i have heard that cloud 2s are very comfortable
most of these headsets are a v-shaped mess with bloated bass, its not like there is a drastic difference between them. so in regard to gaming headsets pick whatever is available
They're like 150 AUD so a bit better price wise
yeah one of my friends has them
Moondrop Arias are a good entry point
are the could IIs over ear or on ear?
depends on the size of your ears
because last time i wore on ears they were not nice
if you got Dumbo ears then they'll most likely just sit on top of your earlobes
Actually they're 120 on Amazon australia rn
i dont have very large ears
24% off sale
then they'll most likely be over if that's the case
ah yeah
111 aud if you prefer red
i dont think you'd be disappointed with Clouds as far as what you're expecting from a gaming headset
its a gaming headset
any good for music at all?
HyperX Cloud II features a newly designed USB sound card audio control box that amplifies audio and voice for an optimal Hi-Fi gaming experience, so you can hear what you’ve been missing. Open up a world of detail other gamers will never know the rustle of a camper’s boot, the scuttle in a distan...
I don't know anyone who uses them but going by reviews I imagine not bad
It's a gaming set though
ah yeah thanks
cloud 2s are good
Alright so I’m back 24 hours later and have time to talk perfs
I like Logitechs stuff
Only thing I was a little disappointed with is my G910 was like 120 bucks and there was no steel in it, but it’s a very nice heavy board
My desk mat is great
The headset I was looking at is the Logitech G Pro X maybe wireless, idk yet
I’ve heard really good reviews on it
Still have my IBuyPower not
Mouse
I like the G502 tho
And wanna go wireless but I’d need to spend another 100 bucks on a mousepad
When I like the one I already have
???100 bucks on a mousepad you said???
you dont need the powerplay
Logitech Hero sensor is super efficient except the one on the G703
No it doesn't
no Logitech gaming mouse has a proprietary mousepad for it to work properly
it doesnt need the powerplay mat, the powerplay mat is for those people that want to use a wireless mouse without having to charge it since its pretty much just a giant wireless charger
you can use any mousepad with the mouse
Oh gg nice
what do u guys recommend for keyboard and headset under 200$ for both
Drop Sennheiser PC38X (when on sale) or PC37X, then any number of keyboards for $60-80.
whats a good keyboard for like $50 max
Keychron something or other
C2
either wired keychrons or an hotswap rk
both should be decent for just $50
i really wish i had sound lol, poor earbuds
What’s a good mic for under 100$
samson go or fifine k669
I’m also looking at the G935 Logitech
pick whatever Logitech headset you want, all of them are more or less the same
its a gaming headset
whether or not the extra $$$ is worth it for you depends on how much youre annoyed with the wire
i know some folk dish out that price premium because they wanna walk around the house without taking their headset off
ye
ive always been an earbuds guy, but i think i finally wanna go headset, as my earbuds never last
Really a 30 dollar mic isn’t that bad?
Perfect appreciate it ordering now
you're definitely getting something astronomically better than anything from a headset mic
idk if i can justufy 230 for a headset, like dang
its really a matter of needs and wants i guess
do i really need blue voice? lol
the surround sound is a must have though
pwade cooking up another banger
“Surround sound” in headsets is just a scam
most definitely
Not so much a scam but it's certainly not true surround. You'd need multiple drivers for that.
headphones will always be stereo since there's only two drivers involved but at the same time, a headphone can have great imaging
but also consider that directional audio is mostly carried by the game's audio engine itself
ie. Apex Legends have crap vertical audio, no headset/headphone whatever can save it
the problem is even the headsets with multiple drivers still sound just bad. at least all of the ones i've seen
hi ghosty
ello, long time no see
Tbh it's kind of a scam when they charge a price premium for an advertised feature that doesn't do what it is advertised to do
Which is the 'virtual surround sound', that doesn't sound anything like actual surround sound
lots of marketing fluff on "gaming" stuff, this is nothing new
Doesn't hurt to call most products that charge a premium for being "gaming" somewhat of a scam
I cant find a wired full sized one, is there one of those?
Keychron c2
Dunno about full rk boards
Does it have a backlight?
One varient does, yes
Hype
mfw skiptrace isnt here to argue about this

i wanna know those use of the fifine gain knob at max
because then it just turns into funny peaking mess
bc for 12 year olds peak mic = funny meme
peaking mic=funny
same goes for drinking age year olds as well...
Peep the new mat
brocaps
only reason why i havent gotten an artisan or some is bc these mats
too nice to be covered
in terms of looks, im more of a fan of regular size mousepads next to keebs
instead of whole mouse mat under keeb and mouse
ye i feel you
but i know keeb enthusiasts need that dampening
there is kb mats
like barely the size of a kb but all the cool deskmats are fullsize
use to have these 3 too but i sold the blue one
anyone know any white full sized mousepads?
so lit
skunkworx?
do they have 1200mm*70mm?
check their site
durock poms
and i skipped the skunkworx version
lowkey regret spending so much on the board ngl
80 or 60?
wine 60
after running my own board with a friend, kinda makes you view boards differently
what manu are you and bowl using
jake but we got dds quotes too
i cant tell u how to spend ur money but i really wouldnt stress over it too much. either a) u keep it and u get an amazing board or b) u sell it for (a profit)
nice
so theres no losing really
ye resell def will be there but i think imam jus keep it
i need a nice tkl still
i actually regretted buying it the first time and refunded it but the morning after i realized i wanted itr and bought it again haha
haha
our dadesin quote was as much as cw60 msrp i think
but we only had 2 units
so 0 discount
wdym, in terms of like profit margins or effort or what?
profit etc
for the same price you can get your own board made from same manu
or about
yeah my friend and i are designing a board (well he is im just 3d printing protos)
in the same boat lol
i was like dude i should start 3d printing stuff
and he was like dude i should start creating keyboards
top/gummy
neat
u said it was just private between u and a friend?
