Oh no I'd definitely say 6900xt is better
^
No question
Ah okay awesome ill go with that them
I do wanna do vr
Ah well then there you go
So 3080 best bet?
Tried to but cant find them
Looked in r/Hardwareswap?
(Do they have an eu group?)
Idk
Might be worth a look
Jeez if a 6900xt is 1000 then maybe a 3080 is reasonable after all
Amazon DE has merc310 for 720 euros new
And its only waterblock
Different region?
Amazon de is known for sometimes not delivering
Germany ok tho?
Hi guys, someone from here use Asus Rog Strix B650E-E Gaming Wifi MB? I want to buy a memory kit of 32gb ram 6000Mhz CL32 DDR5 from G.Skill Neo RGB and dont know if this is compatible. On website just cl 30, 36 and 40 are presented as compatible.
It is???
it is
That would be way better
but its still 900 euros
There's also 6800xt for 600 euro
880
The seller seems good
for vr then?
lmfao
Used 3080 for 600 seems more decent though after looking through Netherlands pricing

thank you a lot for your help
Np
where is help channel

Depends on what type of help you need.
If you need help with an order, then DM @fresh garden.
If you need help with building a PC, troubleshooting, suggestions and/or advice, then here or any hardware specific channels work.
can someone put a psu a gpu in this build for me?
Choose Your Parts
bc this is my first build
Try sending the link again
Choose Your Parts
it says it's $329.00 because it's only available on Amazon, where it isn't available on Newegg or Corsair
if you want my advice, check the PSU tier list and see if there's another 850W PSU that's cheaper. because $330 for an 850W PSU is too much
That psu price is ouch
Is this going to be a new pc or?
Cause the list is missing so many things
I wouldn't know about the GPU. but I know for sure that PSU is stupidly overpriced
Use this and basically just look for any of the A-tier PSUs that fit your desired power output and price
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Radeon RX 6800, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
thatās my build
iām missing the psu and gpu
ok
idk whether you're going for that 6800 XT as an upgrade, but personally I don't think it would be worth it as an upgrade from a 6800
Comparing AMD RX 6800 XT with AMD RX 6800: technical specs, games and benchmarks.
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Radeon RX 6800, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
A bit cheaper and better psu
if you already have a 6800, don't upgrade to a 6800 XT. I would just overclock the 6800 (I'm also just waking up and idk the full context of what's going on lol)
it says the Radeon RX 6600 is on sale for 270
That's a big downgrade
so just stick with the gpu in my build?
yes
I'd learn to overclock if you don't already know how. you can use the Radeon drivers that you have installed for your GPU
the drivers for your GPU
this driver
and please tell me you have that installed lol
Is there a 32GB DDR4 RAM kit with RGB that I could sync with my G360A's pre-installed fans?
this might be stupid since it said its lga 1700 ready but does it come with the bracket https://www.newegg.com/evga-liquid-cooling-system-clx-240/p/N82E16835288019?Item=N82E16835288019 ?
the motherboard typically comes with the bracket. your AIO will come with anything extra for either socket (whether it's AM4, LGA1700, etc.)
if the AIO states it supports your socket, it'll come with any additional parts if needed
I found this in the description. given that you stated for LGA1700, it'll fit
@neat mango
@analog hearth thank you my man
You're gonna have to use the 3 pin rgb header on your mobo to control your fans
Do they have a stock preset color?
Wym
You can control them with the on board rgb controler that's uses buttons on top of the case
Or
You can plug It into the mobo and use software
So they match the ram
Oh okay
What kind of software would I use?
So wait what kind of RAM kit with RGB would be good for that?
Open rgb or signal rgb
Your mobo software may be able to if your rams compatible
How would I be able to figure that out?
how much fps yāall think i will run with this gpu on cod?
Cpu also matters
So does resolution
And graphic settings lol
Fps doesn't mean jack unless you clarify what settings you're playing at
Depends on cpu, ram, motherboard, ssd, game, resolution, settings, what you're doing in the game
And more
GIGABYTE Gaming OC GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card GV-N3070GAMING OC-8GD
would that go better with my build than this?
that is
6800 is better
wb the rx 6700?
XFX Speedster QICK319 AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Black Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6 HDMI 3xDP, AMD RDNA 2 RX-67XTYPBDP
that
that
so the 6800 is better?
Yes
my mom said not to get the 6800 cus the reviews are bad tho
she said get this 1
It has a 4 star rating lol
so stick with the 6800?
ok ty
Yes, and also is there a non-Asrock 6800 available around the same price point?
idk
This one is basically the same price with the offer code
https://www.newegg.com/sapphire-radeon-rx-6800-11305-02-20g/p/N82E16814202394?Item=N82E16814202394&Description=rx 6800&cm_re=rx_6800-_-14-202-394-_-Product&quicklink=true
so which 1 should i get?šš
Personally I'd buy the sapphire as Asrock has done some pretty anti-consumer stuff, but it's possible I am just ignorant of stuff Sapphire has done
Both should perform about the same, difference would be cooling and customer support
which 1 has better cooling?
