Is that true?
What is the normal price?
1200
Oh that’s terrible
Ya the one I linked is 890
Xtx is 300 cheaper and barely worse
Might buy that
Ya
Jonsplus z20 also comes to mind
Who knows something better value might come out
In 2 months? Yeah everything will be different
A lot of this list won't apply by then
Sama a good brand?
Lian li on steroids?
They are responsible for like half of the chinese sff case market lmao
I went on Jawa.gg and I searched a build and it was 200 more than if u just built it yourself
Sama is big
- Jawa has no rep so it would be better to build tbh
The case I linked is a lian li 205m mesh, a micro center exclusive
$200 isn't the worst I've seen as far as build time cost and markup
But it's sold by sama, the oem
They charge shipping as well but yea not the worst
But yeah jawa was kinda sketch when I looked before
Sama also made the lian li 185m
Galax rev. 05
Some of their cases are resold by tons of brands or altered slightly and sold as a clone
They're a good brand, I normally only really hear good things about them
I’m going to be playing 5m and lspdfr daily
Can someone make me a plain black build for like $1400?
No
@mossy venture would you kindly
whats a good mid tier cpu rn? is a 3700x good for mid tier 1080p/1440p gaming?
7500f
Bro that exists
Or @cyan ravine could you?
Not atm no sorry
Is okay
i cant find the 7500f anywhere
Aliexpress is the only way to get them in the usa
That's barely any more than a 7500f
Or you could do 5500 or 5600+ a520m tuf wifi ii
3700x works there too
But all 3 of those are pushing it for 1440p nowadays
Okay im fine with 1080p im just gonna be using 24 inch most likely
I always forget that it's not this you're talking about https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/97123/intel-core-i57500-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-80-ghz/specifications.html
Intel® Core™ i5-7500 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz) quick reference with specifications, features, and technologies.
yeah thats what i thought of at first
Why can't we have more original names
i thought the f for sure indicated intel
AND NOT FREAKING CORE ULTRA BS
AMD stole it
how does one go about buying an authentic 7500f on aliexpress 💀
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
@potent portal look decent?
At work
That's ok, can fit 7900 gre in for sure tho
any gpu launches coming up this year?
5080 and 5090 are expected to paper launch in Q4
Most of the chips are going to AI products, so until AI demand goes down there won't be many high end cards to go around.
Im debating just getting the rest of the hardware now and waiting to get a gpu cause i still need a new desktop for school
- i have a 560 i can throw in there while I wait
Honestly I'd just get what's available for GPUs now
What I've heard about next gen is underwhelming from Nvidia, haven't heard much about AMD tho
what should I roll with for 1080p? I had a 6600 during covid but the drivers were really buggy
I was getting artifacts in games and sometimes everything would have a green tint to it (performed multiple clean installs of windows + ran DDU)
Sounds more like a bad GPU than bad drivers
That could be true, which is why I'm not 100% opposed to it but hopefully theres better options for 1080p 3 years later
Got any suggestions for $250-300? I saw the 7600xt was about $300
It's just a 7600 with more memory
Thank you, was just looking up the difference 😅
I thought they weren't doing any other SKU but 5090?
Maybe I misheard something
5080 rumors are plentiful
Hard to tell who's right
It would make sense though since they are doing 2 AI SKUs
Hard ti believe they'd do that now
I see what you did there
:(

Looking forward to battlemage.. even if it's not looking good rn
Wait what rommy is back
Shortly
I tried to use the 1T drive, BIOS doesn’t recognize it as a bootable drive so idk what to do
So are you launching from bios on the drive
What are you using to make the installer
My old computer
Ye what program tho
Just loading the installation media onto the drive and then plugging it into my new one
What is the program you're using to make the windows 11 happen on the usb
There's multiple methods to do this
Just copying files to the USB won't do anything
You need a program to extract it and create boot files
Just going to the windows website and clicking download the installation media
Ok so the windows tool
Yeah
It should work
I saw it in a yt video so I did it
How are you accessing the usb to install on the new pc
Did you run the program or just copy it
Haha
I’ll reinstall windows onto the new computer
You'd be amazed how many times this has happened lol
And hopefully that’ll fix it
See this is why he's a techie yo
I ran it the first time I did this before it stopped working, but I forgot the second time
Got that 3rd level of thinking
Ok lets try this again, I’ll update you guys if reinstalling windows fixes the issue
Hopefully it does and I don’t have to go through this headache anymore
Still have no clue why installing razer synapse broke my windows
My favorite is when I ask this question and they come back 20 minutes later, "it's working now"
Does the most insane things sometimes
It's usually not bad
But I would try to not use it much or uninstall when done if you can
Had it on my old computer for a year and not one single issue or complaint
The second I install on my new computer, everything breaks
It be like that sometimes
Windows can be really strange
I've had installs nuked by Bluetooth drivers and audio drivers
Realtek is incredibly proficient at this
Does it work again when you reinstall windows?
