The slot in your laptop is m.2, so you'll be looking for a m.2 drive, but other specs don't matter that much, if you're just putting data on the drive without doing work on the drive, most of the specs don't matter. Outside of some drives that just perform extraordinarily bad, any m.2 drive will do.
do you do any non gaming workloads?
if it’s for gaming return it and get a 5800x3d
I stream while gaming and watching shows.
Better in what way?
just look at benchmarks lol
there’s a reason why amd conveniently left out 5800x3d and only compared ryzen 7000 to ryzen 5000 non-x3d
5800x3d is right up there with the 7950x and 13900K
ryzen 7000 has been dead on arrival partially because of the 5800x3d just being too good
but it’s a MUCH better cpu as long as you are using it for gaming
streaming and watching shows doesn’t warrant the extra cores
streaming will run on your graphics card anyways, and watching shows while gaming isn’t going to struggle on 8 cores
5800x3d is the endgame for am4, you won’t need an upgrade until ddr5 is cheap
they’re bundling free game with the 5900x because nobody wants them
5800x3d is selling out fast everywhere
Ahh
interesting newegg bundles a game but out of stock
only amazon still has stock left
the X3D part
it has triple cache compared to the 5800X
games like cache
even though it’s clocked lower than the 5800X and 5900X it wrecks both of them in games
Nope
And temps 💀
I have a question. I have a used rx 570, if I build a pc and install the rx 570 would people buy it? Sorry my English is bad
thoughts on mixing 2x16gb 3200 16-18-18-38 ram with a 2x8gb 3200 16-18-18-38 kit?
It'll probably run but why do you want 48gb?
Also which sticks are they specifically
16gb isn't enough and ram is g.skill trident z rgb
What tasks are you doing
mostly modded games
biggest 2 are Ark and Minecraft
Ah then 32 is probably enough tbh
since MC alone is using over 12gb of ram, and I can't give it any more then that
You kinda want to have identical sticks as much as possible
It's more likely to run smoothly without issues
So what you can do, turn the pc off, flip off the power and the back, pop out one of the trident sticks and take a pic of the sticker on it and post here
That will give you the code for the specific kit that you can match it to
guessing it would depend on the company, but wouldn't I be able to return them if they aren't working smoothly
You in all likeliness could but this saves the headache
And matching sticks runs more stable than mixed
I say that with an asterisk* but ye
I just wouldn't be bothered enough to resell the sticks in all likelyhood
Ya so you have 2x8 tridentz?
currently yeah, I can post a link to the specific ones
If you know the specific ones then absolutely
not the biggest fan of amazon for electronics tbh, they just had the best deal when purchasing it
Huh, 68's not bad
Considering it's gskill
They're on newegg too for a dollar less but I'd do the amazon one again to best match your sticks as possible
This code
F4-3200C16D-16GTZR
That's your product code to find them
Very basic kit but you'll increase your likelihood of a stable matching kit going through the same buyer again
Otherwise what I'd do, is sell the 2x8's you have, then spend on a simple 32gb kit
atleast last time I checked the 32gb model was around $20-30 more for double the amount
Nah not 32gb gskills
One sec
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JhC48d/silicon-power-xpower-zenith-rgb-gaming-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-sp032gxlzu320bdd
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GdNv6h/silicon-power-xpower-turbine-rgb-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-memory-sp032gxlzu320bdb
77 and 79$
So 10$ more than the 2x8 gskills but you'll probably be better off as you'd have sold the other gskills
Atleast on the r/buildapc discord they were talking about how same models might have different chips and same model =/= compactible and all that stuff
Yes
They are right
By shopping in the same exact place you increase the likelihood of the same chips and sticks so you will likely have a matching set
But it's not assured
if you didnt care for the rgb, you could save like $10 here
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/w98bt6/silicon-power-xpower-turbine-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-sp032gxlzu320bda
Esp for 3200
3200 is such a common xmp that you can find just about anything under it
More then likely I'll just add on to the 2x8 g.skills, since I like their design the most and less hassle
Ok fair, I don't really expect it to be teething much unless you're using some really old cpu
cpu and gpu should be fine for a while
Just as long as it's the same place and same article you bought it from, there's a very reasonable chance it's matching
Oh yeah but like, lets say 7700K or ryzen 1700x for example
Those would make me say "oh maybe not" lol
I have a i5 6400 and 750ti. What do I need to upgrade first?
mostly just a ram bottleneck, although so far minecraft has been the only game to cripple my pc lol
What's your budget
150
what do you want to do with the pc?
