@odd siren
show them your techie roles as your resume experience
they will hire you on spot trust

Lol
I think this haha #building-and-recc-chat message
Ah if felix said it i believe it lmao
This x2
Yeah haha
Let's see that happens tomorrow š„²
Felix says i know parts a bit better than him but he has a lot more general pc knowledge and experience than i do
ignore the fact i was apart of that conversation i def remember
Lmao
trust
Oh like msi slim
i had some decent knowledge of like 6 years ago haha
so much has changed
My dad built a pc forever ago and told me he'd help me rebuild my pre built back in 2022
We opened it up and he had absolutely no clue what a single cable was lol
Pcs move fast as hell
Part of why i love them sm
So Sapphire > xfx > asrock > asus > the rest?
yep
Power color fighter is normally solid
Tbh yes but I'd put gigabyte higher than asus rn
Hellhound is normally one of the higher end models too
Oh yeah powercolor
I've just been happy with my current pc so I haven't been looking at new stuff until now haha
Powercolor above asrock
Theyre very forgettable lol
oh really?
Most coil whine brand 2024
Lmao
Gigabyte hasn't been as bad as asus of late
Where does Yeston rank? I must know what tier the waifu cards are
So Sapphire > xfx > powercolor > asrock > gigabyte > asus > the rest?
Uwu tier (above gigabyte)
like that? lol
Damn I stayed back when EVGA (RIP) was king haha
I wish they made AMD gpus š„²
Evga bouta go out of business
Sapphire has been the EVGA of AMD before EVGA was the EVGA of Nvidia
They've put out a whole two new products since dropping nvidias partnership (that i know of)
ClcX, and lcd display aio, and a new psu
damn lol
sad
evga bouta make a g8 and rule over the PSU space, just watch
If only they don't price it $20-50 over the rest of the psu market
I just want my monhun to not look like this
they've generally been good with PSU pricing post g2 era
Have they? I guess I've never seen their psus be consistently in stock really
AND be playable haha
Not the decent ones anyways
no new ones in what, 3 years now lol
g7 was 2022
They have the superzillion or whatever it is
g6 was great but short lived too
It's hard to recommend EVGA PSUs when they might go under
G7 was slightly less great and also short lived
g7 is less great and little longer lived
Wait
Why did I think this was evga lmao
Superflower was the OEM for EVGA psu
I always love this name
g7 is fsp, g6 was seasonic, g5 was fsp, g3 and before were superflower
I always thought g6 was super flower too, didn't know it was seasonic
I was waiting for a leadex viii too smh
I mean that's part of why it was short lived iirc
Seasonics atx 3.0 and 3.1 psus haven't been in stock anywhere too
Oh I'm a liar, just overpriced
$130 at 750w and $150 at 850w
it just feels like seasonic just faded out of relevancy in the past like 2 years
Ever since tier lists became common
I mean even then seasonic focus was a go to for many people
People know it isn't just brand name you can look for
I feel like it's the 30xx power spikes that made it fall out of favor
people figured out seasonic units are really sensitive and trip really easily
good night bacca
Gn
This is promising
oh wow
HOLY
when/where is that
440 is definitely more 50 series cards than that microcenter has seen total lmao
Westmont store in Illinois apparently
i could go to my microcenter tomorrow
like 40 mins away
but i shouldnt cause i know ill buy something i dont need but want lol
they actually exist
its beautiful
Just over 7 hours I think
lezzgggoooooo
if its 9AM EST, 7
Sweet
Baka
sleep eludes me
guh
its instead time to tilt queue valorant
listings are live
$600 9070xt WOOOO
to think we had $700 3080 4 years ago, this is the first card that's both better than it performance wise and a better value proposition
A card that's better and cheaper? Nvidia could never
radeon's ryzen moment may be upon us
shh look global stock
Yo this is gonna be big
im assuming thats just sapphire
1000 units of just one model š
Happy for all y'all that still need a card
I'd be scared to stack em that high tbh
I do think it's interesting that all 3 of those "look here's our stock" posts are the same card
I wonder if sapphire asked them to do it or smthn
YO 7 HOURS
i wonder if they decided to stock up on cards so much because of tarrifs
tarrifs won't affect pricing if the cards are made before the tarrifs lol
im not buying it but im excited for others that are
same
go full team red
2080 ti does what i need it to but i have an itch to rebuild
join us
im getting off my 13600k when I can
bacca 9800x3d 9070xt incoming
prob a used 7800x3d
or a 7500f
i just want off lga1700 and be done with these issues
Possible
I'm just hoping it's not like 1500 aud
I won't buy if it's like that
Forget it
It's 1069 aud after tax and conversion for msrp
But it was 4000 for a 5090 at msrp and that turned to 5800
So you know
Not hopeful
Lmao
I don't need these cards at the end of the day tho but I would like to get a pulse if possible
If I end up paying 1500 I'll be barely undercutting the XTX I got a while back which is gross imo
Aren't these more or less the same performance as the XTX?
