lower end, do u mean more thocky or quieter?
Not thocky, clicks are nice tbh but quieter
u want a silent clicky? i dont follow
bruh he doesnt know the difference
read
i see the context
hes new, thats fine
lordx, lets do this
ignoring sound for a second
only to keyboards lol
when u press a switch
Tactile: has a tactile bump during the keypress before bottom-out
Linear: has an smooth keypress with no tactile bump
Clicky: has a tactile bump and an audible click sound
hmm evaluating options
i see
sorry if my statements had seemed contradictory at times
I mean, there are Quiet Clicky switches.
what I was trying to convey though
But, they are basically tied to 1 defunct switch type.
rip
Well, I say "defunct"
You can still get new boards with Matias Quiet Clicks
It's just, you won't get any RGB or anything like that.
slow down now
lordx let me know once your options have been fully evaluated
if u get a hotswap board btw (which im assuming u will) u can always just pop in different swtiches
Oh of course the Matias Quiet Clicks don't come in a Full Size...
curious, what is the kb enthusiast opinion on the Omni point switches from steelseries?
nothing
Dumb, and probably feel like crap
a big no tbh
gmk british racing green is actually kinda fire
for tactile; the tactile bump before the bottom out is where it actuates right?
the actuation is during the bump yes
like u press the key, bump, actuation, then some extra travel, bottom out
some have pretravel
that would seem unnecessary imo, too much play
wdym?
doesn’t sound like it’s for me at least, the tactile feel in a kb imo should be from the depress, not an excess bottom
i dont quite follow but sure, if u dont think u will like it then dont even bother with it
so that narrows it down to clicky and linear
some membrane are "tactile"
most membranes are gonna feel tactile
handerbeit r2 is 1000% a cop
@empty urchin @empty urchin if ur going custom the main things you need to consider is how you want it to feel, how you want it to sound, and how you want it to look
sheesh the double ping
is clicky, just tactile but with audible clicks?
clickys are not as tactile and feel different
yes they are
but they still overall feel tactile
clickies are tactile but tactiles are not clickies
like how a blue is just brown with sound?
theres a clickbar in it yeah
yes
If I don’t want spongy [linear], tactile is my only option, so I think I’ll take the leap and try clicky tactile then.
spongy?
linear sounds spongy

is that ur build?>
i made both sound tests
nice builds
I’ve chosen clicky
clicky or tactile?
yeah sorry i might've confused u back there when i said clicky = tactile but tactile=/=clicky
@empty urchin if you going to get into custom keyboards id recommend looking at this https://keyboard.university/
clicky clicky
so much for a quiter sound
I’ve learned that i hate thocky presses
well clickies are significantly louder than the other options
The sharp sound is better, but means more net noise. It’s why I’ve been asking for quiet clicky’s
sounds like that isn’t an option though, so ill have to forgo my exact noise preference
it seems like im alone on desiring quiet clicky’s here, the only one went defunct too 😅
$100-200 for kb
Oh, you aren't alone. And, you "can" get Matias Quiet Clicks, but you'd need to build a Planck, which is like a 40% board.
The reason why I know they exist is because I have a friend with a Matias Quiet Clicks Planck.
It feels GLORIOUS
so what’s my options within clicky
depends on what else you are going to be getting in ur setup
because for 200$ and if you want nicer switches chances are you're gonna be going custom
which means ur gonna have to wait a couple months or so for ur keyboard kit to actually arrive depending on which one you ordered
I recommend looking at the kbd67 lite r2
What’s hot swap mean for a keyboard? Does it just mean you can change it for each operating system?
no.
it means you can take out the switches without needing of soldering it
Alright
Yeah gat caps are neat
does anyone know any good sim steering wheels under 250?
dont know about about racing sim steering wheels ;/
ik logitech has a decent one but i havent really looked into it myself
lmao i kept solo q'ing for the whole night and i dropped to gold 1
You'll have to go to the Used market for under 250.
or buy one that is $250
At $250 you're getting a pretty crap wheel setup
And has no Shifter
Then buy one
Yeah, then that adds more cost ya dingus
Save up more then...
