i don't want to go as far as saying no one would buy it because ya never know what can happen in the future. I could see it possibly working just not atm
The term 7.1 was made for actual Speakers, not Headphones.
just because you can theoretically do something that should theoretically be the best, doesnt mean it is. thats the way it is with the vast majority of DACs over 300 or so dollars
or 1000 dollar HDMI cables
yeah, its better, but
is it?
Just buy the razer tiamat guys its the best pair of headphones from what skiptrace has been saying
HDMI is just digital, as long as the snr is low enough and you don't have crazy latency you're fine
Clearly you haven't read what I have been saying.
my point exactly
Because I just said that 7.1 in Headphones isn't even what the term "7.1" was designed for.
no, you buy the 1000usd hdmi cable for rgb
It has good clarity, sound staging, and a low noise floor
real question is how long is the 1000usd hdmi cable
Honestly, I'd like having RGB on my HDMI Cables. It'd be useful to keep track of what item is plugged into what cable.
longer than the actual HDMI spec bc its so good
The Tiamat is... not good for any of those things...
.
multiple drivers in each year means sound comes from different places in space
so how is it not the best pair of headphones skiptrace?
It's muddy because it has too much bass, and it's super closed in feeling, likely due to all of the drivers they crammed into it.
idk exactly but at a certain length cables like those get very pricey very fast
Muddy? Closed in?
but sound coming from different places gives great soundstage
I've listened to them for a couple of hours. They are Electronic waste at best.
Sounds like preference
It isn't.
That's an objective listen, compared to the "referee" of headphones the HD600
How is saying something sounds closed in objective
Because it sounds like you are listening inside of a tin can. Nobody in their right mind thinks that sounds good.
soundstaging would be the space the sound has, some headphones you can hear a "shape" to the sound, are you in a square room, a theatre, or does it feel like speakers on top of your head. imaging would be more where the sounds appear to come from, more locational
but thats only 2 speakers so all sound comes from same place... bad sound stage right?
Reminds me of another question
closed headphones can still have big soundstage
the tiamats are clearly better
Can you like not? I've literally said why this is wrong like, at least 10 times.
Why is it that when you make a frequency response graph you usually do it in open air?
so u lied here?
I didn't lie.
youre joking right?
found this somewhere a while ago
or do you not know the definition of the word "effect"
but according to what you said all stereo headphones have bad soundstage compared to the tiamats
You can have the effect of sound coming from different spaces without needing multiple drivers.
No I didn't.
yep I am
good
The Tiamats, due to the way they are designed, can't actually provide the benefits of having 7 drivers and a sub. I don't know the exact details because I'm not an audio engineer, but I just know they don't actually provide any real benefits compared to a good pair of stereo headphones.
I want my von Karajan to sound like it's coming from in front of me, that's soundstaging
I know dw
If the Tiamats were designed well, they COULD be an interesting look at how "7.1" Headphones could work.
what has happened here
ok next topic, what anime should i watch
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
DrAgOn bAlL
No

I'm watching Naruto and demon slayer next
I guess some people have no taste.
was pretty nice
I gotta watch fma too
It's fine on its own, but you just can't compare it to the original
Due to it being made AFTER the manga was finished.
FMA the original had to make up it's own ending.
Because the Manga wasn't finished.
I'm fine with that
Therefore making it a worse adaptation, and most would say the worse of the 2 shows.
I actually haven't read any Manga
I'm a new weeb
Most of the animes I've watched are dragon ball z and s, seven deadly sins, AOT, bleach, and a few others
sad
I don't really care about if it's an accurate adaptation honestly, I don't read the mangas
death note master race
i just read i want to eat your pancreas recently
Can't remember the others rn
was very nice
big mistake, they are typically so much better
death note and one punch man are my favourites tbh
Oh yeah I've seen one punch man but I think that's gonna be the first Manga I read
oo i never finish one punch season 2
Since there's barely any on tv
opm manga ok honestly
I've never been a fan of graphic novels or manga, idk
you know mob psyco 100
bob time to read manga
Ever miss one day of school and come back to feeling like you missed EVERYTHING?
