oh man LMFAO
Ubisoft making a bad game? Oh the shocker.
dont forget to preorder the $130 version of the game
just give them 5 years and it will be decent
I mean honestly, in a few years when it goes on 75% or more sale it might be worth playing
I 3D printed a wireless mouse lol
baller
neet
hmm what this mean?
wavy gamer
Kinda wanna change the top plate lol
ngl
sometimes it impresses me that one compound that can dissolve metals that ususally are unreactive and not melt glass
while some others can melt glass but not plastic

Smh thought he could post a selfie and thought we wouldn't notice

You wouldn't download a mouse would you????
Already did it
Accidentally bought a super sketchy product at a local Walmart today... instructions on it arent even for the same product inside. Thankfully the customer service is good at this place so Ill just return it.
I miss the days when you could buy simple things and not worry about them being designed so poorly that nobody can figure out how to use them. In this case, bicycle lights... that have no visible way to open them to attach to the bike... and no instruction manual, plus mismatched label on the box
4 years in the making, i might actually complete entirely my pc build, (besides for like future cpu upgrades) by tommorow
It took you four years to build a PC? I built mine in two hours
it took me 4 years to get it to this point
Don't be shy. Show us the build
where i will finally populate all the fan spots
i will show the finished product tommorow
You upgrade one thing and it starts you wanting a whole new pc 💀
when i get the fans
well if anyone wants to know evga uses Ziitek thermal pads for their gpu
High quality China Manufacturer High Thermal Conductivity 12W Gray Silicone Thermal Pad from China, China's leading Silicone Thermal Pad product market, With strict quality control Silicone Thermal Pad factories, Producing high quality China Manufacturer High Thermal Conductivity 12W Gray Silicone Thermal Pad products.
imagine
i ordered them all, in the same order
Some warehouses closer to you may have run out of the amount they have in store of that product
So needing to send another order request to a different warehouse
get rid of mcafee and double performance
if not triple
I made XP look like Mac OS X once
hatsune miku can never die
speaking of, a glass mousepad company has a collab with hatsune miku and its only for japan. i cant buy unless i know someone in japan 😔
Japan had all the best 2/3DS themes too
foirtunately you can get access to those... via means that will make Nintendo hate you though
wonder if foxy is able to buy stuff from japan
Foreigners can too with certain proxy services
I havent done that myself though
but I do know some people buy fumos this way
idk any services other. i knew of like 3 like 4 years ago but dont know any now
but idk if services would be able to buy stuff from specific websites
Glass mousepad would go hard with a aqua mouse
Gotta get the Intel one for that ong fr fr
(I have no clue if I said that last part correctly)
sus
I thought that was a mogus for a second 💀
I liked all the little themes you could apply onto WinXP
probably not the same thing you're referring to, but i just liked getting themes that i could change in settings
change the taskbar color and all that
yeah no the stuff I did was full out reskinning the OS
dont try that with newer Windows... they tend to hate it
Nah, its the Intel astronaut
@sweet phoenix that xtx sold out in literally minutes
Intelstronaut
How am i supposed to install the 24h2 update again?
Good night guys
Ok so i need to join some stupid insider program apparently
F it just gonna wait till October ig
Sadge
I think it was like 6 minutes after
Whoa that’s cool
just get good, and build your own
its not too hard, the only realisticly difficult part is the wiring of the case
Someone helped me through discord
really? lol
Wiring for me is confusing when it came to the mobo
like lets see
motherboard unpacked, put onto safeish surface, instal cpu, instal ram, get case, get motherboard screws, line up motherboard holes with the funny little standoffs on the case, screw in screws, put in gpu, (removing the pcie covers first) put on cooler, congrats you have like 2 things left, install PSU wire up PSU, and wire up case
theres also fans and storage but thats beyond simple
Wiring is probably one of the easier things to do in a pc build imo
installing stock cooler as a newbie is much worse
imo the wiring of the case buttons and stuff is just really tedious and annoying to have to figure out what goes to what
Just get a good prebuilt wouldn't trust best buy with anything
specifically AMD's one
You’re talking to someone who just wants to game. I’m not as interested in how computers can run, I’m more into what it can run
i thought amd's cooler mount was pretty intuitive
knowing how your computer runs is a very important skill to know when your computer decides to no worky for some odd reason
Prebuilts are a no no. I’ve already picked out parts
spring loaded screws making terrifying noises as you screw it down LMAO
CLANG CRACK CRACKLE
build fee is ususally anywhere from $100-400 though depending on the builder and if they add any after sale support
"are these noises supposed to happen??"
