I have a possibly dead (old) SSD, or possibly just a corrupted Windows on the (old) SSD. If I replace the SSD with a new one, install Windows 10 with a USB, boot from the new SSD with the old SSD reconnected, could I then pull files off of the old SSD? Or would this risk the new SSD?

I don't remember the exact numbers but it's something like you have to swap pokemon 2 with pokemon 11 and then something else like pokemon 65
then you go to your bag and throw away some quantity of an item that's way past the bag limit

then you walk out the door of your house and it's the hall of fame
basically the save process initializes the whole file to FF bytes
so if you interrupt the save at the perfect time you'll get a save that's intact enough to load in but still has the "number of pokemon in party" flag set to 255
but since theres only supposed to be 6 pokemon the slots after 6 are overflowing into different parts of the RAM

since they put different sections of RAM right next to each other with no checks
so swapping pokemon past 6 is actually directly manipulating unrelated parts of RAM
you do that to corrupt your item bag to have 255/20 items
then discarding an item past the bag limit changes warp data in the RAM past your items
and that's how you warp to the hall of fame in 40 seconds