I just want to know what's better upgrading the gpu or cpu first than upgrading the other part at a later date.
save your money
@cyan ravine why am i so nervous to build my pc tomorrow 🤣feel like ima need therapy
Trying my hardest
But I’m not trying hard enough
I got the ram in and then gave up on self study
@vital pelican take that ram stick closest to the cpu out and stick it in the slot farthest from the cpu slot
Alright
That'll make sure you're running the ram in dual channel
It should go * click * at the top and bottom
There ya go
Now*
Nice
Any ideas on where I should put it?
🥺
Into the slot that says hyper m.2
Fasten it down at the end with the m.2 screw
It'll slot in at a slight downward angle with the far end of the nvme sticking out above the board. It looks funny.
Thanks
Anybody know ehere I can trade pc parts or cases?
Oh no
nice
^
budget ocing
wait that means we can push even 13400 once it comes out on that board
🤔
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kfKY78 can anyone check this parts list to make sure i didnt put anything dumb, going for <$700 usd build
Part List - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6600, Aerocool Aero One Eclipse ATX Mid Tower
For gaming how much of a difference is there between a pcie gen 3 nvme SSD and a gen 4?
Virtually nothing
A few seconds at most even in directstorage uses
What kind of use case would there be a difference? I'm guessing stuff like 3D modeling?
Would I go to this channel if I need help when my game is running bad for a reason I can't seem to fix?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6600, Fractal Design Focus 2 ATX Mid Tower
Slightly better
Just note the 5600 you will bios flash before you try and run the system, it has a button to do that and takes 5 minutes
Sure
You could also try #windows-ios or #general-chat @sturdy ridge
8k video scrubbing, massive open world projects in Unreal
do i gotta bios flash??
im getting the same board
And cpu
If it's a new motherboard probably yes
Are you buying it in new or used/refurbished condition?
Then 50/50 you'll need to flash, I'd recommend doing it
The 5600 is a pretty new cpu and not all boards were produced after and updated to the proper version
Yes it's a simple process to flash it with the usb
ok is there a yt vid?
Tons
and i would just update to the newest bios update?
Yep
ok cool and i dont need a cpu or anything installed correct??
It's that MSI board in Felix's link right? Nope just power
yes same mobo
okay cool yeah i can do that
i plan to build it all tomorrow idk why but im like nervous too🤣
Latest bios 7C95vH3 https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C95vH3.zip
ok cool cool
Official how-to vid from MSI https://youtu.be/iTkXunUAriE
In this demonstration, we’ll show you how to use Flash BIOS Button with MSI motherboard.
@drowsy zodiac So you can "bookmark" this part? lol
yeah
Smart
i think im worried about getting the cpu cooler on
its legit just a air cooler too
not even a aio
Which cooler? The stock one?
Looks like it's an easy mount kit, you just take off the stock "clip" mounts and screw on their mount
Do one mount at a time so the backplate doesn't fall off lol
One of those "learn from my mistakes" tips
Yeah you can use the official tool to create a usb and just follow the steps, pretty simple
ok cool if i do get stuck i’ll come here for help
I have a ryzen 5 3200g. How much do I sell it for or is it good to pair with a 1660ti?
Don't worry too much about the bios flash part btw. As I found out it simply won't do the flash if the file is wrong/usb wrong format/wrong file name etc.
Should be fine to pair with that unless your game of choice is super cpu heavy
So flashing with the button should be very safe
Is wz, fortnite, Mc, Arma cpu heavy?
Not too extremely heavy, you should still be GPU bound
I'm worried that I applied too little thermal paste (I already built my pc), what game should I run to test the CPU temps?
Cinebench is a good test, it’s free
Alright thanks
Prime95 small fft mode is a good test cinebench more of a benchmark
Hello I need help please
With what?
Idk if I can upgrade this one of that I am thinking of getting
Can you link it?
Can I send the photo in dm?
Do you see it
Anyone know of any black or white power supplies that are on black Friday sale. I would like to get a 80+ gold 850watt. Preferably from a company that makes quality power supplies.
Budget and country?