Usually
What happens if it doesn’t
The normal situation is it works yes
Realtek Bluetooth especially yes. I've had to run the installer 6 times before it showed a BT device.
How many computers do you guys think you’ve built
Oh and I've had an ethernet driver downloaded from windows update decide I wasn't going to be getting any more data for a while
Define this
Does this include the same pc
Or unique pc's
Same pc counts but only if you replaced most of the parts
I'm on the PC of Theseus at this point. I still have my original 1TB HDD from the prebuilt I traded a buddy for my PS3 in college.
I have a pc of theseus too
Hmmmm
I've counted more than my fingers so far
Just on my own pc's
Do you build them for other people too?
Ok so counting platform changes and case swaps, I think I'm in the hundreds.
Part of my original job where I'm at now was building workstations for everyone.
That was 80 of the same PC built over and over but still
Ye
I was just a temp at that point but I did a good job so they offered part time work
Now I'm the one that decides if we need to hire a temp
(spoiler, the answer is usually no)
How did you get into computers
Esports
Funny story for me. When I was in 5th grade one of the older students came into all the classes and ran disk defragmenter on all the PCs. This was Windows XP so it had a nice visual of the blocks moving around. I got curious what was going on, asked a few questions about it, and here I am.
Wow
So if, for example, you were absent that day, you wouldn’t have ever gotten into computers
By the time I was 12 I was already swapping parts from my hand-me-down Windows 98 PC, including the CPU
Crazy how life works out
Yeah crazy how serendipity works
Ok I got the flash ready, fingers crossed
BIOS recognizes it as a bootable drive, that’s a good sign
OMG I THINK IT WORKED
I wish I'd kept that PC. I hated it so much because BIOS was trash at the time and couldn't auto detect certain size HDDs (it would have a seizure if it saw a modern 1TB drive, it was happy with 40GB) but dang I kinda wish I could play some of those old games without PCem.
MY COMPUTER IS SAVED
any suggestions for a cpu that is the fastest at compiling? (mainly c++). Thanks
Compiling C++ can use lots of threads if you enable it, so the 7950X will be the best at that.
7950x
ok thanks
14900k loses in multi thanks to the new fix to some cpus dying
Compiling on a low thread count cpu is an absolute nightmare
Yeah I'd hate for you to get a 14900K only for it to crash at stock settings, then you update the bios to fix it and the performance is horrible
sounds good thanks
The joy im getting from seeing this screen
I wanna be techie but I got no 3rd level thinking lol
I'm a little slow
But I try
There's a level of intuition that lets you fix things quickly. As long as you get it fixed eventually, even if you have to google every step, you'd be there in no time.
Just evolve brain ez
I'm slow but I eventually get there
And there's far too many times where I wiped all drives I have to install windows
My monkey brain went "bigger drive must be boot, must wipe"
And learning from that experience will lead you to guide others by saying "unplug all drives except the one you're installing to"

Then once I realize it
It was too late
I had wiped the big games/tools/drivers drive
Still trying to figure out why very rarely I get no video when starting up my pc. Super rare, open the pc no video. Turn off the pc. Remove the Power cable and the Display Port and it comes back normally.
4060 ti, Ryzen 7 7800 x3d, 850 Watt be quiet! A+ PSU, DDR5, B650+ Pro Mini ATX
No loose cables, wattage is good, pc not overheating. Both CPU and GPU 30 C, no issue with power, PC starts normally fans spin, no video. No loose cables, parts are very new, pc built a couple months ago
Once every month occurrence
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
What is shorting?
What part?