Because that's what's happening rn
picture is pretty
Yeah...
bob watches dub anime??
hmm maybe i should edit my pics now
But words are comfy
Though the voice actors in dbz up until the cell saga suck
Okay, serious question time
Like completely awful
no one can say no to howl's moving castle dub
In the Dub they are all the same VAs throughout the entire series.
Although, they do get better throughout.
Well the voice acting is awful anyways
When you watch something with subtitles and you go back and remember things about it do you remember the characters talking in English or the original language?
hmm
that question make my brain hurt
That's a good question. There's some anime i've done a re-watch with between English and Japanese. But, Most of them I only do Dub or Sub and never pick up the other side.
For some reason I remember that actor's voices but speaking in the subbed language
remember the voices of original words of the english, i mostly remember by key things i see or specific melodies and such, I have trouble with verbal language
as a speed reader, i can handle sub pretty well
some people are slower readers, so dub is fine
I read throughout all of middle school, I can read it fast enough but i just don't enjoy it
I haven't watched past the bounds in bleach bc of it
There are exceptions to that, if they say words I know I remember them speaking in the original language
any yall know Vulfpeck? they kinda remind me of a mix of jazz and modern pop, idk what theyre actual genre is, but theyve got some banging instrumentals
Best band is ajr, I refuse to take criticism
AJR high on the list
Holy christ someone actually knows them
Didn't think it was possible
last weekend
dope
I normally can't do concerts due to sensory issues, but it was outdoors
aww that sucks
Like the big (letter) fair or smthn?
Big f maybe?
Idfk I'd have to ask my brother or smthn
anyway
Vulfpeck - Conscious Club (Instrumental)
Jack Stratton — composer, drums, guitar, keyboards
Theo Katzman — composer, vocals, drums, guitar
Woody Goss — composer, keyboards, vibraphone
Joe Dart — composer, fender bass
Richie Rodriguez — composer, congas
Be Hussey — engineer
Tyler Duncan — engineer
Drew Fischer — engineer
Pete Min — engine...
kinda goes hard
Did you know Ajrs last name is Metzger, which is why they said "now now go by met, is that less lame, of a last name"
I think their dad is jewish?
bruh Metzger is a dope ass last name
how is that lame smh
but no i did not know that
Yeah I think it's sick
I don't want to wear earphones i can only use in 10 minute intervals cuz the irritate my ears ;-;
I had to use headphones that don't touch my ears
Luckily I have relatively small ears
Earbuds are worse for me
I didn't say you had to buy uncomfortable headphones that purely sounded good.
Earbuds or IEMs? There's a difference.
Earbuds sit outside the ear canal, IEMs go inside the ear canal.
What about people with tinnitus ;-;
Well, that's just ear damage, so... you can't really do anything about that.
You might try Koss KSC75's
They have an ear-clip that just rests on your ear.
How much are they? I don't wanna break my bank for a pair of earbuds lol
idk if ksc's would be the most comfortable
25 bucks
id much prefer wearing the porta pros for long periods of time
They basically rest on your ear.
And they are so light that you can forget you are wearing them.
It was the big E
You said "why care about anything else. It's a thing that generates sound"
I think you can get the context. I never said to buy something that is un-usable for you due to comfort constraints.
Still, a significant part of the population have it soo why would perfect silence matter to everybody
I mean, it's still nice to have a super low noise floor. No reason not to design headphones to have a low noise floor just because Tinnitus exists.
The noise can affect the music.
Just saying it's not as big of a problem as you think it is
Kinda is though
Depends on the type actually
yall need to chill a bit lmao
150wpm for like a 15 word sentence lel
I like the quote tho
and to follow that up, a huge quote
same
Drop holy pandas still 1$ a switch, sad things
F
(saw an email about 'discounts' on the holy pandas, turns out it went from like 1.2$ a switch to 1$ a switch, trash deal to bad deal...)
