So, it has been a few days and I can confirm that the new NVIDIA drivers have solved the audio popping issues in all ways, EXCEPT:
If I open After burner and switch between GPU's for my settings, it cracks and lags like crazy, like several cracks a second. But once I am done and I close it, it goes back to 100% stable
Thank you guys for the help! This being fixed finally has helped me work so much more on my preparation for my job, as well as just generally have a way lower blood pressure
having my PC rapidly and randomly lock up while trying to work, while having loud and ear splitting audio pops was hell. I will never take for granted a smooth system again

Razer has been doing optical switches for a while. That specific listing seems to have images for gen1 and gen3 switches but only sells gen3. So it could be just an old listing where they add but dont remove info. Everything could still be compatible if their switch generations are cross compatible but idk enough about Razer to know that.
Also I just picked the first Razer switch listing. There are other ones that are likely cheaper on Ali.

I have a spare 3700X that I want to give him so he can save some money. He already has a 1440p 144Hz monitor, so I'm thinking a 6700 XT would be good for the monitor. But I'm not sure if it would be a good pair for the 3700X
