yes but i just did and it is 965.80 aud
I mean the Australian marketplace
yea
this is that same card on the australian site
https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/evga-geforce-rtx-2070-super-08g-p4-3277-kr/p/N82E16814487452
no its not this is the ultra the other is the super
this would work just because of how much cheaper it is than the other ones
https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2070-super-gv-n207swf3oc-8gc/p/N82E16814932285
im going for the super
then this is the same card, still >1000aud
https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/evga-geforce-rtx-2070-super-08g-p4-3172-kr/p/N82E16814487454/
wait a second
wtf
yea ik iv already got it up thanks for the help
GST-Inclusive Price
AUD$965.80
ah probably
thanks for the help
You're welcome
One of them 2070s is $499 for me
yes, and if you look above @trim moat you will see that it is not USD
look again, up above, on the AU site, the price is in .... AUD
not quite.
Says it is for me /shrug
which is your mobile browser redirecting you to the wrong place OR you searching on the wrong site
yes, which is the US site (as shown by the $ sign)
really i totally didn't know what a $ meant
I'm telling you the U.S. price, not the AUD price.
and? :)
@oblique trench got any idea why it showed 1085aud but really was 965aud? Did the first price include VGA protection or smth?
@hollow prawn nope, you would have to talk with the AUS customer service to get an answer to that
I'll be on the site soon, buying a new mobo/cpu/mem/gpu
idk, what do you wanna know
sorry no terrorist allowed.
damn, box out here pulling a 'Merica
I think AMD really should've put no cooler + discount or a wraith prism on the 3600x to justify the premium. $165 3600's are hard to beat.
Id rock the Wraith Prism
are AMD stock coolers enough for non-overclocking uses?
yep
If you're using the Wraith Prism on like a 3600 you can overclock with it
but with PBO2 no point in self overclocking
screw rebates tho
Rebates do take a while
screw rebates
You're not the one with a 10 dollar cooler master rebate card
Same
Frankly I'm surprised they even sent out plastic in lieu of just giving you a check.
cheap smartphone
65% off idk how good it is
It's a fine phone, very ordinary, nothing unique about it but if you don't mind lg's skin, it's the jack of all trades master of none
Also headphone jack plus quad dac
$60 for a H500 from NZXT
really good deal
my case (which is similar in regards to style) cost $90
tempered glass window and that NZXT bar is really good for $60
@hollow prawn was just about to say that
Ya bad airflow. It doesn't even support a 240mm radiator on the top
Yeah, I have this case, temps aren't too bad, but definitely not the best case for airflow
The front vents are just bad.
@sleek canopy why are all of your pfps so cursed 😂
@final scarab if only you knew the source...

I dont want to know
Homeworld Remastered $ 5.24
https://www.gog.com/game/homeworld_remastered_collection
Stellaris $10
https://www.gog.com/game/stellaris
free?
Get it zack
i did
Dope
need horror games suggestions
if you are into an older style horror game with a cool plot and really nice music Pocket Mirror is pretty good
@spice axle what's ur case????
ibuypower snowblind element atm that still hasn't shipped
waiting to hear about a 780t from a guy on facebook for $100
@meager oak
if I get the 115i it's only going to be until I budget out for a custom loop for my cpu and gpu
Good deal or nah?
if you want a sexy 5700 xt or putting a waterblock on it - yes
if neither of those apply to you - no
you could get a thicc 2 for the same price (they fixed their cooler), or for better cooling a gigabyte gaming oc for $400
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6kdrxr/gigabyte-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8-gb-gaming-oc-video-card-gv-r57xtgaming-oc-8gd
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/p8MTwP/xfx-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8-gb-thicc-ii-video-card-rx-57xt8dfd6
But I mean like what would be the advantage of getting the thicc 2 over it?
blower reference card tho
I dont think blowers are that bad if you have good airflow. I might be biased because I have a blower tho...
they're bad
Aight lol
blower on 5700XT and Vega were horrible. They didnt come with good contact on the GPU die or sometimes memory (mostly with Vega iirc)
yeah blowers in general arent good too
HI, just left the customer service chat; Does anyone have any recommendations for deals on a laptop that will handle online school for a semester or two, and be able to handle gaming to around PS4/Xbox One level specs (i.e. handle games like Witcher 3, Rocket League, etc)? I currently have my eyes on the MSI GF Series GF63 THIN, but wanted this groups opinion if possible. Thank you in advance!
