Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, Phanteks EVOLV SHIFT XT Mini ITX Desktop
I decided to go single aio which is on the GPU and gonna limit the CPU power to be safe
Actually wait
That'd work, I'd probably get the ssupd meshilicious, phanteks p200a or cooler master nr200(p) then personally
@haughty void also check out the jonsbo i100 pro
I just remembered this one about an hour ago
it fits a 360 rad
and an atx psu, and a full size gpu
this would allow us to use a larger cooler

if i still use sfx psu
it keeps the tolerences perfect
this is aircooler way
basically this would work perfect... i could also verticle mount the gpu
then less strain on the tubes
i dont need 360mm but its always better to have larger space
other issue
i only see it going for 279
ya little catch xD
whats the catch
the price
Is 47°C on idle for a 4.9ghz 8 core i7-9700k decent?
cos you made me want one too

shhh
Just replaced my motherboard and can’t get the system to post
Or at least the indication lights are not illuminating
What mobo did you have and what mobo did you get
And what cpu
I'd make sure mobo and cpu power are fully plugged in
Went from a z490 asus strix to a z590 asus strix
Shouldn't be and compatibility issues then
I also changed cpu i7 10700kf to i9 11900kf
I'd check all connections, cpu contact, and socket pins
Also could put the 10700kf in and see if it boots
Ok
Contacts look good socket looks good going to try the old cpu
I don’t need the cpu cool to try and get it to post right?
Hate to waste the paste
@mossy venture
No
Looks like it is posting at the moment with the old cpu
Ok going to try the new cpu again
Hello!
Ugh this looks to be the case no posting again
All my lights light up and fan run but nothing in the posting lights
If the mobo has bios flash, could try flashing bios
Or updating bios with 10700 in
First thing I tried with the flashback button
I even confirmed the version was updated when I got into the bios with the 10700
I can’t even return it to Newegg cause I already threw the box away
Could it be my ram
I’m not seeing my slower mhz ram listed as support so maybe the ram?
@mossy venture
@cyan ravine I hope today when I get home and get on my PC I don't have anymore stutters
Last night the audio bitrate change seemed to help a lot
Only thing that happened that was weird to me was that when I got on Apex legends my audio went higher pitched but I also didn't restart my PC before after changing the bit rate plus the game started in a lower resolution which I figured one of those two things caused it
That's not the issue
If it boots with the 10700 and not the 11900, it's either faulty cpu or wrong bios version
Afaik anyways, if anyone believes otherwise please correct me
Has to be the cpu cause I triple check the bios version with the 10700 and it’s reporting as the latest on when compared to the Asus website on another computer
ppl that have built in sff, any recc's on cable managament? so little room
z590 should work with 11900K on any bios
so if it's not booting with the 11900K you have a different issue than bios
you should just return the cpu and the board and get an i5-13400F + B760 board anyways
no point buying a new z590 board to upgrade to an 11900K
@austere jungle
I thought so, but wasn't sure
Wasn't sure if maybe intel did a weird and released the 11900k after other 11th gen
intel releases K skus first
but even though, for example, the 13400F came out after B760 boards
the release bios for B760 already contains microcode to boot the cpus
because of course the manufacturers know it's coming before it's available to buy
so yeah something's faulty
you should definitely never try to post with no cooler though
if wasting paste is the concern just mount the cooler with no paste
I mean you can do it and it might work
but you shouldn't
20 seconds is surprising
totally
would expect less than 1 second
yeah that definetly fry an i9
and it's an asus board so auto cpu voltage will probably be 12V
tbh wouldn't be surprised if auto was >1.5v under light load
I had a 10700f in a strix z490-g that did 1.45v auto for just 4.6ghz on a locked cpu
@earnest olivehelp lol
@austere condor any idea why my audio is for some reason high pitched now?
I changed my bitrate cause a slightly higher bit rate was causing my pc to stutter on specific games
any cheap´and good cooler under 30$
@obsidian wigeon good person would you know the cause of all of my audio going high pitched when I open a game or join discord?
youtube on it's own is fine but when I open a game it goes high
Hi! Does anyone know of a mini-PC motherboard (or a mini PC) with 2 independent NICs? I need to connect to 2 separate networks; one is a software VLAN and the other is a local LAN. I need to stop AnyConnect software VPN from taking over my local network communications. If PC: Budget is ~$1500, minimum of 13th gen i3, Itx form factor is ideal but matx ok. Ok if only an extra pcie slot that I can add another (independent) NIC. - thanks for help!
@cyan ravine the bitrate didn't exactly fix things afterall
I updated my drivers cause they were out of date after I changed the bitrate for some reason and then rocket league was down to 60-70 fps and there was this weird line near the top of my screen
I changed it back to 48000 cause it's playable and only stuttered once during game and hasn't since then
someones help would be great ngl
I just switched to my 1060 and updated drivers and nothing is wrong now it seems thus far
my 2nd monitor isn't lagging with any games so far
i would like to help but i know next to nothing about audio 😦 hopefully someone will help you on that matter 😦
oh
my 1060 is working perfectly fine thus far
as good as a 1060 will lol but still
my headphones aren't showing up but that's driver related
the audio hasn't cut out nor my pc stutter and when playing games my 2nd monitor is fine
doesn't hurt to rma the gpu
hopefully things good smoothly regarding that
bruh pinged 4 people 💀
I wonder why lmao
almost like I'm on a time crunch when it comes to the RMA cause I don't know about having a warranty for it
also those 4 people knew the situation and no one answered
@earnest olive
sorry I'm too busy with my 110 hour work week to provide free tech support on call 24/7
lol
@leaden mauve
what ic is that

what are you running it at
tbh mushroom
is this what you're gonna beat my ddr4 with
my problems are more important than your life LL
already did
post aida
i did whenever i have the energy to bench again lol

Is there anything else you need it to do? It can be pretty simple and cheap if you just need some pcie slots for nics
guys
my 6800 xt just black screened
and then came back on
i had beamng drive running
and it said i had a drive timeout?
im gonna update my drivers in a few
will it be fine or do i need to do anything?
well is my monitor black screening common?