I haven't seen a head to head review š¤·āāļø
GPU cooling relies partly on your case airflow
Would this be overkill for a 13400F?
Also are there any better/cheaper 32GB RAM kits that would come with RGB?
Isn't hyper212 one of the more basic cooler upgrades?
I would keep the stock cooler on I think
Yeah there's $25 coolers that beat the H212, it's a REALLY old design
AK400 is great
I'm just looking for a tower air cooler that's in black
AG400 is too
Only the AK400 comes in the blackout
oof the dark really on h212 levels of price there
This one is cheaper but comes with one less fan on the tower
I dunno how much that effects it
As far as memory, the max you can do without changing to gear 2 and taking a heavy latency penalty on the locked 13th gen chips is 3466 because of the locked SA voltage
So you can get a used 3200 14-18-18 kit and set it to 3466
Hmmm okay, well is a 32GB upgrade unneeded?
Would 16GB just be fine?
32GB is still good to have these days
Oh okay
US right?
Mhm
So something like this?
Well, it's not RGB but the more I think about it, it doesn't really matter that much
I would prefer if I could get a kit in black though
What kind of options would I have for brand new for a decent price?
I don't see it at $100
2666 š
nono dw its dropped all the way down to a reasonable 55$ now i think /s
oh yay its back up to its good price of 100$
crappp
but don't worry it's been upgraded
the motherboard was upgraded to a b450m ds3h with usb riser cables for the front i/o and a dell psu adapter
and the ram has been upgraded to 4x4gb 2666c16 corsair vengeance lpx (each stick has different ICs)
and the cpu is a lovely launch week ryzen 7 5800x⦠but donāt worry itāll stay nice and cool under dellās patented alienware cryo cooling (120mm aio as exhaust with 0 intake fans)
oh yeah also we chose the single 1tb hard drive option
I just realized
isnāt it crazy that dell still lets you configure modern high end systems to boot off of a hard drive
yummy
will someone check my build out to make sure i didnt mess anything up https://newegg.io/c8ae1ba
what is your total budget and use case
@mossy venture 3k i would be purchasing 120mm fans to make up some of the space. why would you recommend another case?
I would recommend an entirely different build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dwJfwc
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700KF, GeForce RTX 4090, Lian Li O11 Air Mini ATX Mid Tower
the 13700k destroys the 12900k both in gaming and workstation loads
@neat mango
I also would not limit yourtself to one retailer
@mossy venture alright awesome let take a look. now you trust some of these brands im not a huge fan of the mobo i like to stick to msi
@mossy venture yeah only on newegg at the moment to get a build before i look for prices
Unless it's asrock on Intel, or Biostar in general
biostar is an exception
its an asrock on intel
and asrock has some good mobos
if you really care https://pcpartpicker.com/product/k7mmP6/msi-pro-z790-p-wifi-atx-lga1700-motherboard-pro-z790-p-wifi
trying to be alittle fancy so yeah alittle
Asrock is the only brand that follows the Intel spec when it comes to power limits and turbo. Every other brand boosts both out of the box. A lot of Asrock boards also can't handle the stock settings.
Higher end asrock is good tho
different generation
core count doesn't equal performance
higher core count is useful for some non gaming tasks
but for gaming, beyond 8 cores is generally useless
even 8 is pushing it for most games
When each core is faster, fewer cores, but faster cores, can perform better than more but slower cores
pushing it as in 6 is more than enough and won't see much of a diff for most games, if the individual cores perform similar
single core performance is more important than multi core performance for gaming
and the 13600k i believe either matches or beats the 12900k in gaming
and matches it in multi core performance too
even compared to the 13900k, there is a maybe 2-3% difference between the 13600k and 13900k
i mean it's just general knowledge that I have, but you could watch videos of the games you want to play comparing different cpus, or go use this site to compare performance https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleCompare.php
you're gonna want to look at single core/thread performance if you're gaming
oh wait wrong ss
13600k basically matches the 12900k, with the 13700k beating it
gotcha awesome alright thanks for all the info
ofc
any other questions about the list i threw together?
also if you want it cheaper that's very doable
i really appreciate it. i prob dont need a 4090 but its not bad i may change that to get a little more rgb and looking nice
one sec, ill change that up
its a very good reference though
this good? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/24TJKp
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700KF, GeForce RTX 4080, Lian Li O11 Air Mini ATX Mid Tower
rgb fans, 6 of them
though im not sure how many fan slots there are with that case, after the ones taken up by the aio
plus liquid cooler has to be 280mm/360mm on top
a cooler
one sec
alright sweet the ddr5 ram is the 6000 speed right?