Budget?
No more than $1000 if possible, but the cheaper the better on a college student ramen-noodle budget
used laptops with 7700HQ/8300H and 1060 6gb are about $750 USD
Are those a usually reliable purchase from Newegg?
used laptops are better off found on sites like eBay. Sometimes can find some refurbished stuff on Newegg for decently cheap
Thank you! Any tips/advice when shopping around? I appreciate the help and feedback btw
Here is the easy to look for a laptop
Pick a few specs and search them up (if eBay then just do "1060 6gb laptop" in search menu, if newegg then goto categories and select 1060 for laptop, etc) and then sort by lowest price. Then pick cheapest laptop and do research on it to see if build quality and temps are good. Then look at the next few laptops and pick the best one out of them, or whatever is worth the money
Thanks again for the help, you guys have a good one
Im looking for a decent laptop able to run games (fortnite, overwatch, cod etc.) and can handle school work. Max budget 800 aud. Might be a bit strange but preferably no gaming in the name and pretty lightweight. ssd is prefered and 8gb ram minimum. Thanks
Asus had a 15in with ryzen 5 and mx150 for like $600-$700usd I saw a while back
Otherwise under $1000, gaming and lightweight don't go together
Reason: Bad word usage
Holy crap that can take a lot of ram
If you want to see a lot of RAM slots...
Plus you can get that with dual socket CPU, not too many boards that have it but basically double that amount of RAM in the pic there
Really hard to find nice images of dual SP3 socket with max RAM config. All images I try to find are low res
16 slots
asking again
Im looking for a decent laptop able to run games (fortnite, overwatch, cod etc.) and can handle school work. Max budget 800 aud. Might be a bit strange but preferably no gaming in the name and pretty lightweight. ssd is prefered and 8gb ram minimum. Thanks
@lone depot that is not a lot of budget for what you are asking
based on a quick look around at the AU shops i know about, if you want a laptop with anything that resembles a decent GPU, 1000 aud and above seems to be the way
let me correct that and say, 1200+ AUD
@finite fjord I don’t feel comfortable not knowing what that is
It has a micro SD card slot 👀
And I don't see anything that resembles a chipset, except for that little heatsink near the rear I/O
Does the CPU serve as a chipset?
Yes
Oh bruh
And wait a minute...PCIe x32?
Yeah just about to ask that lmao
Long boy
Proceeds to stick a ram stick in it...
Lol
Also, isn’t it weird to have only two 16x slots on a server board?
It's for big brain computers
Woah :0

$288.99 with promo code EMCDHDN26 for a brand new 3700x ^
$379.99 with promo code EMCDHDN37 for a brand new RTX 2070 ^
$109.99 with promo code EMCDHDN25 for brand new EVGA Supernova 750w 80+ gold PSU
$6 HDMI 2.0 cable with promo code EMCDHDN22
(its a 6ft long cable)
Amazing deals zack
@austere thunder that big metal thing in-between the RAM slots is the CPU socket. It just has a cover over it
@bleak pike AMD Epyc mobo. For latest gen, 7000 series, on SP3 socket
Oh bruh
I'm looking for a laptop that run games like fortnite, overwatch and cod, can do online school, and is relatively light. Strange request but can it not have gaming in the name like "gaming laptop". What I mean by light is I can carry it around without feeling weighed down to much. Max budget 800 aud.
As was mentioned earlier, that is not enough of a budget to adequately cover your requirements

Questions on parts choice are best directed to #building-and-recc-chat
Ah ok
I thought it was 40 off 210$, but its 40 off 250$.
What setting would be required on fortnite with and mx250
my guess is low-med do you have any idea?