thats why you ahouldnt get drop holy pandas
on top of other things
Yea, not getting them, still prob planning on u4t with next keeb of mine
is there any good as is switches that are worth over a dollar
by as is I mean pretty good lubed and filmed
without some catch
tealios are k I guess still too much
zealios are same story
holy pandas are lubed for you so you have to wipe off to lube yourself
only 1 dollar switches I can think of lol
looks like tips maybe
They're not worth over a dollar
Maybe there's others like holy panda
Since holy panda is combo of switches
the most I can imagine spending is 75 cents per switch if its worth it
I mean you might make a switch with stems from a 60c switch and housing from another 60c switch
something like creampacas
I consider that different
spending that much for frankenswitches makes sense because its 2 different switches in the case of the zealpc switches and holy pandas its sold as one product
to even try to charge $1.20 for good but very overpriced tactile is just wrong
apparently they're filters
unlucky
Those are IEM Filters. You replace them when they get gummed up with Earwax.
You can also just make sure to clean your ears, and remove the filters entirely.
They shouldn't affect the sound, but some people are paranoid.
Anyone know why my lucidsound lx50 won't charge? Or how to fix the issue? I just bought them last week, and while they show charging, they won't actually hold the charge
you might've gotten a bad pair
might be worth contacting lucidsound and asking about it
one week should be return time yeah?
The other problem with them is, even with my warranty, I still have to pay shipping
Not that I'm aware of, though I've rarely had issues with most items I've bought
yeah already figures that out
i bought a capture card rip my wallet
true tho
im going to stream my school smash team games
had to make this diagram to explain to my teacher how a capture card works
only problem is that i have way too many usb connections
I bought one for like, 30 bucks. The output has some line noise, but I filter it out in post.
And it might also be a ground loop...
It's a capture card, it almost definitely is
Im playing competitive smash with mine and I dont want to have any extra input lag added.
so i got an elgato one
mouse = display
mouse = vibrate
mouse = good
it does
Or cause you to click the wrong thing.
Like bad tracking causing the cursor to vibrate or actual physical vibrations?
physical
when i press alt tab or get a discord notification
what mouse
Sorta like a controller?
rival 710
Honestly I can sorta see that being desired
I'm intrigued, but I'm not sure if I'd actually want it
Just a normal mouse which will give you true feeling of gun firing in games. #gaming #recoil #mouse

bruh that moves the mouse
i never want to build a 3 pin half plate build again
plateless 3 pin hotswap pls
i had a millmax one like that on my carmen but it has the plate rn
I feel like that's kinda cheating
You guys have any monitor suggestions for 144hz between 200-300?
Does it matter if its curved from your guy's expereince?
I personally hate curved
good desk mics to pair with a k371? for gaming and streaming. under $100 would be nice but i'm a little flexible
Samson Q2U. Done.
Anyone know if i should go woth a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor, or a 27" 240hz 1080p monitor that comes with a free aoc gaming mechanical keyboard?
Battlefiepd 2042, warthunder, halo infinite multiplayer, maybe warzone idk, r6s
I am getting a 6700xt
With a 5600x
I should ask this in #old-monitors-and-tv shouldnt I
Yeah i will
For streaming def get a Q2U
It won’t pick up stupid background noise and works with like any boom arm
Thanks anyway
nice
Q2u or elgato wave if that fancies you
About the only thing those are good for is Isolation.
And, I've never even heard of Sennheiser making microphones.
what is a good cheap wireless headset
That's an oxymoron, within an oxymoron.
Good, Cheap, and Wireless all conflict.
Well, Good and Wireless is already conflicting.
Wireless loses audio quality, both on the mic and the headphones.
you get what you pay for
It's a lossy transmission method.
nvm then
Good implies that it isn't absolute trash.
And Cheap typically implies anywhere under 100 dollars.
Maybe even lower than that if your definition is different.
also ur budget is more important than cheap
whats cheap for you wont be the same as whats cheap for other people
^^^^^^^
Is Xiaomi Mi 1C good?
Um
You know wireless bandwidth can be just as high as USB bandwidth, right?
It's still lossy.
So is USB
A Wire doesn't incurr loss.
A Wireless Signal travelling through the air can incurr heavy losses due to electromagnetic interference in the air.
Wires can incur plenty of loss
USB is Digital, however it isn't lossy.
