Meh, I can wait I guess, I wouldnt pay 1800$ for that Zotac tho, someones smokin something...lol
can someone give me a 3090 so I can play among us in 4k?
Lol
good call personally i dont like zotac
yes i need your social security number

Just mentioning it as ppl might not know it's the same board by board basis yanoo
oh lemme go get it i'll brb
lol
I have a Zotac 2070 Super Mini, its a good card, well has been for a year now. Im not a fan of them anymore tho since all the GFX card stupidity
true dat
i think someone won that
You could run among us in 4k and still get 30fps on intel igpu i stg
probably a correct asumption
Yeah someone earlier was celebrating
@lone pond Interesting
GPU buddies ๐
Well I'm obvs not gonna recommend a board within flashback jejeeez
that beautiful
I won a 3060 Ti awhile back, bought it then said nah and returned it coz I already have a 2060 Super lol
damn
Well, helps when you have a spare CPU and GPU right?
That's a fine price for it but it usually sits up near 200$
yeah
Had a 10700k and a 2060 Super laying around
You didn't sell it on?
I wonder how the graphics are on the 11900k
i bought it at 200
Dont have to scalp it to sell it
still a good price though
its usually 210 so
Too much hassle then? I dunno, I just turned the shipment around, never hit my doorstep @heady turtle
No that's a 150$ board mb plus 50$ for rog branding
well
Fair enough lol
๐
Yes
You could have easily made msrp sheesh
Yep
Oof really?
My go to nice premium board is for ryzen is b550 gaming edge wifi
Is that a now price or when z390 was relevant tho
What motherboard are you running atm with your 3200g btw?
Read again pls
rn its a ASRock B450m Pro4 :/, i got kinda ripped of as it was a prebuilt at $750 usd
it does work though
That's a good board, i would just keep that and return your b550
for a 5900x?
Fair enough
Ehhhh idk what the vrms are like off the top of my head and i need to bed so I'm not gonna say yes but also not no
I still have my old 4930k on a Rampage IV Black Edition Mobo and GTX 780 lol Honestly its still kinda beasty.
also thoughts on the Gigabyte z390 Gaming X? i know its not relivant to the coveration but i used to have one
it has horrible vrms from what ive heard, im to much of a scared-ey cat to try to do anything
oh also night
Any win/lose notifications yet
?
Shuffle
i just reailzed, why did you have a cat in PC at one point?
lmao
extra performance?
yes
My buddy just won the evga 3080ti combo
Grats, thats the one I wanted lol
tell him to buy a lottery ticket RN
Heh. He offered it to me at cost.
Mainly because I won a 3060 and gave it to him at cost
at cost?
I pay what he pays.
nice friend you got there xD
Yeah heโs a good kid
ill pay my liver
enjoy the 3080ti now ig
and ill toss i my spleen too

Iโm gonna let him keep it. He deserves it after upgrading from a gtx960 to a 3060
ah, you gonna buy back the 3060?
Nope
I won twice in 2 weeks
I have a 3060 and 3070 in 2 or the builds here already
how many gpus do you guys have in total
thats not realistic for anyone else
I won 2 3060s a 6700xt and 2 3070s
I bought those
I also won a 6900xt and a 3090 but I didnโt want to pay that much
dude hacked the servers to let himself win everytime hehe
bruh
do you own half of the newegg accounts?
Iโve had an account since they went on line.
bro he owns all of them lmao
Well if it makes you feel good. I havenโt won since the anniversary shuffle
that makes me feel worse
considering how long (or shall i say short) it took you to win 10 time
And now I only enter for evga 3080-3090 and the Xbox X
please share your secrets, it's for educational reasons
like acc educational reason, im definitely not gonna go out and follow your tips
bro i need a 3080
the xbox isn't that hard to get anymore tbh
bro start a YT channel yout gonna be the biggest tech channel
if you share your tips
linus tech tips ๐
idk
at this point, this man is linus lmao
would explain how hes selling them at MSRP (ik why he is but dont mind that
i was tryna do that
your a diff bread lmao
cough cough, canada
its literally sad for canada at this point; first, we dont even get stock in the first place; two, our msrps are like 75 more than the us (for the evga 3070)
yea obviously
after exchange i meant
btw
sadly
yup
for me a $920 USD product has about $50

from amazon
if that metters

good idea
yes
If all the states had the same tax rate.............
Ah, I see what you mean now
Like the shelf price is with tax included
Also depends greatly on where you shop
Safeway is ridiculous
while Winco is much cheaper
We go because convenience
Nice!
Good food shouldn't be so expensive :/
Wife and I were in a hurry the other day and it was $26 for two of us at Burger King, like WTH
It wasn't even anything big lol

If the VGA post light comes on and stays on the whole time I use my PC should I be worried?
Your best bet would be to look at the manual of your motherboard
Ye
Usually doesn't boot if that might is on lol
I've got a GTX 1080-Ti FE and it stopped working after updating motherboard BIOS. Would assume swapping board would be a viable solution but might as well see what you guys say
The slight RGB on the front and the fans will not spin either so honestly no clue
Did you update to a beta bios?
