If you have pc just leave it on lmao 💀
That’s a big Nono
...why
Sleep + drivers + windows = bugs
^
Still contemplating between 7700 XT or 7800 XT
Realistically I would only be using a 6950 XT for 1440p
I see no need to spend the extra $150-$200
I’m gonna wait till next month (Birthday month) and see if I have any luck then
I’m hoping the 7800 XT will be a nice pair with a 13600K
Should be
I wanna hit that sweet spot for higher mid range
Recommendations may change if AMD does what they've done in the past and lowers the retail price shortly after launch
I wanted to pull the trigger on a 6950xt before they go out of stock but parent said no so ill prob wait until maybe christmas or my birthday, if I stick to AMD is a 7800 or 7900 XT more worthwhile
Well the higher tier stuff will obviously get better fps but as far as price/performance, that's subject to change quickly.
mhm
would a 7600 bottleneck any of those cards that heavily
Nah it would be fine. Anything less than a 4080/XTX would work with that cpu.
cool
would a 750w psu also work
mine is pretty good i think let me get a link
ik prob not for XTX
It would work for the XTX
Current gen isn't as hungry as last gen
Or at least, not as spiky, which was the main issue
do you know what tier it is
A, just like every other RM model
fair enough
7800xt + 13600k with a 750w is fine?
my cpu is spiking to 1.488 v for some reason and I wanted to know if that was cool. I didn't overclock it or anything and temps are reasonable
im also on a stock amd cooler
it's fine
that looks like you're idling
ryzen idles at high voltages
it'll just step down when there's load
Perfectly fine
nice thank you
rip
such a cool card too
i have the money for it, parent wont let me pull the trigger
which is fine
i need to save my money
As long as it's A or B tier should be fine
@wary tundra don’t be shy. Turn the lights on
I love the lights off but also I don't have any on it. It's a big contrast from my main build
Is this a good deal
nope
not for a used 3080
Instead get this
Is this a good deal
yeah, the ebay link is cheaper
and this one is from a reputable seller
they do have many different gpus to choose from
I know it’s alienware💀 but this is a good deal right
Nvm
Its $1100 for 32 gbs of RAM and RTX 3080 and 1tb ssd
I know it’s not that good
6800xt is cheaper and better, new, except for ray tracing
If anyone has any ideas, I just built a pc and anytime I tried to enable XMP or update bios or windows the system shuts off then turns back on as it should. But, all I see is a black screen when it restarts. No mouse or anything. It works if I turn it off then back on to get into bios but whenever it restarts, all I see is a black screen. Any suggestions?
Does it see the boot drive in the BIOS
Initially, yes. But if I tried to update bios from it or install windows, it just restarts and black screen
So you try to update, it reboots, but never gets past a black screen
Mine kind of did this too
I had an nvme drive just stop working and I came to the conclusion it's either that the nvme heat sink kept shorting the drive
Or just a bad m.2 slot
Try and move your boot drive to another slot and see if that works
I'll do that. It's just a new build so it's frustrating
That does not sound like a fun time
I'm replacing a lga1700 bracket for a thermal plate, would electrical tape be fine to support the backplate while I unscrew the front
Electrical, normal, whatever
As long as there’s no adhesive left behind
Since I’m betting you’re gonna do this with your PC unplugged
(That’s what you should do)
Ofc
Can AIO water coolers spring a leak like a window unit Air conditioner? Window units also are closed loop systems but with Freon so the impact may be different than water on the tubing.
What cpu, mobo and ram do you have
Everything I'm reading says that a leak is extremely rare, I don't think the liquid is pressurized to a high degree
The more likely scenario is the pump burns out and it breaks, throwing shrapnel down the water tube and maybe poking a hole
AIO’s were designed to eliminate the issues commonly found on custom loops
All AIO’s are never filled 100% and are are airtight so no liquid/air leaves or gets in
Going back to this, AIO’s lack user serviceability unfortunately
But that’s the sacrifice you make by choosing a cheaper option since custom loops are only found on the higher end of things due to their price
Depending on what tubing your AIO uses that will determine how sensitive it is and what can possibly damage or cut it
Meanwhile frozen notte 360 is $70
Custom loops are pretty much never worth it unless you're very, VERY into overclocking
Was gonna point that out
Custom loops only offer so many benefits and ultimately their downfalls outweigh those benefits for daily use
It's never worth custom loop unless you're already getting the best of the best, and a 7800x3d can be cooled by a $20-40 air cooler, and 4090 shrouds are all overbuilt
New here and could use some help mid-build
Trying to figure out why my build won’t boot up proper
So it seems that my GPU (AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT) may be causing a complete failure.