Even so, I’m more about what software is making my computer act the way it is
thats easy to figure out though, if the thing you are actively screwing in isnt having huge resistance, and is just making noise, you good, if you are having trouble screwing it in, and its making noise S T O P
100 is doable
its a good old rule of dont force it
scariest part of a pc build is probably the cpu arm on an intel socket
forcing things usually leads to breaking things, unless you are in the trades where usually bashing things and forcing things is the only way to get things done
I remember when my corsair psu was doing coil whining. Had to hope I knew where the sound came from since I didn’t have a second psu
2016 Corsair CXM 🗿
well, normally you could hear where the coil whine is coming from
ususally it's either the psu or gpu
i just watched like so many pc build stuff, i never needed a guide when i built my first pc, i just knew
mainly just the psu though in my experience
For $400 it better have the cable management of the gods
seating in a Am4 cpu is a experience i love every time tho
I can do this
custom loop build fees do get pricy
Oh custom loop water cooler
Got a smaller psu. Thought it would be bigger. But it runs the games I have without breaking
For $400 I can build a budget non-room-heating computer and build the both the gaming PC and budget PC myself
they require more maintenance
Air cooler supremacy>>>>>>>>>
for 400$ ill give you a let me google that for you link
Aio’s last 5 ish to 7 air cooling I think is way longer
they are more reliable as long as you do your yearly maintenance
poor
I mean, there are tech shops not too far from me and I want to get it back the same day
It’s for people who aren’t lazy I gotchu
yeah
I’m not one of those
Prebuilts are a fantastic option nowadays
I can help you through discord
you gotta be dedicated to the aesthetic
Fr my Newegg one is sick
hell, you also need to dust your pc regularly 💀
Granted it came with 1 intake
air coolers still have liquid inside of them so they're basically still liquid coolers anyways >>>>>>
Now it’s 3
or else it would just look dusty lmao
laughs in intel stock cooler
(i dont have this)
@mental yoke could always just opt for a prebuilt
@mental yoke what do you plan to do for uh, potential issues that might arrise in the future. you fine with just taking it back to a shop every time it needs to be fixed?
Have neutral air pressure to do that less often
Lenovo legion towers are often on sale
I’ll add. Going to start buying parts in October. Doing overkill just for one game called Slitterhead
Is there a con of slight positive air pressure
Ah by October the entire market will be different
I know negative brings dust
New gpus and stuff
tbh they still get visible dust in within like a month
Fiancés 3600 is rocking stock
For the non build part, I can ask around
It’s vibin
at least dusting takes like 10 minutes or whatever
if you use a datavac or equalavant
however you spell that word
So far it’s been fine for me around 3 weeks but I keep it elevated and all that
Equivalent
I open it nearly everyday by the way it has one of those door hinges
I’m satisfied with the zotac 4080 or the 7900xt/xtx I plan to get
Learning
huh.
