So thatd bring me up to about $180 + 45 days shipping if I was to buy the BM60 kit and the stuff needed for it
I think the RK61+new switches would be the better buy imo
I bought one with the wrong layout and had to...... make it work
But then again I could just buy a keychron C1 for almost the same money and replace the switches in it
What are the go-to wireless keyboards?
Depends on the budget of course
Uhhh. A max of 200$
I see the the Razer V3 blackwidow for 170$ (i have no issue with razer but i know they do overcharge for their products) and the Logitech G915 TKL is at 179.99
I like TKL, i dunno what percentage that is. The Blackwidow isn't a TKL
TKL
ok
hmmmmm
in all honesty, the only thing i can think of would be the Keychron K8
you could do some simple mods to make it feel better at minimal cost, or get new switches for $30-60 more
yeah that looks about right
It's also on amazon for a lil cheaper
and ofc prime shipping
What's the difference between their Red Blue and brown switches?
Reds are linear, Browns are tactile, and Blues are clicky
Medium
Is there much difference from the c1 and C2? Can only really find a review on the C1 or K series keychron
What's your grip type?
In this diagram, the green lines represent contact points on the mouse
Palm
I recommend the Razer Deathadder
there are of course other mice, but my best experiences have been with the deathadder
You're the first to suggest anything from Razer besides the viper to me xD
lol
And I think the Thresher headphones. Or maybe it was the Kraken. Not too sure.
anybody know if they make the keychron C2 in black lol
Amazon.com: Keychron C2 Full Size Wired Mechanical Keyboard for Mac, Hot-swappable, Gateron Red Switch, RGB Backlight, 104 Keys Double Shot ABS keycaps Gaming Keyboard for Windows, USB-C Type-C Braid Cable: Computers & Accessories
If you are going to swap, I highly recommend Mistel. A set of White on Black is $40 right now on Amazon
do they allow RGB back lighting?
Oh forgot about that
If you want backlit get the Razer or HyperX ones or something
If you want puddings them prob get Ducky puddings
are those keycaps or keyboards? idk much about keyboards
Keycaps
is the viper ultimate for 71 a good deal? (could you get better options at the same price)
Buy Razer Viper Ultimate Lightest Wireless Gaming Mouse: Fastest Gaming Switches - 20K DPI Optical Sensor - Chroma Lighting - 8 Programmable Buttons - 70 Hr Battery - Classic Black: Gaming Mice - Amazon.com ā FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
I would get the charging dock as well for a mere $14 more
For a while that combo was retailing for $180
ye, but is it worth the money
does keychron only have rgb from a keybind or do they got a software like Icue or synapse
keybind
š¦
From what I've seen, people seem to suggest the viper if you play fps games over a lot of other mice cause it's lighter and doesn't have the double click issue that some Logitech mice tend to have
I'm not an expert though. š¤·āāļø
I would say yes
should I be looking at a keychron if I don't plan on ever changing the keycaps?
Viper for claw or fingertip grip to me
something like the 703 is also on sale: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Lightspeed-Lightsync-Compatible-Lightweight/dp/B07NSSPV9S/ref=pb_allspark_dp_session_sims_pao_desktop_1/134-1381898-9416737?pd_rd_w=NlVFw&pf_rd_p=3ac2ce50-9d75-4bd3-868d-72b252a0623c&pf_rd_r=FRGECGP9FZT7S825F53W&pd_rd_r=63828427-0062-47af-b17a-fd61b1bff6c6&pd_rd_wg=F4Slf&pd_rd_i=B07NSSPV9S&th=1

just want a gud keyboard for typin and gamin
keychron
Trust me, youāre gonna end up changing the keycaps. Although it doesnāt matter since all normal mechanical keyboards have removable keycaps
why would I need to change em doh
not necessarily, i dig the keycaps of the keychron tbh
Shine & wear
Me2 but I mean
their keyboards are clean
does a desk count as a peripheral lol?
ig
every desk I see looks like way too much money for what you get
do you think i should upgrade from the normal viper to the ultimate?
For the purposes of discussion in this channel, yes
Buy Razer Doubleshot PBT Keycap Upgrade Set for Mechanical & Optical Keyboards: Compatible with Standard 104/105 US and UK layouts - Mercury White: Gaming Keyboards - Amazon.com ā FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
These?