Felix
Another great thing (hopefully)
Used prices for high end 30/6000 series cards should plummet
yk you want it felix....
I'm not buying cos I need it
Lol
Not if it's 1500
Will actively avoid
1100 I'd tolerate
At that rate the retailer makes a little margin and I nab msrp
i am on microcenter subreddit
recent posts are people starting to line up
sounds like mine has like 3-4 outside
If they have some 5090s that makes sense
next amd gpu launch i am going to microcenter and camping mark my words
Although I can't imagine buying a $2500+ card at this point
has anyone ever camped for tech before
ive seen tons of stuff from the consoles like back in 2000s
seemed like such a cool time
ps2 ik was a huge launch
I camped out for a wii lol
idk how accurate this is but i found this
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18eQRucHX41A-O4OsoV96Qw2gFw1Qs2N7f6qQQs3kXx4/edit?usp=sharing
if thats true theres only 2 msrp models
Which 2
Should be at least 3, the XFX Swift doesn't have a price there but we know that's a msrp model
Thought so
i think from the 3 main radeon aibs:
Powercolor Reaper
Sapphire Pulse
XFX Swift
Reaper, prime, pulse, swift, phantom gaming(???), windforce
I thought the Asrock Steel Legend was also an msrp card
Should be the msrp models
It could be steel legend and challenger
i forgot asrock exists
Instead of pg
whoops
Maybe the spreadsheet has the price of a special color or something
The UK price on the steel legend is msrp at least
Add gaming oc to that
I just saw it at msrp
So yeah reaper then an asrock model for sure
Most AIBs usually have an msrp card
For now. I saw what they did with Nvidia Primes
i can see prime be slight higher
Nvidia aibs are all doing that
Msi has been caught twice
Asus was planning that from the beginning though
The Prime had "Special Launch Pricing" that would go away after the launch window
iirc the 5080 prime was originally supposed to go up to $1200
Of course it's past that now, but still
They all suck beyond msrp
Even 9070 xt
Really hard to justify that at 700
600 is barely enough to put it in the good court
Pretty much. My goal in getting a 50 series card was msrp or bust
is that still your goal
I got a card
oh
I've got a 5070TI
does the 9070 XT make you regret that purchase even at msrp
It's crossed my mind, but I think I'm OK with it
if you got it at msrp its really not a bad deal
It's technically a better card (8% RT avg, 3% overall avg)
But only barely
DLSS4 is better. MFG in cyberpunk works really well for me
Is that worth $150?
Maybe not
im curious to see in q4 this year if stock fixes itself a bit if prices come down at all
But it's close
Way I see it is if the card didn't melt and you got msrp you did well
That chance won't come again
do you have all your rops
MFG is really dependent on using a controller though, it feels terrible on kb&m
50 series was barely worth msrp
Ye cos reflex 2 is needed
alright it is 2:30 am i think im throwing in the towel
Reflex 2 isn't real
been fun chatting
Frame gen sucks period without reflex 2
felix, best of luck
Stop towelling me
going to be interesting to see what happens when i wake up lol, im guessing 30 minutes before oos
atleast online
if MC has hundreds thatll last awhile
alr im off, gl to all trying to get a 9000 series tmr
gn
Upgrading from a 3080 ftw3 ultra 10 gb to a 9070 XT for 3440x1440 o gaming worth?
Gonna try to grab one today online
I wonder if thereās going to be a founders edition 9070xt
No, AMD said they aren't selling a reference card this gen
I'll reference u in a minute
The world is great beyond asus trust me lol
arenāt they rly expensive too?