Upgraded fans, storage
honest to god though, just watch like 3 pc building guides, back to back you will be able to build your own from memory after that, and be able to probably accurately diagnose potential issues and save you dozens of hours of trying to figure stuff out after you get someone else to build it for you and it has issues down the line
It’s my first
daily fan swap fr
Yeah, for sure still a great option. Just saying by then, all prices will likely be different
but thats up to you
Spring loaded screws are also terrible because if you are new to it you won't be applying enough pressure to get the screws down on some models and you'll just be turning them and nothing'll happen
I want to eventually upgrade the cpu once we get the new X3D from ryzen
@velvet summit would it make you depressed to know my 1080 build I used to have needed its side panel off to cool it
💀
Glass panel vibin on the floor
If it’s noticeably better
While my pc is on my desk
Man active today
i mean, opening and closing it everyday is quite different from having it open to keep it cool
lmao
Very
The first time I built my pc or at least attempted, I was hoping the pc builder simulator could help me but still couldn’t figure it out
i had to keep my side panel open for a few days while i waited for a slim fan to arrive to cool my gpu
Always ask for many opinions
And then if you don't have a long screwdriver you'll be trying not to cut yourself on the tower when twisting
Tempered glass catches finger prints like a nun in a bar catching sids I will say
because it wasnt getting enough fresh air
Micro fiber my beloved
My gpu+cpu fans were 100% not spinning at strength
And then there is the moment where you get one screw engaged but you don't hold it properly so it slides on the thermal paste
Linus has a guide that's chaptered to answer like, every question you'd want to ask about a normal build
It's pinned in #building-and-recc-chat
^^^^^
pretty sure I also had one of the fans backwards
💀
Sounds like h510
glub glub
The blue is what makes it super
Mesh or not
Mega minds spinal fluid?????
I’ll check it out in October or early November
All round
Welp yeah that makes sense
should you be concerned if you had blue piss or is it a superpower
Glass sucks is why
i starved my gpu of air by exhausting all the air out the bottom of the case
Super villain^
Can I post a build I did somewhere?
Build pic channel
It is like the power of corrosive spit, but further south
Sure, when you have rank
are smurfs supervillans
Keep talking for rank
Anti hero’s
Can’t post links?
They messed with the bald guy a lot ngl
lmao
goober
Can
I’ll post in a bit
Have to go pc part picker for the link
build it
The dude really likes that diving position lol, still did it in gow 2018
lmao
bop it to start
Secret ending
I'm going to sleep
Pull it
DUNK IT
kick it
Throw it
who has good Oled 1440p high refreshrate monitor suggestions
slam it
@mortal grail i know you are good at finding good budget stuff
well not really budget, just reasonably priced stuff
Yeah I'm gonna resell it tho
Ktc oled 240hz on amazon
ah nice
Almost always the best cheapest
who in the heck is KTC
lmfao
so i have sorta a rare opportunity to potentially acquire 2 dell optiplex 3460's with intel i5 14500 vpros in them, which leaves me in a spot of dont those crash more often cause of the microcode issue? should i get it or nah
also its not thats its 100% going to be i5 14500's thats just my best guess so far
Has anyone here played dishonored?
100%’d it 3 times what’s up
So i really enjoy stealth takedowns in cyberpunk and was looking for a similar game
It’s much much more in depth
Should i try dishonored 1 first then 2?
Like you’ll need to plan routes if you want to do 100% stealth
Yes.
Also looks like the first one has a bunch of dlcs
If you want to get the hang of the game first, don’t do a 100% stealth run.
The games actual story depends on your choices. So each run can be different
Wth
That sounds awesome
My first 100% stealth, non-murder run, took me I think 37 hours
What are the bosses like?
That’s the fun part, they’re not existent
Nah like i wanna play something with stealth takedowns yk
Ah so the mc is like a hitman of sorts
Does any body know if this website is a scam
newegg?
No it’s yuhtgfr.shop
Yes and no
Probably
yeah don't use
If it’s anything .shop, it’s likely just not worth the gamble
Alr spent a 100

Have you played ghost of Tsushima as well?
Nada.
Man was really looking forward to it on going on sale last summer, didn’t…
But dishonored is one of my favourite games of all time
Wondering if its worth full price
And I have very hard tastes to please
website scamoblamo
But i wanna save for gow ragnarok too
Can deez nuts onyo chin please your tastes?
Spelling error
Immediately invalid
Actually nuts
2004 Hyundai Sonata moment
someone should dm newegg staff that website
searching newegg on google takes you there
Also what are the graphics like? Ik its a really old game wondering if it had any updates?