It's comparable to the GT 1030, which gets like 40fps
not really lol
compared to my holy iGPU
but it can run it
so im happy
anyways thanks for trying to help me yesterday
How much can GTX 2080 to with an 19-9900 run
I’m fortnite

I mean this sentence
fortnut
19th gen
I'm fortnite
mans living in 2078
not even the k variant smh
yeah
@finite fjord I know :p
I was confused about where the board had a chipset, if it has one at all
that is a great deal
Are you being sarcastic lol I can't tell
Well dang. Here I thought the used 2080 I'd been eyeing for 500 was a good deal
B stock you can also get 2080S for 640
https://www.evga.com/Products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-3183-RX
Only like 60 bucks cheaper tho
🎆
Can someone help with me a find a laptop that doesn't look like a gaming laptop (don't like it)
Storage: SSD 500+ GB
GPU: A decent GPU able to run games like fortnite (I can turn settings to mid)
CPU: Pretty good
RAM: 8GB minimum ddr4+ prefered
Budget: Try below 1000 AUD
Battery: 6 hours+ or not to bulky cord but 4 hours minimum
Thanks!
Shadow.
I already suggested the Asus zenbook, but dell Inspiron with mx250 is good choice, as is the mi notebook if you can find one
But under 1000aud(650usd) you'll have to search around for something with those specs and portability
On Amazon, there were 3 standouts
@lone depot Asus tuf fx504, Acer aspire 5 (mx250), Lenovo flex 14 (r5 3500u)
That's if you want new, you could always look for refurbs too
Any deals on 2 or 3 pack Corsair rgb fans?
Preferably ll120’s if any one could find a deal on those
🙏🏻
Looks fair enough for a prebuilt
They can't
Skytech makes it to be sold on newegg
You can still do better with a custom build :p
Yea
If I were to build it myself I would definitely keep the cpu /gpu
What would you change
To make this better
What would be max?
If you want to compare right at <1100, this is basically the prebuilt but better in many ways
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XmKsPn
Better ram better ssd better psu
For a bit more
I can get a better case and more storage
like this for 1200$
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/B6dGtp
wdym
The H500 was chosen bc that looks similar to the prebuilt
you can swap that out for anything else that might look better to you
The focus G is a fine case, I'm using it rn
@balmy root thanks for the advice I think I'm going to buy the Acer Aspire 5 from micro center
Np
looks like it costs as much as any other 2060, if not a bit more
what am i missing?
yeah i don't see the interest
considering the MSRP of the 2060 is 300
My apologies
Anyone, a build with sub-1000 range, have Ryzen 5, and a rx5700/rx5700xt
@cursive gust https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DcZrPn try this one
@granite dirge this was my try https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gQmWjp
If ur looking for an SSD for booting, then u can go with a 250gb one and get a 2 tb hdd and it would cost around the same price as a 1 tb ssd
also you'll have to do a bios update with that board
id also go with a 600+ psu just to be safe
@cursive gust few $ more but just a slight quality upgrade https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4QDfRk
-SSD: 2x more storage for $5 - $10 more
-Case: tempered glass case
-PSU: bit better quality for small price increase
That board doesn't need a bios update @granite dirge
but I want a boot drive/hard drice setup
that board is better than the tomahawk max
Soo
But it is tho
oh sry didnt see
I gave the SSD/HDD combo
a+
nice
Is the specs overall good though?
yeah
Okay thank you all for the help!
welcome
wOw LoOk grEaT dEaL oN EbaY
ae lol
I might have to cop that are they still in stock? Easy resale money
eBay wyd
not great considering 1600af is 85
Yeah that price has been the normal "sale" price since black friday
so I got 6 thermaltake fans for my case and idk how I'm going to orient them
side/top side/bottom or top/bottom
same number intake as exhaust
20$ off if bought with a mobo
Lots of High people here
dw bout it
Lol
Anyone know a good 850w power supply crossfire ready on sale?
What GPUs and CPU do you have? Also what workloads do you do (to determine whether you'll be going multi GPU in the future after some upgrades)
@pallid saddle there is a good chance that most stores are closed cause of what is going on
Just send in a steam washed land based drone
I just picked up an asrock x570 phantom gaming 4 on sale for a 3900x @lone depot
@hybrid lichen How's it working? and does it support SLI & Gsync?
sli isn't really worth it and it's the gpu and monitor that determine whether it has gsync not the mobo
Don’t waste money on a second GPU just for SLI
And G-Sync will work on all modern Nvidia GPUs
@finite fjord gonna be using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, two Radeon R9 280s, 9 Thermaltake pure 12 rgb fans, 2 ssds
@long bridge any reason for not doing a 1660 Super or something? Crossfire has pretty poor support and is end of lifed so no new games will ever support it
same with fans?
lot of that fan budget with selling the GPUs could get you smth decent tbh
anyways, can run that system on a 650w PSU
Weird I used another calculator and it came out to be like 780.
