depending what he plays, nothing wrong with a 1050ti
except the price

I can get this used for 80 😤

Bit high but that was the model in my brother's computer
For pretty much those same prices @outer cypress you can get a 1650 Super and also the MSI card for the 1050 Ti requires a 6 pin connection as well
@sly zodiac for 160$ you can get a 1650 Super which you can have a warranty as well in case something was to happen
I do t want a 1050ti
I wanted a 1070 originally and I just dropped to 1060 cuz money
Do you think I can get a 1650 S used for a out 130?
Ok.. I'll look around thx
who would buy a used 1050?
u can get a 1650 super 4gb for 159 but theyre all sold out atm
Oh... Yea I need sum like a 1060 around $100
the 1650 4gb super is better btw
GTX 1650 SUPER versus GTX 1060 6GB performance comparison. Compare graphics card gaming performance in 49 games and in 1080p, 1440p, and 4K at Ultra, High, Medium, and Low quality settings. Compare specifications, price, power, temperature, and CPU bottlenecks.
didnt see that one coming being its just a 4gb lol
not sure but u could check facebook marketplace i got my 1070 from there
Alright
@rancid ether Doesn't look sold out https://www.newegg.com/zotac-geforce-gtx-1650-super-zt-t16510f-10l/p/N82E16814500485
The one's that are gone is 90% of the MSI cards and the Asus/Gigabyte card but the Zotac and the RVGA one's are a better buy
bigger fans
he wanted a 1060 for 100
next best thing is a 1650 super but they not 100
https://i.gyazo.com/46ef373b654d6945e53c42ac88631bde.png Same price as the Zotac one so ya
Honestly i wouldn't have gotten that Aero card
nah single fans suck
id pay the extra 10 and get the evga
has bigger fans also
so more airflow
Well single fan only sucks depending on who made it
My 1660 is a single fan and is always quiet and cool
my case is huge and quiet so i usually run my fans at max
This is my single fan EVGA card and its temps on silent mode https://i.gyazo.com/ee1cecf5a1435281e8f9a5958900f4c5.png
id say 28c is pretty much on the cool side
on what game tho it didnt look like it was suing alot
looked like 1gb
but then again i run my games at 1440p max
144hz
my 1070 gets 59 i think
should i repaste?
Every game i have thrown at this card max load is 60c
o ok so aircooled 59 is good?
80c to 90c is repasting time
you never want it to get even close to 90c
i learned that from the Asus 570 i had
Is it easy to replace the paste on a GPU? I've never done it.
the 570 i had cause it was 85c i had to lower it from 1300MHz down to 1090MHz just so it would get a little cooler and when i replaced the thermal paste (which Asus did a bad job at) it went even lower
most common cards it is just removing the 4 screws removing the fan wire and jiggle it around until it comes off
after use 70% to 99% rubbing alcohol to clean off all the paste on the dye and heat sink and then put a new dot of thermal paste on and put it back together
If there is thermal pads on your card make sure they stay on the VRM's
im at 73% ram usage wow
definately goping back intel i never had these issues befopre
rammap
sure
ill just go back intel. they dont have these issues
have fun.
o i will lol
Aren’t you also buying 4000mhz ram or something
The latest Windows update has a bug that uses more RAM than it is supposed to. Try restarting your computer to clear it out.
It's not affecting me
@rancid ether ive had plenty of ram leaks, and ive never used a amd processor
try rammap
I suggested that already rofl.
im reinforcing your suggestion with evidence that intel wouldnt make it any better
😤
and its not a suggestion, its a command
😤😤😤
You can also update your chipset driver for your motherboard, the newest one out was posted on Nov. 25. I did that and haven't had a memory leak in a while.
ive tested it out on both my computers its not a ram leak its ryzen. i have a i5 system and a ryzen system. i use a total of 4gb gaming and on this one i was just at 72% for my ryzen. ryzen is a memory hog and its performance is also dependant on that ram
Is your OS build 1909?