Personally no but I donāt like wireless all that much
So preference
ah, i just dont like wires
Does anyone know a good priced desk? about 55 to 65 in. most of the prime sale once seem overpriced but idrk
For a TKL that will fit nicely I believe
and hate to look at them everyday
Saammeee
Are you willing to assemble stuff
yeah
IKEA ikea IKEA ikea ikea ikea
Idk why autocorrect only captizalize 2 of them
Kinda weird
IKEA stuff is valueeeee but you have to assemble yourself
Are VLAN and QoS worth in an Ethernet switch for $9 more?
ikea is like 200$ i'm seeing
I mean, do you really your hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of stuff on a $100 desk?
Any recommendations on a good chair under 150$? looking for comfort my current chair won't stop sinking to the floor
My current chair is kinda broken. I need to get around to ordering a new one.
Staples Hyken is very very popular
Estimated release time July
IT COMES WITH A BADGE
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
:DDDDDDD
better than the C2?
Itās 75% and probably double price
But yes better
isn't that obvious...
lol
the c series is their low end keyboard
Not necessarily
maybe even more tbh, maybe 3x or 4x
Itās meant to compete with the GMMK Pro and Id80, so no.
i dont think it's gonna be only 90
its 44
most expensive one is 69
Amazon.com: Keychron C2 Full Size Wired Mechanical Keyboard for Mac, Hot-swappable, Gateron Red Switch, RGB Backlight, 104 Keys Double Shot ABS keycaps Gaming Keyboard for Windows, USB-C Type-C Braid Cable: Computers & Accessories
why are you on amazon buying a keychron keyboard...
Keychron C2 Mechanical Keyboard. Full-size 104-keys Layout. Connects via wired type-c cable and users can hot swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Gateron Switches. 15+ RGB Backlight
they have their own site yk
Prime shipping, better return policy
more expensive tho
Keychron charges shipping ya know
Ehhh
Regardless, the Q1 is expected to come in anywhere from $150 to $180
Maybe higher
brown switches are currently the best or is it red?
No such thing as ābestā
Browns are tactile and reds are linear
Itās preference
i like ink blacks
Casually throws out a .75 switch whilst discussing gateron browns vs reds
does gateron make a difference?
it's just a brand really
lmao
reds and browns are both kinda garbage tbh
it's preference
they ain't great but they ain't "garbage"
but i jsut dont like browns esp
keychron is out of it on their site but amazon has it š¦
then get it from amazon, it's like a 10 dollar difference
or sometimes 5 after shipping
I was just asking because the gateron hot swap is more money than the reg keychron mechanical just wanted to know if there was a difference
QC is bad
esp rn
stems are all jacked up
housings are fine though from what i've heard
good for frankies
not really, gateron is just a brand of switches
I'm not sure about the quality of keychron mechanical
but you could always see what they're like

no clue where u gettin ur info but they got big issues
@queen sigil is it just stems and springs or housings too?
Guess i'm buying me a keychron C2 from amazon. I thought prime was supposed to give a free 2 day delivery
they dont have free 2 day delivery for everything yk
big sad
a full week for a keyboard
just wanna confirm, the keychron comes with the type-c usb right?
yup believe so
Is the deathadder a palm grip mouse
yep
LETS GO
i palm my deathadder and it's soooo comfortable
like
literally soooooo comfortable
Can agree with that one, haven't used another mouse since my deathadder
Iāve been looking for a palm grip mouse
Since yāall use it, is it fairly light? Not too heavy?
