So I currently have a keyboard with generic blue switches. They’re very loud, but soo much better than the two membrane keyboards a used to have. I am an aggressive keyboard typer, I always press until they bottom out. I found a keyboard with black switches. Do you think it will work well for typing papers as well as games and regular internet browsing?

Personally I am a fan of Clicky or Tactile switches for typing, and Linears for gaming. But, you can realistically do any task with any type of switch. If you think a heavier switch helps you type better, then Gateron Blacks or Cherry Blacks are a heavier Linear switch than their Red counterparts.

Another alternative to buying a keyboard with soldered switches is to buy a board like a Keychron with Hotswappable switches so you can buy different switches to try out on the board.

And you can use that opportunity to Lube the switches to improve the feel

Keep in mind black switches are usually pretty heavy in terms of how much force you need to press it down, and can get tiring if you type a good amount

the reason is I found a quite cheap generic keyboard at a yard sale. It’s been taken good care of, no scratches, no dust, has all the key caps. It’s hot swappable too. Currently has blacks in it, and I think rgb lights cause there’s a little clear thing about each switch. I haven’t tested it, but it’s literally a dollar, I don’t care xD

Jwicks are basically cheap JWK-manufactured switches but chronically out of stock since everyone loves them. Also good prelube.
Strictly comparing the two, I would get the KTTs. Less stem wobble and from what I’ve heard slightly smoother.

Razer mice are not overrated. They have some of the best sensors I’ve ever used. Their optical switches are somewhat of a gimmick however the way you phrased it implicitly shows me that you have both a complete lack of understanding of how switches work and how mice work. Some Logitech mice and some HyperX mice are arguably better than Razer mice, however the fact that your friend’s mouse died indicates to me that he does not care for his products properly. Razer optical switches are both a marketing gimmick and a legitimate feature.

i have not heard of the speakers but by lookings im assuming you would connect the pair with that 4 pin port and connect the main speaker to pc with either a 3.5mm to rca adapter, spdif or usb if that's a digital in i see on the speaker, or if you had a dedicated speaker amp with rca outputs