Mine is and i have no memory leakage https://i.gyazo.com/29c4f912c3150b45d5de633da11be72e.png
I have had a memory leak on my 3800x , x570 board only after I updated to 1909. Before I did not notice any memory leaks. When I updated my chipset driver I have not seen any more memory leaks so I would suggest that.
When I first turn on my computer and before any program starts it usually uses about 4gb of RAM.
rammap ftw
Lol I have 32gb of RAM it is possible that it allocates more because I have a lot. :)
run msinfo32.exe to show full build version info
i found lenovo s740 touchscreen laptop i think its a good deal but i cant find any reviews on it. any reason why?
it just came out like last month didnt it @dense rapids
I just built a pc for $670 last week it's pretty middle line but it's going to be my freind from works sons (they paid for it) if anyone wants the part list I think its $630 now it has rx 580 for its graphics card and a ryzen 5
is it a good idea to buy this? it has similar specs to others like xps 15 but it is much cheaper. Is it likely to have large undiscovered flaw?
what?
school, light gaming
the cpu is decent, the gpu is a 1650 so you won't get much gaming out of that
I'd say just build your own pc
its the 15.6 in 4k touch screen premium you're paying for
Little more than half of what your paying for ^
Better specs
And you can use the rest to but a touch screen monitor
Average
To play games off of a laptop would be really expensive
Dell’s Biggest Black Friday Ever starts Now! Save up to 50% on Laptops, PCs, Gaming PCs, TVs, Monitors & Electronics - FREE DELIVERY ✓.
games are not main priority, priority is watching movies and stuff and for schoolwork, hencd 4k and touch
You have the same card but a diffrent processor
So gaming would be still pretty meh but everything else would be fine
Itd be great working for that kinda stuff
But I wouldnt buy it lol
Lol nvm I read it wrong I thought the first said 880 sorry I have boomer eyes
no problem
https://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/dell-laptops/new-inspiron-14-5000-2-in-1-laptop/spd/inspiron-14-5485-2-in-1-laptop/n25485dknqh can watch movies and do school work and spend almost 1000$ less and has touch lol
I'd say go with the cheaper one
so what would the difference in price be due to? all i see is wifi and ports
128gb is a little less @west badge
Yeah there's cheap 4k laptops that wont be able to game at all but do everything else
both 1 tb
You can add/replace the storage with something better
ok
and also would still be spending a lot less
non customizable
The only difference then is memory
The 2nd one has 32
The first has 16
The first is better price wise
For the laptop i linked when i say add/replace i mean doing it yourself
You dont need to customize the laptop
ohh ok
with parts you know is good
do you have experience with Microsoft? how are returns and stuff
haven't bought form there before
@gray ravine how much of a deal is this https://www.newegg.com/platinum-grey-lenovo-ideapad-l340-81lw000dus-mainstream/p/N82E16834845072
ok im going to get the lenovo and hope it isn't badly quality controlled or something
@dense rapids The Ryzen system's are actually very good for what they can do
Reason: Bad word usage
I forgot to get rid of it ;-;
Did you ping me a naughty word?
I said the graphics card is s word

The graphics card is bad everything else is pretty decent I'd only spend 200- 250 on it but laptops with touchscreen are expensive @west badge
Well it is a system for media and school work so he wouldn't need something like a 1650
Which one ?
the one recommend by ecksgamer
Relevant for school and movies for probably like 4 years yeah
For gaming, it's not even relevant now
If you're only using it for school work and movies it can last a long time
1650 you could play like the new CoD game on medium to high settings
If you want something for gaming I'd say get that laptop and build a pc with the rest of your money
ive never built a pc before...
