Whether extensions are worth it is up to you. Do your stock ones look bad enough to you to warrant replacing them, or are they too short? It might be worth it in those cases.
The difference between extensions and custom cable replacement is with extensions they attach to your existing cables, while custom can be sized to the exact length you need and are made for your specific power supply to replace the stock ones.

keep in mind that extensions are like $15-$25, while full cable replacements are $200+

Using a MB that has fusion 2.0. Noticed it has different rgb options for my fans and cable extensions but for the board and everything else connected to it the options are limited, so it's like having two different patterns going. As far as other MB with their rgb lightning affects are they like this as well? Is their one that's considered better than the others for it's lighting effects?

Check out SignalRGB. It's still in beta, but are actively working to make as many devices as can compatible with it. You can even control external lighting such as smart lights and whatnot. If your device is not supported head over to the server and someone can get a plugin made to support it. (There is already a large database of what's supported so chances are you'll be good to go right away.)

If that doesn't sound appealing, you could try OpenRGB. That has a little simpler UI and works alright. I myself have noticed some bugginess.

SignalRGB interacts with the hardware directly, whereas all the other lighting softwares work through an SDK.

In normal circumstances you could lay the pc flat on the cable management side. However, since you stated bumpy dirt roads, I would most definitely take GPU out.

As for storing the GPU, if you still have the box it came in (assuming you built your PC), put it in there. If you don't, try to put it in some container that it won't move around in. You can add something like crumpled up newspaper around it so it doesn't move as much if the box is slightly to big. If you have bags of air that a lot of electronics ship with, that would work great as well.

If you have none of this, then just put in your back seat and buckle it up, but if you go this route, make sure there is some sort of padding between the seat belt and the GPU (can't have your baby getting whiplash ).

This is what I would consider the safest options. I'm sure there are others than what I can think of atm.

I have a 420mm arctic freezer AIO top mounted in a Meshify 2 XL ATX Full Tower.

as for my brothers pcs, they just have little bitty intel cpu coolers that came on em ( we got theirs prebuilt on a payment deal, as we couldnt afford straight parts at the time)
I dont have the box for the gpus as my gpu is out of my old build that died, (also prebuilt) then I built this one and used the gpu out of the old one.

We weren't talking about a case fan though. I actually like plain old "DC" settings. Less speed changes. 7v setups was a common thing in the past for certain fans and extra low noise. Of course some fans can only go so low on voltage before stopping.

I need help. I have an HP Elitedesk that I thought I could upgrade to a 650 Watt power supply and a bigger graphics card only to discover I can't. Problem is, when I put my old power supply back in the computer won't boot up at all. I think the old power supply is fried, but my question now is how to build a new machine that could handle the components I bought.

3600cl16 I got error but on 3500cl16 I got nothing sips did say to work on timing but I just left them as is

hey im running a 2060 super and idk whether i should be using automatic fan speed or manual, the automatic the fans get unbearably loud at around 70 degrees but with manual on 85% speed (roughly the limit before the noise becomes too much) it runs hotter, should i just stick with automatic and deal with the noise or should i switch to manual and deal with higher temps?

it wouldnt really be a problem but any game that doesnt have an fps cap in it other than vsync causes my pc to obviously go really loud really quickly, this happens with basically any source game (yes i know you can cap the framerate in launch conditions), warthunder, and dl2
