Okay
I like gigabyte bc 1080p screen
@obsidian wigeon can you see if ram soldered or not
gigabyte has 2 slots
I see
@obsidian wigeon there is a video on it
the gigabyte?
ok
Test
Crap omg
With asus laptop I was looking at it comes with ryzen 9 5890x or something
also 6800M has 12 vram and 3070 has 8 only
Ik it's just vram and 8 should be fine just thought I should throw it in
There's this weird it didn't show up for me before
This is 1080p version
1k
Hm
@obsidian wigeon I like 6800m bc high battery life and I like the UI for the Asus laptop
And 6800M has higher power
Hmmmm
Whats the best possible build for 1.5k?
Usd?
Smthn like this, if usd https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8wzwC6
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600KF, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Can switch mobo to b660a wifi if you need wifi
Though patos list will likely have a better psu choice, didn't know what to choose since gt and gf1 both went up in price
I'd do this for 20$ more (can save 5$ by going 12600kf but imo the igpu is worth 5$ easily )
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/27RXhk
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6900 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
yeah 5$ for an igpu is totally worth it
I have the 12600k and I can say that the igpu has served me well
I can't see myself getting a cpu without igpu in the future with how much I have used/needed it
ak620 is almost on par to an nh-d15. i suppose you can use that as a better point for reference
Yeah, pa120 is also up there but is $35
Damn those are some amazing specs
Thx
I thought the 6900xt would be way more
then i suppose both of them will perform pretty well below the 200w range... anything higher should be trusted to aios
Talked to someone on reddit the other day who said the ak620 is better than any 360mm aio
And then linked a very biased YouTube video with an lf2 that used barely any thermal paste
hahaha, i mean i am an ak620 shill but even i know its limits
maybe its comparable to some 240s but not a chance against 360s, even less vs the LF2
ye
i just want a prosiphon just for the sake of having one on my pc 😛 expensive and chonky as it is
too sad they are not that good... yet
Think of it almost like being a hipster except it makes sense
prebuilt with prosiphon cooler when
plave pc
inb4 the pc comes in broken
fastest pc ever built... cooled on air
but splave pc have a custom made prosiphon
and made of copper
Ya
I want to see one of those on a z690 kp
So it's turned 90 degrees
Half stuck out of a case with a proper airflow pattern

Vince pc
indeed
Ehhh ak620 is better and yeah you could get away with it there is a version i think se that has issues and 30$ aint much when you're spending 1500
Np
sad thing about ak620 is the price rn
i was thinking that that was the assassin with issues too tbh
too expensive
I remember hearing that, I think in here actually a long time ago
I think of it as just being a huge fan
It's an SE cooler that much I def remember
i will totally hit an ak620 when on sale tho, some 45 or 50usd is a no brainer
one day i saw it at 35 on one of those newegg live streams for just 1 hour
instant oos
i see what you did there
Get one then get a rockit copper ihs Ravell and delid
Get the best air cooled you ever air cooler
Oh i didn't even mean to make a pun lol
lol
TR contact frame

shiny copper
put a 212evo on top of that and collect the tears from reddit
biohazard*
or the laminar for all i care :V
Stack 212s on top of each other
212 stack
You can't heat soak if you keep heat transferrin
Exactly what it sounds like
yup
Wallmarts version
knew it
a caveman team machined those
And it unironically works
do tou just buy like
@obsidian wigeon https://youtu.be/EByOdL_nYKo
Sponsor: be quiet!'s Silent Base 802 https://geni.us/DaGYu
As a final part of our CPU Contact Frame for Intel 12th Gen coverage, we're testing and reviewing the Walmart CPU frame by putting it on our $800 test CPU -- hopefully it goes OK. This CPU contact frame follows our previous reviews of Intel "unbending" CPU frames, starting with the Therm...