uh I have the essential since it's half the price of the actual deathadder
about 100g iirc
perfect for me
could go lighter
Idk what's considered a heavy mouse so can't really offer my opinion
heavy is anything over ~100g basically
medium is like 80 90 100
light is below that
ultralight is below 50
at least from my experience
never had a problem aiming with it in games or web browsing
too heavy for me personally, since im used to the viper
Itās just the g305 is like sleek and almost hunched over
And my hand is huge so it hurts my wrist
is it actually huge huge
do you know the measurements
No I donāt know the measurements of my hands
I can palm a basketball tho
So pretty big
Never seen the appeal in a light mouse, thought i'd end up chucking it against the wall lol or less comfort
it's just annoying to play a fast paced fps with such a heavy mouse
Thatās a good point
esp if your sense on the lower end
Should I get the deathadder or the model O wireless
model o wireless
well, I'd say my deathadder is just right, it's got a high arch that I had to get used to
for me at least
I like the model O wireless
And itās the same price on the sellers site
Amazon itās like nearly 200
lmao yea
uh
well they're compeltely different
deathadder is for palm and has much much better quality control
i would never recommend a model o wireless to someone i cared about
thats the only thing that brings the model o down for me
but you can always return and get a new one
Oh okay
a lot of people like it
Wym by quality control tho
Yeah my friend has the model o and when I went to his house it was pretty nice
And I need a mouse with DPI software for valorant
some glorious products come with some defects
Idk if the deathadder wireless has that
Oh yeah, I have the wired, changing batteries or a ded mouse ain't fun
cya
Topic = MousePads
Im stuck rn, I really want like a 3xl glass infused RGB mousepad. now i know 3xl or rgb on a glass infused pad is not a thing. but is it worth going for a small pad over extended just for the glass infused, or vise versa? and if i do go for glass infused should it be artisan or glorious ICE? orr for 3xl, do i go for glorious or steelseries?
Feel free to DM me, thanks for the help. (looking at this now cause prime day deals)
I'm not intelligent enough to know what you are typing but if you want good glass pads then check out this spreadsheet:
ty, ill give it a look
a buddy of mine has the glorious and it's amazing
although keep in mind that they could be too fast
ok ive heard alot of good about glorious ice. but ive also heard stuff like after a week it just gets destroyed (idk if its true). but thanks for the input.
this is gonna be a really stupid question
but if my desktop is tempered glass
is that a glass mousemat?
lmao
if you scroll up, we mentioned that glorious has a lot of quality control issues
the mouse pad my friend got is still fine (as far as i know), but you could get something different
the fact that glorious has bad qc just sad tbh, they make so many amazing products
Viper ultimate worth 75$? Its on sale rn
oh yea, i asked that question today
imo yes yes yes
get the charging dock for like $15 more
yup
mind that the viper ultimate + charging dock was $180
and for a while that was considered a deal
Is the dock worth the extra tho? I dont mind charging with cable
im looking to get it but im honestly not sure if it's worth spending another 100+ cad for the wireless feature over my normal viper
for 14 dollars, hella yes
should i buy viper ultimate rn or w8 for next starlight-12?
if you want the lack of wires then go for it
i personally wouldn't but i'm a member of wired gang
it says only 85$ with the dock
yea i really want wireless but i just dont think i want to spend 100+ cad on just that
you joking right
got no idea the difference between mouses lol
lol not completely.
Oh its 71$ not 75
yea i was gonna say but thought you just rounded up
Will probably buy it
i want to but it's still a bit pricy since i already have the normal viper ugh

I wouldnt upgrade if you allready have the wired version tbh
yea but it's still a great deal and i really want wireless, very conflicting
lol i really want starlight-12 and would pay MSRP. but idk if its even an possible. stuck between w8ing for that, getting gpx or viper ultimate
its like 20 grams lighter
finalmouse is just overhyped
even the viper ultimate at msrp is overpriced tbh
thats true in a way. but come onnn. 42G
lmao i just want light as posible, fit my hand and pref wireless. basically i just want the meta setup
Hayate Otsu looking rly nice tho
honestly prefer my custom mouse pad than any accessories from glorious if im being honest and this is someone whose has a keyboard from them and used to have a mouse from them aswell
which pad?
Is the hayate otsu xsmall glass infused?
42g sounds like air to me
xD
lmaooo ye fair enough. i have a model D rn so i dont HAVE to upgrade just watching deals and such
yup, model d is just fine but ig you want wireless?