Also gold doesn't mean much, that's just the efficiency. There are gold psus that catch fire
Reason: Bad word usage
I think RMe is the cheap one rn lemme double check
Nope nvm it was indeed GF1
@upper ore Bacca sent you one
Thermaltake toughpower GF1 PE 850W
$80
On newegg
I'll look at it
Kook at dms
@upper ore click this^^^
Bacca I remembered the trick lol
No bot flagging on this one
Lol
Alright I saved it to a list and look at it after work. Thanks
Any recommendations for a motherboard and processor combo? Would prefer a 10th gen Intel
Budget, country and use case
Also 10th gen is old and outdated, odds are it will be the same price as current gen stuff while having worse performance
Unless going used
US, NZXT H7 Flow, Warzone, Halo, gaming
Budget
Roughly about $600
Easy enough
100% avoid 10th gen

it says it can OC to 270hz
what is the best 2 tb ssd
gaming
MP33 2TB one sec I'll grab the best price
ok
ok
P41 plus might be the same price
I'd do this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3QXJ7P/kingston-nv2-2-tb-m2-2280-pcie-40-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-snv2s2000g or

im trying to add space to this computer to this computer i have everything here besides the cpu https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JCCm78
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6600, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
They don't need to be flashy for games just sufficiently fast
It'll just pop right in
No problems
Same price and tier as the 670p https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZQ97H3W
The P34A60 is an affordable storage solution that doesn't skimp on performance. It's designed for novice users, DIY system builders, purpose-built system manufacturers, and simply those who are looking to upgrade their PC. But with a PCIe Gen3x4 interface, which means four lanes are used for tran...
Yeah A60 is another good one
Can vouch for 3 of the 4 so far lol
NV2 would be the premium option
yeah i think that i will get fal'cies. You know that parents look more at the discount than the price lol
Do you own the mobo too?
If not, get the asus pro art b660
If its still on sale anyways
Which is exactly why black friday still works even though it's mostly average deals now
is p3 a good nvme sdd
it's same priced as the A60
on amazon rn
500gb tho
do you know a budget 1/2 tb ssd to store games?
i would check mp33
Mp33 512gb is $30 something
^
Theyre the same
Well, similar anyways
Won't see a difference in two machines with the same specs aside from the ssd if those are used

Hello! Can anyone help me with this build, this is gonna be my first time and I literally know nothing about PC stuff but have spent the last week doing research and trying to learn the best I can
If anyone has any input on anything I'd appreciate it! Or am I missing anything? I have no idea what that graphics card is for example, I just chose something random that said was compatible
Ah dang I can't send a picture just yet, but I'm basing it off of the recommended specs for Photoshop, Priemer Pro, and an Elgato I just got,
(It's not really gonna be for gaming, just for video editing and streaming my capture card to, bc I wanna play console games like PS5, switch, and Xbox Series S)
Wait on someone a little more experienced in part picking like this and they’ll get you a good build set up, best banger for the buck
Do you have a specific budget?
The worst case for airflow in my opinion
What is your budget? You are going to want to go for a i7 or i9 (think 13th gen, possibly get away with 12th gen). Could most likely get away with using a 3060 or 3060ti gpu as well. You'll want a lot of RAM for your editing (think 32gb/64gb)
Worst case for airflow cos there is none
I'd wanna try to keep it around 1k
With the V2, we've improved the UNI FAN SL120 both aesthetically and functionally.

Where is the aio
Pipes
what's that!
If no one gets you a build today, I will throw one together tonight. I just got off work after being up 72 hours on 4 hours of sleep, so I'm about to pass tf out.
Will a 750W psu be enough to supply an estimated (by pc builders estimation) 474W system?
Yes
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VcRGRv
Not final, just threw something together in 5 mins, but potential parts that anyone else can change out if they feel it is not adequate.
You would have to update the BIOS on the Z690 board to support 13th gen, but that's fairly easy to do.
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K, Radeon RX 6600 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P300A Mesh ATX Mid Tower
What’s the point of the fan? Stock fans should do just fine for a system like that, and for 1k you can get a way better setup
What’s the point of the 13600k if you’re running a 6600XT
The cpu is $100 more than the gpu
Oh ok
Just scrolled up and saw that 🤦♂️
Sorry
@elfin flame do they already have psu?
Thank uu
I'll add (was gonna change case anyway)
I'm gonna try to get to level 3 so I can send a picture
Focus 2 by fractal is an insane deal
Because I wrote down all the spec recommendations Im trying to get at least, and I feel it's nothing too crazy
thank U

There ya go
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600KF, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Not amazing but did it in between class lol
@little osprey
@fossil cedar
Hm?