plus thanks for the website didnt know about pcpartpicker
yeah i know its new so its alittle pricey
but thank you this is def more what i want here
$110 for a 32gb 6000mhz kit is amazing
that's cheaper than you'll find most 3600c16 kits for
(ddr4)
ah really damn alright. also this website you sent me does it go through all the prices does it show the lowest prices to order from?\
yeah i can see that i usually manually look so this is awesome
thank you for all the info. now just waiting for that paycheck baby
happy to help, also as a heads up prices change daily
so I would check back here right before you buy for any last minute changes
gotcha okay and awesome alright!
feel free to dm me later on when you plan to if you'd like, just send the link to that build list and all the info and everything so I remember who you are lol
alright will do and lol true
yall what do I need to do when switching from nvidia to amd
use ddu
is this a good pc build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JJQtGL
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Lian Li Lancool II Mesh C RGB ATX Mid Tower
It is. I'd maybe change the case if anything but you might have preferred it so it's fine
God my questions are so dumb but do corsair water coolers have the liquid already in itš
all AIOs already have coolant in them
Most-in-ones
Where almost everything is in it

So google is no help how do i reset my PC without logging in
Like from bios or sum
None of the F keys are booting me in it
You might need to hold del, or backspace, or enter, or whatever
Which mobo you got
Also why do you need to reset it
It's the delete key
Thx so when its booting just spam delete?
Ah cool
@potent portal what do I need to do in order to switch from nvidia to amd. ik i need to install ddu but is that it?
Yep just run DDU and tell it to clean and shutdown. While it's shut down you swap the GPUs.
Preferably in safe mode for DDU
ok
yes
okay whew
the most intense game i play is probably postal 2 or something so as long as it can just run
not with good fps no but if it's just for browsing probably.
cheapest psu to get for 12100 or 12400 and 6600 type build?
br sucks
cool thanks
C tier so it'll do nicely in that build
bruh a minimal 12100 and 6600 build still comes out to $590 before tax
At least it's not $1000 for the same spec like mid-shortage
Oh def, maybe not mobo I don't trust the pins personally
maybe the play is a new xbox
xbox kinda lame
yeah but all the kid wants to do is apex at 120 or 140 fps
yeah but he cant afford it š
that or wait longer
Used 16GB RAM is like $35-40
nothing wrong with used stuff
thats as much as the kit i added
140 fps apex is probably realistic on 6600
Settings down most likely
here ill just send the list lol
Part List - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6600, GAMDIAS ARGUS M1 ATX Mid Tower
dudes a freshman in high school with no debit/paypal so idk how he'd fare in the used market
That build looks fine
time to spawn in some money
my logic with it is if the guy can barely afford this theres no upgrade path for him anytime soon
Maybe 10$ more for this
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FmKKHx/msi-pro-b660m-g-ddr4-micro-atx-lga1700-motherboard-pro-b660m-g-ddr4
Does anyone know if there's a version of this that's for the actual 3 pin argb header itself?
Like a 90 degree 3pin rgb adapter?
You wanna get rgb on your rgb connector? š

Guys I need help. I just built my new computer and something weird is happening. I turn on machine and it lights up for a split second then the only thing that stays lit up is the motherboard RGB and the RGB memory. I can power down my machine unplug the 6 pin sata that powers my ARGB fans and hit the power button and boom. Everything comes on. Iāve even tried to just plug in a few fans and they will come on for about 30 seconds and then stop. Could I have bad motherboard or Power Supply not enough? Itās 850w. I know this is very vague and short but I had to start some place. Any help would be great! Thank you to all that help me get my machine fully functional!
Do you have a parts list of the computer
It is not necessarily a short, there are many more likely things it could be
That sounds very logical man. The case has a built in RGB board and Iāve added the Antec Fusion controller. Iāve tried both of them separately with same issues. I thought last night maybe the sata cable was crap.
@grim whale
Antec DF600 Flux case, G Skill Z5 RGB memory (128GB), ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-E motherboard, AMD RYZEN 9 7900x, ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML360L ARGB V2, Antec fusion 120 ARGB FANS, and a WD_Black 1TB M2 SSD
I would make sure ram is seated properly, possible take out 2 of the sticks if it's a 4 stick kit
Will do
change the sata if u have an extra
or use the sata cable in a different port
is what i would do
There is no sata drive
Even if there is, it isn't the boot drive
So it is irrelevant
Hello everyone. First time pc builder. Starting with my CPU. If my goal is to build a pc that will improve the graphics of my oculus quest 2 and to allow for other vr steam games, as well as pc games through steam, what would you recommend? My present pc will not work with steam, so anything will be an improvement. Using the pc builder, but overwhelmed with all of the options. How do you decide which CPU is right for the task when you're starting from scratch?
