss yourself waking up
Lmao
If you wish for newer line of specs. Then what @balmy patio gave you is fine. Just keep in mind you’re overpaying for just like; 5 percent gains/loss
It doesn’t
600-700 is fine for a gameing pc
yeah
yea and uses are 1080p gaming games like valorant, cs, and maybe some cod
u can go higher tho just not by alot
oh then you dont need much
probably the least demanding games.
besides cod
yea
Are you gonna make a 1650 super build?
@little osprey
Thats the only thing i can think of in the budget
im bad at starting builds
dang why are the prices so weird on the 3100 and 1650s'
i let someone else make them and then i just give input to change some things
@little osprey are you in Canada or somewhere else thats not the us?
no y
Prices vary
^
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/h8mqdD ight so rn is not a good time to buy a low range system @little osprey , you'll most likely find a 3100 at the 110-120$ range and a 1650s at the 180$ range
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6RyXfP @little osprey
People may say “Ooga booga Intel bad” but for CSGO and those esports titles? High FPS is related to your CPU and Intel is good for that imo
lol
ooga booga Intel bad
I could probably meme it and make it an i3
yeah if youre just gaming intel good
@little osprey are you okay with adding a hard drive later on?
Alr
maybe even a 1660s if youre lucky
if the budget was higher then a 1660s would be reasonable for that build
Yup
This might be so bad but here https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kG6sK3 @little osprey im not good with picking parts
Best i could do
Its prob trash tho
🗿
yeah not much you can do with 600 budget build. it will still be good tho
for a starter pc
yeahh
🗿
450W is fine for an i3 and 5500XT
^
🧀
arent both the cpus yall recommended 4c/8t?
Pretty much
Reason why I swapped to a 10th gen i3 over 8th gen i5 cuz single core performance
true
Plus higher overall clock speed
i dont think multithreading is being used in val and cs
Good thing this build isn’t for you
yeup

but i mean i play these games too
Oh btw lemme help you out in your part picking skills @hoary lichen
When picking SSD
Get them with DRAM cache. Never settle for less
Ill show you guys my build when the parts all get here
Anything Zen 2? Try and go for 3600 C16 RAM
I can go into bios with my cpu and motherboard right?
But a cheap GT 210
if you had integrated graphics then yeah
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bB3sp2 this is my build btw
hopefully everything goes well
but also the prices overall were great when i bought the parts
3600x was cheaper than non x
i think the board was also a little bit cheaper
Guys
I only need to order 2 more parts
Which one do i get first
Ssd
Or
Graphics card
Alr
Set up XMP, make sure no parts are defective. That type of thing
sucks my mobo is the last thing arriving. have to check everything last minute
Can you read?
Oh true
you only have the nvme as storage right?
ok so if you get gpu first how long until you get nvme?
vice versa?
Actually
I only have 50 bucks in my wallet rn
Ima do chores
Tomorrow
Get like 20 bucks
so then ssd then gpu?
true
Im gonna get the free version of windows you download from Microsoft
well youre still gonna need a key
Nah
You can use it
But you cant change the wallpaper
I can just use wallpaper engine to change it for free
yeah ik but windows wont stop asking you to get a key
🧀
and the key is like $4 on ebay
Ima buy a 5 dollar one from ebay or something then
🗿
Bruh
Can you find one
Cause the ones that i find are usually scams
Or are stolen
you would have to ask someone else or in the #windows-ios channel
🗿
cause im also gonna need one
Lmao
Gn man I’m off to do the same
👋
Specs any good?
not bad, but if you're willing for it to come back in stock you could get a 1660 super for about $50 more than the gtx 1650 super which would be a pretty good jump up imo
i would say you can recoup that cost by jumping down from the 3600x to a 3600 but it looks like the 3600x is actually cheaper/the same price rn @sinful badger
hey I have a question
for my friend's pc one of the fans isn't spinning but the rgb is still on
anyway to fix this?
case fan
did you already check all the connections? there may be separate connections for RGB and for power @late ravine
I have a questionnnn I’m gonna be building my first pc pretty soon, and I’m in the process of picking a case
Do I need one with a built in fan?