Yea... thats the only issue and if i can find a good deal thats not a weight downgrade then ill upgrade but idk mannn i really want that starlight lol
same here tbh but the lightweight wireless market all have their own issues
i would like to see them drop in price as wireless gaming mice become the norm
same here. im just curious if anyone will try competing with finalmouse. not much of a point tho considering finalmouse is harder to get then a gpu rn
i mean that was kinda the point of the original model o
nah im referring to starlight
oh tru
but the starlight is in a completely new sector that
i doubt anyone will try to enter
exactly
its crazy expensive aswell i but worth it in my opinion
ill add ya but i gtg 4 now
mhm, i can definitely see your interest but at 200 rn, i woudln't really consider it
cya
so ive decided k371, schiit fulla (though i might want something else, takes 12-16 weeks to ship), and an at2020
sound pretty competent for a budget minded setup?
actually just realized the at2020 is xrk ( i think) so i'd need a different dac anyway
Yea I think it's xlr
@undone tide if you're fine with a dac without mic input, you could just go Zen dac
well i'd prefer it have mic input so i wouldnt have to get different module
if its not ridiculous in price at least
yeah i could go blue yeti
I mean like q2u
https://www.amazon.com/Samson-Handheld-Microphone-Recording-Podcasting/dp/B001R747SG/
Buy Samson Technologies Q2U USB/XLR Dynamic Microphone Recording and Podcasting Pack (Includes Mic Clip, Desktop Stand, Windscreen and Cables), silver: Multipurpose - Amazon.com ā FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
It's down to 60$ so it's fairly neat
Focusrite 2i2 or motu m2 for interface with output and input
For the dac?
yeah looks like they both have two xlr inputs and a monitor output
How do I find out what kinda keyboard switches I like if I have no real place to check them out. I don't understand the differences in switches,
Could do switch tester
Imo there's also just starting off with a tactile switch like gat browns, if you like it, tactile switch, if not, linear.
Since they're not that tactile, and with some lube, they can be basically linear
Hmm aight! Any recommendations on a keyboard? I just have a crappy 15$ one
I'd spend like a Max of 100 on something that'll last a while
Keychron C2 hotswap for fullļ¼C1 hotswap for TKL, and there's a bunch of random 60% boards
Alright, thanks! I'll take a look
Keychron c1 only 50 bucks on amazon iirc, rn
Make sure to get the hotswap version with Gateron mechanical switches
Not the optical switches
and the womier k66, and k87 are pretty good however if I remember they dont have very good stabs tho
model o
Hm there's a k87 eh
Wayyy too much rgb for me but if you want rgb, womier k87
I still don't like recommending keebs below 75%/TKL for newer people
k87 is tkl
k87 also has more switch options
K87 you can get gateron yellows and blacks instead of the standard
Technically keychron has their keychron switches things xD
But yea
I'd still go gat browns to start off
C1 hotswap yea
Alright! Looks good! I'll do some more research but I very much appreciate your help!
Pardon the probably dumb question, but what exactly does the hot swapping mean
You can take out switches without desoldering and put them in without soldering
Super useful
Yuh
Dope, thanks a bunch folks!
Typing with my keeb using Bluetooth on my phone while I'm running tm5 on my computer is fun lol
Lol
Considering I've only really been typing 110wpm recently, bt definitely doesn't have any impact on just typing
That c1 Keychron posted above! Decided to go for it since if I really want to I can swap things out
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have a gaming headset and Iām having a difficult time looking for a case for it idk if here can help
What headset is it?
Razer nari ultimate
Yup yup! I'm excited to not be using this crappy keyboard haha
Hmmm the nari
Yea itās too fat for the cases
I looked on Amazon and looked at oem case from razer but according to the discription it isnāt in the list of comparable sets and I saw pics of it in one and the top is very squished into it
*compatable
I donāt mean to mislead you but some have said that the Nari Ultimate fits in this case if you give it a lil squeeze
Buy CASEMATIX Headphones Travel Case Bag Compatible with Razer Kraken X, Razer Kraken Gaming Headset Pro 7.1 Chroma, Man O War, Tiamat and More ā Case Only: Headsets - Amazon.com ā FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
Hmm yes the top down size seems bigger than others Iāve seen
It may run into the whole top squished problem though
Will consider this one
I see
Ye cause measured the headset and too to bottom is about 9 inches
is the 6xx headphones an upgrade over hte dt 770 pro's?
I would say yes
I saw something else that caught my eye
its called the hifiman sundara
is that any good?
