I totally know what is going on here
aluminum is 250 w/mk so it's common in more budget heatsinks
i don't want to imagine the price of a pure silver heatsink
more expensive tho
yeah lol
mhm, mhm...
thats for the super enthusiasts
yeah
I wonder how gold foil would work as a TIM?
totally know what you are talking about
ahh yes spending $15000 for a cooler
Eh
jesus christ
Gold foil is cheap
no not that
Thye thin stuff
WTH?
potassium is surprisingly high
Oh, pure silver
100 w/mk
YEET
that thing is a chonker
yessir
seems like it's mostly transition metals that are that conductive
That's something
imagine that in pure silver with silver heatpipes
not even enough RAM clearance on my board, I dont think
lap it until it's flat
dude you a millionaire or something? my cooler is like $50 or something
Silver is the most conductive metal
i debated on putting solid copper blocks on my vram instead of thermal pads
That humans know about
Go for it
but the thinnest they make them is 0.3mm
and i need some 0.3mm and some 0.2mm
and there's a little bit of flex at 0.3mm so definitely need pads and not solid copper
lol
very tiny
0.3mm copper blocks will probably break it
They might
I want a 480mm AIO but the whole thing is just a Rad as big as a O11 in silver with thicc fans and a heatsink twice as big as the CPU itself
awesome ig?
I want to see a gold heatsink
is that like super expensive?
so imagine a passive cooling case where the entire case is made of pure silver
pc that costs 7 digits? no big deal
I have succesfully not imagined that because IDK what taht is
MILLIONAIRE OVER HERE
just a massive radiator
silver
nothing else
I have seen one like that made of aluminum
no, not as big as an O11, as an Enthoo Pro
aluminum isnt super conductive though?
your desk will catch fire but that is a minor setback
I mean yeah aluminum isn't the best material ever but we're talking like 50 pounds of it
jesus frickin' christ
I prefer a pure silver one, not aluminum
what the goddamn hell dude
this is definitely how much i want to pay for my case
seems like a budget option honestly
mmm yes let's buy an $18000 cooler for an $800 graphics card
My entire PC is like $1000
and unbalanced
I wonder if putting a fan on my backplate would help vram temps more
on top of the thermal pads
that might work actually
It might
finstack for your backplate
won't do much before putting thermal pads
I have a bunch of the same id-cooling fans left
and i have 1 argb header left
seems worthwhile to try
get an aRGB splitter
lol yeah it's 1 header left of my second 1-4 argb splitter
or some sort of external fan controller
oh lol
can you connect a splitter to a splitter?
Eh
maybe
technically you can
maybe not
Can only draw so much power from the header
They're limited just like fans
not enough headers on boards IMO
8 argb fans, argb water block, 10 feet of 12v rgb led strips
I have no idea what is going on here. I'ma just watch some MandJTV lmao
the led strips are consuming 19.2W
water block
custom loop or GPU?
wow
it's just an aio i'm not that cool yet
ok lol
really no reason to do custom water on a 3600x though
360 aio is already questionable
nah opposite actually
i am gaming at 1440p so the 3080 bottlenecks the 3600x a lot of the time
yeah i don't really use the nvidia features
so i just wanted pure 1440p raster
the only game where i see my 3600x being the bottleneck
is running at 180 fps anyways so i really do not care
i also haven't actually played it besides using it as a tech demo for rtx and dlss because i got it for free
lol
I want the Nvidia features myself, AMD software is kinda useless to me apart from making my GPU talk to the rest of the system
RTX and DLSS are useful
isnt AMD software like not the best
my streaming days are over so i don't need nvenc or nvidia broadcast
couldn't care less about rtx
plus i kinda want to start getting into some 3D modeling and Machinima stuff so thats cool
dlss is good but not widespread enough yet
and I also stream, AMD is horrible for that
by the time dlss is widespread i'd probably be looking for an upgrade
yeah this is what I want most
in 2 years maybe
i have tried nvidia broadcast though
pretty cool software
just not a major buying point for me
depends on what you do tbh
i bought a 3080 simply because they have 500 times the stock of radeon cards
1440p gaming and nothing else, AMD is good

higher resolution, plus making your game look good and broadcasting at the same time? Nvidia
3080 is also a much better mining card but i wasn't thinking about mining back when i bought
6900XT apparently gets 62 MH/s
for mining, that is
compared to 3080 getting 90-100
MH/s?