The art style is one of its biggest strengths
Roomba what do you think of the hitman series?
i keep saying "oh imma go play it" but never do
I found it kinda repetitive
isnt there a fourth mass effect game by the way
we do not talk about andromeda
it’s not actually not that bad, but it’s just kinda not the greatest entry
Anyone been playing black myth wukong?
48 hours in 3 days
I dabbled a tiny bit
Just a smidge
The combat was rather good, the exploring was a bit too meh and they just had to do generic evil mega villain race seeking to convert everything into themselves because it is a Mass Effect game
I wanted it to be Star Trek but Mass Effect
Exploring strange new worlds and dealing with interspecies conflicts and tension diplomatically
It felt like me3 combat, with me1 exploring, with me1 plot
real
The scriptures, sound
I wanted to be an explorer who got called in to deal with the Krogan and Salarians arguing over colonization rights that had a combat b plot going throughout the talks
Man dlss must be a godsend
Kind of regret joining team red rn
Dishonored would like to have a word
I’m watching Star Trek for the first time
Fiancé and I have started with voyager
What I wouldn’t do for a game like that
Been watching some gameplay vids
heh
The players in those vids are obv very skilled
black myth wukong is the current crysis benchmark for gpus
@opaque sedge go play it
UE5 moment
Whats crysis?
I’m gonna try benchmarking it again
Or better yet, the Turians trying to restrict the Krogans from colonization with the Salarians acting all STG and trying to crash the negotiations
a popular franchise famously known for being too difficult to run on pcs back then
I just wanted it to be good
Name checks out
But it’s just… not it
they are working on a new crysis game as we speak
A team handles the negotiations, b team goes to investigate the STG and combat ensues
Hoping the new one in production is gonna be able to hold up to the trilogy
BioWare needs to crank out some bangers
It doesn’t even look that insane 😭
I said the same thing about Bethesda
Idk maybe i just have a crap pc…
Or crappy eyes?
Back with Fallout 4
lmfao
skyrim and fallout 4 is all you need in life
It is ngl
16 TIMES THE DETAIL
BIG GAEM
I had more fun modding and playing Fallout NV and dealing with that glitchiness a couple months ago than the 1-2 years I spent modding and playing Fallout 4
UE5 unoptimized bs
also aint this game using like lumen/nanite?
Raster more like 🅱️ aster
those are hard hitting features
That doesn't even run well on fortnite
and plus AMD ain't good with RT stuff anyway
fr
its always on
lumen is literally UE raytracing
FORTNITE OF ALL GAMES cant even run it well lmao
i swear if it was off, you won't be seeing 53fps
yh and apparently rt is becoming popular among devs to use for shadowing now
gotta keep that off (DX11 all the way)
Literally the most visually boring fps for 90% of the game
yea because THEY'RE LAZY
Until final circle
Frr
Reject RT return to anything else
i get that wukong started with a small team, but like have they ever considered performance?
I've never had Fortnite run better than on dx11
god bless gow 2018
Naur
I'll take 8 bit over RT
look at this
damn what atime to be alive pc gets a game before consoles
rawr
the game launched for both ps5 and pc
they had the xbox build but somehow its broken
if bmw uses ue5 what does cyberpunk use?
warhammer is coming very soon
red engine
is it cdpr exclusive?
Think so
like their own custom one?
Yes
kind of like the one gow uses?
Halo infinite one
(cant believe i understood custom game engines after playing gow despite playing cyberpunk first)
lol
Also, CDPR is getting rid of it for UE5
👁️👄👁️
Why
Wth
It sounds like games are becoming more crappy instead of better every passing day now
Who tf made ue5
I think they said that they can do more in UE5 than they can with theirs or something
this is because since everyone may have knowledge for UE5, that means easier integration and faster dev process
We need a johnny silverhand to destroy their hq
Epic
Ofc its them
The damn fortnite devils
Made too much money from skins that kids bought from stealing credit cards from their overworked parents
They were the ones who made it originally back in the 90s
That and Gears of War used to be their biggest thing
Is there any other game engine that is promising other than ue5?
A sliver hope perhaps?
