id love something wireless to cut down on clutter but everything wireless is so dang expensive lol
tenkeyless is great
Keychron has some decent priced wireless hotswap options
with what he wants im actually looking at some other options atm
keychron doesnt entirely suit it
price wise i can do better for sure
easy 110-120 range max
ah there was one board a few years ago I was looking at just for giggles, it had an optional screen in it, super cool setup, It was something mountian lol
Mountan Everest, that was it
evoworks80 and crush80 would be amazing recommendations if you were fine upping the premium a bit, but im still looking
take a look at those two if you wish
yeah
https://www.wobkey.com/products/crush80 god if the lite had rgb this would be more than perfect, this keyboard is already such an insane deal for the money
This is a beta entry sale, by purchasing, you agree to send us feedback regarding the Crush 80 keyboard within 14 days of receiving this keyboard. Purpose: We have finished a batch of Crush 80 Keyboards (Around 2000), and we would like to invite our previous customers to join the beta testing. We would like to know you
i promise you rgb is worth overlooking
it is such a nice board
if you would like more budget you do lose some keys on the side but the aula f75 is hella nice too especially for the money, 70 bucks is hard to beat at its value
oop
the customization on these is pretty cool tbh
the pro white is just TGEAUHTEA i love it
and it has rgb
pro white is SUCH a good option if youd like to add a spark of life to your desk
yeah, there is a lot of wood, white, gray, and my curtains are red as you see lol
lol yeah
if you like the pro white id judge you for not choosing it LMAO
it would go so good
KBDfans Dusk67 Keyboard is made of a fully wooden case with an optional wrist rest. Utilizing imported American walnut, the Dusk67 showcases a new way to elevate your keyboard with a unique sound profile, typing experience. and an aesthetic centerpiece to you desk setup. KBDfans Dusk67 Keyboard Features: 65% Layout Des
hmm, it is only a 65% board
i do like the minimalist look
Keychron K2 HE is a 75% layout QMK wireless keyboard with Magnetic Hall Effect switches. These switches offer precise actuation, rapid trigger, and adjustable actuation points. Connect the K2 HE with up to 3 devices through Bluetooth for seamless multitasking across Mac, Windows, and Linux.
i would go this
the added HE
its something ive been thinking about more, trying to get a more minimal case and keyboard lol
Fractal North and a new board and mouse would be nice eventually lol
this has plenty of customizable rgb puke too
damn i really like this walnut tho
the typing experience will be better on the keychron
but that look
sheesh
this would look so nice on my desk lol
the HE colour scheme would pair very well with that
wouldnt be wise to go with the walnut at that case imo
you would benefit SOOO much from a new board imo
also the squatch soap is just so out of place there lmao
I bought it thinking i could futureproof with the extra keys but that was like 3 years ago and now I’m looking to try and minimize stuff lmao
Oh shoot i left that there
The box is empty lmao
I love their Pine Tar stuff
futureproof buying a non hot swap keeb 😔
one of the few mens soaps i dont mind
Only issue with the soap is the stuff has MASSIVE chunks of oatmeal in it that rake tf outta my skin
the citrus goes hard
that do nothing for your skin lol
I had a brick about a year ago and liked it, my girlfriend really liked the pine tar though, i did too
I ended up switching to Duke Cannon and havent regretted it tbh
Sawtooth is what I use, its so buttery smooth their soaps
i just use Dial cus its cheap
aussie conditioner and shampoo
and generic face wash
i dont like a lot of the mens marketed soaps, theyre kinda corny and pointless
you pay more for the branding and ooga booga man idea
yeah there are a few brands that really go over the top and squatch is so extra
duke cannon is a much more toned down brand imo
I havent really tried it but my step dad likes it
I honestly use more womens product just because its the same thing but cheaper often, it really depends what is better for the money
Idk why soap is gendered tho 💀
I mean i do
I just hate the impracticality
Anywho, any thoughts on keeb choice?
eh
i may have a look at some of those brands you suggested, the G512 is an absolute tank of a board though from what I have heard, extremely well built
I hate the plastic on this 910
i think youre stuck with dinky logitech switches that route
yeah
I definitely want something quieter and more, minimal
these switches are so dang loud, cant stand em lol
ironically i use clacky linears
i didnt even mean to grab em since i thought they were something else
but they ended up becoming my favourite
lol
happy little accident
gotta love em
switches impact the noise a lot for sure, but the real key (pun intended) is to pack that mf full of foam and put electric or scotch tape under the PCB
a ball gasket system aids wonderfully in that too
which the logitech does not have
lubing your own switches would impact it too but i dont wish that torture on any soul lol
you know what, i have a question
would you be willing to put in a smidgen of time assembling a board?
going custom would be sick
its the best way to go imo
if you arent sure what you want
lemme know i can help you get something cooking
Then the best would be to simplify
Board base, wooden? Alluminum? Plastic? Sillicone?
alluminum base would be slick, i like the wood but not on a board
thats why I liked the G512 so much
Ah so you would like grain line?
Thats just a manufacturing technique
Also btw g512 is massive too and youd just be repeating history
You need more hand room lol
yea the grain line, i loved the grain line lol
anything creative with keycaps? black with brown highlights? gradient?