Are you upgrading your whole pc?
Or just the cpu at the moment
Bruh who invented RGB wiring š
me
So like my RGB wont talk to my iCUE or MSIs either so i was like maybe my wiring is wrong i go back there and i connect my wiring differently now instead of my fans being blue their white now
LIKE WHAT DOES THAT MEANNN šš
And when my radiator fan is lit up the cooling block is off then when my radiator fan is off the block lights up like bruh
i dont know what drivers im supposed to get or how to enable integrated graphics
right now i went into settings and changed it to game mode
my main gpu is still PEG as i want it
but when i plug in my projector, no output shows up
i dont know if i need drivers or if i need to enable something
but my motherboard HDMI output wont work
Whole pc. Trying to decide which CPU makes sense for my needs.
What is your budget for the whole computer , country, and what are you using the pc for
I have a ryzen 7 5700g with radeon graphics
and a b550m pro vdh wifi
My graphics card im using for my 2 monitors is a gigabyte gt 1030
Let me try monitor
nope
it just puts the monitor to sleep
yup
where
i dont see it
ah
there we go
ok
i put it in
it just shows the sync master which is my vga monitor
no other monitors pop up
no the hdmi isnt displaying anything
the hdmi is my main monitor and my vga is on the left
i dont know what that is
oh that
no its vga
my graphics card has 1 vga and 1 hdmi input
so im looking for an hdmi to DP cable?
yeah no i dont have any
anyone familiar with mystic light on the msi motherboards?
what is "weather" supposed to do or look like? because for me its a solid and steady red. all the time...
Nicknames be confubing
side note, yes my camera lens glass needs to be cleaned. no i dont care.... ok maybe i care a little cause you cant see anything on pc discord. š§
fr though
i would honestly just say go ahead and take your whole pc apart and try building it again. you probably have things plugged in the wrong places. or it could be as simple as a software compatibility issue.
iGPU may be disabled by default when you installed discrete graphics cards. you should be able to enable it in BIOS
thats the thing
i enabled integrated graphics
i set it to force and then gave it 64m
and thats it
am i supposed to do anything else?
i havent seen any tutorials on my specific motherboard and they all just do the same thing
nothing needs to be done as far as I'm aware
well poop.
are you sure the connected display/device was set to the right input?
ok so i tried it with my projector
i put it in the hdmi port on my motherboard
and i started it up but it didnt display anything
and when i go into settings it doesnt detect another monitor
then i tried it with my main monitor which is hdmi
and it just goes to sleep with no detection
also
when i just checked device manager
code 43 this device has stopped working
which is amd radeon graphics
its under display adapters
did you try installing radeon drivers
you might have defective integrated graphics
try removing the graphics card and see if anything displays
bots dont like you using profanity either
i thought this was an adult server!!!!!!!

This is a company server
I mean... you don't really seem like an adult
its weird how companies and/or people seem to think that children aren't out here in the real world dropping the f bomb every 5 seconds so they hide in imagination land and censor it on the internet to "protect" them.
I don't make the rules
i know. just sayin in general
in any case, I also think it's a good idea to verify that your iGPU is working to begin with
It shouldnt be a problem to respect the rules of another entity's community server and just not swear.
and how would i do that?
not weird at all
my daughter dropped the f bomb when she was 4. last time she said it in front of me though. i know she still says it. shes 7 now.
Lmao even profanity factories like my girlfriend avoid that stuff when around kids
like mushroom said, remove the discrete GPUs
damn, well ill try that before i get the new monitor
code 43 usually indicates a failure to install drivers, not something you want to see on your gpu
usually either a hardware fault or a vbios fault
why is there 2 mrmaniac's? thats sus.
but you're using integrated graphics so there is no vbios
cant i try setting my main graphics to the integrated?
I've only gotten code 43 on failed vbios flashes or on a 5700xt with dead memory
its on PEG right now
you can try it
alright
Ok so
It worked
Now my monitor is displaying
Its in my motherboarf
So it is infact working
maybe it's a bios issue
maybe
is it updated to latest bios
how can i check
type dxdiag into windows search and hit enter
will display bios version somewhere on there
check against motherboard website
it just says DEFAULT SYSTEM BIOS
as if i know how
the motherboard website will have a guide on it
right now its version 1.0
I'm using the pc for improving the graphics of an oculus quest 2, playing other vr games on steam and pc games on steam. my current monitor is 1080 and 60hz, so I will likely upgrade that as well. Would like to stay under 700-800 for the pc if possible.
alright you're banned
Sorry, U.S.A.