There's usually not a beta bios section it's usually just the most recent bios lol, what board and what version
Gigabyte Z490, can check exact model when I get home. And will check my downloads folder for version
Yeah you'd want the exact board first
When is AMD's drop on Thursday?
Also, who else is ready to lose the shuffle tonight? ๐ญ
AMD dropped more than GPUs. Two days ago, they also released their FidelityFX Super Resolution updates, which is their version of nVidia's DLSS
Well, that needs to be baked into games like DLSS does
It is getting that way. On release day, there were 7 games it was baked into, Anno 1800 being one of them
AMD's FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening is AMD's version of RayTracing, and one of the games CAS is baked into is Shadow of the Tomb Raider
RayTracing and DLSS are nVidia proprietary technologies. AMD couldn't use them because nVidia wouldn't let AMD use them, so AMD had to come up with its own versions
Sigh
Fidelity FX isn't ray tracing nor is it DLSS
AMD cards already supported Ray Tracing
Well, whatever it is, I'm very familiar with the GPU war between nVidia and AMD and how the two don't always share technologies with each other
Most of us are.........
We have hoped FidelityFX Super Resolution, FSR, will compete with DLSS, and at first glance, it has the ability to jump-start our performance. But looking deeper, Super Resolution looks like the visual quality is less than stellar. The performance looks good though!
Here's a brief vid to discuss the problems I saw with the FidelityFX announce...
It's not even really a competitor for DLSS, it's different
Amds version of ray tracing is ray tracing XD
It's just upscaling and sharpening
isnt it like DLSS
This content compares AMDโs new FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) image quality, benchmark performance, and defines how it works. Weโll also talk about CAS and DLSS.
Sponsor: Crucial X6 External SSD on Amazon https://geni.us/mMN0
Our benchmark comparisons for the FSR comparison were done (initially) with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, an APU that we th...
And yet the way people talk about RayTracing, they make it seem as if it can only be used if you have an nVidia RTX card
^
I've been a Linux user since '09 and nVidia has never been willing to release reliable or decent drivers for Linux. AMD's drivers on Linux have always been better than nVidia's drivers, at least from my experience.
Kind of
I've always used Ubuntu or its derivatives
literally installs nvidia drivers
The Noveau drivers are what come with the OS
No lol you have to have a 2000/3000 nvidia or 6000 series amd, Nvidia is just better at it atm because they have done it before lol
Linus torvalds literally said F you NVIDIA I'm sure after that they dont wanna release competent linux drivers jk
Pop os or linux mint are nice distros yeah
hm
That's why I prefer AMD. AMD's open-source drivers using MESA are nearly as good as their proprietary drivers in the current state...I don't normally have any issues with stability, and real-world performance is either on par with or only a few fps off of the Windows-based benchmark videos I find on Youtube
Linux mint best
It's not terrible, even for msi lol
If I could get a Radeon RX 6700 for that price, I'd be happy. I don't really have a need for the 6900XT
I'm not sure how many people actually enter for the cards over 400 bucks
6900xt the highest end card, just like the 3090 the highest end card will be the card nobody really needs at all and is usually the worst value
the 3070ti and 3080ti are just
NO
I mean if all you can get is a 3070ti it isn't that bad
but a 3080ti is bad in almost all situations
for 500 more
And yet, people line up for days just to get their hands on the 3090 or even a 3080, "because I want to chase the 200+Hz refresh rate on a 4k monitor"
3080 isn't that bad at all
3080 pretty decent value
To me it is like buying a Tesla. Get up into that level and it is more about social status and bragging rights than anything else. Makes me wonder what they're trying to compensate for.
If comparing a bad GPU test to a bad GPU test is considered valid, I guess so. Better to use game to game FPS/resolution comparison or something like 3DMark
what
Speaking of, I did test AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution on Anno 1800 on the ultra preset
some people actually require that kind of power
^
and some just really want a better gaming experience and have the money
people can buy whatever they want with their money kek
not everyone brags about buying a 3080 tho
Rendering on a 3090 is pretty POG
3080 too, when it comes to production, AMD just doesn't have what nvidia does
only a certain number of people do that
^some people have a 3080 but just say they have a 3080 and don't rub it in people's faces or try to make it some sort of hierarchy
Some people buy cards like the 3090 just to prove they have it. Social status, mainly.
some
thats only a number of people
not all
your statement implied anyone who buys a 3080 or above does it solely for that purpose
more people have a 3080 but honestly can give less care about bragging
I would be pretty happy if i got a 3080
Unless they're doing 4k gaming, crypto mining, or things like that, I don't see why they buy cards like that.
rendering.
rendering
among other applications
Blender, GIS rendering, CAD work, tons of uses for it.
and they could crypto mine if they want
thanks, vintage
also crypto mining in your own home is fine lol
theres no problem with that
^
Only problem I have with it is when you buy out a store's entire stock of a specific GPU just so you can mine faster
The people who buy it just to flex are outliers
-_-
miners are only 10-15% of the market
^
the people who buy entire stock just to mine better are also outliers compared to the entire market
PC Demand skyrocketed, up 26% at the end of last year
Yea, most buy a couple of cards or buy used
People working from home, needing PC's. Kids needing PC's for school and other things, it's nuts if you check the stats and not just techtubers blaming miners for views
Try $1,000 more in Canada ๐คฃ
The chip shortage isn't helping matters much..
but it's all the miners fault the market is broken reee
tbh there is more demand for gpus when it comes to pc gaming rather than demand from mining and scalping
kek msrp don't exist no more
wasn't there a news article
that wrote about some 17 year old or something
doing that exact thing
and wrote it like a frickin autobiography?