I have these not plugged in only but I don’t think it matters since I never give them power
Also why is it once every month
Doesn’t make sense
I ain’t going to do all that, took me a couple days just to make sure all wiring is correct and make sure it’s clean
I think it’s just the GPU
Mayhaps
Might be the gpu itself then
When you load up a game, it freezes for a couple seconds, fans sometimes don’t spin at all,
And it’s bottlenecked
Thanks for the info
Officially got into windows, thank you to everyone that helped me
Hi can you help me with something?
what is it
How can you tell if something is a scam on eBay like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/375420395428
That's a bid
But if you're not sure
Look up the pics on google
See if anything matches up
Oki
But generally I'd avoid sellers with zero ratings
Alright also I looked and they are original pictures
The bids are probably gonna go too high to be worth the hassle tho
Like matching or going above the price of new ones off amazon, etc
You will probably never have a bid that's worth it
Amazon does bids now?
My brain made me type amazon
Besos on the brain
lol
Jeffery 🅱️esos
I think I’d go 330 at most for the bid
There are 2 people fighting for top bid lol
Hello everyone!! I was wondering if someone could help me, I’m building a pc but I’m having issues. After I got all the hardware connected it wouldn’t start, I don’t see any lights on on the MB or any led fan nor the memory cards. The only thing that lit up was the power button on the case. Please could someone help? I’ve changed the psu just in case and still nothing…
Did you connect your mb to the power supply or follow tutoriel to connect your hardware on mb ??
Yes I did
Is your cpu compatible with mb ?
Yes i7
MB is MSI b760 Gaming plus WiFi
Look on msi website on mb for sound
Is it making some noise. You can find your information on it.
No it’s not doing anything at all. No light, no sound nothing
What is the capacity of your power supply ??
Maybe it’s not enough
Or too much
First I had 500 and then I got 650 still nothing
@cursive wharf might be able to help
I can help, but I need pics
You might have to wait for like 5 mins
Mem training on ddr5 can take some time
@final remnant Sorry for the double ping. What's your cpu model?
700 series boards came out during 13th gen
If you bought a 14th gen, like 14700k
Then you'll need to update bios
Either by booting with an lga 1700 cpu from last generation
Or using flashback if the board supports it
Hm
DM a pic of your pc to me
And what it's doing
Looks nice
mega expensive as well
Yea :c
getting pc parts this week🙂
That’s cool I have to get mine little by little
like buying each part over time?
I’m going to try getting a few things each week it’s just I don’t have a lot of money but a lot of sales are happening
what have u gotten so far
Umm
We don’t talk about it but nothing
After school I was going to buy a cpu
really just depends on what your plan is
if you want to upgrade the entire pc little by little then i don't think it's all that good of an idea
Chat anyone know how to fix it
?ddu
DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Guide by Pato
https://github.com/NeweggTechie/Graphics-cards/wiki/How-to-use-DDU
Didn’t work
You can try reducing the memory clock speed on the GPU using MSI Afterburner, and then refresh the desktop. If that works then you likely have a bad memory chip on the GPU.
Is it similar for any wallpaper you set?
Alr
I've tried each ram stick neither are the problem
What gpu is it and how old is it
Also try a different display cable
And try a diff port on the gpu and or monitor
About 2 years old
That’s how old the laptop is
It is always high
Is there a way to fixed a damaged gpu?
how high is high
Every time my computer restarts, windows breaks again and I have to reinstall it, so basically everything is still broken
what is happening when it restarts
what ram, cpu, mobo, psu, and gpu do you have
I manually restart it
It’s
T force delta rgb DDR5 32gb 6000MHz
5 7600X
B650 Aorus elite AX ice
Seasonic focus GX 750 80+ gold
Asus RTX 4070 super
That’s all
what ssd
yo
does newegg automatically place the rebate for u in your order or do you have to do that yourself
mail in rebates you have to do on your own
Team group MP44L 1T
how
Something is faulty
Ram, cpu, ssd
One of 3
How do I figure out which one is faulty
Download occt if you can on it and run a ram test
Then a cpu small test
The ui is intuitive enough that you shouldn't need more specifics
So I need to install windows again…
For like the fourth time
I mean
Your alternative is a 3 hour test instead of a 30 minute task
And then testing the cpu is still involving installing windows after that anyway
It’ll take a while to install windows but ok I’ll start now
There's no way around this
I'm not going to be around today but once you're in occt it should be simple enough
So I just search for occt in a browser and install it
So I send it back and get a replacement?
Mhm
And if there’s no error with the test, it’s the ssd that’s the issue?