So if I wanted a budget Radeon card to replace my old ones, what would I look for?
The new 5700's look nice but too expensive for me right now
R9s are power hungry i would get a bigger psu than 650
Do research on power consumption
Then tell me about power consumption. 650w is good enough for crossfire 280. Dont just simply go by the average "R9? Oh must be power hungry" stuff
@long bridge That's the issue with calculators. They arent really that correct. Tho, probs smth to consider, are you OCing?
Nope shouldn't need to, the 3600 looks good enough for my gaming needs.
Oh, hadn't planned on it. Figured the two together would be okay for now.
Then yeah, that 650w PSU will be fine
assuming this coupon code works this is one hell of a deal
Am i understanding that correctly lol
seems too good to be true
am I reading that right that it'd be under $300?
Scoom
getting super anxious... I get to put my pc together on tuesday
I mean I could test the internals rn but I'd rather wait for my case
congrats
I would recommend testing before you put everything together tho
You gotta do it eventually
or just put it all together and hope for the best
If your fine with taking it all apart if something doesn't work then sure
This website has some really good deals
https://www.cdkeys.com/
Don’t overpay! Enjoy the latest games at the cheapest price now. Get instant delivery of CD Keys for Steam, Origin, Uplay, Battle.net, GOG, PSN and XBOX.
(On games)
any good deals for a 2070 super?
dont use cdkeys, they are known to resell keys which makes your game invalid
just like g2a
humblebundle ftw
Basically with cdkeys and g2a is people buy codes with stolen credit cards and sell them there.
@cloud kestrel
o h
Ye lol
The code can be deemed as illegally gotten in some for of way
well lets put it this way. The stollen cards purchase gets reported. The money for it gets recalled. The money is yanked from w/e store. They find the key that was purchased and invalidate your code
then you paid for a now no longer valid code and they dont feel bad for you
and your stuck with the bill
so essentually you paid for a product you cant use. G2A might not help you and probably wont. and the person who posted the key if they were smart still got your money
ah
boards are expensive tho
Ya i was thinking for resale tho
The R5 3600 is 165 on newegg rn
It just keeps getting cheaper
Ya um I realized that a little after I posted it 😂
Guy's which lan chipset is best intel or realtek?
hardware wise they basically perform the same (unless you try to compare a great Intel to bad Realtek; good Intel to good Realtek is about the same). Tho Intel does have better drivers for some very specific use cases. Standard consumer use case will be basically the same
249 votes and 123 comments so far on Reddit
it doubles as a defense mechanism for your machine incase someone tries to mess with it
Wait what
I have 8 in my system, was looking to upgrade to 16gb
I just looked up price per module and realized this isnt anything special
yeah it isnt
according to my friend assassins creed 2 is free on uplay right now
not sure. if it is, but he said it was so maybe check it out?
yup, can confirm it is free to claim
I got me some haybale jumping simulator 2
Haybale jumping sim?

oculus quest back in stock
hmm
sadly Rift S still out
any news on the Rift S, despite the absence of stock?
i dont follow stock/out of stock stuff
i have my rift s, no reason for me to look into it lol
once again, oculus prioritizing the quest
:(
-84%
steam
almost all games there are discounted.. and its being advertised by g2a but .. more cheaper than g2a xD
Screw g2a, they destroy indie devs
https://www.kinguin.net/ another cheap steam keys
https://software-codes.com/products/windows-10-pro
cheapest windows 10 pro retail key
€3.76 -> or $4.13
I would honestly just buy from eBay
Like, that's cool, but the website is sketch, along with the keys themselves
I would rather get sketch keys on eBay, which isn't sketch
how does it come about that people sell windows keys so much cheaper? it's priced high at retail, but so many resellers can pull off prices like 50 bucks
and the free online "codes"
@pallid saddle we dont accept pirates here kinda leave if you continue to say that
how does it come about that people sell windows keys so much cheaper? it's priced high at retail, but so many resellers can pull off prices like 50 bucks
@cloud kestrel first buy bundle = you get discount
simple
hmm
or wholesale buy it all horde it
so buy windows in either bulk and/or wholesale, then resell at a profit and make stonks?
ye
Like, that's cool, but the website is sketch, along with the keys themselves
@wide trout yeah Software-codes looks sketch but its a merchant under g2play and theres many reviews about it.
see i bought one
Lol
retail channel 🙂
I suppose there's no real risk in buying sub-5 dollar keys because
When it stops working, just buy another
I remember when this channel used to be only used for tech deals...