It will be fine just reinstall drivers
and then i get a message from amd drivers that say they timed out
Are you overclocked?
nope
One sec I've been using older drivers lately and haven't had issues
Download the all-new AMD Software Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.9.5 driver downloads....
Try these
The new one has issues for wtv reason
wtv?
whatever
ok
Lol
its working rn but ill stress test and then i might install the older drivers
Rommys* xD
Nah you get the 3090 yet tho ?
No its fine your gpu is only at 45c
or like that
well its a stress test
It's not boosting
?
should i change min. clock
No just leave at default for now
ok
I want to make sure there's nothing wrong with the gpu
Oh? Just anything relatively demanding
Yea that works lol
I want you to turn amds overlay on or msi afterburner if you have it
And tell me the gpu clockspeed
Because it should have been going higher in the stress test
But wasn't
Yea that works
ok
what happened to my pc
like
my desktop shortcuts are all moved around
fh5 is optimizing for my pc again
idk what else
Just right click and press sort lol
ty but why did it do that after it blackscreened?
Honestly not sure lol
Oh boy
never happened before
Try the drivers I sent
i will
my gpu has been working fine
its just weird
\
@paper summit
also it started when i was watching a yt video
should i try to do that again and see what happens?
That wouldn't make a difference
I honestly dont know why it just stops boosting
im gonna try watching a yt video and see if it crashes
brb
so far nothing has happened
could it be hardware acceleration?
ok
so what should i do
im still on the most recent amd drivers
should i use the ones you sent?
any techies awake or nah
sure :)
my pc once again stuttered on rocket league I'm thinking at this point it's a power issue mobo issue or rocket league issue or flipping power issue idek
basically I took my 6700xt out cause I thought it was causing this and did some other things @leaden mauve
using a 1060 now and I ddued it
thing is with my 6700xt I was having another issue as well that when I'd play a game my 2nd monitor would lag really badly
so I'm rmaing it but I'm thinking either something is wrong with rl specifically which would be nice or there's another problem
I'm hoping it's just an rl problem because this has been plaguing me for days
No sorry there to busy dealing with there life issues
ok
So both gpus lag in rocket league but your 6700xt also makes secondary monitor laggy
Have you tried different cablez??
no but that doesn't have to do with my whole pc lagging I don't think
maybe with the 2nd monitor on the 6700xt? tho that doesn't make much sense either?
doesn't make sense that it'd only happen when a game is on tho
Well if both gpus are lagging in game 2 options 1. Both gpis are faulty 2. Something else is broken
my 1060 isn't faulty I don't think lol
Well games are resource intensive Sometimes so it would pull every last but it needs
rocket league isn't very intensive
less than 50% gpu and cpu used generally since I have it capped at 240
which is normal for rl
Habe you tried any other games
yea I tried brawlhalla earlier with the 6700xt and it did it once
it could be a lot of different things kenzi
I'm leaning towards cpu or psu cause those are the only other 2 things I changed\
What cpu% in games
it depends on the game
Also what are your specs and power supply
650w enermax psu and 5600x cpu
Are you running 1080p
yea Fish and falcie and some others all said those parts were good
one of the 3 parts is faulty or I need to reinstall windows
gpu seems to not be the issue I guess?
at least not the issue with the pc stutters
still gonna rma my 6700 cause of the other issues it's having might as well
for some reason tho switching gpus the stutter has hardly happened
it seems to only happen once
probably a reinstall of rl would fix maybe the gpu was just causing it and it's kinda messed up something in rl
is this the right crystaldisk place? the installer only shows up in vista???
it is
Do not the thing unless you know it has a use for you
rommy always has a use
Hey
I need a server build
For office
Hey get me a server build usd budget like 20000.Office server can handle almost 200 computer at a time without lag
Just buy 200 computers
Sounds like a troll to me
Yeah I agree with Foxy.
No one would be asking for discord advice when they're buying for a company
Got my stock GPU cooler back on
PS 120 SE is an overkill for an i3? planning on upgrading later to a 13400-13600k
Would def be overkill for an i3, but fine with a 13400/13600k, as long as they fixed the contact issues from the pa120 se
Considering it's relatively cheap, it's fine to buy for an i3 with the plan to upgrade in the future
would you recommend anything else in the same price range?