8 mounting points for the top mount
think we're gonna do raffle
depends on the interest
if only like 10 ppl want it then itll jus be fcfs
if its anymore then raffle
whats it called?
no name as of now lol
but there is gonna be a norm version and a weeb version lol
i can inv u to server for updates etc
👍
8? probably would have been a lot easier to use v2/v2ce plate if you ever want to try other materials without spending a ton on one off plates
h60 compat
thougt it was a tkl my b
now that's some flexible stuff
could i run 80 ohm headphones out of a laptop or is that in the territory where i would need an amp
Depends on the headphones but smth like an apple dongle won't hurt either way
i was planinng on getting dt770 80 ohm version
Apple dongle or Meizu dongle doesn't hurt
apple dongle?
2.5mm jack to usb-c one
how would that help? (do you mean 3.5)
Ye 3.5mm but apple dongle has a dac& in it
So does Meizu dongle but Meizu dongle out of stock it seems
would there be one to 3.5 or regular usb?
because i want to passthrough my monitor
Meant to type 3.5, I only know the usb-c to 3.5mm one has a decent dac&
ah ok
This boi
oh i meant as output
3.5mm in>dac+amp>3.5mm out
Oh that's not really a thing
or is that not possible
3.5mm straight into motherboard uses the motherboard sound chip
Yes
💀
@gritty kettle so you have a combined dac/amp or separate?
oh you're asking about running it off a laptop, nvm
@tacit wing got any recommendations for deskmats on amazon
dont want it to be fast nor slow/ textured. maybe like a zero clone would do or so
the zero clones that does it right arent on Amazon sadly
LGG Saturn
they have deskmat sizes
there's also Odin Infinity but its a tad faster than Zero
was gonna try the controll2 since it got p good reviews
there's not much clones for the Zero theres a ton for the Hien tho
Gamers Nexus pad/mat any good? Haven't heard anything bad
i can vouch for any of the LGG pads
probably jus as good as any other yt merch mats
and the venus lgg mat is available but im not quite sure how it compares
Idk they showed how much engineering they put into it, it's more than just "slap a logo on it"
none of the LGG pads are coated nor theyve been subliminated
the guy behind them actually knows what he's doing
which would you say is closest to like a reg qck
bc thats basically been wat im using and im not a fan of textured mats
if you want smooth and not textured, Vaxee PA
Gamesense Radar
those are the two control non textured pads i can vouch for
note that smooth pads are often made with the implementation of sublimination and the durability of the glide is not as good as textured pads
ight ima prob snag a saturn, venus or control2
xray has a sale so its like 30 shipped for a xl
i dont think those are textured either
their Mod mat is fantastic, havent tried the mousepad though which is a different product
anoyone know about mice my is the g703 but it has been skippy today
Yeah I've got the medium mod mat for my workbench. I was more curious about the mousepad and deskpad.
dont know any known issues about the G703 sensor
it uses the first iteration of the HERO sensor which is more power hungry than their newer ones thats why its the mouse that has the worst battery life
i think its a bluetooth problem not sure tho
Air cans are your friend
use Lightspeed bro why are you using BT
If this is a new problem it could just be dust
what um is that
ok first off make sure your sensor is clean
second, check if GHUB is updated as well the mouse's firmware
GHUB is dont know how to update firmware
go on logitech's site and download GHub
have you cleaned your sensor yet?
no
i got a small brush i can wet
Wet=bad for electronics too
i dont have any canned air and is the sensor inside my mouse? or is it the thing at the bottom
its up to date and i dont see a cog wheel
i dont believe you lmao, because in order to see if your firmware is up to date you have to click on the cog wheel
now how can you say its up to date when you cant even find the cog wheel bro
exposed
hard to believe i know but it does say it
trying to find the ss i took
i send on phonwe
yea
probably and no i dont think so
is your polling rate at 1000?
afaik G703 doesnt have a BT mode so you should be at Lightspeed
i just switched had to turn it down because it was so bad
what polling rate you at right now?
1000
can you elaborate at the skipping part? like your cursor is making huge jumps instead of making smooth movements or?
yes when in game it looks like im playing 30fps with the way it moves
ok
untick it
unticked
was it ticked before?
yea it was
ok that might be the cause of the problem
also make sure whatever game your playing, check if there is a raw mouse input option
bet i appreciate it i will let you know if it keeps going
aight sick
@tacit wing grip tape does indeed grip
did you get the BTL
its gonna dry out in like a couple weeks
btw
but its still gonna grip but that sticky sensation will fade out overtime
yeah
also i dont feel stick
but maybe its just because idk how it should feel
i gotta get used to using the side buttons tho
and might need to glue part of my thumb grip
waiting on my taobao order to get grips
just installed these on my 203
will have to wait if they have more longevity than BTL
would anyone have recommendations on phone hacking protection from public charging stations ? like any specific data blocking charging cables
Just get a portable charger or something
There's charge only cables that don't have data pins
that's me and that's why I've never had a need to look into this hah
I'm asking for someone
ya I need to find something like that but for lightning cables
otherwise some adapter would be needed
Apple doesn't allow that, they use the data pins to communicate with the mfi chip in the cable. That's how they block non-genuine apple cables.