Thankssssss
no, but you do need fans in your build. Most cases come with at least a fan or two. If they don't, you will need to get some. You might also want to get more than the case comes with if it does come with some, just depends on the airflow for you system/how many fans the case comes with
Okok if I get one that doesn’t come with any, how do I figure out how many fans I’ll need?
I don't have a perfect answer to this cause there are a lot of ways you can set up airflow in a case. I set mine up to have air coming in through the front and out through the back and the top. So I have 2 fans in the front bringing air in, two on top taking air out, and one in the back taking air out
from what I have seen that's a pretty common setup
Alright thank you!
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rrQqdD
good or bad?
id swap the ram to crucial ballistix
.
short story, this guy told me to do the same thing when i posted the list on nzxt
yeah mp34 is a great model
ok ill do it
find a different PSU
the gskill isnt bad
that model is coil whine hell
but the ballistix is just better value overall
its 3usd difference.
in favour of the Ballistix
and just going to remind you that, a HDD will be heard in that case @fallen escarp
sound wise
yes
it and the stock cpu cooler will be competing about being the loudest thing in the system
just something to keep in mind :)
and no, i am not saying it will sound like a freighttrain or something.
just that you will know when it is working
how much decibels?
actually forget it i can just get noise cancelling headphones
steelseries makes good ones
read what i said above again please :)
ok...
and just note and remember that IF you hear something all the time (when you have the system working) that is the most likely cause
and then you can take steps to mitigate it :)
no one makes gaming headsets with noise cancelling lmao
i visited a friend that had steelseries headphones
cancelled noise 100% i wasnt able to hear him lol
thats what u call passive noise cancelling lol
whatever
i mean almost everything cancels out passively
i'm not getting good vibes from you..
@fallen escarp IF you want to dig into the audio side of things, please ask in #peripherals-and-displays, there are people that frequent that chat that know a fair deal about audio. Just keep in mind, a bunch of them should be sleeping about now
oki
aside from the ssd, and psu changes, and the optional ram change if you want to save 3usd
then the rest looks okay
okay, thanks :)
you are very welcome, best of luck with the build
:D
@candid crown sorry to tag but i need to know the name of the case
@cloud gyro looks like a lian li 011 dynamic
Does anyone know, is there a white kraken z73 cooler?
looks like it’s only black
@little osprey u can spray paint it white
Soooo I’m looking to get a monitor arm and the ones in stock are up to 27” but I’m getting a 32” monitor, will that bork it?
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/9cTW9N should I buy a 850w ? With this config ?
not that 750w, but yeah
will i see a big difference from 3200mhz CL16 to 3600mhz CL16?
https://www.pc-canada.com/item/SSR-750FX.html mmh in new egg the seasonic cost less money
is it a bad idea to get a 10900k just bc of the vision g motherboard instead of ryzen?
like intel also has new cpu's coming out that will also be lga 1200 so
Yes @raw mist
Are you on AMD or Intel though? @raw mist You would get more of a boost from that on an AMD CPU if anything
If you are on Intel you will have a difference but not as much as a jump as an AMD
@cold jewel yeah ill be getting a ryzen 5 3600
how much better performance do u think id get?
yo guys whats your thoughts on the Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 8 GB GAMING 8G Video Card?
@raw mist im pretty sure thats like 10 ish fps increasde but i might be wrong
@obsidian dove why a 580
im looking at budget gpus and i was told it was great for the price
just get an rx5000 card
@still bay
Price?
i need something around the $200 price point. Im building my first pc and kinda on a budget lol @gleaming quartz
cl18 lol
So what exactly do I get when I buy this and is this what I need to get in order to get windows? (First build)
@proven goblet no
u got 2 options
1 is plug a usb into a laptop or pc and download windows onto it the nplug the usb into ur new pc
or buy a usb with windows already on it
if u dont have a spare pc or laptop
theres a free version of windows
U can get one off eBay for 2$
i was told to go with the Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 8 GB GAMING 8G Video Card or sus GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB TUF GAMING OC Video Card and they said amd was the better choice @gleaming quartz
u can also get windows keys for like 10 bucks
Don’t get scammed 100$
What’s the most secure way to get one?
