What good white mouse no wire ? :b
logitech g pro superlight, razer orochi v2, razer viper ultimate, hyperx pulsefire haste wireless, roccat kone pro air, pulsar xlite wireless, glorious model o/d wireless
theres more good stuff out there but cant remember off the top of my head
Mmm, computer, work very good, good computer
can anyone help with my microphone not working?
I bought a new one because my older one was doing the same thing but turns out its my PC not the mics.
what kind of issues
i finished the arcade board side of my fightstick, but since it is technically a peripheral, i should mention i also ordered the retro board to use on the first two playstations and gc/wii
Do any of y'all know a good cheap 4k capture card? That's usb? I hope this is the right channel to ask this in lol
4k60 or higher?
4k30
4k60 is good too if it isn't much more expensive
I'm using this for a camera and it only does 4k30
I'm using HDMI from my camera and my laptop only have USB
3.0
I've been using this for a while
4k30 uses about 800MB/s, what gen usb is that laptop exactly?
No clue
those cheap ones will not support 4k
It's a 1050ti hp laptop with an Intel CPU
This would work
I know it's waht I have now though
I am close to my laptop, if there's a way to look up what the USB is I can do that too
Look for one of those labels by the usb ports
See if it says 5, 10, or 20
If it doesn't have one grab the model number off the bottom
15-cx0030nr
Oh darn
Well thanks for your help
So if I get a new laptop, I need USB 3.2 gen 1 or better?
One that advertises 10gb usb
Oh ok
The specific naming gets confusing
Yeah true lol
These all mean the same thing for example
SuperSpeed USB 5Gbit/s, USB SuperSpeed 5 Gbps, USB 3.2 Gen 1×1, USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.0
Does anyone know of a cheap wireless router? It will not have internet going through it. I need to just to be able to use my smart stuff with the alexa dot thing that is in tech deals.
could make one with a raspberry pi if you have one
I don't have one. I asked my ex if she had a router not being used, she said she'll look when she gets home
otherwise I found one on amazon for $16
If you have a laptop, even an old one, you can set it up as an access point usually. It's easiest with Linux.
I appreciate the info. I don't have a laptop though 😛
is an apex pro with the actuation switches for $100 considered a really good deal? @daring zenith
it used to be $200
it's pretty okay
it's like a meh keyboard with an interesting gimmick
if you like the omnipoint thing, sure, could be good for you
chyros has a nice video on it https://youtu.be/jfz9TgeZ9m0
Skip to 27:41 for a typing demonstration.
Explanation of the Hall effect: https://bit.ly/2kVoxLc
Today we look at Steelseries' Hall effect offering, the Apex Pro. Naturally, this new keyboard drew my attention. Expensive, but very high-spec, including analog capability, this is quite the keyboard – so much so, that this shattered my previous re...
@tight pulsar i beat the bots
what stuff?
perestroika
better be actually using it
i got a tkl i plan on using it on
bids?
i always somehow forget about bids
yeah
which one?
was going to pick up a black one similar to that but somebody else got it first a bit ago
don't think it was on ebay but they might have also listed it
hm, anyone know if its possible to get an hdmi splitter to work with an elgato 4k60 mk 2 input so that i can have multiple devices into the capture card and it just simply read whichever one is feeding input?
i hate having to swap the hdmi between my series x and nintendo switch
What you want is a KVM switch
Something like this with dual input and one output to go to the capture card. And make sure it's rated 2.0 or higher for 4k60. https://www.newegg.com/p/1DJ-00YZ-00001
now is there anything i have to worry about audio wise, or will that all still be ran to the pc as is and i dont need to worry about audio as well
Audio is routed through hdmi right?
Well to answer my own question yes on consoles, unless you're using headphones
So audio will switch as the video switches
i run all of my sound through my headset (arctis pro wireless). I just got a capture card a few days ago to make it easier to stream my switch and series x to twitch, discord etc, and not having to worry about the hassle of having to constantly change monitor sources etc. its just a hassle to be constantly swapping the hdmi inputs between the 2, so i was seeing if there was a simple way of having multiple inputs
So you're using the headset connected to the console?
ive got the console (whichever im using at the time) inputting through the capture card and using elgato's capture utility to stream the game and audio to obs, my headset etc
Ok so the headset is on the PC then?
yee
Ok, yeah it'll work fine
its a usb base station to wireless headset
In case there was something you wanted to connect to either console the USB ports on the KVM could be used for that, like a keyboard on the consoles
So if the headset was connected by usb to the consoles, you could connect it to the KVM and eliminate having to swap it
But since the headset is on the PC that's not an issue
@timber ridge 👀
the aftermarket price isn't too bad for them
might pick up a duck eagle/viper to try and then sell if i don't like it, been wanting one for a while
I've been eyeing the viper too
duck is what got me in the hobby a few years back with the Orion, but I need a hhkb in my collection
waiting on my friend to move to Japan to get me a realforce
which one you looking at?