No error with either? With the stability issues you're having? Yes, I would suspect the ssd
You can check the health of it with crystaldiskinfo (any version)
If it's blue it's goo
If it's red it's dead
I have a feeling it’s the ram if that’s an option
4th possibility would be maybe the cpu isn't sitting right in the socket, or the motherboard/psu has a serious issue
But you would notice things get worse and worse with psu usually
As parts become more and more inoperable
you make sure ram is fully seated?
Well I’ve had this computer for two days
Long enough time to notice it get worse
BIOS didn’t recognize the ram on two occasions
So
I turned the pc off and reseated the ram
That is indeed sus
And it worked
And
And it happened again?
Yes it happened twice
you tried resetting cmos and updating bios at all?
or could be cpu too technichally
Do the ram test, if it fails, swap the sticks around in the slots
Sometimes when the computer turns on, the DRAM light on the mobo flickers for a sec
Ok got it
could even be paste in the socket stopping full contact
Very very small chance but yes lol
My money is on a slot rn
Anyway good luck
The slot or the stick
Ok
I’m on the occt thing
For the cpu
Is normal load, variable ok?
And then the rest at auto
@cyan ravine
Or should I just do cpu + ram
At the same time
I have an amd Ryzen 3900x, Asus strix b550-i, silicon power 2x16GB 3600mhz ram. What am5 upgrade do y'all recommend?
Must be itx, have wifi, and 2 m.2 slots
just gaming?
7800x3d, a620i lightning wifi or b650 lightning wifi, 2x16 6000c30
is a gpu support bracket necessary for a 7900gre?
No errors from cpu or ram
Testing the ssd now
Crystal disk info says the ssd is good
So what now
If those three are all fine
Separate
Oh I did them together, ok I’ll do them separate in a bit and hopefully I’ll get an error so I know what to fix
Keep trying different ram slots
It’s an ssd tester, I can’t control the background
Even if there’s no error?
Mhm
I like it how does it test the ssd?
Various metrics, basically just tells you if there’s an issue with it, and how well it’s running based on what it should be
Oh ok it’s just I’m new to all this I don’t know anything basically
I bought my first computer part today
It’s fine I’m new too
I just finished my build a few days ago and there’s an issue with windows I’ve been trying to fix
Oh hope you get it fixed
Nice
Honestly I’m scared to set it up after building it
It shouldn’t be an issue if your parts are good
It’s not that
But one of mine is screwed up probably
It’s just I have no clue what to do I am going to be lost
I just gotta figure out which
I can help you
If you want
:D
It’s actually very simple
It’s just I’m not going to be able to get a few other parts for a bit
You just need an 8+ gb usb drive and another working computer/laptop
I got that
If you remember, when you get everything you can ping me and I’ll help you
Then you’ll be fine
Oki I will
Back to the app you used it looks complicated
Not sure but I’m getting that gpu when I finish my computer
Is it a Radeon card
yes
Shouldn’t need it but a support bracket is always nice for peace of mind
gotchu
Depends on the model too, a couple GRE models use the same cooler as the XTX
And the integrated rigidity into the design
I would say you're approaching the point it's worth considering with that card
@cyan ravine
I’m getting a 7800 xt instead of a 7900 Xtx bc it’s way cheaper so I can make some stuff look aesthetic
Yk any good rgb cases with good airflow?
i’ll probably buy it sometime later down the line then
also im getting the gigabyte gaming oc one
G360a
Sama ARGB-Q5 is a Lian Li 205M but sold by the original OEM
Thoughts on nzxt h6 flow?
Hard pass
Damn what’s wrong with it
There's always a better alternative to NZXT

I have an h6 I liked the aesthetic…
Not the best but still good
Don’t get it if you want pure temp performance
What is a good one for that?
One of the ones the others already mentioned
You should only get an h6 flow if you want the aesthetic
^^
Terrible lol
They have blockage issues and MSI never fully addressed it
Thermalright aios >>>>>>>
Frozen edge is king
True
Liquid Freezer III? Good
Alrighty
Raw perf Frozen edge is plain better
Very good for AMD because offset mount
They're comparable on AMD yes
LF2 gets you 4 degrees just switching between offset and non offset
Would that mean it’s better for me or still thermalright
About the same, arctic is a little quieter
It’s rgb but honestly I don’t mind
You don't have to plug it in
Problem is tho they only have the 240 mm version
360 is idk where
It just says unavailable
Frozen notte is comparable
Discontinued or something
Don’t mind that
Aqua Elite V3 also comparable
@cyan ravine Ik I ask u this like 30x a day but w/l build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sXxqn6
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Phanteks XT PRO ATX Mid Tower
Btw I hope yk your feedback is helping me learn more about pc builds
Change board, change cpu
Don't need 360 aio for a 6 core
240 is fine, top mount it if you must have an aio
Alr
Why change cpu?