yeah
thats what I thought
that seems like a lot regardless tbh
imagine that just 4 years ago
people would be losing their minds
well considering the power draw as well
the difference in profit ends up being more than 1.5x
3080 can do 100 mh/s at 220W
does Ampere draw less power?
eth mining hammers the vram but it's not that hard on the core
so power draw isn't that high
just ethereum? no other currency?
eth is the good one rn
btc has moved on to asic mining
eth is specifically designed to resist asics afaik
I should turn on my computer and start mining while I do school on my laptop
that would be beneficial, methinks
a single 5700xt is good for that, right?
50-55 mh/s
not horrible then
i like that it only uses resources that you aren't using
and backs off a bit when you're doing light gaming
very unintrusive on normal usage
I do heavy gaming
but still
I have a lot of time I am not using my computer and am instead using my laptop
so eth mining would be very beneficial
plus im getting a 3080 hopefully pretty soon
most of my gaming is light now since i want to play with my gf but she's only got an i5-1035g1
nice to be able to get 92 mh/s while playing stardew or 70 mh/s while playing genshin lol
i felt like i was wasting my 3080 watching it not even crack 1% usage for hours
i paid $770 for my card and make $6/day including the increased electricity cost
so it's on pace to pay for itself in a little more than 4 months
nice
if crypto doesn't crash before then lol
i'm just trying to cash out as often as possible
crypto is too volatile to keep around imo
111.11111111 days
4 months and a week or two
what are you using now?
in the first 2 days i saw btc price go from 36k to 28k back to 32k
so i was like
yeah nope i'm going to mine eth
yeah bitcoin is way too volatile
eth is more stable for now but only time can tell if it'll crash too
we will see
i do expect it to eventually
whats a single eth worth?
of course it will
$1343.44 right now
xDAI looks like it is made to stay stable at $1 for a while
btc is at $32331.20
sure
nicehash is the easiest it does all the work for you
ethermine is a bit harder to set up
Ive worked with annoying software before
i found phoenixminer to be the easiest software to use ethermine with
how are they all different?
and it has one of the lowest devfees
wait you have to pay to do this?
no
devfee?
ah
i've seen other softwares do 1%
phoenixminer sounds like the way to go then
easier than writing your own miner and algorithm to save 4.6 cents per day lol
by the time my 3080 has paid for itself the dev fees will add up to less than $6
seems like a fine way to say thanks
thats not bad at all
I would gladly pay $6 tbh
a fine software deserves a donation
no
gonna use the etherium to pay for spiro after I pay off my GPU
you aint getting any of that
a single dose is .33 dollars, and I can make 3.6 dollars per day
math checks out
ok so I did a bit more math
lets say im using 500w (probably an overestimation), 24 hours a day
one kWh costs 12.14 cents
that comes out to 1.4 dollars per day in electricity costs
500w would be more like 3x 5700xt
for a single 5700xt mining 200-220w total system power is more likely
how much is one then?
so a gross overestimation then
one sec
0.69 (nice) cents per day, then
currently my cpu is drawing 22W package power and my gpu is drawing 225W total power
total system power is only a little bit higher than the sum of that
and that's a 3080
ok so then thats 0.69 cents per day in electricity. Subtracting that from mining, I would be making about 2.9 dollars in eth per day.
still a pretty good sum
you can get a 5700xt to consume 150W while mining at optimal efficiency
undervolted and power limited
i keep separate profiles on afterburner for mining and gaming
lets say 170 then, including my 3800x
0.49 cents/day
would need to set that up in Afterburner tho
it may be more interesting to see how much your pc takes during typical idle usage
and take the power usage delta
rather than absolute
idle is just sitting there with windows open, no other programs?
nah stuff like web browsing
excluding the time you would normally have it turned off
i used to turn off my pc every night but i've been letting it mine overnight
didnt check
can assume 20-25 for ryzen idle
its a 3800x, how much can it draw?