@ionic star https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Dual-motor-Feedback-Responsive-PlayStation/dp/B016LI8SCG/ref=sr_1_1 This is about the cheapest I would go for any wheel setup for PC. It gets you a Wheel, Pedals, and a Shifter for around 300 bucks.
The only thing that possibly shows up as saying that it comes with a shifter is the only pattern that says it comes with one (the wheel & Gearbox Shifter package on Amazon)
But it doesn't say it comes with one in the Description
Also multiple people have stated that the Force Feedback on this wheel just breaks, or other stuff breaks.
ok so i have a budget of $260 for a headset (needs to feel good and have good audio as well as mic), keyboard, mouse, and mousemat
what do yall recommend
anything but razer please
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement screen for a HP 24-xa0125st. I damaged the screen.
I mean at that price you could just get headphones and a mic
xD
HI GHOSty
cheapest option for headphone would be koss porta pro with in line mic, pc37x, pc38x for higher budget. perhaps a cloud ii in mid budget. keyboard keychron seems to be budget option hi leyo. and idk much about mice
keychron c1 - $50
Cloud II- $90
Amazon mousepad - 20$
mouse- give or take 100$
@hot cove give us your hand measurements
, then your grip type
i think mouse can manage under 100, isnt viper mini like 40ish
i mean
i would probs get a nicer mouse over anything else
wireless mice are just nice
i went from wireless to wired ¯_(ツ)_/¯
@queen sigil why no PC37x :(
And get like
Dunno
Mow
100$ for mice is kinda high
expensive
Pc37x-120$
Keychron C1/C2 - 50$
MOW - 80$
Mousepad - 10$
That'd fit
@west hornet also porta pro has microphone? I know ksc75i or whatever does
but ur40 :(
at that point
just use a piece of paper for ur mousepad
no joke it actually works surprisingly well
Meh
for being free....
Paper is horrible for me, even when it doesn't slip
Reason: Bad word usage
i remember using it like 8 years ago when i had a bad alienware laptop and i played csgo
with the koss trinity you have to check the version. i know for the ksc75 and porta pro at least you can find a version with mic. the only one of mine that had one was the kph30i https://www.amazon.com/Koss-Microphone-Remote-Headphones-Collapsible/dp/B0763T9Y4Q
Sennheiser HD 599
or
beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32
or
AKG K612 Pro
lol what
260usd for headset, keeb, mouse and mousepad*
he wants more than just a headset
lol
@calm cobalt they need headset+keeb+mouse for the price
ok
i have a 30$ mouse a 5$ mouspad a free keyboard
Peripherals expensive :(
and a free mic
Lol
wow
:p
Didn't mando get a free Corsair k100 and now swears by Corsair
my peripherals were well over 1k usd
i have a free mic its 100$
a free keyboard
Do I care?
Ah yes I have a free PC it's 1600$ go buy it now
you dont have to
You solved that problem
Point is, that doesn't matter when we're trying to make a suggestion for someone else's budget
You got free stuff, that's as much as anybody here will care about
ok
how did this convo start? lol
Man wanted some stuff
Lemme ping them with leyo's and my suggestion
Actually nah
Need to know grip for mice
No.
No.
Not bad if you can find them for a good price. They won't have any "fun" things like a V-Shape, they are purely analytical headphones designed to be dead flat
Great imaging though, excellent for Gaming.
yes
yes
wow rude
nice joke bro
It's not a joke.
All of them are super shouty and just not pleasant to listen to.
Beyer is like, basically Grado, if Grados were at least competently built.
idk about casual listening but they are still used by a lot of people in studios, why do they often prefer some of the beyer's? idk ask them
lol
ye there is that too, some of the dt's are considered very specific taste but if you've tried many headphones and like it why not
They prefer the Beyers because they can use the sound profile of them for mixing music.