haven't really looked into the market yet
prob will just pick what he offers when gets there
yahoo japan and mercari are pretty nice for finding r1 boards
most people i know are just importing 87/86u from there
it's usually a hit or miss for me
the good stuff sell out the day they are posted
i still havnt tried mx browns yet lol
smh
if i desolder all of the switches from those boards i think i'll have 4-500 mx+greetech browns laying around yikes
i wanna try some aristotle stems
Is Redragon storm m808 a good mouse for csgo and valorant?
logitech g915 worth the price? Looking for a quality wireless keyboard that doesn't require a wrist rest to feel comfortable
If you don't want to use a wrist rest, you'll prob want to do something like a keychron k1/k3/k7, something slim, g915 just seems way overpriced, 200$ for that is asking for a lot
not sure if using it for gaming makes a difference on what a better keyboard is but it will mostly be split 50/50 between computer work and gaming
Gaming typically uses less keys so you can typically get away with a smaller keyboard while gaming, the rest is just preference stuff
sounds good, thank you
ooh dolch r5 packaging looks so nice https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/718440639326322730/965208322930274314/0001.jpg
Do y’all know how I can change my key binds with the adapter ?
^ Continued from #graphics-cards message
Need help
take it to dms
dont take it to dms bc the answer no

😭
Keychron board at best buy? That's surprising
Just get a Leopold @amber tusk @bleak prairie
Keychron if u plan on modifying in the future
Leopold great for something decent to sit on, keychron for hotswap
thats why i said keychron if u plan on modifying in the future
would a system restore fix that issue, roll back the drivers?
are there any people here familiar with a lot of tactile switches?
my friend is looking for a "softer" tactile switch
one with a less pronounced tactile bump
Softer compared to what? Or do you just mean a light tactile
yeah like a light tactile
probably a bit more than a cherry mx brown
So a medium
yea
65%, and im not sure what plate yet
just switches
ik what keycaps I'm gonna get him, and the keyboard kit I'm gonna pick up is that epomaker cat one
the gb that's goin on rn
he's not super particular so I'm not worried about it not being perfect, and he used very vague descriptions of tactility, so I'm working with what I have lol
u4t might be fun for smoother bump
is that too close to a linear do you think? he said he doesn't really like linears
is it enough of a bump to give a little feedback?
...?
bro I have no idea lemme screenshot what he said
Why does he really dislike linears and want less of a bump, a bit weird, but okay
But u4t still has a bump
okay
U4t is very tactile
If u want a light to medium do not buy u4ts
Maybe he might like clears? The scratch may be a turn off for some
You kind of just have to embrace the cherry scratch and own it
Otherwise ttc bluish whites are very nice
Sort of like a lighter u4t
I'd second the ttc
just got my EVGA Z15 with Kaihl Speed Silver Switches and holy wowza is it great
for me anyways
so.. should I be using my mouse and keyboard in usb 3 ports?
Not really necessary. You're not going to get near the bandwidth limit, even if you have a LCD with a video playing on your keyboard.
what now
ok. I wasn't sure
buy 2 seperate arms
these are the two that i use. sadge the second one is unavailable right now
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T5SY43L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My steelseries keyboard keeps bugging out
I use the oled panel for pc temps and all that
The second I enter a game it shuts off
I turn it on
After 10 seconds it turns off
Ugh
This is so annoying
Only gimmick I actually liked on this KB
Whats a good wired or bluetooth mouse and which one you recommend the most
I believe my hyperx pulsefire wire is dying it disconnects and stops working for a few moments
?
logitech g pro x superlight
What other mouse do you recommend for gaming
Somewhere idk my budget lol i would buy the superlight but i havent checked if they in stock lol
100$ example for my budget
Rvu for 2.4ghz wireless
maybe dont just say RVU and leave them guessing to what that means
Razer viper ultimate
Was in a hurry, kinda guessed someone would spell it out
Would a nic card count as a peripheral?
I have a new wireless card installed on my computer that also functions as a Bluetooth card, I know that the card works because the Bluetooth works fine, but the wireless networks are not picking up even though I installed the driver's for it
haha asked 1upkeyboard to draw something
haha
lovely
antennas?
yo nachos official mod now
evangelion rei ?
has anyone here bought the glorious model I? i like how it looks and the reviews abt it but kinda skeptical cause of the previous mice
find a few ppl who are interested then get it made in china
@tight pulsar peep
nice
perestroika prices getting more absurd
yeah
idk how people can justify paying that much
pretty sure my entire commission board was less than what they go for
prob is depending on wat manu you pick
my rule of thumb with glorious is dont pre-order/buy first batch when it releases. they have good/decent mice but they tend to have a good amount of qc issues with said first batch
afterwards though like a month or 2 you should be alright
even if you were to get a bad one though, glorious tends to be pretty good with handling it
ohh alright thanks
do you also lube top housings? or is it just bottom housings, springs, and stems?