FelixEngine 2

Roombengine
There is no hope
(It's actually the first one but Nvidia sent a cease and desist for FE)
(They called me amd biased for some reason)
i feel like crytek's cryengine is more optimized than UE
Are gpus gonna be made with ue5 optimization now?
im surprised not that many big devs use cryengine
Unity and UE are the biggest ones and certain companies have their own proprietary engines
Unity fell off
I hope there’s a completely new engine for fallout 5 and TES 6
Wait isn’t vulkan like dx12 or dx11?
Now that is intense hopium
It's dx12
Do they count as engines too?
Thought they were apis or smth
Yeah, but having the buggy garbage that is skyrims and f4
A library, to be most accurate
Wouldn’t be smart
Skyrim is great
I won’t deny that
Yes it's buggy tho, agree
Starfield is running a newer version of their engine
The engine is just garbage
And it is still garbage
Starfield is a complete waste
100%.
I have no sympathy for that game
I would love more vulkan games
Reason why is they're often very easy to run
ok ig its time to see how bad fsr frame gen looks
Can't wait to speedrun the game in 5 minutes by scaling a mountain
Bethesda previously confirmed that it began investing more into engine work ahead of the start of the new console generation, and Starfield will be the first game to put the new engine to work. However, the engine's feature set will be modified to meet the unique needs of Starfield, The Elder Scrolls 6, and by extension any future Bethesda games using Creation Engine 2
this bechmark is hurting me more than verbal abuse from my parents
Literally
Hodd Toward said TESVI will be on CE2
What's really sad about this, is I have no hope for 6
They could literally use skyrim graphics again and just make a whole new content platform to the same degree
And I would give it 100 marks
And I know that won't happen
Thus no hope
I was going to nope out after seeing what 76 launched as, I just bought an AMD gpu when they were doing the Starfield promotion so I had the unfortunate experience that was prelaunch and launch day Starfield
I like how the engine for the game that no one likes is gonna be the standard
I just want Bethesda to fire all of their writers and hire people who actually can write interesting stories and characters that aren't brainwashed by the Bethesda standard. And get rid of Todd
doesnt look half bad with frame gen tbh, did notice some idk sandiness and distant greenery like grass and reflections looked horrid
No idea how it would play out in actual game play with fights tho
Meh f it just gonna die several times in elden ring for now
i like games where you have the function to switch any apis
eg. DX12/Vulkan/DX11
Can do that with the witcher 3 right?
And bg3 allows vulkan or dx12?
im not sure, haven't played that one
Yes
AMD still haven't posted game ready drivers for wukong yet
I think they have seperate exe files
he's got a wife, give him a break
Would you rather have unlimited bacon but no more games
Or games, unlimited games; but no more games
that's
Yes
my brain is gonna explode with such choices
Unlimited
I seem to be having issues logging in, was able to get in first time but then the game pushed me out saying it lost connection
Are their servers down rn?
Bacon however you want it
Unlimitedly
Mmm. And is the no more games clause being no more games being released, no more games I can purchase or no more games I can play
No more games
After seeing all the technical problems caused by the CE in Starfield i have no idea why they would reuse it again
everyone is telling them to get rid of this terrible engine
and yet they wont switch to unreal
or something
Why would they want to learn a new engine, they've been basically using the same one for what, nearly 2 decades? Who cares about consumers
Wtf everytime i close the game it make my screen black out in the homescreen a second after
Wait a sec now i remember the first week my pc starting acting up
I was playing elden ring back then
Are you in exclusive full screen
Does the game have issues or smth?
I think so
Then that's the cause
When they can just make an easy profit that reuses their formula, graphics and engine and not do any hard work and still get the sales
Use borderless windowed if you don't want that weirdness
Got it
Exclusive full screen sounds exactly like that it is
Only the game is being rendered
Not like Microsoft wants them taking risks that'll potentially end up being a flop
So leaving the game needs to render the UI elements of windows
So it takes a sec to load
If it was all Vulkan I'd be fairly happy tbh
Higher time sink into that engine, so often games that run it tend to be relatively problem free
interesting
I mean think of a few examples
Two that come to my mind are doom and cs?