Except they do evga better than evga does
O.o
Like seriously I've tried most brands at this point I'd consider maybe sparkle close to sapphire
Sapphire is in it's own world tho
Pulse is msrp
Hmm
kinda basic but if itās exactly msrp thatās not bad
if rog close to msrp i might be dumb n comfy buy them
Gaming oc will also be msrp and that will be sufficient as well tbh
Rog and tuf won't be at all
Wut that
Prime at most
Gigglebit
Prime small asf tho?
gross
Prime too tiny
Asus always does this
Has for years
Prime is the new msrp sku
Tuf and rog will cost extra
And to be frank at that point an xfx quicksilver will be way better
Fair
Xfx gets the binned chips
I wonder how much different they are on performance
Xfx always seems to get stupid good chips
I am just now realizing how big most of these 9070xt's are lol
most of them won't fit in my case
Some reviewers already have
don't think any reviewers have done more than 2, but you have a pretty big spread with different reviewers reviewing different models
It typically boils down to: they're all basically the same except for maybe one model that runs a bit hot and a few that have increased power limits
And then xfx with the good bins
so the nitro and the taichi are basically the ones you should avoid
anything else is good?
Where are yall seeing the cards Best Buy only has insanely marked up XFX so far
1 card with a āsave 130$ā and msrp of 600 for the swift
Yeah I can't see any cards rn
Just get the $600 one rn right
And no every retailer will have those prices for non AMD swift. ASUS will be around 850$ so will sapphire but u donāt even know what website at what time will have sapphire
Where is it in stock? I can't see it on newegg
Oh, according to this they won't be live for like another hour
https://www.techradar.com/live/news/where-to-buy-amd-radeon-rx-9070-xt-and-rx-9070-these-are-the-best-retailers-in-the-us-and-uk
9am est
I only saw the 2 in best buy and they don't ship to PR :/
Yeah Iām running on two hours of sleep haha
Oh my wifeās from PR!
Also guys will the sapphire nitro be worth it for 750$?
Damn haha
Oh nice!
I don't get why best buy even though they have stores here and sell the same products don't like shipping stuff here
Atleast let me buy it and send it to the store!
Or charge me shipping lol
Yeah that sucks
I think im gonna pay the 150$ more and get the Shapire nitro for the 3100 clock speed and 1650 base speed
Itās gonna be funny that the nitro is 730 but the red devil seems to be closing in at 800 and has a slash of 1100$ā¦. What clown world is this?
I think pulse will be my top choice. I donāt know anything about swift (xfx), maybe the hellhound if itās reasonable
Idk but idk where the nitro will be posted so I have bestbuy for swift refreshing and new egg and amazon refreshing to try to get the nitro
Only good thing about bestbuy is it has the page with the gpu already unlike amazon and new egg
Radeon RX 9070 MSRP will go up AMD MSRP wonāt last long. The suggested retail price AMD announced last month isnāt expected to be honored by board partners for too long. According to some retailers, only a limited number of cards will sell at MSRP, then the price will increase depending on the board partner [ā¦]
Yeah that's much better
So I canāt decide to buy the regular swift or the sapphire for $130 more
I think I'll just get the regular one
I'll try to aim for the pulse though
It's supposedly one of the MSRP cards
I donāt think a lot of people are gonna instant buy these cards like a NVIDIA release
I find it weird bc it's mostly 3 DP and 1 HDMI lol
I really don't mind tho bc I use one and one (dp for my monitor and HDMI for my C3)
Is there a difference between the HDMI and the DP?
That pulse is looking pretty nice though so I'll aim for it. Seems to be the better cooler of the MSRP ones
Well, DP2.1 has a lot more bandwidth
Itās the only way ik im on the right one lol
I was hesitate on what to choose, I know it not a MSRP, but I am going for the Aorus Elite
Well fml
I see.
Like up to 4K 240Hz, 8K 60Hz, 1440p 500Hz and 10-bit color depth ā without relying on DSC.
Yep lol
I really want the sapphire the swift on bestbuy is my backup
That is true
Sapphire is my backup
Same idk where the sapphires will be tho
Itās got higher clocks than swift doesnāt it?
XFX says
Primary Clock Speeds:
Base Clock Up To: 1660 MHz
Game Clock Up To: 2400 MHz
Boost Clock Up to: 2970 MHz
Let me check the pulse
Iām checking amazon for the sapphire and the swift in gonna add to cart on bestbuy instantly in case sapphire isnāt there
2 minutes guys...
Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Specs
Graphics Processor AMD Navi 48
GPU Base Clock 2400 MHz
GPU Boost Clock 2970 MHz
I mean, even if it not a great clock, the aorus elite is still good?
Slightly higher
Right?
Aurus is gonna be 850 lol
Yeah too expensive for me lol
I save a lot already
Might as well get a 5070ti at that price lol
My pc build was a 3500 end it ending to 2800
Still not for sale wtf
Am I the only one not seeing them?
lol bots got them all already
Damn
Doesn't let me buy it š„²
I don't need mine, I'm probably gonna sell it locally. At no premium, only enough to cover gas...
Newegg not letting me insert a payment method..
Wasn't the swift an MSRP card...
And now out of stock
Dude I had a pulse about to check out and it did the same thing!
Bits got every single card like always
Yeah
Feels like that misses the point of 600$ tho
Exactly
Nitro is 780..
Red devil and mercury $800 lol
Damn
Feels bad moment lol.. had it in the cart in the check out and it wouldnāt let me pay
Now Iām staring at an Asus prime for 720$..
Order is processing
Any benefits for getting these over the swift?
At that point Iāll just wait for Nvidia to pressure aibs to get closer
I just got a 800$ one oh well
Nice
Same
Same lol
the $600 price feeling a little fake atm
I think it was fake
Yup
You might be waiting for literally forever
made 10 $600, 100 $800, claim its msrp of $600
Well I still kinda wanna upgrade haha

gigabyte for me personally
And the prime
Which of these has the better cooler?
Yeah, it gone
GOD DAMMIT
Or should I cancel and get the auros
AAAHHH
yeah just stay with regular
For the price, Hellhound, Quicksilver, Nitro + or red devil?
Secured the gigabyte gaming 9070xt for 729.. not sure how I feel about it honestly
Time to sell the 3080 haha
I upgraded cause I sold my mobo, my cpu, and selling my 3080 so in basically covered my wife doesnāt play games lmfao
Her 5600xt died lol
Damn
Time will tell if this is a good buy I suppose
Annoyed it wasnāt closer to msrp but I suppose thatās a different argument
Ok back to work we go, have a good day yall
You too
I asked her if she wanted me to build hers but she said sheās all good
Don't know which one to pick lol
I took the gigabyte gaming.. no idea if thatās a good card. I prob shoulda spent an extra 15$ for the hellhound
Hellhound should be good right?
The cooling seems very good
Clock speeds are the same
Thought of the gigabyte vs hellhound?
Not sure if I can secure and cancel but who knows
Those are the 2 I'm debating
I was getting nitro plus but it has the 12v connector
And I don't want to do anything with that haha
I think the hellhound is better slightly OC and prob a better cooler?
Oh apparently the pure is available
asrock was sold out by the time my page loaded when i refreshed at 9:00
All left is this
I think I'm just going gigabyte lol
Nitro plus is 12v and I'm worried it might catch fire
Do you think the 12v is a valid concern?
Or is it not an issue for these cards
It's absolutely a concern
12vhpwr is broken as a spec
Damn that pure looks great but it's white and it'll clash with my black PC haha
Thanks
Well there's nothing left now I waited too long
I wonder how much will they go up in price for the following shipments
It was over 1500 here
Costs more than an xtx lmfao
Took one look at that and immediately crossed it off
Australia, so 1500aud~=950usd
Yeah it costed more than an xtx did 3 months ago
Wasn't even slightly interested
Lmao
Had it in my cart. Stupid message pops up, glitched, for the device protection. Get it cleared, carts empty. Fml š¤¦āāļø
Got pulse
Tried reaper
Tried swift
No dice
But got pulse
Prime was non existent
Tried hellhound even
Asrock was absolutely nowhere except taichi which is ass
Gigabyte had no msrp
So I did...ok-ish
Websites were crashing until msrp cards were gone but I was close to msrp with a pulse so it's ok
Bots went insane
I think I was at the right time and right place
Nice glad you got a pulse
Was it your first try or were you trying something else at first
has anyone seen how well the new RDNA cards do with Photoshop AI tasks?