yeah some people lube top housings but it usually doesn't have a super large impact
for linears or tactiles
also id say lubing the stems is more than enough
stems and springs
its not a big deal in general
best advice i can give u
is just try out differen combinations
figure out waht u like
Yes dw i just kidnapped them and took over their account
Is hyperx good brand for mouse? if so what model should i get
Huge sale on my local store
they remember me!
i am fulfilled
yes i'm alive but i've been really busy lately and took discord off my phone for various reasons so i'm really inactive now
Sheeee its a wild clem
This is why you trademark your name smh
Should I get HyperX pulsefire haste for 30 €?
anyone got a recommendation for good headset with good mic for around 50 dollars usd?
there isn't a whole lot in that bracket. I think the razer blackshark wasn't too bad. if you prioritize sound quality to you then maybe you can find a porta pro with in line mic or a iem like the zex pro with mic. there are a lot more iems than headphones that standout in the price bracket
hmmmmm. im trying to figure what to upgrade for my birthday and I think I'm just gonna stick with the headset I have and maybe get a new mic
External mic would be easier to get decent quality at that price yeah
q2u, solocast, or a lav mic can fit in that budget
which is better for just vcing with friends. kinda limited space
if you don't mind clipping it to you a lav could be an interesting choice but if background noise is a concern of yours the q2u would be better
im not really a fan of clipping it to me so ill check out the q2u
ye they can also be very handy if you attach a wireless transmitter and receiver than it allows for a lot more freedom but that gets expensive and I would say is more useful in film
Ok so I'm still debating the hs70 vs the barracuda x
I think the hs70 will probably have better quality, but it'll also stand out more on zoom calls
Is 40mm vs 50mm drivers a big deal?
OK so my mom's old laptop keyboard is funky. Some keys work and a lot of them don't. We've been using a PC keyboard VIA USB to circumvent the issue. Would it be possible to take said laptop into a repair shop to replace the keys that don't work?
By replacing the whole thing
It's a Chromebook
You can replace the keyboard yeah, it doesn't cost too much to buy
There's the model time to search
Laptop US layout keyboard for HP Pavilion 14-ce2068st notebook, 100% compatible and Brand new. 30 Days Money-Back, 6 months Warranty. Using this excellent keyboard for your laptop.
Website looks ok to me, no glaring issues or scam reports. Should be good.
any good wireless headsets? I want something i can go to when my turtle beaches die
With a mic?
I've always trusted Sennheiser
Thanks for lookin out
Not exactly sure which channel to ask this in.. I'm looking for something to put my pc tower on that can sit next to my desk. Preferably high enough my puppy can't get to the wires as he thinks they are yummy. Also hopefully cheap.
Why not just the desk? Not enough room?
There is right now, but won't be once I get another monitor
You can spray deterrent on your cables to keep the puppy from chewing
I could, but I don't like the idea of my pc being close to the floor anyways.
Put a low shelf up then, behind your monitors
Drill the glass like a chad
Lol
You could rig it to attach to the side of the desk
Or the bottom
Nah bottom is a bad idea
That seems like a lot of work with tools I don't have, so that would probably end up being more expensive lol
You don't have a drill? Home depot will cut the wood to size for you
I do not have a drill.
I had to restart from nothing and I'm slowly building back up.
But uhm.
I didn't know home depot would cut wood for me.
Well without getting another piece of furniture to put next to the desk I'm out of ideas
Soo...
I may actually go find a cheap drill at a pawnshop or something and
Just make my own tower stand
Yeah just ask one of the clerks in the wood department, they have a sawblade. Just tell them the dimensions you need.
Sweet
I've had this idea for a stand for a while now, just no way to get the wood cut lol
Then all you need is to draw up a blueprint so you can visualize where the pieces go, measure, maybe finish the wood so it looks nice.
I had them cut the particle board I got for my entertainment center. Their cut was fine but my mistake was not measuring before leaving, so I had to call my wife to have her measure... It was a little off. Like 2 inches.
Damn
Yeah I'm gonna get the blueprints made up when I get off work. Tonight is my Friday so tomorrow I can go and get everything and get it made.
I think my ex might even have a drill so that just leaves the cost of the wood/screws. I might stain it later.
If she has the attachments I might just use bolts instead for longevity.
no

These may be wired
I just spent the last 3ish hours mapping out a custom stand. it's gonna cost a bit, but I am willing to spend this to have something I made myself for my PC. I am totally gonna stain it too. Thank you for the suggestion and letting me know about Home Depot cutting the lumber.
it's gonna be worth a million bucks 😛
In my personal opinion, building it yourself is far better anyway, since it gets made exactly how you want it. If I buy something I always end up modifying it anyway.
I feel like for the cost of building it, it's gonna be much better/sturdier quality than something of the same price I find online.
what is the best stand alone mic
I mean do you want to know the best all around mic?
I was gonna say you want to know what is the best most versatile than here ya go xD https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/146361-REG/Neumann_U_87_AI_SET_Z_U87_Ai_SETZ_Nickel.html

What are the two connector for? 2.4 and 5GHz?