Isn't that what miners are doing, too? Taking advantage of the demand to make a crap ton full of money on crypto?
Not really
Have you seen crypto prices lately?
XD
not really, some are gamers who just mine to get back some money from their big gpu purchase or something
they've been an oof last i heard
Have you seen the resistance to crypto's acceptance as a currency?
That's a topic for another channel ๐
I look at it this way: When the market is functioning properly, miners being 10 to 15 percent of the demand isn't a problem. But that 10 to 15 percent of the demand becomes noticeable when a significant portion of the market is overwhelmed or experiencing shortages
It's still only 10-15% lol
nvidia released 9 million GPU's 4th quarter of last year
That means 8.1 million cards went to non-miners
It has never been as simple as "why can't they just make more cards"
miners and scalpers aren't the problem it is the gamers
Never said it was
Look at the CPU demand as well, it's not just GPU's
The journey to find an msrp 5950x
I don't see how "It's the gamers" makes sense when even budget GPUs like the 5500XT and those others are also experiencing shortages
Don't forget about their dog
and work, is not just word processing and reading emails
^
It's the pron
I've never seen graphics cards this lively

LMAO
How about we come to the conclusion everyone is bad
makes sense, right
I've never seen graphics cards this expensive. Prices nearly doubled at their peak. What used to be affordable cards are now unaffordable
kekw
I'm talking about this channel
not
Don't overlook the CPU market as well. Even Microcenter was scalping AMD CPU's at one point
the actual market

to be fair, it's not wrong either
LMAO
gpu market has been pretty active
I'd buy that
LMAO 3080 TIE
I'd wear that to the next wedding I'd have to go to kek
Can walk around saying "finally got my 3080 Ti"
Hence why I am not in any hurry to upgrade. Besides, I have yet to find a game or app that maxes out the Ryzen 5 3600 anyway
i mean, it depends on the game or app
Shouldn't be too hard with the right settings and refresh rate ๐
I got a random qs, in gaming the core i5 11400 stock performs near a 5600x, right?
I don't do anything in Blender. Shadow of the Tomb Raider and X Rebirth are the only two that hit my CPU hard, but even then, 60% all-core at the most
No game but cyberpunk will use all 6 cores lol but it will use all of your single core potential which is what games use, also csgo, valorant etc will max out a 3600 basically
Within 10%
well, usually
okay thats nice
i mean, what about anno or any other cpu intensive games
blender can use GPU for render
I got a cursed motherboard and cpu combo, kek
@thick cliff
Anno 1800, which is what I tested FidelityFX Super Resolution on, doesn't really hit my CPU hard unless I turn off Super Resolution, and even then, it barely scratches the Ryzen 5 3600. I think the highest CPU utilization I saw during my testing was 30% all-core
Only two games I play that don't max out the Radeon RX 5500XT are Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and X Rebirth
I swear this guy can't read my messages lol
apparently he cannot
back to python
X Rebirth is actually very CPU intensive, devoting one thread each to rendering, AI, pathfinding, and simulation
Computers do more than gaming and mining.
Video editing, 3d modelling, both can be intensive when rendering things. Especially when animating complex scenes. The difference between a 3060ti and a 3090 are veeeery apparent when rendering things. Not to mention futureproofing.
Got my 3060ti for MSRP in feb, my 3080 on backorder will be MSRP (or very close to) as well.
(Lmao my messages take 10 minutes to send again because of poor cell reception)
lol
I can't find a Radeon RX 5700XT for less than $700 these days. It's original price was right around $500
Hell, I remember when I got my Radeon RX 5500XT for $250 new. 5700XT was $550 new. Can't find the 5500XT for less than $400 now.

Shortage lol
That's what happens when you stop producing the GPU lol. Pretty sure AMD discontinued them earlier this year so there's limited stock left at AIB's. nVidia discontinued the 2000 series last July.
Even then. Have you seen the price of even the 6700XT? I can't afford that.
Then save for longer
nice
rip
The 6700xt just really isnโt good value for what you would pay even at MSRP
6000 series only starts to get good value wise at the 6800 and above
And the 6800s and above are well outside my budget. For my use cases, I don't think I'd really need a 6800, though
the 6800 and 6800xt are the best value cards in the lineup so far
anyone here with a 5700xt that doesn't support opengl for some reason? I've tried reseting and updating drivers but nothing. It should have open gl api ver 4.6 right?