Lmao it doesn’t matter
Because I’m not tryna get scammed on eBay either
get the amd one since its better bang for your buck imo
In the end you always get a windows key
the rx 570 was also my first gpu card lol
Multiple techies here have done it and been fine
YES
Ok thx
why?
order from ebay
Lol cool cool but you def think its the best deal for my first gpu?
I'm not sure exactly how much better performance you'd get, but it will most likely be pretty noticeable.
Nah
What’s ur budget
yeah it runs vr just fine and my 570 runs assasins creed valhalla at 50 fps
for gpu or total?
Gpu
around $200
And currency
USD
Also what do yall think of the ryzen 3 3100 vs 3300 x? just curious.
why ryzen 3?
wdym?
maybe he doesn't want all these cores
ryzen 5
Im building a $500-600 build.
ILMAO
You know nothing buddy
i mean am i wrong?
3300x better
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RJBVwz heres my list pls ignor the case lol
yeah what i thought
You can get a 100+FPS on warzone with a ryzen 3 3100 and 1660s
what games do u play
a random guy thats the stupidest thing ever
and is the pc only for games
fr?
ryzen 3 can run games lol
Yes lmfao
i meant to say AAA games and stuff
I play Ark, Rocket League and possibly No mans sky and No im a graphic designer this will be mainly used for work.
not like undertale or whatever
Still ryzen 3 is just fine in this day and age
Reason: Bad word usage
...
Change out the storage
Get like a crucial p1 ssd
Good cheap ssd
I already have a 500gb harddrive i own
Ohhh
3600 MHz 8.88ns(cl16) 3200 MHz 10.00ns(cl16) that is the difference in speed but the thing is with AMD you want to run high memory clock with low latency to get the most out of the CPU. @raw mist So I'd say it is worth going to 3600 MHz at cl16 if you have the money. If not it really isn't an issue though.
thats why i chose that
Then yeah get a NVMe
Get a 500gb NVME M.2
@obsidian dove if you’re going to upgrade later on upgrade that motherboard
America..Explain
Ik ik my budget is so tight tho xD
Its not going to support newer chips
oh rly?
Yea
U said u have 600$
Not necessarily
It depends if a bios update comes out
For a b450
A 450 cant support the 5000 series
About yeah and i would like that to include a monitor or close to that.
🗿
But if there’s a bios update?
they will
Maybe but just upgrade it now so you dont need to spend double the amount later
b450 will be given updates by manufacturers
Alr alr
asrock for example
So whts your sugestions?
Get ddr4-3600
im so lost rn xD (first build)
3600 overkill gor the budget
Yup
Whats his budget
stop with overkills
?
Bruh
about 600
🗿
Jesus erina
^^^
whts wrong with cl 18
Slow
CL18 is higher latency
instead? of what?
CL16 is about the normal that people use
oooo 20% inc perhaps
3200cl16 is better than 3600cl18
^
Try to get a 1650 or something
i dont think its that big of a performance bump
Although it seems deceiving, in the long run it would be faster
but sure tighter timings fine within budget
Ok im so confused lol just dm me i guess 😄 lol
You can buy 3200 MHz CL16 and you can technically make it hit 3600 perfectly depending on what die it has.
Yeah overclock it possibly
But 3200 at CL16 is perfectly fine
3200C14: 8.75ns
3600C15: 8.33ns
3600C16: 8.88ns
3466C16: 9.23ns
3733C17: 9.11ns```
Lower cl is more expensive
Indeed
when u say cl 18 is slower ur making it seem that ur missing on so much yet messured in ns
It is slower tho
I mean it does affect performance but it isn't going to kill you.
Plus
If you want the most out of your CPU you are going to usually want CL16 at 3600MHz
You can overclock the 3200mhz c16
Yup
To possibly 3600mhz idk
Hey. Quick question. For an X570 motherboard which is better: two 2x16GB RAM kits or a single 4x16GB RAM kit?