The build
It wasn't for gaming much it was mainly for editing
Otherwise i would have done differently
Oh ok that makes more sense
Also that psu is very mediocre
It's c tier
From what i saw
You must have not all merchants on or something
Ill have to check

Omg thank you
is this still worth it for my upgrade ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4cbKNc ) upgraded parts

not bad, but psu is hella overpriced
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Do this instead for the psu
yeah that evga psu is on Bstock for $69 (nice) but still overpriced
Especially considering that A tier was posted a couple days ago for $50
anything else for the cpu cooler? its looks like its out of stock
ak620
that one is on Amazon tho if you’re dead set on it
my friend is looking to build a pc, budget 2400$(CAD) two monitors including mouse and keyboard
Gaming build?
yes sir
@mossy venture put this one together the other day https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GjdfjZ from there you can add monitors & peripherals
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower

Part List - Intel Core i9-13900KF, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Does anyone see a problem with this build? I have everything for it except new CPU, motherboard, aio, M.2 and case.
It's an upgrade
I think I may pull the trigger today with most parts through amazon. Just because of the few deals I'm seeing on the parts I want
And I'm switching the 4000d case for a 5000d
Hey guys
I’m fixing to put my motherboard in
And I’m wondering if I should just put it in raw or if I should cover the back of it with something
Does it need protection?
Or is it ok for it to touch the back of my case?
Appreciate it
Alright so this is good for
Alright got it
Though the antenna on my board are making this a lot harder then it should be
I can’t get them through the io shield
Wait
Oh
I did realize something
Not only do I not have any screws for this but
A lot of stand offs are like this
The only screws I see that aren’t in use
Are these
Wait actually I do see a cardboard box
Very easy to access
Yep hidden in a drive bay, not always obvious
Sorry for this seemingly stupid question but any ideas on how to remove this?
Pinch the two tabs together and pull
🫧
🦀I got it thanks
I’m not using any Hdds in my build but seeing this makes me think that might be a problem
Yeah I noticed the mother board only has space for one sfx
Sdd*
im building mine tomorrow :).
I wanted to use a custom cooler but I lost my thermal paste
Hopefully the stock cooler will work
Oh yeah
feel like your doing better then ima do🤣
If your right then I can pretend to help when it’s your turn
LMAOO tomorrow morning
just need canada post to hurry up and deliver my board and cpu
Lmao my bad lol
what cpu and gpu you got?
Asrock 6900xt paired with a 5600
yeah i got a 5600 with a 6600
Ooh similar
eh kinda
Though I heard I’ll have a pretty big bottleneck with my@build
I guess you have the perfect performance
I’m also planning on upgrading my cpu
did you have to update bios?
I wanted a 5700 but was discouraged
Get a 5800x3d or sum
Man I’m still tryna figured
Figure
If I should readjust my standoffs or not
B550
Your fine
ah i downloaded the newest bios update because apparently ima have to update the board
this may sound very stupid but since my case is a atx and my mobo is a matx will i have to adjust my standoffs?
🤣
okok
i got the msi b550m vc wifi or some like that
i forget ngl
it comes tmrw
I’m scared of letting my screws correct the mobo
yeah they came pre installed
Honestly I watched to many pc videos and I’m now allergic of my motherboard
im so nervous to build it ngl
I’ll be happy if the worse thing to happen is me needed to replace the moyhetboard
Motherboard
@elfin flame will this board need the bios update like should i just update it right when i take it out the box
paired w a 5600
ok cool i already did the usb part
thanks for that
i’ll flash it right out the box
do my mobo screws come w the mobo or the case
to screw it down
ok cool
my case just has a little bag with screws lol
What version of bios is preinstalled? It'll say on the box near the barcodes
Asrock b550
Box is gone
No more box
I killed it
Trial by fire I guess
I lied I found it
Uhhh
I think I’m good
you should keep the boxes of PC parts you buy
it really comes in handy down the line
I do anyway
i got all mine lol
resale value $$$$
I did the same but just lost the box
this was a PSU i had for 3 years that I resold recently
look at how nice that looks

I don’t think I’m good
Nice
someone help commander i think he’s stressing out
whats wrong with the board
I'd say it's 50/50 that a new board would need an update for 5600 right now
Checking to see if it supports my cpu off rip
ima flash the board anyways
i already have the usb ready and everything
does anyone know why it had to be a .rom file
the video i watched the guy said it has to be that lol
No clue but I’m also going to be asking soon lol
On the flip side
All the standoffs but the one that’s just not there are in
Think I’m good
i need to leave this chat for the night LOL im getting stressed out by you and i need to have a positive mindset going into building tmrw😭🤣
The chip that flashes the bios looks for specific filenames
is rom fine?