It's the same reason why M50X's suck
For normal listening and gaming
Because they were designed with mixing in mind.
So, I'm trying to decide on the size of my desk and know what can fit. Could I see your setups and the width of your desks? (preferably in inches) Would be very helpful!
idk i like my sound magic hp 150
dt880s and dt1990s are good
rest i cant really say
atleast for the dt family, ik they have another good headphone but forgot the name
dt1990 as studio cans
just get amiron home, more pleasant treble response
same headphone
relaxed claw as in rests hand on the mouse?
yeah my fingers are slightly raised
hmm maybe i get find pic of my desk and measurement later. but i do know it is getting smol for me xD
@ionic stump they arent the nicest feeling keycaps but they will fit
yes they will howeveri would advise against those but
why get a tgr jane or a keycult when u could get a RGB LED Backlit Gaming Keyboard with Anti-ghosting, Light up Keys Multimedia Control, USB Wired Waterproof Metal Keyboard for PC Games Office (Silver&White)
what
name a better combo than #peripherals-and-displays and bad jokes
nachos and cat pics that look like linus
@queen sigil wdym fortnite made ducky ofc they're together >:D
hey no
Cheese and my mouth hole.
New keebs, who dis?
got my stimmy pooog
what r u buying with it
yo guys
anybody heard of this gateron optical yellow switch v2? Theres a keyboard on bangood( the gamakay mk61) that has it and im curious to know more about it
thats the keyboard
no. no. no.
?
have you heard that gateron yellow is good coz it's the "fastest switch"?
coz it's not
i want a fast linear for less than 60dollars
hmmmmm
to me, when i tested these they felt so good like my fingers arent that heavy yk and it felt smooth and everything was great
what switch u currently have tho
stinky rubber dome
gateron yellow?
nope
probs just membrane
Gateron optical yellows arent terrible but I'd still try and get actual yellows in something like a gk61
cant type😂
gk61= bad stabilizers
but mk61 good
am looking to mod them soo
it doesnt really matter
lol
just said gk61 since its the most popular budget 60% kit
definetely
but mk61 better gk61 cheaper
yes
am still confused with what the gateron yellow v2 switches are
35g actuation force might feel too light imo
but the mechanical gat yellows is great tho
yes
plus it just looks like a gk61 with pudding keycaps
yes
and its got better stabilizers
can't find optical yellow v2 lol
but yellow v2 it's the ink yellows
as gugulu said
id say just get reds
are the ink yellows better?
hmmmm
gateron reds?
gat reds is cheap
make sure you are looking for sound tests for the optical versions of the keyboard
wait how much switch u need tho
nice color change
wdym
u want that $60 to like, fir a hundred switches or what
yes i checked as many as i could these days lol
got nothing much to do
gat yellows sound awesome when lubed

it sounds fine to me
plus its gateron optical yellow
not gateron yellow
they're totally different switches
skyloong 61
oh
o
basically the same
theyre basically the same keyboard
biggest difference would probs come from the keycaps

which look like DSA profile
woah stiff clacks
that doesnt always mean it sound nice but oke
true
that's my main reason why i will buy k6 with some cheap clone keycaps lol
but still tho its good😂
keycap sounds too thin to make good sounds lol
should i just get the k66 with gateron optical yellow switches?
i'm gonna buy kon momo clones even tho r2 gb will rollout i think on april
there's waiting list already lol
oke lol
coz every review says stock keycaps sucks
why tho? thats not true
not on e v e r y keyboard
most are bad but yeah yk what i mean
no on keychron k6 i mean lol
haha okay
keychron keyboards dont come with the best keycaps
@queen sigil should i get the k66 with gateron yellows instead?
but its better than buying a cheap keyboard with good keycaps and poop everything else
i'd say yes
gateron yellow>optical yellows

so do i do it for 5 bucks or nah?
just whichever you think looks nicer
thats basically gonan be the biggest difference
id still look for something without optical switches
Id say an improved upon version
quick question
is the keychron k8 hot swap version as good as the keychron k2 hot swap?
just with a different layout
they are all basically the same keyboard
just different layouts
excrpt the C key oards
no but number higher
I've found my happy place with my keychron c2 after just under two weeks.
