Yeah, do you have any requirements?
Also @swift lantern the 1mores come in silver and gold
Alright, let me see what I can get, White backlight or do you want white key caps?
Alright, let me see, I don’t think I know any but I’ll have a look
Hmm, thems is some expensive earbuds, I'll look into it
i have been looking at this one RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK61
They are expensive, but they’re worth it for sure
I have the 1more quad drivers and they’re the best I’ve heard for IEMS, but they’re also twice the price as the triples, but the triples sound great too
the one on amazon is 50 bucks
And zenith I’ve heard about that one, I heard good things about it
okay cool thx
But idk what white keyboards people usually go with
So I would wait for someone more informed to let you know about it
also a mouse for like around 40-50 dollars one where you can change the dpi without the software
I think @hazy fiber can help you with that
I already pinned him dude it’s alright 😂
I’m not experienced in keyboards and mice much since I haven’t had to go looking, so yeah I would wait for a few others to chime in
And who, me?
Tbh it’s far from the worst but it’s not that great 😂
The 6700k is showing its age for sure
i game and stream of a macbook air
OOOF
exatcly
Dude those things can only do like one thing at a time
I just purchased a monitor tho
Tbh I would focus on getting a better computer man
it gets loud and hot, but it can do it thp
Your money would be much better spent
I might be able to help if you’re going to build it yourself, I’m pretty good at making price lists
for like 400 bucks
Oh my
That’s a bit low
lol
Well yeah that’s the thing
i could wait a year and have a budget of like......
hmm
lemme see
i think like 1k
lol
I would say you should save the money and try and spend at least $1k yeah
Because sometimes double the money equates to more than double the performance
true
Well, try and do extra things on the side to save up
i just need someone to help me make a parts list lol
I gotta get back to my friends now, but if you need me I’ll be here later
And yeah for sure I can help
okay thx
Sure thing man! No problem at all
ur nice
also a mouse for like around 40-50 dollars one where you can change the dpi without the software
@little geyser Wired or wireless?
I appreciate that, thanks man
I try my best 😂
But really it’s not an issue at all, I don’t mind helping
Oh @swift lantern please do let me know what you end up getting! I would love to know
Always happy to introduce people to what I’ve listened to and give them a taste of what good audio sounds like 😂
Either way my go-to budget recommendation is if you can find a deal on the harpoon pro/wireless. Good Budget mouse with built in dpi toggle if you can get it for like $35 or so [I would not pay too much more for it], and one you get a non-apple computer iCue lets you program it how you like
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DDPC1P3
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Mice/HARPOON-RGB-WIRELESS-Gaming-Mouse/p/CH-9311011-NA
It's not great for palming, but good for a claw grip
Thanks 🙂
yea lol
could you help me with part selection?
for it
or could you recommned someone?
Yeah. When will you be building
next years christmas
Then you'll want to ask then 🙂 new parts will come out and stocks will change drastically
Ask in #building-and-recc-chat like a week or two before you build and someone will help
That would be solid, but by then the 3060 and 4600 will likely be out
Unless you wanna save a little by going with what will be last gen 🙂
is msi g241 optix good?
is nice
k
o.o
Is there any good mousepad websites that you guys can recommend to me?
Hello, I need some suggestions for a good desk chair
My budget is technically up to $500 but I’d prefer if it’s lower
I currently have a generic branded chair and it’s causing me problems
I’m 5’ 11” (~180CM), and weigh 155 lbs (~70KG)
I’m looking for one that has a headrest, adjustable armrests, and is very durable
Just get an office chair from amazon
what the
@viral canopy u don't have to spend that much, secretlab makes rlly compfy chairs for 200-500$
they hieght and weight adjust as well
I’ve considered the Secretlab chair but I’ve seen very mixed reviews
Why won’t my turtle beach recon plug into this?
Idk it should
I'm getting a secret lab omega. Will see how it is
@prime copper is it a 3.5mm cable, or what?
anyone got a recommendation for a good 2 or 4k gaming monitor, my old monitors arent cutting it anymore.
Idk if this is the right chat but if anyone can offer help I'd appreciate it alot
My case (Thermaltake versa h18) has a led that is supposed to light up when the tower is powered on. It uses a molex connector which I have plugged in but it will not light up. I have a corsair cx650m psu that came with a molex cord but has what looks like a 4 pin fan plug at the end. Am I supposed to plug that into my mobo? And if so which header? (I have a asrock b450m steel legend) tysm to any help I can get
I have a question. What is better, Corsair or Razer?
Corsair. Razer is good too but the peripherals tends to start acting finicky after a good 2 - 3 years. Had a keyboard that randomly types out "a" at times and software tends to be buggy, but that was my experience 4 years ago. I have a Corsair Mouse, and it works like a charm.
tbh the only good keyboard for a semi good price by either is the huntsman te
Huntsman te is LOUD tho. Just keep that in mind lol
Am a fan of loud keyboards haha.
Good lol
Now I'm debating between getting the Arctis 7 or the HyperX Cloud Mix
$200 at most, no need for a microphone, I want a similar design to those headphones
I have a blue ice microphone and it works fine so yes
do you prefer open or closed back? or what case would work better for you?
Closed back
alright
Something I can use for PC but also road trips
how do you feel about the DT770 pros?