It's a ar5bxb63 WLAN card (pretty old ) and I was wondering if by changing the cable to the other I can get 5GHz connection
Also... What is this connector? Almost the same dimension as the SODIMM RAM
mini pci i think
What usb type c gaming headset is good for around 100$
type c?
just get an adapter
use any old usb headset
i dont think type c headsets exist outside of some niche i dont know about
also lol?
not how that works
Isn't the second "pin" for another antenna?
I thought that was for 5GHz and it wasn't being used
Reason: Duplicated text
ah ffs
I rate it 5x
to the keyboard people out there, are their any decent keebs that have a toggle between wired and bluetooth or dongle wireless
Keychron K boards do, BT/wired, although it's on the cheap end for mech keebs in general
There's that one keeb skiptrace liked purely for having 2.4ghz if you want to look for that again
It was iqunlx l80
What do you think? I left the back side open so I could easily access the airfilter on the bottom of the case.
I plan on sanding and staining on a later date
That looks great!
Computer stand
Bigger monitor = less desk space, can't use floor space because puppy chews cords
Elegant solution to the problem
I left like an 1.5 inches around the whole case so I could get good airflow from under
I'll post a pic later of it all set up.
That's exactly what I would have suggested to do as well
My gpu is supposed to be here in like an hour so ill be unhooking my pc then.
Idk what I'm gonna put on the shelf though. I figured that I may as well add one though because 1. It adds stability and 2. Its nice to have a shelf lol
things will find their way to it
where there is a place to put things, people will put things there
what kind of stain?
Not quite sure yet. I was thinking darker. With a good sealer.
I'm thinking like dark walnut or jacobea n
Maybe ebony?
I was gonna go with some thin tile of some sort for the shelf and top as well.
@timber ridge
trying to spare some relegendables ?
probably going to keep some and sell a set to break even on everything
back looks kinda odd
feels like it should be a bit larger gap or just go all the way to the back
yeah it does
i get what u mean
this is bot btw
kinda hard to push it back without making it wonky bc the usb port already takes up a good chunk of the top piece
prob
if i make it red i think ima do brass
navy with ss sandblast would be nice too
ah that makes sense that its tkl
with the frow, you have more space to play around with
we got 1895u done on an alice
manu pic is super bad tho
so color may dif in person
is that proto a 65?
also lmk what that alice looks like with better pics when y'all get it
dirty board
the one with grill bottom is a 60
ah
since this board has a gray on the spacebar i now have both tactile and linear cherry clears and grays
how are broken in clears
the tactiles are pretty nice
got them a while ago polished from treeleaf but wish i got enough for a full build
Anyone know a good mouse that is like 35 bucks
because my g402 has done me well but i think its time to switch
refer to the pinned messages about mouse grip then we can give a safe recommendation that'll suit you best
oh sounds nice
bro i dont knwo what mouse grip i use
Place your hand on your mouse how you would normally. There's combo grip styles too, that combine the others.
I'm a palm/claw for example
i use like a palm grip
2 on the right side
2 on the mouse buttons o
and one on the left
Fingers laying flat on the left/right click or raised up?
flat
Yeah that's a palm grip
i was going for a mouse that is about 100g or lighter
I might get a razer deathadder v2 wireless
theres like 4 different deathadder v2 wireless mice
Razer Deathadder V2 Pro Wireless
should be good unles you got really long fingers
i dont really got that long finger at least i think so
let me mesure
,y middle finger is liek 2 and like 1/4 inches
need to finish getting the gunk off but cleaning up nice
@tight pulsar cherry lip or without
i feel that the lip works better than no lip with the back angles
but the angle on that render looks kinda odd
ic
lip look cool
you could have the lip, but make the distance from the yellow line to the top and to the bottom the same
this would involve shortening the keyboard height or changing the angle tho
but you def would want the yellow band to be centered
@timber ridge relegendable haul from one board
I need some
wish the rest had the tops but oh well
based on how much a friend paid for a set i think i can sell a single set and cover all 3 boards which would be sweet
How much was the haul
90+20ish for shipping
Are you selling whole base or jus relegends
Prob can get away with base for that much
the nornal keys are just pad print pom/pbt so not really worth anything
huh that's interesting
but my friend overpaid 120 for these so remaking cost shouldn't be too bad
Need some cmyk mods
cmyk/w prices so high tho
someone has a beige add on kit in ic
i need rgb mods too
xmi doesnt support split shift
oh yeah the ic with all the beige/accent kits?
it's up to your preference
^
yup
ok fair enough
hes running a green dcs set too
i prefer 96% myself
cause im used to the compact keyboard layout of my laptop
and still has numpad
the one that looks like ascii+nuke data?
too deep?
it mutes
if your board is on the quieter side, itd mute it
on the bright side, the mods are p close to crp
yeah that's why i wasn't a fan when i heard they were moving to 1.7/8mm thickness
also the caps on those old boards are actually decently thick huh
like old ncr stuff?
the boards i bought
thought they would be thin since they're pad print but actually are 1.5 thick
legends still look really dumb and yellowed but they feel nice
what set we using right now, what keycap profile we like?
material preferably
pbt.