I dunno, I liked the simple black look tbh
so maybe like a weathered grey steel - alluminum base with black double shot PBT keys?
pbt would be your most cost effective solution
along with that, any preference for south or north facing LEDs?
im going to assume you want rgb lol
south facing looks more full imo
not really sure on that, the south might be nice. Would I be able to tell a difference?
its a small difference, but if you dont care youll be happy with south, plus it makes my job easier lol
next, any preference on tactile linear or clicky switches?
you have tactile in your current board
if you want to go the quieter route id go linear
but tactile gives that feedback
its not too noisy either done right
Yeah I definetly want something quieter, I'd prolly take a trip to my microcenter and see if they have switch samples to find out what I like. For some reason i recall liking Cherry Browns and Reds
mx, those are generic types. i think a better question is how do you like the physical feed back pressing down on a key slowly on your board?
would you like a smooth actuation?
if you like both browns and reds (browns are tactile, reds are linear) you should like both
A smoother actuation would be nice I looked at a Corsair board that had a really smooth set of keys on it, there was like, no bump at all when I pressed
if thats what you would prefer thatd be a great route for a silent switch set
do you want see through lettering? i recommend it if you have an rgb backlight since reading keys without transparent lettering is hell with that
thats one thing north and south leds make a difference in
Yeah, i currently have the see through letter and like it lol
alright
whatcha thinkin here?
less popular picks like 96 could make it hard to find compatible parts
overall full, 80 tkl, 75 compact and exploded, 65 and 60 are the most common
full is a bit less common id say
That was ones of the reasons i moved my record player over is more tabletop room lol
Yeah anything smaller than a 65 would be so strange to me tbh
wireless/wired or wired?
full wired might help costs but ultimately it might be determined by whatever i can find
I wouldn’t mind wireless just to get rid of some cables, but its so dang expensive lol
Buy once cry once lol
Yeah a wireless mouse is a must this time around tbh
I wonder if i could get a dongle to make my controller wireless too
would you like a low profile keyboard if i can find one that meets your criteria?
i own one
but honestly just get like an ultimate 2c or something lol
weeks of battery life
(not really but its long)
Im not buying at this exact second but, maybe? I nevet liked the feel of the low profile switches
is that with a hand rest or?
but low profile are harder to find anyway
since youre on a budget im also gonna recommend against hall effect
alright, kinda have a good idea here
south LEDs, a textured dark grey aluminum preferably with a grain, linear switches, black double shot PBT transparent keycaps, im gonna find some good foams to chuck in there, wired or ambiguous, between 80% and 65% layout and silent build
budget?
ill also need to fit a cheap keycap puller in there
keyboard custom parts dont change too often so it should be fine on the backburner as well
do you care about wrist rests at all? i recommend against them since theyre bad posture but i know people like em
if you find any thin packing foams make sure to hold onto those as well since they can be chucked in there
even like a cheap polyethylene foam
tho softer foams make a difference, just nothing staticky if you can help it
Wrist rest is good if your keyboard is not low profile
My wrists and fingers have stopped hurting since I got a proper one
Yeah this board apparently has a wrist rest but its junk lol
alternatively, type like a pianist with your wrists level
The issue is that they promote typing with your arms laying down and not being used as, well, a rest
It is bad posture any way you look at it
Also, lemme know if you have a specific budget
I'm pretty sure your arms are supposed to be at like a 90 degree angle
Upper arms straight vertical, lower arms horizknta
be like me and put a macropad directly under your keyboard so you can't rest your wrist on the desk even if you wanted to
Yep, with your keyboard more towards the front of your desk as possible
on the topic of ergonomics, I was looking into getting a larger sit stand desk, rn I'm nearly set on a uplift v2 commercial 72" desk. does anyone have thoughts or experiences with similar desks or such?
Have you looked at Secretlab?
I have looked at the magnus pro as well. I liked their cable management options but I think the stability wasn't as good if I recall
oh yeah there is also the downside of everything being integrated on the secretlabs one. everything is built into the surface so you can't really change it
last time i checked my ram was at 90% and a few min later my pc restarted could this be because it ran out of ram
not likely, restarts from ram issues like that usually only happen if the pc tries to over allocate ram. if you are running out the applications will start using the pagefile instead
not sure if this is the right channel
but
has anyone used the Sony WH-CH720N?
whats yall's opinions? is it worth it getting used, like new on amazon?
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/sony/wh-ch720n-wireless
tl;dr it's ok (not great); bass is a bit too much and makes some music genres muddy
i mean im used to ijoy and im not happy with it
is it worth it getting used, like new on amazon?
for how much? also where are you planning to use it? bluetooth is less ideal for PC use (though it does have a wired option so you could use that while at the pc)
well i dont plan on using it directly for my pc, but when im at school i dont have headphones so ideally id just bluetooth it up to my laptop. But most of the time when im walking around campus and maybe the gym. its like 60 ish used on amazon.
$67.36 not including tax and all that. vs $92.40 new
for a little bit more, the anker soundcore q30 is a bit better, both in audio quality and ANC
The Anker Soundcore Life Q30 Wireless and the Sony WH-CH720N Wireless share many similarities and are fairly comparable. The Anker headphones have the edge in their significantly better noise cancellation and greater continuous battery life, but their headband is prone to breakage. On the other hand, the Sonys are plasticky, but they're not know...
ill look into it more before i buy anything
I'm running the updated Q30 and so far zero complaints
Had it for about 7-8 months and the headband is fine, though I did drop it from moderate heights a couple times
Of course that's still not a long-term durability test and I am taking great care to not risk anything
i have the q45's and they've lasted over a year of everyday use with only the pads peeling (which anker support promptly sent a replacement without asking further questions after i sent some photos)
it was my main pair of headphones until i got my hd6xx so it was being used like 10 hours a day for over a year
q30 idk how the durability is though
I had an Anker charging cable with a (small) cut/split in the rubber housing and sent a pic with my warranty claim. They accepted it right away; didn't ask me to send a pic of the old one cut or anything
Goated warranty
I like the sleek design, like it’s not too bulky and there’s little to no lights on the sides
On the Q30 v2 there is no lighting on the side
Only like a status indicator LED on the bottom of the left earcup next to the power button
looks like the Q30 is cheaper. im going with that
keyboard been delayed for a month thanks donald trump
EzStudioz 2028! I will make keyboards arrive on time.
