It's not super useful for llms (still faster than just cpu) but it's great for accelerating things like object detection like with a frigate NVR's object and human detection
Before it was integrated into cpus, the preferred setup was using Google coral to process the inference. (Nowadays it's been depreciated for the most part)
That being said, cpu only setups are still not really recommended by frigate outside of testing/development environments
Plus this is only if you're planning on making your own NVR

I'd probably go with 1080p 24" but if you're predominantly playing light games then 1440p 27" isn't a whole lot more expensive. There should be some ~180hz ips options for around $100 and more like $150 for 1440p.

i think i know why the fps are nearly identical between the 8gb and the 16gb model. he only has the game settings on all the games set at medium.

while good and true hdr needs pretty high brightness, a monitor with lower brightness than 1000 nits doesn't become trash
there are a ton of oled panels that don't even reach 1k nits, and yet people still praise them anyway
oled is good regardless of brightness due to its ability to reach true black, instead of gray on backlit panels
high brightness only matters for true hdr or outdoor uses
if you ask me to choose between a 1000 nits mini led and a 500 nits oled panel, i'd choose oled any day over backlit solutions