All A-Z keys are red. All other keys are brown.
@brisk parcel hi
hi
hm not much really
lance and mr1 got some new stuff and popcrn keeps talking about ur40
Who’s popcrn now? 😂
You know if you can confirm it’s an alt you can ban them because it’s technically ban evasion cause popcrn is banned
I’m always sad
That one girl I talk about, I saw someone today who looked just like her and my brain didn’t process it wasn’t her right away, so I fainted
For like 5 mins or sumthin like that
Yeah, as you can tell she had a big impact on me
Yeah that too
you just faint in middle of hallway or something?
I had covid a few months ago
And no I was at sheetz lmao
I was just doing my weekly sheetz run before work
lol
Oof what do you do? 😂
i run out house, sit at desk, go home, practice piano, then realize i am starving and eat xD
Lmao
talking about this is making me hungry now
Then go eat bro 😂 not stopping ya
fat catto
Not strictly peripheral related, but I'm getting a 2nd gen iPod Mini next week
Got it for around 50 bucks on eBay
Wow, it's slow in here today
yeah
i mean its usually not that popular
Tired
depends what you mean good
Well, let's say tactility
i dont like the feel of that much
Hm
Jeez how'd you get Veteran?
if I was at home I would be veteran b4 leo
Too op
Anyone really good at network troubleshooting? I have one PC (decentt build) that is very slow in single thread speed tests (6-15 mbps) but good in multithread (80-100), like 10x slower than a much older laptop right next to it on the same wifi. Downloads are fast but games are like unplayable.
Have tried: New network card, Different DNS, Windows reinstall, Different router, Wired and Wifi, bunch of other common fixes recommended.
if u didnt leave 10 billion times
Define "Decent Build" and what Router do you have?
box clickies are usually pretty decent tactility wise
china style are harder to find but theres some clickies
box switches got thick clicks
Be a higher rank
Ah okay, well replying to your Q I have an i7, 16g ram, 1070, SSD, new ax200 intel wifi card, google nest router
single thread speed test is slower on this comp (1-10 mbps) than a 10 year old laptop I dusted off which has single and multi thread speeds identical (100+ mbps) , located in the same spot receiving same signal
Wait
what do you mean by single thread vs multi thread speeds? Those are independent of networking and aren't rate in MB/s. What exact tests are you using?
Google Speed test, Mlab speed test, Ookla Speed test
Google is fixed on single thread test but ookla has option to change between
maybe I should say single vs multi connection
but when ive googled it its been said interchangeably
apparently when youre making multiple connections its using multiple cores to do it?
It shouldn't be
This is Wifi, yes?
Connected to the same access point on the same band, IE 2.4 or 5 ghz
5ghz and yeah
had similar issue when I connected it wired
way slower on single connect tests than even other devices on wifi
have you installed the INtel drivers for that card or just the generic Windows drivers?
And do you have an external antenna hooked up?
yeah updated drivers, had same issue on old card too, and yeah I do
would a run of the mill 4k monitor still be a good grab for media stuff
I have um, a lot of 4k content actually
Is this in a laptop or desktop? M.2 format card?
its in a desktop, and yeah
but happened on old built in card too even in wired format as well as a USB one I tried
SO this has happened on 3 different WiFi devices??
yeah
hmm... or should I upgrade to 240hz instead
i gave u image perms so you can post pictures since ur probably not gonna do anything bad
It seems like there is something installed throttling the internet connection then. Either motherboard or OS. Any ! in Device Manager?
system build
It seems like there is something installed throttling the internet connection then. Either motherboard or OS. Any ! in Device Manager?