Oh interesting
I'm stupid
Vulkan is an api not an engine
LOL
had a brainfart huh?
Detroit become human
Like cs go lol
😳
Doom + eternal
F1
Dota
Farming simulator
Half life
Hitman
Left for dead 2
Minecraft(!?)
First bad one, no man sky
Which got better
RDR2
nice
You don't need to list them, Vulkan keeps a list
R6S
War thunder
Ooo ok a bad one
Valheim
That was a buggy one
TF2
Most of these have one thing in common though which is hilariously high fps
I mean
Technically that's still in beta
Ark was made in Vulcan 💀
Freaking Civ
When was the last time you heard civ having problems
Diablo
Fortnite
Oh HSR
No wonder that runs well
LoL
Pcsx2 ☠️
Oh damn all the emulators are here for PlayStation
ESO was meh
Yuzu
Rip
Can't really think of anything apart from valheim that was specifically stability related
F1 has a physics issue but that was dev induced
Half life had radeon fps stability problems but that was fixed and was affecting most vr
Lol
DX11 (LEFT) | VULKAN (RIGHT)
slight performance loss using DXVK (vulkan wrapper)
DX12 shows better performance
Not native?
DX12 is native
Le sadge
DX11 is another option (-dx11)
Well yeah adding a translation layer won't necessarily do much
maybe for old games it will
Actually
Look closer at the graphs
Do you see it
The dips are gone
12 and vulkan look better than 11 there
DX11 be wildin
i had to rerun the test for vulkan because it was stuttering
maybe shader compilation
(Can count on my hands how many times this was true
Ah then it's not showing on the graph
Le sedge
Mayhaps compiling ye
aight imma go sleep now cya!
Minecraft Gulag
RGBean
what cpu cooler would u guys get for a 7700
RGB gaming beans
sup

overkill is good with cooling
True
same for psu
And the only replaceable is a fan
Eh PSU is a little more debatable if it costs a lot more or if it becomes a worse unit
overkill cooling is only "bad" if you're trying to squeeze every penny out of the system like OEMs do
At least a tower cooler lasts forever
PSUs are more complex and finding a quality one at a good price is harder... but getting more wattage than you need is a good idea. Don't pull a Dell and put a 200W PSU in a modern system lol
Dell Optiplex have some of the worst PSUs I've seen for wattage
180w PSU kekw
Often great wall iirc
Mass produced
Perfect for the millions of optiplexes with no gpu and nothing else
But, it is enough for the cpu
Meets the minimum and means Dell saves millions
Just ask for a small loan of a few million
I do however don't mind defending someone who insists on a better psu tho
There's nothing wrong with an effort for better redundancy, provided it's a good choice
$2000+ Dell with 200W PSU exists too
If you said to me ax1600i for a 4070 system then I'd have way too many questions tho
Yeah, my prelude was that it had to be a good choice haha
yeah fr
Not just a 2000w PSU for a 3600 and 2070-
A good cooler I think is ok too for a little more
Fair
$17 more for a PA, they can use it later
Ye
good cooler means more turbo too
I don't worry about turbo
I consider it more like futureproofing
As much as I don't like using that word
reliability also comes in with having a solid cooler
I do the same approach with PSUs, if I see $5 or $10 gets 100 more watts, I take it
For air coolers it does apply tho
This is fair
The occasional motherboard sale as well
If they can gain a whole lot of io, or maybe m.2 slots for a few bucks, sure
Even nvidia
I'm happy to suggest an nvidia card if it's within $50 more of the competition in raster
yeah spending $1000 on a consumer board is not worth it at all
Or specifically relevant to the use case
If you use it for what it can really do it's fine, thing is the ones that make sense for that statement are almost always ones that deserve an LN2 pot
So yeah, pretty much all the time for normal people
exactly
Now, what pushes me back from that, is often budget
If $20 puts me way over, I don't take it
Objective best becomes situational
Lemme spend 5000 on an Asus pro art mobo