ryzen actually idles much higher than intel
makes sense tbh
doubt it tbh, extra cores probably sleeping anyways lol
3.8, but my power plan has it idle at 3.4
oh nice
Dont think i have anything special set up for my 3800x so thats 3.9 base clock
like you said tho, cores probably sleeping

i was the one that invited you to it lol
oh lol
anyways
Phoenixminer
anything special or do I just connect my wallet and start mining?
so after all the math is said and done
I am making 3.09 dollars in ethereum per day average
not bad
thats 129 days to pay off my GPU, assuming i keep it on the whole time with no hiccups
actually I should go set it up now
class is over
let me know if you need any help
dayum fancy boi
Browser says it is dangerous
?
now it's Unconfirmed [numbers].crdownload?
@mighty island
browser wont let me use the file
antiviruses always detect mining software as false positives because of people who aren't trying to mine downloading miners that will mine for attackers
chrome or firefox?
iridium, chromium based
on firefox i was just able to right click and allow download
oh
well you can try that
sometimes chrome doesn't allow
my only options are 'discard' and 'learn more'
lemme try learn more
that just brings me to how chrome blocks downloads
lemme try another mirror
also dangerous
lemme download firefox rq
I used Brave before, which is firefox based AFAIK, but all money made from that piece of software goes to a POS that I definitely do not want to support
so I switched to iridium
chromium
i've been using brave too long to switch ;-;
please switch
right now only gecko derivatives are uhhhhh
waterfox, pale moon, and seamonkey
might be some more but nothing worth mentioning
No, that's above msrp (for a previous gen part) and even with inflated msrps a 3060Ti is about 500
Is a 1080 worth 800
no, lol
The fact that they are charging that makes me sick
Mostly because I bought my card for a little under 600 ages ago
yeah, maybe 5 years ago a 1080 was worth that much.
How much do you all think I can get for a passively cooled gt710? $100? Selling points: it is technically a gpu, completely silent operation (no fans!!!) ๐
To be clear I am not selling or scalping that gpu
is it the asus one
i like the asus one
Also, I bought it used for almost half that. Only $28
28!?
It's the MSI one. The same one as at that Amazon link above, but much cheaper
Just got it so my pc could run before I got a real gpu
actually excited for gt 1010 with 5 hdmi
Alright guys. I got a friend with 500$ asking me what gpu to buy. Whatโs the best move for him.
@green harness i did the same thing
Wait
to wait several months
Thatโs what I said
ill send the link to the one i got
Yeah, wait. Or get a 3060Ti, or a 3070 FE
in terms of a gaming card the ddr3 2gb is the best one bc it can overclock higher
Or buy a GT710 in the mean time
3060 not out yet ๐
Nothing is in stock. So if they want a new real GPU they either have to go in the F5 hunt/get lucky during a BB drop (next drop next week I think), or pay a scalper
tbh a really good choice
3060Ti
or
3070
get intel and run off igpu
Thatโs what I meant
intel worth it more than ever rn
please stop, bigga
3070 FE is really the best, but trying to get a specific model of gpu right now is rough
Reason: Bad word usage
mf really pinged me and when i try to talk tells me to stop LMFAO
im jk no toxicity lmao
Placeholder gpus are best, I still have an INNO3D GT 730
Best 4 gigs of ddr3 GPU overkill I've ever had
Should I buy the 3060ti, or wait until the 3060 comes out at the end of February? I'm not in a hurry.
I'd say just wait until the GPU markets starts to stabilize and prices start becoming reasonable
Usually you should buy the best you can afford, so if you can afford a 3060Ti why not get it? it will have better gaming performance.
๐
Anything drop yet tonight?
@carmine dune did u ever hear back from newegg?