Amendment 30 - thou shall have his keyboard
Revelations 12:18 thou shall not delay my keyboard
is it normal for my ram to be at 40% while there is no apps opens at all
Yep
Let me guess, task manager
It lists things that "reserve" memory that it isn't actually using
high ram usage isn't necessarily a bad thing either
i paid for the ram, imma use the ram
I wonder how much Big Ram pays Microsoft to show ram allocation instead of actual use
Is this ram compatible with ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME Z390-P (LGA1151)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZPLM1R1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
No
No
everybody bringing that in here like there isnt a chat called #cpus-mobo-and-memory
mm yes ram is my favorite peripheral

I think my Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed from 2020 is finally showing age
It may be due for a retirement
I was thinking a Logitech G305 Lightspeed for $29
Play advanced without wires or limits. logitech G G305 LIGHTSPEED is a wireless gaming mouse designed for high-performance in your favorite PC games. G305 features the next-gen logitech G HERO optical sensor with 200 to 12,000 DPI sensitivity for competition-level accuracy. LIGHTSPEED wireless te...

honestly
I have the viper v3 pro, arguably the best gaming mouse in the world
and sometimes i miss the G305, its just so insanely solid for the price
like it feels like its worth $70-80+
Yeah I used to use Logitech mice but they broke soo much for me
My razer baslisk x hyperspeed lasted 4 years 0 problems
Literally the usb dongle is rusting
fire
I have a hyperx quadcast microphone and whenever i plug it into my laptop it sounds like crap for everyone else. It works fine when plugged into my desktop. I'm assuming its a driver issue because I have uninstalled drivers before and it made it sound fine but then it just reverts back to the old drivers once I restart again
Its usb
Other people have had the same issue, especially since it's an acer laptop and I guess it's just known to mess up the microphone quality on certain mics
Like i said the only fix I can find is installing latest Realtek driver, which restarts the laptop once, and then I have to cancel the rest of the installation or else If I continue with it, it'll just go back to how it sounded before. And also if I restart the laptop it will also revert everything
i don't think it's an acer issue, at most a windows issue
I dont think I own another cable like this one, this is the specific microphone usb cable
i believe it uses USB type B
oh a mini b
because it seems like there should be a fix for this,
The only online resources being, buy a new microphone or use headset or laptop mic
what does it sound like exactly?
could probably tell what the issue may be from the type of noise it's making
i'd say it may either be the cable, or perhaps you set the audio quality wrong
lemme go into your settings and try to change the sample rate to like 44100 or 48000 if possible
i have changed it, it doesn't seem to do anything
or at least it doesn't feel like it since the audio quality was already so bad to begin with
hmm
does it sound fine through the headphone jack on the mic?
Yk
I haven't tried that before, but sadly i do not have headphones that can plug into it no more lol
I have them at home, and Im currently at my dorm, but I will be home tomorrow
what pickup pattern and gain do you have it set to? maybe try lowering it to the middle or such in case it's peaking and causing distortion
and use cardioid pickup pattern (the circle with the divot)
gain is middle
I cant actually hear my audio tho cuz now my speakers on my laptop are just not working
maybe try lower? press win+r, then put in mmsys.cpl and click run, then go to the recording tab look for your mic and talk, and see if the bar goes all the way
it should be more around the halfway mark
well i cant even hear anything at all anymore
but im reinstalling all my drivers rn
the quadcast uses just the windows default microphone drivers
i am using the circle with the divot, and doing that doesn't actually change the sound at all
When i try lowering the gain it also sounds the same quality, just quieter
shouldnt change the sound; just the pickup pattern
cardioid usually picks up less external noises
hmmm
does it go higher if you raise the gain
is it just stuck at 1/2~
hhmmm
are we still sure its not the acer laptop lol
it shouldnt be a issue with the laptop
if you were plugging the mic in through the 3.5mm jack, sure maybe (especially if the contacts are old and dusty or whatever)
but for USB, it's either the mic, the cable, or windows
or it could be the usb port but considering that mics dont need more than like a usb 2 speed, it is probably not that (since the device is being properly detected)
sigh
it downloads specific windows drivers for it, why couldn't hyperx just have there own drivers for this damn mic
honestly most usb mics i've used all used windows's default drivers lol
even my mic interface (focusrite scarlett) works without drivers (Though you don't get all the features )
I've had issues with laptops and sound related drivers
Or maybe the sound card itself idk
trying to use via with a gingko65 pro and it says searching for devices. i already flashed the board and sideloaded it and nothing works. What do I do ?
maybe try another cable
could also try their web browser instead of the app. some boards ive had only showed up on the browser and not the app despite flashing them to latest firmware
I tried web browser too, no dice
Same issue
The keyboard works it just won’t connect to via
Have you tried using the specific json layout file for via to identify the keyboard?
