I got mine for hosting AI locally. As I've just learned yesterday, I believe just 12GB on an Nvidia GPU is much better than a 24GB on a Mac Mini M4. (I actually tested using my 16GB MBA with an M3, but even using DeepSeek Distill Qwen 14b was better on my 4070 Super than my Mac Mini M4 with 24GB. Kinda crazy lol)
