That looks like a good choice. performance is definitely more important than RGB. Plus tastefully added is a much better idea
Assuming Germany, is amazon.de an option?
alternate can be nice but amazon usually has more offerings
but Acer also has a good screen with IPS rather than OLED, also 1440p quality, plus 90 hz refresh rate, 16 gbs of RAM
Euros perhaps
Theyre asking if you're in a place that uses euros
Which the answer to that is yes I'd assume
Alright, I was just a bit confused, but yeah, like @stoic island said, Amazon would be a good option too because of more options
I do not really mind the place, but alternate also offers monthly installements rather than full payment, which is a must for me
alright
Pretty sure there's some Amazon products that do that as well
But not all
it does not necesarrily have to be alternate, I just sent the links for specs and comparison
well, I have not seen this actually
Fair enough
The thing with the Asus laptop is just that 16:10 and that resolution might not work well with some media
I don't know if it changes for different examples, but I'll grab an example
for now, the most important part is to have one specific model xd, then I will search for the best deals
sure
I did not know it really
Thank you so much for your help! I'll get this board and a DAC
please free to @ or DM me if you have recommendations
I couldn't find it for any gaming laptops, but I'm very certain they do monthly installments for certain things
I will check regularly, but I still have no brand or model in my mind xd
Model > Brand
I mean most media should be fine but it might mean in smth like videos it could just have black bars or it stretches a 16:9 image to fit on a 16:10 screen
by the way, I have forgotten to say that I will also do coding and possibly virtualization
thank you for the details, I believe this would not be so annoying
I suppose technically I didn't answer your question about budget. Are there any advantages to go up in budget?
I was just checking if you had a budget restraint, you really don't get much for spending over say 200$ on a motherboard, it's all niche features beyond that, overclocking stuff mainly, or extra io or something of that sort.
Cool... Yeah no plans of overclocking or anything like that. Thank you much!
2010s: gotta buy a nice motherboard and K cpu to overclock my cpu
2020s: gotta buy a nice motherboard and K cpu to undervolt my cpu
Can someone help me? My computer keeps restarting by itself. The first time I turned it on it worked normally for about a minute, now it just keeps restarting, doesn’t even make it to the windows screen
That is my boot sequence if that matters
I have 1ssd and 1 hdd
what are some good aios? i cant find a good lf2 360mm b stock
Wdym
Have you tried reinstalling windows?
Arctic official store on eBay for b stock
@frigid night no, was hoping the issue was much simpler, reinstalling windows sounds very inconvenient
would have been faster than the last 2 days of you waiting for someone to respond.
I'd say that is more inconvenient
where
@frigid night was busy so it was ok 👍. I’ll give reinstalling windows a try, just don’t get why it would randomly completely stop working
I don’t see a 360mm version though
Prob too popular
Anyone got any suggestions for some good DDR4 ram that is pretty fast that wont break the bank? If not i might just go with some Trident Z's. Like are the Corsair Vengeance worth it?
G.skill RipJaws, or various others like silicon power if wanting to maybe some.some money. LPX vengeance is kinda* junk.
If u want rgb I went for teamgroup
So yes and no i have a color scheme im going for
But most things now have RGB anyways
not the budget ones
Is there a fix for vga debug choosing when to cause issues? Sometimes it won’t boot and shows vga debug led. Then like just now, booted without issue, but it got vga debug last night when I tried to update and shutdown
I would like to clarify this is not a budget build. But i dont want to speed 200+ on ram lol
It may also be worth noting that the gpu is my old gpu that went through hell and is barely hanging on by a thread
i mean teamgroup is a rpetty good option imo
Alright ill look into them and start comparing with others.
are there any other good aio's other than the lf 2
Get a 32gb teamgroup 3200c16 or 3600c18 kit, depending on cpu
Lian li galahad, EK aio
Deep cool ls720 I believe yhe model name is
what are some cool accessories to use
What do you mean by the accessories?
Less is more, simplistic design and less peripherals decorating either your desk or case imo gets a lot more rep
Simple, but effective
A nice simple desk mat, good keyboard, good mouse, maybe a headset stand, that's it
Vertical gpu mount if you like that sort of thing, maybe a cheap raspberry pi screen in the case for hardware monitoring
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CZ3gXL/amd-ryzen-7-5800x3d-34-ghz-8-core-processor-100-100000651wof
Because the extra cache on that one means the cpu doesn't really scale *FCLK with better ram, you don't need to nitpick the ram too much
You can get better kits but it's much less of a difference vs. regular Ryzen, so yeah, any of the cheaper team group kits are fine (for rgb) or silicon power
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/P7RYcf/team-t-force-delta-rgb-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3600-cl18-memory-tf3d432g3600hc18jdc01

help
Which cpu? If LGA 1700, LS720, otherwise, whichever is cheaper
12600k
Yeah LS720
im not trying to change the decision but i just wonder why that ones better
I forget why but there was something about galahad that doesn't pair it to the best result on 12th gen
thank you
Np
Galahad better than Arctic on my 12600k.