rough edges everywhere...but it works
Because intel wasn't unga bunga enough to realise just stretching their ILM shape wasn't good enough
Now we have wallmart unga bunga
With the meme
All that paste cos of two indents from the ILM
The cooler lifted off like it was never stuck to it
Hence such a representation by the paste lol
Settle?? IT COMES IN BLUE
Can you see the colour..... No
But
Blue
When I took the cooler off yesterday with the contact frame I had suction so it was def making better contact
I hope the do 2 ilm arms on next gen mobos
Course people who wanna oc af will but just for the regular user
I wanna see more than 2 divots on the ILM
4 arms it is
"..and nothing else that really catches our eye at all" as he's holding up the TG frame xD
I'm confused
start the video from 4:17 and watch until he says it lol
he's reviewing the look of the contact frames
Ohh
Lmaooo
DONT SCARE ME LIKE THIS PLEASE. I just built a pc and don't even wanna think of the thermal paste melting onto anything 😭
paste doesn't melt anything
It also has intel, but I tried to make sure the fan was ON before installing that hardware
paste even if it seeps out, it's nothing serious at all
It was the paste that came on the fan, but it didn't seem garbage
Oh? Good to know.
Starting off Friday with a false sense if dread xD
I was thinking more like peanut butter as thermal paste
Yumby thermal paste
yeah thermal paste generally isn't conductive
and to stop the sticking just heat up the cpu for a bit and twist the cooler while removing
Smart! I'll have to remember that if I ever install this RGB fan
I assume you're not getting a new cooler
and you're currently using a not stock cooler
Nah, it'll be a while before trying out liquid cooling
if both conditions are true then no need to remove the cooler you're using
Noted. It'd be fun to install for even better air flow and aesthetic at some point!
I remember seeing two great spots to install new fans to lower the air temp, and having the face of the fan pulling the hot air out
I have 3 front because of the case I have. Do you HAVE to follow a pattern for the fans so it doesn't break the airflow, or does it not matter?
Like if I install the RGB at the back before any at the top, will that matter?
best airflow pattern is 3 front as intake and 1 back and 2 top for exhausts
that will maintain a good airflow with very little dust buildup
but 3 front and 1 back is enough on most cases for a proper airflow
eh
two top might suck away air from the cpu cooler
as would be the case with my P12s
too many fans is not always a good thing
the cpu cooler will receive fresh air from the front fans regardless
while the top fans help sucking the hot air from the cooler
but you can go very well without the two at the top, because you know, hot air always go up even without them
The main thing is you don't usually want to have an exhaust fan mounted up top in front of an air cooler. Having a fan mounted in that rear-top spot is certainly good, the other mount can be case by case
heh
case by case
having top fan isn't always a good thing anyway
you can sometimes leave the cpu cooler, if it's an air cooler without adequate airflow
I don't think that's likely if what it's pulling out is hot air
I think I'm going for the 1650super until I can get an upgrade, can't find any cheap 6600 without shipping taxes 😦
is the 1650s cheaper than the 6500xt?
same price
but someone said here that 6500xt was trast due to no hardware encoding
1650s is enough to play 1080p on low-mid set right?
yeah it'll do fine
That's not the reason it's trash. It's limited to a x4 PCIe connection so if you use it in a system that only supports PCIe 3.0 you lose performance. It has to be run at 4.0 to get full use.
it's in a pcie 4.0 system
i would definitely try for a 1060 6gb or 1660 if possible
but if not 1650s is fine
^
the performance of those next gen cards aren't even tested yet
and next gen cpus are launching soon too
so that will have to wait too
everything are being announced at around this month
looking for good tail end
12 hundred 7th chip w/30 70 +
np
just tagging
iow, 30+ vid
12 Gen 7 cpu (9 is overboard for me)
if that is all mistworld...
anyway. just trying to get a foothold
@potent portal look at my build 0_0
Uhm isn't a word. gpu cables are very uneven, otherwise not too shabby. Reminds me of "blacklights" at a party w/ a bunch of white shirts or something.
we dont talk about those lmaoo
the cables are so hard to bend
Never in my life have I felt my undiscovered OCD feel so unsheathed at the sight of those GPU cables
It's like, uneven in a way that's almost offensive

feel ya bro, there is something unnerving on those pcie cables
like calling for a sledgehammer
have to admit, to upset the rest of the world i would gladly leave those as that
Ikr
You want to see the back?
I'll send it later
I didn't organize anything.
And I mean it lmao
The back over thingy is bending
Hello
I just finished building my PC. But have a couple off issues. Hope someone here could help.
So, I have a Corsair 150i Elite LCD CPU cooler. I connected the LCD's 20 and 6 other fans to the commander Core (3 ML and 3 LL).