Comfortable and identical design
let me link them
I don't like their design looks too complex
If you could find something wireless but can also be used wired that'd work too
the Arctis design is perfect
true, but the quality is the thing here
for the price, your money can be much better spent
and I mean MUCH better spent
still looking to see if I have any wireless recommendations here, I don't think I do
I want something that's comfortable and doesn't look dumb to wear in public
Like the DT770 kind of looks dumb to wear in public
alright well that's a little better lmao
and wdym they look dumb? they don't look that out of the ordinary haha
not a fan of their design ¯_(ツ)_/¯
alright, how do you feel about audio technica?
they're really good closed backs for the price, they're not wireless but they're not bad for the price at all
not sure if I like the folding idea as well as leather earcups
I tested the Arctis 5 and they were comfy af
But that seems to be an Arctis thing
not a fan of leather? they're one of the most comfy materials
I get that but sweat seems to be their major letdown
I would recommend the Bose 700s or Sony WH1000MX3, and QCII on the lower end
Tho Audiotechnica is great too
And hi @brisk parcel
^ all those are great options
if you're not a fan of leather, the sennheiser 598 Cs use a really comfy fabric
$481
Ooof, those are pricey
really? let me double check that lmao
If the Arctis Pro Wireless went on sale I probably would go with those but they don't appear to be going on sale anytime soon
yeah they're not that worth it IMO
just for the price, the sound isn't there
so the 598 Cs are $250 on sennheiser's website, but they are $200 on amazon when they're in stock
It's just that I don't get to test headphones cause of the virus so it's excruciatingly hard to decide which are best
you're not really gonna be able to get out and test a lot of the good audiophile ones, you'll mainly get to try gaming cans and sony, bose, beats, maybe a few others
these are another good pair of ATHs, the earcups might be a bit better if leather makes you sweat too much
well damn I wish lmao
haven't looked into them much
@silver roost unfortunately most of your options will use leather cups, but you can but aftermarket pads of different materials
buy*
at least on the audiophile side
that might be a better option for you honestly, get heaphones and buy aftermarket pads
but having pads will affect the soundstage, especially since leather helps isolate a lot of sound passively
@ me with your response too, I'm gonna play some warzone
I have been settled on the Arctis 7 for a long time as many people have said its worth it, I get they say the sound lacks but when I tried the Arctis 5 I was completely fine with how it sounded
@brisk parcel
Yo
I really like the side buttons feel on my m720
But obviously I cant game with that
Is there another mouse with similar click and feel
Preferably ergo
@silver roost sorry I didn't see your message yesterday, and yeah that works. I just think you should get out and try different headphones when you have the chance, cans geared towards pure audio will always have a different thought process behind them, rather than a "gaming" oriented can
especially for the price, but I
I'm just providing my honest opinion*
@calm cobalt not sure, I don't have much experience with mice, but once again, @hazy fiber might be able to help you out
also, @west hornet , I have achieved a new max quality
No worries. I’m hoping that in the future when this chaos is over I can actually sound test and wear the headphones and see which I like best
using these settings completely removed the "veil" over the sound. I am in heaven
I don’t know any store that’s letting you do this neither any store I can walk into so
¯_(ツ)_/¯
yeah that's true, and tbh like I said earlier, when you go out and test cans, you won't really get to test the fancy audiophile ones, cause there really are some nice options for every price range
That would probably be a solid idea. I know little about the quality of artic headphones, I just think "gaming" headsets are somewhat pointless
I gave you a few recommendations already, but you also want to take your personal use case into account, especially what type of music you listen to
Nice
I honestly don’t care if they are gaming or not as I want to be able to use it everywhere I go
I am currently battling my usb cable
The downside is with the Arctis line it’s retractable so it’s sticking out 24/7
the fact that they're "gaming" means that they almost always prioritize treble over bass
so you can hear the glorious footsteps
I just love the design of the Arctis headlines where it doesn’t make me look stupid wearing them
And the boxy headphones are wtf
ah, the stacks?
I'd really recommend the Sony wh1000mx3. They are very nice NC headphones that have excellent sound.
Are they wired or wireless and how much @hazy fiber
Wireless, USB c, with 30 hrs of battery
and NJ, hold on, I think I have something you might like if you really like the design of the arctis line
You can grab them on eBay used for... Lemme check
Used for $130, open box on eBay for 170
It got stuck in a cablebox
Meh @brisk parcel
lol
I’ll take a look thanks @hazy fiber
lmao that totally sounds like you, and NJ alright gotcha
Np
how did you get it stuck in a cable blox?
No clue
I didn’t have anything else to plug it into but it didn’t want to come out

Yeah I kept wiggling it, eventually it came out lol
well that's good at least lmao
i have the logitech g203 mouse and i am looking for a upgrade. what mouse should i get.
im thinking about the razer deathadder V2
I'm not too educated in mice as stated before 😂 but lots of people are saying good things about the dark core RGB pro from corsair
The CORSAIR DARK CORE RGB PRO helps you win without wires, boasting sub-1ms SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS, a custom 18,000 DPI optical sensor optimized for wireless mice, and hyper-polling technology up to 2,000Hz. Compatible with CORSAIR iCUE
i am trying to stay around $50
I really like that one, but if $80 is overbudget just look for one you like on Amazon or something and pay heavy attention to reviews. That's why I got the dark core pro and I don't regret it
ok, i think my mouse is starting to double click
also what is a good michanical keyboard i have the reddragon k552 and i want a better one
I have a Blackwidow Elite and I love it
@hazy fiber Can you use the WH-1000mx3 wired or just wirelessly
Both
Sweet
I am very fond of my Logitech G600 and I dread the day it dies.