Or were u saying cooler
Bc I think the gpu and cpu are a nasty combo rn
if you must have tforce deltas get the cheapest version then crank the frequency manually, results are identical and it takes 10 seconds
Alr
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks XT PRO ATX Mid Tower
Should really have a single tower for this chip but if you want an aio, ok
Why did u add xtx
It’s just xt
Btw is 7600 and 7600x same peforemence or barely different
@cyan ravine
7600 is 100MHz lower out of the box but you can just enable PBO and poof, it's 100MHz above the 7600X
Oh that’s cool
Effectively no difference
Save like 20$ for free
7600 includes a cooler too that's actually good enough
But adding an aio on top of that is fine right
If you like the looks sure
It'll be dead quiet too with it being so overkill
It’s 50$
That’s good
My pc currently sounds like a jet in ww2
While it’s running some games
It fit in the budget even with the changes so I figured you'd still want it
It'll run under load at like 60-70C lol
I mean it does fit don’t mind it but just curious George here
It's overkill
Somehow my cousins pc runs 19c with nothing open
Is that normal or what?
Bc my pc currently does not do that
If you want to make it dead quiet, add a 5 pack of p12 max
That's normal if you live in like 10C weather
How much is that?
$35
Will it fit with XTX
if not the pulse 7900 XT is solidly quiet
Boop
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Phanteks XT PRO ATX Mid Tower
Anyway ima dip in a bit
About 16%
Bc it is like 200$ cheaper
It's 1/6 of the die missing
You could consider 7800x3d, that would be as big of an upgrade for almost the same
20 and 24
Isn’t that overkill for the gpu tho
That’s why I downgraded
Oh
The typical gaming PC opts for high gpu utility and no graphic bottlenecks
But depending on the game, that can do a 180
Play FPS esports? You want a fast af cpu and the gpu is a meh 2nd choice
I play fps games mostly yea
Overall, having full GPU usage is preferred, and a 7600 and a 7800X3D both can achieve this
Like Fortnite rainbow six siege call of duty etc
So a better gpu would be better or a better cpu
The API doesn't call for the whole range of bandwidth from a GPU, so you end up cpu bound
So a better cpu in this situation would be even better than a nicer GPU
Say, 7800X3D and 7900XT, or 7800X3D and 7900 GRE, or even 7800XT
The only accurate answer to this is... it depends
A lot of fps gamers will also tell you about latency on top, so in these situations, they will debrief you on things like nvidia reflex, and intel's generally better 1% and 0.1% lows
Yo it’s only 1580
That’s perfect for my budget
When I added the 7800/3d and lowered the gpu to 7900 xt
There's a whole gamut of this stuff, and if you can fit it in budget, go for an oled display
forgot the p12 fans
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Phanteks XT PRO ATX Mid Tower
Oled screens are equal to like a whole 2 or 3 gpu upgrades
fast IPS with ulmb2 gets only to about 2ms
Oled
KTC has the 240hz 1440p oled on amazon for 630 after coupons
Big difference
Might sell my monitor I have rn
And get that instead
a 240hz oled is equivalent to like any other display at 540hz+
Which one is it
240 hz can overclock to 280
I have no idea
Sounds familiar
Adjustable stand
is it 24" or 27"
I gotta fix this laptop and sell it as well
That's fake marketing times btw. It probably does that only on an unusable overdrive setting in one specific gray to gray transition.
24
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/w4mFf7/asus-tuf-gaming-vg259qm-245-1920x1080-280-hz-monitor-vg259qm
Oh
Yeah any of the gpus we're talking about are stupid overkill for this screen
Oh it’s lower
more than fine with a 7700XT or 6700XT
OLED doesn't need overdrive settings, it's just naturally that fast. Worst transitions are like 0.4ms
I can sell for 200 probably nothing wrong with it
The oled I suggested would work beautifully tho with the GPU's were talking about tho
I always keep it clean
Anyway I really gotta go. I'm gonna post the link to the oled and jet
Introducing the KTC G27P6 OLED Gaming Monitor - the ultimate display for gamers, designers, and office workers who demand the highest level of performance and quality. With a sleek and modern design, this 27 inch OLED monitor boasts a stunning 240Hz 1440p resolution, offering crystal clear visual...