If they had one of those Ryzen laptops with thunderbolt 3 could of went with an external GPU for gaming
brb
If you play big single player games like rdr2 youd have to play on low to mid for a good framerate
mostly low for a non super
I count 40 as a good frame rate
Well getting over 30 fps would be everything low and high textures
1050 Ti and 1650 is not meant for that game really
An rx 580 runs it fine on medium
and rx580 is substantially better than those 2 cards though
I mean yeah but only 36% tho
Here is RDR2 on a 1650 Super https://i.gyazo.com/cb87c184a0ef7cf6904f289f0a13d9a9.jpg
I thought they'd be fine with it
I mean my first graphics card was on the razer blade stealth 15 lol rx 580 is 300% better but I still think my old laptop could run it
The only problem with cards like the 1650S is that it would last for a good 2 maybe 3 years
Rdr2 doesnt look that good on medium
I remember playing it on console
Literally the best graphics I'd ever seen until death stranding
soo am i getting ripped off?
On a console
for which?
i meam maybe i dont really play that many games, just as a possibilty so low settings or whatever is fine
But the only way to get a better price for a gaming laptop is to not buy a laptop
yeah i dont aim as primary gaming
If you're fine with it then it's good
ok thank you
Np
Gaming for a laptop without touch this would be the best https://www.newegg.com/black-msi-gf-series-gf65-thin-9sd-008-gaming-entertainment/p/2WC-000C-00FB5
16gb memory i5 and a 1660 Ti
@dense rapids
Could play almost everything maxed
Well for art you would get that draw pad instead
I hear an iPad is great for that stuff and cheaper
im in high school lol but probably something computer science related in college
@dense rapids The MSI laptop would be the better buy overall even though it doesn't have a touch screen
Can anyone find a 5700 or 2070 for under $290? might be hard but fingers crossed. ; )
they used to have a blower 5700 for like 280 on amazon, but the lowest one rn is $300 https://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=445&sort=price&page=1
thats pretty good but do you think the prices will go down on cyber monday by a lot?
i mean it wouldn't kill to wait, a few models are $300 so i doubt they all will go up
and the cheapest 2060 Super/2070 is $400
yeah I’m hoping the 5700 goes down a bit by monday
thx
Going to have to wait about 6 months to a year for that to happen
You could always wait to see if they make a 5500 XT
If anyone is looking for a 2700x go to microcenter i am pretty sure it is still on sale for 160 USD. (which is dirt cheap)
Yes previously it was but they bumped it up to 160 at least at my microcenter
I was about to check but the site keeps crashing on me
ok cause it keeps saying no connection
OOF
ye
That is such a steal considering that the 2700x is still relevant
yeah
does cyber-monday deals started? if not when and how long
I would say on monday and until tuesday
We should be seeing cyber Monday deals starting tomorrow
up here black friday deals are ending on Monday lol
Cyber monday should be interesting
$1000 2080ti

Is there any water cooling deals?
Bykski or Barrow for full custom water cooling. About $230 for a complete loop. CPU, GPU, 360mm rad, reservoir, pump
You guys think the 2080 super will be offered with a free game anytime soon? I'm ready to pick one up, but don't want to miss out on a free AAA if it's gonna happy anytime soon. I noticed the evga 2080 super just got an additional $20 off, so might be a good time to pick one up (includes a $30 rebate to boot)/
Oh, sweet. Even though it's not marked on the card itself? I guess the deal is still going on?
yeah
its kinda dumb
but i bought it from newegg
so idk
and it was the rog strix one
nice. my friend got that one. I'm looking at the evga ftw3.
2080 super ftw3? Nice
yeah, I bought it. $20+$30 off, and it's exactly the card I was looking for.