Shouldn't be too bad considering that Photoshop AI tool isn't super intensive from what I've seen
You could get away with a pretty basic pc these days with PS
My wife does edits on full raw photos in lightroom and PS, sometimes she'll have over a dozen instances open at once and running Adobe neural filters on all of them
she's starting to get error messages about scratch disks being full
Ah if you're going all in like that then maybe
which I know is a RAM/storage issue
Ye
so was looking at retooling her editing rig (which is actually just my old gaming rig), and figured I would see if anyone knew how the new Radeon GPUs performed on those tasks
I imagine regardless it will be an upgrade from the GTX 980ti she currently has
Definitely an upgrade over that no matter what
You willing you pay tariffs?
Same, I took too long this morning on newegg š„²
Not the exact same, but I use Luminar Neo's AI editing features on a laptop with integrated AMD graphics and it's fine
Too indecisive on which one to get after the Pulse sold out
I have a feeling it will be restocked faster than nvidia tho
Hopefully
My 3070 has served me well for the past 4 years but I need more vram haha
I hope so
Before the prices go up even more
Whats the current msrp?
I'll probably sell it on FB marketplace and ask for like $350, is that fair for a XC3 ultra?
It was $599 for the 9070xt pulse
$550 for 9070, $600 for 9070xt
(9070xt is the better buy)
Yup
Haven't checked prices in a while but I'd expect more like $280-300
I was going to get the Hellhound since the pulse sold out but I stayed thinking for like 30 mins and it sold out haha
Maybe less even, lemme look at ebay
I was thinking if it was worth the extra $30 from the gigabyte one
Yeah I haven't checked in a bit
What does evga do radeon gpus?
He's talking abt selling an evga 3070
Ok used market is lowkey cooked rn so you might actually be able to get $350 lol
Yeah ebay lets you filter by sold listings which is good for getting a price estimate for listing
Yeah that's really nice
I think I would just sell it locally so I don't have to deal with shipping
Or sell it for like $250 to a friend who want to upgrade his 1660
Yeah local avoids both shipping and ebay fees
Or another friend with a 4gb rx6400
When I sell to friends I usually take the lowest price on ebay and then split the fee between us
Any of them.would be a good upgrade for them
Like the seller fee?
That sounds like a good way to price it
I'll offer it for cheap to them if they don't want it I'll just list in FB marketplace for $375 obo so they offer me like $320-45 +/-
Yeah like for example I sold a cpu to a friend that was going for $70 on ebay, seller fees there are about 13% so I would have gotten $61. He bought it off me for $65 so he saved $5 plus shipping and I saved $4 plus having to package and stop by the post office
Yeah that's really good
My current goal is to just upgrade the GPU first and see if I can find a cheap 5700x3d
If not I should be fine until I can upgrade the rest next year
I'll get a 9800x3d or whatever is equivalent to that when I upgrade
Where is that?
Is that the store name?
PR?

Wish I lived there I would've snatched that Asus one so fast
My only options are BH, Newegg and Amazon
Amazon's cards were non existent, same as BH and I took too long on newegg haha
Lol so many 5070 near MSRP
I could fine one at MSRP at microcenter prob
Definitely looks that way, I'm going there after work
I still can't believe they didn't drop the ball
Wow just got an email that they cancelled my order
Which one did you order? Gigabyte?
Yea
Damn that sucks
I can have a friend go to micro center you think the red devil is worth 789vs the hellhound at 750?
Yea and power draw I think
$150 or $180 over MSRP... Both seem like a pass to me
Normally how much extra are the fancy cards?
Unfortunately they might not go back down to msrp for a while
https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/1j4uek3/retailer_confirms_radeon_rx_9070_msrp_only/
Explore this post and more from the Amd community
The 5070 TUF is 190 over MSRP at micro center
A GPU that no one should buy and let the bots/scalpers fight over it
And better
But the 9070 also performs 10% better while being a little cheaper
Its all fun and games until your rops go get the milk
Stock at our microcenter for the MSRP models was over 200 cards... They have 4 cards left at msrp
The stock been slowly dwindling all day
Still a lot better than 5000 series launch has been
Remember: if the 9070 XT sells out that means AMD sold more of them than the entire nvidia 50 series combined
There's still stock over here in the morning near msrp I can't believe it
Santa Clara store needs to hurry up and open š
They said it would be open last year
Then they said Q1 this year
Q1 is almost over
Once that store opens, never buying tech from Amazon again, and probably not Newegg either. (I'd rather drive an hour than wait days for shipping, and Amazon quality has become nonexistent)
I've been refreshing for the past 18 minutes (since they announced a restock) and it's still out of stock. Has it just not updated yet or did it really sell out that fast?