Yeah lol they gave me a $40 gift card and an unconvincing sorry
dang thats dumb
Yep
all they have to do is ship you out the next available card like smh
exactly
Better than just getting a sorry
Try and get a 3060ti from BB when they drop
Itโs MSRP anyways
People underestimate the 3060 ti, it's a great deal. You pay 1/3 the price of a 2080 Super for 4 less fps, and $100 less then a 3070 for 10 less fps. I mean cmon that's hard to beat
true...kinda dissapointed on the 3060 tho
fr
How long is the wait for shipping.. been stuck at waiting for pick up for 4 days
if there's a drop, some good soul will tell us here
if they don't then well, i think there's livestreams of stock checkers or something like that on twitch
Well then, local Memory Express in my city had a restock of 200 3060tis, 3070s, and 3080s. Still some left over today, I might get another 3070 tomorrow
Not for myself lol, I have friends over the city who want one and don't get lucky as I do
Also an inner community that buy and sells at MSRP+tax to keep out the scalpers
yoooo, that's cool
Yep I myself had now distributed 4 cards, bought 6 cards together. The founder of the group bought 17 cards as today and distributed 16 of them
sheesh
Again everything is at MSRP+tax and safe distance for Covid
dang
That is awesome.
I looked up Memory Express just for fun (USA) and they have some good prices on cards, and had some 3070, 3090, and 6800 cards in stock.
Yep, there's been on time shipments
I live near one of the main distribution centers (also the site where they ship things online), so it's pretty accessible to me
i randomly get my desktop icons turn black when i hover over them and stay like that. Is this a OS or gpu issue?
Is a GTX 1080 still good today
yeah
im fairly new to computer and am looking for an okay graphics card my budget is around $150 can someone help me and give advice
Im trying to get a 1080 classified of some guy i know
at 150 bucks, the 1650 performs well
and like one step above that would be.....?
1650s, prob the rx570 though i'm not very familiar with that card, the 1660, a 1060 6gb, 1070
what exactly is your pricepoint?
well 150 is what i thought would buy me a good one but
but
if there was like a way better one for only 30-50 bucks would be reasonable
ok ill look at it thanks
the rx570 is also a viable option at 170 bucks
is it better or worse
I have an MSI RX 570 Armor OC 8gb currently. Looking to upgrade but this card is great.
frick i forgot that there's a 4gb and 8gb variants
whats the difference
well first of all, the amount of vram
but i'm not familiar with those cards since i never cared about radeon up until now
1650's a little better
How much memory the card has before it has to cycle
so 4gb is better?
ok
4 is fine if you can't afford 8
You'll mostly notice the difference in load times, and high graphics areas. For instance, a capitol city in WoW
At that price, I'd just try and get a 3060ti, or a 5700 if you want Radeon
yeah as i said, the gpu market is wonky
try buying used if you want to maximize performance at the 150-200 dollar range
well im at around $175 and the rx570 and 1650 have been reccomended
look into the 1650s as well
^
get this for your price range https://www.ebay.com/itm/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-1070-Founders-Edition-8GB-GDDR5-Graphics-Card/265028070116?epid=26022951909&hash=item3db4e76ae4:g:S2sAAOSwspZgD7uG
if you're willing to buy used
hey do guys think i should get the rtx 3060 ti with a 5600x
yes
ok
what kinda question is that
a question on parts i should get for a pc
fair point
well considering they're really popular and honestly really good then yes you should pair em
thanks dude
np
Is this https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Gaming-RX-5500-XT/dp/B082G2XDLL/ref=sr_1_10?crid=3M987XF42CTTL&dchild=1&keywords=5500+xt+graphics+card&qid=1611717674&sprefix=5500+%2Caps%2C180&sr=8-10 good cuz my fren is looking to buy it for his first pc
If so @ me
well
@somber forge for 175 ish you can find a 580 on aliexpress
if your lucky an 8g
i found a great XFX card listing. wish I could share but censors dont like
is the price the same as msrp or is this also inflated
to be fair 175 for a a 580 is pretty OK
but a 980 is a lot better and you CAN find them for 175 ish local used
those 2 are not bad deals RN
along with the r9 fury if your lucky
dont give up its not worth
wait for a BB card\
ohhhhhh
MSI gtx 1070 gaming x 8gb
The Bykski MSI GTX 1070/1080 Full Coverage GPU Water Block is a work of art! This full coverage block, directly cools the video cards core (GPU), graphics memory (RAM) as well as the voltage regulator modules (VRM). By directly cooling these components you can achieve great temperatures! Along with these temperatures c
ok cool but cant get it yet
another wait list lol
thank you
i could not find that water block . Again thank you
Is it worth the effort to sli two of those
to reach good marks in 4k
no, games don't use SLI anymore
I am building a new system and doing water loop
so far using the Lian Li dynamic Razer edition case, ryzen 7 3700x and corsair vengeance pro 32gb
need a graphics card or just use the 1070 gaming x
power supply is a corsair 850w 80+ gold series
needing case fans (need pointers on this)
graphics card
water loop
1070 isn't a bad card but 4K is out of the question
If you want 4K you're going 3070 or higher
6800XT
1070 for 1080p or even light 1440p would be fine
how long does the shortage usually last for these new graphic cards
this shortage isn't usual, no one really knows
any of you guys selling one
โถ๏ธ ๏ปฟ9. No sweepstakes/giveaways, e-begging, trading or selling on this server.