ooo interesting insight thanks
Something like this https://www.amazon.com/3rd-Gen-Data-Blocker-Pack/dp/B087CP5S7K
Idk anything about the apple thing
Safety should be your first choice If you want to charge your cell Mobile phones and computers on a friend's computer or in public, you will be very upset about whether your privacy will be revealed? Don't worry, use this Data Blocker to let you charge safely under any circumstances,Your secret i...
great thanks I was just gonna ask if u guys could check if this one will work hah
https://www.amazon.com/PortaPow-3rd-Data-Blocker-Pack/dp/B00T0DW3F8
PortaPow seems to be recommended at many places
(and that video in the product description was an interesting watch for sure 👀 )
I'm not sure if it's the best one, but given how it's all about disconnecting the data pins, not too complex
guess I'll just go with something well known 🤔
Not a complex device, but as i said i dont really know how apples charging works and if it’s going to be upset
ya if anything ig they can just return it since it's Amazon
Here's the backing track I used:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGV4cUmLOmI
Go give it a try yourself!
Hi, does anyone know any budget studio monitor speakers in white?
Hi! I am searching for a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.71 GHz fan - anyone know who might carry? Newegg was a bust.
thats a laptop cpu
ur not really gonna get it anywhere
since its soldered to the board
The kali audio lp 6 is a popular budget monitor, i believe comes in white
Ahh thank you!
@west hornet have you listened to the mad rat dead camellia OSTs
they very nice
very rhythm game esq
Does anyone have any recommendations for an excellent noise canceling microphone?
The noise canceling part is mainly software, have you tried using RTX voice?
@daring zenith i honestly just ordered the pc and am gathering the accessories so no i have not. I live in an area that all sounds from the main road pour into my room so i thought it was all in the mic
Ye noise cancelling is mostly a software thing although if you have a lot of background noise perhaps try a dynamic mic like the samson q2u
🙏🏻 thank you
RTX Voice is sick
NVIDIA Broadcast did crash on me once when I was playing a game with RTX on
it was a very rare one occasion tho
but how many games have rtx xD
What...?
what\
but how many games have rtx xD
How bad is your ambient noise in your recording space?
@karmic crescent it varies but i live on a main street in a downtown area so you can hear cars drive by, people yelling, sirens almost every hour. Its so much that I considered buying a real studio recording mic with a sound absorber thing right behind it.
That's rough. Main street living is hard for the sleep and relaxation. Emergency vehicles are way more common than people in neighborhoods realize.
I’ve gotten used to it but when im playing with other people they’ll point it out and i spent a medium amount of money for the headset i have currently
I think the dynamic mic will work best
Longer term, relocate though.
I fought hard for this apartment lol the sound is awful but it speaks to my wallet which allows me to make up for it with a nice mic
You can't buy a good night's sleep
Decent dynamic mic + software for removing noise. I usually just use a program with a decent Gate function but more extreme stuff can use smth like Nvidia Broadcast Voice or smth.
Ye if you get a decent dynamic mic and keep yourself pretty close to it bg noise shouldn’t be as bad
doesn't the new at2040 or whatever the name is have a super cardioid or some
should be good for blocking unwanted sounds
dynamic mics alone wouldnt be able to block out the extremes such as desk slams and stuff
rtx voice isolates your voice from literally everything else because its able to recognize it
Well yes but a dynamic will definitely help software like rtx voice
how are the Edifier R1280T speakers?
does anyone know where i can get some replacement gaskets for a polaris
So I want to try and record gameplay but I've got a massive GPU bottleneck (think we all know this pain now.) But if I were to run a capture card of sorts would this help keep my frames up in the stream and in gameplay. My cpu is a 3600x, I've got 32gbs of 3600hz ram and then the GPU is a RX460 (sadly).
Capture card recording has least impact on performance but would need another pc to actually record
Ah, 😕
Idk if the rx460 has a hardware encoder but you can try messing around with the hardware encoder or maybe doing software encoding on very fast
ok firstly, what headphones do you use with it and how far away are you usually
im using the powerbeats 4, im right beside them
windows or mac pc
i got the dbs version and i enjoy them
sub bass isnt there but its kinda expected at their size/no sub
windows
Reason: Bad word usage
bad company
waiting on the day they lock some keycap set behind their keycap club paywall
lots of "keyboard companies" are different levels of wack
reject kb companies and make your own 😎
I’ve had my frog for way too long
give it some dcs blue boom, yes
@tacit wing if ur up u recommended the fifne k669 mic and it still does what my other one does and cuts out while im talking
if thats the case then its probably not a mic hardware issue
try Windows Voice Recorder
or audacity
check your input levels
check for noise gates in whatever software you use, if discord change the input mode in voice and video and manually set input sensitivity as the auto does not work very well with good mics
anyone know any good wireless mics that i can use and are fairly cheap
i hate the headset i have rn
like wireless and does not pick up everything that comes out of your ear peice part
bc the steelseries i have rn echoes like crazy bc it picks up everything someone says or i hear
I never knew there are wireless mics and I use a Blue Yeti Mic
whats a good keyboard that is relatively cheap with media keys
anyone know why my headset mic not working>?