This 2500$ pc
Contains rtx 2080ti and r9 3900x
32 gigs of ram
And its pretty sick
Thank me later
@split owl nice
no really. 3950x's don't exist lol
@split owl Evo is meh and overpriced. Look at EX920 or Sabrent Rocket
Also pretty sure FOCUS Plus has bad voltage ripple
Permission denied
@split owl Also go with these fans

If you havent built your system already that is
I've used evo and the LL120's in the past, so I'm happy to use them again. I didn't know about the seasonic, but I'll check the power curve when it arrives.
hi
hi @lone depot
question: does any know if this laptop 2in1 have a TPM chip? https://www.newegg.com/onyx-black-lenovo-flex-5-81ca001wus/p/N82E16834845277
@oak hawk there is no specific TPM chip listed in Lenovo's documentation
@oak hawk it does not have the TPM security chip
thank you @strong parrot and @patent cosmos for this info and documentation
anyone good 2060 deals or um 970 evo deals?
any cpu deals i7 or R7 or above
Is this a good card to get?
pbtech.co.nz EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti SC Ultra Gaming 6GB GDDR6 Graphics Card, GPU Upto 1845 MHz, Dual Fan, Dual Slot, DP+ HDMI+ DVI, 1 X 8 Pin, 202.1mm Length, Max 3 Display Metal Backplate
It's a little worse than a 2060. I'd say a 2060 is more worth it
You should probably get an RX 5700 for that kind of money
It outperforms the 2060 in most games
Or pay a little more for 5700xt
doesn't the 5700xt blower style get overheated and gets worse over time
Yeah but there is also other styles for a bit more
16.75% more fps for a extra around 50 to 100 bucks more
we dont allow selling or buying on this server. sorry.
oh im sorry
i thought this channel was for buying and selling
its more for posting deals you find 🙂
oh ok
You're kidding
I have some magic beans to sell you
._.
so basically, eset does nothing?
It's better to avoid cars than to spend lots of money on your bike helmet.
how is this ultrawide? https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-30-inch-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B07TXM7K4T?ref_=ast_sto_dp
I mean it’s kinda wide
idrk if you need 200hz, 144hz is fine, and its a va panel
personally i'd see if you can snag a 1440p 144hz tn/ips panel for under $300, 1080p ultrawide i cant really recommend but dont know much about it
ppl actually play on ultrawide screens hmmmm
i personally prefer ultrawide since im gonna be playing games and id like that "immersive" experience and i want to multitask
and just have a wider area to look at
the problem is that ultrawides are just uncommon and expensive
They're a bit pricy. But stupidly pricy if you look at Asus or something, name brand stuff and paying that good old brand tax. Something like an MSI 1440p ultrawide @ 100Hz is $380 USD
Are there any good cheap ddr ram I need roughly 16gb
XFX RX 570 on Newegg for $99.99 with promo and rebate https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tF648d/xfx-radeon-rx-570-4gb-rs-xxx-video-card-rx-570p427d6
would not suggest that purchase an rx 580 minimum is my recommendation and would suggest an rx 5700xt
not everybody can afford a $400 gpu
^
Also, not everyone needs an advanced gpu. It depends on the games and software you tend to use.
@keen pier no offence but you could buy a used RX 580 for about the same price
l
mg
yikes
maybe they don't want used?
@west badge and a used RX 480 for $90, then just OC the thing
ok why a RX 480?
480s tend to be slightly cheaper than a 580
I have the budget conscious dream build, with almost all used parts, and I can say, used RX480s for $100 is a steal
I believe "slightly worse cooling" would scare people away from that
well I can't really word it right
but it's very slightly under the 580
Higher fan speeds but there's one smaller fan, compared to the 580
*If I remember correctly
Budget an additional $10 for thermal paste to replace the cruddy paste and it's wonderful for 1080p gaming
I would say the most important thing is to check if the bios has been altered
ex-mining cards perform the same as used gaming cards, BUT some miners alter the bios to undervolt and reduce power consumption, and I would stay far far away from those cards if the seller doesn't reflash to the original bios (or if the seller doesn't seem to know what they're talking about)
That's one of my major concerns with mining. They typically modify that stuff and don't remember to undo it prior to selling, and that's always something you just need to remember to do before getting into a game.