HA! I knew that was a joke weary, that was for smiley lol
might have been the GT710 that gave it away, IDK
@lavish otter
And yeah, ppl here help you pick out parts
Oof, I'm not good with fans, ask the boyos in #cases-psu-and-cooling
People like the Arctic P12 but I don't like the fluid bearing
If oyu don't want RGB, these are good dual ball fans https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-F12-PWM-PST-CO/dp/B007YLUC0Q
I scavenge my fans from my old cases and just shove them in, so I get ugly mismatches all the time
Nobody likes the fans I like cuz they're expensive but they also have a magnetic levitation bearing. Super long life. Corsair ML's
nobody sees your fans anyway
I was literally about to joke about ml's if they wanted to spend a bunch of money lmao
maglev bearing
I'd avoid any fan with a Fluid bearing
They leak and die
If you want REALLY expensive fans get RGB ones
I use the SilentWings fans on my AIO
IMO, beQuiet makes some nice fans also
cool
Mixing it up with my old Rosewills and Fractal Design fans in a Lian Li Lancool II
I have a box of spare fans too lol
Though I should get some new fans, I'll run out trying to fill both the Lian Li and the Fractal case
well i am out for the night see you guys later
'Night
ML120 pro RGB
I have six of them and it makes me not want to spend more money on fans ever again lmao
ye
I still have a gtx 750 ti lol
Should I buy a 2080 super for ยฃ453
@upper zinc from where?
U mean the manufacturer
the store and manufacturer, so like newegg an msi for example
Itโs from gigabyte WINDFORCE and I have a local store
try to get a 3060 ti or 3070 if you can, for a 3060ti you're paying a lot less for 4fps less
but if that's your best option and you're desperate that's an ok deal
That's a good deal
buying into the new generation would be a better idea but that's still good
I need an rtx 3070 at msrp
yea good luck with that
and i want my dad to come home but that wont happen

I really want to spend Max 1800$ on my build so I need a GPU at a reasonable price
Iโve spent so far around 920$ , I need storage which is around 240$ , GPU around 400-800 and peripherals will come at 600$
But 1800$ is only for the pc itself
A Best Buy drop is your best bet. The FE cards have still been selling at the original MSRP, so if you get really lucky you can get a 3070 for 499 or a 3080 for 699. They've been dropping every two weeks between 9am est and noon est more or less. Last drop was on 1/22, so next drop is likely next week. Often drops were on Tuesdays, but they've switched it up every now and then
If you're counting on a BB drop I recommend looking up a guide to their checkout process as it differs from most others to help with bots
I have $622 CA for a GPU or $466 US. I also get around $10 US a week and I was wondering what graphics card I should get. This is my first PC and I'm not in much of a hurry.
a 3060ti FE or one cheaper end partner cards, or a 3070 FE if you are lucky
thx ill look for one
Definitely aim for 3060ti founders or AIBs and 3060 founders/AIB (coming out at the end of February)
Best Buy is the only retailer for FE cards
Whats the difference between FE and regular? Im new.
Founders is made from Nvidia while AIBS are made from MSI, etc
@chilly wing since you are Canadian as well, I suggest going to your local Canada Computers or Memory Express for a higher chance to get a GPU instead of buying it online
ok thx
ill look at both thx
I don't know who sells them in Canada tbh
me neither
Yep unlike the US, we don't have a massive chain of electronic stores like Microcenter. Instead we have smaller companies, Canada Computers and Memory Express, that specialize in computer hardware
Memory Express is focused more in Western Canada but has some stores in Ontario. Canada Computers specializes in Eastern Canada but has some stores in BC.