I have 2 VGA cables from my power supply plus a pigtail from one of the cables inserted into the GPU.
When GPU is completely disconnected, everything seems to be working properly (but I have nothing to display onto monitor) once I attached the GPU without additional power outside of the motherboard, I have power supply issues (no power)
BUT when I attache 2 cables with no pigtail, everything appears to work properly for about 10yrs before dying
Would anyone know what my next step should be?
What CPU/Motherboard do you have? Also, what Power Supply do you have?
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 MK
Power Supply: EVGA 750 GT
I’m now wondering if power supply (even though it meets the minimum requirement) may not be strong enough.
Or the motherboard is shot. Motherboard had HDMI slot but isn’t displaying anything on monitor.
The gt is a good psu, but its possible it has issues
But everything seems to work without GPU.
I’m wondering if it may just be the motherboard now….
@mossy venture 5600 or 12400f
Whichever + mobo is cheaper
If there's a pc you could test it in, like a family members or a friends I'd try the gpu in it
Or does the mobo have a second pcie slot?
1 PCIe and no other PC I can borrow. (Everyone has laptops)
which one do you think the mobo is cheaper
I forget, do you need wifi on mobo?
I do got a Ethernet cable
Actually sure I need wifi
Ok one sec
you can add wifi to any mobo, so don't let wifi dictate your mobo choice too much
Since I’m getting the gpu tmr I might try to build it soon
For 5600 https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J7kmsL
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600
This is also a good point
nice
like you shouldn't pay a premium of more than $10 for wifi 5 or more than $20 for wifi 6
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F
Alright thanks
200 for a 6700xt is pretty sweet
Yeah I found a good deal and imma buy it tmr
it’s sugary
And idk what to do, should I wait for Black Friday and cyber Monday or build it in the next month
in theory your 750 GT is extremely overkill for that system
possible it could be a defective unit
but it's not because it's underspec
your cpu has no integrated graphics, so the motherboard hdmi will never work
Tracking that now
Isn’t the amd one cheaper, I don’t need the Wi-Fi adapter now anyways since I have an Ethernet cable
also it's not supposed to work without external power to the gpu
so that's not really relevant
The amd one also has wifi
you said it works for 10 years, did you mean 10 hours...?
true
Do it without Wi-Fi and I’m pretty sure 5600 is better for budget
That b550 would be fine for a 5800x3d, that b660 would be fine for a 13600k
amd mobo’s are cheap either way so buying it without wifi would be good
if you have Ethernet atleast
I9 13600k?
Meant seconds but iPhones like to make me look stupid
Imo not any boards without wifi worth it, as most are a520s with far worse vrms
12400f is the superior cpu over the 5600, but at least for gaming the difference won't be too relevant
Yeah I have a cable it works so I’m chilling
i5-13600k
Ah ok
lmao how did your phone manage to autocorrect seconds to yrs
Yeah, there is a difference just not a huge one
Why is it superior
i mean
Like 5% or so?
same core count but each core is stronger
🤷♂️ iPhone surprises me often
Yeah o think so
it's more than 5%
Even on d4?
not that much more than 5% though
Ah
more like 7-8%
Also yeah bacca I change my mind I might try to build the pc as soon as possible so make me a build that’s super budget with 16gb ram and with a monitor
it's like.. with the gpus you are going to pair either cpu with, you'll be gpu bottlenecked either way
what is super budget
well my android phone once tried to correct "what's" to "28th" so neither side is free from jank
Ok one second
This is mine I believe
Like which is really cheap I meant but decent performance
so what do you mean by "dies"? like does it just shut off?