When I switch on the PC I see an exclamation mark on the cooler LCD and the 6 fans don't have RGB but they do spin.
I have 6 other fans connected to the PWM and RGB controllers that came with my 5000X case. The RGB on those 6 fans work. Is there something I'm missing.
Also, on the Asus (MB) splash screen it says that there is an error with the CPU fan not detected.
I'm kinda stuck and don't know what to do now. Could someone please help me out? on this
Are you sure the commander core is being powered? Is it connected properly
If there's no RGB and no screen that could mean it's not receiving power
sounds exactly like an unplugged controller
Maybe the usb header which should provide the data for RGB and LCD images
I checked and powered it through another cable and the same issue. But would the fans spin if power was the issue? Both RGB and PWM are connected to the commander
what fabio said, maybe your problem is in the usb 2.0 connector, thats where your commander get the data for the rgb and pwm control
if the fans are spinning then the sata connector is fine, check the other cable
anyone know why i can hear myself thru my own mic
me headset i mean
listen to device is off
drivers are up to date
Fixed it
Any ideas to clean this up 😅
zip ties
Some clorox might work
This is my 4th attempt
no need to clean it up, it adds personality 😂
O tried that but couldn't put the side cover back on
Close enough
Missing 2 screws
oh
I do a cross pattern when I do that
you don't really need all 4 screws so covering the diagonals will keep it flat and flush
should i get the rtx 2060 or amd rx6600
6600 is better
Does the 6600 have drivers problems?
Not as bad as amd used to have. I didn't have driver issues with my 6800xt
Though there were some minor issues my 3060 ti don't have
The worst drivers are when a gpu or game is* brand new. After a few months the drivers are fine imo.
The 6600 I bought plays fine

do you recommend a secondhand 1070 or a 1660s?
the 1660s is better, right?
nah
it's the same
i would get the newer one if possible, but 1070 is fine. it has 8 gigs of vram too
that's a good range
I'd buy a new one if ship taxes weren't like 100usd
"New" listings should be avoided, if they haven't sold before during the shortage it's pretty fishy
but 1070 is also fine too
Usually scalpers trying to make back their money but other times they're scams
I'll make sure to test the gpu
meeting in person is the best way to it
guys
rn I have a laptop with native 720p reso
I'll buy a 1080p monitor
If I connect it to the pc
the fps in games will drop once I rise the resolution, right?
yes
If you have a dedicated GPU and no MUX switch the drop in frame rate won't be as bad. That's a common scenario.
that's the thing, I don't have a dedicated gpu
Integrated graphics off the CPU then? Yeah you won't be doing much gaming on that in 1080p
but I can use 1080p in media content, right?
Yes that's fine
If it's relatively modern it could probably display 4k with little issue
it's this one, don't think it can display 4k
Entra en el mundo de los deportes electrónicos con AOC Gaming G2490VX, con biseles ultra estrechos en tres lados, dándole un aspecto que supera a los modelos competitivos. I meant the laptop could possibly do 4k if you connected a 4k display
If it's 4-5 years old or less it'll probably do 4k with limitations based on HDMI port version
That's enough for 4k 30hz, 60hz if it does DSC
So it should be just fine setting that monitor to 1080p 144hz
okee thanks for the advice
I'll buy the monitor tomorrow
do you have any idea if amazon electronics come with eeuu outlet?
It depends on the seller
That one looks like it's sold directly by Amazon so it should usually come with the outlet plug that matches the region it's sold from
And if not complain and they'll send you one
How much it cost to fix laptop speakers
Does anyone know where I can find a PS4 pro chassis (completely empty)?