Yeah I wish there was a microcenter in Canada.
I wish there was a micro center less than 200 miles away from me
microcenter is like pc parts mall/grocery store right?
was there a noticeable diff on a zotac 1650s twin fan and palit 1650s stormx oc
except the physical differences
From what ive heard.
it's basically a cooler best buy
Anyone know of a adjustable gpu mount?
EZDIY-FAB Multi-Angle Adjustment Vertical Graphics Card Holder Bracket Support,GPU Mount,Video Card VGA Support Kit with Riser Cable: Amazon.ca: Electronics
Maybe that might work. I only have a laptop right now and I'm building my first computer so don't take my word for it.
I saw that one itโs the only one I could find
And I donโt like the reviews
@chilly wing
yeah sorry
Some case manufacturers sell vertical mounts specifically designed to work with their cases, so you could see if the manufacturer of your case offers something.
i need some help with my pc
i did all i can and still the problem still keeps happening
my pc keeps randomly black screening on both monitors
i think its the graphics card
since when i used my cpu integrated graphics didnt have the same issue
i also searched the windows reliability history and it gives me livekernelevent
RIP anyone without a 3000 card or 2000
the prices are going crazy
Reason: Bad word usage
brug
Lol
i got my 3080 luckily but at the same time my graphics card is playin ๐
still waiting for the 3060 ti ๐โ
Yโall say prices are going crazy but I havenโt seen any increase, unless u mean scalper prices???
wait when you sign up for the newegg shuffle do you have to pay anything?
@tender mulch
cus i think i accidentally spent 670 on a zotac 3070
No you donโt have to buy anything unless u want to
so no upfront cost just to click the button
Nope
Until you actually grab the bundle
alr prec
Is there a new shuffle on Newegg?
does best buy still restock the 20 series gpus
no
theres a chance that the 2060 and 2060s are being rereleased soon
so they might? but dont plan on it
Is the Newegg shuffle every day?
That's what they say on their Twitter
does new egg have the bloody a70
What to do if I donโt have a gpu cable but I have a gpu that needs one?
depends on gpu
on must you can technically use it without pcie power but it hounds you
You get an adapter from molex or sata (if there is such a thing)
or you get a new power supply
generally those adapters use molex
Do we know if a drop is happening tonight?
What? I've never been able to use a gpu that has slots for pcie power without plugging it in, they never turn on. What gpus are you talking about?
Does that even have a pcie power slot?
yep
worked on a couple others too
but to be fair no super new cards
nvidia keeps bothering me about it
@tender mulch @meager shoal seen any drops yet tonight?
Nope just the shuffle but Itโs too late for it
Shuffle had combos I didn't want anyways
There hasnโt been a big drop like all day
Seems they only had a separate 3080 the day I tried ๐ฉ
It will be a time when eventually Jensen loses his oven
What's the price of a EVGA 2070 XC Ultra rn?
Stopped production of those last July
Not sure how many more are still in the market
Don't think they're actually selling for that
Ebay is full of bid and dump right now
People win the bid then immediately cancel
Ask how I know
You do that? lmao
Fr?
EVGA dropped some past gen cards late last week oddly enough. Maybe they found them behind the breakroom couch or something?
How much you think I can get for mine tho
Hi iam new her new to building PC's i have the data but none completely match off my mobo req SAPPHIRE NITRO RADEON RX 580 8G GDDR5, Biostar Gaming Radeon RX 550 2GB GDDR5 128-Bit DirectX 12 PCI Express 3.0 DVI-D Dual Link, HDMI, DisplayPort could any one help me out please?
What's your question? @prime epoch
sheesh
it had 90ish players
at least it's playable
Funny how I declined my Newegg sweep stakes order of powercolor 6800 for 400$ over MSRP and it still hasnโt popped for the gen pop. Donโt get suckered
it was a battle server, lots of chaos
lmao were there a bunch of particles and stuff
but still horribly under-performing or my processor is a lot worse than I thought it was
You mean new MSRP after tariffs
:/
Nope 600 for non XT and they wanted 944+tax
Hmmmmm
Aorus is listed at 719 MSRP 6800 non-XT
And that was before the tariffs

RTX 2060/3060

hello everyone, is the best graphics card to get for a pc with a 300 watt psu a GTX 1650 low profile?