Iāve heard good things about the Sundaras
Donāt know specifics though
model o?? 𤢠\
i think imma go with this one https://www.newegg.com/p/32K-00MC-00005
lol
lol
@prisma canyon whats ya budget and hand size and grip type
wrong link
lol hand size
idk my hand size but my budget is like 50 dollars and grip type is claw
And yes, hand size is as important as we say it is
anyways
for 10 more bucks u can get the model o that meets all ur req
and not. that. LOL
Viper Mini in white is like $80
Maybe Logitech G305?
he wants rgb
Model O ur only choice
Just make sure get the wired version
anything else cheaper than that and u might as well goto a goodwill
not even trying to be an ass
model o is cheap
its almost 70
are u in the US?
ya
its 50
what
Model D gonna be a hell of a time trynna use claw with
or u can go this
my personal opinion just go model o
Or reject RGB
if ur not trying to spend 50 on a budget mouse that has quality then go to walmart and get something from there which is like 20
i found the model o for 50
might have to cop
lemme think about it
what
micro center doesn't do shipping????????
i have to drive an hour to pick the mouse up???
is that the model o or is it a knockoff?
That looks like it
I have returned after several hours
I have purchased the case
Will see how it goes
Thank
Yw
hey I need an opinion
ANY GOOD MIC THAT ARE NOT XLR JUST stand mic pls lmk i need one my mic is trash
so been looking to upgrade my setup because I like technology and have the money. I have a glorious model O mouse, Blue yeti mic, and beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 250 ohm version. What should I upgrade first?
Clem being an idiot volume 23048
lol
Sorry @prisma canyon
I have a custom built id80 v2 with durock v2 and working on boba u4t switches
Oh youāre set then ok
oh yea 100%
ya thanks for the suggestions i think imma just go with the model o after all
I lowkey thought you were gonna be like āRazerā
nice nice
any good mic ,??
samson q2u
upgrade ur mouse
fifine ok too
non xlr just a stand mic thats decent and has good output audio
@sturdy sinew is there any part of your setup that you feel is particularly lacking
Or not really just wanna buy something
any fifne ?\
@rigid valve I have a 2060 super r5 3600 and 16 gb's of ram working on 32 but for a later time
the k669
oh I don't think any part of my setup is really lacking I could upgrade my mic but on the fence about it
Youāre a streamer so I would def consider a mic upgrade
what amp/dac?
Oh yeah
maybe schiit stack time?
Yessirski
would also want to suggest a M27q for monitor but 2060 super might not have fun with 1440p
Especially while streaming
Whatās nvenc?
nvidic encoder
Wut
with nvenc, it uses GPU to accelerate encoding, and it's optimised, and doesn't cut much into performance
I didn't think about that but I hvae a syba sonic amp
what is your webcam btw
Oh yeah
could upgrade that for stream if u use it
I don't stream
But
huh

How do you not stream
haahhahahaha I named myself BooRoGaming a while ago but I switched to booro lately I used to stream for a while ago but realized I wasn't for me
ahh
and booro is taken on twitch
Oh
i would say upgrade your mouse and or mic

Amazon.com: FIFINE USB Desktop PC Microphone with Pop Filter for Computer and Mac, Studio Condenser Mic with Gain Control Mute Button Headphone Jack for Gaming Streaming Recording YouTube, Extra USB-C Plug -K683A: Electronics
450 dollars hurts for the entire setup
Def consider Schiit DAC/AMP stack
Will run you at least 180
Also consider a new mouse, which could be as simple as like a $40 viper mini ($20 right now cuz prime day)
And a mic
I was looking at the g pro x superlight or viper ultimate thingy
idk what it's called
Dunno anything bout mics so canāt comment that
Just that Samson good snowball bad

yea I agree lol I have a friend with a blue yeti and sounds awful
but um I have been looking into razer viper ultimate or the g pro x superlight
both seem like a compelling option to me
Both great mice
schiit stack schiit stack schiit stack
if i was gonna get a mouse it would iether be another g305 or a razer orochi
Schiit Stack will do wonders for those DT770s
so what does stack mean?