They better use better stabs
recommendation for a headset with mic?
budget?
$60 or udner preferable
was checking how much a10s were, my friend bought a pair and they are a POS
gmr air perhaps
i asked if she could return them and get a diff headset that won't be a headache
does it use usb?

Got the name of a keypad/macropad thing I'm trying to find if anyone wants to help
I’ve been using a Keeb.io Iris v2 for a year or so and loved it. Then I got a BD9 and that lived between the two halves of the Iris (used this mostly for Tmux macros). I eventually made a 3D printed tent setup that was very comfortable. This setup was very usable, but I got tired of the two split halves moving relative to each other and also wan...
Found this case for a keebio iris on thingiverse, mentions a "BD9"
Can't find anything about what that is for the life of me
https://keeb.io/collections/frontpage/products/bdn9-rev-2-3x3-9-key-macropad-rotary-encoder-and-rgb they meant BDN9 Im assuming
Revision 2 of the board that's a tribute to one of the greatest players ever, the BDN9 is a fun little 3x3 macropad that lets you try out a few rotary encoders as well. What can you do with rotary encoders? That's for you to figure out! Use it as up/down, page up/down, volume control, or whatever, get creative. Go win
See, that's what I thought, but his middle plate is a 3x4 board, and arced really weird
Might've taken a BDN9 and super customized it
yeah maybe they have the rev 1?
Rev 1 was 3x3 as well

curious how bad the qc will be considering they cant even get their mice in order
gmmk pro round 2
“The entire mechanical keyboard industry is going to be changed” also just releases 75% with knob
Where's 1% with knob
with holes in the keyboard to make it more lightweight
lol
But wut if they made a keyboard suspended over a vacuum like the pcb is hovering with magnets…
oh nice
I bought a arctics headset 7 I was wondering if I have to use the little usb dongle thing for wireless
hello
I know this is dumb but olive oil works surprisingly good for keyboard switches lubrication
it's actually not dumb it's genius
I've done it and it's great
I've lubed a few switches and only a few because I didn't want to take the risk of ruining anything, and my Z key after a solid 6 months stands out of every other key from my keyboard, however I haven't compared it to an actual lubricating grease
Well olive oil goes rancid…
Yeah I'd stick to krytox
organic stuff is a bad idea for that
if it's genius then why would people still buy krytox as lube
it could smell bad after some time, as well as collect dust and possibly water
^
no that is a terrible idea
there is a reason synthetic lube exists
and there is a reason everyone uses it
well honestly
my keyboard
it's still fine so far
and it's been definitely more than a whole
while*
like a solid 6 months at the very least
the portions used in tiny amounts barely gives off a scent to begin with
the point is that organic stuff isn't dielectric at all
and that they go rancid after sometime, possibly messing up your keybosrd
if it works for you, great. but that doesn't mean you should be spreading the word like it sounds like a cool idea
don't make the kids do more stupid stuff
That reeks of "TikTok hacks"
^
grabs olive oil from kitchen cupboard
literally reeks lololol
anyone got a good recommendation for a microphone boom/arm? mine is really flimsy and at an awkward angle... feel free to @ me or DM me a suggestion THANKS!
what kinda budget
Olive oil will usually start going rancid a year or so after opening it. I'd expect to start seeing problems around then
Get actual lube. It's cheap
But olive oil everything 😦
I am very confused
I took my keys off my keyboard to clean it
And now my keyboard doesn't do the correct inputs
Apparently neither does my mouse...?
did u put the keycaps in the wrong places?
fixed it
i hit all the keys at once and something fixed it
when in doubt, key mash
lol
new headphones go crazy
and these arent even supposed to be that good quality are they
which ones
nobody does
yeah they sound good enough
i was using apple wired before this
so its not exactly like my standards are high
like ear buds?
oof
i just got everything else i wanted first
second monitor new keyboard and wireless mouse first
seem more important yk
oh for sure
get a wireless mouse with a built-in rechargeable battery and an optional cable
being able to quickly plug in your mouse and keep using it when the batteries die
huge bonus
ah yeah i have one of those
its a random one though
lmao
oof
oh wow
legit best thing ever
is that the viper?
basilisk
ah
yeah im tryna go as light as i can
apparently theres a new viper mini coming out soon
viper mini wireless basically
you would have a hard time finding a wireless mouse worth buying thats also too heavy
most of em are light af
i mean theyre already 120+ lol
true
most of the improvements recently have just been getting lighter anyway
💀
discord moment
waht are some good mice for people that have very large hands (13 inches)
Have you considered learning piano?
Im looking for (gaming) headset recommendations, currently looking at EPOS Audio H6PRO but im very open.