No nothing, would windows throttle my connection if im on an unregistered version
It shouldn't but I'm checking something in the manual
What do you mean by built in card? This board didn't come from the factory with WiFi from what I'm reading. Nor do the M.2 slots officially support WiFi cards.
This also has the Killer Nic. Do you have the software for that installed?

If you have the Killer NIC suite installed, I'd uninstall that
@gloomy berry yeah It didnt have built in wifi but i tried it through ethernet on the built in killer ethernet controller ( which is disabled now) and via a USB wifi card (edimax ac 1750)
OHhh, did you have the Killer NIC software installed?
Check this article out from KIller NIC that addresses slow internet speeds. Definitely worth a try since it seems relevant to your issue. https://support.killernetworking.com/knowledge-base/slow-speeds-and-trouble-accessing-websites-with-advanced-stream-detect-enabled/
Might be leftover from an old install or the drivers
hmmm okay thank you Im doing it now, think it could still affect it even if Im not using that device
?
Yes, it's an overall network setting, not just for hte NIC
Theres no KfeCoSvc folder =/
Hmmmmm
Have you downloaded any of the drivers from here or just let Windows install them all? Windows tends to use generic drivers, the ones from your manufacturer are best. https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-Gaming-3-rev-10/support#support-dl
Lasting Quality from GIGABYTE.GIGABYTE Ultra Durable™ motherboards bring together a unique blend of features and technologies that offer users the absolute ...
its only offering the audio drivers
damn that killer nic thing seemed like the fix
so update the LAN driver?

unga?
I do not value your opinion
if I don't like it can just return howbada
It's too cheap to be good enough to justify buying it.
And Tube Amps are just stupid anyway.
Too much maintenance for not enough value.
So... The mediocre tube amp, a power brick, a cable to plug it into the PC, and a big dingus adapter.
A Schiit Modi would probably sound better for the same price.
Whoops its an amp, so it'd be the Magni
they are not stupid
Yeah they are.
they sound poggers
Too much work, not enough benefit.
not perfect
it's hardly that much work
you replace the tubes every 10k hours for 50 bucks
Yeah, or you can have a normal amp that lasts basically forever for 99.99
booooooriiiing
No, it works. And still looks cool.
they look pretty
i'll get back to you
If you want the tube amp look, just buy a Vaccum tube and glue it to the top of your amp.
wall warts are also pretty
lived experience triumphs over all, and you know I will not hesistate to return if I don't like it
Best of both worlds.
you've apparently never listened to a good tube amp before if you think it's all about how they look
They color the sound, that's it.
@sly warren
Typically a warm for.
You can just buy warm Headphones
that's what you're paying for
Less money for a better solution
If you want to color your sound, the best color you can get is from the Headphones themselves.
this guy is real fun at parties I bet
some headphones do better with tube some with solid state
I'm just saying that you are inevitably going to be throwing money down the drain, then returning it because you didn't like it, and then I get to say I told you so.
maybe for a 100 dollar tube amp
it won't be cuz I'm not taking your input
Aight, have fun throwing 100 bucks in the blender.
free returns you twit
wow 100usd blender
bruh
must be nice i pay 500 for blender
neat switch
It's the tiny switches
neat
Wow... Maybe Laptop keyboards won't be butt anymore.
I'd still prefer MX Low Profile over that though.
Can't make a clicky or tactile ultra low profile
How the heck did they get tactile into that
linear gang
Yeah... I'm gonna call BS.
Oh, they even have a growing force requirement.