Maybe if the cable is incredibly poorly made there's loss over USB.
But, for there to be Loss over a Digital Wired Signal, you'd literally have to have an incorrect Off or On state.
Since Digital has 2 states, Off and On.
And, it's incredibly rare for you to have Loss in a Digital Signal since it's significantly easier to... not have loss in the first place.
It's incredibly rare because the communication protocols are made to be fault tolerant
Not because it doesn't happen
I never said USB had No Loss. Because that's impossible, there ARE errors in digital data, but for the intents and purposes of Digital Audio, most Wired connections are considered Lossless.
Wireless can be just as lossless then
Wireless Digital Audio though is, almost never going to be lossless.
No? You can't control Electromagnetic Radiation in the Air anywhere NEAR as easily as you can over a wire.
There is no difference, you can have the same bandwidth, the same error correction
There IS a difference though. The lack of Wires inherently adds complexity and loss into the equation.
It's a digital signal, if you have strong enough EMI in the frequency band to interfere with a wireless signal to the point where you lose enough bandwidth to impact audio quality you have serious issues
Or you have... a normal situation...
2.4ghz has so much overlap that it's stupid easy to have your Wireless Headset or Bluetooth Earbuds just drop quality because you're too close to enough other Wireless devices.
Skip, wireless audio is usually lossy because it's heavily compressed, not because of interference
Think about it, you can have multiple devices on WiFi, each pulling down close to a gigabit of bandwidth with no data corruption
Wireless communication is incredibly fault tolerant
The reason wireless is usually bad is that they have cheap transceivers that use lossy compression and garbage DACs
You get good transceivers and a good DAC and there is no reason a wireless headphone can't have the same signal quality as wired
i think i heard some company working on lossless bluetooth
i would imagine it would affect battery life
Apple has something like that, it definitely would
apple? do they? I only know that they started adding lossless to apple music but is apparently not compatible with their wireless products
I think the headphones can
ill have to take a look at that again
The airpods definitely can't, I remember the hullabaloo around that
i am perfectly fine with lossy wireless on airpods, only thing i don't like is anc and upper freq make it hard for me to wear for very long time
i had a pair of bt earbuds
tried using it in bathroom with my laptop in my room
it didn't lose any sound quality apparently
just loses signal when i get too far
no inteference
ye i can't do it long
i have somewhat of an idea why that may be but id have to do testing
It isn't just about the actual frequency the music is at. Hell, I listen mostly to 320k MP3s. But the quality of the drivers and the output is where my biggest concern is. Since that's what 80% of the audio experience comes from.
320kHz or 320kBps?
Is AOC 24G2U (144hz, 24", 1080p, 1ms) monitor good ?
I have rx 550 2gb but will upgrade it till new year i belive
320kbps, duh.
Aight, you were talking about it like frequency so I was a bit confused
I'm getting a new phone finally, and on top of that, a pair of Galaxy Buds Plus!

good wireless headphones, primarily long battery life but decent sound?
I want to just do stuff on my pc wireless
gaming, watching videos/movies
doesnt need a mic
mostly for sound and long battery life
but if you know of one with a very well concealed mic thats good too
Watch skiptrace come in and tell you to buy a dac and wired headphones
Wireless audio and PC is like, a headache and a half.
The only really "ok" option is getting a gaming headset.
There aren't really any good Wireless headsets I know of.
Bluetooth is just out of the question. It basically doesn't work for Audio on PC.
Is there any explicit reason it HAS to be wireless?
Because you could buy something like Creative Aurvana Live SEs and an extension cable if you just want to get up and do other things near your PC and still have audio
What
Are you ok?
Woot
MacOS is works fine.
I have NEVER had a Bluetooth Audio Device work properly on Windows.
Ever
Over multiple different audio devices and Bluetooth chips
And ur indicitive of each and every windows user ever
Wot
Ive used multiple pairs of even very cheap bluetooth headphones and they have worked well
U were probably doing something wrong
Lol
I wasn't.
🤡
There's nothing to "do wrong" with it. You pair the devices and they should just work
But they don't.
Bluetooth itself works marvelously
I can pair Controllers all day long.
