6600xt is below a 3060ti on performance, while the 6700xt is slightly better than the 60ti
not really, no
Dont worry about it lol
Amazon ridiculous
lately amd cards are the better choice in price/performance
unless you need the cuda cores for cad things, amd beats nvidia these days
nor that it matters this gen
Yah
That's pretty much the question I asked
"Rtx or no"
Idk maybe
unless you can get a 6700xt at a really low price i should stick to 6600xt for 1440p and jump directly to 6800xt for 4k
Maybe with an oc
6700xt is not that far from the 6600xt, much like a 60ti from a 3070, thats why you skip from 60ti to 3080 directly unless you get a real cheap deal on a 3070/70ti

Hello People,
Today with another GPU comparison video, but this time with the recently released RX 6700!
Now, what to pick? R...
I just skimmed thru it
Whar
then i have my facts wrong on the 6700xt 🤨
3060ti and 3070 is not a marginal difference...
you have your facts wrong on both my guy
hmm noted
i truly dont know why everyone acts like the 3070 and 3060ti are the same thing
lol
i was under the impression of a 10% so so
Even if it was
they truly are not
even my laptop 3070 beats a desktop 3060ti
calling 6700xt and 6600xt the same thing is like calling 3060ti and 3060 the same thing
6600xt is the 3060 competitor and 6700xt is the 3060ti competitor
yeah this one i had it right, the other wrong
good thing to have it clarified
this video calls R5 5600X a 12 core cpu
Aint no way bruh lol
thats a common mistake, to call threads as cores
Like i said i just skipped thru the vid
Pcmr liked to push that 3060ti oced could match 3070, without caring that 3070 could be OCed
much like the Mhz on Megatransfers in memory
what on earth
that's the thing... stock 3070 can't even be matched by oc 3060ti unless you win silicon lottery
Seems legit
and 3070s generally have far more headroom than 3060tis as well
Mhm
since 3060ti is literally just a low bin 3070
3060ti OCed could get within like 5% of 3070 and that was good enough for people
a lot of youtube benchmarks are complete garbage
more fake benchmarks than real ones
Unleash the gaming cooler
Powercolor is nice
Yea
More that don't really know what they're doing
i mean sure, until you oc the 3070 to a 20% lead
Yup
i wanna see someone get anywhere close to this on an unmodified 3060ti
Like I'll agree 3060ti is great value in the Nvidia stack but it's not a 3070 for 100$ cheaper
This was my first stock run iirc
https://www.3dmark.com/spy/26291283
I will now try the 3d mark demo
As I am curious
This was on a slight OC
https://www.3dmark.com/spy/27310514
Time spy time
It's only a few pounds
I hope you can
probably not stock
Lol
Oh lol
Oh maybe
Depends what the hwbot post was for
Did a cpu one for the intel open thingy on stock gpu iirirc
Cuz bench os
Kek
laptop gaming
Prob sounds like a jet engine
sad, laptop cpu hotter
"Powered by Nvidia"
Okay lego star wars
i just googled 3060ti time spy results and yours showed up lmao
i've never had a 3060ti so i need to compare to others instead of my own 😦
well i had 2 3060tis i just never got to open them
google knows i love you so it showed me your time spy
I should buy a busted gpu just to display
i should ask asus for my broken 3090 back
I want one
"No buzz off"
Lol
Lol
Still salty my top 100 score didn't get counted and I couldn't repeat it
Did u buy em or get them sent to u
Nicee
I entered shuffle 60 something times
so i did a lil sharing of the kindness
Just found a molex connector that runs from my case to my psu, do I really need to plug it in cause I don't even use molex?
Oc'd i get 12945 idk if that's the highest but good nough
i won like 6 gpus off of shuffle i think, 3 went to friends immediately, 1 went to a friend eventually
My highest is I think 13200
Highest that counted was 12900 something
i was just demonstrating that if oced 3060ti is barely even beating my laptop 3070, you can assume 3060ti and 3070 are not the same graphics card lol
i am tired of people saying they are the same card
17% both stock
Oh really?