Ideally wired but not a deal breaker
Great mic - this is the main thing im looking for. *mic must be on the headset
Not really too concerned about budget, max is $375 USD. I am willing to spend money on this
You want separate mic?
ideally not (I dont have much desk space)
Honestly you could probably be satisfied with something like a pc38x. Or take a more interesting route and get a good stereo headphone and attach a modmic or wireless modmic. As for the headphone I couldn’t tell you exactly what you’d like but if i were to put a safe placeholder than like hd6xx + modmic wireless. Or a wired modmic and invest a bit into a schiit fulla or hel for a dac amp
Although a wired modmic might start to become too many cables
i rather just buy it an be done
Lol than you can look between the epos and pc38x
thx
kinda clean now
I bought the razor huntsman TE and I regret it
Way to sensitive, if I rest my finger tips on the keys, it presses down
light springs
idk why the red laser on my corsair m55 rgb pro just turn off for no reason but yet i can still move my curser but at a lower sensitivity????
So uh, earlier today I had a power outage occur while I was on my PC. I have a surge protector that everything's plugged into, and all is well except for my headset, which seems to have started to create a real high pitched whine, tried everything from turning the headset off and on, unplugging the wireless dongle, and restarting the entire PC, and this whine seems to be intermittent but persistent. Is it possible that even with a surge protector the USB dongle has been damaged?
(It's not bad enough to warrant a replacement, but hey if it's something I can fix 🤷♂️)
Hi everyone i was wondering what a good mic would be for streaming and day to day use. I dont want my stream to hear my background or if i have a fan or ac going i dont want that to be heard either. My budget is 300$ for the mic
elgato wave:1. $80 rn on amazon. its usb so you dont have to worry and spend on extra stuff. it allows you to have different audio tracks and raise/lower volume of them so thats a good feature for streaming
has its own small stand too or you can buy a mic arm for it if you want to
mailday today was p nsane
is that the pink proto?
i hate selling stuff lmao
the funny thing is i had another buyer who was ready to buy so i just sold to him haha
broke basically even on the purchase by selling a set so pretty happy
Dog forbid you take 15 minutes to reply, you're not allowed to use the restroom or take a shower!
... Dog was a typo but I'm leaving it
it was worse than that falcie, he was breathing 😔
nachos are there any boards youre looking forward to?
not really
session-1 is an older board that hasn't gone to gb yet but looks pretty neat, been following it for a while
and xondat's boards all look really nice, a few should be finishing up soon
u still looking to sell?
are those essentially just clear keycaps?
oh wait.. so it's like a cap on top of a keycap?
no i sold the set
yeah they're in a lot of pos keyboards so they can put custom legends for whatever they need (here's what they looked like with stickers before i scraped them off)
ah ok
darn
hot take
all of corsair's peripherals suck
i agree with that
you can buy the other 2 sets off me for idk 400 each
Anyone know a all black wireless mouse?
Mostly gaming budget isnt a problem
you play mmos?
Nah fps
Razer DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed: Award-Winning Ergonomic Design - Ultra-Fast Hyperspeed Wireless - 235hr Battery Life - 7 Programmable Buttons - Gen 2 Mechanical Switches - 5G 14K DPI Optical Sensor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GK3LTVC/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_J35ZJ18M53YQZD03DQNQ
?
There are tons of black wireless keyboards
Thats why im asking because there are tons of em
Is the anne pro 2 good?
🤭
does anyone here know how to trouble shoot headsets? i cant seem to get my mic to work at all
@timber ridge new pickup with date code c (blacks?)
81 is p good
im waiting for my friend to run dcs wob then prob will pick that up along with relegends and rgb mods
dcs wob nice
sold that set of releg for 113 so can break even on just caps and keep switches if they're nice
anyone have any thoughts on if the WIRED hyperx cloud alpha headset is any good?
ye my friend is cooking a version with actual decent kitting
tell him to make a blue alert while he's at it
no good blue on beige/white sets that are easy to find
it float
which is better for valorant gameplay, glossy or matte mouse?
hes working on a budget hhkb
and he might have another set concept idk
but hes fs focusing on wob and hhkb
it's should obviously be matte, cause matte surface is less slippery than glossy
and it gives you more grip
Kz zsn pro x, kz dq6 or cca cra
doesnt really matter much unless you have pretty sweaty hands then go with matte
my blue yeti mic keeps saying
Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Failed)
is there like a fix
Might be driver issue
i have the same microphone, try downloading the blue yeti software first. then go on. if not, then try using a different cable, it could be an unsupported type
thanks
no problem
anyone know a good lightweight mouse? i want something a tiny bit cheaper than the model o- but as light as it. preferably in white and with rgb
used model o-
https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Spectrum-Ergonomic-Programmable-backlight/dp/B07MR2XHY2/ref=asc_df_B07MR2XHY2/? i had the black version of this

still works over a year later and was good
brother uses it now anyways, and i havent heard any complaints
is a bit heavy though
Redragon mostly doesn't suck but fork a lil bit more for a G203 or Viper Mini and its ALOT more better product for a little bit more
granted no rgb but theres really no point in rgb for a mouse considering your hand is going to be covering pretty much 95% of the rgb
viper mini right now i think is $27 usd
I love my redragon perdition 😛
i can tell neely
Purchase Razer Viper V2 Pro - Black (gaming mice), or browse through our extensive selection of gaming peripherals, and more at razer.com
endgame mouse
Can anyone recommend a good budget keyboard?£50 or less
Red dragon
Logitech has some decent wireless ones for sub £50 prices
is there any way to get a wired keyboard with a replaceable cable without getting a bluetooth one lmao
or without a custom one
All the keychron boards use usb-c afaik
what's the best gaming headset?