But mice have a more tangible āupgrade factorā
g pro is pretty heavy for the price even if it runs 100 cause of prime day
I just got into looking into audiophile stuffs
You put the DAC and AMP literally on top of each other and connect them
Mr1 knows the technical stuff
just rca cable out back
alright cool
so would the schiit stack be a decent choice when I upgrade my headphone's in the future
took way too long to find a picture but yea
Even now, they will do wonders to those DT770s
alright
Not uglier, more realistic
so they would be good for heaphones like the sennheiser 660s, 6xx, or Hifiman sundara
there's shortened cables people sell
Schiit Stack is good for a lot of stuff isnāt it
oo that looks cool
It should do great for stuff like 6xx or 660s
I have been looking at headphone upgrades but haven't decided on the goal for it yet
I will look into those a bit more and add them to the list of upgrades that i'm trying to get
Not me Mr11 and Clem are
This might be the wrong section but I had a question maybe you guys couldāve answered better than geek squad can
O
yea I would @ one of them for help on tech
So basicly laptop screen went black and did all the textbook stuff and only showed screen when plugged into outer display
Nothing would fix it
Uh
Took it to a shop they had no idea
I know a lot about peripherals and stuff, but not much about troubleshooting. Sorry.
laptop things people usually either use #building-and-recc-chat or #electronics
but well, that sounds like a dead screen
Rip
I have been browsing around on youtube looking at headsets and the most common one I see recommended is the sennheiser 58x,600,660,660s,650, HIfiman sundara sometimes which one of those seems the best bang for the buck and simultaneously better then the dt 770 pro, sorry for the questions btw
Okay so another question, I have heard that different headphones are better in certain areas like highs/mids/lows whatever and that makes sense but are those versatile for that because I listen to a bit of everything and play games
Oh trust me you're fine I got curious
Crinacle basically the only headphone YouTuber I would trust
But preference
That audio setup could realistically be all you use for the rest of eternity
alright glad to hear
Amazon.com: EPOMAKER HS84 84 Keys Wired RGB Hot Swappable Mechanical Keyboard with Translucent ABS Case, Shine Through Legend for Win/Mac/Gamers (Gateron Brown Switch, White): Computers & Accessories
is this a good keyboard?
try womier k87 for nice hotswap board, dunno how good that one is
ya that's the one im looking at but it's mad expensive
i want one that's like the womier but a little cheaper
uh
well
that one is mad cheap from my perspective xD
(relatively, keyboards get expensive with things, cutting corners on things is not great)
it goes over my budget
cuz i also got the model o and it was more than i was expecting to pay for a mouse
even if i got the k61 it would still be over my budget
just found this one is it good?
ya it's great for its price
but if u want to build a keyboard for cheap i highly suggest buying yc66 instead and some KTT kang whites/strawberry/rose or akko matcha greens
greates one out of the 3 womier boards
coz it comes in south facing orient and the other two is still on north facing orientation
what is your budget for a keyboard
$60
Just don't get Gateron blue with that, grab like gat browns
If ophi says they're good, they're probably good
seems like there are no decently priced chairs
Is the razor viper ultimate good?
yes
i'd put them on a similar level
I want a wireless one tho and the viper mini is super cheap for Amazon rn
Is a wire annoying
i mean if you can cable manage correctly then you shouldnt notice the cable
Q is wrong profile smh
Silver klippe r1
Gateron silent yellows lubed with 3204, 3203
copper plate
kbd6x PCB
Gmk clip in stabs with fae mod, lubed with super lube
EPBT blanks
one loud ass fan
if i ever build keyboard
it will be these switches
Where's the thocc though
no bad
I'm looking for tkl keyboard for 150⬠max, what would be the best option?
how much do you want to mod your keyboard
eg. switch swap, stab swap, lube, film, foam
Don't care that much about modding
If you don't wanna mod then prob get a Leopold
if you are considering swapping switches or doing something else, get a Keychron C1/K8
I did some research and where I live I can't get Leopold keyboards
my 1440p monitor and new keeb arrived (:
red switches are glorious, can't believe i was using mx blues for this long
lol
mx blues
yeah no
gateron silent switches are the worst
i've ever seen
oh my god
oh my
oh no
it sounded like you were rubbing two pieces of felt together
no more of that
what kind of adapter would i need to put a 3,5mm male into this
mini xlr to 3.5mm
ok thanks

i just searched ur headphone model and found the port lmao

No.