It's a pretty standard feature in wireless headphones :)
Yeah but I know some don't come with it so I wanted to make sure
I don't see any cheap on ebay but I'll see what I can do
Like new: https://www.ebay.com/itm/402291398254
I didn't read desc earlier, the super low prices on eBay are broken
I hate it when sellers mark an item as used when it's broken
I love how it says fast shipping yet I live on the otherside of the country and it will take a week
I also hate that I don't have the money to buy it yet and it ends in 14 hours
There are usually decent deals on it tho, don't feel pressured
Yeah maybe there will be a July 4th sale in local stores so
Also might drop in price if the XM4 is released soon'
What do you guys think of linear switches for a mechanical keyboard vs tactile?
its all preference
linear are nice
tactile are nice
tactile can be louder tho
but not as loud as clicky
it’s all personal preference, some like linears but hate tactiles, and some hate all mx switches and like topre or alps
I’d go to a electronics store like Best Buy and try the different switches out to see which you like most
That would be nice... too bad the one Best Buy we had local got wrecked by a tornado.
Hey my on my keyboard I’m able to take off keys on most keys but there are some that I can’t tell if they are the same way, if some keys are removable are all of them?
The same *
i'm assuming you've managed to pull all keycaps except bigger ones with only your fingers?
in that case you'll need a keycap puller
yea or you can flatten a paper clip and make a similar design as one and have a bootleg one
So when I give my grandmother the laptop, I'll also be getting her a Razer Aetheris Stormtrooper moise
*mouse
I wanted a cheap but still decent quality mouse
Then I saw that there was a Stormtrooper mouse
any other mouse yall might recommend?
Gamer grama
Im looking to change my keyboard
Whats the best mech keyboard with something quieter than blue switches
And something not expensive lol
What is not expensive for you
Theres the <120$ market and then theres the <60$ market
There's the great stuff and then the cheap stuff
Are <60$ even worth the buck
some could be
Anyways my usual suggestion is a Corsair K70 with mx red or mx brown
gonna check that out
is cherry worth the extra
im using a cherry clone
feels good, but haven't tried the real ones so cant say really
@daring zenith is there a huge difference with mx red and brown?
Tactile feedback, noise: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/43cq85/help_cherry_mx_red_vs_brown_switches/
I am trying to set up a streaming video for our church. I have heard that an SDI camera would be best but I have no familiarity in this area. Also, what kind of PC specs would I need? And how much better is it than just a webcam?
HyperX Alloy FPS - Silver Speed Switches or HyperX Alloy Origin - hyperX red switches ? which one is better ?
@full kelp cherry were the gold standard until the patent expired and everybody copied the design, now some clones are better (a lot in the custom world), gaterons are pretty nice and otemu or whatever blues are good
nice 🙂
@daring zenith a lot of people like them better than cherry bc of the sound and feel, iirc they use a click bar instead of a click jacket so they have less rattle and higher pitched clicks (literally every other clicky switch use a bar instead of a jacket outside of cherry bc they are better overall)
:v that’s why it’s preference
from my experience 100% of people that has the k552 which has outemu blues would rather have something else
so
and the board itself contributes a lot to the feel/sound, a cheap $30 keyboard is gonna feel a lot worse than a expensive one or custom
same with stabilizers they can make a board sound great or make it sound like absolute trash
so that's gonna be my stance on outemu blues
What are some good wireless headsets at around 100-150£ if anyone could help me out ty
corsair has some good ones
Would advice that you get a non-gaming branded headset. You'll get better sound for the price and can throw on a mod mic if you like
Same
@white talon We can talk here and not get interrupted lol
Gotcha lol
I usually buy everything used, just because you can get a better deal. Usually audiophiles take care of their stuff too. I've never had an issue with buying anything used.
The only issue I had was when I bought the a40 TR 'refurbished' on eBay
The headset worked, but it was super dirty
And the USB port was loose on the mixer
Oh yikes
Yeah see that's my thing right now I'm just looking at the amp/dac combo stuff atm ik the k5 has more power than the schiit stuff for the same price
Yeah, honestly, I don't notice too much of a difference with the Fiio e10k and the schiit stack, just everything can go louder on the schiit stack.
I try not to listen to anything loud because I don't want to lose my hearing
I use the ad700x for first person games since it has okay audio but great sound positioning
And then usually the dt770 and hd598 back and forth
Summit1G uses the AD900x
Yep he sure does
But they aren't my style
I don't like the flap adjustment I need headphones that don't slide off my head either
No I don't know those actually
They're supposed to be super comfortable and great for games. Not so much for music or movies.
They have little to no bass
Yeah see I need the bass lol
For footsteps
And grenades and whatever else
Also schiit is out of stock on Amazon
Yeah, you'll probably have to buy them straight from their website
They almost never restock 3rd party sites lol
Now what's the subreddit you talked about for finding that stuff for cheap?
I mean if the used stuff is a good deal I'll think about that depending on the condition of course
So the schiit magna 3+ heresy doesn't look to bad either
Alrighty I'm already in headphones lol. But yeah ig imma try to find out what amp/dac to buy
is the poker ii a good keyboard for $60?
i bought one used from ebay with red switches.. i really wanted blue though
the vortex poker?
Me too
👀
What model is it
its the new model F keyboard
i was looking at them, but i decided on an OG model F
ya know, for that vintage aesthetic
ehh
theyre crap
first, theyre model Ms
second, they are lower quality
you would be better off rebuilding an original model m
makes for a fun project
I heard once upon a time they make membrane boards now, but I didn't see any membrane related marketing on their site
no, i dont think so
I’d die for a custom f62
they’re like nut https://s1.ax1x.com/2018/07/17/Plyjrd.jpg
anyone know any sticker decals that wont leave residue on my case?
like are there any specific retailers for pc cases?