Does the 6700xt bottleneck those cpus
does it make any sort of abnormal sound like a loud click?
the 6700xt will be the limiting factor yes
No audible noises at all
what no way
ok so it's not a short at least
Why is that? Should I downgrade my cpu for lesser cost?
are you ever able to get into bios?
no, you want to be gpu bottlenecked
being cpu bottlenecked is miserable
Alright
Which would you rather, a good 750w psu that you can reuse in the future or a cheap 600w that'd be fine with a 6700xt but is less likely for you to be able to reuse
you still get consistent frames with a gpu bottleneck (assuming the limit is just rendering power and not out of vram)
$19 difference
That’s promising
with a cpu bottleneck you will get inconsistent frames and stutters and input lag and all that
no way
A cheap one is fine I might as well make a whole new system when I’m older because I’ll get a better job and allat anyways
Alright
i'm not sure what saying "no way" repeatedly adds to this conversation
this is all common well documented knowledge
my bad
He’s probably being sarcastic
i dailied an i3-12100 + 3090 for quite some time lol
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (3 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Can add more ram down the line, could also go cheaper on case
good system
Imo I'd just buy 32gb for $50 right now but if you want it as cheap as possible
Aight
obviously depends on the degree of the bottleneck
true
Thank you
you can still play games with a slight cpu bottleneck
games were playable on my i3-12100 + 3090
ok say like a 12400f and a 4080
💀
now pair that 3090 with an fx 8350 you won't have such a good time
Not too bad I think
12400f probably won't even bottleneck a 4080 at 4k in a lot of games lol
1440p maybe some? but not too bad
Lowkey, bclk oc with ddr5 ram at 4k it'd likely be fine
ok
i don't think we should consider bclk oc as a relevant factor for the 12400f
Tbh I would like a smaller case if you can add it and also a monitor
I think its $130 for z690 pg riptide rn
Ok one sec and yeah forgot monitor, sorry
It’s alright thanks for always helping tho
nah wrd
is that a bclk oc board?
bacca even helping on birthday
Fr
super dedication
not every Z series board allows bclk oc
Best pc builder ong
actually almost all of them don't
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sFccqR I'll link monitor in a sec
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
I think the pg riptide does have it but I could be wrong
Also when I do decide to go for this build y’all should tell me the basics and how to build it and all that
Yeah, ddr5 too
asrock ❤️
The z690 is ddr4 though so I think it's more worth going ddr5 if caring about bclk lol
asrock L
It’s not loading 🥲
Asrock is nice for budget
The 6700 XT I got from them has been nothing but issues
When it does work fine it’s good tho
sounds like a defective unit
No complaints there
RMA it
I tried
asrock is considered one of the better radeon partners lol
I never got an email back
check your spam
did you email them or did you use the rma form
Both I think
does it say anything on your rma portal
I would have to look again but probably not

Are they more likely to answer on the portal or email
i mean i just did an asrock rma like 2 weeks ago
and they never emailed me iirc
but they updated the portal
I guess I’ll have to try the portal
They won’t find anything wrong with it
I know that
It hasn’t happened for awhile luckily
i mean have you even isolated the issue to the gpu
The GPU was like disconnecting cause of driver issues
Idk what else it would be
gpu driver crashes can be a manifestation of other issues
have you ever run a memory stability test
probably like half the complaints about 5700xt driver issues were from people running unstable corsair xmp lol
When I was originally trying to get help for it that never came up no
what's your ram kit
are you using xmp/expo or whatever
try running it at default and doing a clean reinstall of your drivers
see if the problems persist
also, make sure you're not daisy chaining your gpu power cable
They haven’t in almost 3+ weeks thankfully
I am not
then yeah i would check your ram
you can run a stability test with xmp/expo or just try default settings
Pins on my cpu are bent…. Fml
7800xt or 6950xt?
6950xt I’m pretty sure
Cuz like I watched Linus video and 7800xt is almost similar to 6800xt which is previous gen
6950xt
Welp, I definitely need a new video card now...mine just had a meltdown
Pulled these out of it
No more 3080
Nope
That's mostly why I wouldn't run those.
Wtf are those white connectors
They're adapters
Oh god
Did the reverse oreo look.
how do you get windows free on a new pc
You install it normally and tell it you'll input a license later. Then you just never give it a license so you're in perpetual trial mode.
You may get a watermark and warning when you boot up that it's not a valid copy, but it's a full version. You just can't use the "presonalization" menu
ok
Yeah you use the normal installer tools
thank you
DO NOT BUY THESE
Bruh
I found out the hard way
Ezdiy
We only go hardiy in this club
that looks a lot like something that is very safe indeed
I wouldn't recommend those from any brand. They break too often with issues, not even cablemod could pull it off without problems on theirs
^
chaining up power plugs is always a big nono
heat adds exponentially and stuff
Extensions are fine
It's the power through such a tiny pcb that is very concerning lmao
ofc this kind of extension is scary
but if it's an extension cable, all is fine as long as the design is safe
I found a person 4 hours away selling a evga dg87 case for 100
Im going to go feral
Thought it was a fridge

I have the B650E Tiachi and i have a quick question am i able to plug in 3 fans the Noctua NF-12x25 to 1 header? The manual does not state if the header is 1 amp each
yes
those fans should draw less than .25a per fan
headers are typically 1A but some can go higher
if you're super worried get a fan hub
speaker guy is back
.14 to be exact
it should be fine
Thanks
Another quick question will this ram work fine with the B650E Tiachi on EXPO Settings

same sticks, same performance, 20% cheaper
but better quality
have you bought this taichi yet?
