i fixed my moonlight latency, had to configure if i use moonlight through the hyperv switch it adds a little latency so to get around it I use a usbc nic and boom, it feels like zero latency.

a lot of those files are transferrable yes. Though if you move around I lot I might recommend a 3rd party client like MultiMC and Prism Launcher as they offer portable versions and can save multiple mc instances

That also means more services have to be running at once, as I doubt you're going to be booting up the MC server when you boot up MC itself, then shutdown MC server when not in use. Now scale that to all game servers you'll do, could be rather RAM intensive. Esp if you have multiple concurrent playthroughs of a game (say, two+ MC servers)

Point being it's sounds like more work to setup and also manage a server than a non-server, esp when doing so for any game reasonably possible. When you need to update mods or versions, this is also managing multiple points. One of which doesnt have as nice auto downloading/updating (the server, cuz no third party launcher doing all the work for you)

There's this anti-ESD they put on electronics, I think starting relatively recently (like maybe 2015?), that prevents ESD from killing your components
If you're really worried, you can plug in your PSU and flip the power switch on and touch it every once in a while while build (plugging it in makes it grounded)
