Continuation of my dilemma yesterday:

I made sure everything was set up for my 3070, drivers clean installed, did a whole bunch of bios stuff, did whatever i could with nvidia control panel, and armour crate, everything should've been fine but still no performance.

I plugged my 2070 back in without doing any drivers work and its already back to normal performance wise

Hey, so my pc has been experiencing an issue where it stutters for about 1-2 seconds and when it does the screen kinda freezes and the audio makes a BRRR sound(kinda like hardcore static) and then my fps just gets screwy. like, it stays really low no matter if i restart the game or go to a new game. i have to restart my pc completely and it would usually fix the issue. i have no idea what is causing it. it just happens completely randomly such as me just browsing google or even playing a game like valorant/CSGO/planetside 2. the stuttering just attacks out of nowhere.

now, after it stutters, i check afterburner and HWiNFO64 it shows random CPU cores spiking really hard and nothing too crazy on my gpu.

things i've tried: updating bios and ALL of my drivers (i had to learn how to do it manually with DriverEasy). I ran my Norton and downloaded and ran Malwarebytes and got nothing. I also reinstalled windows to see if there were any messed up files.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do? maybe i'll try downclocking my cpu and see how that works. my rig is only a month or so old and i really hope nothing is messed up :(

If that doesn't work, try:

Repeat as necessary

The 3060 definitely is, the 3060 ti like 95% chance it is, no new cards are lhr anymore and that build the 3060 ti model varies

If it's a prebuilt like that, you're pretty much guaranteed a lhr card

I’m thinking of selling my 2080ti (asus rog strix 2080 ti) and getting a 3080. I bought it for $1200 and I’ve only had it for a year so, it shouldn’t be too hard to sell. I have seen many different prices for the 2080ti. What’s the going rate/ average selling price of a used 2080ti?