Yeah renaming a file doesn't change it physically at all
okok
No matter what warnings Windows throws at you
okay cool and then for the windows download i just use the media installation tool right?
cool cool
💀
i never asked
Michaelsoft Binblows
lmaoooo
@elfin flame check dms
Reason: Bad word usage
where’s your psu?🤣
Oh forgot about that guy
ohhh ok
I had a breakdown thinking I’d have to return it before thinking of opening the case
On the other side
see ya
See ya
Uh
Anyone know if I should plug my case SATA into the mobo or the PSU? Manual doesn’t specify
Another thing, is it required I use all slots on my PSU?
I only have one cpu after all
Ironic though since I need 2 for my gpu lol
Ty
Alright
I’m really doubting my gpu is going to fit
My@doubt was miscounted
Found
No fit?
I think I should be good
I just looked it up
Regardless I’m having a ton of trouble with all the cables
Wondering what’s what since they aren’t labeled
Carefully study your board for each different type of connector, the plugs should be labelled on the motherboard
Some might be instead meant for the psu
take a picture of anything you can't figure out
Guys, I need some quick help because I have to decide what laptop I have to buy for work. Mainly I edit 1080p 25FPS videos with color grading on Premiere Pro and design different graphics in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Sometimes I use After Effects for 2D motion graphics. I have to decide between these two laptops.
Acer Aspire 5
i5 12gen 1235U
2 x 8GB RAM
Iris Xe Graphics
Better CPU but integrated GPU
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3
i5 11gen 11320H
1 x 16GB RAM
GeForce GTX 1650
Worse CPU but GTX 1650
Which will be better? Thanks!
For work, I'd just grab the first one, for editing, better CPU is just nicer
And using as is, 2x8 is much nicer than 1x16
So i was wondering if you guys knew how long after the release of a new case would newegg get access to it?
Depends on supplier
Phanteks
I would say newegg tends to be first to market more often than not
But also country matters
USA
Soon
That's just been announced
Good case choice btw
G360A is brilliant and G500A will be for sure
Ik i heard about it and i will get it for my new build i just wish it came in the black and white color scheme that the previous model ran for awhile
P500A*
Okay, I'm trying to build a PC for like beginning content creation, so I wrote down the recommended specs of the software I plan on using, I don't really plan on using it for gaming because I wanna stream console games with my capture card, so I feel like I don't need anything too crazy, but I wanna keep the budget around 1k
You could build a gaming pc for 1K that would respectfully edit and capture games too
Just budget out the capture card
Here's what I wrote, I chose an Intel i5 11400 F as the CPU because it meets all those criteria
Of at least something Intel 7th gen, a multicore Intel, and it has to be at least i5, and has 8threads
Part List - Intel Core i5-11400F, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Here's what Danny helped me come up with
I've just found a pretty much same laptop as IdeaPad but with AMD Ryzen 5 5600H, I think I'll buy this one and buy additional ram to make it 2 x 16
Thanks for help!
I guess the only thing if anyone else has any input is I'd want the motherboard to have wifi/Bluetooth since I'm not near a router
And also idk anything about picking a Gpu lol
Wifi is nice yeah but you will want to be connected. Most of the time itll be faster than wifi
We can do better
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Qcjp4s
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6700, Fractal Design Focus 2 ATX Mid Tower
Oh and this is what I originally had
Part List - Intel Core i5-11400F, GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower
That's what Danny went off of, but I had a random GPU thrown in there that said was compatible
Micro atx? nice
And missing coolers i think
The stock cooler works fine for low end ryzen
Ooo I'll take a look!
Comes in the box
Yeah the wraiths are pretty reliable if they are still doing those. Right?
Oh wait though
Yup, it's a wraith
5600 is as good as an 11400f
So don't freak out it's just better value for money
Idk if Ryzen 5 will work
It will
For the capture card?