Audio? Doesn't work. You either get Garbled Output, or No Mic
Or both!
Yeah
Sounds like an issue with you
...
Indeed
If I've done it on 3 different PCs entirely, with their own different Bluetooth chips. With 5 different devices, it isn't a Me issue. It's a Windows/Hardware/Bluetooth issue.
Maybe it’s a you issue
Coincidence yeah?
I know for a fact that plenty of people use crappy wireless gamer headsets with their computers
Are they crappy? Yeah
But they work
Heck my 30$ earbuds work better with windows than my iphone, samsung phone, my macbook and my hackintosh
Sound better too
Mic works as does everything else
All 5 of my different BT audio devices worked 100% fine on my Fiancee's MacBook Air from 2013. All 3 of my Windows devices with BT either got Garbled Output, or No Mic.
Maybe my Galaxy Buds Plus will change that trend.
You’re trying to tell us that an OS which has been around for a couple years apparently has an inherent issue connecting to Bluetooth audio and nobody has released firmware to fix it
And I'm not even giving them a "top tier" option
Exactly dude. How can you doubt our lord and savior @sly warren
Blasphemy
I'm giving Affordable, With good quality.
Unless someone explicitly says their budget, I only say the cheap options.
Ur giving what they never asked for
Lmfao
E.x KSC75, CAL SE, UR40.
Quite literally you suggested wired headphones when they asked for wireless
And they also didn't explain 100% why they want wireless
If you dont know good wireless headphones dont suggest
There aren't any good Wireless headphones for Windows except Gaming Headsets
Ur opinion
Keep it to urself
Let someone who actually knows what they are talking about help
You dont need to feed ur ego every time
skiptrace isnt here to give advice
I'm not feeding my ego
hes just here to repeat what he consideres "good"
It isn't my opinion when stuff literally fails to work if it's Bluetooth and Audio related
And I've encountered at least 10 other people with the same issues.
Out of 1.5 billion people who use windows regularly
Thats a massive issue no?
I have a wider set of data than just 1 isolated incedent. Therefore it isn't to just be thrown away.
If it was a single isolated thing to 1 machine I owned? I wouldn't have said anything.
There's nothing TO fix
I've done everything to attempt to fix it. Looked at forums for hours.
Nothing fixes it.
Install bluetooth drivers for ur adapter card
Maybe my 5 different Bluetooth audio devices are just broken somehow.
I did...
Im not an idiot.
I do basic troubleshooting. If I didn't, then you have full right to call me out on not doing something so basic as installing drivers.
I did a fresh install too, it fixed nothing.
Even Linux didn't help
If my new Galaxy Buds Plus don't fix it, then I'm going to just tell everyone to never use Bluetooth Audio on PC ever unless it's MacOS.
I mean, that's also not true.
Ur bluetooth adapter/card is garbo tier
No?
If linux didnt help
It's a TPLink Archer with an Intel Wifi 6 chip
its fine
Install macos on ur hardware and test it out before uttering garbage
Till then its ur hardware being garbage
Whats foolish about it
Google hackintosh
Hell, I'll bet MacOS doesn't even run on Ryzen CPUs
So, I couldn't do that if I wanted to
Hackintosh has a very slim hardware requirement list last I checked.
Suck it I run macos monerey on my ryzen 5 3600x
Natively
Thats the latest beta
Lmfao
Can confirm, or possibly an issue with windows
You'd lose that bet lol
He already did
All of 3 seconds to show I have done it
Ryzen chips are one of the more popular ones for hackintoshes
@sly warren What bluetooth chipsets did the computers have? Were they all the same?
I never am "online"
he has a 3080 for when hes using his pc normally
Ive personally hackintoshes a 3600x and an rx570
he was gonna use his old 560 but it borked
710 has nvidia drivers available on macos
16 series and up cant even display on macos
i didnt even think 900 series could
Amd cards are mostly all supported
Yeah literally disable the pcie slot used to hold non compatible card in bootloader config
Macos bootloader config that is
Otherwise no boot
Ive hackintoshed my pc, floppas pc and a friends laptop
wait i thought you were floppa lmao
In that case what do I win from that bet you had about ryzen not supporting hackintoshing?