That and replacing the thermal paste
my card appears to be ex-mining, but I received it with the box and all accessories, bios is original, and once I replaced the thermal paste, runs like a dream
I've got a MSI gaming x 4g (yeah I know I should've looked for 8gb ones) with a xeon e3-1240 v3
the xeon is basically equivalent to an i7-4770, so top of the line haswell
dear god
my friend has the Xeon E3-1230 and that thing's literally a powerhouse
that being said, ryzen 5 is probably a better investment these days
I'm going to be using a Ryzen 3 2200G, and then in early January going to purchase either a 480 or 590
Not going for 580, unless I can find a really good deal
well...if you can stretch your budget, you could go for a r5 2600 for $110
and 480 is much better value than 590 IMO, but it's about 10-15% slower
The Ryzen 3 2200G was $77, and it's already coming in the mail
ah thats pretty good deal, better than my CPU 🙂
Is it?
well, without SMT, it's gonna struggle with streaming at high settings and video rendering and stuff
Mine would barely run better in gaming, very similarly just watching videos and whatnot, and probably worse under stuff like Blender and C4D because of Xeon being Xeon
but for gaming, higher clockspeeds and the IPC improvement (pair it with high speed ddr4), it'll stomp my cpu
Valid point
so yeah, enjoy your cpu and whatever gpu you get, and definitely enjoy that easy upgrade path
I'm pretty excited
downside with my platform is that I've got nowhere to go :/
Parents don't know I know though, so I gotta wait for Christmas
and are you using DDR3?
like for memory
just curious
ye post it in the build pics
I will when I get around to Christmas. It'll be a good 2 ish weeks after that until I get a dedicated gpu though
Luckily the 2200G is a pretty good apu
https://www.microcenter.com/product/505632/amd-ryzen-7-2700x-37ghz-8-core-am4-boxed-processor-with-wraith-prism-cooler
Ryzen 7 2700X, 160$ off (it's 160$ now)
^ been there for a while. I believe that 1660ti might be the max-q version but can’t confirm.
🤔 do you think it would be good for a college student?
yes
Yea it’ll be solid for medium gaming (if it’s max q. Dell also has some issues with over heating so being conservative might increase longevity). I’d recommend it nonetheless
Can I cleanse some of these
what do you guys think if a referb dell latitude E7440?
Depends
price? specs? who's selling/refurbing?
Refurb by the manufacturer can be legit. It means they went thru and tested everything to make sure it worked before putting it up for sale again. I wouldn’t buy refurbs from third parties though unless you know 100% they’re legit
Hot tip: corsair is discontinuing their 8gbx2 (3000mhz) ram so its bound to go on sale soon
How much do you think it will go off for sale?
Depends. I got 16 gigs 3200 for $50
If it’s less than that I’m most likely get my hands on some
no selling on the server @cloud notch sorry
That actually seems like a good price for a 2080TI
Especially since they typically go for twice that?
I'm kinda skeptical about that now. They should be priced at twice that
RUSSIAN BOTS

They are used though but I'd still expect them to be more
Yeah, i could only find used 2080's for around 400 to 500 euros
I think im not gonna risk it
I mean, if Amazon will protect the purchase because it's through their store, might be worth it
Never bought Amazon 3rd party though
Huh. Seems like it may be worth it then.
I guess I might actually risk it
It's a german amazon so if i wanted to return something will I need to speak german? lol
Oh, where are you at?
Poland

My 500w power supply was more expensive than this
I wish I had seen this sooner
the reviews arent very inspiring
but it does seem as though they have a 3 year warranty
Well you could just buy 3 for the price of a Corsair one
Single rail as well. Wouldnt get a 1000w and have it be single rail. Probably lacks a lot of protections
wouldnt be surprised if ripple was insanely high as per your average super budget PSU
oof. Yep, it's group regulated. Major no no on a 500w PSU, let alone a 1000w one
it has no protection
Rosewill PSUs are not worth it at higher voltages, usually. Especially if they're under like 90 bucks.