Define cheap
Under 100 aud
it's hard to find a good keyboard for so little but corsair makes nice ones for cheap. It looks like the K55 from corsair is less than 100 though. I have the K60 and that one is very nice but a bit out of your price range.
i personally dont trust anything Corsair outside of PSU's and Cases
even in the mouse game, theyre a 1000 years behind everyone else
at the moment i am using a dell kb1421 for my keyboard
and i like it but i want a backlight and media keys
my keyboard doesnt have dedicated media keys but its software enables any key to be rebinded into media keys
any software from any of the big wig brands i assume have the same feature
hmmmmm
why dont u just use layers @tacit wing
Reason: Bad word usage
and not get a bad corsair
why would i use third party solutions if first party solutions exist
layers arent a 3rd party solution
i mean
u can just buy a keyboard with a knob
if u desperately need volume/media control that badly
well the dudes budget is 100 aud
thats like 70 bucks
not impossible to find one
oh wait sorry idk why i pinged u i thought u were the one looking
@gritty kettle read above
i remapped my keys so i dont have to use the FN key
jus have a kb for each layout and youll be good
I am confused, what is a layer
That doesn't help
FN + Function Key
Ah ok
different layers have different keys, basically
so u could have ur W key be page up on ur second layer
so u press fn + w and get page up
Oh, that sounds not nice
its not hard to get used to
Yeah but the reason I want media keys is so I only have to press 1 button
So I can get back to controller inbetween stocks
brawlhalla?
Ssbm
oh
just remap ur keys
Yeah but I use most of them
Like for extra controls in other games
One of my friends has a k95 that he wants to sell, would that be good?
if it makes u happy, yes
if you aren't keeb-pilled, literally any keyboard will work
if you want a gamer kb then id jus get a red dragon
you get what you pay for unlike most other big gamer companies that sell keyboards
p much the same experience minus as good software/support, but functionality is still there
redragon, hotswap rk, and keychron are one of the solid choices for under hundred bucks, more than that there's gonna be leopold and prob the new k8 pro as an option
k8 pro is via/qmk compatible
Well, this is interesting. I found headphones that are both wired and wireless in the same set of headphones, and the sound quality is better than even that of the Razer gaming headphones
- Many bt headphones can run in wired
- Almost all gaming headphones suck at audio quality
Yeah, but for $150?
razer also has a reputation of overpricing many of their products
These headphones. $150 price point. https://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/product/headphones/hdj-x5bt/black/overview/
For having good audio quality in games and for listening to music, how well would these work, and would they be worth the $150?
you can get a pair of akg K361 bts for that much if u care about bluetooth really
I'd use them far more frequently in wired mode at my computer. The bluetooth capability is nice for the very few times I'd get to use them out on the town through my phone, but I don't have very many opportunities to do that. It would be a good set to have for vacations and such, or when I'm at a friend's house and I want to listen to music, but otherwise I don't really do much music listening through bluetooth on my phone
if you looked at the akg k631bt ud see they can be used in wired and bt mode
K361 would have better drivers for using wired
drivers as in like the speaker driver, not software driver
so basically, you want a portable gear on the fly, which is basically what an iem is
don't think it's a nice thing to wear big ass cans outside as that's also hard to run
can run many iems on audio jack, or u can get some cheap dongle if the iem you're getting would like to have more amplification to sound better
there's also some notable tws out there though i'm not keen to those ones
Also some wireless IEMs if you're into those
with a mic?
ion really think they exist, ive been thinking about getting one, but i havent seen much that has caught my eye
well they exist, just not good ones
i think theres a wireless version of the cloud 2
wireless cloud 2s might actually be pretty good
for sure better than Logitech or corsair ones
pretty low bar
yeah i have heard that the cloud 2s are the best cheap "gaming" branded headsets
hmmm
The Pioneer DJ X5BTs have a built-in microphone for hands-free calling that works in Bluetooth mode
But 150 is cheap for pro-level studio monitoring headphones.
Yeah but the mic probably isn't great, that is the way that most wireless headphone mics are
What's a nice over ear closed back headset
I don't care about wireless because I just looked at pricing for some wireless ones
If you don't really care too much about quality, pretty much any gamer branded headset will do.
If you're looking for something to use for voice chat in games but also want good quality audio, unfortunately the only real way to go is a cartoid or condenser microphone and just get a good set of quality headphones.
Define good quality
I'm biased towards audiophile quality equipment like music studio stuff, which IMO, is better quality than any gamer-branded audio equipment.
But again, everyone has different opinions on what they consider good quality
Yes but what makes something better or worse
For audio, it's not as cut and dry as it is with graphics, so it's not as easy to say what makes one headset or brand better than another. The fact that many audio hardwares are built for different purposes; DJ headphones have a flatter response curve and may not be able to accurately reproduce game sounds, for example, while gamer headsets don't necessarily have the ability to reproduce a wide open Soundstage
Then you have audio processing technologies like Head Relative Transfer Function that affect both the quality of the sounds and the perception of the Soundstage
There's also Binaural technology and a bunch of other stuff.
@tight pulsar is there a certain way to clean og relegendables or jus throw em in soapy water like normal
bleach? might be alil trickier to work with tho
@timber ridge what part are you trying to clean?
i was gonna get some relegendables for cheap but it sold lol
it was a clean 8100 or some for 60
ah
Has anyone ever seen colored USB A to USB A cables?
White, blue, black tend to be pretty common colors..?