Look for non-adhesive decals
Any affordable speaker systems out there?
Anyone have reccomendations for a wireless gaming/productivity mouse? I was thinking about the Razer basilisk X
Okay does anyone have a amp and dac that's separate? Looking at how you set yours up and what equipment you use
yes
I have my dac plugged into pc via optical and separate power connection to outlet. then rca from the dac to the amp
I use schiit stack with hd6xx
Can you show me a pic?
sure one sec
Thanks bro appreciate it
I'm possibly able to get a schiit modi 3 for $50 that's why I'm asking
dust
not bad price, if it looks like new and functions perfectly fine i'd probably take that
Them bezzles on that monitor doe...
ye that's my old monitor i use as secondary lol
Lol
Okay Coolio so the RCA is dac to amp, than headphones are booked to amp, and than optical is to PC and power supplies to both of them got it
Thanks dude but yeah I'm probably gonna go for the dac if the guy is legit
you could just use one usb to the pc for the dac, i use optical because i have a ton of cables and electrical interference nearby
I'm pretty sure my motherboard has optical I'll just use that I don't got much room for my USB stuff😂😂
yeah true, you also free up a usb port
So what's your setup exactly?
what like everything, or just audio related?
The amp and dac
And I mean if you want to go into detail sure I'm okay with that
@west hornet
hmm, if you want to know something specific, but if i had to describe it in complete detail i"d probably say this: so both dac and amp have separate power bricks (the one for the amp is thiccer), I use optical S/PDIF on my mobo to connect to dac, small rca cable to connect dac to amp. hd6xx with 1/4" adapter into amp. I have the high gain switch turned on on the amp. amp has a power switch dac does not. dac supports up to 192kHz 24bit in windows (stereo ofc). I usually keep windows volume at 100 and amp at ~9:00.
with sound i really like the sound of it, super clear and pleasant to listen to. to me it sounds like the bass is just a bit raised so it is comfortable to listen to for long periods of time. it is not muddy by any means (to my ears at least).
Well jump right in I need recommendations @brisk parcel
for DACs and AMPs?
Okay @west hornet thanks bro I appreciate it
lol np
alright yeah, so I think you'd enjoy a modi and magni very much
I'm hoping this dac deal goes the way I want to because I can just spend $100 on a amp and I'll be set
what headphones you have?
And yeah that's what I've been told but fiiO is another good brand as well and jdlaps
Labs*
And headphones right now g633 which I'm tired of using and they are falling apart
I heard good things about jd labs, never got to listen to them tho
Now my question is do I go open back or closed back for competitive gaming
And also streaming and video watching
I really like open back, but the downsides of open back are you can hear everything outside the headphones and others can hear what you are listening to pretty clearly depending on the volume you listen to
closed back is good for monitoring and if you are in a noisy environment
usually open back has bigger sound stage
oh i think the modi 3 supports 32bit 192kHz via usb, but that's a bit overkill tbh xD
Yeah I mean I have my door closed and stuff so sound isn't a issue but I like close back because of bass and stuff
But I mean sound quality bro why not via USB 😂
I'm not really worried about the color lol
i bought a huge mousepad the other day so i could lower my sensitivity in cs:go and minecraft but when i have low sensitivity the speed of turning around is limited and takes twice as long as a move my mouse for. it only happens ingame. my mouse only cost £5. is it to do with the mouse or is it normal for everyone?
@alpine turtle most likely your mouse sensor
@alpine turtle ^ what he said lmao
Bro the guy is selling me the Valhalla and the tubes for $250!!
You aint lying
totally didn't swear i swear
Lol
so do i need a new mouse?
that's a lot of tubes
Bro he's doing everything for me dac, amp, tubes, original boxing, except RCA, for $300
@hollow pond yw :)
@hollow pond yes like speakers and a sub
Under 100 bucks.
ok lemme ee
*see
you need them to really bang or just something more middle groundish??
Middle ground is fine im looking for something that will help with my monitor because it's super low volume and stuff. But I want decent quality.
If that's out of my pricepoint I'll just wait
yeah i was gonna refer you to the ones i have but the price has gone up on them
i bought them refurbished and they're thx certified
i got mine for like $67
the logtiech z623
**logitech
they're an older version of them as well
as far as i know the only changes between in the newer is that they're a little better and come with some updated ports
these are some also nice ones they sell
and if you're looking for something bt capabilities then i wouldnt plan on getting those if they're significantly more expernsive
i bought the amazon echo dot and plugged it into the aux on my speakers and now they're bt
Thanks a ton
yw
Just out of curiosity, anyone have experience with Corsair mice? Specifically the Ironclaw Wireless and the Dark Core Pro SE
@knotty socket I think @hazy fiber can help you out
Thx for the tag :)
@knotty socket Dark Core Pro SE is amazing. Very comfortable palm grip for my hand, battery life isn't amazing (1-2 days of heavyish use). Ironclaw, check reviews. I believe a lot of people had issues with that mouse. I was seriously considering it because of the looks of it vs the dark core pro, but I'm very glad I wend with it. Dark core is quite ergonomic and looks epic. I would highly recommend that one if you can get it for a decent price
The Ironclaw has tons of people saying it's uncomfortable and has an poor design that leads to bad durability
Thinking of getting a graphics tablet to get into 2d art & also for Blender painting and such. Any recommendations?