Or is that already what you called sideloading
yeah
ggs bro donald trump stole my neo ergo
is it stuck at customs or some
praying 4u
my brother giving me a free HE keyboard tho
idk i still havent decided on switches but i got some extra naevies so i might just try those
he goated
i dont even utilize mine tho lowkey
i stopped playing comp/rythym games
i tried marvel rivals for a bit
he managing some pro esports team so he gets free stuff
it stopped getting fun around gold, games were lasting too long
hey whats the best way to fix the warp on a gmk space bar ?
warm water and weight or what
what set
spirit
isnt it just black?
haven’t played any comp game in ages
besides tarkov but i dont consider that game comp
theyre just sitting and waiting
most gmk sets use stock colors bc its cheaper
but i think oblivion is warped too
i’m mismatching sets for this board bc poor i hope it doesnt look giga bad
the freaking board im building rn like didnt come with enough gaskets
im like checking every piece of foam in the box to check it ddnt get like hidden in it
wat board
second hand im assuming ?
yea
or did they rerun
not that i know of
did the last person who owned it not leave gaskets on ?
im like dumbfounded
the bottom case has its gaskets
but the top case doesnt
and the whole assembly wiggles
cause its not locked in from the friction/force up and down
weird
must of been a big skill issue moment for last owner to have half the gaskets missing
unless im tweaking and this build didnt have gaskets on the top case ?
every video they never turn the top case over so i can really see but i cant imagine that being a thing for any reason, and if it is its dumb bc the whole assembly wiggles then lol
youre not tweaking
gasket mount needs 2
last person could of maybe put gaskets on plate then realize halfway that it should go on case
can i send videos here
do you think i could use gaskets from an ikki68
that would probably work, no ?
It won't play
How hot does the water need to be
Sizing ?
the video you sent
Would it be better than nothing or just don’t even bother
Oh
Yeah idk why it’s so goofed
It just moves back and forth and goes up a bit
you could use ikki gaskets but dif dimensions are gonna throw off the board
if it does fit, it might wobble too much or basically turn it to like top mount
if it works
I think I fixed the spacebar on the bright side
So what’s the move, what should I do
this is absurd
i didnt like how spirit looked, oblivion didnt have the right kitting, and modo 2 doesnt have the right kitting
where tf are my 1.75u shifts
rn i have a caps lock down arrow at right shift or do i just use spirit
Alright mouse people now is the time, Im looking for a replacement for my razer viper. Only things i didnt like about the mouse were the rubber grips that wear out, mouse buttons are loud, scroll wheel wasn’t the best, and i want to switch to wireless. Any thoughts?
What’s the best $30 gaming mouse? G305 light speed?
Coming from a razer basilisk X hyperspeed
I like heavier mice, they feel nicer quality
should I do half plate alu or polycarb haus65 with nk creams ?
Are keychron’s mice good? Tbh most of the time I am doing productivity workloads but I do like to play the occasional game
I have a m3 mini 4k rn, worked pretty well so far
Hmm I just checked out the m6, looks pretty interesting
305 certainly has a bit of weight due to the double a battery
it's not heavy but it's not like those featherweight mice
I don’t need light mice
no i meant that the 305 is neither a heavy mouse nor a light mouse
Perfectly fine for me
with the battery it's probably like 66 grams or something
https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/razer/basilisk-x-hyperspeed current mouse 111g
https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/logitech/g305-lightspeed G305 light speed 102g
The Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed is a fairly well-rounded mouse that's versatile enough for a variety of uses. This wireless-only mouse looks and feels very simil...
It’s actually lighter
Well probably a lil more considering there’s a second battery
I don’t think those weights include batteries
2nd?
neither mice have more than one battery from what i see
Oh bruh I thought u mean DOUBLE
Like 2 batteries 💀
So basically the G305 is slightly lighter than my current mouse which is fine and probably unnoticeable
💀
in hindsight it probably would have been more understandable in text by just saying AA battery instead of spelling out "double" LMFAO
i was just typing it the way i normally say it out loud
"double a" "triple a"
Double triple a
Yeah so weight is fine
I gotta go test it out cause apparently it’s small
what grip do you use?
alot smaller if you use palm grip
fine if you use claw grip probably
fingertip grip should be easy
i normally use claw or fingertip grip
My right hand
Idk bruh
Fingers bent palm on mouse wrist bent
probably claw grip then
palm grip: whole finger and palm is contacting mouse
claw grip: fingertips and part of palm is contacting the mouse
fingertip grip: only fingertips are contacting the mouse
For people with keychron mice, how do you find the scroll wheels? Im seeing some people saying they are obnoxiously loud
yeah the m6 is quite loud if you try to scroll fast without unlocking it
though it's quite quiet if it's unlocked
And how is the feel of the body. One of the main reasons im looking at mice like this or pulsar type design is lack of rubber lol. The rubber on my viper has formed holes over time which is really annoying, then again it is like 5 years old at this point
It's just plain plastic, no rubberized coating
This was one of the main reasons I picked this over the mx master
I did end up ordering a m6 now, most of the time I am doing productivity tasks anyway so we will see how this goes
Hope you'll enjoy it
I can imagine the mx3s must be nice to use but I just can’t with the rubberized coatings and apparently they don’t last very long
ye sure thing, if I can remember lol
chat
im actually losing it
waiting for this damn keyboard
but im getting a free HE keyboard so thats cool
hwo does that work out
brother is 100t marvel rivals team manager
o i forgot
Woah wtf that’s sick
Can anyone recommend a keyboard that is under $30-$35 off of amazon with the extended number keypad?
suggestions for decent webcams? around / under $40 preferably
An old phone with a webcam app
Droidcam for example
One time lifetime purchase for the full app functionality way under 40 bucks
yeah im having that issue with some stuff too
were the tariffs gonna happen by april?
its aight
if youre ordering something off their site, try to see if yoojin still works as a promo code
Yeah I’ve tried that and with no wifi in my room it’s basically useless
Android 15 (idk if it's just pixel phones or what) can do usb webcam
I have iPhones only
I sorta want a webcam mainly for head tracking
lol
actually terrible luck
Face tracking or just head? If so iphones are usually the go to for that since they have faceid camera
Faceid camera is just infrared but as I’ve said my phone won’t work since I don’t have wifi in my room
And besides the faceid tech wouldn’t even be used
Most of those apps also support usb
Well the other issue is I don’t have a spare phone
lol
And I have no way to mount my phone
I would just note opentrack for head tracking via a webcam is really really wacky and buggy
Would recommend just spending the money for trackir when possible
i've heard that the pre-amp should just be just be the negative of the highest amplification , but the peak value meter never approaches max , so it should be fine if i boost the pre-amp a bit?
if am not wrong , as long as there is no clipping there is nothing to worry about ?
do any of you guys know a good gaming mouse under 30?