That's up to you I'd say
It depends on what you're playing
esports mostly then
Yea
Yeah OLED will be a game changer for those
Every now and than I’ll play something else
Like Felix said getting one will be like 3 gpu upgrades
Compared to the monitor I have now
A bit of an exaggeration but yeah it can feel like that with the near instant latency
Is it like ping latency or like delay latency?
click to photon latency
So your clicks register faster?
No but you see them faster
The screen displays faster so you can react faster
It can feel like improved click speed because that's part of the total system latency, click to photon
Every component adds a little bit to that total
If you're not afraid of a little simple overclocking you can do the 7900 GRE
Nothing fancy, just moving a slider
Otherwise if you don't want to mess with that, the 7900 XT
I’ve never heard of gre
It used to be China only but got a global launch recently
It's nearly as good as the 7900 XT, but the memory speed is reduced. Luckily it uses the same memory so you can just overclock it, so it matches the 7900 XT for cheaper.
I mean it reduced the cost a little bit
But idk if it’s gonna help with the oled
Like it went from 1520 to 1460
Or are u just recommending the card in general
Like even if I don’t get oled
Going from the XTX to the GRE? The GRE is nearly $400 cheaper
The GRE is also $160 cheaper than the XT
$530 after coupon
Found it
But uh including the monitor it makes the setup 2k
I mean if I sell my monitor
1.8
Not bad
If I don’t get oled for now should I still keep the gre or no
You can get the GRE now and hold on to some of that money for a better sale on OLED
New models are coming soon, next month even, so prices should go down a bit more
Actually I think I’m chilling cause I’m getting this build in 1 in a half or two months
So that’s good
Perfect
When the time comes, pop back in here and we can update that list with the latest deals
Some items ship but the best deals are always in store
I'm 12 hours away from one myself...
If you count traffic
@cyan ravine I think I fixed the windows issue, it seems that after some research, the issue was the amd RAID drivers, I installed everything save those, restarted several times, and everything seems to be working fine
Yea
@potent portal
I might get the xt instead of gre
Bc I watched a benchmark
And it’s 18 fps different
And it cost 130
So more value overall
That's before the overclock I mentioned
It's the same core and the same memory
They cut only like 1% of the cores from the GRE
Yeah 5376 stream processors vs 5120, less than 5%
200 instead of 210 basically, comparing overclocked to overclocked
Oh not bad
Considering it's a sizeable price difference, yeah
How about if I just went down to a 7800 xt
Would that be a big jump down or not really
In price and performance
That was before the patch that fixed it iirc
Rainbow six siege chart thanks
A lot of the GRE reviews are scuffed because they weren't working to the expected performance
Dang 180 fps ultra settings my 2060 don’t even get that on medium
These cards spent a year in China unpatched
4k ultra at that
AMD had no idea until after it went global
God dang
4090>>>>>>>
Things a power house
No duh it’s a 2000 dollar card
It's also $2k
Uh-uhhhh
4 4070 supers out perform the 4090
More than double the money for... 33% more fps
I love that the 7900 gre is what, 45% worse than a 4090 with overclocking?
