still got some work to do on my setup, but got some photos of it in its current state of progress. still need to get the sound paneling up on the wall under the shelf, do all my cable management, and figure out what to put on the walls behind the 5x monitor stand, open to suggestions 😄

CPU: intel i-5 12400

My build has changed quite a bit. Some of you know I strongly wanted to avoid AIOs. Well, I couldn't pass up an $80 LF2 420mm. The build isn't as aesthetically pleasing or pretty, but it's charming in some way still.

aka, PC building simulator IRL edition
What I spent 4 hours on today, formerly an old radio system.
The internals of the radio system.
The semi-finished product just ordered new parts for it to be outfitted with a 120x360 fan hub in the back all A/C to usb to 4 pin and only 5V step down for low power use 🙂
finished
She’s done. No more pc parts for awhile. The case will probably get swapped for the h510 flow later. At this point in time cpu and gpu temps are under control and there isn’t a need.
My pc lights won’t turn on for some reason 🙂
Finally got my PC setup just the way I like it!
I have the same case that I just got everything swapped into. Love the 5000D but I find that routing the gpu power cables is a nightmare. Wish there was an opening to the basement of the case.
Dorm setup at my new school. No I don't have a roommate
Dorm setup, need more monitors but am too lazy to install.

(6x) Thermalright TL-C12C-S 120mm PWM ARGB case fans
Vetroo PSU cable extensions
total cost: $229.62
for those interested, the intentional aesthetic focus of this build, with the color matching, cables, and fans, was about an extra $50~ to the total budget, so if the care wasnt put into aesthetics, this would be a killer build at $180~
I’d really love some advice on how to do any of the following:
Reduce/eliminate coil whine, cable manage the inside cables so I don’t see them over rgb
made crappy cinematic edit of my setup hehe

I post a lot of other builds, but my own rig never gets any love. so today i went through and gave it a nice clean up and a quick ram upgrade.
i built this system early 2021 and have slowly added a few parts here and there as i needed them.
its kind of like the thing where a mechanic doesnt like to work on their own car, a PC builder doesnt want to deal with their own PC. but it was time to give it some attention.

my nuc 5 i7 cyberdeck along with seven of my official handhelds; the switch plays older up to n64 and sega stuff in addition to its native library, while the psp plays psx as well as its own; the "laptop" contraption is used for mame/neogeo, ps2/gc/wii, and steam stuff; meanwhile, the older handhelds from gbc to 3ds play mostly stuff meant for those systems

“Are you stupid?”
My genuine response:
Better setup imo. Yes the vertical monitor is curved
Did a fan replacement on my aorus 1080ti, now everything's ready to go from cooler master cm 690 ii to nr200
Redid the entire "setup" at my dad's, also added a 2nd monitor for both PCs
Atx PSU with vertically mounted GPU (300mm) in a nr200
It's possible... But damn it is difficult!
Amazing
Probably need a shorter pcie riser and a support under the GPU before it collapses
Case comparison, 57 liter vs 18 liter
These two have a 10 year difference but they're both amazing
This felt wrong in ways I lack the vocabulary to describe
Another update
Went from a 5600x 32gb of DDR4 3200 to a 7800x3d 32gb of DDR5 6000.
Cleaned up the cables. Added a custom DIY "stream deck" with an old iPad. Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.

Case and psu swapped. A few things I can fix but it was 2am when i was finishing up and I’m happy with it so far
Just got my refurb monitor.. issue is the box had no fragile label, was damaged when I met the delivery driver at the door, and he said it had a few boxes stacked ontop 💀
This is the back of the stand, first physical defect I see, otherwise I have no manual, no clue how to assemble it to the monitor to mount, and ya. Monitor looks fine, just a little defect on the right with the border (maybe it’s dirty?) but otherwise no dents or scratches, scared to turn on though. Edit: everything is so DAMN DUSTY. Acer really begging for a warehouse cleanup 😭
No issues, but I think when I played on 4k the display got messed up 😭
Just finished up a matching set of two midrange custom gaming PCs. lots of fun to build 😄

My second computer I just built
The MSFS flight sim rig
Don’t ask why I have w different ram sticks 🔪
Mayyy get a better looking card, but overall I’m pretty much done with the build

Time to enjoy it before we cover it up
I’m super psyched I can finally post this.
I do plan to upgrade the graphics card. Not shooting to stick with a RX 5700 for long. 😅
I really want to thank everyone here who guided me through the long journey of my second build and helping me put together something wonderful!
Upgraded my lounge room PC with an extra 8GB of DDR3 and an RTX 3060Ti
I7 4790K
Asus H97M-E/CSM
Asus RTX 3060Ti TUF
Asus TUF 550W PSU
Corsair 16GB 4GBx4
DIY front intake carved out too haha.
Change over too itx, cable management is a pain and it didn't help I bought a sfx l psu not just sfx :
Having 8 fans to plug in makes cable management hard in a small matx case +fan hub and 2.5" SSD. But at least it works. (The cpu fans are supposed to be rgb but they broke somehow
My second build
Finally complete
Not the prettiest build but it seems to be working so far lol
new dorm setup
Looking like the final build. Quite happy with how it turned out
Instructed to friend over a voice call on how to build their PC and this is their end result with a
I5-11400,32gb ram,RTX 2080 in a 4000D