ime the Galahad performs slightly better than the Arctic on my 12600k. Idk about the Deepcool, but I will say that if going 360, All 3 will be more than enough so it doesn't really matter. For example.. I'm OCed at 5.3 perf / 4.1 efficient and under a full load neither of the first mentioned AIO allow my cpu to get over 90c at full load.
I'd say get whichever one fits your budget/style more
ill go with either tbh the galahad is cheaper tho https://www.ebay.com/itm/165404625762? https://www.ebay.com/itm/234734877317?
The GALAHAD AIO is compatible with most mainstream motherboard software, allowing users to create a synchronized system with ease.
I personally would buy the AIO brand new so you have warranty
AIO are one of the parts you want a warranty on
what are some other
Arctic/ EK / Galahad / LS720
i mean what are some other parts that you would want a warranty on my bad
Ideally, all of them, but I've seen RAM / mobo / AIO have the most issues out of the box.
nah my bad, I just woke up.
i should go to bed its 2:28 idk what im doing anymore
West coast life <3. I'm a night shifter so that's why I got up
i cant focus properly im incredibly sleep deprived
ah i see
I get it. Can always get some sleep and come back here tomorrow.
I'm glued to screens its physically impossible
i wasnt planning on getting a used/open box ram or mobo anyways
I think I've spent close to $200 on cosmetic stuff the last 3 days
im playing on laptop and i run apex lowest settings lowest resolution at 2 frames W
sheesh
smooth as butter
I play on max and hit my 165hz 1440p refresh rate lol
idk how high it really is because the game seems to lock it to the refresh rate of the monitor.
im finally getting a pc soon tho 😭

you should look into it im pretty sure if u have higher frames it'll lower input lag by a ton but if u set it to unlimited screen tearing can happen :(
Im pretty sure
I don't have any settings that would be limiting that.
my pc settings are fine tuned, and the setting in the game is off.
oh alr
anyways this is what my build is looking like right now im planning on getting like a 7700xt or 7800 xt https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yyGq9r
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower
ive been told that i should prob change my ssd but idk what to change it to
can change it to the mp34 since it's actually cheaper atm
oh fr?
yeah
that's what I use for my game SSD
otherwise I have a Hynix p31
but that's on the spendy side
the cover is just a rock 🗿
Also, if you have any issues with AMD on your PC... like random lags that make games unplayable.. I'd suggest going Nvidia.
I had issues with 2 6950xt gpus
that I had to go back to nvidia
nvidia is too overprices i might wait for the 4080 or 4070 to drop and hope for a lowered price
or i may just wait for black friday or cyber monday
cuz saving money is pretty cool
yeah saving money on my purchases allows me to spend more money on more purchases xD
just remember though, that parts on sale today, may not be on sale tomorrow.
waiting for mine in the mail
that goes for everything
aye, but PC parts are like the flashiest sales I've ever seen
So theres a big variety of options to choose from i have time
like sale for only an hour kind of thing lol
well yeah but usually when theres a sale its usually like normal price but its labeled as a sale
On a lot of things yeah. If you come across something just ask about it with a link in #tech-deals-discussion and someone can let you know if it's a good deal or if there is something better price:perf
that's the bracket used to attach the pump to your mobo
LGA 1700 is the socket 12th/13th gen uses
oh so the added bracket would be better
yes. You'll want the bracket or you won't be able to attach your AIO
niceee its cheaper for some reason
would be it be more of a hassle to get a 12600k than a 12600kf
for a few bucks more, I find the K model better for me than the KF
they are the exact same price
Pato's suggestion not mine
I use the igpu for my sensor panel as well as diagnosing visual issues.
Go for the K then
in a game. I'll show pic in a bit
Just a way to not have afterburner osd stuff* on the main screen imo. After a while I ignore osd, but haven't turned it off.
Ah
oh
It can be more than that, but essentially yeah.
Yeah, but you can do much more with it.
it's exactly that
It's not quite done. I'm still on the lookout for a good White GPU
I had the most beautiful looking white GPU, but AMD didn't react well with my system for some reason
It's part of the GPU. Has a few different features it can do.
damn thats sick
PAINT IT
SPRAY PAINT
VOID WARRANTY
on a brand new card lol
I'm waiting for it to go out before warranty is up when all the other 3080s are out of stock so they upgrade me to 40 series xD
Lol
bro i need to sleep
go sleep lol
You're forgiven
Thank you
That series is awesome
i just started a few hours ago and im already on chapter 50
and its 3:34
I'm addicted
Good case
Thanks.