And is nearly a quarter of the price
That’s actually wild
Maybe closer to 55%
Still garbage pricing
Not certain
Never
Ima get the gre soon
Ppl who get the 4090 either have unlimited money or are 4k res fanatics
" I only play cyberpunk with path traced rays on"
Lmao
They are also 2 kinds of people
People who play in 4K+ and use it properly, and people who don't and completely waste the value of the card
Yup
I feel sad when people say they're buying a 4090 to play esports at 1080p
Cough cough mongral
Literally 25% usage at 300fps
I have my list to be making use of a 4090
For a comparison, the 4090 idles at about 10%
"But the latencyyyyyyy"
How much fps y’all think a 7900 gre on all low settings paired with 7800x3d can get on fortnite
(meanwhile AMD drivers with less latency)
Don't use low or performance
it ruins the card utility
Bro that’s what I like to do on fort man
Yea but on a 2060 that makes sense
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4090, Phanteks ECLIPSE G500A DRGB ATX Mid Tower
I’m gaming
On a 7900GRE, don't
Watch this
Completely debunks anyone who says "Fortnite is better on Nvidia"
Anyway to bypass it or like can I use medium settings atleast
DX12 pro is the best and fastest
kekw
On Fortnite atleast
400 easy, CPU limited so you can increase GPU related settings and still get max fps
Alr
It greatly fixes the 1% lows as well
Up from like 30 to 100+
Huge change for a game that involves fighting using building
Yes definitely play with a fps cap as well
Basically the cap keeps the CPU from outrunning the GPU too much
But what if I want 360 fps
Then set the cap to 360
If you can't hit 360 fps, cap it to what you can run and the fps lows are better
then do 240
Which is 120 lower
Yes but when you fight in game, you won't be running 240
You'll be running much less as everything is going on and hitting the gpu
can you even notice it past 240 💀
Me personally I can
Whole point of this is that you improve overall fluidity
But ima have to try to get use to it
OLED 240 looks smoother than IPS 360
I have first hand experience on this
You could also consider a 13600K and 4070 super here
You'll gain an even bigger 1% low improvement at the cost of never being able to upgrade on the mobo again
Since every better cpu on intel rn is destroying itself under intel advice
It got a 2060 i7 11900k
800 makes some sense
I got offered 800
Hopefully the psu and storage aren't huge
I put it for free and put offers in the description with the specs
Well more than half of my new build is covered
And I need to invest in an oled Fr
Hearing the benefits
They are calling to me
@cyan ravine according to u sounds like a game changer
Cos it is
I mean, you can do just fine on a normal monitor, sure, but if you play at that 0.1% level, it makes an enormous difference
Invest in a good mouse and keyboard as well
Wooting 60HE and a Razer 8K sensor from 2022 onwards
The accuracy and response times are big improvements
There's not a whole lot else after that you could do to reduce system latency (Which ultimately is as big as a major fps improvement)
Intel will have better 1% lows, but I will say again, they definitely have a huge amount of issues rn on the platform
I’m a razor guy
Both are good, my suggestions are slightly better
I have a mini analog and a DA V3 pro btw
lol
Modded both
Also
Go DA V3 or viper v3 pro on a sale
Do u need a screwdriver kit when you build ur pc?
I mean I have that
of decent size
But in that video
Then you should be fine
It has some good advertising
?
What ifixit?
I don't use one of those
With coupons it’s like 77
Great kits, don't need them
They have good quality stuff but nothing too special
Alr
It’s gonna be fun building a pc for the first time
I’m 13 as well so that’s gonna be a interesting experience
Just make sure you plug the psu cables in the right direction and carefully put the cpu in the socket first thing
Other than that, pretty hard to mess up building one
Save for just general forgetfullness
I know a couple steps already
First put the cpu in its socket on the motherboard
Than add the ram in the slots
Watch this for all your building questions
I watched Linus’s a few times
Really helpful
Just really long

I ain’t touching that TUF mobo
?
The X670 Asus' don't have issues
In reference to foxy telling me about it a bit ago
I'm fully aware, you think they'll just allow something like that to happen if you take pictures before you send it?
I am all too familiar with a brand smashing up my device and footing me a bill for an irrelevant problem
They did apparently. Did you see those emails they sent? They implied if you didn't pay to fix the cosmetic damage you wouldn't get an intact device back and they wouldn't repair it.
This is why you video things properly and document it for evidence
There are regulators for these things
How hard is it to just be a decent company and respect your customers
in 2024, very
Every company has this issue
It gets harder as you get more money apparently
It's just Asus' turn
You can't fix crap degenerates making degenerate decisions
This is the whole reason Newegg got called out ages ago, by the same person

Their warranty department was garbage, couple that with gigabad repair services in the usa and you get a board paid for repair, sent back, never touched, still broken
I'm not on Asus' side btw, I'm not on any company's side
As it should be, since no company is on your side in the end
If you buy a perfectly working or perfectly broken board via amazon, you'll be able to return it provided your record is good
Return everything
Amazon are renowned for their no questions asked service
Make Amazon hate you
The reference to this btw is the gen 1 B650's and A620's from Asus in their prime lineup. Inadequate vrm cooling lead to disgustingly bad temps and failing tests
The x670 doesn't have this issue