Possibly cheap, even if it's used or slightly damaged
And I'm asking here because I was thinking of putting an entire itx build inside it
It depends on the laptop
can someone here that's experienced in building computers help me
dm me
Hi, I want to get a new power supply 450-550 watts is what i think is enough for me for my 1650 super but I don't know much about computers. I choose this motherboard (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FVYKFXF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A24GENDIDV9018&psc=1) if you have any ideas for a better one for cheaper let me know
I have a prebuilt that I'm wanting to upgrade (https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-Computer-Processor-TG01-0030/dp/B07XV7YRSL) and i watch a video of a
dude changing to a new case (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=149_XfpBLQA) and from there i found everything i need except the power supply, i need something cheat. The one i was looking at is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0160XJAQK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 i wanna know if its good or naw?? I also picked this case because its cheap https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PTB45YQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A25D34XLVTWT9M&th=1 ikik it has bad airflow but its the one recommended in the vid and I don't know how to figure out what size case I need so I just went with the one on the video i watched
bruh
what
nothing lmfao
ikik i sound dumb i dont know anything about computers
bro wrote a whole story
Well does help prevent spam messages tho
I have 8gb ddr3 ram B)
I'd get asus tuf 550 right now
450 would be fine, but 550 is only $5 more
can you also help me figure out if all my stuff is compatible
how do ik if the power supply is compatible with the case i choose
well its the mob that they recomended and i dont know how to pick a good mob that will go with what i am getting
@obsidian wigeon can you link me to a mob that will work for the build i am doing
lemme just
make a quick list
cooler won't work with the new mobo but i can add it too
PC Builder - Cougar MX330-G Air ATX Mid Tower
you can ignore ram if you want, but imo it's better to have it
@austere condor did you find the arc gpu from retail or did you have to buy 2nd hand?
scalped on ebay =/
My friend who's not techy wants to know if this build is good, he's gonna be streaming mainly minecraft but might venture out to other games once he realizes the power of his pc, he'll also do video editing https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/squirrelpowered/saved/#view=2J3npg
Saved Part Lists
canadian prices kinda suck right now but what is their budget?
1.5k
do they not need a mobo, didn't have one in the build
missing some vital parts to be able to function there my guy
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Deepcool CG560 ATX Mid Tower
boom
3060ti is cheaper and better for streaming
wifi required?
if so, this would be my recommendation
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/BLs2zf
intel QSV > Nvidia NVENC for stream encoding, so getting a CPU with an iGPU is worth the extra cost. went with the 12500 cause UHD 770 on the 12500 vs UHD 730 on a 12400 is a reasonably difference in performance.
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12500, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
I knew something had to be missing
No
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Y68VLs A lil bit over but better psu, adequate cooler and a better drive...could do a regular 6700xt or 6700 non xt to get right under budget
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
then you have the option to save like $30 on a motherboard
getting one without wifi build in
like the one @obsidian wigeon recommended in his build
wow i pasted the wrong link
LOL
here
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12500, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
fixed link
that's also very good
case is a pain to build in tho, or so i've heard
tho 12500 will struggle running 3600
it was why i chose 3200
there we go, revised
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12500, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower
without the wifi enabled board
@kindred pawn thats what you should be expecting to build for $1500 CAD, case is subjective
can pick what you want
^ build i did in that exact same case
that does look pretty cool
@kindred pawn https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/7fn8TW/cougar-mx330-g-air-atx-mid-tower-case-mx330-g-air
another good option would be the MX330-G air
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/crqBD3/phanteks-eclipse-p300a-mesh-atx-mid-tower-case-ph-ec300atg_bk01
P300a is also a favorite of mine
needs intake fans though
the NZXT H710 is actually suprisingly cheap for CAD. decent enough airflow performance cause of the decent and lots of stock fans
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/T2RgXL/nzxt-h710-atx-mid-tower-case-ca-h710b-b1
H510 flow isnt a bad choice either for this tier of hardware
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/dkRYcf/nzxt-h510-flow-atx-mid-tower-case-ca-h52fw-01
Thanks guys
today was a good day 😄 scored 150usd more for my raptor lake build 😄 built 3 pcs for a friend's friend
for some reason my mouse disconnect and reconnects and its very annoying and same with my headset
razer?
no
happens to me on my razer devices, but thats on my devices or the horrendous synapse

can someone tell me if this is ok I'm swapping the GPU from a prebuilt aka
https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-Computer-Processor-TG01-0030/dp/B07XV7YRSL
I has been 2 days of me figuring out what i need to do it I've watched every case swap video's for the pc I have and I hope what I have will work
youre gonna want more ram and storage
it came with a ryzen 5 3600
hehehe took me 2 days to get it all planned
im new to learning about pc's
im taking my prebuilt and making it into something i can upgrade the gpu in the future
Sadge :(
is a 550w psu enough for a 12400F and a 1660s?
and, if so, which gpu can I use without overloading?