3070 has more oc headroom in general
Thought it was much less
Haven't done anything OC related
Especially considering how many 3060 tis are single pin
my air cooled 3070 chilling at 15488
Mostly cause idk how
I'm planning to bench some more when I buy my new cpu
lmao right now i feel like theres no point benching when i have an i3
I might get into cpu ocing and ram tuning, though atm I don't have much spare time
I ain't good at all that
Empty ur recycling bin lol
i should do i3 time spy
no
Days that I work and have school, I literally have 0 free time
i wonder if my i3 beats ryzen 5 3600 in time spy yet
Go to school at 6:45, leave work at 9pm
Probably
maybe i'll do it after i finish retuning my ram
I think mine gets 7700?
last step is to tune tREFI
Don't quote me on that, but its def in the mid 7000s
I hear the "oc the 6700xt for a 6750xt" joke alot
Is the 6750xt that bad
Or somrthin
Its about 3070 ti I believe
Which is barely better than 3070
no
Oh right yeah
My temps are pretty good tho
3070ti is more like the 6800
Didn't realize the stock difference was that much tho yikes
Well while we're talking about this, wb 6900xt and 6950xt?
Better pic my bad
if guru3d is to be believed
Because I've thought it was very close, but if I'm wrong I'd like to be corrected rather than tell others false info
i think your gpu was running hotter than my laptop gpu
My 3060 ti sits under 70c with 100% on fans iirc
During timespy
Not that that's sustainable
I prob should try an OC
My psu should be good enough
I'll harass people in the OC channel about it
Nope, 14th
i hope there are no more 4gb cards xx50 cards next generation
I don’t remember who all here had helped but wanted to happily update y’all, the 3070 is in! Now to sell a 1660 🤣
3050ti losing to 1660ti mobile
4040 3gb when
4060 2gb when
It's actually embarrassing
4090 512mb when
life was happier when i didn't remember the rtx 2050
When 1660 ti is basically 2050 ti no RT and it beats 3050 ti kek
Idk why nvidia keeps making so many low end gpus that compete with eachother
Lol
Yes
Low profile 6600 when
6500xt and 6400 should've been pcie powered and low profile
Isn't the 6400 pcie powered?
one other quick question, if u guys built a pc how long did it take u
Like 3 hours because I am bad at it
i thought that was short lmao
There's the a2000
But it's like $800
Yeah
Genuinely would go down to 1080p for it
Imagine a SFF case with it
Or something like that
Such a cool little card
depends on the pc and the amount of effort you're putting into it
my first build was 3 hours
my current build was also 3 hours but it has a ridiculous amount of extra cosmetic stuff
my best speedrun thus far is 2 mins 13 sec
Rebuilding only took me some 2 hours
Probably not good but eh
Modular psu really helped
Comparatively, it took me like 45min just to put a new psu in lmao. Just varies on experience
worst part was putting the fan onto the cpu cooler with those paper clips
Also took me like 40min to literally just put a new heatsink in because I couldn't get the little plate behind the motherboard to stay still
And I dropped a screw driver on my motherboard three times while doing so
Somehow didn't break
Idk who allowed me to mess with pcs but they should be fired
You
This took me like an hour to do
Oh hey same heatsink I think
I'm just built different
224xt right?
Yea
Just put on a spare arctic fan
probably better then stock?
6700xt is so long lmao
There's nothing I can say to that that won't sound dirty
"Hopefully runs cool"
Well I was going to say "I think my 3060 ti is bigger" but...
I drink diet coke, it balances out the 6 cakes I eat for breakfast
Real
America, land of guns and cheeseburgers
Just scribble it out and write 1080p
720p*
Real ps3 gaming
I run 1080p on my 3060 ti
1080i
I also ran a 6800xt at 1080p
That's ps2
I prefer resolution to crazy high fps
Oh ya lol
1440p for the games I play?