does your budget of 700-800 include or exclude monitor
exclude
any preference for storage capacity
i'm having a tough time understanding this one. you want to run vr on a budget of less than 1k? a good graphics card doing what you want for vr is going to cost your whole budget, wont it?. šµāš«
it's more doable than you think
if my budget is off, it's because I lack the experience doing this. I don't need top of the line, just sufficient for my needs. I won't be doing anything other than gaming
$800 is 6650xt territory
if it's not possible, I'm open to shopping around for parts and/or buying refurbished
if you can increase your budget, I would recommend it, but if $800 is what you can afford you can still get a decent experience with it
it's just at that part of the curve where performance gains are still quite large per dollar invested
what is the minimum investment before you start to see diminishing returns, based on my needs?
probably around $1300 tbh if you're open to used graphics cards (around used 3080 range)
so about double the performance of an all new $750 6650xt pc
I can adapt my budget. wasn't sure what it would require. would like to do it right, but have no need for extras
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6650 XT, DIYPC MA08 MicroATX Mini Tower
here's an example
the 3080 i juxst bought i got at a good deal considering the cost of all the others and it works great.
gonna be an ugly lad but it'll crank out frames for cheap
Thank you, I appreciate your time
fs
Would the parts list be the same with the 3080?
3080 is expensive. its like 200 or more over your budget or right at the full amount of your budget, not including tax. depending which you get.
ok, I misunderstood you. I thought you meant that it would be around $1300 for a build using the 3080
you can build a pc for cheap. the bulk of your expense is going to be the graphics card
this is the cheapest 3080 you can get thats brand new that i was able to find when i bought mine.
https://www.newegg.com/yeston-geforce-rtx-3080-rtx3080-10g-d6x-ya/p/1FT-007N-00071
Do you know the specs of your existing computer?
might be able to re use some of it
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz AMD Radeon HD 7500 8 GB RAM
ahh
yeah...
probably not much to reuse
do you know the model of the power supply and case?
trying to locate it
you wont find it in windows. you gotta open it up and look at it and the wattage of your power supply
gotcha. this is a dinosaur. I'll check that tonight, but figured I would have to start from scratch with everything
you most likely will, but can't hurt to check
rather make sure than possibly get rid of a useful part
thank you for taking the time to help
anytime
if you can reuse your power supply it'll save you a couple hundred
what do you mean what?
a power supply is $100 for an A tier 750, $130 for an 850, 150 for a 1000
not hundreds
if he can reuse the power supply then he wont have to buy a new one.
the fact thats in stock annoys me because it wasn't in stock when i was looking at them
i paid 130 for mine and thats before tax
I got my rmx 650 for $65 iirc
and my gt 850 for $50
(and my bq 750 for $150, but I didn't know anything about pcs when I bought that and got lied to by a local pc shop)
i got my rm850x for around 80 i think
Reservoir pump and fans arrived
Part List - Intel Core i5-13400F, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Is there anything I can cut back on or improve on?
Mostly looking for a good price to performance ratio
Would like to maintain a good look too
1300 is a very realistic price for a build with a used 3080
I recently did a build with a used 3090 for 1200
Hmmmm
Oh my bad
Me?
yes
3600 is not guaranteed to run in gear 1 due to restrictions on system agent voltage for non-K cpus
Well the kit I put in there I would only be saving $4 if I went down to 3200Mhz
and 3200 gear 1 is far superior to 3600 gear 2
What if I went and did a 12600KF?
honestly decent option, it's pretty much the same price as the 13400f
Would I be loosing much if I went with an older generation CPU and would I be able to find a cheaper and better motherboard?
13400F is basically just a 12600KF rebrand without the K
it uses alder lake silicon
so you're not really getting an older generation chip
Alright, what about a motherboard, should I stick with what I have in the list or go with something else?
you could go b660/z690 with no issue
Does this come with wifi?
no
Either of these?
also no
look for wifi, ax or ac in the name
of none of those are there it doesnt
depends on sales
usually not
Is solid for the price?
This is $140, I spent $120 on my DS3H
This was my initial plan for the 13400F
But I'm thinking this
@stoic island
@mossy venture, are there any other boards that have the heatsink and have wifi that would be cheaper?
Actually, mr1111 mentioned this
okay i have a task that i shall give to someone who wants to
i would like 3 separate build with different budgets
$900
$1200
$2000
What for though?
Gaming, steaming, editing?
gaming
All brand new parts?