Unfortunately it's gonna take 2-4 weeks to arrive. Same goes for the P14s.
It doesn't typically take that long unless it's backordered or coming from out of the country. They just say that for the worst case scenario.
hey, im starting off with my first build and am wondering if i can bet on making it far with thishttps://newegg.io/4ab6ad5
US, $1600
the most demanding thing ill be playing is heavily modded arma
Budget and country?
And what do you need included in the budget?
Looks like $1200 plus monitor
there we go
This works better for finding deals too https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
PC Builder
$1600 gets you 5700x and 3080
Easily
man i forgot about this website,
Do you care about looks and do you need wifi?
i dont care for looks but yeah dont have ethernet
Oh wait, 1600 for tower or tower plus monitor
tower + monitor
not really
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Unsure on mobo choice, fal might have a better suggestion for that
@vital pelican
oh wow thanks let me look it over
Could drop to a 6800xt phantom gaming oc if you want it a bit cheaper
Would still do great
nah thats perfect pricing
Would be fine with a 750w psu too
As long as it's a decent model ofc
Gtg for like 5-10min
alright]
wait did this link work?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/c8gB9r so would i be looking at better performance with this build?
oh
Ah
Another option to consider https://pcpartpicker.com/list/92dHQ6
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Yes can go cheaper on that, I started with a 12600k build and forgot to swap it lol
I am a d.f shill though
Yeah it's pretty consistently good, only very minor edge case issues
I hesitatantly trust tt, only because cultists do
Just plug the parts into pcpartpicker
oh
Tho I can confidently say falcies list is likely better
I wouldn't say "better" objectively speaking just different options to consider, like $5 more on the memory to get rgb
Never played a single ff game
Do you at least know why it's called final fantasy?
Ah, well the funny story is that Square (now Square Enix) was dying out not selling many games and this was their final attempt for the small studio's dream. It obviously caught on lol.
It's better to get the non-x and use the savings for 3600 memory. AMD likes that extra speed for faster infinity fabric.
Besides in gaming the non-x 5600 is nearly identical
Definitely. The 3060 you had doesn't even come close to the 6900xt and you get a good 1440p monitor out of it too
Here I fixed the cooler https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HcJy9r
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Both fals and mine are a good bit better
yo, i changed the ram mhz in bios to 3600 by accident when i had meant 3200
my pc wont boot now and is stuck on a black screen
the rgb lights up but no display
what should i do
Take out the cmos battery, wait 30 seconds, put it back in
I believe it's 30 seconds anyways
15?
15 is for the reset jumper/button
where would i find the cmos battery on the mb? im using gigabyte b550i
It's the little silver circle on the mobo with a black and red wire coming off of it
You'll need something thin to wedge it out
If you're stupid like me, I used a Swiss army knife. Wouldn't recommend that
There is a jumper, probably easier
how do i jump it?
.
mb
It usually embeds to say what the page is but discord being discord today
It says intel but it applies to all
its saying i need to power off my pc
when i try to press the pc power button nothing happens and it stays on
Hold the power button
Jinx
Can't believe you
Hold the power button
L
ty it turned off
(im using internet explorer)
W
Ah internet exploder, fun
Internet explorer>
If gigglebyte made a browser
sorry im a bit confused, if the cmos is underneath the heatsink how do i access it to jump it
Sometimes they stick those batteries in terrible places
You have a jumper next to the audio header
from what ive read the cmos pins should have a housing jumper
mine doesnt? the pins are exposed
Just touch the pins with something metal
Only 3 pin jumper headers come with a piece to jump them, so it has a "normal" and "clear" mode
Yep as long as it's not coated in something
alright, i just want to make sure
the screwdriver should be touching both the pins? or just 1
Both
and do i do this for 30 seconds aswell?
That creates a short circuit that drains the power from the memory cells
Jumpers are usually good with 10 seconds
Remember psu unplugged or switched off for this.