Frame rates are over 120fps usually
I only use high settings because lmao
Looks the same as very high to me
Bruh
I would be playing at 1440p, but amazon canceled my order
Ok nvm
Rip
Can the 730 even output 4k lmao
I bought an m27q-x for $320
No
But rip
Mmmm Google spread sheets
Well the official spec says yes it outputs 4k
4k 48fps
At 24hz
Clearly all you're doing at that level of gpu is like
Lol
True
I can see the appeal of a low profile in an office computer or somethin
Just for movies and all that
I love ebay
I hate ebay
They tried charging me $90 for canceling a listing
I just made a new account
Because no
"Ebay"
Optimus prime
I had to pay $50 for canceling a bid no one bidded one
Two hours later and I've finished
Nice
Is that blocking a ram slot
Or is it a weird angle
Elaborate
Ah
Must have been the angle lol
Looks it from the picture
I'll take photos of the back but here is what it was before
No care given for my boot drive
After
@fossil cedar when is Intel 13th gen "rumored" to come out
october
Yeah but it was negligent still that I just had it there loosely hanging
Also the bloody bulge
The k cpus will come out in October
I lay it in the hdd cage and call it a day
Could I build a system and wait for 13th gen to come out
be like sips
Like maybe get a i3 with igpu system
That's what I did lol, I put it underneath it and made sure it wouldn't touch the hot hdd and called it done
That's what I was thinking
I just don't use a hdd
I am impatient
I have an nvme boot and ssd for storage
Might buy another NVME when black Friday rolls around
i thought on that as well... but i will wait, maybe 760s mobos have nice upgrades over the actual 660s
Sure i thought you already had a 12100 tho?
No
Like I said before it's not mine
I don't have access to it anymore
I don't have any claims to it
Brb I'm going to PC partpicker
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FtBMyK @fossil cedar ill get this cheap CPU haha
PC Builder - Intel Celeron G6900, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
Sure although I'd go different ssd and ram tbh
yea i just changed cpu on this list nothing else
Yea I'm gunn change some stuff
PC Builder - Intel Celeron G6900, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
Can never have to much wattage

Nah for real tho can someone pick me out a high wattage power supply idk what's good

yeah though the same xD nothing against royals (if you have the money go ahead) but 4000c18 on quad D:
this destroyed my heart 🤢

Why
Why in gods name would anyone even need 2000W even with 2 GPUs
Bruh
Hahahahahaa
@mighty lantern 4090 wants to say hello
I mean with current gen tho
I'm not going currently gen and even then 3090 ti pulls 1200W
What
still
I mean who even uses the 3090ti anyways tho 😂
@analog pulsar For next gen you should aim to a atx3.0 compliant psu, you will probably need 2x12vhpwr connectors
3090 Ti pulls with 650W excursions
not that hela unit
3090ti is not even worth it over the 3090 since the performance difference is so small for the increase in power consumption
1200W is a kingpin vbios made with no protections in mind and pure xoc
You'll never pull that much lol
Not to mention next gen is just, it's basically here and we're talking about a last gen card
spaghetti monster
It won't be more than a 2x12vhpwr
Unless you want a block of metal for your workstation
wondering what headset to upgrade to? Ive had corsair virtuosos for a while but now the cushions are degrading bc of humidity. (what about iems, been looking into them but not sure)
you cant purchase some new cushions for yours? im under the impression that the virtuoso are top tier headphones, they should have ear cushion replacements available
they dont tho that the problem, they also dont have battery replacements
battery says its should be long but now its lasting 2ish hrs max
yea they were great
Find me 1
PC Builder - Intel Celeron G6900, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
Maybe this
Power supply and ram be changed idk what to get
🤔
I know it's just a stop gap but celeron with a 360mm is funny lol
Also that 4400mhz ram will likely have issues
Anything over 3200mhz will have issues with a locked chip
Psu is also disgustingly priced
Yes funny but it's temp holder for 13th gen
I see
Hm yea I mean what's i3 highest mhz can go
That is exactly what I said
Oh that's what stop gap means
I am attempting to put together a pc build for the first time and was wondering if anyone could help me
My budget is 1300
Country?