Yea, cant say ive seen blue. I have a fish tank controller that uses USB-A as a bus between probe modules. With a lot of modules its hard to trace all black/white cables. i was hoping there was a custom Manufacture i could get more cable colors.
One thing some people do is just put a sticker on, or a sticky note on, either colored, or with writing to identify each end, but I did find red and grey usb-a cables here
https://www.amazon.com/AINOPE-Rupture-Double-Compatible-Enclosures/dp/B08FTFL3QX/
and there's probably more out there that are just one color
Thank you
You're welcome
What are your guy's options on the sony linkbuds? They intreague me as i cannot put any type of silicon/foam tips in my ear without making them prone to infection/just uncomfortable in general
lol the mm post for maxf x tgr board is such a fun read
gotta grab them moolahs because there's people are actually dumb enough to join the raffle
@west hornet if you have recommendations for classical piano pieces to play i would appreciate some, my piano teacher wants me to find a piece i really enjoy and i dont know many pieces, and of the few i do know they are too difficuly
Hi beautiful people, I am trying to replace my Hard Drive. Is this the right chat ?? Thank you
might want to use #storage-devices , but what do you need?
I have a shot Seagate SATA 3000GB 7200 RPM. It came out of a Alienware Aurora R4. I am trying to get a new one that would work with my system but don’t know what to buy. Thank you!
should just be standard 3.5in sata drive, sad you got the 3tb barracuda, that drive had some pretty bad failure rates
Tbh idk too many easier pieces either xD but on a intermediate beginner ish level I’ve really enjoyed playing the rach prelude op 3 no 2. Chopin nocturne op 72 no 1 is a popular first chopin piece if you into that
chopin is nice
funny to see the reactions compared to other tgrs being sold at 5k+ or even saying good price for 3k+, would rather give the designers money vs flippers
the rach one doesnt look any harder than some of the other pieces i was trying lol
my teacher will let me literally try anything
i tried chopin op 25 no 5 for a bit but its so fast
the rach actually looks manageable
Ye it’s not difficult note wise. The difficulty more in the dynamics id say, can also get pretty fast
Also relatively short
Go from ppp to sffff xD
i think i could play it at a much slower tempo
i just need to listen to more piano pieces
i listen to the same 20 or so classical pieces every day
i can't find many good copies but polovtsian dances sounds pretty nice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFKsSM4WG2g
Alexander Borodin (1833–1887) was a composer, doctor, and chemist. Felix Blumenfeld (1863-1931) was a composer, conductor, pianist, and teacher. Both men were Russian. The Polovtsian Dances are part of Borodin's "Prince Igor" opera. Blumenfeld's arrangements of them for solo piano were published in 1888.
Sheet Music:
IMSLP.org has this piece...
the flute melody is so much better but piano is pretty decent to transcribe into https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWU1uj9WmOM
The Polovtsian Dances (or Polovetsian Dances) are perhaps the best known selections from Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor (1890). They are often played as a stand-alone concert piece. Borodin was the original composer, but the opera was left unfinished at his death and was subsequently completed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Alexander Glaz...
i got u hold up
this is the piece im playing rn

ABOUT BACHSCHOLAR®: The BachScholar® YouTube channel was established in 2008 by pianist and ...
sonatina in c major by clementi
i think it sounds great and ive enjoyed playing it so far
The beginning and end I honestly take slower because it just feels right to me. On the agitato i still need to work on tempo
I will often have apple music or youtube go on autoplay as i listen to some
its decent, probably a little too easy for me though
😕
thanks tho
too long for how good I am
i have been playing for like 10 years but not really that seriously
so Im not that good
and i cant seem to progress much farther which is kind of sad
ive only played cello for like 2 years seriously and im already much better at cello than at piano
You gotta put in the hourrsss
yup
i dont think ive ever practiced for more than a 15 minute window directly before my lesson as i scramble to do my homework
probably have improved more in the last few months practicing trumpet seriously than last 5 years
sometimes i wonder how good i would be if i took it more seriously
Sometimes also force yourself to move forward, don’t stick to playing whatever you know continue to learn more always
my problem is i am bad at practicing
went from above the line g as higher note to high d on a good day, got much better at reading music as well
i dont practice effectively
The rach piece above I learn with 2 year experience on piano
getting a goal i actually wanted to achieve helps me with practice motivation
rn im trying to prepare my concerto for cello
I want to get back to trumpet one day
because my youth symphony is having a concerto competition
trumpet is very fun and not fun to practice
Lol
i need to really force myself to practice measures by themselvs
@west hornet how long did you play trumpet for?
I would say that is probably the biggest thing holding me back
Is difficult because I can’t say I love to practice everyday but I love when I can see I make progress no matter how small
~4 or 5 years in school but certainly did not practice enough
ah so basically me before i started practicing seriously lol
Haha
trumpet and baritone are much more fun to practice than trombone and tuba
I used to play tuba very long time ago
Playing wind instruments smh
trumpet is fun to practice until you get to the upper register
i just played it on my own because its fun
but played everything else in band at one time or another
I played trumpet in band class. I could hit a whole octave higher than the teacher lol. I played tenor sax too but I was better at trumpet.
Ye I do remember upper register being pain
shaking my head imagine not being able to play 4 octave scales on your instrument
Piano moment
Mint GPX with Kailh GM2.0 Teals
lmao
I used to play piano but I thought it was boring so I switched to drums
😦
piano is very fun
I love how expressive you can be with it

Yeah I was like 11
understandable
I can’t even begin to explain how much we are about to change the keyboard game.