Main Rig (rev. 1.0) - Intel Core i5-13600K, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
@analog orbit my set up a bit ago it's changed a tiny bit but not much
Old gaming PC setup. I know it's a ridiculous mess, it is my first PC I've ever had and I didn't care about cable management.
Specs:
Motherboard: Asrock b450M/AC AM4 B450
GPU: RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 Vram

Storage:
500 GB SSD
2 TB HDD
PSU: Corsair CX Series 550 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Non-modular
Had to swap from itx to micro atx because my GPU did not fit 😦
Retro sleeper in progress.
Low-power(ish) build so I don't heat my room up while I’m just web browsing. Meh system but I thought I'd share anyways. Ryzen 2200G and 16GB of memory. No dGPU so I don't heat my room up
Not the greatest pic of it but finally got my upgrades in... My cooler is a lil big
BUILD IS FINALLY WORKING AS INTENDED
New build ❤️
Any suggestions
Second pc I've ever built, this was a small decent gaming rig I built for my cousin
Better lit

My build currently. Will post another update once I change the RGB and install some light strips.
This is the new build has a ryzen 7700x, msi b650p, and 32gb flare gskill, I reused my 2070 from my previous I will upgrade later and I reused the evga 650 psu. Wanted some criticism on the cable management to see how I did
Upgraded pc setup, I got a new keyboard and dual monitor setup
Just installed a ARGB strip. Still need to setup RGB pattern.
family photo
Threw together a basic GPU-less build for my sister for school for the holidays. She does not game at the moment but now has the option to upgrade rather than her old busted laptop that couldn’t do games
Going strong
partner's build is finished
some follow up pics
My 1st build for 2024
R5 7600x / Rx 7800xt
Simple build. Only 1 tiny bit of RGB on the motherboard. Cable management in front isn't a major concern because I don't see the pc.
Slightly updated setup with new desk
xbox setup
blue archive setup
I’ll get better pics eventually
I love this case lol
The setup (for now)
finally got a new build together after YEARS, now rocking with a 14900k and 4090
Keychron V3 with Bsun Pine switches and some random keycaps from Amazon
Did a whole case swap the other day. With the Thermaltake p3 pro case.

First time building a PC. Was fun, and I like how it came out (apart from the cable management)
Shoutout to felix (smart pc person) for shaving a couple of hundred bucks from the build cost
Made the jump from 720 to 1440p with a new monitor and managed to squeeze in my 6950XT (my lights are white not blue I promise lol)

Same rig, new aesthetics, and damn such a good pad...
My PC feels a lot faster with this 7900XT Hellhound
the Chargeback PC:
built this for a customer, showed up with a damaged CPU cooler, so i had the customer send it back, upgraded him to an AIO, was ready to ship it out, and they filed a chargeback, so i guess im stuck with it. fun.

I live in an older house so the walls and such aren't that appealing. Besides that new setup! New desk and got a dual monitor arm mount setup. Really happy with the way it turned out. Hid most of the main wires apart from a few.
Slightly updated setup with a few changes; R5 7600, XFX RX 6950 XT

There are many like it, but this one's mine
With my glass side panel installed, my GPU is worthless
With my GPU vertically mounted, my glass side panel is worthless
||It does look nice tho||
||Paying double for your Asus ROG GPU isnt impressive||
changed some stuff around: removed chromebook, added an old plastic rgb minecraft sword, changed wallpaper and led color
1st pic is before cable management got real and second and third pic is after
Adjusted the pcie cables a bit more
Cable management is pretty crap, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so that's fine
Just moved, need a slimmer extension bar
Will post more and better pics tomorrow but first custom loop with EVC mod is done and working amazing! Looks kind of sketchy, but I feel like that gives it some character and was a little intentional
Just fixed cables 🙂
It's okay guys I cleaned it
Its 2024, there is one man on earth left that doesn’t have a SSD in his computer. That all changes now. I have officially joined the SSD club

Alright guys, just got an antique folding end table for 75 bucks. ) new ones were 250-300, and I moved my setup around to be more clean. Thoughts?
I couldn’t seem to find any 300 dollar folding end tables. Curious what price those sit at. 🤣 (I don’t think they make that anymore)
After a few years finally did rgb again thanks TR
It's finally alive
