Seems more like a CPU issue. I'd check Event Viewer, find an ERROR entry (Red circle with ! in it) and see what the stop code was.

That will help us find where the issue is, it's usually a driver issue with another system program

Hey there, I am looking for some help. I just got a brand new laptop from Newegg, they referred me here for help. Earlier the laptop was running games beautifully, now it has changed for some reason, but now it is dropping FPS down to 18 and lagging constantly, its unplayable. They will retail for ~335, you can always spend more, but why would you. i understand what you are talking about but there are cards that will reach MSRP even if they aren't FE (all cards are rated to cool the GPU enough and deliver the proper power, so model doesn't really matter) The most important question is if they can pay 335 which they haven't mentioned if it is in their price range.

Download and run DDU in Safe mode. Clean out the nVidia and AMD GPU drivers. Then boot back to regular Windows and reinstall the nVidia drivers