Maybe I remembered wrong
Maybe it was just a dream
Maybe I'm dreaming now
Pinch me
Maybe you slipped into another reality
Where technology is affordable and the world isn't poor
$370 for a good cooler 5700 xt
If you need one that's a good deal
Dang.
any good prices on memory rn??
yeah lots
so are prices good, down from being up, up from being down, or just bad atm?
it seems like there are some pretty good deals atm, bought 2 tb of barra storage for $50
probs due to a shortage?
i thought thats what drove prices up
for some things i imagine
like nvm drives went down i believe but sata went up
but im tryna get some 3600 16gb ram
but the price went like $5 minimum for most of what i looked at last week
if ur trynna deck out, 3600 makes sense but i dont think it would kill just to go 3200
ya was thinking that too
if the small difference bothers, you most likely wouldve already bought the 3600 lol
well i havent bought either yet lul
still bothers me to see 2 32gb sticks go for $325
disgusting
i'd rather spend that on a case
3600 is good for ryzen
It's not overkill at all
it's pretty standard
3200 is standard for intel
nah 3200 is more than plenty for ryzen 3600-3700
3600 is better, but you don't need it.
at least from what ive been told
It's pretty standard from my experience
I mean both 3200 and 3600 are standard in a lot of builds. But you don't need 3600. as long as you're above 3000 youre fine
Well you don't need it at all, but it really is standard to get 3600 for ryzen 3rd gen
I believe its a 5% increase in perf overall from 3200
yep
For those interested EVGA is having their mid week madness sale.
https://www.evga.com/products/feature.aspx
Lol np
I just picked up the 2060. That deal made it worth paying more than what I was about to for the 1660.
$200 for a b-stock x299 dark is ok, it's been $250 new with the 3 year warranty somewhat often.
Fantastic board though.
400 dollar rtx 2070
Is the madness weak worth buying? Has anyone bought a product did it last long?
when ur to cheap and wait a year to buy all ur stuff on black friday
yeah right 😂 thats me
I mean its not cheap if you can't afford it otherwise
https://software-codes.com/products/windows-10-pro
cheapest windows 10 pro retail key
@ripe mango HA I GOT A WINDOWS 10 PRO FOR $2.17
when i first built my pc
ye
oh yeah it's on sale
Is this website reputable?
^
i cant say all ebay keys work, but the ebay keys ive bought all worked. your best bet is to buy from a reputable seller and one listing that has sold a lot
also lol @glass cradle we have the same pfp but different colors
yeah haha did you make your own too?
nice
where do y'all get those pfp's anyway
i made it on ProCreate on my ipad pro
you just get a picture of you that you want to use and trace it
ah
hmm
just cause 4 free on epic games
ya
free forever?
you get to keep it
yea
just gotta claim it before the 23rd
trash
Is that how all of their free games work?
That works for me.
is the gigabyte rtx 2070 for $370 worth it?
Bunch of Jackbox games on sale
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/sale_jackbox/
nice
nice
Why does that need to be pinned?
because
Good deals get pinned temporarily
I tried to send a newegg link, but MEE6 said it wasn't allowed??
Might be because your not lvl 3 yet
I can put it in here if you dm me it if you want
you mean
https://www.dominos.com/en/
I’m interested in getting a really good gaming laptop that’s also good for all things school and was wondering if anybody here would know enough about that to help me out? Feel free to dm with any ideas
what budget?
Was going to ask that question too
@ashen cape what budget?