Not like overkill cooling is a bad thing
Save the money lmao
Alright go ahead then
Alright go ahead and don't not do buy not the don't buy the unify

Fair warning... this is my first build and I am green still to the tech world. Just purchased rog strix z960e with an intel i9 12th gen. I put my old intel DTC-DAA18 cpu fan on my new rig. At BIOS cpu temp is 88 celcius (hot af) I am unsure if I need to change settings around in BIOS or purchase a new cpu fan, due to my old one possibly being incompatible. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Not a clue what that cooler is, but if it's as old as it sounds it is nowhere near enough for the 12900k
Not to mention that 12900k is terrible value, 13600k is almost always cheaper while having the same performance
Better gaming perf, iirc
If you can return the 12900k I would, then buy a 13600k and ag620 cooler
that’s an old intel stock cooler that doesn’t even mount into lga1700 I think
That's what I figured, I tried googling dtc-daa18 and nothing came up
does the ag400 handles a 13600K
K
I would go ag620
At a minimum
Or thermalright peerless assassin non se
The 120
Dual towers can handle one but barely
what's the diff between dual tower cooler and a single tower one?
Dual tower is a lot better in most scenarios
The pa120 will definitely be fine on a 13600k for gaming, multi core loads would he borderline
Pa120 is also barely any more over an ag400 as well iirc
Note: not the SE one
I'll say it twice
Different coldplate shape makes it less suitable for lga1700
The se has contact issues on lga 1700
I can't find proper reviews since it's "new"
I would wait for reviews if it's a new one
It's just a slightly better pa120 se
Literally identical aside from an extra heat pipe
hmm so probably has the same contact issues?
Possible
I would imagine yes
Fc140 is sometimes on sale and I believe that doesn't have the same contact issues
It's enough for the 13100 and 13400
The 13600k and up dont come with one because it is nowhere near enough
What does fc stand for anyway
I mean it's not like an i3 would explode but it would be shameful that it gets throttled
Fearless crustacean?
same cooler for 12th gen, right?
Believe so yeah
Wouldn't be any less accepted than Peerless Assassin
Phantom spirit is a cool name tho
They're all weird names lol
See??
Ok fish fungers
Lmao
lol
@cyan ravineIt's still doing the stutter a single time on rocket league after reinstalling
maybe windows needs done I guess
Which pc do you guys recommend that can handle world of Warcraft well that’s all I play on pc
You could get away with a PC utilizing a 1080 or better. 16gb RAM and any CPU better than a 5th gen.. That being said.. I'd go for a i3-12100/cheap mobo combo. 16gb RAM and the cheapest GPU that's a 1080 or above.
can get a 12100/mobo for sub $200. a cheap kit of 16gb ddr4 for around $50 (unless you have ddr4 in your PC already, just use that) and for the GPU.. idk prices that well.
Oh also, if you don't have an NVME SSD, then I'd def suggest grabbing one. You can grab a MP33 512gb for $32 or a 1tb for $55. There might be better value ones atm, but the last I knew the 1tb was the bee knees for price/perf.
If you have a PC already.. Put together a list in https://pcpartpicker.com/ with what you have (if you know what you have) and someone here can put together an upgrade list for you for the lowest cost at current prices. If you are planning on waiting more than a month before you get anything.. then ask more around that time as part prices fluctuate daily... sometimes hourly.
i3 won't throttle under stock cooler unless you mounted it wrong
locked i5 is also fine but a bit loud
is 10400f and 2060 going to run hogwarts legacy fine?
yea
Good place to ask cable management?
yes
I’m tryna get the back of my pc way cleaner but the hdmi come out the bottom and the usb and all that is near the top
Does this look good?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Thermaltake Core V71 TG ATX Full Tower
What parts would make it better?
Mobo is overpriced and since you have the sn770 as a boot drive I'd just get a cheaper ssd than the 970 Evo plus, like the mp33, mp34, 670p, etc
you want RGB i assume?
and wifi?
Alr
I'll be getting both Wifi & lan/ethernet. Reason why is because I may be moving in the next year.
But yea, some rgb would be nice.
do you want to overclock it or leave it stock?

👁️
Got a Z370m to replace my h370m
I've already got an i5 gen 12 12600k. Yes, I'm going to be over clocking.
GPU, I'm not sure what I'm getting. Could use a good opinion or suggestion on that. I want something to play 1080p, 144 to 165h on almost all games.
I'll also be using Blender, UE4 or 5, maybe Maya, Clip Studio, & etc.
A mix between gaming & working
If possible, I'll try to go get something that will get me 1440p
Id do this ( you don't really need a 6750xt it's a really high end card for that but it's good value, also you don't need another ssd but if you want more storage I'd juet get a team mp33 or if you want a faster drive the solidgrim p41 plus)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NbYGZw
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Thermaltake Core V71 TG ATX Full Tower
6750xt will do 1440p nicely
400 is actually a good price
hey guys, want to get a mac laptop which is of a very good configuration
i would want to connect 2 4K monitors with in and have a seamless experience
What's your budget?
You can get a used M1 Macbook Pro for $675 shipped
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9m3gXL/zotac-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-lhr-8-gb-gaming-twin-edge-oc-video-card-zt-a30610h-10mlhr is this a decent card?
@fossil cedar what you think
I'd get the 6750xt gigabyte instead, 10$ cheaper and performs like a 3070 outside of ray tracing
Can't do amd cards
Why not
I have a 6700xt I'm returning tomorrow because they just don't work with my pc
Reorxist had the same issue and it wasn't drivers nor card
Is it a good card or not
What did you try?
Ik the price isn't great
Pato I tried a lot of things and I'm not gonna continue trying more when I already got my return request approved
Yeah it's a drop in replacement for the 6700xt basically
Ok cool
Alright
CRYORIG H5 Ultimate 76 CFM CPU Cooler vs. Thermalright AXP120-X67 59 CFM CPU Cooler
Which would y'all recommend
Neither, the thermalright one is for itx ie small for factor and the other one isn't it's just very overpriced for what it is, what cpu and case are you using?
