i used to record at like 16000kb on my 6800 because i had infinite storage and needed basically native quality so it didn't matter how stupid the bitrate was. just selected an arbitrary high value basically. you can run very very high bitrates and be fine. the newer encoders are way better than RDNA 2 as well

Socket is the part of the motherboard the cpu fits into. Yours would only work with 6th or 7th gen intel cpus. The 7700k was barely any better than a 6700k so there isn't really anything to upgrade too without changing the motherboard too.