Good like 80% of people on here is from the US so i would assume the US
No stop assuming
more like 50% you will be surprised to see the diversity here
in fact most of the time ppl that ask for help are canadians
thats why bacca ask about it everytime instead of assuming

Is it better for pumps to have them going all the time or should I shut down my PC when not in use? I have an aio for my CPU and a seperate aio for my GPU. I'm more worried about algea and other build up vs lifespan
I mean isn't there cleaning processes and cleaners?
There is. but I'd rather do it, for example, every 6 months with my thermal paste vs monthly
Cause every cleaning requires reapplication of thermal paste as well
So ...
You repaste every 6 months?
6 months to a year
Oh to a year that's what I do
You got it on a desk I hope
I de-dust/fur once a month and repast 6 months to a year depending on use
If dust is a big issue at least elevate it
With cardboard underneath to prevent scratches and such
The fridge is about 3-4 ft tall
Full of soda and two tubs of cookie dough 🤤🤤
Once I get my own place and move out of parents I plan to build my own desk and either build the PC into the desk or make a holder for it.
The desk will also be collapsible, almost like Legos
Ikea pretty much
But more custom
Modular
Like... literally make it myself
I wanna really build a sleeper
Mines anything but 😂😂😂
Idk why but I have the urge to go to a flea market and find an old pc and upgrade the crap out if it
Mines over in #build-pics if you wanna see it
I seen it, I was the one who spoke to you about tubed and rad positions about 7-8 hours ago
Ahh I remember now
Yessir
More like 12 plus lol
Usually I'm never up this late but I got a lot of sleep the night before so I'm not tired
I work nights....
Im not working... but I have a interview next Monday. I quit my old job at Tim Hortons lol they didn't provide enough for my extensive pc needs
Anyway what's your pc specs?
Uhh....give me a sec to type it all out
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
CPU cooler: Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora pro 360mm
GPU: Asus ROG Strix OC Gaming 3080 10GB RTX
GPU cooler: Alphacool Eiswolf 2 360mm
Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-Fi x570
PSU: Asus ROG Thor 850w 80+ platinum
Case: Asus tuff gt501
Ram: 4x8GB 3200mhz cl16 Corsair Vengeance RGB pro
Storage: 3x1TB SN850, 1tb 980 pro, 2tb crucial bx500
Let me know if I'm missing anything
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/q7JY2m
But btw your rams not gonna run at xmp with that cpu
PC Builder - Intel Celeron G6900, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
Something like this that I made for my own tower?
Kinda, but an actual full on desk
I'll have channels to route power cables and then panels to go over the channels to hide them
Probably gonna be made out of 2x4s and plywood
Similar materials to yours
Yeah. It was pretty cheap to make.
And im.thinking of actually integrating the PC INTO the desk
Like the PC will be built into the desk table with a polycarbonate top so you can see inside....or something similar
And the intake fans will be the left/right side of the table and the rear of the table will be exhaust
What you think? @frigid night
the cpu is a place holder, much like sips i3
as long as those sticks work for now, it should be fine i guess
Indeed just letting them know
Okay btw in gunna change cpu to an i3
I might wait a bit before I decide which one I want. I want to look at what thermals people are getting on which cpu with which AIOs
Thermals are gonna be better
This was confirmed by Dyno
There's more e cores so a bigger die, so less heat concentration
Ah. So I could potentially use my galahad or lfii 360 on the 13900?
Yeah
Id want to oc if I could.
If it works on what you have now, it'll definitely be better on next gen
I only have 12600k atm
13900K will in all likeliness be coolable with regular means again
I'm wondering if I should retire my 5900X when next gen arrives
Maybe change cases again for my 2nd system

Runs very cool at yeet volts that on retail silicon will run at not potato freq
not like we mortals can buy one at launch anyway
bots and scalpers will win the first month no doubt
Become a bot.
at least we will have a glimpse of that with the ryzen launch
man, days are so slow lately, i want to be in october!
No I need something now
But will it run on 13th gen
I'm sure high speed will
Yes
Okay
does anyone here do any cad like fusion on solidworks?