Hey can someone help me find a good pc on 1000$ if you find pls DM me with nividia 2070 pls
Can someone help me find a good gaming pc for 600 I know it’s not good but that’s all I can afford with at least 140 FPS
at least 140Fps for $600?
what games do you plan to run
and what resolution
@sudden hedge
@sudden hedge the best you could get on a $600 build is prolly a 1600af paired with a 2060
if you wanna go any higher your case is gonna be a cardboard box
I am looking for a plain jane case to build a decent gaming/home comp. I have a MSI B360-A Pro motherboard and a 550W power supply any tips
@limber oriole minecraft of lowest settings is what he's trying to run
is the evga 2060 KO worth the money because is only 300$ and seems to good to be true
Would love to replace my Geforce 960 GTX 4GB... but only if the price is right. I've been suggested the AMD 580rx 8GB for about $180, which looks nice.. also looking at the GF 1650 4GB's... most seem to be going out of stock though.... Would another 4GB card be silly should I just grab the 580rx?
for gaming, i'd look up performance of the games you play @deep timber
that's what matters most
don't worry about clock speeds and ram capacity and all that stuff
just for example, go on youtube and search "rx580 minecraft" and videos will pop up showing how it performs
^ make sure it matches your vram and specs
But other than that zack had a good suggestion
I did that with my pc parts
dont get the 1650, its terrible for the price and the newer 1650 super is also the same price for much better performance
I've watched a few comparing the 580x 8gb vs the 1650 Super 4gb (possibly 6gb)... and they seemed fairly even. I honestly prefer Geforce, been a lifer come GPU's.. still remember my 8800 GTS, before that yikes I forget.. VooDoo II? lol
I'm also very stubborn, I tend to stick with what has worked for me.. all my rigs have been AMD's on ASUS MB's... Upgraded my old Phenom 9850 about 2 years ago to the Ryzen 5.
NewEgg had a "triple-play" deal pop up one day for the Ryzen 5, ROG B350-F, w/ 16GB G.Skill DDR4 for like $290-300. Just an amazing deal... couldn't have asked for a better price/combo.. kinda like they read my mind lol.
I just miss the days of BFGTech and their Lifetime Warranty's come GPU's.. They were so incredible.. but I guess that's what put them out of business :(
My last 2-3 GPU's have been eVGA, 8800 GTS, 960 GTX, not sure what shall come next.
crypto mining with lifetime warranties can you imagine
@exotic finch buy it's $285 on Newegg
Hey can someone help me find a good pc on 1000$ if you find pls DM me with nividia 2070 pls
There's nothing there
Overall Review: I assumed the green light underneath was programmable RGB of some sort, but it is not. It can only be green, which looks odd with my blue themed gaming desk. You CAN turn it off completely - low, med, and bright. It also does a "breathe mode" like RGB controls often can do. Also, the green light is only in the center-most part of the base/bezel, not on each side, that's just a green sticker.
what a crap monitor, i cant even change the color of the stickers.
nvm trash product.
post it
i really want to share it but at the same time if people buy it then they'll raise the price
i'll go find it
(it's refurbished though)
oh
they already raised the price
lol
Oof
That monitor is a tn panel tho @outer cypress
I mean sure tn panels have gotten a lot better but its just not as great of a deal now
2k, 144hz, adaptive sync on a 27" IPS panel is like $500
Too bad it's pick up only

Thoughts on this case? Also didnt see any mention of harddrive mounts
It says it supports 4 3.5in drive mounts
I saw that afterwards, trying to figure out if this would be an upgrade from my ibuypower I series 504 case
personally i'm not a fan of house brands as a rule of thumb, but i've heard good things about rosewill
rosewill is newegg's brand
The Rosewill's arent' half bad, I have purchased a few in the past to toss my "older" systems into whenever I upgrade heh.

I ordered, from Newegg, an HP EliteDisplay 22" 1920x1080 60 hz, 5ms refresh, HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort and USB 3.0 inputs. Advice? Was that a good buy, for the money and no I'm not buying it for gaming, I just wanted a good affordable monitor with the right inputs.

i have a good suggestion get a 1650 or if you want to spend 60 more $ settle with a asus tuf 1660 super on amazon but newegg has better deals
or buy used
just dont get a 1650 period, the 1650 super exists at the exact same price point
ngl get a 1660ti if you can find one for the same pricepoint as that 1660 super
Any recommendations for a 144hz monitor under $300
This has been my suggestion IF you can wait.