What's a good GPU for about 500 rn?
@wicked pasture go to pc part picker and check the Wattage
@hollow heath I think 1660 super is around that much
Good for 1080p gaming
Idk thatโs how much my friend got it for
If you get the 1660super at a store and wait until they get it in stock you can pick one up for around 400$ Canadian
I have a 2070 I want to sell idk how much I can get for it right now
I have an EVGA 2070 XC Ultra
do you overclock it?
I have it OC yes

wait only a 60hz monitor?
for a 3060 if you were to get 100 fps on a 3070, you would get 90 fps on a 3060 ti for example.
for 100 usd less
Around 150
What y'all think I can get for like 500 USD right now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-V1P1XUQBQ alright this one has dlss rt on
Cyberpunk 2077 All Settings @1080p RTX 3060 ti, i5 10400f.

and in terms of a 2080, you would get 4 fps less for 1/3 the price
cyberpunk has way more polygons
for comparison witha 3060 ti
DO NOT BUY A CARD OFF EBAY
DO NOT
no
please don't tell me
Definitely no
Ok thanks
Np
anyone know if a 3090 can be bottlenecked by a 9900k?
everything bottlenecks a 3090 lmao
lol
ok
ill just overclock to 6GHz
lol
but the vram is too low on the 3080 for ray tracing + 4k
i may wait until the 3080ti
yeah i know
Amd definitely outplayed Nvidia on the vram
true
DLSS is nasty
Hey all, I got a 3070 gigabyte oc white edition today, but was getting less performance than my previous card, a 1060. I updated the drivers and reseated the graphics card, but still no increase. It seems to be running sporadically. Sometimes its fine, but other times its awful with <30frames
Use DDU to wipe the drivers. Then install fresh
Here you can Downloadย Display Driver Uninstaller, this Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, with...
yeah. i pefer performace over graphics but i can also enjoy having both
@opal raptor CPU?
yeah def not cpu prob
Driver prob
Leftover remnants of old driver mucking with the new card
nVidia's Clean Install doesn't really cut it
neither does AMD's
@sterile parcel nice
Would it be drivers from the 1060?
Okay I will certainly try that thank you
YW
i have the Infor for the card im looking at and the data card i thinking about buying 600.00 is a bit much dont do game
hello
GF GT1030 PCI-E 2GB GDDR5 W/HDMI/DVI-D this will this work for MSI GeForce GT 1030 DirectX 12 GT 1030 2GH LP OC 2GB 64-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 (uses x4) HDCP Ready Low Profile Video Card
this is crud waiting and watching all these people with the new graphic cards asking way to much
agree not many can aford 600-1500 for a grafics card
anybody think I should just get a used 2080ti or wait and try to get a 3080? Before I wanted to wait because some guy at a microcenter said that stock will prob be better by jan or feb, and now prices went up and its still basically impossible to get one
does anybody know when these companies are gonna release to gammers
seems like bot thing is all over the place
Yeah it is
If all you need is video out with no games, this is fine
a gt 1030?
so it will work for a GF GT1030 PCI-E 2GB GDDR5 W/HDMI/DVI-D
thats going to take a while to export anything
1070 works really good for what it worth
Yeah when you use its encoder
i use a 1070 in current
thats pretty decent
new build hoping to get founders 3080
I built a totally new system a while ago in December and I was thinking I could get an rtx 3080 by jan or feb, nah ill be waiting a while.
no luck for 3months
most likley
Some worker at microcenter told me theyd be more avaliable by feb, There are no signs of that
by that time the price will be outragous
Well, you've got low die yields, coupled with high demand, coupled with the Chinese Lunar New Year coming up
Gonna be a rough month
My new build is gonna be a water loop system
Im just considering upgrading to a 1080ti or 2080 from my rx 590
2080 is really good so i hear
At least my system wont be poorly bottleneck with a 10850k
I just want something that I can edit and play smoothly with out stutters from my gpu
my gpu is a 20% bottleneck in 1080p alr
1080ti are still aggressive
Yeah, It can still run 4k pretty well still
But I mainly stream and play games at 1080p and need the nvec encoder
cause uploading 4k vids and streaming on an rx 590 is a pain
I used to have an i5 6500 and rx 590 and upgraded to a 10850k with 32gb ram same gpu
ohh my 570 did good for streaming but sucked at games at high resolutions
just seeing if yours did the same
If I streamed off my gpu it would be fine, but the performance difference was worst
If I were to play Fortnite, Id run max 200 fps while streaming, its was immensely bottlenecked by my i5 6500.