4x 16 is 64
2x16 is 32
u know wht he meant
I’d get the 4x16
as in 2 sticks or 4 stick config
Yes but if you get two of the 32GB kits it’s cheaper and you still get 4 sticks.
Oh 4
I'd be better to run in 4 stick configuration
^
32gb ram is enough
bro its not like its quad channel but if u saving a buck then sure
64 way overkill
I was looking at the Corsair RGB Pro. With the promo code it’s $130 per 32 GB kit ($260 total). But they want almost $600 for a 4x16 kit. Is the extra $300 even worth it? Lol
If u have the option and money, quad channel > dual
nope
Dual channel is fine enough for the $300 you save.
Not worth extra 300$
Corsair rgb pro is large so if you’re running a small case be careful
I have an x570 motherboard coming in the mail. As far as I know, it’s only dual channel.
I can’t fit top mounted rad because of ram
Just buy 2 kits
Also watch the CPU cooler depending on what you plan on getting
How many dimm slots
bro he won't run quad channel if he has a regular ryzen cpu
maybe a threadripper then sure
It’s just 4 slots.
Then do quad
so two sticks is finw
He can tho
Why wouldn't he be able to run quad?
Quad channel ram is always better if u have the money
Yup
not all chips run quad channel..as far as i know only high end processors
Not all of them support it actually
again not all mobo that have 4 slots is quad channel its dual channels across pairs
dont mislead
You can use 4 sticks but it will only run dual channel
chip and mobo has to be both capavle
Depending on the CPU
capable
Yup
What’s your cpu Isaiah
nit all ryzen chips do quad channel
The price difference is huge. You can get two dual channel kits for under $300 but a single quad channel kit is almost $600. Is the performance worth double the price?
What CPU?
rowspresso need more espresso
I really want to get 5950X whenever the heck those become available. But I need a PC in the interim so I’m going to use a 3700X temporarily.
Hahahhahaha so funny good one bro
yea 3700x doesnt
Pretty sure 5000 series supports quad ram
3000 doesn’t
Well neither of them use quad channel
Reason: Bad word usage
In terms of gaming, would you even see a difference in frames per second when using a quad channel kit over two dual channel kits?
isiah go for 32 total 2 sticks
Not if you aren't able to run quad channel no
to kewp it short
And either way memory doesn't really effect FPS directly
In terms of gaming, would you even see a difference in frames per second when using a quad channel kit over two dual channel kits?
@tall isle no
As long as you have even amount of sticks ur good
Doesnt make much of a difference
You can get dual channel dual populated ram, only threadripper supports quad
^
Thanks everyone. I appreciate the feedback. I think I’ll just grab two dual channel kits. A quad channel kit doesn’t make sense for me since the motherboard doesn’t even support quad channel.
@tall isle
rowspresso i have clarified that too but u didnt consider
ddr4, right?
I’m not talking to you right now
The CPU wouldn't support it either. You can still run it but it won't effect performance at all since it will still run in dual @tall isle
(assuming you have 4 slots)
What cases do you guys recommend? Has anyone used the NZXT H710i?
Oh god don’t get a NZXT case
Terrible airflow
What’s a good case?
Td500 mesh
anything with more mesh and dust filtera
Anything that has mesh or airflow in it is generally good
most corsair cases are really good with dust filtering
Just don’t get some weird chinese knock off brand
true
How do you guys feel about all in one liquid coolers? Or are air coolers the way to go?
Depends
lemme get my manuals i forgot the name of my case lol
Do you like the look of AIO?
Air coolers are for the most part better performance.
But AIOs are mainly for looks and help if you want to upgrade the stock one since they are a little better than stock.
I would prefer to use an AIO so it doesn’t block high profile RGB RAM. Lol
I don’t plan to do it much.
I'd say you'd be perfectly fine using an AIO if you like it then
What’s a good AIO? Does Corsair make good ones?