A mini-itx build@fossil cedar
I7-9700k, ASRock mini-itx board, and a BitFenix prodigy M
The prodigy is mitx but the prodigy m is itx do you know which one is it?
Any recommendations for a vertical gpu mount?
@fossil cedar prodigy M 2022 specifically. And I'm using a micro-atx board that is mini-itx sized
The prodigy M 2022 can use micro or itx
Okay
Both the deepcool ag620 and ak620 fit according to the specs on the bitfenix site so I'd just get the cheaper of those/whichever you like the look of more
yo is a 10th gen cpu still worth buying new, like a 10700k or 10900k, 10700k is around 260-280 usually 260, to pair with a 3070 or 3080 for cheaper ?
no
not whatsoever
the 13400f is better and cheaper
same with 12600k
almost never worth buying over one gen old cpu wise
and you can get a 13600kf for like 290
actually would go for this over the 13400f, at the current pricing https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Tk8bt6/intel-core-i5-12600kf-37-ghz-6-core-processor-bx8071512600kf
true
id get the 13400f so you can get a 214xt instead of having to go for like an ag620
ag500 at $40 should do the job
hmm i just thought it would still be good since 10th gen i7 has higher turbo than 12700k and base clocks too, plus they seem to be similar in performance, since im getting windows 10 instead of 11 dont know how well it works with that on 12th or 13th gen
3.6 base, 5.0 turbo on 12th gen i7 , 3.8 base, 5.1 turbo on 10700k, kinda strange
huh , i just though intel usually kept it same or increased it, since before they usually increased, but maybe the new architecture
new architecture yeah instructions per clock improvements
do 12th and 13th gen work well on windows 10 though since i want to run that
ive heard 5000 series and 10th gen worked better, im probably pairing it with a 3070 or up to 3080 gpu
the ones without e cores so the 12400f would be the highest
but id get a 5600 over a 12400
due to pricing
although honestly win 11 isnt much of a change
yea but i think that might bottleneck a 3080 maybe
i hated it originally but you can do a good few tweaks to make it more like win 10
but 5800x or 5900x seem to be good options
depends on what resolution, game and settings tbh
no they dont
why not
5800x3d, 5700x, or 5600 only am4 cpus worth their sand atm
they are reduced
difference between 5600 and 5900x in gaming is like maybe 10%
waste of money
youd be way better off with a 13600k
so it would work with windows 10 then? what kinda tweaks would have to be done
what resolution do you play on btw?
well it'd work but i am pretty sure they dont have the scheduler for e cores on windows 10 which means it would use the worse cores sometimes in gaming
but i meant you can make win 11 more like win11
what resolution is your monitor
i want to get 1440p 144hz
i play fps games as well
5600 would be fine
the x?
like during setup you can do shift f10 and type BYPASS\NRO and it will let you do local accounts
you can get the windows 10 right click back with a reg fix
i mean i was thinking of getting like a higher end am4 or even am5 one cause i can if i get some parts cheaper in my budget
around 1700 for the pc, maybe 1800 if needed
i dont have parts yet except an ssd but thats gonna be secondary storage cause it's sata
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
UK but the x and non x cpus here cost the same lol so thats nice at least
in us yall have 3080s for around 400 bucks, nice
new too
Oh that was a tiny handful
they had 3070 for 299 and 3080 for 420
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower
no we do not
there were like 5 at around 20 best buys country wide
(exageration, but point made)
oh only 5, thought it was a big restock, i saw this
but yeah i would want a FE card they look good, dk if they restocking them or making them still
this is what id do with your budget in the UK
could also do this, but imo I'd spend the bit extra for the 7600 build. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ThLQH2
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Phanteks Eclipse P400A Digital ATX Mid Tower
50 pounds for upgradability
id do this personally https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/WxdRmr
Part List - Intel Core i5-13400F, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
and if you needed wifi get the wifi version of that board
hmm pretty good option, not sure if am4 boards are still cheap or not
but intel is good value too
i think i'll watch some benchmarks and reviews to see how they perform
there is no restock, that was a clearance sale... once theyre gone... theyre gone
anyway those were sold out at the first few minutes.... probably they will appear on the second market being scalped
oh im in the uk so even if i did see it which i didnt, i probably couldnt have gotten one
no you couldnt have their collection only afaik
Does anyone know a way to elevate a case fan a few mm from the case? My bottom case fans rub against the case itself when it powers on
drilling new holes?
No, as in the fan blades rub against the case. They come into contact
Holes won't fix that
HEllo guys I need a pb for $800 without take or shipping can someone help?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dJsGZw
Thoughts?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GeForce RTX 3070 LHR, Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB ATX Mid Tower
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
For me? I like it! How are those Intel SSDs? Or doesn’t matter much?
Doesn't matter much, won't see a real perf difference
Noctua has anti vibration pads you put on the corners of the fans that elevate it a bit
Bonus with that is it's quiet too
https://www.rosewill.com/p/9SIA072HW30652 Question, but will this case I currently have fit an 3070ti-4070ti?