I use a wacom intuos drawing tablet and i like it. newer models even have bluetooth
Its preference but you get used to not having to see your hand on a non screen tablet
Plus your hand gets in the way on a screen just like normal drawing
So for the massive price difference I'd recommend a non screen tablet
Oh that's true.
drawing on a tablet without a screen just takes a bit to get used to but is still nice. I've tried someone the graphic tablets but a lot of them weren't as responsive as i would hope. for that something like the ipad pro and apple pencil is really nice ngl
might want to find a store that you can try them out at
As nice as the iPad Pro is, I don't want to give any of my money to Apple (especially considering the price w o w).
lol but you would be surprised how expensive graphic tablets can get
I moved countries recently, have been to a few stores but haven't seen any tablets on display. I guess I'll ask around
A pencil with a shiny apple logo for $200, no thanks.
Wow that is quite a bit.
I mean nothing compared to the $1k Apple option, but still.
they are expensive, i tried this one but personally didn't like the feel on the surface and thought there was quite a bit of latency with the pen
Ye I think I'm going to go with a non-screen tablet.
Not sure what model I'm looking for tho. That's a Wacom Intuos Small
Intuos Pro is a lot more expensive at around 150 euro.
the naming on them is weird, that looks like the 2017 or 2016 model intuos small maybe. the newest is 2018 i believe
ah
This is one I have
dots mark the active drawing area of the tablet
ah I see
the intuos i don't think has finger recognition
Eh I probs would prefer a pen anyways.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
osu tablet??????
Hey guys, I am looking for some help choosing between 2 hedsets
What are some cheap non screen ones? @west hornet
I don’t know specifics but the Wacom intuos is decently priced, there are a few from xp pen
Budget streaming camera recommendations?
You can use phone as webcam
yes
you can get an app called iVCam, there is a free version or the paid is only $10usd
Hey all. Not sure if this is the right channel for it, but your thoughts on KVM switches? Looking for a 2-monitor 2-computer option.
How big should I shoot for in a tablet?
And do KVM switches throttle video bandwidth? I see some state 60 Hz video, is that a cap from the switch or is that someone trying to be cute?
@delicate flame What exactly is the configuration you're looking at?
It might not be necessary to get a switch
I want to keep my old computer running at my desk, and switch between it (productivity) and the new computer (games)
Would it be possible to just use different inputs on the monitors?
Like possibly having the old machine on hdmi and the new one on dp?
I really like Parsec for using a PC remotely.
My headphones get here today OWO
It does require the host to have a GPU & be connected to a monitor (Windows limitation :/, you can use a headless dongle), but it's really seamless.
lol
good luck!
I hope they are not aß, but I do hope they are as good as expected, if not better.
the dt 770 pro i believe
which one is best .. HyperX Cloud Alpha or Cloud II Headsets ??
are there any scenarios at all for a potential difference between unplugging a DP->HDMI converter cable from the GPU side vs the TV side ?
For troubleshooting purposes that is
What’s a good budget keyboard
Something from red dragon
@brisk parcel sorry sorry! I got the DT770 pros like ghost said
@subtle pewter ah alright, nice! and @dense forge tbh I don't know the difference, they both seem like great options
I had cloud 2s for 3 years and I loved them
@split nimbus That's an option, but doesn't deal with the mouse/keyboard.
I think i crapped myself first time I heard my new DT770 pros 😍
@delicate flame There are pretty easy ways to share mouse and keyboard between systems. If all else falis, USB only switches are a lot cheaper than video ones. It's even possible to make one
@split nimbus Good to know. I'll think about this
What is this thing at the bottom of my monitor, and is it fixable? Sorry if it's hard to see
I think I had an eargasm with these headphonessss
@subtle pewter I figured haha, DT770s are nice
have you ever tried open backs before?
I have, but they weren't nice ones, I just like tight, punchy bass and I am trying to be a sound designer so closed is best for me for now
and I am a kid with bad hours, and these are like silenntttt to be next to at full blast
so my parents wil appreciate that haha
that's fair, just curious since open backs are also different with the same price points
I encourage people to try anything they can, even if they don't buy it
Yeah, I just didn't want an amp, I am glad that I can get amazing audio fidelity out of my phone with the DT 770 pros
These are legit an eargasm
I picked up my first audiophile cans about a month ago, the 58X jubilees, and I modded them to be close to the 660S, and I'm sure they are lmao
how many ohms?