The 6900xt is only really worth it at MSRP of 1000
Linux or Windows?
windows
Can you try Vulkan instead? OpenGL is deprecated and AMD's support/implementation on Windows is honestly garbo.
Depends on your game/software of course
yeah... is there a separate download for vulkan?
thought the software was package along side the radron graphic software
yes
AMD drivers should include Vulkan support, it's more the game/software you're running that has it or not.
mhm gotcha
Can confirm that they do
What are you trying to run?
Minecraft lol
Oh
wanted to check out the new update
Yeah, OpenGL and 5700XT crashes are well documented lol
oof
guess I can only wait for MC to be rewritten in something better than opengl then lol
The performance is also less on OpenGL
I have a comparatively small list of games that I play. I don't use blender, I don't use my computer for CAD, only additional load is screen recording while I am gaming, but beyond that, nothing. Those games? ARK Survival Evolved, X Rebirth, Company of Heroes 2, BattleTech, Anno 1800, The Sims 3, Tropico 6, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Wolfenstein Youngblood, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Occasionally Star Conflict. Monitor is a 1080p@144Hz AMD FreeSync Monitor. I peg 144fps in ARK Survival Evolved and X Rebirth on the ultra presets already, and I get 72fps on Shadow of the Tomb Raider on the High preset, but I only get about 48fps on Deus Ex Mankind Divided and about 58fps on Anno 1800 with FidelityFX Super Resolution in Performance mode. And this is on a Radeon RX 5500XT. I'd be happy with 75fps on Deus Ex Mankind Divided on the High preset, but I don't know what GPU would get me there
thanks for the help tho!
Mankind divided is so poorly optimized it's disgusting
Good game, good storyline, good graphics, horrible performance
I run Anno 1800 and The Sims 3 through Lutris using DXVK, but like I said, I'd be happy with 75fps average on Anno 1800
My FidelityFX Super Resolution Anno 1800 test was on the Ultra preset with Super Resolution in performance mode, and that's what got me the 58fps. For the games I play that run natively on Linux (thanks to Feral Interactive), lowest is Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Every other game except Tropico 6 is 70fps or above.
Once again, 480 msrp, upped due to shortage
In terms of "future-proofing", my realistic goal is 75fps average in my games while running VR, and I want to get my rig to be VR capable, not so much 4K gaming capable
If you have a 5500xt and a low budget we can't really recommend a card you can reliably get at a price I'd keep the 5500xt, tune some settings and wait it out
No machine is realistically 4k gaming capable bar a 3090 and 5900x
Even then it's a stretch
5500xt should be vr capable
Idk how it will be but it will run
It is VR capable, but I don't know at what framerates, and I have no intention of buying the Oculus now that Facebook owns them
That willl highly depend on the game, settings and resolution
Kind of why I am glad that AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution is getting me better performance on Anno 1800. I run Anno 1800 on the ultra preset and I practically need FXSR to even have a good experience.
Well duh lol
Bandaid solution really, at least until GPU prices go back down
Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Anno 1800, and Tropico 6 are the only games that the 5500XT struggles with. All the rest, I get 70fps+ on the high or ultra presets. It also helps that X Rebirth and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are multithreaded games. All the rest appear to be single-core. AMD Precision Boost Overdrive helps a little bit with that, overclocking the CPU cores to a per-core 4.1GHz as needed
I'd just drop a few performance heavy settings and play it as is until the market recovers and buy a card then.
Prices are already declining heavily
(My reply took 16 minutes to send because my lunchroom is basically a Faraday cage, fml)
In the meanwhile, how reliable are real-world benchmarks like what I did with Anno 1800 and the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution
Why are you running it on ultra when your PC can't handle it without FXSR?
Benchmarking purposes, mainly.
Plus, I wanted to see exactly what difference FXSR made to the graphics quality, if I could actually notice a difference when the graphics preset was already as high as it could go
i can't play on ultra without fxsr
i mainly run it on ultra for benchmarking
Lol
Yeah imo drop details before res/turn on fxr
That's what my next step was going to be anyway, drop the graphics preset and tweak the FXSR to see how I can achieve the best balance of quality and performance
I did actually run with FXSR in Performance mode, Quality mode, and turned off completely, netting 58fps, 40fps, and 24fps on the ultra graphics preset, respectively
When I don't have to work, I'll try again on the High and Medium presets
Best buy dropped like 1 card
anyone here been to a micro center since the gpu shortage? if i get unlucky with the newegg raffle, than i may have to resort to go to MC
I go to microcenter almost every week just to pick up stuff, GPUs are quite common in the microcenters near me
I picked up a 3070 and 6800xt without having to wait on a line
Am I allowed to post links here?