Depends on which model but your max gpu length is 350mm
I think its probably good enough to fit atleast an 4070ti from what I just searched up
Just make sure the model you get is less than 350mm and it'll fit
Most of them are so you're probably ok but double check
Or just cut the gpu in half
Fun fact, some of the models, the cooler is longer than the GPU board
Just go water cooling 😎👍
On a 70 card? Kinda no point tbh
4070 Ti's in particular are so overbuilt you're practically running better than water
Yep they were meant to be a 4080 until Nvidia realized how much backlash there was, so they mostly use the 4080 cooler.
From chat in gpu channel I'll mention I might go Win11 instead of 10 and fresh install it to P41, unless someone thinks OS should be on sn850x instead. W/ sn550 in adapter, I also possibly thought this:
It'll honestly make no difference to anything which gen 4 drive the OS is on
By chance b660 can boot from a pcie adapter? Although 550 could be a spare in another PC instead.
Try and get a heatsink for that sn850x
Cool. yea, it could either go in 1st slot under the mobo one, or 2nd slot w/ this one I had:
I wonder if gen 5 will make a difference
no
There's barely any difference in Windows load times between SATA and PCIe 4.0 already
Would any of you upgrade to a 13100f from 10400f and put a 4070ti on it
I wouldn't touch a 13100. It's just a 12100 with a fresh coat of paint and about 2% more fps.
12400 would be a great buy
If you're really hamstrung you could do a 5600 and prime b450m-A II
You could get away with a 4070Ti at 1440p...but barely
Definitely not worth doing either without 32gb ram
12400 would be the floor imo
You're a ceiling
So here is the issue I am having.
Changed some fans out and went with the Be Quiet light wings. Everything went in fine and then I discovered due to my older MB and GPU, I have no ARBG connection anywhere .
What can I do to remedy my issue, what hardware is recommended to be the RBG brains that will go with an old ASUS Sabertooth Z77
I believe the best you will be able to do is get an ARGB fan hub that will allow you to plug all the fans into and then then change the colors via a button.. You won't be able to change the individual LEDs on the fans though as it will be preset lighting modes since you won't be able to plug the hub into an ARGB header. The only remedy is going to be getting a motherboard that has one.
Be Quiet sent a hub with the fans but there is no controls on it. Would this just default into the “rbg puke” as I have heard it referred to but at least keep the fans in sync with each other, or would it simply not function as is?
Does the hub allow you to plug the ARGB cable of the fan into it?
Yes allows me to grab all the fans into it, and then SATA power. But the hub also has a RBG in port that would normally go to MB
Now that I'm thinking about it, there are a couple companies that have argb hubs that plug into your usb2 header.
Phanteks/Cooler Master and Razer have these hubs. Let me do a quick look and see which one has normal style ARGB connector ports
@native brook it seems that each of these only work with their own brands fans.
Hi i'm trying to install windows 10 on a build I just completed for a friend
i have the installation media on a usb, it's formatted correctly and everything
In the bios i select the usb to boot off of
when I reboot the pc off of the usb it just freezes on a black screen and no matter how long I wait nothing happens,
im trying to just get this done for my friend, but the internet is no help and i'm stuck
any ideas on what the problem is?
when i go into disk management, it says the health of the usb is still good so im unsure if I need to go buy another usb for installation
I believe you'll need to turn TPM off in the bios.
ok ill try that out ty
I turned off tpm and i'm still running into the same issue
@frigid night
Ok, disable secureboot as well
i did
Ok, what format is the USB?
No. How did you transfer the ISO over to the USB? Did you use Rufus or the Windows Media Creation Tool?
i used windows media creation tool
Hello. Okay. So. I have Cyberpower PC and my motherboard no longer works. I will turn on my PC... and it'll just continuously go on and off without booting. I read that that is a Motherboard problem and need to replace it.
So... I would like advice on a comparable motherboard to CyberpowerPC Z270 SLI Xtreme ATX w/ RGB, AC WiFi, USB 3.1, 2 PCIe x16, 4 PCIe x1, 6 SATA3, 1 U.2, 1 M.2 SATA/PCIe
I have intel i7 CPU, 36GB RAM, 800 watt Powersupply, a GeForce GTX 1070 8GB graphics card, and 500GB WD Blue SSD and 3TB harddrive.
I just want to be able to replace it and get back to gaming!
Sorry, I was on my way to work and it's been busy. Did you get it figured out?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/165943040270 this would work as a drop-in replacement, you'd need an additional wifi adapter if you need wifi
however, you should also consider just upgrading to a new platform instead of spending this much on a used board that could just die on you again, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sfzPk9 this would be a significant upgrade over your 7th gen i7 and you could sell your old cpu to make up some of the difference

Part List - Intel Core i3-12100F
Is it an i7 or i3? You gave me an i3 part list. And I want to keep my CPU if I can.