Oooh do I get to choose
Fun!
Nothing? Satisfaction that I was wrong?
Oh ur wrong a buncha times. Its no longer satisfying
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
How about promise you won't talk about things you don't really know about as if you;re a world class expert anymore?
That'd be a nice prize
But I'm not talking about things I don't know about
You should stick to stand up comedy
Ur really good at jokes
Remember that conversation we had about wireless earlier today?
I have literal firsthand experience with the majority of things I talk about.
Good keep it to urself
Here we deal with facts
Lmao
I am dealing with facts.
The fact that Bluetooth audio on PC is hacky at best, and device specific at worst.
But WiFi Is LoSsY dAtA tRaNsFeR tHe BiTs CoUlD gO aNyWhErE
Ok. Its good on macos?
Have you considered making it work?
Install macos rn and check
Or checking proper compatibility of a product before ordering?
For a god of ur calibre it shouldnt be tough
I don't deal in MacOS unless I strictly need to for my Fiancee.
Translation- scared
2.4ghz has so much overlap that it's stupid easy to have your Wireless Headset or Bluetooth Earbuds just drop quality because you're too close to enough other Wireless devices.
And I just know from firsthand experience with her 2020 M1 Mac that BT Audio does "Just Work"
Yeah, integration in mac is nice
When you have a tight knit ecosystem like that you get to set the rules
I dunno, the overuse of ellipses is probably more dangerous to braincells
I've... literally overwhelmed a router by sending too many packets before.
CALLED IT
ITS STILL FUNNY
Based on what data
Yeah, you can do that, but on any decent router you have to try
Userbenchmark router test?
I could do the same thing to the backbone with enough packets
Take down the entire internet
@glad yarrow you ever been around for skip in general?
Apparently server PSUs are loud, did you know that?
Yeah
Apparently a 1200W platinum or titanium 12VO power supply needs a blowiematron to cool it
Who knew 🤷♂️
I wouldnt have guessed
This comes as news to me
We keep thinking that and it keeps not being dead
Nah, I was talking about how cheap you can get server PSUs if you just need power and don't need ATX
Skiptrace is a constant source of laughter in otherwise dull times
To be fair, he is getting better about things
Really? He used to be worse?!
Yes
Thats possible?
Yes
Oh wow
Yes
Guys, just stop please
meh skiptrace is just bad at consumer advice
my guy
I mean it's pretty easy to see what he likes but thats about it
a mod assist just asked for it to end
im just repeating what i've said before
What the hell happened when I was gone
anyone have some good recommendations for headsets under $50? mic not required
So headphones under 50$? Ksc75
for like gaming those look uncomfortable
They are fairly comfortable according to people who use it
Headphones under 50?
Yeah pretty much KSC75
Ur40 if you want a different aesthetic maybe
Although UR40s might float more around 50-55
Unsure
When you put them on, you might forget you are wearing them. That's how comfortable they are.
they wouldnt have much noise cancellation tho
What they lose in noise cancellation, they gain in the ability to hear sounds in the game from the proper direction.
If you've ever played Rainbow 6 Siege, you'll know of it's infamously poor Audio Engine and how bad it's Spatial Audio is.
KSC75 spits in the face of that and says "Here's the correct direction for that audio sir"
If you want noise cancellation you’re gonna have to step up the budget like $5 or $10 and get something like Creative Aurvana L!VE SE
But have way worse directional audio
So do you want noise cancellation or positional audio
You have to choose
positional audio
Then i'd buy KSC75X's and an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Dongle
And a USB-C To USB-A converter if you don't have any USB-C ports.
The KSC75X's have a mic on them
And the dongle is so you can use the Mic and Headphones easily on your PC.
And it has a nice little audio quality boost.
Ok
Why not?
Porta Pros are a bit eh. A little too muddy for Gaming from my experience.