Yeah youโre fine I think
https://www.reddit.com/r/hardwareswap/comments/o74tx3/usatn_h_non_lhr_zotac_white_dual_fan_rtx_3070_w/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share thus guy is selling a white zotac 3070 for 950$ if any of yall have been looking for one
Ik its not msrp but it's atleast better than ebay
Personally I wouldnโt go for a 2 fan 3070 nor any zotac cards
Honestly bout as good as they come for white cards lol
where though? i feel like this is one underground that no one knows about lol
Yeah but white cards are near impossible to find
New York
I have 4 of them within an hour of me
Westbury, Flushing, Brooklyn and Yonkers
Nearest microcenter is 2h away in mass
Tbf, CT doesn't actually exist
Everyone knows it's just newyork and Massachusetts
Lmao
Then yeah Iโd go for it if youโre not planning to OC at all
which one? thatโs like a 5 hour drive one way, doable
I was posting it for of anyone here is looking for one
i think at least
I've got my 3060 ti
All of them are fairly reliable
nvm itโs like 9 h drive to buffulo
Jesus
i could still do it though maybe
I think its four or five for me
Yeah I wouldnโt do the 9Hr drive just for a chance
With a 9hr drive after tolls you'd be better off buying a scalped card
Also if youโre looking for an Nvidia card those chances drop a lot lower
Thats 18hr of gas
Me too
if anyone here goes to the one in mass, is that one decent? cause thatโs the closest one
I've never been
AMD has a lot higher chances of getting a card
I also wish i was closer to micro center true bacca XE
Yeah lol
buffulo is what i though of lol
I ended up going pre build bc of how far away mine is
Went from 1200$ to over 1800$ because f skytech
3060 ti and 3600
Coulda built a 3070 system for less than that
Hell my friend built a 3080 5800x system for 1800
have you been to the one in cambridge recently? it would be really stupid cause it like 4h 1 way but you know
Nope only been to the ones in New York
Supposedly AMD partnered with Epic for UE5. I don't know where the improvements will be but I'd hope production would have some improvements
All the GPU's will have improvements
Well yeah.
I wanna go hommmmeee
Oof where are you atm?
I deployed last November lol. I'm in the Middle East. Hence why it's night for me during the shuffles lol
9pm right now
Ahhg what do you do? It be 7pm for me so i mean time aint to bad but it is annoying when things in us are night time there and like early af morning here
I am a postal specialist so i work at an APO and handle mail
Well they need people here to handle mail. USPS is the one who actually trains people in the Air Force, Navy, Marines and Army
I seee
Army is the only one that only does post offices overseas so it's not it's own MOS like it is for the other branches.
I'm actually Human Resources just with an extra school ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Games are gonna look so good when i get home.
Got a 3080 waiting for me ๐ค
Ohhh didn't realize it was army post lol thought was regular and was v confused
It's all good lol.
Makes more sense

There were 3080FEs/XC3 Ultras in Eastern Canada though
MemX gets 6-12 GPUs per month and like 3 are 3080s of varying AIB partners
Ye
I was lucky with my BO of 3080 Vision/Suprim X back in January from MemX
There were several 3070tis/3080tis in stores in Calgary MemXs last week
I picked up my 3060ti eagle in December(?)
Wait how? Lol
Oh wait am I mixing up release dates
I'm being dumb yea
I read it as 3060 lmaooo
I picked up a 3070FE at release and a 3060ti FE at release as well
3070FE is my main rn, but I plan to go to 3080. I used to buy GPUs for friends and friends of friends hence the "ex-gpu service"
Or maybe that was when I bought the rest of my parts
Had my 3060ti Dec 18th after backordering on launch day. I ordered the 3080 strix same day
(Attempted to send these messages as 13:14, have been pending ever since. Stupid cell reception)
are the lines at most micro center still huge for 30 series cards, or are they back to be kinda normal? idk i kinda need to know
They usually have maybe 40-50 people at least by me
2 locations every shipment have over 100 people camping out
so it has calmed down in the past months since the 30 series came out? for most MCs at least?
Speak for yourself, all the MCs by me are completely fine with them and even encourage it at times
I was talking with employees at some of the locations by me and they recommended camping out if I wanted to get a card
When was this?
Very recently they started switching to shuffles
The one nearest me banned camping and started a shuffle maybe two weeks ago and they hadn't had issues as far as I know
https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4284366 if anyones interested in a 1650
most reasonably priced gpu ive seen in 2 years
Comes with a wack psu also bad ;-;
id personally be ok with that
Within the past month or two
The swap to shuffles is very recent so those MCs may have switched to shuffles and banning camping or may do so soon. From what I've heard it's a corporate decision so it likely impacts all MCs
Ahh ok thatโs good
Yeah, I'm unfortunately still too far from my "local" MC to try there unless I have some other reason to be in the area.
They should open up a GPU shuffle branch within like ten minutes of me
Did Best Buy drop today?
finally got a zotac 3080ti
how much
Barely
nice
There were a few 3060 cards on Amazon a little bit ago
Nooe
I havenโt seen them drop
Apparently 3070 tis on bb earlier
Anyone know when evga gonna email those who queued in November?