Like these $140 DT pros blow any 500+ bose, beats, or any other mainstream brand out of the waterrrr
I got the 32, I didn't wanna get the 16, because those aren't pros and they have less fidenlity according to their website
I want to get DT770s for my on-the-go listening too, I love the 58X but they leak sound too much in public for me
yeah you would've been fine with really any model
these headphones are literally better at sound isolation that even the best sony/bose headphones with active sound cancellation
mine are 150 ohms and my 6S has no trouble with volume
they are soooo quite that I can hear my heart beat when there is no music
I haven't personally heard them but it makes sense, they use really good pads for isolation
the amazing thing is that my mom tried them on at full blast and no matter how close I got I couldn't hear anything at all
I remember the same thing with my 1more* quad drivers, which I currently use for mobile stuff
I haven't personally heard them but it makes sense, they use really good pads for isolation
@brisk parcel its like... quiet enough to induce that sound dampening paranoia when you are in an invironment thats too quiet haha
I just can't believe that this passive isolation is better than any active I have ever heard
the only thing I know that gets close to what you're talking about is the 1mores
which honestly they have a unique sound too, if you get a chance to try them somewhere you should
they have a frequency range of 5-35k hertz, so all of the audible tones are clean and distortion free
most people say that you don't need more than 1 driver, but it depends on how well you apply more than one driver, and yeah the response is good I do remember seeing that
a lot of people think its stupid to get speakers with extended ranges, but that just means they don't stress as much on audible tones
most people say that you don't need more than 1 driver, but it depends on how well you apply more than one driver, and yeah the response is good I do remember seeing that
@brisk parcel Yeah, it all depends on your ears and what you are doing and stuff
well a lot of people don't know what "good audio" sounds like
we're both talking about our audio stuff lmao
Yeah, they think airpods are good lmfao
I love this
I am glad to get a real taste of quality and audiophile grade headphones
its... mesmerising to listen to TBH
I'm talking about my 58Xs and my 1more quads and your new DTs while simultaneously crapping on all the popular brands
I know, that's what I feel every day now and I love it
Yeah, people are too mainstream to know that they can get these headphones that are pretty much unrivaled in sound for the price for less than airpods lmfao
the 1mores are great for $170, believe me they are, but headphones just give a little more
well, some people like wireless, which is a compromise you have to make somtimes
1more is working on new stuff though
like $140 got me headphones that professionals use in the studio haha
well, some people like wireless, which is a compromise you have to make somtimes
@brisk parcel yeah, bluetooth doesn't have enough resolution to compete with analog yet haha
but you also gotta remember that there are different headphones in the same price range that provide a different signature
Yeah, for sure
the DT770's are decently flat, the 80 ohm and 16 ohm version sare more bass and treble heavy, but the 32 and 250 are more studio tuned for accurate tone and stuff
I personally prefer a "warmer" sound, so while the 58Xs are flat, modding them to be warm was super easy
Yeah, i can feel that
idk I just think that a warmer sound has more emotion
whatever sound signature these DT 770 pros have is yesss
so while I don't diss on other cans, I just wouldn't care for super analytical stuff
I listen to EDM so i like a flatter tone on average with better bass response and crispy treble
yeah that would make sense for you then
not meaning the bass and treble needs to be boosted, just clean and present
how's the imaging on them?
the bass on these is sooooo tight and warm and it honestly sounds like a warm bath on a cold day feels
and the soundstage? or do you not have enough info for that yet
yeah the good thing about a low response is a sub-bass that you can really feel in your chest
They are fantastic for stero width, most things sound extremely convincing for music thats supposed to sound like its all around you or behind you
yeah the good thing about a low response is a sub-bass that you can really feel in your chest
@brisk parcel Yeah, my mom ha sa ported 10 inch sub in her car and its riccchhhh
Thats the term! These headphones sound rich!
Like, they have a soul
like going from average icecream to icecream with real butter cream and fat and stuff, its just night and day
pppfttt
i have been using a microsoft livechat from 2012 that has been through 8 years of usage, the earcups have worn off, the grills were replaced with foam, and the band was electrical taped haha
but to be honest, with some EQ and studd they sounded great as well
better than a gaming headset
lmao
they had good bass response, but you needed to wayyy boost it
well yeah you would totally notice a diff then
and that caused driver squeaking, but surprisingly verrryyy little distortion
I remember you said you had 2 choices, what was your other choice?
I noticed less of a difference with mine, but it was still a big difference
I was stuck between 3 actually haha, the 770's 880's and 990's haha
but then I realised that closed is better for sound design and mixing and open is better for mastering, which you do once you have good sounds, so I would get open later haha
well the 770s and 990s are the same price
they're just different and oh yeah you're right i forgot the prices have changed a little since I looked at them
I wanted to get the 880's because they are semi open,a nd I thought that would be a good middle ground, but its usually better to get 2 headsets that are amazing at one thing than one thats decent at 2 things
yeah open is very nice for listening. for something like sound design closed is preferred
like the jack of all trades, master of none statement
yeah good point
I do a lot of EDM work and stuff with dubstep sound design, so tight, closed bass response is a dream
mfg, 808's shakkkeee on these bad boys 🤤
soooo clean
I also love that they are replaceable
like, if the earpads wear down, get new ones
or the band, or anything really
Its not a throw away thing where if one thing breaks you have to trash the whole set up
do they have a detachable cable? I don't remember
i try to get into edm sound design, just hard to find where to start. basically just been playing around with things lately
stereo imaging is orgasmic TBH on these
i try to get into edm sound design, just hard to find where to start. basically just been playing around with things lately
@west hornet That was me for 2 years, now I have a good understanding of serum, so I can make some good sounds
I would love to show you the basics
that would be cool some time, ye basically playing around with stuff seeing what does what
that would be cool some time, ye basically playing around with stuff seeing what does what
@west hornet I could show you the basics for sure!
There is soooo much more, and its easy to find yourself trying to copy, so its important to learn some things on your own of course
to be fair, going back, my old headphones are not bad at all
They hold their own, they are just on ear so the immersion is little and they have a bit of a lack luster sound stage, but with some EQ, they can be solid
but I can hear how distorted the bass gets when boosted now
I have my 58Xs
now I need a modi and magni
I mean yeah I have a G6
but I
want more
apparently having a good dac and amp can actually improve how these things sound so 🤷♂️
oh it is plenty
it can drive up to 600 ohms
but
idk like I said apparently they can sound better on a good dac and amp
intersting funfact, the upscaler for audio on samsung does actualy make things sound slightly better
and the dolby atmos makes the stereo even wider and sexier
I am gonna be succchhhh and audio snob, I can already feel it haha
My friends show me their music on like beats and stuff, and its just waccckkkk
i tried atmos once, it's interesting
Its exceptionally good on the stero speakers on the phones, it can produce some striking results with content thats meant to be wayyy off to the side or behind you
its even better on quad speakers haha
When i got my bluetooth earbuds I swore to never go back to wired, and now here I am haha
I just wish my PC could drive them :/
you guys actually like atmos and such?
honestly i'm not much of a fan
plus I don't really think it's worth the money lmao
I had extra money on microsoft lol, i think it sounds interesting for somethings, i tried with some movies and games like battlefield. but for music i still prefer normal stereo
!rank
Tralex, that command is disabled in this channel.