or the noctuas for that matter
Taichi was free in contest with 7900x
How is that seller though it's not shipped by amazon
pretty good.
if you haven't bought the noctuas, get the thermalright b12's. exact same fans just 60% cheaper and with a thermalright badge not a noctua one
they're both nidec gentle typhoons
down to a T
I mean, iirc it's G.skills official storefront so I would say it's pretty legit
Wait what is there official store front
racerspeed on amazon
Really didn't know that
I've been told before by several people it's g.skills official amazon store
if you look up the business it leads to a california facility, probably an affiliated agent for them? either way it should be plenty trustworthy
Thanks
all good
one sec I'll show you the fans I'm talking about
$10 versus what, $35 for the exact same fan in brown from Noctua? would be a no brainer to pick these imo
they even have noctua colours
Ordered the fans. The corsair ram i linked i can get for 45 bucks due to rebat and some left over store credit will i have any problems running it on my motherboard or should i still go with gskill
$45 isn't bad
I was more saying it because of the price is all
it should run
as long as you're getting good deals that's all that matters
yeah i just worry that when i set it to expo it will freeze and crash and stuff
because its not on QVL
unlikely
QVL is a meme
ddr5 has 4 different die types right now
i.e ram only ships with 4 different types of chips
Hynix A or M
Samsung B
Micron A
the odds of getting something that simply won't run on ddr5 is extremely low
which is the best for AMD 7900x (Again free from contest with motherboard)
the $45 kit you said you'd get would be good
it's hynix so should be very easy to run
i wish i can get a 64gb kit but they only run at 5600mhz 😦
64gb isn't worth it if you're gaming
I only suggested the g.skill cos it's cheaper for the same
It's actually counter productive
Corsair uses hynix in that ram?
In a lot of scenarios
I mean, vs 32 at $45? nah
ye
it's quite easy
What felix is about to say
anything 6000+, CL32 or lower is guaranteed hynix
Thought it was 5600+?
anything 5600+ CL32 or lower is a high chance of hynix
Ah
beat you to it haha
I normally only recommend kits I'm pretty sure about have hynux
since by history hynix has been the best by far
so you get a good kit that will have some legs in it for when you upgrade later
so those corsair ram sticks i am fine with and everything
means you don't necessarily need to buy a new kit, you could overclock the one you'd have up to speed, just for example
ye
Thanks so much for your help
I feel like I remember this from a while ago
Heard the B650E Tiachi is pretty dam close to the X670E Tiachi
just as long as the motherboard is built well enough and a taichi is
for XTX? 1440p 240hz minimum
or 4K
especially with a 7900x
I'd dare say 4K would be better
so stay away from the ultrawide
it's more like
right down the middle
but I mean it depends on what UW we're talking about
Oh right yeah yeah
I thought it was closer i underestimated 4k res
Woops
Basically 5 mil pixels vs 8 mil woops
lol all good
For reference 1440p non uw is 3.5mil
I mean a G9 would run nearer 4K or above
that be the ultra ultra wide doe

I'll bbl have fun guys
👋
That's big boi uw ye
well 600 max
You'll Brazilian butt lift? Sus
lmfa
I'd get this for 1440p uw
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ny3gXL/gigabyte-m34wq-340-3440-x-1440-144-hz-monitor-m34wq-sa
Honestly this is the cheapest I'd go for 4k, unfortunately their pricing kinda sucks still, still good very good tho
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/WchFf7/gigabyte-m32uc-315-3840-x-2160-160-hz-curved-monitor-m32uc-sa
2nd is curved so there is that too
Personally if i was forking out for a 4k monitor I'd consider this even tho it's 680, which is ouch, the upgrade to flat and ips might not be worth it for you tho
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Fm7G3C/gigabyte-m32u-315-3840x2160-144-hz-monitor-m32u
Thanks. With that USB hub for the KVM i can use it as a hub? Do i need to install gigabyte stupid software
Nope so kvm is a regular usb hub but you can connect 2 pc/laptop at once and share whatever is plugged in between the 2 with a toggle switch to go between i believe
personally like the ultrawide better
also love that gigabyte line its just sleek no RGB and professonal
5600 or 12400f
whichever works out cheaper with the motherboard
What motherboard are good?
haven-
haven't you already got a list or 2?