The Glacier series is just hot garbage, unlike it's name.
Buy this instead and use it literally forever.
https://www.newegg.com/evga-supernova-750-g3-220-g3-0750-x1-750w/p/N82E16817438093?Description=EVGA 750 G3&cm_re=EVGA_750_G3-_-17-438-093-_-Product
Multi rail PSUs are also very very very expensive.
You just want it from a brand that's reliable.
Only time I'd say you should use a multi-rail PSU is if you have 1000W worth of equipment.
G3 isnt a good recommendation due to high OCP and bad temp tolerance
G2 is even better than G3, and G2 is more of a "pretty decent" rather than high end
also look at Bitfenix for multi rail. They arent really that expensive
man if only there were a thing that rounded up the price to the nearest dollar on every page
Im getting a pc for 2300 euros and I need to know if it’s good
And what it can do anyone help me?
There is a website called pic partpicker that can help you price out the individual parts to see if they are charging you more or less than retail. You can also head over to build chat and post the specs to see if it is a good build.
@finite fjord Is that a problem with all G3 models? I bought a G3 850 for $50 from EVGA and haven't experienced anything bad in the few months I've had it
It replaced my Antec Truepower Quattro that I had for 10 years which still worked.. just didn't want to risk using it any longer after modding my similarly aged motherboard to accept 6 core xeons
Yes, it's all G3 PSUs. It certainly isnt a really bad PSU by any means, but definitely not recommended given the price
i wouldn't really return any half decent 850w 80+ gold psu for $50 tbh
Sounds good for 50$ lol
was wondering if this was a good deal https://annarbor.craigslist.org/ele/d/ann-arbor-gaming-pc-rtx-ryzen/7028792751.html
id say for now its a good deal, but i wouldn't make any decision until you know what the other parts are like mobo psu.
yeah, needs more pics shown
Other things (motherboard, 250GB SSD, powersupply, case) - $200
lol..
i sent them an email asking for some pics of the internals
usually not very specific means not that great
Bitfenix is really hard to find, and I can't see any multi-rail PSUs under 150 bucks.
Plus I've never heard of them outside of prebuilt PCs. Might be a nice brand though, I dunno.
They offer a great warranty.
windows 10 is free at the moment since theyre discontinuing windows 7, so if you still have windows 7 id reccomend getting it.
no
Aww
i heard that the best prices are at Christmas due to companies getting rid of stock. Is that true??

Good deal? $650usd without the 144hz monitor
where are the specs on the page itself
seems like a good deal though, if it's all legit

@viral sinew based on memory that deal isn't great. Should be able to get a PC with a 2600, 16GB RAM, and 1660S more or less for that price
Which is basically same perf as you can't OC that CPU due to mobo
So not a good deal @finite fjord
I'd have to do a pcpp list, which cuz I'm on my phone and about to goto sleep rn I don't feel like doing. But that is semi estimated from a $600 pcpp build I did recently. May be closer to $660 for the build, idk. I am certainly skeptical rn but the deal at best would be "meh". Slight discount for used
if it included the monitor it’s a decent price
but if you tried to buy used you could make a little better build, but that’s a lot more effort

not as bad as #500103010299412491
There haven't been any good deals on 2080/s, 2070/s, or 2060/s. Even the refurbished have been near MSRP. :/
There's a great deal on a 2080 waterblock, the hydrocopper ftw3
@viral sinew So uh, real bad deal there for that system. Same thing but can buy new with what is overall better

WHY CANT YOU BE HAPPY ABOUT MY DEALS
apparently XFX is fixing the cards
I will never buy a XFX product again. Bought a new XFX rx580 to use in cross-fire with another from Best buy. A week goes by and it fries my motherboard and itself.
I had looked at the XT version of what theo linked
and got reamed for it lol
but if they're fixing it that is good, cause I really love that look
especially the sides, reminds me of classic car grills 😄
2080 for $600 with code and mail in rebate.
