To be fair current market pricing is somewhat accurate then. Sure if you’re lucky enough to find literally anything at msrp then 3070 is a better option, but good luck finding any reasonable prices.

The best thing to do honestly is just temporarily remove the old drive, install Windows on the new drive, then connect the old drive again. All your data will be right where you left it on the old drive, and you can copy over anything you need to run faster.

Try using nvidia control panel (if you have a nvidia gpu) to up the refresh rate if you haven't tried yet, it works best with 1080p but it's worth a shot