I would trust the guys like Bacca or Pato to give you good motherboard recommendations
is ez
Alright
that sounds like prime b450m-a ii
which is fine with a 5600
or you'd go tuf gaming a520m wifi ii
for 99
Why not
They are about the same price
True true
motherboard and cpu, the prices go together
so a 12400f would need a good board for like, $100 as well for me to say it's plain better
Hmm, so you suggest 5600 because almost same performance and cheaper motherboard?
ye
Aight thanks
why pay like, 15% more for maybe 5% more performance yaknow?
This is what bacca reccomended
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sFccqR I'll link monitor in a sec
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
You think any changes?
if you can afford the extra $15, an upgrade to 32gb of ram is well worth it
and/or if you need the wifi for $15 more on top as well
but otherwise yea list is not bad at all
I mean I don’t need WiFi for now, if I do I’ll get it after
I’m thinking about it but I don’t think I need 32 gigs but I’ll see
Alright I’ll see
What about the case
it's more like, if you want to do a fair bit of multi-tasking you would want 32gb
Hmm alright I’ll see
case is quite good I recommend it
it's a box, has mesh front, and lots of fans
cheap
sold
nah you're good
Alright
Aio on a 5600 is like putting premium gas in a Kia soul
Stock cooler is fine
unless you want dead silence then a cheap $20 tower will do that
If you want to, $17-20 for a single tower cooler that'll be quieter and possibly look nicer
I want rgb
Or if for whatever reason you want to, $30-35 for a dual tower cooler that performs similar to 240mm aio
I might get rgb ram
rgb exists on those $20 options
If you like the aesthetic of an aio, 240mm frozen notte is cheap and nice
And what felix said
And paint my cooler white
they come in white
Maybe my gpu fans as well

I meant stock cooler
Yeah I might not do it
how much are you willing to spend cos I could make something
Make something for what?
ooo that's tight, I'll try
My parents might get mad for 400
I gotta sell my switch for that and I still haven’t sold
Someone should buy Fr
Cheapest rgb kit worth it
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/YYgFf7/neo-forza-mars-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-nmgd480e82-3200df20
Ok
I gtg
Ping me when y’all make list
If y’all do
@cyan ravine I have a 6700xt gpu btw
Imma leave the gpu like that black and white looks alright anyways
barely fits
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Rbq3t7
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Pretty much the same thing I came up with
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
32gb is def worth going for, but if you really want to save the money
these are nicer tho imo if you weren't strict
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/s8vqqs/patriot-viper-rgb-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-pvr432g320c6k
I might go the neo forza and upgrade later
Also the black cables might look a bit off in a white build, but the cheapest good white psu is $85
yeah you could get white extensions later
asiahorse, ezdiy fab
They are not too expensive
cablemod etc
Yeah yeah
antec I hear are good too
Thanks for the list guys
np
cya
Is a Ryzen 7 5700x and rx 6600 a good combo
Is mw2 gpu or cpu based
computer
Both?