@tall isle this is the case i have: its very budget, has decent airflow, and has great dust filtering https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-carbide-series-spec-delta-rgb-tempered-glass-mid-tower-atx-gaming-case-black-black/6323389.p?skuId=6323389&ref=212&loc=1&ref=212&loc=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9JieyPyY7QIVGI-GCh3PFA5NEAQYAyABEgIZo_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Looks nice. Good cable management?
yeah
Yup it has plenty in the back
lots of potential with the back shield
and it has a very nice fiberglass window on the left of it
What do you guys think of the Nvidia 3000 series vs the new AMD cards? I know neither are available because of scalpers, but what you upgrade to if you could?
im an amd person soooo... 😈
I'm AMD currently (Radeon VII) but I just got my 3090 FTW3 a day ago.
But I'd say it is honestly up to what you want. I would recommend Nvidia if you want less hassle.
Since AMD sometimes has wonky drivers.
true
Oh damn. How is the 3090 in a game like Call of Duty if you were playing on a 165 Hz monitor at 1440p? Would it just make it out at 165 FPS? Lol
Assuming that you have a good CPU as well maybe yeah.
Even if it ran at around 140 FPS it would still be crazy good.
(this is assuming you have all settings maxed)
How did you even get your hands on a 3090? Did you just get it when it launched?
So basically I am friends with someone that recently bought the 3090 FTW3. His girlfriend is the one that encountered the package on the door step and you can probably guess what she made him do.
Ahah
they are very select few on amazon for an insane price too
He called me up in panic asking if I wanted to buy it from him and it wasn't opened at all so I was like hell yeah.
for cheaper?
I still have dual 1080 Ti’s running in SLI from my last PC build. Should I just keep running them until the next generation or should I try to upgrade when video cards become available in the next few months (hopefully)?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KGntCz can u guys look over a build I’m thinking about? I think the parts I picked are pretty good for an entry level pc
I'd upgrade tbh since running in SLI for gaming doesn't really help gaming performance. If you are fine with the frame rates that you have now though you can just re use them. Some articles show running in SLI actually hurts gaming performance.
Yeah. I want to use a single card going forward. But those damn scalpers....
Yup ahah
Not to mention running SLI is just a not needed power drain. That is if you don't do creation work all the time.
What's a good Ryzen pc that costs around $850-$900
Hey all this is what im currently running:
Right now im running intel core i7 4770
12gb ram
2 tb hdd
Nvidia geforce gtx 645
Just purchased a corsair cx650m, from doing this I can upgrade my graphics card correct? Would I have to add anything else?
If I'm running the i3-10100 and rx580 do I absolutely need case fans?
Well yeah they’re better
U don’t want poopy airflow
To what gpu
@violet harness are there any budget fans I should look into
Be quiet
ok
Makes fans that are like 15$ Canadian
From what ive researched myself (very new to this world of gaming) id like to get a 2060 super. Would that be fine for gaming?
Not telling you to be quiet, the brand “be quiet!” Makes good fans for 15$ Canadian
lol yeah ik
thanks
I have a case with decent airflow (mesh front as well), are the fans still needed @violet harness
How many fans does the case come with
is Canada Computers a good site to buy off of?
@violet harness none

jeez
What case u have
I'll link it
K thx
I would get 3 intake 1 exhaust
Don’t know
@violet harness
thanks dude, I forgot about be quiet! Last time I looked at their fans they were like $30 each due to being re-sold on Amazon. Got 2 140s and a 120 on my build now instead of the Arctic P12s. Way better fans now and cheaper too
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mashupmixpro/saved/
which is my best pc build? my budget is $1300
waiting for Canada computers black Friday sales 👀
man
I really hope they have good deals this year
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LKfvRT is this a pretty decent first build?
that's decent
you could probably buy cheaper ram without rgb but if you want rgb, you want rgb
that power supply though
not good?
never heard of PowerSpec so it seems pretty eh
it’s at my micro center store so i thought it was at least decent
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KGntCz is this build ok?
What is the name of the RGB cable extension in your pc? @south ermine
@night iron lian li strimer
reputable stores can still sell bad products
I doubt it's a bomb or anything though
before I start buying parts for my first pc, should I buy windows? or is it just better for me to install it unactivated.
upon google inspection methods, PowerSpec is only sold at microcenter lol
@kindred iris install it unactivated and buy a cheap code when you have money for it
i think it’s a micro center in-house product
ah
yeah it is
can you give me a website for a cheap code?
