HyperX cloud II's are supposed to be pretty good

gritty kettle
#

i have heard that cloud 2s are very comfortable

tacit wing
#

most of these headsets are a v-shaped mess with bloated bass, its not like there is a drastic difference between them. so in regard to gaming headsets pick whatever is available

pale cosmos
#

They're like 150 AUD so a bit better price wise

gritty kettle
#

yeah one of my friends has them

tacit wing
#

Moondrop Arias are a good entry point

gritty kettle
#

are the could IIs over ear or on ear?

tacit wing
#

depends on the size of your ears

gritty kettle
#

because last time i wore on ears they were not nice

tacit wing
#

if you got Dumbo ears then they'll most likely just sit on top of your earlobes

pale cosmos
#

Actually they're 120 on Amazon australia rn

gritty kettle
#

i dont have very large ears

pale cosmos
#

24% off sale

tacit wing
#

then they'll most likely be over if that's the case

gritty kettle
#

ah yeah

pale cosmos
#

111 aud if you prefer red

gritty kettle
#

my laptop already has too much black and red

#

too "gamer"

tacit wing
#

i dont think you'd be disappointed with Clouds as far as what you're expecting from a gaming headset

#

its a gaming headset

gritty kettle
#

any good for music at all?

pale cosmos
#

I don't know anyone who uses them but going by reviews I imagine not bad

#

It's a gaming set though

gritty kettle
#

ah yeah thanks

little crater
#

cloud 2s are good

sharp sun
#

Alright so I’m back 24 hours later and have time to talk perfs

#

I like Logitechs stuff

#

Only thing I was a little disappointed with is my G910 was like 120 bucks and there was no steel in it, but it’s a very nice heavy board

#

My desk mat is great

#

The headset I was looking at is the Logitech G Pro X maybe wireless, idk yet

#

I’ve heard really good reviews on it

tacit wing
#

if the Logitech continuity makes you happy then sure

#

what mouse you cop tho

sharp sun
#

Still have my IBuyPower not

#

Mouse

#

I like the G502 tho

#

And wanna go wireless but I’d need to spend another 100 bucks on a mousepad

#

When I like the one I already have

tacit wing
#

???100 bucks on a mousepad you said???

#

you dont need the powerplay

#

Logitech Hero sensor is super efficient except the one on the G703

sharp sun
#

Mmm

#

Yeah the 502 lite speed needs a special mousepad I think idk

tacit wing
#

No it doesn't

#

no Logitech gaming mouse has a proprietary mousepad for it to work properly

neon root
#

it doesnt need the powerplay mat, the powerplay mat is for those people that want to use a wireless mouse without having to charge it since its pretty much just a giant wireless charger

#

you can use any mousepad with the mouse

sharp sun
#

Oh gg nice

analog bloom
#

what do u guys recommend for keyboard and headset under 200$ for both

#

Drop Sennheiser PC38X (when on sale) or PC37X, then any number of keyboards for $60-80.

What’s a good mic for under 100$

tacit wing
sharp sun
#

I’m also looking at the G935 Logitech

tacit wing
#

pick whatever Logitech headset you want, all of them are more or less the same

#

its a gaming headset

sharp sun
#

🤨

#

I wanna go with the pro wireless but it’s so expensive

tacit wing
#

whether or not the extra $$$ is worth it for you depends on how much youre annoyed with the wire

#

i know some folk dish out that price premium because they wanna walk around the house without taking their headset off

sharp sun
#

ye

#

ive always been an earbuds guy, but i think i finally wanna go headset, as my earbuds never last

sand pasture
tacit wing
#

price has no correlation with performance

#

a good product is a good product

sand pasture
tacit wing
#

you're definitely getting something astronomically better than anything from a headset mic

sharp sun
#

idk if i can justufy 230 for a headset, like dang

#

its really a matter of needs and wants i guess

#

do i really need blue voice? lol

#

the surround sound is a must have though

tight pulsar
#

pwade cooking up another banger

steep pelican
tacit wing
#

most definitely

white flame
#

Not so much a scam but it's certainly not true surround. You'd need multiple drivers for that.

tacit wing
#

headphones will always be stereo since there's only two drivers involved but at the same time, a headphone can have great imaging

#

but also consider that directional audio is mostly carried by the game's audio engine itself

#

ie. Apex Legends have crap vertical audio, no headset/headphone whatever can save it

west hornet
tacit wing
#

hi ghosty

west hornet
#

ello, long time no see

daring zenith
#

Tbh it's kind of a scam when they charge a price premium for an advertised feature that doesn't do what it is advertised to do

#

Which is the 'virtual surround sound', that doesn't sound anything like actual surround sound

tacit wing
#

lots of marketing fluff on "gaming" stuff, this is nothing new

daring zenith
#

Doesn't hurt to call most products that charge a premium for being "gaming" somewhat of a scam

timber ridge

@tacit wing got any recommendations for deskmats on amazon

#

dont want it to be fast nor slow/ textured. maybe like a zero clone would do or so

tacit wing

the zero clones that does it right arent on Amazon sadly

#

LGG Saturn

#

they have deskmat sizes

ima jus snag a reg square

and i checked llg but its oos

there's also Odin Infinity but its a tad faster than Zero

white flame

Gamers Nexus pad/mat any good? Haven't heard anything bad

tacit wing
#

i can vouch for any of the LGG pads

timber ridge
#

and the venus lgg mat is available but im not quite sure how it compares

white flame
#

Idk they showed how much engineering they put into it, it's more than just "slap a logo on it"

tacit wing
#

none of the LGG pads are coated nor theyve been subliminated

#

the guy behind them actually knows what he's doing

timber ridge
#

which would you say is closest to like a reg qck

#

bc thats basically been wat im using and im not a fan of textured mats

tacit wing
#

if you want smooth and not textured, Vaxee PA

#

Gamesense Radar

#

those are the two control non textured pads i can vouch for

#

note that smooth pads are often made with the implementation of sublimination and the durability of the glide is not as good as textured pads

timber ridge
#

all the lgg stuff is textured?