It may take a couple tries
yep i switched it off and unplugged it
With jumpers and buttons you sometimes want it plugged in actually so it's still grounded, but that varies by motherboard
This specific board doesn't specify so unplugged ig
What I'm referring to btw, on page 20 of the manual
Yeah there's a bit of charge left in the capacitors
solution?
psu is on now?
the pc is lit up and lights are on
im trying to shut it off by holding down the power button
and its just blinking
Oh, just switch it off
you sure? that wont brick anything right
Nah it's fine
praying ur right
That was a concern like 10 years ago but hardware has advanced a lot lol
Try something else to touch the pins, sometimes there's a clear coating on screwdrivers
I find knives work but be careful
alright
If it still doesn't work you can unplug the battery from it's cable, it's under the heatsink next to the lower USB ports
it worked
Ah good
tysm man
Happy to help
me when- me when y- your mom when i- me wh- you wh-
Debating between a 12100F or a 10100F
I really wanna get my PC up and running by the end of this month
But money is gonna be an issue since I'm on a tight budget
12100F easily if both are similar price
Nope
Does that board have wifi?
Yeah, can't do that
Plus the CPU doesn't have an iGPU, and I could get the regular 12100 at that price
Well, I've been on iGPU's basically all my life on the very few laptops I've used
I wanna be able to play my games on low graphics until I get my GPU
Fair enough
But I can go with the F variant if that's the case
Nah it's justified
I just dunno if the down grade to a 10100 from the 12100 (My initial plan) is gonna be worth it
Hm?
10400F is $133 brand new
Yeah
I dunno
Kinda why I came here to ask
I'm unsure if the downgrade is worth it
Thought it's not like a 1070 is gonna care
10100 is 106 new though, which is terribly priced
If 1070 is all you're using then you could go used and save a buck or two
Well, I'm probably gonna go with an F one since it's gonna save me money
5600G has an iGPU
ah thought you needed igpu
I would prefer one
However not a necessity, but thank you
Hi!
@mossy venture, I need a back up option if I can't afford the parts, would you know a good board with wifi that would work with 10th generation Intel CPU's?
any b560 with wifi
I think this is the cheapest board with wifi
i dunno if this is good but https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813157977?
why is it so long
i just noticed
this is a real big bottleneck no?
yeah
im not too well versed but i just gave it another lock and saw a price difference of several hundred dollars
it's more than fine
you normally want to be spending more on gpu
for gaming anyways
so is there a bottle neck present?
yes, but its impossible for there not to be
you'd have to compare the 5600 to the 5800x3d to see a noticeable difference
Every computer has a bottleneck. It can be a lot of things. GPU, CPU, RAM, even the game engine itself. It's literally impossible for there to be no bottleneck or else you'd get infinite fps.
Best practice is to aim for 100% GPU usage in your favorite games. The 5600 can support that with rare exceptions, mostly not hardware related.
hmm alright
worst case comes to worse i can upgrade
You shouldn't need to unless you're playing at 1080p low settings. Even 1080p high becomes GPU limited usually.
alright, thanks for the help
What do you think? https://newegg.io/ec349cc.
Pretty new to this, and I actually have a zotac 3090 trinity gpu
That’s cheaper for sure, I want a bigger monitor though. 😁
g32q
m32q*
yo im trying to install drivers for my new pc and they are going onto my pc but they aren’t actually downloading
my motherboard (gigabyte b550i aurous pro) has onboard wifi and a wifi adapter yet when i try to install the wifi drivers the gigabyte driver installer just closes and doesnt give any messages
none of the drivers do anything apart from the bluetooth driver for some reason
any tips?
Is windows update not grabbing the correct drivers?
you'd still need GPU drivers and other stuff. Windows doesn't take care of that kind of stuff
Guys if I have an Nvidia gpu and i want to upgrade to an AMD gpu, do i need to replace anything on my computer?
!ddu
DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Guide by Pato
https://github.com/NeweggTechie/Graphics-cards/wiki/How-to-use-DDU
@potent portal what would I need to run a game server? Would I need mid cpu or something like if I wanna run multiple game servers
Like I have i3 we thought about running minecraft server and satisfactory server on it
It depends on the game but I don't think either of those is too demanding until you put hundreds of mods in.
You definitely need lots of RAM if you're going to be using a Minecraft world for a long time. Here's the minimum for a new Minecraft world, note it'll use a little more resources the more chunks you explore.
It should be noted that these suggestion presume default settings in server.conf - i.e., a Draw Distance no higher than 10, and is also based on a new world; the bigger the world gets, especially if there's advanced redstone circuitry at work, the requirements - especially the RAM, or in the case of lots of redstone or mobs (in e.g. grinders), t...
Note that you can make do with even an ancient Pentium. A modern i3 would be fine.
Satisfactory is a fair bit more demanding, requiring a Ryzen 3600 or modern i3 minimum and another 16GB of RAM just for the server and 4 players. https://satisfactory.fandom.com/wiki/Dedicated_servers
With people playing on both at the same time with mods I'd consider an i7 8700 (12 threads) or a Ryzen 5600, with 64GB of RAM. Note that both servers prefer higher single core speed. You could technically do it with an i3 12100 but not with more than a couple players on either server.