Someone tag me and tell me if I'm getting a good deal on this
If you cant get custom then the deal is probably meh. If you can do custom, bad deal
could someone send me a good deal pc thats around the same value as that one i put in chat
pre built?
pre built or not it doesnt matter i can always have my brother teach me how to build one
i just want something that can run games like ARK really good
and it needs to have a good amount of fans because my last one overheated because it only had like 2 fans
@tidal bear https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tQmPJb same specs but it'll save you $100
is it a different case im guessing @karmic citrus
yup
Two fans currently, one in the front and one in the back
but the liquid cooling system should prevent overheating of the cpu
the fans come with the case im guesssing??
yes
I'm assuming you were using stock cpu cooler with your last one. If you go with the h60 you should be fine.
temps shouldn't be too extreme inside the chassis unless something is horribly wrong
so theres 1 fan that comes with the case and then the fan thats for the cpu cooler
im not too experienced with computers if you cant tell lmfao
in total if you go with this build, you will have two chassis fans and one fan on the liquid cooling radiator
oh and then you would just put the radiator on top of that fan on the front there
I would mount the radiator on top of the case personally, but you can mount it w/e a fan mount is
bear in mind, you want the warm air from the radiator to be pushed OUT of the case, and the front of the case is by default intake
Optimal mounting is on top IMHO
would the radiator be on the front or back fan
im pretty sure back fan from my knowledge
you can do it either way, in pull position or push position. Personally I would mount the radiator to the case and the fan to the radiator becasue doing it the other way is a PITA to clean
ye because in the other one that was prebuilt that my brother bought a while ago
when looking from the inside you could see the radiator but not the fan
i see what you mean how it would keep it more clean
That's what I prefer doing
It should be good enough, ,but if you're not comfortable with the temps in the chassis it never hurts anything (except your wallet) to add more fans down the road.
Doesn't look like the fans are RGB, but the front panel has RGB
so the inside wont rlly lightup because that would depend where im gonna put it on my desk
to keep the pc more clean would it be better of not having it close to a wall
because on my left side of my desk the wall is to the left
and wall to the back
Shouldn't make a difference. It depends on how dusty your environment is
Now if you're putting the PC on the floor, that will generally cause it to be more dusty than on a desk
do you know the game ARK
I'm somewhat familiar with it, but haven't played it.
Avg fps on epic settings would be around 60
on 1080p
Ark isn't really the most optimized of titles so I would probably turn down the graphics settings if you don't want any drops below 60
I would start with shadows
how much fps would you think this pc would get on a game like need for speed heat?
Checking now, I'm not too familiar with the title
your good
im not too familiar with pc's im starting to getting into them
keep in mind im only like 15 and i could almost build a pc probably im just not familiar with parts
on ultra it looks to be averaging around 75-80 fps
are you using a website to check the fps of it with the stuff or no?
I'm checking benchmarks on both youtube and sites like game-debate
how much would it jump up the price if you were to add led lights inside it?
i gtg im currently in school rn
if we're talking about LED fans, probably about $5 per fan
But I'm not so great with LED accessories.
ill send you a picture of my desk when i get home to see what you would recommend for where to put stuff
where to put pc*
Anyone know any good websites that show current sales/deals on newegg, amazon ..etc?
That shows price history and current offers on each part, but does not summarise the sales for which parts are on sale, which I believe the guy is asking for
@compact totem on pcpartpicker, you can like choose parts, and it tells you which seller for the part is cheapest, and what kind of sale they might have
But its not like made for seeing sales
@tidal bear I'd reccomend this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rBNGJb
i hope they have an older cpu to update the bios with
Most are comming with updated bios nowadays and you can usually ask the manufacturer to do it too
I put that motherboard because I just did a build for a friend and it came with an updated bios
Or if you want to go x570 you can and still be under the other build he was reccomended
This is the space I have to work with if you minus all the extra stuff on the desk and minus the old pc on the far left
@tidal bear I think you were supposed to post that in the build pics room 🤔
there ya go
too bad i recently bought one i would have snatched that up
For this channel being labeled "tech-deals" there are very few actual tech deals here...