Damn I rlly want a 3080 smh
Go to the evga forum
They posted a current spreadsheet on there
I've been waiting for a while as well
2023 XD
Wouldn't doubt it ๐ฅฒ
BB did drop, it just seemed to be a tiny drop
People signed up in like sept and haven't gotten yet
Also wouldn't doubt
I've seen bb drops at 3am
They get two shipments per week
Probably best to go into the store
Ya that sucks
i keep finding broken Gpus online that always end up working just fine
people are stupid
Nice lol
ended up finessing a 2060 super for only $300
Nice
I got a 2080 ti for $1k
thats good considering the $1200 launch price and the current market
3080ti zotac for 1700 and i just accepted it
lowkey that isnt bad tho
Yeah thatโs why I jump on it, only downside was it was a single fan blower and loud af but I replaced the cooler with this
Before
I lucked out at Micro Center and finally got a 3080. They switched to a raffle system and I won the opportunity to buy a card. I was the 7th person chosen and I picked a 3080.
It was my first time trying this new raffle system of theirs. I would have already tried the camping out thing, but I never could manage to find a dry night to do it.
Do you guys think theyโll do a 3070 FE drop tmrw
does msi afterburner link not work at the moment?
You did just 3070 ties tho
so bb is still doing a drop today?
๐
@mellow glen it was 7 hours ago, most sold out in seconds but 3070 lastest for a good bit
damn thats wack i did not see it
rip guess theres next week
guess theres the next next week*
decent performance for OC?
Is that user benchmark?
whats good for benchmarking
yes
User benchmark is garbage.
3D Mark is good
You can even run Time Spy free
You can also just check your fps in games/game benchmarks
unigen superposition, 3dmark time spy, 3dmark fire strike, heck, gpupi works too
Amazon.com: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 V2 ARGB 3 in 1, 120mm Square Frame Fan, Customizable LEDS, Air Balance Curve Blade Design, Sealed Bearing, PWM Control for Computer Case and Liquid Radiator: Computers & Accessories
are these good fans?
Any estimates on when people have been getting here notifies for the 3080ti evga que?
So I have to try to get a replacement on my sapphire pulse Radeon rx 580 does anyone know if the company will be able to restock ?
That's not really accurate. Some weeks a GPU won't be sent out at all, others it'll go out several times. We don't really know how many gpus go out in a drop
We do know that EVGA has gotten to about 07:44:04 in that queue. It's not moving terribly fast and we know it could slow down even more, BUT I also wouldn't be too surprised if @formal apex got an offer to purchase within two to four weeks
Course that queue for EVGA could also go dark for month or start moving one second per drop
Yep, the uncertainty is certain. That and that you're best off trying other avenues as well as your wait is likely to be long. Iirc I am at 8:10 for that SKU ๐ซ
Ah I got that one at 6:43, I'm really hoping to get a 3080 though
Thanks for the info
No. That's worth $400 at best.
good deal on the secondhand market would be something like 500 or so
it'd cost around 400$ to buy retail
Hello the RTX 3060 got in stock where I live yesterday for about 500 usd is it worth it
I know that the 3060 ti is a better buy but it's still out of stock
The $500 price tag is high for what is essentially a 2060 super
I thought the 3060 was closer to the 2070 than the 2060 super?
1440p performance puts it at above the 2070 for most uses. Barely, but still. ๐คทโโ๏ธ It's essentially a 2070 with more (but also slower bandwidth) VRam
Nah basically a 2060 super
Huh weird
Trading blows doesn't make it a 2060 super though, because then wouldn't the 2060 super be basically a 2070 by that logic?
I'd like to see a 1080p chart because you can really see any differences then
Hmm
2070 ahead in some, 3060 ahead in some. And vice versa
What's the source btw?
https://graphicscardhub.com/rtx-3060-vs-rtx-2060-super-vs-rtx-2070/
Dunno how reliable. Was just looking for a comparison between them all
RTX 3060, RTX 2060 SUPER, and RTX 2070 Comparison with Gaming Benchmarks. GeForce RTX 3060 is a mainstream mid-range graphics card in the RTX 30 series from Nvidia. The card sits below the RTX 3060 Ti which is one of the best value high-end graphics cards in the market, along with Radeon RX 6800 from AMD. RTX 3060 officially replaces the RTX 206...
I think just like with console GPU's some games will perform well on them and it's hard to rate them when it's that close. Those are all within like 1% of each other on 1080p lol.
fair enough, but even if its the same as a 2070, the $500 is too much. If you are desperate, then go for it, but if you can wait, there are signs that prices will be coming down
Reason: Bad word usage
St Louis Park, MN microcenter restocked GPU's. 3080s, a 3090, 3080 ti's and more :o
:0 they got a 2080 ti for 800$
:o
They are overpriced though.
3080 for 1,100, 3080 ti for 1,700 and 3090 for 2,200 lol
They the new msrps of 3080 and 90 tho tbh
Yeah 3080s dont go below 1k
Only useful if ya fancy a custom loop then :/
Ye of course
Once upon a time graphic cards were as bountiful as fruit hanging in a tree
Now itโs a barren landscape of a scalpers and bundles.
could buy an air cooler thingie
Ehhhh they kinda meh
Well some of em are
Wow, sounds beautiful
not
a poet enters the chat
Hey, least it brings em money lmao
Thatโs from Microcenter
That looks like some ubm crap
I feel bad for places like that hiring people who don't know a damm thing about pcs
I know it's from microcenter
What the actual f.....?