@wheat olive tip with your 4000D
dont run your gpu cables like that
theres a cutout right here for them
allows you to sneak away withs tuff like that
lot easer to do
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GF7XZw any improvements that can be made around the same price? (i cant change the case)
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower
nothing really
Dang. Throws money at a 12900k and only gets a 3050.
OOF if not lol
Well 1st thing I'd do is wait 4 days and get the 13600kf
And I'd change aio etc
Do you want to overclock?
Pato
What was the reason again for swapping galahad
I forgot
The thing with 12th gen

Galahad is fine but they where shipping lga1700 brackets from china with like 1 month of so wait, probably fine now but idk especially since that's the old model not with unifans
Also prevents using matching fans
Lol
I wonder.. that might explain the flimsy feeling bracket mine came with.
Thats why I went with using the Arctic bracket
wait, they were shipping just the bracket and it was taking that long? Or they were shipping the whole unit?
Mine came with the bracket, but got mine from BH.
If you don't wanna oc (can go ak620 instead but seems you want aio)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QzH4jZ
If you wanna oc

PC Builder - Intel Core i5-13600KF, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower
Just bracket iirc but did you get unifan or no unifan version?
I got the ST fans
Deepcool
What is so great about the deepcool? lol
The cooler is actually stupid good on lga1700
It has a really good pump, does it a lot of justice
I see. The coldplate makes really good contact too then?
nice. If I didn't already have 2 360 aio, I'd nab it. Although, does it come in white?
It does
I was totally looking into making an infinity mirror for the front of my case.
Is it worth over what you already have? No
I found a really good vid on reddit where some guy made one that you can still see into the PC, but it has the infinity effect. it's dope.
I think there's an inwin case with an infinity mirror
There's also that tetris one lol
yeah but making one is pretty cheap.
yeah, I was looking at how my case is and I have room to put one as a side panel as well.
It's just a thought for my atm.
I'd rather switch to 13th gen and custom loop first.
Custom if you go i9 or i7 I hope
Of course my love.
Mine ships on the 20th iirc
I'm thinking of retiring the 10850K and moving the 5900X into that
quick Q on custom loop. Does it matter which way the flow is? I mean like.. CPU > GPU or vice versa?
Might also just put the 5900X into a new build and sell it tho using spares
Not really no
I would probably build another pc for the 12600k and sell it.
or maybe just keep it as a backup just in case.
You might get a 1C or 2C variation on different parts of the loop but it shouldn't be dramatic
I see ok
EK website said my temps would be 27c under load?
or is that unrealistic?
that's awesome. Even on GPU?
Depends on how good your mount is ofc
Ye
CPU likely won't always stay that low but you'll see a good few C in the gpu (or at least more boost)
Would also consider heatkiller btw
Yeah but mp34 better
Talk to Hay for recommendations, not as much my field but I know EK isn't the first choice here
heatkiller?
I'm open to any suggestions of where to go to get the stuff I need. EK is like $1.2k for a whole loop.
that includes the RAM
Just seen this. OK
Don't waterloop your ram unless you do like, serious serious overclocking
Not worth it
I do currently push 4000c16 on a 3200 kit
Not serious enough
I would like to go higher.
I mean more like throwing high voltage that is definitely not a daily thing
No it's more just redundant unless you really know what you're doing
I wouldn't call myself worthy of it really
I didn't really want the ram in the loop, I just figured I'd see how much it was.
it's only like $100 difference to add the RAM into the loop
You can still add that later though if you find yourself wanting to bench your kit really hard
Water cool a hard drive
For just daily stuff I wouldn't do it tho
yeah I'll be fine without it.
Ram loop such a waste of money
hdd loop>
Lol
I'm high maintenance.
strix 3050, which likely cost more than a 6650xt, with a 12900k
what
100% could have done a 12600k 6800xt for the same price if not less
^
@fossil cedar will a 10105 work on MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI?
Yes
Just none of the K features will work
Weird pairing but I'm guessing this is spare parts
That's fine. I found a good deal on the board and CPU so I'm going to grab them for my daughter's build.
will be paying half cost for both
board is new / cpu is used
how much total?