if the game runs on a console I imagine it's an easy answer of gpu bias
Bottle neck calculator says a Ryzen 5 5600g is too weak for an RX 6600
For cod go 5600 and rx 7600/6700
Instead
Similar price result
I have the 6600 already
Tho if you told me your budget I could maybe do better
Oh then just go 5600
Get like a tuf a520m wifi ii or prime b450m-a ii
Who makes the fastest ddr5 Ram
Hynix
And does the motherboard matter
Don't have budget
Doesn't mean you need to overspend lol
I was just going off pc builder videos lol
The basic am5 stuff is as sufficient as the high end and mid range. There's no performance gain
It's ok. They don't write a manual for this stuff
If you want a no budget am5 build I'll make you one that does it all without overspending
Ye
Cos marketing is strong in this segment
You get stuff like
"the best gaming is on i9"
So far I ordered the 4090 gpu
And the 7850x3d cpu
usb 3.0 is the best for gaming
Yeah my mistake I've been typing 7950 for the past month lol
All good
Yeah you don't need any extreme mobo for that
7800x3d is an 88w max cpu
It can run on the most basic stuff
On a stock cooler too
My suggestion would be either gigabyte a620m gaming x, or asrock a620m pro rs wifi
$99 or $124.99 respectively
In other countries those should still be cheap
I was going for the b650 for the audio inputs and faster usb
just get an audio interface yeah
apple usb-c dac is $9 and blows any onboard mobo audio out of the water
mobo audio these days doesn't really make much difference
so just get it for the usb only
i upgraded from the highest end onboard audio solution to a $9 apple dac and the difference was immense lol
Okay you're teaching me something
Yeah if you need USB it's understandable but audio nah, invest in a nice interface
What exactly is that
what's this apple usbc dac
now i have a proper $150 desktop dac/amp unit and it's even more of a night and day difference
can also find on amazon
@storm arrow it's this
why can't it be usb a 😔
or this
if you care enough about audio to know what an audio solution is but don't care enough to spend a lot of money on it, then this is what you want to get
if it's fancy and you know what you're looking for
Quite literally a cable does a better job than like 90% of all audio devices for sound quality to a headset
Unironically apple's best product is a $9 cable
for once apple makes something with insane price/performance lol
How much fps should I get in Warzone two with an RX 6600 and Ryzen three 5300 G
google exists
5300g is not really the best idea if you're already on am5, go 5600 if you want a new cpu
it's not like we can google it any better than you can
but yes i would not recommend the 5300g
it's not even cheap or anything
they sell for more than used 5600 does
what
and any 5300g you're getting is a used OEM pull with no warranty anyways
so don't say you don't want used lol
The videos I've personally watched says go with Samsung 990 ssd would you say otherwise?0
Definitely against a 990
i would avoid samsung 980 pro and 990 pro
it gonna work via c to a dongle or
There's a tons of ssd's that outclass a 990
chance you get old stock that still has the self cannibalism firmware bug
and yeah
In both price/performance and performance in general
Help MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R V2 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, 240mm Radiator, Dual PWM, ARGB Lighting Controlled by Software LGA 1700 Ready / AM5 Compatible
Also this
if you want a premium nvme just get a solidigm p44 pro honestly
What do you want to know
but what if I want dram 😠
cheaper than the 990 pro, not any worse, and doesn't have a chance of having a nasty firmware bug where it kills itself in a week
... it does have dram lol
o it do?
right
Faster ssd's for gaming do basically nothing
I bought this MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R V2 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, 240mm Radiator, Dual PWM, ARGB Lighting Controlled by Software LGA 1700 Ready / AM5 Compatible and this motherboard ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming AMD AM4 Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 & 3rd Gen Ryzen ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, BIOS Flashback, HDMI 2.1, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and Aura Sync) do the brackets work for this?
Okay thats great to know
1GB LPDDR4 per 1TB capacity
despite what one individual may tell you, faster ssds do nothing for gaming yes
Look up intel 670p, or silicon power a60, or teamgroup mp33
Depending on your region, those are often quite cheap
You also have silicon power ud90
Some mp33 clones
I bought this MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R V2 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, 240mm Radiator, Dual PWM, ARGB Lighting Controlled by Software LGA 1700 Ready / AM5 Compatible and this motherboard ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming AMD AM4 Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 & 3rd Gen Ryzen ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, BIOS Flashback, HDMI 2.1, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and Aura Sync) do the brackets work for this?
I only game with the fastest of sd cards
Give me a moment I'm helping 2 other people
Yes, also when did you buy these things
So many options lol so if you had to pick one today what you getting
The cheapest of the suggestions imo
Okay
Honestly gaming on a sata ssd is no different than gaming on a gen 4 99% of the time even with directstorage involved rn
What ssd's make the difference in is windows
The motherboard recently and the cooler since July. So the brackets should fit then?
Yes
If the mobo was in the last week I'd return it. Those are hilariously expensive for no benefit
You can get the same results out of a tuf a520m if you don't do any overclocking
That's my only reason why I ask
It might save you a few dollars
Ok just wanted to make sure because I was trying to use the amd brackets that comes with it and it didn't seem to fit in the holes of the motherboard
Thank you I appreciate I am new to building a pc 😁
All good my guy
I say it a lot, they don't write a manual for this stuff
People get snagged by marketing and misconceptions all the time
It's not the one buying it at fault
For 7800x3d?