You get an actual Mini XLR CABLE for the headphone.
Wait wha?
K371 uses Mini XLR?
That's can't be right.
Well, I'll be darned.
It does.
huh
If you want a Fancy cable, then https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/headphone-cables/products/hc-4-3-pin-mini-xlr-female with an interconnect to whatever format tickles your fancy.
Most people would want https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/interconnects/products/ic-2-3-5mm-trs
Hart Audio Cable makes some straight FIRE cables.
oh fun
Yeah, HAC cables are expensive, but well worth the price.
mogami
smart headphone people quick question. are the hd 600's worth the 80 dollars compared to the 6xx and if so are the hifiman sundara/650/660s a better option for the price compared to the 600's
Tysm to vintage for help with networking, will send updates when everything is done
You got it working?
I ordered everything, should come within a day or two
When stuff it working will post
š
Ah, gotcha!
I would suggest finding an old cable you don't need anymore, cutting the ends off and practicing for a while first š
Any cable will do, doesn't have to be 5E or 6 or anything
Ok
HD660 no-go. Bad headphone. HD6XX and HD650 are literally identical. HD600 are a little less warm in their presentation, but if you want something for Gaming, you will want the HiFiMan Sundara, but for all of those headphones you WILL need an Amplifier and DAC.
yes now that I do know
So, if you want something cheaper, my recommendation would be AKG K371, as they don't NEED an amplifier or DAC and can be run off motherboard audio or a Dongle.
i was looking at the schiit stack
Which one? Just Modi and Magni?
I have a beyerdynamic dt 770 pro and was looking for an upgrade
yea
was the 600 the analytical one?
HD600 are far from analytical.
hmm maybe it was something else
If you want straight clinical and analytical you want AKG K712 Pros
Those things suck the fun and life out of basically any track.
I'd get Sundaras or ATH-R70X
https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-Professional-Open-Back-Reference-Headphones/dp/B00SKVNS00/ref=sr_1_1 These things are imaging champions
Buy Audio-Technica ATH-R70x Professional Open-Back Reference Headphones: Over-Ear Headphones - Amazon.com ā FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
And proper Stereo Imaging is the key to a good gaming experience.
would those be an upgrade to dt 770 pros?
considering you already have 770 maybe try the sundaras, planar might be interesting for you. hd6xx is nice, more mid centric
Yes
I'll be one to admit I don't like Beyer's tuning.
They typically lean too heavy in the Treble, which can make some of their cans feel very fatiguing to listen to.
You will want an Amplifier for R70X also
HD560S is also a good cheaper alternative for good Imaging.
make good use of amazon returns if you end up not liking something btw
yea I will lol
My next cheaper foray into headphones will be with the new Grado SR60X
I got a rode procaster a while back and didn't like it because I didn't get a fethead/cloudlifter with it in hopes the amp would be able to power it
it didn't
so I returned them
Apparently Grado has somewhat fixed the issues with the E series being a bit too piercing.
Just buy a Samson Q2U
Excellent mic, doesn't need a Cloudlifter.
And it's Dynamic.
yea I have been looking at that
same with the at2035, neat worker bee, sm58 and a couple of others
I like the word "Cheap"
Eh, if you are in AT2035 territory, you might as well go all out and shell out the cash for a SM7B
yea
Personally unless you are going to treat your room to use it for a Cardoid mic, the Mic upgrade list is pretty short.
yup
Q2U to SM7B
Anything more expensive than an SM7B is just gonna be wasted without treating the room.
yea
I don't wanna go with the sm7b the 400 dollar price tag + everything else hurts
what'd you get?
razer orochi
good choice
I got tired of the glorious model o
if you are looking at sm7b might as well get icon pro smh
sm7b is nice but sound a bit nasally to me on some voices
nice
what do yall think are the best gameing headsets price isnt really a issue
my current one cracked just takeing it off my head lol
If price isnāt an issue, get a separate headphone set and mic
However, if you need a true headset, consider Drop PC38X
Pc38x plus like a Schiit fulla
Ya
PC38X + Schiit Hel + nice cable will run you about, what, $450?