Thanks @severe axle
you can use windows without a key but you can't customize and there is a fat watermark
should i get the Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard or the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard
600 dollar build for 1080p gaming games like valorant cs, and cod
ping me if u make one
@little osprey give me 2 mins
should i get the Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard or the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard
how many wats do u need for a 2700x ans a 5600xt?
k
I'd say >= 500
@cursive haven about 550 or 600
k imma just get a 550
should i get an rtx 2070 super or an rx 5700?
Let me benchmark them
or should i just wait for the rx 6800?
Brb
Id say the rtx 2070 super
But you can ask other people to make sure
If you’re willing to wait
alright thanks
found out that powerspec is just a rebrand of a high power psu
🗿
should i get the Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard or the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard
or even the gigabyte b550 vision d?
hey guys im back lol
do you guys have any cheap and good memory suggestions? rn im looking at the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
@obsidian dove you’re budget is 600 right?
Yep
Does anyone have any cheap and good motherboard options with wifi for the ryzen 5 6000
3200 is good for a 600 dollar build
this is my part list rn https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
budget is like 110
Bruh
for the mb
Oh
LOL
Dont get a motherboard because it has wifi and Bluetooth 🧀
But i can find one if you want
But i need wifi .-.
nice
I dont really know how to choose motherboards
b450 is also an option, if you're going lower end
might not support 3600 out of box though
Have you guys ever preorder from a site called shopBLT?
never heard of it
hmmm cuz im looking at the ryzen 3 3300x for a cpu and they are doing preorders but not sure if its legit
should i just go with the 3100 then?
Either uh get the 3100 or see if you can get a 2600 for the same price
3100 drops a bit of performance but it is a good budget option ngl
Is there much of a difference with a micro atx
https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B07B41WS48 its on sale! xD 3100 is still cheaper @marsh fulcrum
I found a Ryzen 5 3600 for $450 LOL
Prices are going up
Yeah I figured, it kind of retained or went up in price rather
I got mine for $150 last year in the summer
This is my build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hJbJnL
I'm hoping the 3600 goes on sale for black friday
Has anyone bought parts from Adorama?
I bought the 3100 when it was $119
I knew the prices were going up so i went and bought it before they did
No but I did buy a 1080 p monitor with 144 hz and a curved screen for 140
Link?
does amd have a cpu that competes with the i5-10400F around the same price?
Idk
It’s on Amazon from the company AOC I think
I dont really like intel
It’s cheaper for 20 less on Office Depot
I would say the 3600, but getting one now uh seems a bit shaky
Does anyone buy stuff from adorama?
@obsidian dove if its cheaper there then yea
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DVNGkX
any suggestions?
Ryzen 3 3100 3.6GHz 4-Core AM4 Processor
prob
It's on backorder
yeah i see ;l
@spiral current upgrade the ram
So you can order it now, but you'll have to wait until they actually have it ship
Change it from 3200 to 3600
its better than paying 161 on amazon rn'
is there that big of a difference?
You shouldnt cheap out on the gpu if you’re going for a 1000 dollar build
ah
what would you suggest i get then?
because my monitor isnt too good
1920 x 1080
Yeah the 570 seemed like a weird outlier with everything else
the only thing I don't like about intel is the limited overclocking, lack of future upgradeability and limited ram speeds.
which is a lot
lol yeah
- I'd have to buy a aftermarket cooler because stock cooler isn't decent enough
oof
but performance wise the i5-10400F is good for the price, so I'm still considering it
it's only like 200CAD and considering the 3600 saw a price hitch, it's the only option really for the price range
What's lame about the locked i5s is on the boards that don't support RAM overclocking (Everything other than Z) it limits them to 2666Mhz
🗿
oof
And that's more detrimental than you might think for the performance
yeah I know but the price is doing the sweet talking her
Well honestly, the K skus are way overpriced anyway
if the ryzen 5 3600 sees a price drop, I'll buy it