Hmmmm, someone might have to help you with that
I'm only working on my second build š
youāre good man iām doing it for a group of friends those were there budgets
they can go $100 over their budgets but would prefer not to
Nah I can understand, saving where you can is preferred
what is the best gpu the asus b450 m motherboard can support
either the rtx 4090 or the rtx 6000 ada depending on your definition of best
(motherboard is usually not a significant limiting factor in gpu choice)
I highly suggest 12400(F) instead which is only 100-200mhz lower but $50+ savings. That's unless the 13th gen Ecores are really put to use
Does your monitor have a displayport
its okay i fixed it
They tend to be good from what I hear
My Lenovo OEM PSU was FSP and it died af 5 years in tho so idk

Nvidia RTX 4090ti super
Intel i9 139000KS3D
500 Gb Ddr5 9999hz CL 0.0001 memory
30TB PCIE gen 5 ssd
2000 Watt Quantum rated PSU
This is a good point to start at for ur budget build

Either works
How hard would it be to transfer my current computer into a new case with a new cooler and fans?
Considering doing it for the funzies.
Cables.
That's the only big issue lol
Are you willing to refigure out a good way to route those cables?
Mhmm, I never did a PC from scratch before so this would be interesting and I would get a hell of a show piece out of it so why not.
xD my current system is gonna like tiny inside the Fractal Torrent.
Almost anything looks tiny inside the Torrent
A 4090 looks practically average sized
is 3 inches average?
Yeah lmao.
I had to mod my desk just to fit it under my desk
Currently saving up for the Mobo then gonna get the CPU for my PC upgrade.
All goes well if I win the eSports tournament I am partaking in tomorrow I will have enough to pay for my PC upgrade.
A 3 inch thick GPU? No that would be above average
I feel a that's what she said joke somewhere
lmao
nah like in girth
that's thickness of the gpu yes
3 inch is above average for gpus
a 3 inch long gpu however is small
tiny actually
nah im meaning for the heat pipes
That would be a very thick and very ineffective heat pipe
^
A vapor chamber on the other hand, that would be about right
alr bro ty, twitter says itās too small
The empire state building is too small for Twitter, ignore them
I mean it depends on the person š¤·š¾āāļø
Get Newegg to deliver my Uber eats 20 dollar gift card I ordered 4 hours ago
e gift card btw
not physical
it should be here
my friends should be enjoying their food right now
instead their not because new egg wont send it even though it takes 1-3 hours according to the website
and they still havent sent it š¤·āāļø
No one here works for newegg
And even if they did business hours ended 6 hours ago
So no one can help you right now lol
a friend of mine sent me this
when i asked why 4 dimms he said he wanted to fill all the mobo ram slots
I don't think that's the thing you should be asking about lol
At least get the Corsair fake ones to fill in the gaps
If they don't make Patriot Viper 3 dummy sticks (they don't) then I'm not buying
anyone know how to fix windows screen saver? i have it set to 1 min and its not turning on. i've restarted my pc 5 times today and did a full reboot. gone through all settings, logged in and out of microsoft, checked drivers, ect. and still nothing.
ive gone through this entire list
https://windowsreport.com/windows-11-screensaver-not-working/
Wait I just realized... That board doesn't even have flashback so they'll have to update bios before installing the 13100 anyway
Just get a 12100
It only gets worse the more you think about it...
no one knows?
Sadly that's one of many things M$ has broken. My computer doesn't even sleep, shut down, or restart any more, I have to go into the advanced boot menu to shut down.
Pretty much everything I would suggest is on that page.
Well, everything short of a PC reset
thats whats about to happen cause my msi center app isnt even working anymore
system restore worked without having to go to a reset
found the cause of it. it's the epic games launcher thats preventing a screen saver from being used
damn epic games

Hay does anyone know weāre the 2 small cables of the corsair h100x rgb elite go
Picture?
It doesnāt let me upload pictures
Upload to a 3rd party site
Thanks
Hello everyone, I am a new PC builder and I put together a parts list after doing some research. I was hoping someone could confirm that 1. All parts are compatible 2. If I'm missing anything that is needed. Thanks for shedding light I'll post the components next
What's your budget for the whole pc?
Do you need peripherals too? I can help you make a list
CPU: I5 13400f
Mobo: Asrock b760m pro rs
Ram: 2x 8 gb ddr4 3200
GXS CRD: 51Risc AMD Radeon RX 580 DirectX 12 RX580 8G
Case: Thermaltake S100 Tempered Glass Black Edition Micro-ATX
PSU: CORSAIR CX-M CX650M 650w
Memory: Team Group MP33 M.2 2280 512GB PCIe 3.0 x4 with NVMe 1.3 d
Sorry for delay had a meeting
Thanks foxy! Yes please. My budget is sub 700 with a little wiggle room
PC only?
Also I would say the parts list is pretty flawed. I'll put together something better for you in a bit
Ok TY. @obsidian wigeon
I do mostly office work. Not really gaming but I want graphics card for multiple ports and less lag because of displays. Thank you for you input
@ashen oracle https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XzGb3y
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Fractal Design Focus 2 RGB ATX Mid Tower
You can bump ssd down to 512 gigs variant to save money
This looks good. This is better than what I had ? Also do I need to do something with the bios?