Quick question guys. Is $600 a bad price for a ROG Strix 1080Ti ?
What would be a good price?
Cause i know the market is messed up right now, so looking at the used market tells me nothing. Ebay is averaging 750-900 for that card
don't look at ebay for a good price for a card
i'd say 300-400 ish is a good price for a 1080ti ideally
Okay cool
Give the 1080 ti some slack, close enough to 3060 perf, I'd say 400-450 is decent in this market
Yeah, bought a 2080ti for $1k with a blower and it was loud af so I got this bad boy on Amazon and put it in
Itโs kept it down below like 40c if I remember right, with an oc and is silent so Iโd say worth the money so far
Nice
Easy to install as well
That's good
Check out Working on the computer,,, Come hang out.. !discord !youtube https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1055239287
Reason: Bad word usage
^pretty sure thatโs my crummy stream of the install lol
The image isn't loading for me. Internet is fairly slow
Itโs an aoi gpu cooler

Won't fit on a 30XX series huh?
Nice looks fairly decent
I donโt have one so Iโm not sure,
Looks like the mos has to be on the right, some of the comments ask about 30xx series and the reviews seem mixed. It did not come with specific 30xx series brackets I remember but they might be the same spacing as the 20xx idk
If your looking for aio on a gpu nzxt has a bracket to attach a cpu aio cooler to a gpu that may work
With the mem cooling issues with 30xx i don't think that would be great idea lol
True
๐ค I keep entering for the 3060 only because it's smaller than my 2070 super lol. Can put it in a tiny case easier
Lol
The case i have from Silverstone fits my GPU, but it blocks the HDD bay so i limited my expandability.
Should I go for a $150 970 or a $200 1060 3gb, it will be used for minecraft and forza horizon 4 mainly
970 beats it lol cuz 1060 3gb and 6gb different dies or something lol
Is a gaming laptop with a RTX 2060 for 900$ worth it?
What laptop?
I guess it depends on what else is included as far as specs go as well as condition.
The 2060 is decent for gaming though.
It'd be brand new
Guys, i need to watch for liquidation sales.
Id say go for it, only thing new ive seen thats around that price is a Dell @clever pagoda
Thats actually nice
Lenovo makes decent laptops
It's a refurbished laptop on a return. At least it's not one of the untested ones though lol
Not desktops though they suck now
Been scrolling through the website for a while
Mostly laptops and office pc's
Lots of monitors though and games.
I might get a pallet just for fun when i get home. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Ive never owned anything Lenovo so I dont have an opinion lol
My wife has an MSI GS75 Stealth, the 64 GB with 2080 Max q
She loves MSI for some reason lol Im more of an ASUS guy
I agree on the specs tho, cant beat the price too
The 7i desktops are pretty good last time I bought one a few months ago, 1600 for a 2080 super and 10700k with 32Gb of ram
Sorry really meant low end desktops
Only real negative thing ive heard about lenovo was their issue with bloatware, but that was years ago.
whats the latest version for amd adrenaline
Hp is ok tbh
I had an MSI laptop that served me well for five years. I retired it because it got old and the screen stopped working.
21.6.1 iirc
thanks
At some point I might take it apart to remove the hard drive and SSD.
What exactly does refurbished mean? isn't it not gud quality?
My gpu is refurbished and it works great
Do you know if they'd ship to guam?
I think it means it was broken or something was wrong with it and they fixed it and sold it back
so the laptop should be good than?
I guess yeah but maybe get warranty because there was a problem with the device before you bought it
I'm trying to figure out the difference between the xfx speedster merc319 and the xfx speedster qick319. Only difference i see is model number, and the qick was released a month later for $20 less
@clever pagoda Refurbished could be as simple as it was a return and they just cleaned it up and factory reset everything. Or maybe it had some minor scratches, etc. Otherwise brand new and not necessarily damaged.
Could have been returned because whoever bought it changed their mind
Dunno. It says they ship internationally. You can check on the website. Might be pricey
Wish they said what they refurbished on it
City a few hours away from me has like 30+ 3070ti bundles in stock.
What price
Oh thats good
$1,189 for the TUF 3070ti with a 750W PSU
Strix bundle is $1,249.99
I did say bundles
Well that's strix being strix
Hey everyone. I have an interesting question for you all, I want to make a clean white build, but a white gpu is way too much $$$$. So I thought if i simply paint the outer shell a nice white design, it would match for much cheaper cost. But my 6800 xt is the MERC 319 version. And I don't really want to paint that shell. If I buy a broken 6800xt from someone, or just the shell from an Asus ROG or an MSI branded 6800 xt GPU , will the electronics transfer into the new shell properly? Or are individual brand 6800xt cards custom fit to their cases? Thank you all for reading this, I look forward to your replies
Ehhh you can just take off the backplate/"shell" and then spray paint it but usually other models will not fit, no
I mean it's not huge, it's still coming with a PSU
Oof, alright then. I will keep a hold on that project then.