Reportedly sold out within the first 2 minutes
Bots go crazy
I only saw $700+ 9070xt models in stock
I don't have local stores lol
Nearest Best Buy is 3 hours and nearest Micro Center is 5 hours
Anyone with a 5090 suprim or astral looking to ādown gradeā to a 5090 trio + cash? Must be norcal
Selling isn't really allowed here. I'd reccomend r/hardwareswap
incredible that shuffle isnt used on gpu launch days
just encouraging botting and scalping more
Iām not selling but trading but ya Iāll give it a shot
TO hell with scalpers
Please do not
Still counts
scalper?
Don't know. Let's not target them either
r/Hardwareswap is the place to go for that either way. Not here
awe
Damn
Does anyone have a bot or something for 9700xt stock?
tried getting one twice today and they both were cancelled
direct quote of the rules
ā¶ļø 3. No sweepstakes/ giveaways, e-begging, trading or selling on this server.
Ok mb
All good as long as everyone is on the same page
Which one in particular?
I've seen a couple of gigabyte cancelled since this morning
For me it was the Powercolor Reaper that got cancelled
Ohh so different brands too
i had the taichi canceled
and it took almost 45 minutes for them to cancel it
if only they could come up with a lottery system for gpu launches to prevent scalping and bots
oh wait...
is it only the 9000 series that has FSR4?
yes
gotchu ty
wonder why ppl say stuff like the 7900xtx will have it as well
later on
First tried with the Aorus Elite, then the XFX Mercury Mag
Damn that sucks
Why don't they bring it back for this too?
couldnt tell ya, i think its pretty lame to give way to bots and scalpers
Lol
Yep ik
It really sucks, and there was a lot of stock this time
Probably not something I should say in this server but NE hasnt cared much about the consumer in a long time
im starting to think the pictures they posted on twitter with 20-25 cards wasnt a full pallet of them but in fact only 20-25 cards
feels like the only retailer who actually built up stock for 2 months was microcenter
which is worthless the vast majority of people
retail in 2025 is dead, ridiculous to make it the only way to actually get these cards
Yeah and they have so few locations too
yep, 30+ locations or whatever and only like 12 are actually near a big city, every step makes it a smaller number of people
For me in PR I have no options besides Newegg, Amazon and BH
And Amazon takes an eternity to send here
Newegg and BH are very fast here
But our local stores are basically scalpers
Selling 5080's for like $2000
yep
im a slave to amazon/ne
the guy who runs chatgpt put a thing talking about the need for GPU's, it's unlikely the GPU market will ever be stable again as long as AI exists
and as with most things in life, the rich will always have the advantage
/clap
Yep as always
Give me
maybe
@odd siren question for you, the staticish/electric sound i hear now with my GPU thats coil whine right?
Physical sound?
Yes that is coil whine. Also note google works
Or through headphones
Not meant in a mean way
Id be surprised if thats what they meant
physical only when i fire up games, worse in some then others and didnt exist till the new NVDA driviers
At that point itd just be bad cables
Ah yeah coil whine
Thats fine
Could just limit your fps a bit
Def coil whine
happens on the log screens lol
and i did use google but it sounded different. i legit thought it was electric earlier this week but was just able to sit down and explore
I dunno too much about nvidia drivers
yea thats when it started
and yea ik i tried to get a 9070 xt today.. idw talk about it
got robbed 3x
It might be impacted by your headphones plus just trying to record that type of frequency
Jesus, yeah go through official markets man, scammers are rampant
ahh true didnt really think of that
"rattle" also counts as whine
Also im surprised you tried 3 times
naaa it was on newegg lol
first one wouldnt let me add payment
then it let me add and sold out
3rd one bought
and was then canceled
oh nono im not that insane
came REAAALLL close to having a friend buy me a red devil from microcenter
Lol youd be surprised what people do for fomo
Lmao speaking of 572.xx
but after taxes and shipping it woulda been 950$ for a 600$ card..
