Starting to think JD will never get Techie role. Anyone who has a brain and checks the benchmarks will be able to determine 11gb and more cuda cores for 200$ less is a good deal. 2080s are running about 800 new. I bought a brand new card for a heavy discount (some still msrp at 1000+). The real situation here that I'm noticing is that YOU dont want to feel bad about YOUR 2080 purchase when your 1080ti out performed it. Maybe not by much. But bench both and 1080ti will win. Now quit going on about your 2080 hype train. It's not that great. By the time gddr6 RLSS and Turing cores are actually utilized something much nicer will be available. I simply purchase last gen with the understanding that it will douse even most modern cards until something truly nice comes out. When I am ready to upgrade mobo to gddr6 support and whatnot. Anyway. I was basically saying. The 1080Ti reviews and production stability is better. I've heard lots of doa and shut downs from the Rtx line so far. And I'll probably upgrade again in 6 months. I'm very progressive. So to not worry about build quality and rmas for 6 months over spending more and possibly getting an rma. 1080ti was my choice. I dont wanna fight on it. I'm just saying. That was my thinkin.