Yeah
It should be g.skill flare x5 32gb 6000 c30
The code would be like, uhhh
Give me a minute
No that's fine
No you're okay I can type that in lol
And you said I don't need a aio for that cpu
If you want rgb
Yes you don't
An aio is like
Overkill to overkill
The horse is dead now you're mincing it
Basically at this point for looks
Mmmmm is it worth the 40-70 extra tho??
That cpu literally runs on the stock cooler
The basic amd wraith box cooler
I'd send a vid but it's a bit of a highbrow demo, would be a bit difficult to understand
Right okay for the 4090 I was going with the msi suprim
I got the 6700xt 🎉🎉🎉
Would I recommend suprim? No
Now imma build the rest
It's great, it's fast, good quality
W
Is it worth the extra over a basic 4090? Nah
It looks good the pins are also good, no other damages
You buy a suprim for overclocking
But if you aren't serious about overclocking, a suprim offers nothing
I can’t wait to build a pc
W
I might order tmr or on Monday or some
Over clocking is crazy to understand lol
Eh, depends on the type of overclocking
Can't you overclock each component
Gpu overclocking is pretty simple
You can ye
Cpu and ram tuning are more complex, ram tuning would be the most annoying
But if you don't understand it then I wouldn't bother going out of your way for it
SSD oc >>>
Ram overclocking would be the biggest benefit in the supposed build
Cpu ocing is the most "pointless" for most people nowadays
Mem tuning especially on ddr5 really helps especially in 1% lows but it's very tedious
Gpu ocing can make a very big difference too and wouldn't be that hard, bit time consuming but pretty simple
Cpu oc on ryzen 3d is for the select few, otherwise locked
So basically for gaming nothing has to be overclocked nor liquid cooled
There's guides I believe pinned in #overclocking
Oc'ing a 4090 gets very little gain
Ah didn't realize 4090
But oc'ing even ddr5 you get some decent push
It's extremely complicated tho
Not for the first timer
Eh no
Honestly just setting tRRDS/L/tFAW will get you most performance boost for very little effort
I become disappointed when you spent a buttload for good ram but then don't overclock with it
Other than boosting frequency
That's fair
If you just have good ram then meh whatever
When I got mine it was $10 cheaper than a silicon power same specced kit
$94 after tax for a 32gb kit
Yeah that was...
One sec I'm actually curious now
I think late 2021 but I could be wrong mightve been 2022
That would've been like, mid last year
I'm checking amazon
Or early yeah
Wait nvm that was on my parents amazon account
For your supposed specs yeah. Wouldn't bother
If you were doing like, a full on work rig, say, video editing?
7950x on an aio, 4090/xtx go brrrr
Ye it was Feb of 2022
Or a 13900k goin hard on a 360 aio
Those things make sense but the 7800x3d just simply doesn't use enough power to bother with an aio imo
Even 13900k can struggle on AIO
13900k is the one cpu I'd consider spending more on an aio than notte 360
On a $20 single tower cooler a 7800x3d is already running at the silence of a water cooler in the same scenario
So yeah, no benefit beyond just looks
I do really like the look of white fans on a black rad with a white case
Oddly specific but it looks very clean
(I am all for functionality and price effectiveness over looks)
Sorry back the the ram does that come in rgb
There's also a teamgroup 6000c32 kit I believe for $105 or so with rgb
It's the same stuff as the 6000 cl30 so don't worry about speed
They'll do the same numbers
And xmp is mostly the same anyway
I think oloy also have a kit
A kit meaning a pair?
Ye
Okay that does it for the pc next big question
Which monitor you picking for a 1100 price range
FV43U or LG C2
OR
M32U arm edition
Curved G7 and G9 also nice
There's also LG's GR95 Oled
But I mean, I don't personally like the price of that GR95
If you're getting a 4090 though you want 4K or at a bare minimum 1440p 240hz
Anything lower you won't be using the 4090 properly
And at that point may as well downgrade
I don't think I was a massive one I currently play ps4 on a 75in LG and it's doodoo
Probably because it's a ps4 lol
PS4 non-pro is only 1080p so yeah
Tbf even the one X was pretty meh at the time
Great help I really appreciate all of you
Np man
Send us your list later when you're feeling pretty confident so we can give any further advice
We may have missed something
So far I have msi b650(already ordered)
Amd 7800x3d cpu
Dark rock pro 4 cpu cooler
Solidigm p44 pro ssd
Rtx 4090 msi
Teamgroup 5600 ddr5
Corsair 5000d case already have
Dark rock pro 4 isn't worth it
Ps120 se, pa120 se, ft120, fc140 and other dual tower coolers from thermalright are just as good and cheaper
Ag620 if you want the blackout look
Aside from that looks good
Also idk if you are already, but use pcpartpicker.com
It compares prices between different retailers to find the cheapest one
I have a ryzen 5 3500, planning to buy an rtx card (will need it to render on gpu intensive, low cpu usage rendering softwares) i know it might bottleneck, but what's te best deal?