@odd siren may u help me in the topic of monitors
fortnite dont like it either
Yikes yeah not a good idea
What specifically
same on this one lol
i think we were in the trenches tg this morning lol
The website just didnt have time to load
That it was already sold out
Thanks scalping programs
i want a monitor
27ā
4k uhd (cuz i donāt like oled that much)
curved
over 144hz
27" 4k?
Yep lmaoo
yup
did you end up locking one up or na?
Also oled has nothing to do with resolution
nah
yes
Do you wanna keep that screen size or resolution because 4k starts only being worth at around 32"
really?
x2
i feel like 32ā is wayy to big
For 27" def go 1440p
Yeah hella diminishing returns
damn im sorry. im gonna try to have my sister in law hit up MC in massachusetts tmrw and see if they got any. closest one to me is in Miami or georgia and they are both about 6-7 hours
Then 27" 1440p is way up your alley
Closest to me is a 2-3hr plane ride and a couple hours in car
PR moment
I don't have time to explain 30 questions today. I am gonna give you two options. Spend as your money allows it, both are excellent. OLED is a big step up:
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7QsV3C/acer-nitro-xv275u-p3-270-2560-x-1440-170-hz-monitor-umhxxaa302
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qfpQzy/acer-predator-x27u-bmiipruzx-270-2560-x-1440-240-hz-monitor-umhxxaa001
like wha, also ik oled has nothing to do with resolution, but the thing is i donāt feel as if the difference is really allat
You can get some pretty bangin mini leds at that range
Its a really good difference, but between that and miniled the price aint worth it unless you already forking over stupid money
Get 27'' 1440p 240hz
And these are great options
oof yea its been a rough GPU season.. I heard on a Moores law vid yesterday that AIBs were told to prepare for an extreme variant for Q2
144hz minimum
supposedly targeting the 5080
itās just i was at micro center and 4k uhd looks so nice to me, for the oled ones (they werenāt 4k), me looking at something such as the windows icon, i can see the individual pixels and i donāt like that
what gpu do you have
me?
At a normal viewing distance you will never see the individual pixels
Youre just spending pointless money
Again, REALLY good options here
yup
i got my hands on this one
then deffo 1440p
Sub 200 miniled at those specs is insane
this actually might have just convinced me
So id grab the acer nitro ngl
Ive got a 27" 1440p monitor and a 24" 1080p monitor. Both i cannot see pixels at a normal viewing distance, and 1440p still provides a way better experience imo when it comes to fine detail
You will not be missing out, trust me
i will trust you
maybe i cuz i was looking close the entire time
and thatās what got me
Yup, its not a rare mistake
also that $500 build boi recommended, it has terrible reviews
Terrible reviews for msrp
Theres a difference
Although id only grab oled at 350-400 personally
this one
Yeah the reviews are for the price
The panel is fine
And its half off
itās prob always half off
Also yeah from what gpu are you upgrading from
3080
@keen flax was planning to give the 3080 to the wife to replace her 5600XT
Nice upgrade on both
then i was debating between a 1440 and 4k set up
and yea woulda paired nicely. i dont NEED the upgrade but honestly kinda was worried about what these tarffs are gonna do to pricing
$500 is a lot
You cant just take reviews at face value
Just grab the miniled
Its way better value imo
Id legit sell my monitor for that one without hesi lol
Its been on my wishlist for a minute
which ones that
if the 5080 was a better uplift and avail i prob woulda pulled the trigger on that tbh
@shut quiver you could always look up monitors unboxed too
This has been one of if not the best value monitors for a good minute now
True, but its not necessary
2ms tho š¬
is that a minitor reviewing thingy source
Your pc has like 15ms innate delay
You will never notice lmao
yes its hardware unboxed monitor reviews
Dont get marketed
oh deadahh? so the entire time, my current pc (an alienware) which probably has hella innate delay, i never got to feel what my 1ms actually is like?
Its all marketing
they sure did a hell of a good job on me, i always look at the ms
Hdr10 is a great example of that marketing
I think I would still stay with both 1440p
Just high high hz 1440p for me
Lol yeah theyll convince you any way they can, as long as it aint like 20ms or something dw about it
I'd love to get a 240hz 1440p OLED next year
any more tips not to get marketed? like outside of monitors
yea thats what i was leaning towards. current pannel is 1440p 165hz. i mighta pushed for a 240 if i could find a decent value.