Probably g203 lightspeed
Vouch, just got one it’s it’s good.
I used Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed before and it’s very similar in terms of grip.
Slightly smaller and the side buttons at a lil higher up.
But overall, it’s simple and gets the job done.
Also Bestbuy price matches it, so you can get it today in store if you go.
Nope it was irl, also ye the mouse is gooood
im confused. when i search it, i either see the g203 lightsync or the g305 lightspeed
I have the g305 lightspeed
alr
For $25 it’s very nice
I wouldn’t ever need something more than it
Maybe a small recommendation to move the side buttons slightly down, but I only use them for push to talk usually
Just bought steelseries nova pro, sound okay but biggest issue is having to use sonar and the software is lagging all my software when active
Looking for comparable wireless headset does not need to have a mic. Any suggestions?
I thought the software wasn't mandatory
It is if you want chat mix which was my favorite feature from my arctis 5 headset which didnt need it before
huh.
RTX Voice
I hopefully found a good option looking around audeze maxells
HATSUNE MIKU SUPREMACY 🗣️
OP1 8k good or bad for the cost (85$)
That’s pretty sick
Actually looks to be pointless to get that high polling I should stop looking in to random YouTube comments
high polling rates can even cause issues sometimes
Yeah that’s what I’ve found
Theres so many mice out there I don’t even k is what’s good and what isn’t so I didn’t even think to look into that until after I asked
honestly imo just get the cheapest mouse you can find with the features you want
for the most part they're all going to be fairly similar in performance once you reach the like 50 dollar mark
maybe even 40 dollar
Is there even a point to get a 2k polling
With a 180hz monitor
Or just stick to 1k
personally i think that, 1k should be more than enough for most gamers
maybe higher if you're like really competitive and that like half millisecond faster response time matters for you
1k is the norm, 2k is good, 4k and 8k polling theres really no reason to use it unless you want less performance and even just tanking your games depending on the title. even so, only some games take advantage of the 4k and 8k polling and thats also assuming you have a good cpu
I mean I'd argue that the sensors in those high poll rate mice (on average) are better sensors with more potential resolution
Even if you run it at 1k hz
So if they're not more expensive there's no downside cuz you can always run 1k poll rate kek
That’s what I’ve decided to do while still getting a cheaper mouse than the op1 8k
I honestly want wired earbuds again after seeing how horribly airpods perform in crowded environments
might i introduce you to these?
https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MYQY3AM/A/earpods-usb-c
theyre like airpods, but wired
I mean
Dividing by zero is technically infinity right?
Well, yeah, but it's better to just say "undefined"
Umm, no thank you
Then what the heck is the alternative?
Over ear earbuds?
Neck earbuds?
AIRPOD MAX??
I was just thinking iems xD
For some reason all iems I saw have a curvy response graph
Im just tryna find something thats close to my beyerdynamics but not expensive
Apparently thats pretty hard to do
They have that
https://www.sleepphones.com/products/sleepphones-effortless
I might try to wait for the crinear reference later this year
If the shape works for your ears they're actually quite good for $20
Shape doesn't work for everyone tho
wasn't moondrop aria the meta a while ago
If they downgraded the quality like they did with the sparks, nah
I was very sad when I bought my second pair of sparks and they were so much worse than the first pair I had
sleeping headphones?
ironically i have a double ear infection that ive had for almost two years now for sleeping with headphones on for a summer
Jesus
ive still yet to get the damn infection to go away
Tried rubbing alcohol?
ive had a horse needle in my ass and thats not even helped LMAO
ive been on antibiotics, ear drops
and my doctors unfortunately dont really care that much
They're for "binaural beats" which can help some people fall asleep faster. It works by bypassing your eardrum and vibrating your inner ear directly.
ive heard of that before
its weird lol
The sound quality is obviously not as good but for simple stuff it's quite interesting
nah gotta wear my sennies HE-1 to sleep fr fr
I actually do use the ozlo sleepbuds
That’s exactly my problem. They have terrible fit for my ears. That’s also why I use airpod pros and not the regular ones
i just wear KZ buds and use a 3.5mm jack to usb c
Ah yes
Tube replacement speedrun
wth is "razer skibidi" bro this company is actually unhinged
no way i got recommended that in my mail
It aint even april fools day yet
🤷♂️
Yes it is, if you're to the west of the international date line
That's so true i forgot America isn't the only place on earth
oh dear
iem moment
And some headphones a third or half of the price probably sweep it
HMMMM
i have 20 dollar kz buds and they work perfectly fine for me outside
and then ive got my sennies for at-home listening
I had the kz as16 and the filter tore off
Honestly i just let it hang on this lamp I didn’t like the eq cope i had to do
Moondrop chu 2 seem to have a mostly balanced sound so ima get that
i think kz is best as a budget option anyway
And they are cheap and easily serviceable
They good for fitness?
