Paradox games just need a nice CPU, they'll run fine on a half decent GPU, newer total war games are more graphically intensive

It depends on what prices are in the end, if you spent 1200$, it might not be worth the hassle to drop down to a 3060 laptop with comparable CPU if it only means saving 200$ since the 3070 might come in useful in the future. If you spent 2000$ and dropping down means saving 1000$, the original price was way overpriced and you should find something that makes more sense for the price.

There are a lot of streamers who use controller.

While aim assist is one of the reasons they will mention, its not the only reason.

I use controller because its more relaxing. I can stay engaged not feel fatigued as quickly. But as someone who plays a lot of cod(not by choice, its literally my job) Aim Assist isn't as broken as some of the loud people make it out to be. Most of the killcams they complain about is desync rather than aim assist.

But yea, cod is not pushing down on the people using the dongle for Keyboard and mouse support, the game supports mouse and keyboard on all 4 consoles its on. You don't need a dongle to use KBM on cod on any of the consoles.

The reason they are going after those dongles is because of the recoil and rapid fire macros among others they allow you to use.

R6 Siege is going after Keyboard and mouse users because kbm is a huge advantage in siege, which it is.

What's the best way to move Epic games to a different drive ?

I just tried to do that with The Crew 2 and now it crashes upon launch.
Steps to reproduce:

• Copy The Crew 2 folder under Epic Games in C: drive to D: drive
• Rename The Crew 2 in D: to something else
• Uninstall within Epic Games Launcher
• Reinstall in D: > Cancel Reinstallation
• Delete the newly created The Crew 2 folder > Change the renamed folder back to its intended title
• Resume + complete installation

This seems to work with other games so far.
So maybe it's an issue with using a launcher (Epic) to launch another launcher (Ubisoft Connect) ?

That'll be a settings issue more than likely. Maxing out all of them is tempting but you have to keep some things in mind like AMD cards not working well with ray tracing.

I have over 600+ Terraria/Starbound/Minecraft clones, and found a screen dump folder from a 2019-2020 backup, that threw a backup of every screen capture, into one folder, and it's maddening not being able to recall what the bloody game is rofl.

Back in 2019-2020, I never allowed Onedrive at that time to save any of my PC data. Onedrive back then was just horrible with saving, as it was like a CD writer. If I shut my PC off while it was writing, all data including backups in that folder were lost, so I disabled onedrive in the registry.

If you looked at me on Steam, 600+ titles, so many look like Terraria, it's not funny. My two top favorites are Terraria and Starbound. Starbound, because unlike Terraria with one huge map, Starbound is virtually unlimited maps, both small to larger than. I make mods for Starbound, and that's also why I built that new gaming Aorus Master Z690 last August. The Z390 was bottlenecking a lot on games that constantly write. I also at the time didn't know moving the RTX to a different slot would help things, as it was directly over the NVME. Come to think of it Fal, I believe it was you who helped me find that out while I was putting my I9 together, while everyone else was warning me not to transfer the old Gamax, and buy a real platinum power supply 🙂

And you were on the nose about the SK Hynix P41 NVME drives. Knock on wood, I have not had a single game or server data loss, ever since I switched from Kingston Fury to SK Hynix P41 drives.

Outworlder now Farworld Pioneers, best example.

Lost a lot of game data prior to last year's build, because I'd shut the game or server off, then power down, not knowing data was still writing. I'd have to be running like 10 plus instances, to cause a data corruption now.

Lol. Long before the Internet, when the only way to leave a message or trade legal games was through BBS, I in place of RGB, made colorful boot ups and login screens, using ANSI graphics. My brother ran a BBS as well off his own system he built, which Id troll him a lot, sneaking in his room, and making boot up messages to look like his PC was giving fatal errors. His SysOp message when he'd jump into chat with people playing Tradewars, the multiplayer version, would say "In a swirl of smoke and burning fires, The Black Shadow appears" I'd troll him so when he jumped into chat, it instead said "The blue booger blows in" which his yelling made it clear he was home from school.