an i3-12100f is a significant upgrade over even an overclocked i7-7700K
you can (assuming it still works), just wanted to show you another option
Oh alright! That it good to know as a backup idea
and I believe my CPU is just fine
It's legit the motherboard itself
it is pretty rare for cpus to die
yeah exactly
for some reason 7700K is still going for ~$150 on ebay
Yeah.. same on Amazon
so if you bought that old z270 you'd be paying $70
if you sold your 7700K and bought the new platform you'd be paying $105 after tax and ebay seller fees
so $70 to stay on old platform with old motherboard vs. $105 to upgrade to a new platform with a better cpu and an upgrade path
i would choose $105 personally
the newer board will still support your current ddr4
maybe you could even get a 12400f and a b660
what they are trying to tell you is that is much more cost effective on price/performance to get a new current gen hardware (12/13th gen and new mobo) instead of trying to keep your old hardware
upgrading to an i5-12400f would bump up the total cost to 177

you kill them, thats an entirely other thing xD
skill issue
I just don't want to downgrade my CPU to an i3
it's not a downgrade at all
it's not a downgrade
I havent killed a CPU yet, just heavily degraded 2
i3-12100F is roughly competitive with i9-10900K in gaming
which is an i9 that's 3 generations newer than your current cpu
the 7700k is pretty old
don't look at the i3/i5/i7/i9 moniker too much
Huh wow. That's pretty impressive actually
it's pretty meaningless across generations
a 12th gen i3 will beat the crap out of an i7 from the 7th gen
cause different architecture
i'd take the opportunity to upgrade to a 12400f
whole 6 years difference
having a 6 core would really help in newer titles
here's an example of an i7 being 93% weaker than an i3
Okay.. so. If I upgraded to that... I would need a new i3 12th gen CPU and a compadible Motherboard
already linked compatible cpu/mobo in that pcpartpicker list
consider getting an i5
if you're someone that likes to keep your hardware for a while i would pay a little bit more for the i5-12400f
actually what's the gpu?
1070
oh
the i3-12100f is more than enough to keep up with the 1070
yeah a 6 core would definitely bump up the performance a lot
but the i5-12400f will take a gpu upgrade better
ehhh
i mean it depends on the game
i saw a pretty tame boost going from i3-12100 to i7-13700K @ 5.6 with a 3090 at sub 1080p resolutions lol
cyberpunk gained 15% at 835p
cold war gained 2% at 960p
the 1070 is going to bottleneck too much for i3 vs i5 to matter, but i5 is nice for a bit of longevity
it'll be basically 0% difference with the 1070
She/They and I don't want to upgrade that until it becomes completely obsolete
i mean
1070 is still a decent gpu for 1080p60
It probably already is. But I am tight on money atm
it is more cost effective to upgrade to an i3 + newer generation motherboard for when you do want to upgrade
nah
1070 isn't obsolete yet
it's kind of on the edge
of course, obsolete or not depends on what games you play
but it's hanging onto the edge of relevancy for games coming out today
I am actually more into older games than newer ones. Yes, there are a couple? I like? But not too many
if you keep playing the same games for 6 years then the 1070 is as relevant as the day it came out
I just downgraded from a 3090 to a 1070 myself
I don't have much time to game these days, I just play some social games with friends that the 1070 is more than capable of running at 1440p max settings
i play hoi4
as the smelly fish said, better to upgrade mobo+cpu instead on your rig. it will be far better in the long term for upgradeability
I think what I'm gonna do.. is get the i3 combo when I can. But then after I move, upgrade again
300hz monitor and a 3070 wasted on a map game
or maybe get the i5
that's gonna be better if you plan on upgrading the gpu
mushroom's i3 combo but swap out the i3 with an i5
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F
something like this
1650 and 1060 are still the most common GPUs used by gamers according to the Steam survey
what about 580 and 570
You can find the full results here for specifics https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam
580 is a little over 1%, 570 a little under
Hmm.. both those options are still beyond what I can afford right now. But I did save them for when I have a more steady income
Saving to move atm.. so I'm tight on money unfortunately
When you're closer to being ready to buy come back and we'll give you up to date recommendations. Prices change frequently.
Feel free to hang out til then too
Thank you! I may go with the Ebay Used Motherboard for now because it's more affordable to do a hot swap of my current CPU
But once I move and settled, then I am gonna go for the i5 combo
I would def go for used, could find a 6600 sub 175 fairly easily I'd imagine
I just wanna be able to play my games and stream again
By then A750 might be worth recommending too
I appreciate the help. I will be needing help getting all the hardware programmed into the newer motherboard
that part... I am not too familiar with
Imma a hardware person verses a software lmao
As for a wifi adaptor. Would a USB wifi port work? Or should I get something stronger?
A lot of motherboards come with wifi now
USB ones tend to overheat in my experience
I'd get a pcie wireless card.
pcie
This is the one I grabbed for one of my PCs and it works good.

Okay saved both of those, thank you
no worries
i put my answer in the software chat
but long story short i think theres an issue with the mobo because i swapped the mobo and cpu and had no issue with the install
budget is fine i think. i can reimburse. im looking for a 14 inch mac that has a lot of performance into it. min spec is 32gb + 8 core is what im looking for. and I want to use 2 4K monitors connected with my laptop..
i have a macbook pro 16 inch 32gb + 8 core cpu now that gets slow when i connect a single 4K monitor
hence i want to upgrade it to a machine which works great
follow the guide?
you can't cancel out noise without rtx voice anyway
it's up to the mic's capabilities if you don't have that on
I do cancel out noise with RTX??
And I should clarify;
How do I remove sibilance like this man did?
What mic you using
This might be a #peripherals-and-displays question btw
Sibilance?
Some mics are just beyond helping
But you can do a lot with noise suppression and voicemeeter
That vid is quite old they might be using old Rtx voice instead of newer Nvidia broadcast noise cancellation too
I'm using a Blue Yeti and a Q2U. What does peripheral mean? Yes, sibilance. I don't use Voicemeeter, and barely use Noise Suppression. I don't think the sibilance of his mic is the way it is because of RTX Voice, hence the post I made at the end; "Ignore the RTX Topic".