$100 + shipping
nice
Okay
not badly enough that i'd bother upgrading it
unless going to a 5800x3d or 13th gen
maybe a little. I would just upgrade the CPU next, rather than the GPU after getting that 3080 Ti
Hi
So uh
I found an old PC and i need help to attach all the wires to the motherboard
How do i remove this fan for cleaning
Shows how to remove an Intel CPU and heatsink for socket LGA 1150
I made a platform tailor made to help share quick how to videos just like this one! https://relay.how
https://www.producthunt.com/posts/relay-f40404ec-11e3-450d-a914-69de4c3fd134
If you're putting together a PC for the very first time, chances are you'll want to know how to install a Power Supply. With several different types of Power Supplies available, some with cables attached and some fully modular it can get confusing knowing what is what and what cables you will need, so that is the question we're answering for you...
Watch these two videos and you should be good.
No new news there 😛
Whats supposed to be here
those are 5.25" drive/expansion bays. you can put stuff like an optical drive or extra ports there. but if you don't have any of those, then I wouldn't worry about it
power for some part (it should say on the connector)
it should say something like "SATA," "PCIe," stuff like that
one of them should say "CPU" on it
also, Google helps a lot
should I get a 13600kf (€390, the normal 13600k is €420) or the 5800x3d (€440)? (in terms of total price for the pc it's the same)
if you just game
5800x3d
if you do other stuff too like workstation and video rendering, 13600kf
https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/xgdF3y is this good?
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-13600KF, Radeon RX 6800, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
You’ll likely need a bios update for the 13600k to work on that board. That’s also expensive for a B series board.
hold up why doesn't it have bios flashback
What's your budget? Also pc part picker isn't always the best for nl
1500-1600
lemme have a look
I could also get a board without wifi and get a separate wifi card
just that with the b550 boards it came out to about the same price
id do this https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/zqprLs
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-13600KF, Radeon RX 6800, Deepcool CG560 ATX Mid Tower
why an aio?
also thank you I will definitely get that motherboard
wait is the top or the second m.2 slot pcie gen4?
13600k is gonna be hot, also you could go with an air cooler like ak620 but that doesn't have rgb
it's gonna be that hot?
Well hotter than anything in the €20-65 category can reasonably cool imo
Ak620 is a good choice at 70ish but after you make it rgb
Might as well get aio
Ah well you can also do the deepcool ak620 then if you want
So there is a chance I might sell my current PC without drives hopefully around $3k and if I do I would want to do a new build sub $2K and use Nvidia GPU only https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WnRz9r and this doesn't have storage as I already have that covered
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-13600KF, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, HYTE Y60 ATX Mid Tower
what is your current pc?
Let me build that list real fast without the storage drives
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR, Corsair 5000D ATX Mid Tower
i wouldn't really recc that mobo or case
for the first build
also how tf you selling that for 3k
no way you're getting more than 1.1k for the gpu
Plus I can provide new drives for them so that would put it around 3k if I did a few m.2s
Plus I can upsale the ram due to the status of ballistix
i don't really think so
i guess well wait and see but i dont see it selling for more than 2k
I got a few ideas
no
Can you send me something that is a good deal then?
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qFytt6/msi-geforce-rtx-3080-12gb-lhr-12-gb-gaming-z-trio-video-card-geforce-rtx-3080-gaming-z-trio-12g-lhr or https://pcpartpicker.com/product/sG6p99/pny-geforce-rtx-3080-12gb-lhr-12-gb-uprising-video-card-vcg308012ltfmpb
Alright thank yo
the guy has a 1080ti and was wondering if upgrading to a 3080ti without upgrading cpu would be a bad idea. This was before he told me he had a $2500 budget to build a new PC lol
If you're spending closer to 2k might as well wait for 4080
I wanna wait till I see results for vr benchmarks
Even if you don't get 4080 it will probs push 3080 prices down so
Also it's obvs gonna be good bit better than 3080
Especially with 16gb will probs be useful
You really want that hyte case?
o11 air mini is a kinda similar look
Just want something that could hold the length of the 30 and 40 series card but not too much space
yeah, he still needs a 1440p monitor as well.
g360a is half the price
I meant upgrade the GPU, then the CPU, and then the GPU again
I've already got my monitors just selling current build for a different style system but not RGB vomit
011 air mini is actually pretty great for $100ish. Will hold most 40 series models considering can fit 3x120mm fans, but double check inside case space.
@formal girder imo you should bring your ram forward to your current system although someone might pay extra for 64gb 🤷
But you could probably stick 3200c16 2x16gb in pc you're selling and they would be v happy
I'm gonna try to market it as a dual purpose PC for gaming and work
Fair
Plus I'd get a slight perf boost and extra money when I do sell and build new pc
Also so no rgb?