45g at actuation, 65g at tactile point
Ewww
i still don’t get why its called an mx switch it isn’t
membrane?
an mx switch means it has the same design or at least the main components as the original cherry mx patent
and it most certainly doesn’t have the mx stem which is basically what makes something mx vs other type
Yeah, it's just marketing.
anyone know stabs come with an nk65 ee
obv plate mount but like
I have two people I know they both want to buy gaming mice on of their budgets is around 25 the other around 35 what two mouses should I recommend to them
that's a short budget on my mind is just g203 I got mine for $20
I got a g203 for 15 on black friday
wow even cheaper
their budgets are quite tiny but one of them wanted a redragon m602 and the other wanted a deathadder mini on a deal for 25
Anyone good with Network / Connection issues? I have one system (i7, ssd, 16gig, 1070, intel 200 AX wifi card)
That persistently has internet speeds 5-10x lower than my laptop which is 7 years older running speed test on Wifi in same location. (100+mbps on laptop vs 1-10 on Desktop, unusable for most things)
Problem persists when wired through ethernet - Persists in safe mode
Things Ive tried: fresh windows install, ISP update router firmware, new modem with access point, new wifi card, update windows, update bios, dns flash, switch dns, eliminate windows buffer, winsock, ipv4/6 reset
And every other fix I could find on dozens of pages of google search results and youtube videos. Starting to feels bad man =/
I dont think it is 15 - 20 anymore sadly
they're $27.33 on amazon atm
Close enough.
102?
Same mouse.
102 was used in different markets
G203 is the US name
I think Light Sync is technically the newest.
that'd work
yea thats the one I got
Anybody here know where I can look in order to find some replacement / upgrade earpads for my headphones?
depends entirely on which headphones
Contact beyer
Replacement pads from other companies will fork with the sound
They will sound worse than they already do.
Which is bad.
They don't sound bad, but ok lol
I could imagine different pads would make them sound different
I was just wondering if I could get some bigger pads for them
I wear them for a verryyyy long time every day, and I don't like how they crush my ears after many hours of use
dekoni pads expensive soooo
Bigger pads will REALLY screw with the sound.
And make already bad sounding headphones sound even worse.
If you want all day comfort and amazing sound, buy some Porta Pros
lol
I'm not too concerned with that. I can switch them back to their basic pads when I need to do more critical listening
prob need yaxi pads tho for porta pros
Yaxi pads are basically part of the price of Porta Pros
Porta pros? Lol
Porta Pros are some of the best sounding sub 100 dollar Headphones.
expensive bois but dekoni pad for dt770
https://dekoniaudio.com/product/beyerdynamic-dt770-880-990-memory-foam-replacement-ear-pads-by-dekoni-audio/
You just can't believe that 30 dollar porta pros are that good
smh
isn't that what you said about ur40
Originally when I got them? Yeah
And then I got Porta Pros, and they were BETTER
And they were MORE comfortable.
and porta pros just seems like a weird spot imo
might as well do like ksc75i or whatever it's called
I would like a little more audio accuracy than the porta pros offer, and I don't like on ear at all
Porta Pros are the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever worn.
Uhh they are stupid accurate
No, they aren't lol
well
Their treble is a mountain range
Rtings is bad.
Target Curve
close nuff
Rtings made their own dumb curve that sucks.
Harman Target and Diffuse Field target are the 2 main standards.
Harman being a bit more Bass leaning, DF leaning more Treble
And where would you go for those types of ratings?
Crinacle
I live (for the most part) by that motto
Man, that's disgusting
Fair
and curve don't tell you jack about certain other things
Very true
yes
a lot about what you like and what you don't like
so you could love one reviewer and hate another because one aligns with your beliefs
Very fair for sure
I love the sound of my headphones
I didn't know there were different curves. Thanks for that
The most common ones are Harman and DF.
dif reviewers can have their own curves
and there's a whole slew of DF standards too
banger song
pads can change the sound a lot, idk much pads except the yaxis i use on portas xD and the portas are pretty comfy surprisingly. with stock pads on the light setting sometimes id forget i had them on
some on ears on the other hand just crush your skull
dekoni pads op
and graphs usually dont do budget planars justice
okay i improved that sound graph
its got kinda weak bass but the mids and the whatever you call the high parts are really good
wha is that graph for
The original graph is a list of target curves for ideal headphones.