#peripherals-and-displays is a channel
People smarter there about this stuff
Blue yeti is an old mic unless it's a snowball
Iirc that can sound a little scuffed (been a while since I heard one)
So you want better plosives?
I'm not too familiar with a q2u
As in s alliteration I'm confused what tou mean by sibilance in terms of mics
Ah q2u is a second mic
Yeti is supposed to be better than the snowball
And q2u is supposed to be really good afaik
Oh yeti better than snowball? Ok
I think a step in the right direction is a mixer
If it's an older blue yeti tho...I wouldn't call those good by today's standards lol
Well I've a snowball and i remember the yeti being like twice the price when buying lol
My best guess is like, better muffling of the sound but still clear
If I remember what the yeti sounds like over USB
I see
can any one answer
it sounds like you've answered your own question
go buy a macbook, its not like you have any options
that being said, why a laptop if youre using 2 4k monitors
just get a desktop mac that can actually handle that much monitor
you also need to make sure any software you use on the daily isnt x86 only, otherwise an M1/2 mac would struggle
Question should I combo the Rx 6650 xt with ryzen 5600x?
just get the vanilla 5600
5600 non x
and cheaper
Alright thanks
is it possible to stream at 720p with a 12100F and a 2060?
I know it is a channel, you just said that. I was asking what peripherals actually means. I'll try and check it out. ? Blue Yeti is way better than the snowball. It doesn't sound scuffed at all lmao. I want less plosives, who would want more? Sibilance is the whistle sound in s', t's and z's. Yeah, Q2U was recommended to me by a verified server. Maybe I should try a mixer, but, the real problem is treating the mic, pre - processing. Bro, there is no such thing as old Blue Yeti's lmao. People love Blue Yeti's lmao. What I am looking for is complete removal of sibilance with minimal muffling. The Blue Yeti sounds great.
peripherals are just any part of your pc setup besides the pc itself
mic, headphones, mouse, keyboard, webcam, monitors
you could even call stuff like drawing tablets and printers peripherals tbh
but these are what people would be most commonly referring to with the word peripherals
whats a good 750 watt psu for 80 ish dollars
@potent portal
what part of the computer is being use the most when you are in a browser when designing in an app created for making maps?
Asus tuf bronze
Thank you for telling me.
Everything is.
Question for y'all. How much would you pay for a 360mm watercooled Asus ROG Strix OC Gaming 3080RTX?
Realistically
Not try to advertise on here, just seeing what others see it as worth
With the original box as well
For buying it, probably 600$
For selling it, you should probably try like 800$ to start, people like paying for strix tax
👍
I'd say 600 is realistic for the 10gb
But yeah depends on what the market wants - strix is a buzz word
It is watercooled so I might try $8-900
This is the eiswolf right?
You mean the extra backplate yes? It's black?
Run lines from the actual gpu block to the radiator, then from radiator to the backplate, and then from back plate to the GPU block again
Though I might put the passive one on when I sell it...
Makes it more "accommodating" for smaller cases
Somewhat
I did run the passive, the black one, and it did get hot because the board does soak up some heat, but it wasn't a drastic difference especially performance wise
It's more of a aesthetic gimmick
Hm
Oh wow they have one for the eagle
I'm gonna remember that for later I might have a use for it
Ironically my 3080 had more memory issues than my 3090 did for temps on a waterblock
I'm wanting to upgrade to a 4080 while the market for 3000 series are still viable
Last thing I want to do is wait too long and it be only worth $300 on resale
good luck on that one, ppl go to the used market to get cheap cards.... 800 for a used 3080 doesnt seem cheap to me 😦
50 so so more and they can score a 4070ti brand new... but good luck anyway
Im with felix and mr3.0 on this one.... 600 is doable even for a strix... 8-900 unlikely to happen but who knows
what is the architecture for M1/2 mac?
they're arm based chips
on macos arm is fairly well supported
besides you couldn't get intel macbooks anymore
Well part of that is the water cooler as well....that part isn't cheap and many cards don't have water blocks yet for the 4000 series, 4070ti especially
yeah im pretty sure of that, the problem will be to sell it using that to justify its price, as i said many will find hard to stomach 800+ on a used 3080... its a 2 year's old card by now
does anyone know if the O11 dynamic Evo comes with a vertical GPU mount in the box?
I need help
With
Ok so my friend dropped his phone on his pc and now it says critical process died
I have the pc rn
It does not come with one.
I was hoping mine did, but nope.
Hello. First time PC builder. Looking for a review on my build for mid-end gaming PC. Not planning to run anything crazy or a lot of streaming. I am mostly concerned with the ancilliary items I will need such as tools, cables, etc. to connect everything and confirming my build is appropriate (cost efficient & powerful). Any insight would be appreciated or resources. Thanks! https://newegg.io/2eca7f0
you can do way better for your budget, ill put together a list, what do you mean by ancillary by the way?
also do you need wifi or bluetooth?