My 2nd pc just started randomly doing vga cpu dram
And I tried taking out the cpu putting it back in ram
And the cpu cooler just turns off
wouldnāt recommend this board
lacks bios flashback, would be a gamble
rx 6650xt would offer you over double the performance of the rx 580
Although depending on office work it really might not matter
When I take ram out the cpu fan doesnāt turn off and it just shows dram light
Both ram sticks
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Fractal Design Focus 2 RGB ATX Mid Tower
ah I didnāt see it was for office work
Part List - Intel Core i3-12100, Fractal Design Focus 2 RGB ATX Mid Tower
Iād suggest this
drives 3 displays (2 displayport, 1 hdmi) without a graphics card
case is whatever really
@ashen oracle
Could grab a gt710 or similar
can even get the 12100 to drive 4 displays with a different board
but may have to have some older connectors involved
Part List - Intel Core i3-12100, Fractal Design Focus 2 RGB ATX Mid Tower
hereās a board thatāll do 4 displays off of igpu but with some older connectors
will the U12S be enough for a 7700x in a open air case
Thanks this is good information. I'm a little overwhelmed though. So i wouldn't benefit from a newer processor i5 13400f? I don't mind the extra$ also, no GFX card. I thought that helps take stress off CPU? And that MOBO, does it have wifi? I kinda wanted the wifi. My original setup, what was off? Sorry for 101question I just wanna make sure I get it right
it does have wifi 6
modern i3s have gotten a lot more powerful
you wonāt need better for office work
running many monitors off of igpu doesnāt cause any significant āstressā to the cpu
if you donāt mind paying more for fun then go ahead and buy an i5, but the i3 will already be overkill for anything that can really be called just office work
youād be better off investing in more storage, better cooler for quiet, or whatever
you only need a graphics card if you need more than 3-4 monitors
i5-13400f doesn't have integrated graphics, so that would force you to buy a graphics card that wouldn't really benefit you
you'd be looking at non-F cpus to have integrated graphics
buying a graphics card would really just inflate your power bill as they're a lot less power efficient compared to integrated graphics
also another point of failure, the rx 580 you wanted to buy is 7 years old
Looking for a blender build this what i came up with let me know suggestions
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3ynyhk
Part List - Intel Core i3-13100F, Radeon RX 6600, Antec VSK3000B U3 MicroATX Mini Tower
Thanks for the info, I will take that all into account. I appreciate the help and I will mor than likely go this route. Thanks for the time
np, good luck
@earnest olive one more thing, what else would you suggest to totally complete this build top to bottom or is that all there? Do I need fans? Is AIO cooler necessary?
Anything at all
no, get a cheap air cooler if you want, aio is overkill
Part List - Intel Core i3-12100, Fractal Design Focus 2 RGB ATX Mid Tower
Ok I'm going to order this stuff right now
upgraded cooler is already optional, stock cooler is good enough
I C
Ohh! You mentioned extra memory which one? How much?
I basically run zoom with anywhere from 10 to 15 internet pages up that I have to move through for the client to see along with a Google presentation. That's what I use it mainly for and some video editing.
32gb should be enough to start, if you do a significant amount of video editing, you can upgrade the CPU in the list to a 12400
hey guys, the copper thing on my 12100F has a little dark spot, like its stained
should I have any concern

Send a pic
I wouldn't be too concerned. Try wiping it off (only the little dark bits) and maybe use your own thermal paste if you have it
I'm guessing it's leftover from whatever process they used to make the rest of the cooler black
Don't be too concerned
Guys guys the parts came in
And they are soo pretty
Sooooooo pretty
I donāt have a gpu or psu that matches yet, but I will soon
Can someone help my second pc goes to vga, cpu, dram and just keeps on doing it
Reseated cpu
and took out ram
And put it back in
Nothing works
But with no ram at all it just does the dram light
Looking for recommendations for a 1440p gaming monitor. 144hz or above. Budget around 350CAD, but I can go a bit over if you can convince me.
Does the CPU have integrated graphics? Try without the GPU if it does, or if it doesn't try another GPU or another slot
This is perfect. Thanks.
I did itās a ryzen 7 3700 pro
if you upgrade m.2s but the board only has 1 m.2 slot how do you transfer the data
3rd drive i believe
use an NVMe SSD enclosure
this msi center program is starting to annoy tf outta me
theyāre relatively cheap on Amazon
do those connect to sata or usb?
USB
Can someone make me like the best pc for 2k in pcpp?
Like high res and high settings gaming no rtx
Including monitor and peripherals or just the PC?
USA?