@austere condor x99 would have been a great option for that server/Nas build :)
Would get an RX6600 with a 550W and 12400f, but also which psu?
Specific model and brand
Rn I'd get a 12100f and 6650xt at $300 over 12400f and 6600
cx-f corsair
it's like 60usd on amazon
^
@viral ore wsp?
I'd rather a 12100f and 6650xt to 12400f and 6600
For gaming anyways
not really
Then budget?
I can't get a 6600 nor a 6650xt
those extra cores put in work fairly often
I don't live in the US and shipping a 6600 is expensive
especially considering the price difference
it's like 320-330 usd with taxes
Before 12th gen, we consistently recommended 10400f and 3060 ti and the 12100f beats it by a good bit in gaming
Ohhh you're the dude from the other day
ye
i mean it depends on just how tight the budget is
I tried looking for a secondhand 6600 but it's still expensive
Their budget is very tight
gimme a number
If I didn't need a monitor I'd get a 6600
yes
Can't find it on amazon for that price
One sec
600 is a pretty icky price range
ASUS TUF GAMING 550W Bronze PSU features an 80 Plus Bronze certification for energy efficiency, Axial-tech 0dB fan and military-grade components, 80cm 8-pin CPU Connector and 6-year Warranty. does it affect international shipping?
I know 😦
especially cuz 1700 boards are heck expensive rn
they sell for 150 usd min at my country
so only option is amazon
Not in the US, if you need wifi built in ds3h ax is $120
used market might be your best bet
If you dont, b660 pro rs is $90
Shipping might be more though
I found some 1660super selling for less than 200usd
local, obv
I doubt the local used market will be good
you never know until you look
Fair enough
plus, just filter ebay based on location
a last-gen card could probably be had for a reasonable price
I've slept 2 hours in the last 31
i would try looking for something like a gtx 980/ti, 1080, rx 5600xt,
those older cards will render any game 1080p60
the 12100f stands as a decent option, but older cpus are everywhere.
plus, it would be a HUGE inconvenience to recieve a DOA part
should it be something shipped from outside of your country
i would for sure start by checking out what people are selling used locally
I can find some things locally, but honestyl everything is expensive
a nvme sdd is like 120usd for 512gb
What country again?
Mm
I'm not sure that's good, check the tier list pinned in #cases-psu-and-cooling
I could be remembering wrong
these are all used components?
yeah cultist says it's b tier
none actually
thats the problem
new parts here sell like double the price they sell on amazon/newegg
for e.g, a 1650 (not super) sells for 250usd new here
even old cards
like 1050ti
that's why I considered amazon tho, except for the gpu which I might be getting a second hand one
poke around craigslist and fb marketplace
Hello, I'm new to the computer building and i have this Prebuilt pc (link 1). And I'm planning on adding a new case, I've been looking thru many discords and other sources gathering what I think will work and what others will also. If someone that knows lots about about pc's could check out my build and tell me what you think... btw I bought everything already. I wanna know what would be a better graphics card for the future would be. My prebuilt comes with a 1650 super and a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor. I have a list of the things I bought to build it (link 2) if you have any recommendations please DM me or reply to my message. I'm on a budget not a set budged so send some good prices parts for me to check out. Thank you for reading this for if you have and taking in the consideration of helping a newbie out <3.....

The GPU is just a random GPU to fill the spot idk the difference so don't ask me. Also the ram is one I bought I'm still keeping the ram that came with the pc but adding a new stick for a total of 16gb
Im buying this, wish me luck it doesn't come DOA
thats a good monitor 😉
I mean, if that's the ram you actually got, I'd just buy a whole new 2x8 or 2x16 3200c16 kit
and a bigger drive
I was told that sometimes that the ram from hp sometimes doesn't work on different motherboards
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MWzxRv is this a bad build
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, GeForce RTX 3070 LHR, NZXT H510 Flow ATX Mid Tower
ive gone over it with some people but i want to make sure its still solid
The case is dookie but otherwise solid
its a mid case but it does look nice with the right fans etc
especially rgb fans
rgb = better performance
It’s less than a mid case lol and trust me I’m no stranger to rgb fans
psu is super overpriced, and I'd get g360a over h510 flow if it were me, but aside from that it's fine
there's also a teamgroup 3600c18 rgb kit that imo looks better and is slightly cheaper, but either is fine
they give more perfromance
I know I have lian li infinity fans
Plus 50 fps
w
@analog hearth did you mod your keyboard!? I don't remember it sounding like that
it is a build
Wait v4?