Pc38x is what, 180$, hel is 200$ iirc
āNiceā not like a lemo
Why do you need another cable?
No
Wait what
Hel comes with mic input port too
vmoda modmic problems
Fulla does too
PC37x and pc38x comes with the two separate
Oh
Like the cable terminates in two connectors
Itās a one on left, one on right kinda situation?
I have a PC37x with a fulla
This is more of a google images question isnāt it
Would there be a way to make vmoda modmic work with K36/71s?
Oh thanks!
Not sure, isn't it mini xlr or smth
It is
That would make it impractical for modmic imo
Ok
I think
Will use K361/71 for solo stuff
But for mic-related stuff just grab my old headphones and plug in modmic
Thx Mr1
Also
Ik the K371 comes with 3 cables
But are they mini xlr to mini xlr or sum
Or are they mini xlr to 3.5mm
Might be worth asking vintage since he has a k371 w Zen dac
hey
Hey hey
HD600 vs HD6XX vs HD560s vs HD660s vs Sundaras?
Rip
Probably going with the sundaras though
At least that's an interesting discussion
Fairly mixed opinions on 6xx depending on who you ask
yea I feel like that is a decent amount of headphones though
Sundaras most people agree as good afaik tho
yea
So uh
Not buying anything
Proud
Less holes in wallet = better
fax
i hope i don't buy anything
I just bought some networking stuff
Considering K371s as my first āaudiophile qualityā headphones
agreed
I got like $190
Bouncing between K361 + Schiit Fulla or K371s + meizu dongle
Thoughts?
that's a lot of numbers and letter s
This is true
well
the only thing I know of is schiit
so is the pronunciation of schiit really just poopie word
alright glad to know
There's also
the good one
Also at what point does Pile o Schiit (Schiit Stack) begin to drop off
Meaning, when should one go for a better dac/amp
I always have the schiit
afaik magni modi will drive anything you throw at it that's not crazy
Ok
i have to schiit
Ok
^
Have fun
brb
I believe the point where you start getting more things is probably when your headphone is like 400$+
Well, you may get slightly better quality from a better dac, and there are some headphones that could make use of more ommph from a better amp, but it'll work ok with a schiit stack
nahh thats when u get tht weird headphone linus wore on his head that made him look like frankenstein
and plug into a good amp
HAHAH
but mostly, schiit stack will do fine
yea I remember that video

good video
Might just get a modi instead of a Fulla then
Could I do something like this or would it break?
Also drawing 100 btw
hm
Bye
good luck, prob wont be able to lube everything tho
nah I'm only doing the main stuff Idc about everything else tbf
Itās a headphone line into a Modi that comes out into a y-splitter to mobo Mic In and Line Out
Prob donāt work
Stupid vmoda modmic
I mean
the rca connectors on the back of modi are outputs, so I don't think that'll work
lol
I like how the first comment I see is Schiit stack
Just got done
I finally found a good pair of Meze 99 Neos on Amazon and I was wondering if I should pull the trigger now
I've literally never listened to anything better than the KZ ZSN Pros and I don't really have sound set up or anything beyond standard system audio and spotify
so I'm just wondering now if I even need something like them or if I'd be able to hear them at their full potential on my system
if anyone has used them I'd love some feedback
as long as they're substantially better than like mid-range quality earbuds I would be extremely happy
I do however prefer more flatness to too much base as I feel if you can hear more drums than voices the songs are kind of diminished
I'm also considering purchasing the AKG K371s as those are really low price rn and seem like the other option
as I've heard people say that the k371s are way flatter
lmao
LMAO
I mean, he tried
who is geon doh
Keyboard guy
@clear lichen well, do you have a dac/amp first?
As a note, the meze 99 noir is on drop for 200$, and from what I've seen, the meze 99 is very bass heavy
No I donāt
What's your general budget right now for buying audio equipment?
Yeah I found the Neo for $200 on Amazon so either way
About $250
I could just get the k371 and an amp or DAC
Or both if theyāre cheap enough
Because the k371 is only $120
Iām kinda clueless when it comes to audio equipment sorry
I just want a beginners setup
Def get a dac/amp
