In gaming, a 5800X3D trades blows with 12900K.
So if you're going from 8th gen Intel to AM5 X3D, it's going to be ridiculous.
And yeah I guess you could go Intel if you're more productivity focused than gaming. Both are a huge increase for you.

i think that's for purposes of normalized testing and what most people use. i think it would be useful to have a normalized test, and then also a max possible test where everything is manually tuned. but most techtubers are not well versed in that, so i expect it would just be another place where mr information's marriage is in question