it’s the barebones kit they have. it has Tecsee Purple switches with some PBT key caps from Amazon
the two bottom rows are lubed. I didn’t get to lube the top three rows
doesent it take a long time
I’m also ghetto lubing lol
it's like 10 sec per switch
Oo nice
not if you ghetto lube
so it adds up
20 if your new at it smh
it still sounds great if you lube it the way I did
I'm using a membrane razer keyboard
the upgrade is mega worth
just don’t go with a big brand like Corsair or Steel Series, or you’ll feel like you wasted your money
lol
I was gonna go Corsair
meanwhile i went the cheap end
Most of my pc is Corsair
Corsair keyboards are just ugly and expensive keeps. lower quality than Royal Kludge imo
Should I get the 1 you have? And Change the keys to what I prefer?
It doesn't seem 2 expensive
There's a lot of models to choose
a good beginner keyboard is anything Royal Kludge or Keychron
ye that’s it
being new means you don't know about switches yet
even i barely know anything
all i know rn is i love me some tactile switches
linears aren't my jazz
I think I'm gonna get creams
I just put some linears on my RK61 lol
Linear is good for gaming isn't it?
yes
it is, but i hate how it feels
A
both are good
i want the bump
all preference
^
Fair enough my friend also don't like em
I need some tactile bump
i like feeling the actuation point
I argue tactile is better for gaming since you know if you're about to accidentally press the key or not
Hmm
instead of having to worry if resting your hands on your keeb will actuate the switch
i find my outemu brown a tad too light
but it means im speedy with osu
i don't quite like oem keycap profile tho
it gets in the way of my typing
too tall
rip
STOP IM JEALOUS
I'm just chillin, all white is too boring
I was thinking of getting that one set of caps with the spacebar that says “THIS IS PLASTIC” on it
but I think i’ll stick with this set
lmao what
My pc is all whitr
When I first replaced the cherry caps with custom caps, my keycaps were instantly different. We are a group of geeks who love custom keycaps, and we created the XDK brand because of our love. We select high-quality PBT material for these keycaps to keep your keyboard fresh and not easy to produce...
interesting...
my gf would love this keyboard
PBT is just better
I dropped an ABS cap and a PBT cap on my desk. ABS has a lot more treble and doesn’t sound as deep
Sounds like hulk's problem. My membrane keys are pretty soft and I don't have that problem.
membrane keys tend to have a certain point before they actuate, pretty similar to the bump on tactile switches, there's a bump in the force curve
there are none on linear switches
Just push the key, or don't. I guess some people hold the keys partway down or something. Main thing I hate about most mech setups is the noise.
???
just get some nice quiet switches then
also, it's not like holding your key partway down, it's resting you hand on it and having to worry about if you're depressing the key enough to actuate or not
many switches can be lighter than you think
guess so. perhaps I wouldn't want linear that soft*. Oh right, there are those rubber orings to look into. Not quite ready to retire the ol Tarantula.
is 3200mhz fine
in most cases yes
@limber oyster bro that tubing 😭
God there has to be something cause that tube, it ain't it bro 😭😭
I MIGHT be able to interconnect them, maybe cut the tubs down and re...tube them.
But idk
That's an expensive maybe
I might just take out the rear fan and flip the top radiator around
2 rads, 360mm each
They're AIOs from Alphacool
The CPU is an Eisbaer and the GPU is a Eiswolf 2
Damn those are large for all that
It's a Ryzen 7 3700x and a Asus ROG strix OC gaming 3080 10GB RTX
I mean you could run the gpu on the top rad also but that's more cutting
My issue would be the tubes rubbing against the rear fan
I might just remove it and move GPU to top and CPU to front
Idk....
I'm kinda content...mainly cause I'm starving
Mmmm
I installed the CPU cooler this morning immediately as soon as I came home from work
The tubing routes usually to the left and you did right
Ahh I went right because I didn't want to risk tubes rubbing against the rear fan
You could have cut them to size?