Best at what price point?
up to maybe $400
i have arctis 7. i really like it. what i don't like is the charge port got pushed in and i bought a new one, and this one's gonna do the same. also when i adjust the volume it's doing the funky thing where you have to sit it at the right spot for both ears to work
i bought them for $130 but i saw them for $260 now
@calm cobalt you fine with standalone headphone and mic?
Do you prefer closed back or open back?
What's that?
Types of headphones
Idk the difference
Better isolation or better soundstage
The most important things to me are being wireless, able to use it while charging and being able to pinpoint the heartbeats of my victims from across the map
With open back, the back is literally open, so sound will leak out
Aw wireless is no fun
I broke too many wired, plus I like to get up and leave sometimes
You prob want open back though, better sound stage means better for game audio
Wireless audio quality just isn't as nice
Aren't higher end ones better?
The problem is being wireless still
I'm willing to pay more for something better
If they have a good codak or whatever it's called it should be fine, right?
Like for wired, k612 pro + schiit fulla (or Zen dac but pricing has been weird, or just a dongle to save some money), and a q2u would be a good option
I can't match that quality wirelessly?
I don't think so, it's just amp&dac can make things sound quite nice
There's definitely decent wireless headphones though, I'm just not familiar with most of them
You're welcome
For standalone mic, q2u, or k669-b on the cheaper end, are pretty decent for their price
Just buy what Mr suggested and cut the cord. Bam, wireless.
Lmfao

That might work
There is k371 bt that's decent but closed back, removable wire, it's not bad though
k371bt is great
although the earcups arent very thick so if you have large ears, it will press down on the ends of the ear
Anybody know where to find new earpads for DT770 pros?
I've been doing research and I keep hearing mixed things. Can you get the same quality from a high end wireless headset that you can from wired?
Main thing you're missing with wireless is the amp&dac
What is that?
The drivers could be the exact same and capable of sounding the same, like in the case of k371 bt
The thing that turns digital signal from PC to analog for headphones, plus the amplifier that makes it loud enough
Can I still pinpoint my victim's heartbeat across the map just as well with wireless?
I'm still of the opinion it'll be more accurate with a nice dac&
But again, there are decent wireless headphones, I'm just not familiar with them
Wireless is so convenient. I can keep chatting while I go to the kitchen in between matches
I wanna hear their dripping sweat hitting the ground when they know I'm coming
In the end, you could try both and make your own conclusion
dont trust everything you read or hear from influencers
some peoples opinion are better than others
in my opinion
I've been doing a lot of research and asking around and I THINK I'm going with the corsair virtuoso
they look cool but thats about it imo
my friend got compression headaches from it tho
Looking for someone named Lance and was told to tell Lance someone named Sara directed me here.
You can plug it in for that high quality wired headphones experience, still use it wirelessly with good quality and I listened to the demo at best buy and it was the best auto distance and directionally I've heard
might just be his funny head
@lance#7777
waxk
I just think of this when you say corsair virtuoso lol

@timber ridge
Me?
yea
Audio mostly.
I had a corsair headset before that I hated because it was so not user friendly and had to use 3rd party programs just to be compatible, but I'm willing to give them another chance if it's worth it
yea id say lance and maybe iTechGhost#8085 are the 2 best audio people for advice
Cool, thanks.
id say corsair products are all mid
I just don't like Corsair
Just looking to change up my headphones and mics. Tired of my arctis pro + gamedac
I don't particularly like anything from Corsair
other than PSUs, but other people make those
to start, budget?
None
infinite?
Good ol' $59,000 option then >:p
https://en-us.sennheiser.com/sennheiser-he-1
About to blow disgusting money on upgrading my PC
But do you have a ballpark estimate?
Less than $1,000 I guess.
know if you prefer open back or closed back?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
whatever sounds best
I consider the Arctis Pro + Gamedac to sound incredible so
comparable or better than that
budget allocation would prob look like 100$ mic interface 200$ mic 200$ stack 500$ headphones
example could be ath-r70x with schiit stack for headphone & dac & amp
if u want best audio i wouldnt go wireless
u can sacrifice sound quality for concenience if u want to ig
mic wise ghosty prob knows more about, but prob something with a 2i2
like a sm7b with a 2i2 maybe
but that's really expensive
I just know cheap stuff, not the expensive good stuff :p
hi
Meowdy
so you have no budget and wanna upgrade mic n headphones ?
do you know what sound signature you enjoy most?
