I discovered this with my TV remote. It's a Bluetooth remote that should only be connected when the TV is on. So when you have the TV off, you can only point the remote at the TV to turn it on (like a conventional remote. Nothing wrong with that)

Yeah 12 to 16 is a big jump in performance of everything but compare a 15 pro max to a 16 pro max and that gap just isnt big enough to worth the greater price. Cameras are virtually identical, battery life and chip are a tiny bit better but nothing really huge or worth mentioning

The two big advertising points on the 16 pro max were a camera button and apple's AI stuff which didn't even come out until a few months after launch
