Most of the aib cards cost more than the FE model during regular times, and now we have big tariffs on GPUs and a massive shortage. So it's no surprise the msrps are a bit high. If Nvidia didn't account for tariffs in the $329 msrp, and they don't appear to be impacted by tariffs on their FE cards, that'd bring the cost over $400 all on its own

The p500a has substantially more cpu cooler clearance and you can mount the fan higher up the fin stack to clear the RAM
So yes, a larger case will resolve this issue
For the p400a the only problem is you run out of cpu clearance when you try to move the fan up the stack

All that's going to happen is miners will still mine on the 3060 and they'll also buy overpriced mining cards that will be taking away precious silicon from gaming GPUs, and then to top it off none of those mining cards will help gamers in the used market after mining busts. My 3080 has memory chips on the backside so I set a few heatsinks right on top of the backplate while it's in my desktop. No more overheating from it.