On the other hand, if cutting that extra out means I get a big perf bump, I also don't take it
This is the biggest reason why I rarely make a serious suggestion for an nvidia card
Cos quite often, AMD has a card close enough and cheaper, or more expensive by not much and way better
And the dynamic shifts
I only recommended Nvidia while Radeon drivers were buggy as hell
Yeah nowadays the line is a lot more blurred
I gotta re-look into AMD's software offerings too
Go back even 2 years and we were often recommending Nvidia cards
Noise cancellation, virtual background stuff etc
EVGA b stock was too good
I can only assume they've progressed a lot since I last looked
AMD has closed the gap on a lot of it
yo
However certain elements of the nvidia suite are still outstanding
Cuda is a huge one
ngl I kinda want a 4090 just for the insane vram and compute
They're fun but, the XTX is more fun imo
Half price 4090 you get pretty damn close for the value
It's not actually this, but very, very close on raster
no cuda though
Ye no cuda
Depends what you'd look to do
For workstation, dual 3090 is also compelling if you have the support
LOL
Hockey puck
He's just happy to be there
I love Miatas
straight to the point sports car that is relatively affordable
yeah literally rebadged Eclipse
kinda like Dodge Stealth and 3000 GT
at least in the us xd
the faded paint
How it feels to chew eclipse 91
Well, yeah thats what happens after about 20 years of constantly driving on dirtroads lol
true
sh
Or upsetting the boss
shifting the right way
lmao
Miata
My insurance rates just dropped again.
yummy
even if they did, Discord probably would not
Meh they let hackers scrape the whole network
What's one more with a buncha dummies and a 4090
I want a sassy bot
That would be a toxic AI 💀💀💀
crispy critters AI
Are talking within just this Discord server or all the messages I’ve ever sent on every other messaging platform?
Man I'm not tryna make you a criminal
Just the newegg ones
☠️
Yeah I guess that’s fine lol
“Guys the AI found the group chat”
Yeah pretty much lmao
holy carp
it's almost out
i started playing this back in like 2019
Cyberpower is so odd man
My reaction:

How do i install kali nethunter on redmi 6 pro?
Literally
this
Heck yeah, its arriving today :D
Hate to be that guy but I know barely anything about pc's. I got like a $1200 budget I'd like to stay in for just the tower alone. What's the most stankiest labor day sale to get the most bang for my buck?
I would mostly be playing warzone and minecraft lol
Do you want to build? Or do you want a prebuilt?
I'd prefer a prebuild that later on down the line once I get an understanding of what's going on I could upgrade
it only takes like 30 minutes to learn how to build a pc tbh
My luck I'd mess something up or something would come in damaged lol
hard part really is selecting parts that are of good value but people in this server can do it for you
You never want to cut corners on your PC’s power supply. So check out what Seasonic has to offer at: https://geni.us/vrtx
We’ve done plenty of build guides before – But now we’re taking it to the next level. Not only will you know how to build a PC, you’ll know how to build ANY PC – This is the LAST guide you’ll ever need, now updated for 2024!...
Building a PC is like putting Lego pieces together. It’s that simple.
There’s people here like me that also offer building services, although I don’t think I’m allowed to say that
@digital thunder when new admins
Do I need to solder anything?
You'll need to upgrade ram and add storage
Which is very easy
The storage is just the ssd right? And upgrade ram to 32gb?
Building yourself

Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, BitFenix FLOW ATX Mid Tower
Yeah
I'd upgrade the ram and storage to these

Would it be able to play at 1440/4k?
Yes
Easily
Wrll
Not 4k
4k, you'd need a better gpu
$806 for the gpu
4k is very overrated and very demanding on the gpu
I would stick to 1440p atm
Damn a 4070 can't run 4k?