Alright guys having weird issue with my ram stick . it doesn't work in my mobo but working on another mobo
My mobo also working with another rams
Gigabyte Z690 aorus elite ax ddr4
Corsair vengeance rgb pro
Worst mobo and rams lol
corsair vengeance rgb ram is so bad
its so pretentious it barely works on any mobo
The good thing about vengeance pro is they list the version number on the back so you can look up what chips each stick uses
The bad thing is IC mixing lol
Have you tried that sus stick on it's own in that board
Not working.
Sadge
Mobo works with another stick of kit and another 3600mhz ram together
I bet if you stress tested it in the other board that works it'll throw a lot of errors
But that sus stick works on another mobo
Unless this is a clear cmos moment
No I didn't stress test but it booted
stuff's pickier than a toddler with sensory food aversion
Boot ≠ stable
Mobo stuck at dram light sus stick of ram
If it boots it just means one board can train it better, doesn't mean it's going to run windows without issue
tbh I would get non rgb ram, rgb ram causes more problems than it's worth
it's brand new
seems about right
I bought some of the same ram one time and didn't work out of the box, not even a post with 1 stick of it installed 💀
went back to some tforce stuff and it posted just fine
Tforce is at least quite consistent
Take it straight back and tell them it doesn't work
absolutely
Ask for a full refund then get something else like Silicon Power Gaming 16gb/32gb
Or G.skill ripjaws
Tforce delta rgb
There's a few decent budget choices
true
I love trident z royals
gskill gang
Gang skill
i'm not familiar with DDR5 options so I just have been accepting the oloy blade stuff I got with my pc
it works and I've had no issues with it so that's all I can hope for tbh 🤷♂️
If it's a pair of black oloy blades d5 they're meh
The stainless steel ones are the OP M die kit
Well, formerly OP
it's the 4800MHz RGB variant
Yeah those sound like the black sticks
yeah this one
I mean, hell, they work, and I've got 32 gig, plenty for gaming and browsing/streaming stuff so :P
Could be anything but likely micron lol
Ye it's fine
I mean it's better than vengememes
lol
not really in the market to spend a bunch on better ram so i'll deal with meh ram lol
Hey guys I’m currently trying to build my first pc, getting a bit confused with the ddr4/ddr5 ram. Does it make that much of a difference/do I really need ddr5 over ddr4?
Not particularly no. Especially when DDR4 is generally much cheaper
It will barely make a difference if all you’re going to do is game with it
Ddr5 only worth if you get a good sale on it
What's your budget for the whole build and what country are you in?
I could make you a build list if you'd like
Plus DDR5 motherboards are not compatible with DDR4 ram so you’d be locked in with something like that.
Budget is about $1800, if necessary I could be willing to go up an additional $200ish and I’m in the US
Is that including monitor and peripherals, or just tower?
Do you have any preferences about looks and such?
Just tower, I’ve already gotten a monitor, kbm etc etc
And lastly would you like wifi included or are you going to use ethernet
Ethernet
May I ask what resolution and refresh rate monitor?
I was about to ask that haha
Oh wait I forgot one thing, do you plan to overclock
I’ll be 100% honest, I’m not sure what overclocking is. Still very new to all of this
Yes haha
And do you care about looks?
And as far as looks go, I’d like it to be all black with exception to fans etc which I’d like to have rgb of some kind
Kk
Works for me
Forgot to copy the link lmao
Ignore that
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700KF, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
There we go
Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks I’ll definitely look into it
@little osprey i would grab the deepcool ak620 instead cooler wise, the cooler @mossy venture recommended has some issues
Also would consider this ram
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7Df6Kp
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700KF, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/98mnNc is this good or is Cl16 ram better
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
Just get cl16, it's not better but that ram is b die, bad value especially just for xmp
wtf is that ram price
whats b die
200 for 32gb lmao
okay yall probs can answer this but what is like estimite you think 13900k and 4090 gunna produce
ill just get 1600W psu like that is in pc list just for precautions
@mossy venture I’ve seen some builds that have rgb tubing I assume for water cooled pcs. Are there similar options for other pcs? Like rgb tubes for cable management etc? Or is that only possible for water cooled?
