Kids these days have it nice. Trying to game in the early 90's was a challenge. AMD was the first company to recognize us and make stuff for us. When I moved to South Mississippi in 98 it was like living in the desert. The only tech places were Office Depot and Office Max who didn't cater to our needs. Companies like Newegg and Tiger Direct were our lifesavers. Once every couple of years I would go to Houston to visit Fry's. Today to be able to order anything and receive it in a couple of days instead of 4-6 weeks is a miracle. Although I still live in a tech desert I can get my fix from companies like Newegg any time I feel the urge.

I'm a programmer and I use my computer for software development, and also for daily use, movies internet etc. I'm not a gamer, but I like quality movies, and need to read a lot of small fonts and text.
Anyway, I can't seem to find any website that allows you to filter monitors by actual size, they all go by display-area diagonal line, whereas I'm looking for the best and largest screen to fit in my available clearance.
Anyone know about a website that offers this sort of search?
Otherwise, can anyone please recommend me on a few monitors to choose from for my needs? What specs should I pay attention to?
Here's what my setup looks like. There is like 49-50cm (~19.5") vertical clearance, the speakers will be going away, and I have unlimited room towards the wall (screen depth).
The keyboard drawer is about 90cm (~36") long, and I want the monitor to take up all width of at least the keyboard drawer.

well from what i understand, at least for nvidia, nvidia makes the cards, then sends off the lesser PCB boards with all the graphics and stuff on it but no heatsync or fans or anything to other companies who then try to mod it a bit and add their own heatsync and fans. so all that tinkering can leave some gpus better than others.
so like EVGA black series is horrible as they over heat like crazy, but EVGA SC or whatever are great.
even tho they can be both 2070 and both from evga, they have different pros and cons