^
More like 4 quad multithreaded
Also that's probably gonna double as a space heater
The GPU isn’t specified
Anyone got any GPU deals?
Newegg.com has XFX Radeon RX 570 XXX Edition 4GB GDDR5 Video Card (RX-570P427D6) on sale for $129.99 - $10 w/ promo code VGAPCJP589 - $20 rebate = $99.99. Shipping is free. Thanks buck ...
Wow! 9 dollas off!
20$off with mail in rebate tho
i tinkered with this a little bit do you guys think im getting my moneys worth for this build
BLD - Custom Gaming PCs by NZXT
i dont know if i should add case fans to it
because right now i think its just the cpu cooler i think idk
if i add 2 rgb fans for the case
it goes from
$1648 to $1698
with fans its 1698 so let me know if you think this build is worth it
or if i will even need the fans
For actual builds use the #building-and-recc-chat
great game
@tidal bear I mean that is very overpriced. Also Intel is just overpriced, that case has bad airflow, 120mm AIOs suck so just get an air cooler, PSU is meh (and sucks given the budget), storage is meh (and kinda sucks given the budget),
Ok
Can you guys recommend a good ultra wide 1080p monitor?
i'd recommend against an ultrawide except for office work, unless you're okay with having to play some games windowed at 1600x900. some games just don't like the ultrawide format
@finite fjord tell me which one of these would you recommend for being not pre built
And then for being pre built would you say this is a good deal
And if that prebuilt PC isn't worth it can you find one with about the same parts but pre built because people are telling me that digital storm one isn't worth it and that it's a RIP off
Digitalstorm in general is just a rip off tbh.
Also for the custom built, the PSU there is pretty meh
any prebuilt is a ripoff tbh
some can be found for good price
sure but you can always beat that price doing it yourself, and computers are so easy to put together these days
but tbh im not willing to look cuz it takes a while for the research unless you're lucky
plus most use really iffy parts and cut on cost where they really shouldn't
like the power supply
I generally dont look at prebuilts so I cant really give a brand I can recommend. Some brands dont do too much of a rip off tho, cant remember which ones. If you want a "prebuilt" just look online for used custom builts
I'd say the first pcpp link @tidal bear
Should I snatch this
You know it is for bid right and 4 days left
good chance that would jump to like 600 to 800 dollars
I'd only get that if you can get it for under 500
if it goes any higher than that I can help you build something better
yo guys
any wanna tell me if this is worth or not?
absolutely not that's way overpriced
Holy hell no
(Visi its prob CAD$)
I know
But still overpriced
I'm aware
honstly
i have no clue of how much the r9 costs
Gpu prob a bit higher but still
here hold on a second
4.5k$ cad is enough for 3900x 2080ti
Reason: Bad word usage
@candid pasture okay I was off on the prices
but still https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/pkk9CL
and this is the canadian pc part picker
so
local prices for you
and this is better than that pc
more ram, probably better storage
better psu
you could get very similar gaming performance for much less money, though
if you want me to put together an optimized list for you
I mean
I legitimately wouldn't pay over 2400 for that
like I said I went above that build in that list
are you totally opposed to building one yourself? It's really not that hard anymore, if you can put together ikea furniture you can put together a computer
oh i currently have one
honestly ikea furniture is harder lol
looking to resell
ic
make some moeny
I used to do that for a living
damn
it's tricky work though, not a lot of buyers
Like I said I really wouldn't pay more than 2400 or 2500
but then I'm looking at the build cost
So... 2800 maybe giving him a bit of money for putting it together?
I don't like to buy prebuilt computers because of that
so idk
I like buying prebuilts from desperate people :3
i can smell the disappointment in his eyes
Reason: Bad word usage