Afaik just water cooled
Damn, guess I’ll have to wait for the dream pc build then lol
Custom loops very much are not worth it
You'll spend easily 1k just on the water cooling parts, and if you mess just one thing up you can easily break the whole pc
Samsungs overclocking die, very expensive, if you check the list i did for you yesterday there's 3600c16 that's rgb for like 30$ less
Get a 1200w and call it a day
That "rgb" tubing is just water cooling but the liquid in the tubes is dyed
I did see that I thought it was just regular ram okay I'll change it
I mean you dont need to go with the one i recommended but yeah don't bother with b die
Also 1600w psu is Overkill
Why did it auto capitalise that :/
Wait are you saying to by b die or not I'm confused
Don't buy b die
Am saying you don't have to get the 3600cl16 kit i recommended if you prefer the trident z look I'd personally just save the 30$
unless you're ram tuning, there is absolutely no point to b die or rev e
At this stage if you're buying new b die just go ddr5 instead
mm
Yes the 3600c14 kit is b die
Oh
is there anyway to tell whether if you psu or gpu is shorting?
yeah, normally it will make a spark and it will shut down
followed by an electrical fire
man, my pc is having weird issues but theyre so random so its hard to tell what the problem is
unless you have an electrical fire, then no, you dont have a short circuit
must be something else
One way to test what's failing is to swap out a suspect part for a known good one. If the problem goes away you can have some confidence the swapped out one had an issue
Weird issues can be bad drivers, depends what you're running into
dont have any spare gpus or psus on me unfortunately
but whats happening in the first place?
ill make a list
bc its a few random things
- Pc stuck at motherboard loading screen
- Monitor get no signal at all
- Monitors lose signal when swapping to 144hz
- Pc not booting when second monitor plugged in
- Monitors not booting when using a specific dp on gpu
updoot bios
this jus started after i moved, i checked my surge protector and the outlet im using so its def a pc related issue
ill try to flash it
do you have an igpu?
nah
had none of these issues til i moved, checked to see if any ram sticks etc came lose but its all good
ill flash bios tho and see what happens
didn't solve it
how well does a 1660ti do for gaming at 1080p and 1440p gaming
1440p you'll probably be doing low settings if you also want high refresh rate. Some games will be too hard for it in 1440p also.
Does a 3060 beat a 1080 ti in gaming?
Idk about a 3060 but a 3060ti would
idk according to userbenchmark 3060ti vs 1080ti is a bit of a wash
though tbh if you're more about the ray tracing the 3060 is going to be better in that front generally
3060 gets close to a 1080 Ti stock, overclocked tho 1080Ti is a sizeable amount faster
!userbenchmark
`UserBenchmark is NOT a reliable source of information and has been blanket banned in many hardware communities such as r/hardware and r/intel for what started as an anti-AMD bias but has spiraled into delusion.
In fact, they tried so hard to skew results in favor of Intel's midrange that they even cannibalized Intel's own high end. For example, according to UserBenchmark, the i3-9350K is rated higher than the i9-10980XE.
For a similarly convenient quick-and-dirty hardware comparison website, we recommend using PassMark instead of UserBenchmark.
PassMark CPU comparison: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleCompare.php
PassMark GPU comparison: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/singleCompare.php
Want to know more?: https://youtu.be/RQSBj2LKkWg`
rough estimate, they're pretty similar. In raw performance, i believe 1080 ti wins
I also wouldn't consider ray tracing in any degree
mhm
Yeah I mean ray tracing is situational at best so I’d get that
But I was not aware of that about userbench
But what about all the other stuff like DLSS, clock speeds and the extra VRAM?
So good to know
I know that the 3060 is more energy efficient but I’m not too concerned with that tbh
Extra vram is an edge case in today's scape for people that can use it in workstation
its a single gb of extra vram that neither of the cards will utilize in most tasks
dlss, 3060 def has that advantage but fsr 2.0 works with 1080 ti, and even so i wouldn't personally run 1440p on either, though it isn't the worst thing
DLSS helps a 3060 yes but a 1080Ti scales ridiculously well with overclocking
clock speeds just affect performance, even if one has higher ones it doesn't really matter
Oh, what’s FSR?
basically amds version of dlss, but it works for nvidia cards too
I’d be willing to buy used, but would the 3060 be better for “future proofing”?
