Steam has a PS4/PS5 controller driver. Go to settings > controller > general controller settings, then tick the box for Playstation Configuration Support. You can also adjust things like LED brightness and colors.
Once you have that turned on Windows sees it as a Xinput (Xbox style) controller

The latest Snapshot has 2 Account Flags implemented. -DisableMultiplayer and -DisableChat these are flags that can be added to an Account. And, on top of that, the Disable Multiplayer one just straight up greys out the Multiplayer button.
So, if Microsoft deems you to be too toxic, you can just be straight up Banned from Multiplayer on ALL servers.

Noob here, an artist that's never built their own PC, but I was given a Windows Mixed Reality headset and I want to use it to finish and play inside a virtual world I started making on a mac, but I'm at the point where now need a PC even just to view it!
When I go to the headset's website it doesn't give me specs... (it simply 'checks' if my computer can run it...) BUT, I really need it to run Unity MUCH faster/better then with my current 2015 Macbook Pro which is maxed out, (especially when I use an emulator.)
I'm also really hoping for a budget enclosure that somewhat 'disappears' so I can use it in an art gallery, so anything that's quiet and definitely as few fancy lights as possible...
I also however don't want to spend more than like... $700 for everything, from 16 gb ram (can I get more than that?), a decent graphics card (is this more important than ram?), and a backup hard drive.
Any advice? I literally started with Googling: "VR builds, and I can't tell the difference between low and mid range..."
It'd be great if I can use it to play other people's VR games, but honestly, I'm more of a maker and will be using it primarily to LOOK at others' VR artworks so I just want to make sure it can handle even intensive artworks without too much lag?
(Sadly, all of my friends I'd normally ask are super busy with work otherwise they'd help me, but they said to try Newegg's Discord server so here I am!)

If you want prebuilt, prebuilts in the 1200$ range should do fine for you too

It's all down to personal preference wince they both work on their respective consoles and on PC; however, you just have to make sure that the game you're playing recognizes the PS5 controller by going into settings and check the controls either in app or game

Uhhh... Likely the HP Pavilion one. The Ryzen 4600H is a 6c/12t CPU with slightly slower speeds, but that Clock Speed differential doesn't matter when they meet eachother in Single Threaded tasks. I'd make sure you can upgrade the RAM in the Pavilion laptop to 16GB so that you can have a killer little gaming rig on-the-go.
8GB of RAM is quite puny for Gaming in 2021.

Yeah it's not even THAT large of an area, it'll just take a lot of digging to get enough dirt/stone blocks for that last image. The previous ones are a much larger area, and you'd have to hope there's a mountain the right shape nearby or you'll be building one.

It's best to use the controller wired for less latency. Pretty much any Bluetooth 5 adapter will work if you really want wireless. You just put the controller into pair mode (method varies by model) and search for it on the PC. It should work with basic functionality right away in many things, but for full support you'll want to use the steam driver. You can even change the light bar color and brightness.

I just use the onboard wifi/bluetooth card on my motherboard. The ps5 controller is set as a normal controller wrapper on windows. Steam will recognize it as a ps5 controller.
Any 5.0 bluetooth dongle will work fine

Believe it or not, I got this part right. The problem is that I own a generic PS4 controller and also a very cheap Bluetooth dongle. Whenever I test it wirelessly, the controller keeps turning on and off. Not sure if the problem comes from the controller being generic or the dongle for being so cheap.

I installed it first with cable, and then wirelessly. Tested both ways on steam. Wired no issue other than the squishy buttons and occasional unresponsiveness. On wireless there was power interruption and normal reconnection over and over and over

Yet another update for anyone interested. I was able to figure out what was going on with my generic ps4 controller.
It turns out Steam was the problem.
I played Steam games like Shadow of War for continued 20 minutes wirelessly, then after figuring out it was doing fine I closed it and started CEMU. Following standard config on CEMU website I was able to configure and play, as long as Steam was not open and taking priority over the controller.
Note that I did not installed DS4 or any other third party drivers.

it will run fine but for example: i have a 1070 and a rift s, the 1650 super is less powerful than the 1070 and the quest 2 has a higher resolution and refresh rate so if my 1070 can push my rift s okay then 1650s + quest 2 might be pushing it
but you can always turn down rendering resolution if its choppy
but the beauty of the quest 2 is it doesnt need a pc!

q2 has higher res and refresh, id imagine a 1650 super will struggle in some games, you will have to turn down the res, my 2070 still struggles with games like pavlov and vrchat. there has been a new development, some people have been using amd's fidelityx upscaler to imrove vr performance but i do not know if it works with the quest and i do not know if it works with 1650 super

sometimes my team is so uncoordinated i make out a gameplan and what they should do in the round

There's a story, you do the story, you explore the galaxy looking for things to upgrade your capacity to either Explore, Combat Sentinels, or Make Money. And then once you've finished the story you have the whole universe open to your exploration.
At this rate, No Man's Sky is going to be a better Space game than Elite: Dangerous simply because the Elite: Dangerous team can't get the framerate out of the single digits...