Whatever the hell that is on top of it is an abomination
The Red line and Orange line are the most common Target Curves
that thick green line looks like a keyswitch force graph lol
just pasted right on top lol
Yeah.
And, for the most part anything above 10K on a Headphone Frequency Chart is noise humans can't hear.
So, it being wavy and crap has no bearing
i think my fav song is ghosting
I've only listened to this one and another one, courtesy of @dire tartan
thanks btw, rom
one of my new favorite groups
verbatim good
but overrated imo
lol
ghosting best mother mother song tho
that song do make me chuckle
what a coincidence
I raise chickens as well
The Undertale and FNaF communities cry
their latest album is prolly the best
it has the most songs that are worthy of my liked songs playlist
ok so basically
all you need to know
😎
wack
so basically the harmon kardon curve or whatever
Harmon Target, Diffuse Field Target, and a few other misc targets.
Harmon Target tends to be a bit on the bass side.
ye
Diffuse Field (usually shortened to DF) target tends to be Treble oriented.
Crinacle's target tries to be in-between the two
being a non purist and a bass head i favor the harmon curve more
I haven't listened to anything close to DF Neutral to see if I like it.
im not treble sensitive but it can be a bit too much in certain songs/genres
wouldnt 560s be close to df neutral
smh df should mean revo d.f.
Hmm... I'm honestly not sure. They seem to fit IEF Neutral (Crinacle Neutral) very well.
The Litmus Test is, if you like Sundaras, you'd like HD560S's
i sold my 560s, v neutral
I mean, that's their job.
sundaras and hd560s are like polar opposites tho
You haven't listened to K612 Pros apparently Sassy
K612 Pros are the definition of dead neutral tuning.
lol
I will eventually.
only "neutral" thing i can see myself picking up are starfields
ive never been a fan of iems
also i dont care about looking stupid with headphones on in public
so ive never bothered to stop using the same pair of bluetooth headphones ive been using for years lol
I'm honestly getting more and more used to my IEMs
I might buy Starfields before Sundaras.
Or I may just stick on the IEM train.
After Starfields there's the Drop x JVC, then Blessing 2 Dusk
What did you end up with?
blessing 2s are nice tho
and i have oh10s
no where near neutral lmao
but all my iems are for "fun"
Oh, so super V-Shape
Oh wait
I forgot about Tin T2 Plus
I need to get me a pair of those before going to Starfields.
My KZ ZS10 Pros are, unironically more comfortable to wear than my ER2SEs
the graphs for oh10s dont really do it justice
Hmm... I'm also looking at these SeeAudio Yume's
looking at it youd prob think its bloated with 0 mids but its actually pretty decent
i was looking into yumes but they have no bass
i dont need too much, but audiophiles were saying it was lacking it
like it was a common thing with a bunch of reviews
i read a few reviews on a website forgot which
Sounds like other reviewers have broke ears.
im not sure, graphs can be a hit or miss
and it was common thru out like all the reviews
and crinnacle's definition is probably like super super neutral
Re-listening to my ER2SE's right now.
Yeah... they are DF-Neutral.
My next IEMs need a little more bass.
But, not quite V-Shape
FH3?
I think step 1 is getting a pair of Tin T2 Plus
I'm happy with what I got rn
ah yes
its a good mouse
ok
whats ur grip type tho?