Looking for headphones good for gaming , music and other casual stuff. Budget up to 200£($250) , Preferable EU market so i dont have to import it. I dont own a AMP.
I wouldn't get a gaming branded headset. You can get better sound for the price with an audiophile or consumer headset. You can get a mod mic if you need that
Thats why i asked for headphones
Great! I'm just used to peeps wanting gaming stuff lol. I personally suggest looking at the Sony wh1000xm3 or the Audio Technica ATH-M50X bt
Bose 700s are a nice equivalent to those Sony headphones, but more expensive for slightly less sound quality
I was looking more towards open backs
Ah. I think sienhieser makes some nice ones. I personally liked my grado sr60s, tho if I were to buy grado again I would get their bt version
ye you can take a look at some of sennheisers (I personally use hd6xx). the beyerdynamic dt 990 pro might be another one you might want to look into
Can someone help me find a mount for my LG 27GN850?
@subtle pewter what's your issue?
@proud elk you'd probably enjoy the DT990s, and the drop x sennhesier 6XXs and 58X jubilee
I was torn between the 6XXs and 58Xs for awhile but I went with the 58Xs cause I wanted to mod them to be close to the HD 660S. but the 6XXs have a warmer sound and are more laid back
so if you like warm I would go with the 6XXs, they're legit just an HD650
I heard the dt990s need a lot of power
Am not really looking to import anything from drop cuz it's a long process and quite pricey . Too much hassle
there are 250ohm dt 990 and 80ohm, 80 requires less power, you can look around online to see the differences in sound
The 990 pro are quite cheap would there be any good amp for like £50-£70?
Looking to buy a whole mic setup whats a good price range?
for a more budget usb the samson q2u and the new elgato wave are really nice. if your looking to spend a bit more than maybe you can go with a xlr setup but you will also need a interface
@brisk parcel I ended up solving my issue in a stupid way. My PC doesn't have enough power to drive my headphones, so I have to stream my PC on my phone and plug in my headphones there to get good volume lol
I am still eargasming BTW
Anybody know a good cheap amp I could get so I can use them with my PC?
@proud elk just a heads up, you will leak a lot of sound and have much less bass in an open back headset. If you have a lot of things going on around you at a given time it may be distracting for you or others
I just got a set of dt770 and they are orgasmic
@subtle pewter Except a kido upstairs that makes loads of step noises some times and jumps and runs
and mby when i am going to move to university dorm
Ohhh, haha
I was gonna say, if you have a kid open back would be good in case your kid needed you, but nope haha
If you go to a form open backs may be an issue
*dorm
They leak as much sound as if they weren't on your head, and you would be able to hear everything around you
For dorm life I would reccomend hybrids or closed
I mean i will have my own room cuz its in UK
My DT770s block out so much sound they are better than the active noise cancelling other brands have haga
and i am still planning to keep my cloud 2
Ah, ok, if you don't share that would be a lot better
Ah, you will see a massive improvement over the cloud 2's haha
Gaming headsets and audiophile/professional monitors are night and day
I was looking to get the hd58x but i have to import them
and idk how i feel about that
Oh, that may be a yikes
I got my headphones for audiophile usage and music production, so for you the quality and fidelity may not be as big of a deal
I was gonna get the DT 990's then I realized they were not for me at all
Oh, that may be a yikes
it is
something like
20% vat + fees to keep it there forcefully
Thats why i was looking for some other stuff thats around that price point that will get me
Bro, I swear, I actually wanna cry Everytime I listen to these headphones
I am so used to people having terrible headphones like beats, or Sony, or Bose, and now here I am with a REAL pair of monitors and it's just night and day
These headphones dust headphones that are far more than 2x the cost
The problem with the DT series is that it needs loads of power
and i gota look for a amp
Well, for the 990's yeah
which tbh wont be a bad purchase
Not for the 770's
Just gotta hope your PC has enough power to run them if you want the 770's
like up to 100£
Yeah, if you are set on 990's then yeah, amp is needed
Lmao, I just saw your bio haha
Live laugh love haha
They are equivalent to hd58x and i can get them from amazon
so less hassle and more comfort apparently
All I know is my headphones sound phenomenal and pleanty of pro framers use the 990's so
*gamers
Ah, ok haha
I know nothing about amps
I need a cheap one just to get more volume right now
My PC has a weak ass AUX jack
No problem
Good luck!
And enjoy your BeyerDynamics headphones! I know I love the hell out of mine haha
@subtle pewter really? 32 ohms is like nothing to drive
I know
But my aux on my PC has almost no power
Does anybody know how to change driver modes in bios on an Asus board
Well that’s great while playing rust my razer black widow v2 was like holding control and s and when I restarted my pc it stopped working and unplugged and plugged it in tried other stuff doesn’t work so what keyboard should I get
I was thinking about the Apex Pro
from steelseries? yeah they have good KBs
mouse too.
I agree with that, I wanna get one of their mice whenever mine becomes unsuable
it's like 4 years old and I got it for $30 at best buy lmao
just a simple wireless mouse, bit it fits my hand nicely and it even has 2 buttons on the side that I can program in games
Hey guys
Theres a used corsair k63 ice blue with all of the extras included
For 80 usd
Is that keyboard good?