Not sure what that means
do you like bass, mids, highs etc
I play games like 2042, apex etc
I like explosions and whatnot to sound impactful and I like to hear stuff that most players don't if that makes sense.
mmm emu teaks will give you a really good bass response
but hd800s have really good sound stage/imaging
I've had HD800's before
Not sure what happened toi them, which sucks because they weren't cheap.
to be quite honest, my knowledge of headphones in the hifi range is kinda poor, i may not be the best person to turn to
I mentioned above but I currently have SteelSeries Arctis Pro + Gamedac and I think they sound great
but the mic is awful
wireless mics tend to sound meh
Mine are wired
o ic
you could go an xlr setup if you think its worth
but honestly you can get a usb mic and have a p significant upgrade
i havent seen that specific model yet but their new stuff has been really good for the price
Yeah, I was pleased with the pricing.
yea, fifine performs jus as good as most of the other usb mics that go for 100+
iirc, its pretty good
there was a minor con to it but i cant remember what it is
i think it had to do with it not handling plosives like p sounds too well but it wasnt terrible
ic, waiting for ghosty might be the best option bc hes the official mic man in this server
have you considered looking into iems over headphones?
What is that?
thats fair
since you play games like apex etc, i think my recommendations would still be 8xx for its imaging
or you can get emu teaks for their bio dynamic drivers/low end
apparently I have been summoned, I will read chat after I'm done playing with this server
Indeed, summoned to do mic things
if you like the 800s then you might like the 660S for a more budget option
Any suggestions for a 4k Webcam? Price doesn't matter too much.
after taking a look personally it sounds a bit sharp to me and I still prefer something like the q2u's freq response but that is also going to depend on your preference and voice.
if you are looking for a webcam with good detail I'd take a look at the elgato facecam, but if you are set on 4k honestly the only options I would look at are some budget or pro mirrorless cameras. most webcams have very small sensors and will suffer more from grain resulting in less actual useable pixels even at a higher resolution
something like the facecam will have a lot more detail than your average webcam having used it myself
can confirm the facecam is really nice
Speaking of elgato, how about an HDMI capture device, must be USB or Pcie X1.
elgato pretty much
unless you want one for a camera then i mean you can pic one up for like $20 or so on amazon similar to what elgato has
if you are thinking of getting a sony mirrorless or something, I think they actually made it a feature to use as webcam via usb
anyone have experience with corsair virtuoso?
unless theyve updated the software, its ass
lmao
corsair is not user friendly when it comes to headsets. after downloading 2 programs and following everything needed to set this thing up it sounds absolutely terrible wired but works great wireless. it's supposed to be better wired
even if its $0 vs like $20. its just so bad. sony's is the worst one of the few companies to make a software for their camera
Should have clarified this but I mean so I could capture console out, not a camera. I used to have a 4k60 Pro, which was nice, but I don't have an open PCIe x4 slot for it (I have a x16, but it would tank my video card if I used it).
there is the 4k camlink idk if its 60 or 30fps
with sony i think you cant even go with the full resolution of what your camera's video is capable, think it does some weird ass resolution like 956x780p or something and capped at like 23fps
23 or 24 fps should be fine, I forget why they limit res but I'd guess its a design thing
elgato. could go for something used if you want. happauge i think is still alive out there if you want to see what their pricing is like. avermedia is probably the next best thing next to elgato but their stuff can be kinda wonky at times with either qc or software
but they tend to be cheaper though in pricing
most cameras can only record at full res for ~30min at a time
That's the confusing part about the CamLink. Can it actually capture something like a console and not just a camera? I mean, I could use my 5D but that sure isn't what its for!
id rather be able to do full res and fps though granted dslr cameras arent really meant for video vs a video camera but still like why even have it at that point
the camlink is really meant for a camera
you could probably use it for something like a console but itd be finnicky probably
camlink is designed for cameras but it is standard hdmi, maybe there is a difference in framerates as I said im not sure it supports 60fps
at the $100 mark of the camlink, you could probably find a hd60/s or a used one at that price or lower
Was hoping for 4k since I have the shiny new XSERX and PS5.
youd be spending a bit more at their new hd60x then if you cant do pcie
Which stops at 1080p, which is unfortunate...
wait ye, its 4k passthrough not recording
only ones that capture 4k is their 4k60 S+/ Pro mk.2
dont think avermedia has any usb 4k capture, only 4k passthrough
Which I had, but my current board will only accept that if I run both PCIe x16 lanes at x8.
the 4k60 s+ is a usb device but its $400 since it was meant to be a portable device
It also has standalone recording, which I'm not sure I'd find useful.
nvm, avermedia seems to have more usb capture devices that allow for 4k30fps recording
I...think I have a thunderbolt port on my board...?