Cause I’m such a fit person 💀
Which one would you recommend?
considering they wrap around your ear id imagine definitely
iem market changes so often its hard to keep up
last time i checked kz got dethroned by new budget planar iems but its been a long while since i last browsed the market
You all probably knew this already, but HP printers suck balls
My OfficeJet 8015e keeps cancelling or shutting down forever
Instead of printing
Or copying
HP support would say "turn it off and on again, and buy new printer cartridges because when we soft blocked third party ones we accidentally blocked some first party ones too"
We completely reinstalled it and now it's working....for now
Just throw it in the trash and get anything else except Brother printers during a sale when you can tbh
Brother is starting to do the same thing as HP
Nooo, I thought they were the good guys :(
More info if anyone is curious
https://www.tomshardware.com/peripherals/printers/brother-accused-of-locking-down-third-party-printer-ink-cartridges-via-firmware-updates-removing-older-firmware-versions-from-support-portals
Sadly, “Brother is among the rest of them now,” mused the famous RepairTuber. With that, he admitted he would be stumped if asked to recommend a printer today.
😭
Hmm
This epson I had for a really long time with no issues
Just had to run the cleaning mode and test a lot because we didn’t use it for a real long time
Et 3600
Epson ecotanks are decent
I don't like recommending inkjets though
They require frequent use (more than once a week) as they will clog if left unused
They are more prone to clogs but idk I don’t use my xerox all the time and haven’t really had any issues fingers crossed
Ink cost is a smaller concern with tank style printers but initial cost is also higher which may be a deal-breaker for some people
Also Xerox is laser only afaik
Oh is it? I didn’t think so, I do have hp laser I know for sure
I don't understand lasers
But yeah, laser printers can be stored unused for several months at a time and never worry about clogs pretty much (maybe humidity)
Magic powder
Actually the laser I have has some kind of problem. Didn’t have time to look at it though
It's simple really, it's just light amplified by simulating the emission of radiation

What IS light though
I could feel the radiation from here

WAT
does anyone know which 4K video capture card that supports Nintendo Switch 2?
it uses HDMI to output 4K so i assume if buying a 4K compatible capture card is good?
unsure cuz it’s a new system
Just get any 1080p capture card with 4k pass through
oh ur right, so 1080p ones work fine
what is 4k pass through?
the end result is if i record or stream on twitch, i get a 1080p video output right? (i don’t need it to be 4K)
and basically i want no latency, if possible
basically
input into capture card (4k)
outputs as a video source on the pc (1080p)
outputs hdmi (4k)
this would only add like 2ms latency on average probably, afaik most capture cards dont really affect latency much with passthrough (but you will usually have more latency if you used the video feed)
ok thx
do u guys know is the kzzi k75 lite keyboard is any good
found a 50% discount deal
trying to connect my Joy Cons to my computer via Bluetooth, but nothing happens when I try to sync them while I'm on the "add a device" screen in the Bluetooth and other devices settings screen. I've already tried looking into this on the web but all I get is: oh it's super easy, barely and inconvenience
joycons and windows is very tempermental
try restarting windows and maybe it'll work
maybe on the 2nd restart
you might need to reinstall bluetooth drivers
hmm I found where to get drivers for my mother board, got an exe, opened it, then I see little screens like it was going to install it but then nothing happens afterward.
this is bizarre because, I had been able to use my computer to change the colors on the Joy Cons (to reflect the new shells I installed on the Switch's screen) so I would have had to connect them to my computer
shenzhenaudio.com: professional headphone, earphone, amplifier, dac, decoder, hifi player, cable supermarket. you will find good price here.
These just dropped today @west hornet ,opinion?
Ill have to look later, working
probably solid
Damn, looks great
Supports 32 bit ...audio...lol.
Good luck hearing the quality
The ear won't
BET YOU THINK PEOPLE CANT SEE PAST 30 FPS EITHER
YES I DO!
Actually anything over 24 FPS is excessive and is inconceivable
And it's not the eye that's the problem, but the universe....the laws of physics state that nothing moves faster than 24 frames per second
It's a universal constant
Look at movies...why are they all 24fps?
Hmm?????
Any good recommendations for a Mac keyboard/mouse combo that either comes with a usb-c dongle or can be connected directly to Bluetooth? Preferably not more than $50
I need a mouse recommendation
Ok
shoutout to the neo ergo for being delayed permanently
my lease finna expire before i get the damn keyboard
anyone have any xbox controller with back paddle reccomendations
looking at 3 options
scuf valor pro ($100)
razer wolverine v3 tournament ($100)
Flydigi Vader 4 pro ($80)
hear insane things about the vader 4 wondering if anyone here has experience with any of these
Designed to play cross platform. Officially licensed by Xbox. Available in Jade, Black, and White editions.
For Xbox this is wired only fyi
Sup what are the best full sized he keyboards? Only ones I have looked at are wooting two he and keychron q6 he
Razer Blackwidow V4 imo
Is razer still a credible company though?
i got a headset/kb from them, they're next to flawless
doesn't come with a keycap puller tho :P
Really just depends. They make some good stuff and some bad stuff
I don’t like their software
The blackshark mic is pretty good
The headphone quality is not great
But for a cheapo headset its not a bad choice
My keyboard remembers its rgb setting so I don’t have to run any software
Full size isn't really a popular option for custom keyboards, Q6 HE is likely your best option right now unless you're willing to do 75%/tkl, it's probably too new to be on woot, but worth checking woot here and there since it tends to be so cheap on woot.
Woot as in the Amazon refurb/open box site, unrelated to wooting
Eh I love my full size
... that sounded weird now that I think abt it
It's not a popular option for custom keyboards, 80% of everything is 60-80%, and then another 10% is alice and other wonky layouts
And then part of the rest is stuff like 94%
Very few actual full size keyboards
Alice?