I have around $300 for the gpu and extra for psu and case upgrade too.
Is 4060 worth it?
What is the total upgrade for the gpu, case and psu, and what is your entire current build?
The 4060 overall is just terrible value
At times it loses to the 3060 12gb
For rendering though it might be worth it, @cyan ravine do you know how it compares for rendering?
The 4060 matches the 3060 ti in Blender
I'm assuming the 3060 ti is better than the 3060 12gb in blender? Or does the extra vram give it a leg up
I dont really know anything about rendering
Fair enough, numbers are better than simple statements
(lower is better, this is render time)
An interesting contender here is the A750. A bit of a dark horse for that price.
Yup rendering lol
4060 is faster than 3060 but...
if your scene needs more than 8gb vram then the 3060 is infinitely faster
so it just depends
Yes, but model is very important
Xpg core reactor is the best prices A tier 850w psu right now
Can someone tell me if this is a good pc build? • NVIDIA RTX 4080 FE
• AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
• ROG STRIX B650E-F
• G.SKILL DDR 5-6000 32GB
• Alienware 24.5 1080P 240hz
• Roccat Vulcan TKL KB
• Corsair Nightsword RGB
Pls no
4080 at 1080p should be a war crime
Are you in the US? And what's your budget for the pc, including monitor keyboard and mouse
I want just only pc I’m in the US my budget is $2000
Do you alr own the monitor keeb and mouse then?
I have the tower already
Yes
What case?
And if you can, id return the monitor. It's a good monitor, but running a 4080 at 1080p is like buying a Lamborghini and putting a camry engine in it
Case : CORSAIR 3000D AIRFLOW CASE
MID-TOWER CASE
Ok few min
Thanks 😊
Can I use the psu out my old computer
It's a Rosewill BRONZE Series, RBR1000-MS
Roughly 12 years old ik lol
No pls no
Lol okay I'll get a new one
Oh and psu
Yeah if it’s that old we physically cannot grade it’s quality
it will explode
Really not worth the gamble for modern hardware
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX
Can I always upgrade the ssd and memory
Are you just gaming?
If so wouldn't really be worth upgrading the ram, but yes you can
And ssd you can add storage instead of just changing it, but yeah its upgradable
Oh ok
Is the GPU upgradeable?
and you could go 4080 instead of XTX, but the xtx is beter in pure rasterization
yeah, and that psu you can carry over for multiple builds to come
Considering it's easy to show that if you're barely getting 40 fps native, DLSS frame gen will be a blurry mess (but numbers go nyooom) yeah I agree
I mean it’s not for me it’s for my friend
Plus Nvidia comparing last gen native performance to new gen DLSS 3.0 is just dirty marketing tactics. "Look it's 80% more fps!" When the like for like comparison is more like 5-10%
hey fal im tryna send smthn in tech deals and it won't let me, mind if i dm it to you?
Sure
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/v4L7YJ/thermaltake-toughpower-grand-rgb-650w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ps-tpg-0650fpcgus-r is this psu good
or should i get this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/x96p99/corsair-cx650m-2021-650-w-80-bronze-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020221-na
They are both fine, but there's better 750w psus for $70 rn
Thermaltake tough power and I believe masterwatt?
for $70 that would be good
With a rx 6600 and Ryzen 3 5300g should I be getting 60 to 80 fps in warzone 2
Depends on the settings
What about basic settings
How is the cx550m? Is it good
it's old but it's decent
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ychtpB is this worth selling for like $500?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Deepcool MATREXX 40 3FS MicroATX Mini Tower
depends on price
cxm is B tier, but has noise issues
I mean it’s good tho it’s 40 bucks on fb marketplace
C tier no?
I had a cxm and remember it being c tier
probably because of coil whine right
it was, it got moved
nope nvm
i have been lied to (im an idiot and confused myself)
it's C tier not B, excuse me
Oh ok
Don't know if there's a preset called that, do you just mean everything low?
I'd expect it to get a bit more