Just the pc and USA
Need any extras like wifi?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Could probably change a few things like case, RAM, and PSU but there's a rough idea
7900XTX is roughly equal to the 4080 for $200 less
Thanks
No, just read it
I'd get the phanteks g360a unless they don't want rgb fans or something
Guys I'm ordering my pc case, which one would you buy (all of em are xpg
)
- Valor air (4 fans no rgb)
- Starker air (1 rgb fan)
- Invader (1 fan no rgb)
- Defender (3 fans no rgb)
price is around the same ($60-80)
I'd buy the 360a if it was available in my country but it isn't
Archon is what I'm thinking of
If mx330-g air is like, 50 I'd consider it over starker air
Archon I'd probably take over starker tho
Mesh version obv
hmm that's true
Starker air is a bit nicer but shorter and not as great airflow
It's from like, the earlier airflow days where printed patterns and colour were still trendy
well my setup won't heat much tho, it's an i3 and a 2060
Even still, it's worth noting for something more useful down the line
would it still be fine if I upgrade the cpu/gpu later?
like idk, a 13600k and a 3060ti for example
I say there isn't such a thing as futureproofing, but a good box definitely goes a long way
Yeah for sure
Both are decent but imo I'd probably go archon
otherwise i'll have to buy another one
If you prefer the starker look then sure but that case is def short
Big GPUs won't fit
short as in airflow short? or short short
oh
Ye
It's in that size where like, 300mm gpus are about as big as it gets
Before you need to make weird compromises
Like slim fans or no fans in the front kekw
Hmm guess this one is a bit longer than 220t
320 fits before weirdness
Biggest would be a 3090 strix or a 4090 suprim liquid in a starker air probably
Founders maybe
But founders have the flowthrough design
I'll buy an exhaust fan tho
currently have a i5 9400f looking to upgrade what should i get on a 300$ budget
^looking to go amd
You in the us?
yea
will be paired with a 2060
i just want a better cpu because i mostly only play valorant
Going current gen AMD is probably going to be impossible for 300$, since ddr5 only, what ram do you have now?
Hey I'm really new to pc building and I'm installing a Deepcool ag620 argb. I'm a bit confused on how the wiring works so could someone walk me through that
To start, you'll want to differentiate between 4 pin pwm and 3 pin argb.
For the 2x 4 pin pwm connectors from the 2 fans, there is a splitter from the box, connect each connector from the fan into the splitter, and the other end of the splitter into cpu_fan on your motherboard
For the 3 pin argb, it's daisychainned, so you plug the connector from one fan into the other fan, and from the other fan into the motherboard. The header goes by many names, a_rgb, d_rgb, you might need to consult your manual, the important thing is that the header has to be only 3 pins, 4 pin rgb is completely different and incompatible.
What's your current ram btw?
Okay that's a huge help thank you
I'll update you if I get everything plugged properly
So I plug the daisy chained 3 pin thing into this?
anyone know why for no reason my pc wants to run roblox at a max of 28 fps ;-;
Yes
Alright thanks you
Hay anyone know weāre I can get a side glass panel for the Corsair 4000d airflow
With or without a fps unlocker
Best to contact Corsair support for one, looked like they were out of stock on their store
I hate this, the shop that has the psu in stock, does not have the case I want in stock
and the shop that has the case, does not have the psu!
how bad is tthat xpg valor air?
On Intel side, could glance at 12400(F) & mobo maybe b660m aorus pro. AX after the name would mean wifi btw.
Both
is a viewsonic omni 1440p 144hz IPS panel monitor good for $130
I recommend asking in #old-monitors-and-tv
oh sry
Can one of yāall put together a build?
Took like 3 weeks for them to send a singular fan, all the way from china. finally comes today and its faulty š (99% sure its the fan, tried bunch of diff connectors and it always flickers with random rgb colors) Sadge
Lmk if that looks like something that can be fixed
When I set all the fans rgb to off, it goes off like the rest but it still flickers random colors
looks dope
Use case, budget, and region.
Yea 1500 US
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K, Radeon RX 6900 XT
Iām pretty sure the gpu and cpu arenāt the best balance for the budget
But u can just change it and I didnāt put a case but Iād get an airflow one
U could downgrade the cpu and change the mobo for a better gpu
ispy in build pics
so like.. buy used.. if doesn't work or breaks.. return..get new one?
š
noice
Shouldnāt u just downgrade the cpu to a non k?
13400/f isn't a meaningful bottleneck for a 6900xt
so i would recommend it yeah
did a similar-ish build with a 13400f + b660 + 3090 recently, was perfect
I use Ć 10700k and a 3090 at 1080p lol
Itās doe fine without much bottle neck so I think itāll be fine
that's probably a pretty significant bottleneck in some games
depends on the game though
It does in the games that arenāt really graphic
But I usally turn on the graphics to max on all of my games
But I get like 500 fps in overwatch, kinda pointless tho
13400f is a much stronger gaming cpu than 10700K so won't be an issue