o then you should be fine
ok
model o is claw/ftip grip
nice
yup
im not sure how it performs for drag clicking
should i get the wireless cuz it can be wired or wireless
but ik roccat is popular with mc gamers
ok
and if you can afford the wireless version, id go for it
i think the roccat kain ultra and kain 100 or some is really popular for drag clickers
ok
but one is ergo shape so its more for palm
and the other should be fine with claw tho
ok
im getting model o
cuz my brother is left handed
i was gonna get the model D
its more ergo
ye def more ergo
Didn't realize just how bad the gpu shortages are
its 10x worse if youre looking for a 3080
my 3080 search came to an end when i got a ps5
G4u I guess
ye, i was gonna take whichever i could secure first
since i dont wanna spend money for both
I was looking at monitors but I realized I should probably have a better card and since that's not doable at the moment I guess I'm just gonna have to play the long game
what card do you have rn
me @ scalpers
g703 wireless coming today poggers
@queen sigil I think I'm going to get some new switches, POSSIBLY switch opener and lube, I believe my options would be either like T1 or feker panda, what do you think? I prefer not having to lube them, tactile bois. 90 switches, soft budget of 60$ for em.
i like choosing switches depending on what board im getting
but for feker pandas ur gonna need to lube and spring swap them if you want them to feel good
idk about t1s
frankenswitches
go ask nachos
okai
@tight pulsar any nice tactile switches that won't need lubing for around 60$ for 90?
what kind of tactile
nachos he basic man
idk how much kiwis are but those, gazzews stuff, durock medium tactiles, pewters, t1s
hm
is there uhmwpe tactiles
kiwis
wait kiwiws are uhmwpe
same housing as tangies
i thought it was just pom or something
dragonfruits might also be but they don't say
@tight pulsar gazzews as in boba u4?
yeah and he has a different silent stem also
hm
if u can't decide just get a few of different ones and try them
I'm just making sure I know my choices first, rn, boba u4, kiwi, and t1? (Tangerines look out of stock)
I'm probably going to take out boba u4 since I like sound
uh tangies are linears pal
we were just talking about switches with umhwpe or whatever housings
whats the best open back headphones under 100$? usd
For under 100$, it might be ur40+meizu dong time
@tight pulsar after looking around, I believe I'll get T1s, and I think I might actually try lubing them, would this be time for like 3203 since tactile?
yeah 3203 is thinner
hm
@tight pulsar how should I go about acquiring a switch opener+lube+brush? Anything specific about them?
uh just use a small paintbrush
headphone recommendations?
hm I was going to see getting it all from divinikeys, but switch opener being 25$ kinda sad, and 3203 out of stock, @tight pulsar what about 205g0 for tactiles, or no?
what budget, including dac/amp or not, and any preferences?
sure just use a light coat of it
no dac amp, around $150 ish, no preference
anywhere that has nice brush+switch opener+lube+MAYBE lube station and T1s?
You have no dac/amp? hm
@karmic horizon need mic or no
idk about somewhere that has them all in stock but you could just grab the thingiverse files and 3d print a switch opener
i no 3d printer
@tight pulsar Do you think a lube station is useful? And also, do you think I could get away with a bit of 3203 for the springs or no?
uh useful sure but you don't need one, don't you have 205g0 or something thicker already for stabs?
plug em right into the motherboard audio jacks then?
or laptop
I don't have anything
but shouldn't pre-lubed stabs on the Keychron keeb be fine for now>
yea, im a pleb
also, what mic you got? is it decent or would you rather just get a headset with a mic
to be honest i dont even know what a dac is
your motherboard has one already
blue yeti
good nuff
tbh I kinda want to say something like ur40+zen dac for upgradability xD
watt?
@little crater you know any good combo you could do for <150$ open back?
or maybe something that doesn't really need a dac amp to sound good
sennheiser has gaming headsets that come with usb dac
150 for a headphone is too much for onboard audio tho
cuz they all high impediance
GSP 350
hm
363d
honestly what would you recommend i buy?
are these just for gaming?
It's a weird spot price wise
I mean, if you could stretch it, you could go for a setup like vintage (Zen dac+K371) xD
i mean, if you arent listening to music
okay he1 it is
on board audio good nuff
so get a nice headset to go with that
also, are you worried about sound leaking out or in?
like, are you in a noisy environment
or do you not want people to hear your headphones around you
just kids lol