It leaves me speechless every time I use it.
the only changing is if they collabed to some actual keyboard designer
u guys see gmk got a new color matching machine
itll be a hyte 2.0 or something stupid
are they still talking about their dumb keyboard
more than likely itll just be certain materials that arent mainstream rn
and just color waves to match the starlight color waves they have rn
A keyboard with holes
Turns your whole room into the case—totally game changing
Make a whole keyboard out of NK big switches
Already done basically
Aw
Google Reddragon something alien super big
I forget the numbers
K605
NOT BIG ENOUGH
Just got a USB PCIe expansion card and was wondering if its ok not to install the company's drivers for it?
It shows up in device manager fine and functions. When I attempt to install the vendor drivers it says it can't find the host controller and aborts install.
i mean you optiomally want the drivers
but if its working youi should be fine until something just doesnt work
it also may run slower
yeah i tried installing it from device manager too but it keeps saying the best driver is already installed
it could of auto installed
windows tries to find drivers and install them
wireless gaming mouse recommendations for <50$
Orochi might be close
i have a 5 yr old $50g gamestop gift card that I havnt used so 50$ max
G305 might be your only option then
Not too familiar, it's older
my problem with my current mouse is when i move it very fast it doesnt register, it was a $15 logitec that I got like 6 yrs ago
do you know what is your grip type?
there is a pinned message for how to determine it
Razer's X series are like their budget wireless lineup with the caveat that they use Double A batteries
you can use Triple A converter to drop the weight a bit but yeah I can vouch for the X lineup as well as Orochi and G305
also there is the Delux M800 if you want a Viper Mini Clone thats wireless
those are what I suggest for <$50
m800 could use the skate swap
and there is another ergo shape budget mouse floating around for about the same price
forgot the name
I ended up going with the G305
good mouse
i'm using the orochi v2 after using the g305 and went back to the g305 because the hump on the orochi v2 was getting annoying
i was gonna try the orochi but i somehow made the jump to the sl phantom
can someone help me figure out what switches i should get
at this moment im looking at ink blacks (gat)
or maybe the akko silver
yes
no
perhaps
inks ain't worth
ok
yea
i ended up asking in a few disc
and thats what i have heard from all of them
ktt (akko cs manu) and the jelly lineup seems nice for how much it asks
I wouldn’t buy inks
not fully but budget is around $50 usd for switches
im more thinking of akko rose reds now
or maybe milk yellows
or akko sliver
Just make sure u lube 👍
yep
i got a friend who has built one and is going to help with stuff like that
also is bag lubbing ok?
like for springs?
It can work with smth like krytox 105, thicker lubes may not work
akko will give you a better stock experience
Yes just for springs
Imo I like rose reds
Is the orochi good?
If not for the hump?
It’s like holding a boiled egg for a mouse
If you like small mice with a hump then yeah, it’s good
I in car, will get back later
ok wireless or wired? do any preference in terms of sound signature? like bass, mid, or treble preference
sadge, ghosty left you hanging
sorry i forgot, went to do something
The blessing2 dusks seem pretty nice but are out of budget. 2 popular choices are the Moondrop Kato and the 7Hz Timeless ~200usd @dire tartan
wireless honestly probably airpods pros or something
seeaudio yume are a bit mid centric iirc
hanas are nice too but i lowkey forgot their sound sig
think people said that yume has meh bass
and well ofc the crin collab would usually have a certain part elevated
mid centric gear usually dont have have crazy bass
unless it has a weird w shape sound sig or some
they described it as fart like bass
its midcentricness makes me want to try it more though, just dunno where to actually find some to demo on
My pc/modded client doesn't connect to LAN, there are no drivers for the LAN port
How do I install them if there is no connection...
?
Do I have to install drivers on another pc and then put the driver file into the client-pc?
If yes, how do I know which LAN the client-pc has?
SOLVED EVERYTHING... pretty ez
is 6xx+modi3/asgard3 still a good rec for $500ish desktop setup
if warm is your preference, yes
Asgard is still top pick for <$200 if youre in the US
though i would consider looking into pre-owned HD650's/600's before pulling the trigger on a new 6xx since the MSRP went up due to inflation
albeit you need luck to get a better deal
oh i was looking at used stuff
take into account the price of new pads as well
how important would it be to get new pads?
would it be fine to use ones that came with it assuming they're in okay condition or better or just get new ones asap
Depends on your preference 🙂
most say that anything other than stock pads ruing that sweet sweet 650 sound
tbh, they're a bit uncomfy if brand new depending on your head
but they will flatten out
I still use and have always used the stock pads on my 6XXs but that's just preference
flat pads will make the Senheisser 6 series veil memes kinda true (which isnt necessarily a bad thing)
its a lil shaved off up top and def warmer as your pads go flat
always depending with the listing but some might come with pads that are barely used if youre lucky
simply strech the diameter of your ear canal to fit the diameter of the driver
Yes
What companies make good headsets?
it isn't really specific to a company
Sennheiser pc37x or 38x is pretty good.