I'm not big on rgb at all
Okie
If there's a different suggestion for parts but due note I need USB ports mainly USB A ports while the mobo would need minimum of 1 for me to use quest link
Id do something like this gpu dependant on time
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HPtQgb
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-13600KF, Lian Li O11 Air Mini ATX Mid Tower
That one has 9 usb a ports?
Maybe you meant at least 1 usb c?
Yeah
I have a friend that is looking to buy a prebuilt with a $950 budget, does anyone know any decent builds for that price?
h510 flow doesnt deserve the hate, my gpu is topped out rn and im sat at 80 degrees
also if u want to run dying light 2 on max settings ur gonna need more than 16gb of ram
as i have just learnt
my gpu sits at 65c under max load
and h510 flow is ok, it's the other models that suck
especially the elite
how many case fans u got
the flow is just overpriced for what it is
The rest of your system is using 9gb of ram??
g360a same price and much better
yeah i use voicemod which uses quite a bit and i have spotify and discord open too, then all windows processes
it all stacks up
and obv like 60 launchers i havent been bothered to turn them off from running in the background
im using 10.7gb of ram with discord, 3 chrome tabs, and valorant open
also a good few background tasks
that uses quite a bit
fr if ur at 5.5gb ram usage then u prob spent half ur life sorting out what background tasks you REALLY need
i dont have that time
it's very simple to do
people who need room for other tasks
its only doing it cos im doing it deliberately
to see how hot it gets
dl2 is currently using 3.3gb of ram, my usage is at 50%
meaning
everything else is using 4.7
not the 9gb guess that was made here
oh right i see
Reason: Bad word usage
omg
80c is very hot for a gpu
Fyi
That's equivalent to saying like 95c on a cpu
not when its at 100% usage
Hotspots different
83c
I'm running occt stress test for 3d on gpu rn and getting 67c and 84c hotspot
Granted that's with an undervolt
Cuz uv op
83c is when 30 series throttles
I run my case fans at 80% and gpu fans at 90% in a room that is 26c and my gpu gets 93c hotspot and 79c regular
that's about 12 hours of Apex.
12 hours?
yeah
thats getting into nolife hours
I've been playing Apex all night/day
Lol how
I generally work 12 hours a day 7 days a week. I'm enjoying my couple days off atm 😛
Anyway 79c plus you literally have a 3080 12gb so ofc it's gonna be pretty hot
Impressive tho lol
yeah but I thought that massive cooler on this Aorus Master would keep it from getting that hot.
i have a 2060 super that i constantly run at 80% fans
like im sorry 2060s arent particularly known for running cool are they
Yeah they're a pretty cool card
Welp you do have an o11 or something right?
5000D Airflow
ST120s
Hmm
Maybe try make them not constant 80 and let them go higher in curve if the noise is okay for you
But yeah 3080s just run hot
I tried that, but when I'm gaming I gotta have them at constant 80 or more to keep my GPU temps down. I don't want to run them at 100 because that's bad right? I could try 90...
Nah it's fine
Like yes the faster they go the less they'll last time wise but not by a huge amount
And anyway case fans are way easier and cheaper to replace than gpu fans so
Imo crank the case fans if that's what's needed
Also undervolt can see a huge drop in temps
I haven't the knowledge to do that yet. I spent my weekend playing Apex lol.
about to go to bed to start my week (if you can call it that) of work again.
It's pretty easy, there's a guide pinned in #graphics-cards
I know. I'm usually just so tired it doesn't make sense to me.
Those fans aint gonna be happy
Or alive for too long
Meanwhile me hitting 105C
Exquise me
My 3080 12gb when at 100% was running around 55-60C soooooo
Yikies
Unstock it
80C when under full load is tragic
thats borderline throttling temperatures
my 2070 under full load only reached 75 peak with fans running at max on a dinky cooler
it's a ventus, by the way
granted, i actually had airflow
its a 2nd hand gpu anyway they werent gonna live long either way
What uh no
2060
right, a gpu
nearly everything in my build is 2nd hand
Thats perfectly fine
excluding case, cpu, and motherboard
the fact that it's used isn't the reason it's fans are going to die early
Only if the previous owner was as careless as you and mistreated it as well
you running it constantly at 80% rpm is
or, this
in addition to you abusing it lol
i set it to 80% when playing games cos anything above that is unbearably loud
so actually ive extended its life span
cos the fans arent going as much as they were on auto
if you got a case with real airflow
it would run even less fast
and extend its lifespan
the only problem with the h510 flow is the underside of the gpu
which is exactly where the air goes into the gpu?