Can anyone recommend an external Blu Ray drive?
Don't think most people have experience with that
I still have a bluray😂
That's because it takes a few weeks to get used to and then you'll feel like everything else feels terrible
Unfortunate. It was either the q6 he or going with a tkl+numpad seperately
They revamped it somewhat recently and at least for me it's better
Unfortunately don't think there's HE numpads yet, or at least I don't know of any
Nah I meant HE tkl keyboard, regular numpad
Doable but prob expensive?
Yeah😕
Probably still better than the giant 250 dollar q6 he
Keep an eye out on woot, I remember seeing like a og q4 for ~$80
I don’t think they sell versions other than the regular
And since Keychron sells a lot through Amazon it's always possible they have stock that gets returned
It’ll prolly be months or years for HE keyboards to have low demand😅
High demand does mean more possibility something gets returned lol
But anyways had to mention it considering it's like >50% off if it does show up
Keychron does have a bit of a quality check issue sometimes so hopefully
They do have a tendency of waiting for people to talk about it before fixing things after the fact
Like adding acoustic foam to everything Q series after people complained about Q1 sounds
Unless your chair wheels work fine on carpet, avoid any carpet type mats
But also honestly personally I prefer using the replacement casters for chairs that don't damage hardwood
That way you can roll around more without fear of damage anywhere
Damn, it's too late to consider that now
Last time I modified my castors I chipped my nails, floor and broke the castor
Never again
How did you achieve that
Though in my case I bought the nicer casters with the chair
So I didn't have to pull out the old ones
At the same time*
Just out of curiosity are they hard plastic casters or do they have rubber feet
@west hornet
Lemme know how they are
@west hornet on Val with and without the sound EQ profile sounds kinda doodoo. Positioning is eh
what about music though
decent seperation
actually decent imaging
bass is common iem quality, not a lot a punch but its still
this is with eq set to reset/default
with highest rating music community config
music is about 8/10 rating for me so far with what i listen to, just need to find something it doesnt like
they're like the wheels you see on roller blades
so they're kinda big wheels and raises the chair about 2-3cm? compared to the original casters
but they're way quieter than my old chair with the casters
theo is boomer, got facebook open 💀
talking to friend on messanger about the con hotel room
Ah I see
@west hornet @neon root the shiny shell is already scratched up from 2 hours of usage

The default EQ focuses a lot on instruments than vocals forsure

Oh boy
Average v shaped curve
@dapper adder
just ran into this when looking, what the frick are these metrics

I have a razer basilisk ultimate wireless mouse, the scroll wheel is acting up.
if i scroll down or up it jumps. Any tips on how to clean it out or recommendation for a suitable replacement?
going to hit it with compressed air here in case something is in it
I got a Logitech G305 light speed as a replacement for my Razer Basilisk X and it feels quite similar, maybe slightly smaller.
Hm
whats a good 240hz oled 1440p monitor?
https://www.reddit.com/r/MousepadReview/s/jRvVwPegS6
which one of you was this?
my b
Definitely wolf
Not sure if this would be the right channel, but im looking for a USB Mic Mixer. Like go xlr's but one i can use for My mic. If i need to get a cable too thats fine just want this to work
My Mic > https://samsontech.com/products/microphones/usb-microphones/gtrackpro/
G-Track Pro is a USB microphone with an instrument input and mixer for recording two independent audio channels at one time.
You probably only have 2 options. One is to use a software mixer instead with a macropad for physical buttons if that is what yoy are after. The other is to use a hardware mixer similar to products by goxlr or behringer and feed the input monitoring port from the mic into the mixer.
Depends what kind of features and routing you are looking for but it is a bit limited since it is a usb mic, mixers do not take straight digital signals like that usually.
are wireless headphones bad for gaming
if i grab a bluetooth card maybe its not that bad?
to beef bandwith or something idk
The actual latency from Bluetooth isn't that bad, it's mainly that the sound quality typically sucks
Wireless should be fine if it comes with a 2.4gz dongle
I wouldn't use Bluetooth for gaming personally
bluetooth is not great with latency, even the newer bluetooth standards
well it doenst need to be bluetooth ig
like how wireless mice arent bluetooth always
JP! I finally bought a monitor lol. Aw3225qf
Decent monitor. Hope you like it
only decent. bruh
I’ve seen in person. Purple tint
I also bought a custom keyboard for 50 USD!
I dont really see it, same panel as asus
asus got that too
now all I need is a razer viper v3 pro
and a headset...
what else are essentials
So i got 1 4k 240hz monitor, 2 24 inch vertical 1080 p monitors, a pc, a keyboard, no mousepad, no headset, no speaker bar, no mouse, I have a desk and a chair
what headset and mousepad and any additional stuff should I get?
@hushed root
If you want some great mouses, ask ghost or wolf.i keep forgotten who, but one of them is a mouse enthusiast.
As for headphones….hmm
I know for mouse tge general consensus is currently the razer viper v3 pro, OH and I also need a microphone
@west hornet @neon root
What’s your budget for the headphones?
anything below 500 cad lol, will probably buy from used marketplace anyways
Look up the Audeze Maxwell
nah thats not a good headphone
Lmao
Ok…hm
I’m getting mixed reviews from it….sigh
Pc38x
Any recommendations for 60-75% keyboards that are silent and sub $150 or would I need to custom build it
Keyboard Specifications: Wired Gasket Mount Design 75% Layout PCB: 1.6mm, with Ai03 DB 5° Typing angle 22.14 mm front height Dimension: 323.6 x 145.78 x 34.73 (mm) Default plate: Alu Case Material: 6063 Aluminum Case Finish: Anodized+Infill (No Sparkles, No Chamfer) Backplate and External Weight: Anodized+Infill Switch
not quite sub 150 but i really like it
sorry if that's not quite helpful 😅
I don't like how my mouse doesn't glide very smoothly on my mousepad anymore. Are glass mousepads good for that?