Sennheiser makes good and bad stuff
There's just specific headphones that's good for a specific price
I used to have some abysmal Sennheiser IEMs
Like a stethoscope because you would hear when the cable brushed against anything
I feel like that has more to do with cable design
Any closed back headphone or iem is gonna have some handling noise
yeah probably because that also happened with the $20 wollies earphones that i got before those
dont buy the monolith m1060s :(
Alright so y’all gotta hear me out
continue
I got this SK61 from like 2 years ago
I got some extra money and I was thinking of getting some new switches and key caps to spice it up
So basically use the sk61 as a base
I was thinking of Gateron optical browns and key caps don’t really matter right? This is my first project in 2 years lmao
Well, optical switches aren't the greatest and you don't have many options, so Gateron browns probably won't really be an upgrade for you
But you could swap around keycaps if you want
peep the size dif lol
whoa
My pro 2 came into today
nice
huh
huh
me personally id go with the aeron but if youre a bit more wide or have wider thighs, itd probably be better to go with the leap v2 since the aeron has kinda aggressive curves on the sides where your thighs would rest

thoughts on 1000hz vs 125hz mouse polling rate?
been thinking about it
seems like a huge gimmick
would rather do 125 to save mouse battery life
1000hz is techincally best but its more like the arguments of 5ms vs 1ms with monitors. 1ms is possible and technically better granted 1000hz vs 125hz there isnt much bad with 1000hz like there is with 1ms monitors
Depends what you play really. Snap shooting fps, high polling rate is nice. Anything else... Ehhhhh not important.
would you think 500hz would be good enough?
hell thats twice as fast as my monitor
theres no way 1000 would have any real benefit over 500
theoretically i suppose
500 would be fine for most people yeah
Finalmouse UL2 Cape Town is fixed to 500hz and you can't change it
and numerous pros still use that mouse
if its good enough for them then its fast enough for anyone
TBF they're probably sponsored and don't have much choice in mice
But yeah it's fine
no in this day and age majority of pros arent bound to their sponsored gear
look at Astralis CS
Really? Alright, that's a step in the right direction
theyre sponsored by Logitech but majority of use Zowie mice
its been that way for a long time
Well it's been a few years since I followed any esports
when it comes to the actual competitions the league itself tend to be bound by sponsors but for the pros themselves they really arent bound to use specific stuff for the most part
in the recent valorant pro tournament, one of the pros was using a mousepad that was barely up for pre-order
was it one of the LGG pads
ye
I never got the whole deal with mousepads. I used an old Microsoft branded one from like 2006 for ages until it started to fall apart. Now I use one from my local 5 Below.
i kinda want a Saturn but i already have a Zero
mousepads arent as big compared to the mouse but they def do help at times
and i can get i dirty and wash it and replace it for 15 dolla
im currently saving up to try and buy 2 different mousepads this year
the feet on the bottom of my mouse are smooth enough, i need to have some friction on my mouse surface lol
LGG Jupiter
lmao
It won't be a brrrt so much as a screeeee
would it be better if it were wet?
do this; its giga brain
yeah u have seen lame "fast" mousepads but none of them hold a candle to my creation, the fastest mousepad ever no cap

I don't have audio on, is that flour?
no, its glass beads
And that doesn't mess with the sensor? lol
that moment when you cant afford a Shidenkai
sensors are good enough in this day and age where just about nothing messes with them really
that moment when you can afford to rip the coating off the shidenkai 💀
i play 75cm/360 and i have no choice but to use a control pad
need that stopping power
I think the beads were just for the video and he obviously/probably doesn't play w/ that mess. Although it's so much of a mess that perhaps he does.
ye he did it as a meme but was just sending it to falcie because of his message as to how he never understood mousepads
Same
thing with Boardzy is that he is by far the most satirical reviewer on the tube
but you can easily tell if a video is serious or a meme
yeah just wonder how good the mouse ft are w/o the beads exaggerating it. Some of us are content w/ a plain pad & normal mice ft to perhaps smooth aiming a tad bit or something. 👍
I'm aware of how odd/stupid this question will sound in this day and age, but does anyone know of a standalone enclosure that fits at least 3 5.25" bay inserts?
All I can find are enclosures with a single 5.25" bay and for the sake of brevity, I'll just say those aren't compatible.
Just to be clear, I'm not talking about pc cases with 5.25" bays, I'm talking about a small box whose sole purpose is to contain at least 3 5.25" bay inserts.
I've been having trouble finding anything compatible for about a year or two and I genuinely need it, so I thought I'd ask around here in case I'm missing something.
SCSI External Case 4 Bay with 250W Power Supply with great price and the best service at Circotech.com
theres an option for black there as well
somehow the cloud 2s are the least bassy headphones i have listened to
do the earcups change the sound at all?
for those i highly doubt it
guys does this setting in pointer options matter when it comes to gaming?
That's essentially a software dpi switch. Too high can be buggy. Too slow is... Too slow.
ah ok but like when playing games, it wont do anything basically tho right?
since you dont see your cursor when playing games
or?
also do you or anyone know the default settings for these before i press on one by mistake 😂
It'll change the speed of the cursor even if the cursor isn't visible
ah ok i guess ill keep it at default then
what about the thing i showed you, do you know its default?
or how to set it back to default?
There's nothing to really mess up there, it's just preferences.
Default is what it's on in the pic
i know but i clicked on the cursor speed by mistake
and i dont think thats the default
it says 12
oh thank you
sorry Fal'Cie, but do you know if what he did is correct in this specific part? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phWz_k2P_S4&t=553s

Mouse settings are highly personal. Don't just copy someone else, you might end up worse off than you started.