Yup
This list is far better
Oh wha
I have elgato cards, they work fine with ryzen lol
But it says it needs at least at least Intel i5 or A Ryzen 7 (or better)
Intel i5 and ryzen 7 are very vague
There's a ryzen 3 that beats a ryzen 7
In the middle ish
And there's an i3 that beats an i9
There's plenty of examples where those reqs make no sense
Intel is normally way to expensive and most of the time you can find a ryzen cpu that is just as good if not better for the same price or less. Am i wrong?
Yes
nothing can beat my i7 6950X
It goes back and forth and normally depends on what you're spending
absolutely NOTHING
Ie, 13th gen is better value than am5 right now
You'r mother
dang
What about intel 7700x
It's the HD60X Elgato

Again, totally fine
If anything I'd alter it slightly for more cpu grunt but a 5600 will handle it
1080p especially
How much is the hd60x?
$150 rn I think
Ok lemme have a second look
I just kept the cpu cause thats what they wanted
What's the Compatibly issue
Ignore that
Also no real point in 6700 as there not doing much gaming
It'll work regardless
But what do i know
@little osprey
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XGRkPX
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Fractal Design Focus 2 ATX Mid Tower
Bit less on the gpu which is sadge but should still work fine
I tried to fit a 5700X kek
Whys the gpu so much 💀
yaa I won't really be gaming on it
Oh it says 259 for me
Idk
Cause they asked me for help
Nor that one
Woah
If Pato made it list it'll be better than mine
That's alot of ssd
Only comment on thst is 6650xt is cheaper
That one is a bit over $
What's wrong with my pricing 💀
Leaving orbit rn
It doesnt
Ur right sorry
No reason to be srry
@little osprey is your budget 1K including or not including the capture card
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zdQG6r
Does anyone see a problem with this build? I have everything for it except new CPU, motherboard, aio, M.2 and case.
It's an upgrade
I think I may pull the trigger today with most parts through amazon. Just because of the few deals I'm seeing on the parts I want
And I'm switching the 4000d case for a 5000d
Part List - Intel Core i9-13900KF, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Not, but to me lower is better haha
Okay, and I was just giving a comment on something to change. Rude for no reason but ok
how is that rude lol
Ah ok then pato's list is leagues better
Like night and day
But yeah a 6650xt would cheapen it brb
I also plan to get a few more fans and such as well
The only other thing is like Monitor, mouse keyboard etc, but I think I'll be able to find that on my own
yes, as the Max
Below would be awesome sauce
But I have 1k I can use
Might be better off buying used unless u got the money to spend lol for the gpu
I've already got the GPU
thank u guys
Ahh ok
I've got everything but the Mobo, M.2, CPU and AIO
I'm upgrading from a b350-M and R5 3600. To that I9 13900k/ fk and mobo.
Yea seems good tho mobo lil pricey

I worry about my power supply not being up to snuff for everything. But it doesn't seem too far away?
Yeah. it was one of the only one that's 12th gen and DDR4
The cost out weighs itself when I have to go back and purchase 128 gigs of DDR5
Cuz I already have 128 gigs DDR4
baller
Woahh
I'm using the PC for mostly Vray rendering, and some gaming on the side
That's why I want the CPU so bad. It's killing me RN
To breathe a bit of perspective on what we mean by the specs of the elgato being vague as hell, this i5 in the list is more powerful than an i9 from 2 years ago
Just completely beats it hand over fist
So a recent Ryzen 5 will be better than a much older Ryzen 7
The same idealogy applies
Also I would suggest looking into avermedia capture cards
I'm not the best in this field but I hear they're better than elgato's in a number of cases
Esp. at 150
Pretty much yeah
150 is 4k price
Now I get to hurry up and wait….
Thank you guysss
I'm just looking up the parts rn
Waiting for 4k120
Guessing it'll have av1
Loops done for now but I'm still seeing if I can fix that usb port
13900K 430W under load no probs
Rams working too
But barely wet my feet yet
4090 goes in after case mods
I'm worried about getting the 13900k and my 3080 with my current power supply.
I'm not that savvy
Pog
What's your use case
Lad see those gpu connectors
Unplug the gpu connectors and put the other plugs in
Switch them?
If I can one sec
OH!
What's the 13900k being used for
I physically can’t
Hmm
I believe in you to manage
It might be because of my trash wire management
Try running those cables from the bottom up
Ew, gross.