Thanks! OK, open to any advice or suggestions. I'm unsure on the cables or connections I'll need to buy separately if they aren't provided. Most of the videos I've watched don't really mention it. Wifi and bluetooth would be nice. Will likely be hardwired most of the time for internet. Bluetooth would be nice to have for headset potentially.
okay so, you can definitely cut this down a lot in price and still be great, this is a very high end build, also you can leave windows not activated or get it for like 20$ on key sites

Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
I just swapped the case as well to the Lian Li as I like it alot but it's more expensive. https://newegg.io/2eca7f0
just realised one of the items in the list i gave you is out of stock actually one sec
Thank you! Would you mind explaining some of the changes & reasoning behind them if you had time?
with in stock gpu: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/76Zx3y
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
sure, so motherboard just has wifi and stuff included, the ram is a lot faster, the p41 plus has random speeds honestly better than the 980 pro, which is what will be used day to day by the OS, the 7900 xtx is equivalent to a 4080 its a way better graphics card, the case is just better value and the RM850e is just a cheaper version of the RMX, the screen i put is 1440p rather than 1080p, keychron make nicer keyboards for cheaper and the XM1r is a very good mouse too, the ls720 over the lt720 is just because its cheaper and they perform the same and the 13700k was just because you had the budget for it
but you can do a way cheaper build and get pretty close in performance
also the g360a comes with fans whereas the o11 does not
as for UPS i dont know much about those so ye
like here is an example on how you can drop the price 300$ and hardly see an impact https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CFLrFg
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600KF, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Thanks so much, I will take a look at all of this again and review. I appreciate it!
What about DDR4 vs DDR5 for memory? thoughts?
DDR4 actively hurts 13th gen Intel performance by as much as 10% on the 13600k, even more as you go higher tier
So I'd want to stick with DDR5 then
I've also never heard of some of the brands on there which is likely why I selected the others
It depends tbh when you're spending 100$ more for ddr5 I'm not sure it's exactly worth it
That's fine solidgigm for example only released drives very recently but it's owned by sk hynix which you might have heard of
Gotcha. Thanks for the info!
anyone got info on if ddr5 at 6000 hz is better at cl 30-40-40-96 or 32-38-38-96. this is gonna be for the 7950x3d
Either kit is fine and also wait for reviews
6000 is not guaranteed on 2ccd Zen 4 afaik
So any advice on if I will need to purchase any additional cables for connecting all my components, or will all the parts come with them?
6000 runs, it's 6400+ that gets iffy
Depends on the components you purchase. If it's that list from pato then the only thing you might need is a kettle lead for the power supply to the wall. PSU manufacturers have stopped giving those out because basically everyone has spares these days and you can get one from a thrift store for 50 cents.
Really I've heard that interesting
and have 2
8 pin ports
idk
Bruh
Gaming at 55c for like the 3rd time ever
to be fair, the one with gddr6x is like 10% increase, is on par with the 3070
so it’s better than the other edition’s ?
Ok thx :)
Really? Benchmarks I’ve seen shown it within 5% of a 3060ti
Depends much on the core clocks also. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-rtx-3060-ti-gets-few-benefits-from-gddr6x-says-reviewer
Do people not all run like two hdmi cables and a display port out the back of their graphics card? Is there some sort of splitter or doc for multiple monitor setup
DP to HDMI adapters exist
thoughts https://pcpartpicker.com/list/V6yXcb?
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, GeForce RTX 4090, Asus Prime AP201 MicroATX Mini Tower
Psu is overpriced, and I'd probably opt for a larger case if you have the space for one.
Aside from that looks good
i do not
Unsure on the mobo
There are adapters
Just as good of a psu for less
but what does additional space past the last case expansion slot is needed means
The mobo will run a 13700k
the error is for the gpu
I'm not sure
hmm
Oh
The gpu won't fit
Once it's in the pcie slot, it will be too thick
Well
The pcie area on the gpu will be above the pcie slot, with the gpu touching the bottom of the case (I think, I could be wrong)
Someone else would know better
Calling @fossil cedar or @cyan ravine
also psu is a no go in my country cant find it
Ahhhh
Then get the cheapest A tier 1000w psu from the tier list pinned in #cases-psu-and-cooling
What country are you in?
saudi arabia
Ahh that makes sense
new egg and amazon ship to it but not everything
ok thanks for the advice so far lol
switched the mobo and the error went away https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pzYHyK
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, GeForce RTX 4090, Asus Prime AP201 MicroATX Mini Tower
Ds3h def not enough for a 13700k though
ds3h?
The new mobo
Cpu power delivery
Vrms
For gaming it'd probably be fine, but multi core loads you'd likely run into vrm throttling
ok
what am i looking for in the specs
Just link the reasonably priced b760s/z790s/z690s here that work and I'll lyk which ones would be a good option
Pretty much every z790 works
Z690s?
yes
Most z690s would work, as long as it has a bios flash button
ill try amd then since no mobos
hopefully final revision?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 9 7900, GeForce RTX 4090, Asus Prime AP201 MicroATX Mini Tower
Is 7900 same price as 13700k for you?
If so that works
well new issue is the rad and psu combo wont fit ;-;
theyre what i have already
you have the case already too?
you should mark parts you already have as purchased
only things i have are the gpu and ssds
smallest case i can find to fit the gpu
its this or nr200p
but that seems like an oven
and trouble finding 1000w sfx
i move a lot i need the smallest case possible
SFF and high capacity don't really mix
i guess the ak620 could work
The ones that exist have a lot of coil whine and potential for transient load shutdown
no, the one you put there is incredibly overpriced
and you don’t need 1000w
good 850w is more than enough here
for me its more expensive than the asus
i am not
saudi arabia
country is pretty important
i have to find psus locally because newegg shipping for psu is ridiculous af
yeah I also don’t see any psu options available on saudi pcpp lmao
7900 and 7900x still close enough in price to go for 7900x
im getting the 7900x
did i put the wrong one in pcpp?
oh yeah i did
so other than the price the psu is fine?