Turning off certain settings can help with latency though
It's not noticeable by most humans though lol
ah ok 😂
also another thing, hopefully this isnt pretty laughable but, i want to play with 800 dpi, but when i play fortnite, there is something annoying me, basically lets say i got a weapon, and i want to change it between slots, the mouse feels so fast that i put the weapon in the wrong slot or something mistakenly
is there a way to like slow that cursor from doing something like that, but also having 800 dpi?
There's mice like the logitech g502 hero (nice mouse for starting out) that have buttons to change dpi on the fly, and the g502 in particular has a "dpi shift" button that only changes the dpi while you hold it.
ah dang that sucks, i own a finalmouse air58, and im not planning on changing it
but thats alright i guess
ill get used to it
Finalmouse doesn't have programmable buttons right? You could still create a macro but that's less convenient.
nah finalmouse isnt that great when it comes to that, heck i cant even change the dpi to whatever i want, i only can choose between 400, 800, 1600, 3200
unless Epic adds a seperate sens slider for cursor, you have to get used to it
or drop ur dpi down to 400
keep this slider in the middle
untick the box the says enhance pointer precision because that is mouse acceleration built into Windows
ah ok, ill do that thank you
unticking that box enables raw input
yeah thats why i want to do it, i feel like im not getting the best from my mouse
Bruh, thank you
you can use software that works with fm
but some ppl say it makes the mouse worse bc youre no longer using what fm tuned it for
Hi there I am looking to buy a new headset as the one I have now is really glitchy and google will not play audio through it. Any suggestions
I would use it for gaming so surround sound is quite important
on a moderate budget the pc37x and 38x have been good options
Do note surround sound on headphones suck for gaming, stereo still gives better sound and better information through sound, headphones will good sound stage will allow you to hear directions well in stereo and surround, but sound better with stereo
now I want to setup a 5.1 or 7.1 speaker system for gaming
Which would u guys recommend from the Qc35ii and Xm3?
i like the tuning of the Bose more, the Sony's got more bass bloat but the ANC is better
Hello, I just got finished with completely building my first desktop pc and am having a posting issue, I don't know why. About 10 mins ago I got my PC to post, I went into the BIOS and noticed that my CPU fan wasn't detected right, so I looked in the case (through the tempered glass) and also noticed that 1 of my RAM cards wasn't turning on. So I turned off the power through both case button and the PSU switch, unplugged everything attached to the case, I re-checked and corrected the CPU fan and RAM cards. I now go to plug everything back in. The Mobo lights up when PSU is switched on, and RGB lights come on, but the same monitor doesn't detect the PC anymore and doesn't post anything. Same cables used as before, Monitor works fine, and nothing is broken in the PC. I'm stuck and out of ideas as to why it won't post....
Could blame the ram stick, take a stick out and test again
Clear cmos might also help in general

U fook with the n700nc m2’s ? People say those good too, would u say they match up gainst qc35 n xm3?
oh you did your homework
by far the best sounding bluetooth headphones with ANC
albeit worse ANC than Bose and Sony
Okok. So those the move then😳😳😳
if you prioritize sound over general features, yes
Have u tried em out personally? If u have em ive also seen mixed reviews regarding the quality as they seem to degrade overtime and wanted ur input on that. Also i aint rly too worried Nc, but i do think it has noice transparancy which i hope it does cuz lowkey wanna have the option to hear others without takin em off
personally no, i have owned a K361 though
but yeah, from people i trust they say the same thing, the build quality is kinda lack luster
tried yes, owned one no
Ok i got u.. So… what ur saying is… they will make my ears cream 😳😩
sigh it was the RAM sticks...thank you lol.
Unfortunate, but that is just how things are sometimes
Afaik Aria and Kato are still good
if you dont need the ANC, sure
i need bluetooth
mostly going to be used in school lol
do you happen to have a link to them for amazon? amazon is being amazon and it isnt showing up
ah
Moondrop Sparks TWS True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth 5.2 APTX Sport Dynamic in-Ear Earphone (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094NJ67H5/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_D27JSK9PA3HMT44WDV6J
I did a dumb
ty
for some reason I thought the name of Moondrop, the company, was Moonsparks, and was then thinking about moondrop iems
fortunately im not
The Bluetooth on moondrop sparks are a little Finicky but it’s not unusable
For example, if you repeatedly take only one of the earbuds out by itself a couple times the other will un pair from it then you have to do this pairing process again
And the manual is really bad at teaching you how to do it
But they sound really good so it’s probably worth it
do you have any other reccs?
I also only use one at a time usually, as long as you use the same one it’s fine
You can also just take both out and put the one you are not using back in the case after they connect
I’m not an expert so I don’t know if any
alr ill take a look around
ty
anyone have opinions on these? reviews seem good from various places https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XBJVKG9?tag=georiot-us-default-20&th=1&psc=1&ascsubtag=tomsguide-us-4921534522626930000-20&geniuslink=true
wf1000xm3 tuning is good

regarding mech kb again
i wanted to ask if a $100 kb is a good one to buy prebuilt
Which one?
this thing
Eh, ducky is meh, would like hotswap
lemme find a hotswap one
Womier k66 maybe
Depends on grip and hand size and etc, also, budget?
budget is not an issue rn
that $70 kb you mentioned helped
but mr1111 what make and model do you suggest for the mouse?
I mean, lots and lots of possibilities with different grips and such, for wireless, smth like rvu, gpw, g502, g305, orochi v2, whatever fits your grip the best