this is true
man i wonder why your temps are so high
Only problem with the h510 airflow is that its a horrible overpriced h510 but holes
10$ on wish.com makes h510 into h510 airflow
true, or 0 dollars and an electric drill
Less of a waste than nzxt products
which is nothing compared to the amount of electricity used by the fans to keep the gpu cool 🙂
thats fair
but
bare in mind
i also havent cleaned the dust filter in ab a month
so
that obv is restricting airflow too
I havent in like 4 months lol
same
so if i cleaned that i reckon that 80 celcius would drop a bit
my temps are still under 80
also like
And i have 2 cats who shed a lot
oof cat hair
And that's fine, but why are you defending the h510 flow
My first build had much worse issues
I spend $150 on a mediocre case, $150 on a bad psu
cos its not AS bad as the reputation says
I dropped a screwdriver on my motherboard three times
For the price, its awful
Woula been aight at like 70 dollar maximum
never disagreed with that
Ofc not. There's not a single case I can think of that would
its overpriced asf
Well
there's probably cases out there that can kill your pc
but if you even mention it to some people they will act like you just stabbed their mum
"WHAT NO YOU CANT USE THAT CASE IT HAS .2 DEGREES HOTTER THAN THIS ONE FOR THE SAME PRICE HOW DARE YOU"
Nzxt h1 comes to mind
ive had a 5 degree difference used as an argument before
Fellx

That's a fair argument tho, if you ever want to eek every inch of performance out of the system at any point you're knee capping yourself
but im never gonna do that
That said, I don't find the flow straight terrible, it helps a niche have at least regular airflow
besides the h510 has like the perfect look for my setup
so
aesthetic did sway me a bit
Etsy been doin that for years lololol
Y'all nzxt fans want a box and that flow case is like the only way that does it at a decent price
True
Like all the other nzxt cases prior to it are just worse on so many levels tho
I feel the need to once again bring up the h1
okay but we do have to agree the h510 is really good looking
despite the awful performance
its really good looking
Not really
I know people like it, hence why I say it fills a niche having a flow case
H510 is what you get when you open a box and a smaller box comes out
Now this...
This is a good looking case
ugly
Reason: Bad word usage
bro
i hate that so much
why
just let me speak
or just like copy the message and censor the word its so inconvenient to retype the whole thing
its always on the longer messages too
It's fine if you don't like it, that's what makes me glad the flow exists cos then you can have a decent option for what you want
pretty close to the nzxt h510 look lol
torrent is a different beast entirely
Indeed
WHAT
yeah
IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE A H510
Lol
literally only difference is the damn front panel
Although the case i simp for is not a thing outside of asian markets
THE H510 IS A LITERAL CUBOID
I mean he's not really wrong, these are all boxes
thats bevelled
Use motherboard box as case
Actually I see it now that you put them side by side haha
but other than that it's effectively identical
NOW THIS IS A CUTE BOI
@cyan ravine @jagged ember
Allow me to introduce my favourite case
The 690 air
https://antesports.com/products/ant-esports-690-air-mid-tower-argb-gaming-cabinet
The Ant Esports 690 Air is a gaming cabinet delivering high-end premium features at a pocket-friendly price tag. The case supports up to E-ATX motherboards, multiple storage drives, and liquid coolers up to 360mm on top making it ideal for high-end gaming or production systems. With a front mesh panel with a magnetic d
nice
Its actually top tier
Ooo i like that too actually
i like men
dat mesh
Top 360 rad mount
It reminds me of a more sharp edged deepcool case
Side mount as well
All for 6k indian rupees
So around 65-70 usd
Wait i actually did a build in it a little while back lemme show
You'd be cutting it close with that ram clearance maybe
Depends on board tho
Ya pretty much
Lol
Shoots you thru the brains with frames

Nah
The build i did in it
Eh that's actually good clearance
Yep
Pics don't do justice
And for like 65$
It is in my opinion the best case
Sadly i havent seen it outside asia
Some cases you only find in asia are stonks
Indeed
And the best part is this case has magnetic front panel too
Super easy to clean
All magnetic mesh on top, front and side as well
Dream case.
Depends on the rest of the system
If you really want a cube look I find the o11 air mini a reasonable choice
P400A digital if you like rgb and not destroying your budget, G360A too. If you want the best of the best for top tier parts it's another game entirely.
Yeah we normally suggest g360a around here as it's quite versatile with a 360 top mount
Indeed
2060 super, b460 torpedo, 16gb ram (idk ab exact specs), 2tb hdd 7200rpm, 500gb m.2 ssd, i5 10400f with stock cooler
Mx330-g air
pic
case go brr
The honeycomb style mesh is nice yeah
I don't believe so
could also get the p400a, p360a or g360a
okay is there any cases u would reccomend that come in white
I'll look for a white case
Both of the ones I recommended do