@wicked oriole
I mean, you can run 4k on any current gen gpu
Fair, I'm only asking because my ps/Xbox runs on 4k but idk how true that is
Not very
^
It’s not actually properly running 4K at all
30 fps is walking it lmao
^
You could certainly run any game that currently exists on the 4070 super at 4k 60fps+
Damn I thought I was getting atleast 60/120 on my TV I specifically got for the thing lmao but that was also like 3 years ago now
But you would be turning down settings in more demanding titles
On the other hand, it could handle any game at high/ultra settings 100+ fps at 1440p
What
4k with an underpowered gpu is like using a Lamborghini on a golf course
That’s what I was trying to say
That's kind of why I'm going pc route now and I kind of need a computer in my life in general lmao but I wouldn't use it for much computer stuff I can do my day to day stuff on my phone
Also 7900 gre would be a better choice if you're targeting 4k
Also I guess I should ask what games you're playing
7900 gre has 4gb more vram, while it performs a few % worse than the 4070 super
So what would be a recommended gpu? The pre builds for the specs in my price range have i5 with like 4060?
The extra vram will be very needed at 4k
@wicked oriole id go with this, and if the need arises, you can upgrade in the future
For 4k I would recommend at least a 7900xt, but it honestly depends on you
If you're not playing fast paced first person shooters, and you're fine with lower fps/settings, 7900 gre/4070 super is fine
@sweet phoenix
Warzone is pretty demanding
No tf it would not handle 110 fps at 4k
all low settings
Appreciate that lol newegg must be reaching
Found this too, does newegg just have a high ass msrp then it's "marked down" to think you're getting a good deal, the old retail trick?
Correct
If you're looking for 4K these are not the type of pc's to do it
Also 4K isn't worth it unless you have a massive screen
Like over 32"
I wanted to get a 32" curved screen
32" is fine for 1440p
And you can kinda do 1440p on 1K
1.2K ideally
7700xt/6800 is about the minimum for that
I was looking at an LG 34 curved 3440 x 1440
That's a pretty difficult reso to run
Hhmm
Walmart seems to be doing sus things with incentivized reviews. I only ever see like 5 star ones...
Otherwise you'll end up with one side good and not the other (pc vs screen)
Only reason I'd like the 4k is because then I feel like I'd for starters have it as an option for later on once I learn more and second it should be able to do 1440 very well
400 on a monitor I'd be okay with, the pc part is the part I'm having trouble figuring out lol
Ideal balance for you would probably be a 27in 2560x1440 panel without a larger budget for the PC
Just go 27" 1440p
I'm assuming a larger budget instead of 1200 would be 2k+?
1500+ and I'd feel more comfortable saying ultrawide 1440p or into 4k144
It's doable for 1500 if you build yourself, not sure how prebuilts are around that price
What I'd do
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GVmmYN
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6800, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
If I cut the monitor out it's barely 1000
And that's the best you could do for perf which is about mid-range 1440p
I could really strip it down
Get a 6800xt
That would run really light games in 4k or old games
Nothing new tho
I'd be more on minecraft for 4k tbh. Cod I'm fine with 1440
+$200 would get you GRE and the basics for 4k in general
Yeah GRE-ish tier would do some things in 4k
4090
If you wanted all the time 4K

Lol I could do a new graphics card later, I know buddies that will want to upgrade at some point cause future lol
Minecraft will probably do 32K on a toaster so it's not really a metric
Unfortunately running a lower resolution on a higher resolution panel tends to look pretty bad or take extra computational power, so if you spend a substantial amount of time in cod, I'd just stick to 1440p
I appreciate this, I never really even put that into perspective either
Let's say you had 1400 total budget
This, would be solid
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hTZ934
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
I am a 12V "electrician" so that actually makes sense lol
funni lookin shaders
4K screens look great when they're big tv's on a wall, if you don't have your eyes sitting 5cm from the screen you won't notice the difference to 1440p on a normal 27"
I could probably shell out the extra $200 since a monitor is included in that as well
My original $1200 was in the tower itself
What about 1700
I knew I'd be forking over another 2-300 bucks for a monitor lol
I used to have a 32" 720p TV when I was a freshman in high school lolll
Including monitor?
Ye

need a new wallpaper? ...
Also noob question, I thought Nvidia was a better graphics card?
Oh boy
It's just a value proposition problem here
Sure the 1200$ card is going to be better than the 500$ card, but that doesn't mean you should spend 1200$ when the 500$ card is just a bit worse