I just wonder how much better the 3060ti founders card is
i know its newer etc.... but what is the frame rate
Whatโs a good gpu both for mining and gaming?
on 4k
ryzen 7 3700x
Oh ye you'll be fine
@late dust put it up on Craigslist and eBay
3060 ti
My 2070 Super almost looks like it's sagging more, but that could be me. Any recommendations on if I need a bracket or not, either way? Card is specifically a Gigabyte Windforce 3X 2070 Super.
Does anyone want to buy a kidney so I can afford a card?
So that you can afford a 1050?
Or I could fake my own kidnapping but im sure noone would pay for me...
lol
i would elephant. That is buy a bracket
they make rgb ones now i believe
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC PRO 8G Graphics Card is it worth 775.00
yes
worth 580$ MAX
looks like we gonna use hd graphics for awhile ๐
most intel cpu have integrated graphics lol
yea i dont know much about intel, ive used AMD in all my builds
The F on the end designates GPU or not
So if it has an F like 9400F, it has no GPU
Regular 9400 means it has a GPU
9400K, K means it's unlocked and can be overclocked
Any custom cables yet for the 3070 FE??
which gpu is better 1660 super or the ASrock phantom Gaming D RX570?
1660
Hope not cheeder
yeah
pray for it not to be a brick
Feather went to his mother and asked,"Mother, why is my name Feather?" And the mother replied,"because when you were born, a feather fell on your forehead." Satisfied, Feather went away.
After Feather, Droplet went to his mother and asked,"Mother, why is my name Droplet?" And the mother replied,"because when you were born, a water droplet fell on your forehead." Satisfied, Droplet went away.
After both Feather and Droplet went, the third child shuffled over to his mother and said,"hur dur rung a bung?", to which the mom replied "what do you want brick?"
what
no they're saying you could have gotten scammed, you shouldn't have bought anything from ebay
to this point hes probably joking lol
you should never buy anything off ebay when it comes to computer parts. You should only buy from local stores, Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H etc, because you don't jknow what you're actually getting from ebat. You could've been scammed
well, i wouldn't say never
An underpriced brand new GPU for less than MSRP though? Heh. Good luck with that
as a rule of thumb it's almost always better to buy new, from a trusted retailer, but if you want used parts, ebay is one of the more reputable sites
you have to apply common sense too, though
if you read the description and it says "this item is literally a picture of the gpu: no returns" and you didn't read it, then that's on you
Not sure if anyone is interested, but Best Buy has the XFX - AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT RAW II available on their site, seen it there since last night. Just throwing it out there.
speaking of best buy, do they still sell 20 series cards
2070/2080 was discontinued in July of last year
Supposedly the 2060 is still in production
are there any sites that still sell 20 series cards
Most of them should if they get stock
I just would like to say that I have been running cyberpunk at very high settings on a 1660 super and it has worked out really well.
benchmarks are about 45 FPS on Ultra with that card at 1080p
no ray tracing, but looking at my buddies photos of 2080ti and it isn't that much difference
I run at 14.
It's literally just water reflections with RT on
some lighting would be pretty interesting
not alot of little puddles in cyber though
I think it isn't really made for rtx so much anyhow, but it looks fantastic
I wonder if the console versions are running well now?
Nope, there also major frame drops
lol
Not on my 3070
Talking about 20 series
Also
@tender mulch Should I get a BIOS update
For these ^
I have the second latest BIOS installed rn
go for it
Is it worth it?
IDK
Wow
lol
Or I could just get gigabyte utility
and update it from there
the app centre
Il update all the drivers you said yesterday first tho lmao
NEVER update BIOS through Windows