For that price anyway
Peripherals like keyboards and mice I don’t like used
Oh ok
If you can get a good deal I'd go for it
But you can get a k95 plat for like $100, so...
^
Ah ok
Hello all
Just asking a question here, but what is a good gpu for art related software?
Maybe ask in #graphics-cards
I know nothing about mechanical switches, but what switch would you guys reccomend for a first keyboard?
Reds are a good middle ground. They're linear and not too loud.
Ok thx for the advice will look out for any sales
I like blues 😃
Blues are the keys of the devil loud
And?
i have a razer deathadder elite, right now, however, it is tearing apart, any suggestions?
hyperspeed x basilisk
wireless, but awesome battery life and lower latency than my last wired mouse
$60 tho
yeah, thats cheap
it is?
Would you recommend that or the g305?
Yea i realized
hmm I never had a wireless mouse
Ive seen good things about it thats why i was asking
would be a new experience
wireless mice are awesome
^
i will never go back to wired
im considering it, however is the asus rog Gladius II any good?
It makes everything a lot neater
i stuck between those two for now
in terms of performance, the wireless one would be better?
yeah...
Hi every one .. any body used Razer Kraken Headsets ? I wanna know if its good one and worth buying or not. (your thoughts)
I don't think gaming headsets are worth it. Just get an audiophile or consumer grade one. Far cheaper for the same sound quality and you can always add a mod mic
Since drop doesn't have them in stock🤔
Maybe I should offer and get them through ebay
@west hornet
I'd probably wait considering that listing is 50usd more than original price
Ikr
FeelsBadMan
so, razer has taken down their orbweaver page, so im worried they wont me making them anymore
and this is all i can find for the orbweaver stealth
im thinking i should buy the used one while i still can, but im not sure if razer is gonna be selling a new one or not
okay so i have a set of corsair void wireless headphones and I love how comfy and plushy they are, but now the battery is super worn out and only lasts 10 mins on a charge. does anyone have suggestions for wireless headphones that are super plushy like this? please help
like they have a ton of padding on the top and sides and i can wear them for such a long time, i just need something similar comfort wise without feeling like I'm buying the same exact thing
@calm cobalt why not just get the same headset lol
they refreshed it, now its the corsair void elites instead of void pros
i have void elites, they are very nice
havent had them for too too long yet, but my battery seems fine
if it lasts long, replacing every couple years shouldnt bee too bad
be*
also everything with a rechargeable battery is gonna wear out eventually tbh
Or get consumer/audiophile grade ones...
How are kalih speed silver switches since hyperx seems to have a sale for a keyboard with those switches? I am just worried that I will get accidental keystrokes from what I have looked up.
Need some help trying to find some headphones. I found these but idk if they'll be great with a schiit Valhalla 2 tube amp. I've seen alot of people use them with solid state amps
yoooo anybody know a keyboard under 25 usd?
A friend of mine wants to get a new keyboard, and she has only used laptop membrane kbs and one of those bad $10 USB keyboards. Any recommendations for (cheap) mech keyboards she could try?
np
not a set channel I can find.. but I need some recommendations on good chairs.. I work on a PC and game, so something comfy that will handle 8-12 hours a day
I also sit criss cross a lot and would prefer it not be some cheap plastic, any recommendations?
Anyone think the corsair k70 strafe mk2 is worth it?
Im thinking about purchasing it new
Are there better options for less?
Take a look at the k95 plat
anyone know of some good mics under 200$?
Under 200? Elgato wave for usb. You could try going xlr with a focusrite scarlet solo and a mic(blue ember, rode podmic, neat king bee, at2020, etc.) @acoustic delta
Anyone have any experience with kalih speed silver switches?
@west hornet alright, thanks for the suggestions, I do have my eyes on the at2035
and anyone know how long it takes before your banggood item arrives
hmm
Not sure. Another thing I might add is that a mic may sound different to your voice so get what you think will be best for you
owo
Hey guys, I'm hoping to get some suggestions for a good computer monitor mount. Is this the best forum to ask in?
@tight pulsar what is that
@worldly grove looks like a custom keyboard in the making
DUUUUUUUUUDE
@tight pulsar THAT IS SICK
looks like the second half of a split tkl
yea
its a hand wired caseless split tkl
also uwu the navy looks gud
also flexy blue boi to go with it
Does anyone know of a good chair in the 200-300 USD range? Recently got a job and I'll be sitting down a lot more than I'm used to
Just get an office chair tbh
any recommendations on those?
@calm cobalt might wanna ask in displays
Can I get a recommendations for a sub $100 keyboard?
@fluid dew best buy has a corsair K70 Mk 2 on sale for $100 atm https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-gaming-k70-rgb-mk-2-mechanical-wired-cherry-mx-red-switch-keyboard-with-back-lighting-black/6402932.p?skuId=6402932
another good option would be the steelseries apex 5 for $100 also https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-5
if you're looking for some real decent budget keyboards, the K55 and the apex 3 are also good options
those are both $50 I believe
should i upgrade my keyboard or headphones first
Depends on what needs the upgrade more
hi can someone help me pick a monitor?
As a note @calm cobalt you might wanna change ur name or mods might get mad
Dang
Then dont expect much help
ok bye
Mans really just said bye
👋
I have a cheap membrane keyboard and one of those cheap headsets that every company just copies and slaps theyre logo on it
what should i upgrade first
What are you doing with your setup
Personally, I would get a nice keyboard first