The acer and the Msi are basically the same
Ok thanks
A couple weeks ago that Acer one was on sale for $100
Well it was Acer refurbished
Oh ok
Still
Well it's still too much even 100€
I got it and had no signs of wear
I have it and it's a pain to use it
Yeah
It's really bad, it overheats, it lags in the home screen, it's just not made to be existing
Oh well, I am the lucky one then lol
Lol
What?
oh lol
Ahaha
ive never had luck with laptops
I thought he was talking about that Acer vg240y
Yes
desktop
I thought you were talking about the acer one as the aspire one
No
I kinda want a razer laptop
Well, I missunderstood
like the stealth
cuz i aint abt to buy a macbook
@atomic lagoon I would even like a pc that costs 600€
Macbook duuumb
500 or so us dollars
Very good if used
Ryzen 2600x were $100 a while back
Still?
WHAT???
Oof
You serious?
I'm upgrading my PC and need recommendations
what do you have now
I5 6600 fury x
and now im an rgb nut haha
Awww man, my cousin for my confirmation bought me this aspire 1 for 600€
i9 9900k no exceptions
I'm deciding between a 1070 1660s or 980ti
R9 fury x
1660s has raytracing?
its not an rtx card
I thought only 1660ti
It's built with the same architecture
Ooooh
It probably wont run it well
Only 1660Ti?
Do you need a 1660ti bios?
1660ti received raytracing support
it wont run well prolly
But I know that my friend, who streams unlocked jt
True
rtx cards can barely run it
It runs smooth actually
lmao minecraft with rtx
Lol
Ray tracing is tuff for a 2060 so I doubt a 1660s could do better
rtx 2080ti goes from like 200+fps to like 60
But dlss 2.0 helps a ton
yeah
What even is dlss
Yeah, idk how he did it but he pulled 30 fps from cod
Wack
If you consider that it's a 1660
dang
Yeah, it doesn't?
Wait wat
i know bf5 does
Oh
cods is useless though
I don't play games so much or watch videos about them
just ruins frames
yeah im into hardware now
K I gtg cya
bye
Cya
Man, here in Europe and especially in Italy will be a lot difficult to buy parts for a px
Pc*
Like, a lot difficult
yeah
It was already before but now for that fact that we all know about it will be even worse
i just built mine in december so itll be a while b4 i upgrade
I did a lot of aesthetic stuff
my psu cables are annoying so i might get extensions
For 1000 bucks
yeah you can get insane deals on 1080s
What cable management have you achieved?
1080 super?
Never heard of it
Am I so back in the news?
gtg
Bye
@atomic lagoon retail prices for 10 series cards are all out of wack
Don’t ever call something a deal based on current retail prices
wut lol
I’m unsure what you mean
1080tis when they first launched we’re about $700 USD
Now they’re well over $1k because Of demand and shortages
So if you see one for $600 don’t call it a deal. That’s not what they’re going for
Maybe 2 weeks after they launched
i see 2080ti for $1200, if i find another for $300 can i not call it a deal?
That’s obviously not what I said
Sorry I thought you meant current generation hardware MSRP like the 20 series
What would you call it instead? a "this is a very smart buying choice for the frugal-minded"?
Like if you buy a 1080ti for $600 right now you’re overpaying
New retail price 1080tis are over $1k which is definitely not what they’re worth
Ah ok
What are you on about? 1080ti for 600$ new is a pretty good price
Used I'd say 400$ is a good deal
but why would you buy a 1080ti new?
but New, 600$ is pretty good
I wouldn’t pay more than $430 for a 1080ti
It's still got great preformance
I wouldn’t buy a new 1080ti anyway
i saw a 1080ti for 350
What, you going to buy a rx5600xt to compete with that instead?
I’m going to buy a 1080ti+ brand new
1080ti still got a lot of performance behind it
And buy the extra protection plan
for 600 you could probably get a 2070s or 2080 new
Not as good as a 1080ti still
A 2080 super is about equivalent
Unless you want ray tracing of course
a 2080 is a competitor and has rt, tensor cores along with the new nvenc module
But $200 for ray tracing alone?