I have to rely a lot on straffing for my aim because I apply a lot of pressure to my mouse causing it to get pressed into the mousepad.
if you push into your mousepad a lot, i think glass might not be a good idea
it will slide very easily and you wont have much control
maybe a cloth pad with a faster surface?
you have mouse skates?
every mouse skate site feels sketchy but theyre usually fine, im using some obsidian ones that work well
mouse skates? I don't know a lot about mouses.
I am currently using a Razer Basilisk V3.
https://www.amazon.com/Rounded-Curved-Compatible-Basilisk-Wireless/dp/B0CLCRLN2Y?th=1 something like this
basically they just reduce friction
and they're dirt cheap
gotcha.
are those better than the stock ones?
this is tempting
The bottom of the mouse comes stock with skates.
off topic but I am a LT720 fan.
Noticed your username.
hah
nice
this nickname is very old, maybe 3 years now
theyre good aios
mhmm agreed.
I have enjoyed my LT720 for a while now.
If the issue is coming from pressing the mouse into the pad, maybe look for a thinner cloth pad
New skates won't necessarily help
Glass mouse pad might help?
Or bigger skates
Or try not to push down as hard
Use a grip that doesn't make you push down
Like claw
claw grip is so buns 😿
some people find a lot of success but from my experience thats usually higher level players
Gotcha. So to better describe it
My wrist is usually pressing pretty firm onto the cloth but it feels like my mouse is experiencing a lot of friction when moving across the pad.
I use a slightly different claw grip to make up for the shaking in my hands.
Hmm
Just the mouse feels the friction?
Maybe you just need to upgrade your skates then
Or maybe your pad still
Use virgin PTFE (Teflon) skates (will be always white coloured) or glass skates and those are generally more smooth
so im having an issue with my characters in games moving after letting go or pressing multiple keys at once and it seems to register them late not sure what is going on ive looked up solutions and nothing has worked
you could try and download a keytester and see what's happening
Is this a membrane keeb?
Could be a game bug, could be keyboard not having nkro, could be keys getting stuck
It’s the ducky one 3 80% but it was doing the same with my old keyboard
That has nkro, game bug seems more likely
Hmm it does it in all my games I’m just not sure what it would be
Damn
I have rdb2000 speakrs from edifier (something like that, not sure about the model name) they costed me like 300$ around 5 years ago, should I get the new QR65 from edifier for gaming? - https://www.edifier.com/global/p/wireless-speakers/qr65
I can spend like 600$ on speakers and the qr65 are 300$, what should i get?
For gaming I think you should spend the $ on headphones
Speakers with a charger? That's honestly kinda crazy
I am very confused as to why someone would need wireless for that style of speaker
I rather speakers, had audeze mobius and still I rather speakers
@west hornet potential new hatsune miku wallhack pad thats probably gonna be exclusive to japan and will be hard for me to get
time for third party seller again
not again
and considering they liked my comment, more than likely it is hatsune miku and not just a blue waifu
ye, the hair ribbon is whats telling me its her
Decided to purchase some grip pads
theyre pretty good
think its btl that i used
forgor if its them or someone else that i used
Sweaty hands
@west hornet WAIT, IT WAS POSTED ON THE MAIN ACCOUNT
they only did giveaways for the last miku pad on the main account, they didnt announce it, only on the japan account
maybe i wont have to do third party seller
300usd 💀
it already looks so good 😭
price for the last one was like $130 or something like that, i paid like $180 though cause third party seller
I HAVE A CHANCE
Lmao
Do I buy it just for clout
Add me to the list
As if
22nd
@neon root ping when available
So one day I turned my pc off and then I turned it back on the next day and non of my rgb fans or my aio screen turned on. The fans themselves still work but the rgb doesn’t.
Anyone know any good, slim and cheap iems?
I'm using Tangzu Wan'er's and the cable is dying
scratch that, the actual earpiece died
@west hornet only 3000 units 😔
im hoping its a multiple drop thing where its 3000 now, and then like another 3000 at another date and not just only 3000 worldwide
wow that's really pretty
oh ye, looks like theyre doing multiple drops, 3000 for this first one and they plan on doing others later and putting some up on their amazon storefront as well
post says "...in stages thereafter." so it seems they plan on doing a few drops
probably depends how much they will sell
its miku
the one i have was exclusive to japan only and sold out in a few minutes
a pad worldwide? gonna sell out very quickly
Oh that’s right
Sorry theocoin value dropped
Also I heard we won't be able to buy because of Amazon jp?
itll be available through wallhacks website and then later on through amazon storefront but im pretty sure itll only be on the japan amazon storefront and not the american one which ye, wont be available to buy through amazon japan since they dont do international shipping for it
i'm looking for the best high-end build quality wired fps mouse
Tbh I think most high end mice at this point are wireless
With a good wifi dongle the latency is just as good as wired
I've heard good things about the viper v3 pro
https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice/razer-viper-v3-pro
But I don't think there's an objectively best mouse. Some people prefer different shapes
i own the deathadder v2 and the build quality is worse than a 10 USD chinese mouse!

razer build quality is not bad, it's disaster
So you're saying that Razer has improved the quality of its mice over the years?
Model matters more than brand. Brands have different models that fall into different price segments
Most razer mice are still a pretty good option
Everything else is a toss