Actually you could have done it like hmm let me get up my advanced diagram program with definitely is not my phones paint
Lol
Keep in mind I used to be a mechanic and so I'm used to having a set way of doing things with a diagram showing the proper way. Doing things free-hand is new to me
Mine
I know this is sloppy and without connections but this is what I thought, it could clean up the space too
$240 USD
Maybe, idk 100% though
these ones are 120/130 respectively
I'd definitely remove the rear fan of I did that
I'm pretty sure it would hurt performance much, also it would clean up a lot
I'm also personally not a fan of the modern gigabyte build quality. A lot of people here would probably say the Gigabyte.
I'd also have two pumps working
What if they have conflicting speeds?
Depends, you might have clearance maybe
Maybe watch videos that are similar and if the speeds are different then don't change much
Other that let me get out my magical not paint from my phone tool once more
Hmm...maybe there's a 1-2 splitter from Alphacool to where I could hook up both pump powers together and sync them....no....that's hurt cooling for GPU
This is another option of you don't wanna split, it just cleans it up a bit. Personally I think you might have clearance for the fan
It's ironic that I'm giving you ideas of how to clean up stuff and I can't even cable manage the back of my pc
No
For the GPU is bad
Because the rad is lower
fair enough
If I remove the rear fan, flip the CPU rad so the tubes are to the left, I then can rotate the GPU rad 180° so tubes are at the top
My rear
Oh god any tips?
I gave no care for my ssd
I think I'm gonna just unplug everything and start over
Cause I need to be able to fit more cables when I get those strimmer v2 cables
I also want to move my front fans to inside the Rad
Also, forgot to mention I do plan to get a Ryzen 9, 3rd or 5th gen once the 7000 series drops
Welp I just unplugged all my wires to look at my hands and see them black and bleeding 💀
👀
For some reason whenever I touch the rubber wire hole things hands get a black residue on it
When I get back I'll do it again and show
I'll whipe my hand on it and show it when I get home lol
maybe bad quality rubber
Why bleeding tho?
Hopefully not melting rubber
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe I sliced my finger while pulling out wires
Nah I need to cause I don't have one of those covers in the case so you see a mess
Ten times better than mine
Like how to I fix this up
(This is an old photo, I got new fans but wires are same)
How do I clean up the psu mess
Like bruh this shows cables but it's no mess
the cables are pulled to the other side panel
yours didn't do that
so you need to run the other, unused cables too
I wonder if I'll even have enough room for thst
there will be enough as long as you can squeeze it in
I hope that green CX430 PSU isn't yours
open up the other side panel
No lol
and run the cable
or whosever it is, I hope it doesn't blow up
This is my pc, not the other one I just sent that as a cable management example
What the hell thats so clean
I know this is an off the wall question but where does anyone think psu wattage will be in 10 years time?
I mean like next year aren’t we looking at 2-3k for the 40 series?
This seems overly exaggerated....
But yeah like Pato said there isn't really a way to tell.
1200w should be good enough for a 4090 even on the high end of leaks
Also american breakers cap out at 1600w iirc
Soo rip NA
hey does anyone know if this mobo would fit well with a ryzen 5 5600G without flashing bios?
Anyone know what MX or CN breakers cap out at?
Canada is same as us, i think same for mx but not sure
It probably would
Although i wouldn't really recommend buying a 5600g in the first place these days, you'd wanna grab a board like this
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PDsnTW/msi-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi
oh ok what would be a good alternative for a 5600G
Well what's your budget?
For the whole pc
around 600-700 without a gpu as of now
Sorry I meant to say China.
Depends on the wiring, I believe 12.5 amp wiring can run 1500 and 15 amp wiring can run like 1750-1800. Don’t quote me, I’m not an electrician. Just trying to figure out the wiring for the addition of a game room that everyone’s computers and things will be in. And since there are 5 of us, it’s quite confusing
No idea about asia but it's fairly easy to look up, just look up the voltage for that country
Why bother when you can do a build for that with a decent gpu now?