UR40 are good, though fitment can be a bit funky, the earcups are kinda shallow.
hahaha no
I'm gonna have to ask you to sit down because, that was my literal experience with KSC75 vs PC37X's
That doesn’t mean that the KSC75 fixed the problem to be fair
It just means that it has better soundstage and imaging than PC37X
r6 audio is like super easy to understand unless u aint using headphones at all
plus nobody plays r6 in 2021
if u wanna see a game with bad audio play tarkov
ur 50$ headphones wont save you
There is a new one coming out though...
rainbow 7
Official Website. Play Rainbow Six Extraction a one to three player cooperative tactical first-person shooter. Assemble your elite team of Rainbow Six operators to launch incursions into the unpredictable containment zones and discover the mysteries behind the lethal and constantly evolving Archæns alien threat Coming January 2022 on PS4, PS5, X...
Looks pretty nice actually
looks terrible
if your concern is noise cancellation tbh there's some actual choices in iem side as i see
don't know so much but yeah sub $50 iems seems to float around more than it used to
some etymotic er2s perhaps?
that one with double flange eartips looks way more uncomfortable than wearing ksc75s lol
but for the most part people doesn't seem to have so much problems with it
otherwise it's just the budget who is the issue for low amounts of 'good' choices
saw the Razer Huntsman Mini on sale for 60 pounds, would you say its worth?
also do the astro a40's have good sound quality
what are some good headphones
/headset
preffered wireless
but can be used wired
I mean, if you ditch the Wireless need, KSC75's fit basically all ears.
ok
But, is there an upper limit as to how much you are willing to spend?
399 aud
Oh... AUD...
so like 250 usd i think
https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/collections/over-ear-headphones/products/sennheiser-hd-560s-open-back-headphones I'd recommend these also. You may have to go digging to find them though.
If you already had a DAC and Amp, I could recommend the ATH-R70X
i dont
But, I doubt you have a DAC and Amp if you are asking for Wireless gear.
But, the HD 560S is about the peak you can do without a DAC and Amp
Oh and here's a link to the KSC75's
not that
Why?
2 wires
i want it to cover my whole ear
Ok... Why? Noise isolation purposes? I'm a tad confused.
looks beter comfy
The KSC75 are like, the most comfortable pair of headphones I own, and I own a fairly wide swath of headphones.
You literally forget you are wearing them.
oh
what about the audeze penrose
yea that seems more suited to what i want
anything similar?
Penrose is... Ok at best. I wouldn't buy it because it's going to be heavy AF. Audeze uses Planar Magnetic driver technology, and on top of them being Wireless, the Planar drivers weigh more than a traditional Dynamic Driver.
so is there anything similar but butter
HD560S and a separate mic.
oh
You aren't going to get Better, with a Gaming Headset.
They are all effectively on the same level, except for the ultra-dirt-cheap stuff.
so it will sound better than my g935?
Oh hell yes it will.
HD560S are going to sound like a breath of fresh air compared to any Gaming Headset.
its pre order only
Yes, due to stock issues.
If you pre-order it, you can just wait for it to show up at your doorstep
Is it really worth 50 AUD more for it to show up faster?
probably not
because i need a mic too
https://www.amazon.com.au/Samson-Q2U-Dynamic-Microphone-Recording/dp/B0876TR1ZS/ref=sr_1_2 AUD Pricing is whack...
I'd normally recommend this mic to just about anyone, but jeez AUD pricing is whack.
under $50 mic
im using a g935 headset mic
so anything better than that
https://www.amazon.com.au/Microphone-Computer-Cardioid-Condenser-Professional/dp/B081RJ9PLP/ref=sr_1_2 This might come in right at 50 AUD. IDK
ok thanks
what echo or google nest should i get?
which speakers should i get? they need too be wirless or something that wall mountable and somehow i can connect it too the smart device

Clacky tactile I would assume
What 60% keyboard under 50 bucks is good to get?