Hmm alright, thanks for the info!
I might wait until next gen launches so maybe I can snag one for even cheaper
yea personly id get a 6650xt
If you’re gonna be playing current triple a titles nvidia gpu is generally better iirc
not really, maybe at same tier gpus but that would be 3060 vs 6600
not 6650xt
Later asking in a 2nd server is cringe BTW, lol. People should go to tech powerup or w/e and compare for themselves.
I just like getting as much info as I can before making sorta big decisions, sorry.
All good. Just a funny thing to see, and quite often from various people, then the other amswers are similar.
Yes, the general consensus is to go for a 6600/6650XT instead so I’m glad they corroborate
Also remember 6650 XT is pretty much an oc'd 6600 XT.
Oh I haven’t looked a whole lot into that yet, but will do
It's just a better binned 6600xt, if it's the same price, go for 6650xt, if its much more expensive, don't go for it
i wouldn't turn on ray tracing on a 3060, it will tank your performance hard. hell i wouldn't consider it on a 3090ti either.
Depends what you're playing and why on a 3080 or higher. It can be perfectly fine on single player titles especially if they have good dlss implementations
yeah but the rt impact is so minimal on most games that it wouldn't matter anyway to tank your fps for some reflections. unless minecraft or those shiny glass buildings on spiderman remaster
its like day and night the reflections on the glass windows on buildings with rt on and off
hopefully in the short future more games will implement rt in a more meaningful way to make ray tracing a game changer instead of a performance destroyer
unreal engine 5 moment
Best prebuilt pc for around 1k?
What are you using it for?
Just gaming?
Productivity?
1k what? CAD? Pounds? Peso?
Venezuelan money?
I'm looking for a fun system basically just to clock the snot out of maybe an apu or a replacement for aging ryzen system
Just looking for board, cpu and ram got plenty of the rest
So 397369921 bolivares?
Mostly for gaming and USD currency
Not using Ethernet
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower
Can you do $10 over 1k?
I can
not to be an ass but they asked for a prebuilt
Any prebuilfs tho my brother said he wouldn’t help me build it 😭
Oh my bad
It’s all good
That's a good list, also G360A iirc is the same price or cheaper and an updated p360a
Maybe even $10 cheaper
I just want a good gaming pc with 1tb storage
Last pc I had had like 500gb storage and I couldn’t add any more
You'll be able to add more
Well it depends on how many m.2 slots it has
Ye
If it only has 1 slot its gonna be tricky
I tried looking for abs lrebuilds but all of em are 2k
Why are they all open box on newegg
This seems alright https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali640-master/p/N82E16883360305R
Ima double check if the board supports an extra m.2
They need a tb ssd
It does support an extra ssd
I don’t need one as long as I can buy another and insert it
It's a prime b660m-a, 2 m.2 slots
Provided that's what comes in the box
in the future i would recommend upgrading your ram
They are ambiguous with the specs on some of these
Oh god that’s the pc my school has
Lowkey school is a gamer
My school has their little esports club and it’s sponsored by national guard
If @fossil cedar is around you can tell me if this is a decent choice or not
Cos I never see them advertise which psu either. This one says 600W gold
Thats a little bogus tho for over 1k they keep the stock cooler
Apart from that tho it seems fine a second M.2 you'd get a team group mp 33 or a silicon power a60
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ala273/p/N82E16883360238 what about this one
Like fr they couldn’t spend just $30 more for a 214
Actually that one might be even better
Is that a single fan 3060
The 12400f is a bit better of a cpu
Kekw
But its not gonna be much of a difference
Is AMD good
Yeah
They’re actually not as bad as people think
I can get it to 999 if I use a code
3060 outputs relatively medium heat
Oh so you think it will probs overheat?