Maybe it's a bit more but I've heard the avg is 1600w for NA
Might even be able to fit in that $300 6650xt
What is considered decent for a price like that? I’m still running off a 1060 3gb and it’s starting to have its drops
12100f 6650xt maybe
For 700$ you can do this... Give me like 5 mins
Pato or I could make a build list
Ye
I'm about to shower so listen to pato
He big brain
also btw does newegg allow returns for pc parts. i've heard that for some ppl they didnt let them return their parts
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6650 XT, Asus TUF Gaming GT301 ATX Mid Tower
Ofc within a 30 day period or something
It's gotten better...
oh ok
If needed could get a tiny bit cheaper with asus tuf 550
Yeah but more comfortable with 600w psu for 6650xt
Front looks better
I've ran a 3060 ti on an E tier 500 (not to my knowledge, but I did)
Even oced a bit and never had a psu shutdown
Rip
it depends on which 500w psu it is
Definitely
I ran my 3070 on my 600w w1 for like 2 weeks til i got my revo df but i made sure not to oc
e tier is a big gamble
But id be fine with a 6650xt on a B tier 550 definitely
It was a dog ass pre built
I would never recommend someone an E tier
Was just using it as an example
I know
Yeah i guess for not much more would prefer the 650w
your skytech lol
And hey with rising elec prices platinum rating isn't a terrible idea lol
Nice to have at that price point
Fair enough
Couldn’t you combat this with dual psu builds?
how good would this be
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 4600G, GeForce RTX 2060, KOLINK Castle ATX Mid Tower
Sure if you had a huge extension cord running from a different circuit
4600g???
Far worse
what on earth
that list is so sad
We could probably just have 2 breakers run to each station, again I’m no electrician. But I lived in a house where each wall in a bed room had its own breaker. So it’s gotta be possible right?
I’m trying to future proof the game room
Should i go with a b550 board or a cheap x570
define similar
For a ryzen 5600
Use your current board
Would say more like 2070 super
why do you need a board upgrade for a 5600?
Well it's the closest nvidia gpu I could use for comparison seeing as 6600xt is slightly better than 2070s
Unless I'm remembering wrong
Accidentally bought a b450
Uhh not sure
Use it?
Im returning is
how much did you pay for the b450
127 💀
lol
Oof
ok yeah return it
B550 pro vdh wifi if you need wifi included
Check this out on @Newegg: GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO WIFI AM4 AMD B450 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-b450-aorus-pro-wifi/p/N82E16813145082?Item=N82E16813145082&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-13-145-082-_-09052022
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PDsnTW/msi-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550m-pro-vdh-wifi
Would grab this
Heres the board j have rn
b450 is a decent budget option when you buy it used for like $30
not when it's $127
lmao
But I want strix b450 new
whats the diffrence between the b450 and b550
B550 is newer
b550 has pcie 4.0 and is 99% sure to be compatible with ryzen 5000 out of the box that's about it

What about thay
Do you need built in wifi?
about 600 bucks is doable with mixed new and used parts
Wouldn't bother spending more than 120 on the pro vdh wifi
Nah i use ethernet
those all work fine
Yep
but that list is trash
Mhm
i would say don't use it
But the 5600g doesn't support pcie 4.0
the 5600g has a bigger problem than 4.0 support
Lol
The igpu isnt to bad tho its alot better than intels
an igpu that won't be used due to the dgpu
True
except for troubleshooting
sure but intel doesn't kneecap the cpu to include it
yeah
ye
totally fair
even 12100 is a better cpu than 5600g
igpu troubleshooting just need to have display
I'm powering 2 displays with my 12100
it doesn't struggle with discord and wallpaper engine lol
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, Asus TUF Gaming GT301 ATX Mid Tower
how bad would this be
Lol
you were given a much better list than all of the garbage you're putting out
use it or stop spamming
is he becoming the next drqkuei dude
what wrong with them tho
i mean i want a apu so would it be better going with intel or amd
intel
6650xt for only 300 Damm
intel igpu
just change the 12100f to an 12100 and you're done
ok thanks
Lol
Haven't seen one in the wild tbh
Are they good?
Yea but its not actually 300 if u click the pc part picker link its like 365
Or sum
as good as a 1080ti, its like an oc version of the 6600xt
pretty good, some days it can be cheaper than the 6600xt
Fair nuff
Yea im thinking of getting it
And thr 6700xt is quite a bit faster right