For a 3070 in cad? I mean it depends on the psu it comes with then tbh
Yeah either that or do a custom loop and find like a white gpu block or something lol
White build with black gpu can still look great tbh
Actually, a liquid cooled build is something I have yet to do... I think that is a better idea then painting the gpu. Thanks!
$1,249 for the 3070ti Strix and an ROG Strix 750W PSU
Just an fyi that is gonna be quite pricey
Np tho, gl trying to find a white block idk how common they are
Not terrible cuz ik that prices are a bit wack over in Canada
Yeah, if it was direct CAD to USD the 3070ti would be ~$800
But the 3080 Strix is $1,219.99, so at a $1,089.99 price point is hot garbage.
poop
Sounds about right for the white tax
I'm back in the game baby! 1400$ my own funds available, and atleast 700$ from my patreon, come hell or high water I am getting a card next month. 3080TI, 3080 if I'm desperate, and 3090 if I'm lucky
3080 if I'm desperate
Wat
I mean 3080TI is my target card
Why? It's such a blatant cash grab.
highway robbery prices (what you can find just on amazon etc) are 3k - 3500$ for a 3090
That's ebay prices
3080TI is 1800 - 2200$ it seems
actually amazon
but same dif
not official sellers
Here in canuckistan there's a $200 price difference between the 3080ti and 3090
Can you actually buy it though?
The problem isn't "official" prices, it's lack of available cards
Amazon has scalpers too, basically eBay sellers
Well, there we go, $2435.87 spent on PC parts, without a case. (Already have the case)
I know it does, but I'm getting a card next month, even if I'm paying scalper prices
Jeez 3080, 5900x?
none
no card for almost a year
it's ground my game development to almost a halt
I got sick of blender at 1 - 5fps
Ah, makes much more sense now
Gpu wise, rx 6700xt, CPU Ryzen 9 3900x
I came on a Canadian repatriation flight from Trinidad, back to canada, and transferred to my current home near Miami -- but I left my old gaming PC with my wife in Trinidad
that was in July last year
I thought hey, come October I'll buy a new PC
Amd Rx are actually close to MSRP and in stock
Yeah, I thought that too
Reason: Bad word usage
Oop
I wish I could recover what I typed to fix it, but ofcourse not in discord
I mean it's a bot function, not built in.
You spend 2.4k on 3900x and 6700xt??
So, I didn't have money available because STUFF happened, and couldn't get a PC til Dec - April, and ofcourse I've not been able to find a card
right, I mean discord doesn't have a show last typed message function though -- just last message on channel
3900x $469 6700xt $1019
Yeah, I got most of my parts and was stuck with a GTX 1070 for a few months
I'm surprised that's a filtered word... thems like total PG language rules
I'd have killed for a 1070
Wasn't anticipating the market to poop itself
haha yeah I don't thin any of us were
and when it started to, we all said -- okay, by January (feb, march) they are predicting availability to come back, so I just need to wait
Calgary, 3 hours south of me has 30+ 3070ti bundles in stock for $1,189-$1,269 CAD
Bundled with PSUs
I used to live there
I very much would love to get the 3090, but I can't rememdber the last time, outside of shuffle, that I've seen one for 3k or less
Hmm how is 6700xt 1k $ is close to msrp
I'm actually going to do shuffles til July 10
Yea, I've been waiting a year plus now. Went from no money to no part availability, to scalper prices, to stuff near MSRP (gpu i bought was actually like $30 under MSRP)
If it's AIB
AIB pricing is disgusting for Radeon cards this gen
I wish we could get close to MSRP here
heck, I've had a "backorder" sitting with a vendor for a 3080 since.... March
Oh , still you could get3060ti 3070 3070ti for less
Only part I got scalped on was my 5800X, the week after I could have bought a 5900X for the same price
I've had mine bacordered since December
that sucks... I sadly think I'll be paying scalper prices at this rate
I'm just sick of waiting
Oooof that 6700xt pricing :/
I feel that. I have a friend who picked up two 3090s in Huston
Was so salty
that card actually msrps for like $30 more
Ehh no it doesn't the msrp is 480...
I wish I could find one for that
i pulled up the manufacture page for the card i got. MSRP $1059
I'd GLADLY pay it
He's reselling for $2,500 US, which is like $3,074 CAD so I declined
There doesn't seem to be much in the way of brick and mortar sellers here in the Miami area
They straight up lying
6700XT is NOT worth that
isn't 6700XT the lower tier card (I'm not up on AMD)
It's between 3060 ti and 3070
damn, no way that makes sense for MSRP then
This is in CAD so multiply by 0.8
Doesn't make sense at 1000$ either and no dlss or nvenc or rtx broadcast
Yeah its not so good
But it might be in the future
There is rt on amd cards just equal to 20 series rt perf lol
oh indeed, DLSS 1.0 wasn't great
yeah, their RT did bad enough that they chose not to talk about it when the cards launched
Yeah but it will work on any gpu pretty much even intel igpu
Poor rhino got scalped hard :(
indeed, and that is great for people with older cards, or garbage cards like my integrated
Rhino?
nah, no scalp prices.
Mega scalp prices bro

pain