Don't go cranking too many dials
Well. The build is already looking around 1200
I was hoping...To maybe stay close-ish to that
I can go a few hundo more if I need to
Hold on.
Let me grab my thingyu
13700k exists
You could just do 13700K and not upgrade psu
That's still a threadripper class cpu
"threadripper class"? lol
I'm in that..If I'm spending the dosh, I might as well go full shiny.
Similar multicore
X79
thats C612
Part List - Intel Core i9-13900KF, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
See you're speaking in alien again
Like I said earlier. I have everything on this list besides the CPU, MOBO, M.2 and uhh
AIO
screenshotted and sent to frank
I'd just switch to 13700k
and I'm going to get a 5000d case, and 2 tb 980pro instead
980 pro sucks
Get p41 plat
It's on sale rn iirc
Never seen those
be me and buy used storage 🤓
I need the extra threads when rendering
It is. But time is money and all that. If I can save time, I can make more money
See I knew you could do it
Indeed
Any idea where I throw the cpu cable?
Top left
Reason: Bad word usage
Alright
lol
Anyone know how well the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 360m cooler works with the 7950x?
Ye
So you would actually get a better power supply?
Or 360
Or 360
Or 360
You could run 850X stock
So stock cpu and gpu would be fine but barely room for anything
Or 360
good to know, havent used ebay at all but will give it a look
I'm not a huge fan of RGB anyway, so that's aight. I might just upgrade to 1000w for my peace of mind
I still wouldn't unlock the 13900K's power with this tbh
Or 360
Or 360
im gonna need a 1200W+ power supply soon lol
guys when i plug my cords in to flash the bios should i leave the styrofoam on the back of the board🤣 or am i gonna break something
like the styrofoam sheet thing
Is it in the case yet?
Or 360
no im asking im general
yeah
Or 360
im gonna flash bios tmrw when i build it tho
If it's in the case with foam take it out, if not you can leave it on foam ig
Maybe just put it on cardboard
There shouldn't be any styrofoam on the back of the board in general
Or 360?
its not styrofoam but its like this thin sheet that i think protects the back
Which board is this?
msi b550m
Sadge, it's not on their b-stock store 🥲 but https://www.ebay.com/itm/354032079782?
$70 right now. @fast sand
Take a picture of it?
No you don't need that sheet
ok so just throw it out
cool cool
lol
what about like
Or 360?
Why is it so much cheaper on Ebay?
Is this Corsair? Most likely weird argb
Looks like vdg
Nope it’s a phanteks G360a case
I sound dumb..But what is Bstock"?
Ya it'll be vdg
And the motherboard is an ASROCK b550
Anyway I'll bbl, lots to do
dw i questioned it too in my head
Or 360?
G360a
Or 360?
Who are you talking to
LMAOOO
Or 360

Or 360?
Or 360
all this 360 is making me lose brain cells
It should just for daisy chain
Doesn't plug into Mobo, you plug other things into it
Oh
You guys wanna get jump scared by wire management
lol
well i never said i was dizzy but now i am
makes sense
better then what mine will look like ngl
As long as it don’t catch fire right
factual
Now that I’m doing all of this I’m realizing my mb and gpu want me to eat cds
I don’t have a disc reader
They don't want you to use cds 99% of the time, it's just an option for legacy support
Oh
Downloading drivers online will always have up to date drivers, whatever is on the disk might not always be up to date
@vital pelican hows the build going?
ah ah i see thats good
basically.. returns/refurbs
I screwed up the fan leds
My monitor won’t turn on
Hey
Yeah I’m pretty sure I’m good
Maybe I put my gpu in the wrong place?
Ugh I didn’t want anything to go wrong because now I have to be careful of shocking myself
shocking? why would you? if you have to work on the pc you must unplug the pc from the wall anyway
no risk of shocking
Hmm static seems to be a issue
static is more harmless than you think
unless you are working on a rug and constantly brushing your hair at the same time
Alright perfect
Still don’t know what I’d work on though not sure what I did wrong
if you have to work on the pc, unplug the pc, press the on button to discharge the caps and good to go
working on a pc plugged to the wall is worst than any static shock
what's the price? the link is loading too slowly for me
$999
apparently it was $1449 and they have $450 off
you can get better if you build by yourself, but that's fine if you don't want or couldn't build a pc for some reason