if you can do 50 bucks exactly maybe rk61

i would shoot for rk61
ok thanks
clacctile is the most cursed term ever
@daring zenith

im just sad that i want a frog build, can afford a frog build, but won't buy one because I realize that 500 dollar keeb as a 15 year old without a job is dumb
just get a mrsuit and let it sit there
bruh
why "bruh"
what do you mean "sit there"
ahh
to be true enthusiast
its just frog but different
380
you are right im supposed to be poor
Owlabs has had some pretty scuffed drops
honestly i would consider buying board like frog if not for 50 dollar shipping
fbtkl
sits at $205
iirc top and gummyworm mount
like scarlet
they have confirmed pricing? i thought all that was said was that it was cheaper than 8x
think so, didn't got the infos myself
o gg
i might sell my scarlet b4 i even build in it
i wanna try to pick up the owllab tkl and ima most likely buy a kb my friend is making
sheesh
so pcb is somewhat univ tkl 🤔
but gummyworm oring mgiht not let it unless the work of the pcb for the oring is done through the case itself
prob same pcb as scarlet
hope i can sell mine, fbtkl and scarlet extras/v2 might screw me over
I am regretting not modding my stabs, but I'm too lazy to go back and do it now
depending on how the mrsuit tkl sounds with half the foam taken out i might buy
thing about it is it comes wiht their own stabs, yes?
ye
its balanced stock apparently
i need a 65 or75% in my collection but the two boards im supposed to be buying soon is basically tkl
lumos r2 taking v long too
there is 4 kits i want rn so ima prob sell my scarlet lmao
but sources here are good so i won't complain. manu ain't gonna charge $3k to cut stacked acrylics
mrsuit, cactustkl, bubble75 and lumos
lol im probs gonna get another monitor before keyboard
what do you hav rn
old asus 144hz 1080
eother gonna get a new 1440 main or just a 60hz side

https://drop.com/buy/tai-hao-cubic-abs-bow-wob-keycap-set? these for 40 bucks look nice
Taihao stuff is generally good
Also did anyone else get in on the Harimau/Penyu switch gb a couple weeks ago
i won't buy any switches till i use the ones i have chilling on my desk
cactus?
or shiba

looks like the amount of knowledge needed to make working keyboard pcb is like dn population
cactus
max is selling it for so cheap, idk how hes even pulling it off
how mcuh are crps aftermarket?
how much per 1 gmk set aftermarket (assuming an average gmk aftermarket = $300)
hee hee
https://drop.com/buy/drop-shift-mechanical-keyboard
this any good? woth it?
😆 understood
tbh for $250 you can possibly get some topre and some topre-like boards
topre?
electrocapacitive rubberdome switches
Reason: Bad word usage
oop
i hate this
but yeah topre finna thockin'
for $250 tbh you prob can alr get some good custom board
please don't say this again
well, i do consider topre = thock at some degree
plus, everythign is thocky nowadays
if everything is thocky then nothing is thocky
god i want to send the thocktangle copypasta rn
are vertical mice terrible for gaming
a what
when someone types like this
just gotta scream every captilized word in my head
China
Wait what alum does cactus use
Could be that too
wans on
Le o
i got rid of gamer dent headphon
It’s 6061
Oh
heh
300 is enough to get you a new GMK set around 500 - 600 is aftermarket
thats why we don't by aftermarket
My new keyboard got here and I really like it
totally worth the money
I am now part of the keychron gang :>
yas
i forgot which is good and which is cheaper
what on earth are finding for 300 for msrp and 600 for aftermarket unless it's darling or mizu
i think some sets might go that high on aftermarket
bingsu maybe
i love gmk wasabi it might not actually be popular
uh
what else
someone tried to sell bingus for 600 but never went through
bingus
bingus
@queen sigil you goin for mrsuit?
i could swear someone here was gonna grab a mrsuit
im not going for anything
$300-400 is the common aftermarket price whenever i look on it
mrsuit is positively stuffed with foam
commonly $300 for factory new base kits (i think)
oh
owlabs has really embraced the "stuff your board with foam to make it sound good" thing huh
I don't check aftermarket
usually foam is an afterthought but im p sure they design their boards with foam in mind lmao
depends on the GMK
good cheap (WOB) is cheaper

best gmk!!!
use my referral code pls
DM me for info
but yeah GMK wob so lit
inb4 edesto got lower than msrp laser
ppl rly wanted to get rid of it
yeah
consider only lubing stem
why
and trying it out after you closed it