#

might jus cope and swap over

tacit wing
#

yes

#

except for the Jupiter

anoyone know about mice my is the g703 but it has been skippy today

The bluetooth capability is nice for the very few times I'd get to use them out on the town through my phone, but I don't have very many opportunities to do that. It would be a good set to have for vacations and such, or when I'm at a friend's house and I want to listen to music, but otherwise I don't really do much music listening through bluetooth on my phone

glad yarrow

wireless cloud 2s might actually be pretty good

#

for sure better than Logitech or corsair ones

#

pretty low bar

gritty kettle
#

yeah i have heard that the cloud 2s are the best cheap "gaming" branded headsets

little crater
#

theyre probably fine even as a wireless headset

#

but 150 is steep

gritty kettle
#

hmmm

true depot
#

The Pioneer DJ X5BTs have a built-in microphone for hands-free calling that works in Bluetooth mode

#

But 150 is cheap for pro-level studio monitoring headphones.

gritty kettle
#

Yeah but the mic probably isn't great, that is the way that most wireless headphone mics are

gritty kettle
#

What's a nice over ear closed back headset

#

I don't care about wireless because I just looked at pricing for some wireless ones

true depot
#

If you don't really care too much about quality, pretty much any gamer branded headset will do.

#

If you're looking for something to use for voice chat in games but also want good quality audio, unfortunately the only real way to go is a cartoid or condenser microphone and just get a good set of quality headphones.

gritty kettle
#

Define good quality

true depot
#

I'm biased towards audiophile quality equipment like music studio stuff, which IMO, is better quality than any gamer-branded audio equipment.

#

But again, everyone has different opinions on what they consider good quality

gritty kettle
#

Yes but what makes something better or worse

true depot
#

For audio, it's not as cut and dry as it is with graphics, so it's not as easy to say what makes one headset or brand better than another. The fact that many audio hardwares are built for different purposes; DJ headphones have a flatter response curve and may not be able to accurately reproduce game sounds, for example, while gamer headsets don't necessarily have the ability to reproduce a wide open Soundstage

gritty kettle
#

Ah yeah

#

And gamer headphones have Hella bass

true depot
#

Then you have audio processing technologies like Head Relative Transfer Function that affect both the quality of the sounds and the perception of the Soundstage

#

There's also Binaural technology and a bunch of other stuff.

Alexander Borodin (1833–1887) was a composer, doctor, and chemist. Felix Blumenfeld (1863-1931) was a composer, conductor, pianist, and teacher. Both men were Russian. The Polovtsian Dances are part of Borodin's "Prince Igor" opera. Blumenfeld's arrangements of them for solo piano were published in 1888.

The Polovtsian Dances (or Polovetsian Dances) are perhaps the best known selections from Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor (1890). They are often played as a stand-alone concert piece. All I can find are enclosures with a single 5.25" bay and for the sake of brevity, I'll just say those aren't compatible.
Just to be clear, I'm not talking about pc cases with 5.25" bays, I'm talking about a small box whose sole purpose is to contain at least 3 5.25" bay inserts.

also another thing, hopefully this isnt pretty laughable but, i want to play with 800 dpi, but when i play fortnite, there is something annoying me, basically lets say i got a weapon, and i want to change it between slots, the mouse feels so fast that i put the weapon in the wrong slot or something mistakenly

There's mice like the logitech g502 hero (nice mouse for starting out) that have buttons to change dpi on the fly, and the g502 in particular has a "dpi shift" button that only changes the dpi while you hold it.

Hi there I am looking to buy a new headset as the one I have now is really glitchy and google will not play audio through it. Any suggestions

#

I would use it for gaming so surround sound is quite important

on a moderate budget the pc37x and 38x have been good options

Hello, I just got finished with completely building my first desktop pc and am having a posting issue, I don't know why. About 10 mins ago I got my PC to post, I went into the BIOS and noticed that my CPU fan wasn't detected right, so I looked in the case (through the tempered glass) and also noticed that 1 of my RAM cards wasn't turning on. So I turned off the power through both case button and the PSU switch, unplugged everything attached to the case, I re-checked and corrected the CPU fan and RAM cards. I now go to plug everything back in. The Mobo lights up when PSU is switched on, and RGB lights come on, but the same monitor doesn't detect the PC anymore and doesn't post anything. Same cables used as before, Monitor works fine, and nothing is broken in the PC. I'm stuck and out of ideas as to why it won't post....

Clear cmos might also help in general

Okok. So those the move then😳😳😳

if you prioritize sound over general features, yes

Have u tried em out personally? If u have em ive also seen mixed reviews regarding the quality as they seem to degrade overtime and wanted ur input on that. Also i aint rly too worried Nc, but i do think it has noice transparancy which i hope it does cuz lowkey wanna have the option to hear others without takin em off

tacit wing
#

personally no, i have owned a K361 though

#

but yeah, from people i trust they say the same thing, the build quality is kinda lack luster

#

tried yes, owned one no

definitely nothing wrong with those

for some reason I thought the name of Moondrop, the company, was Moonsparks, and was then thinking about moondrop iems

For example, if you repeatedly take only one of the earbuds out by itself a couple times the other will un pair from it then you have to do this pairing process again

#

And the manual is really bad at teaching you how to do it

#

But they sound really good so it’s probably worth it

shadow bane
#

i only use one at a time

#

so thatll be an issue

You can also just take both out and put the one you are not using back in the case after they connect

mmm

#

are there any other good options?