No
Won't overheat
The fan might just run a little loud
Just run hotter and louder than 2 or 3 fan cards
It does say brand may vary so it's possibly a placeholder

I’m not that worried about noise unless it’s a used PS4 fan kind of noise
Oh not that bad
Just cross your fingers and hope you get a dual fan
But knowing abs thats a pipe dream
Okay should I buy the prebuilt thst I just posted
inb4 3060 strix
Check with one of the mods or techies first
Can I @ them or should I wait
You can ping
Im a regular now yay
Oh sorry
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ala273/p/N82E16883360238 is this good for a starter gaming pc
i'd rather grab the $1050 one
I should note that, prebuilt value isn't great rn
why would they put a 5600g with a 3060
Because abs
You can save about 200-300 on these building yourself @mighty crow
They cant build one
I mean its not hard to learn
I was able to get it down after a few youtube tutorials
If you have the time it could save you a ton of money to learn how to build it
pros:
significantly better cpu
significantly better case
cons:
$50 more
half the storage
100w lower psu
rationale: storage is easier to upgrade than cpu, psu doesn't matter with this tier of build
well
not that psu doesn't matter entirely
but both psus will be fine
This would be a good 20% or so faster for the same price
With a better guarantee of parts quality
Honestly I’m mostly looking for storage and being able to run modern and upcoming games. Like buying new stick of storage and being able to fit in their or just 1tb of storage is fine.
well, you already got my thoughts
both are decent, but i would opt for the stronger cpu and less storage
I don’t really know the difference between the g360a and p360a
g360a has one more fan in the front and supports 360mm top mount radiator
that's about it
both are fantastic
@mighty crow same performance for $200 less from scratch

PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6600, Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
6600 and 3060 aren't quite the same performance
3060 is roughly in the middle of 6600 and 6600xt
It'd still be cheaper with an XT lol
@earnest olive with this one https://www.newegg.com/abs-ala273/p/N82E16883360238 I can make it $999 instead of the discount it already has should I still go with the one you sent

I'd be careful with HP
ram upgrades on those can be more of a pain than you'd expect
Iirc, they don't allow xmp right?
I've heard that some HP motherboard bios are hard locked down to only work with a certain HP approved ram that's not always easy to find or cheap
My friend had to use a 3200c22 kit because he couldn't set xmp on his 3200c16 kit
I think the non-omen branded ones don't allow xmp either yeah
Yeah it was a Pavillion
true, disregard my choice, pavillions can be tricky
those can surprise you with 2 dimm slots only 😛 and not xmp ready 😦
I mean, 3060 build for $750 is great
Lol
$650*
That's a whole 400 less
Even with the downsides of hp, that's worth if you're just plugging and playing essentially

it can be a fine choice but you have to be careful and know what you're getting into
whoa what
There's also that 6700xt build I posted in tech deals for 1k
but not on 256gb and 8 ddr4
Kinda wanna see that
There's probably pavilions or optiplexi with decent cpus
The a2000 is what
Performances wise a 3060?
Give or take
@fossil cedar sorry for ping but I had to go to work when you responded but here's my list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mvjP78
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100, GeForce RTX 3060, Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO ATX Mid Tower
The power supply will also be upgraded to a ATX 3.0 when they come out more
Omg that's very sad
Rip
I gotta wait till next paycheck
💀
Even the b stock is more expensive than it should be lol
Yea
Well its just temp
What's price of 1650 should be
If you're looking for a temporary card get a gtx 1080 for around $200
Or even a 6600
If you can get it for $200 sure
Or if u dont like amd 1660 super there going for like 220
Or 2060 for the same price lol
You talking about 6600
I want Nvidia
Than get a 2060
Bc I wanna steam
Bruh there's $175 1080 on eBay rn that kicks every 16 card to the curb
True
Yea but I don't trust ebay
Idk
Exactly. Use PayPal to pay. It's the safest way.
If you're worried about scams post the link here and ask for opinions. I do a lot of bidding.
Once you know what to look for the scams are obvious
270 for a 1080ti danm thats really good
We need the links so we can look at the seller
Hm
I dont know how i feel about blower cards lol aren't they typically loud
Yes very
It's fine I had a blower before with 10000 rpm

blower go brrr
Oh my
I honestly might go with a 1080ti instead of the 6600xt now lol
What do u think @potent portal