Im hoping the 4th gen OLEDs come out this year from LG and that it pushes the 3rd gens lower
None that wouldnt take forever to get into
Other than like, dont buy a 5090 lmao
cuz i know ram probably had some marketing tactics
This is my current monitor
It still works great so it'll be monitor 2 when I switch
Q27G3XMN is a fair bit better tbh
better local dimming (aka better hdr)
better VRR
and i just looked at the price of the acer and it seems like it has a fairly good deal currently so honestly the value goes to that š
Eh kinda, just look for cl30-34 and 6000mhz ram
And dont get corsair ram
Boom
Q27 is still an amazing monitor tbf
But yeah
don't trust specs
simple
Nitro is hard to beat lol
whatās the difference between mini-led and oled
LG is really good
Mini led uses panels like ips or va with extremely small backlights for local dimming
Oled light is all in the individual pixels themselves
can you dumb it down for me cuz i have no idea what allat means, all i know is that oled is meant to be good
within reason lol
Basically, OLED is fire, miniled is also fire but way more affordable
Just grab miniled lol
Thats also very good, saw one at best buy and liked it
that was a good asf explanation, thank you for explaining it to someone who does not know about pcs
LOL
balou thats the best description of OLED ive heard. its lava
yup I'll probably stick with Lg for my OLED monitor
What can i say, im a natural
alr lemme get an intel athlon š
oled is self emissive, every pixel can independently turn on and off with perfect blacks
miniled uses (usually white) mini leds as a backlight which also often are locally dimming, with a LCD panel that does the colours (which ends up being almost perfect blacks but potentially with haloing)
yea them and samsung make all the panels anyway
yep
I love my LG C3
for movies and TV shows, everything looks so good
LOL first time today at micro center, all the workers look geeky and nerdy asf
I have an S90C and I love it as well
To understand what he means by doing the colors, if you take that part of the panel off the monitor and hold it over your eyes, you can see the screen. Remove it from your view and its just white light
they are working to bring a true white or something this year and i think i head they are going to do away with the matte finish so its not smudgy. and Samsung supposedly has fixed the magenta in light
OLED ftw!!!
oooh
I ended up choosing that over the C3 because it supports 144hz (and it was cheaper at the time)
end of this year early next year for LG
I went C3 bc for my room I could only fit 48'' and Samsung doesnt make them that small
Yep, LGs are great for that. I know people with 42 inch LGs for pc gaming
I would perish
damn thats not to much realestate?
i felt like a 32 inch was to much
But yeah a friend of mine had a like 50" samsung as their "monitor" lol
These are my older friends that own homes, so they have a lot more space than I do lol
32" can be too much if it dont fit, but id be happy w/ one
For monitor same haha
yeah they work great for PCs
32 inch would be pushing it for me in my apartment
I ocasionally use it for gaming on my PC but the 3070 isnt enough haha
Both my monitors are in here
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CrccGJ
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
hahaha
idk maybe i was to close, i have an office set up. it just felt huge (i was also coming from a 20inch or something)
Im still so happy with the deal i got on that led
like that huge 49'' ultra ultra ultra wide samsung monitor
Fair, its a large jump for sure. And yeah you need to back up a smidge
the something odyssey
Yep, biggest I can have rn is a 27"
But its great for me
27" is an amazing sweetspot, and with 1440p its just chefs kiss
If i get a main oled one I'll probably put the old one on top
i think its 24inches deep, id have to measure i built it myself so i dont remember
Yeah id want a bit more room unless im like mounting it against the wall
I acquired some monitor arms from work so I just pull out my main screen when it's time to game
Id love to build myself a desk, closest ive gone to that is assembling one lol
same
Finessed
26 inches i was a little off. but yea i think something like 30ish would be better
Entirely legally
26" is still good at 1440p
Wait
Im braindead
the depth lol
LMAO
32" needs a girthy desk imo
yea if i got up to 4k ill prob stay at 27inches for the increased density
i think it jumps to what like 160ppi?
Couldnt recommend
4k even at 32" has a higher ppi than 1440p at 27"
And 1440p is pretty sharp at 27"
really? ive had a bunch of ppl tell me to do that instead of
Moral of the story: Dont trust people
Even if that means me
ill have to find a store with stuff on display. idt the bestbuys near me do that tho
Just do yo damn research š„
OR MARKETING š
I'd also stay 1440p hahaha
Marketing will try to sell you an hd screen at 32" and say "oh its high definition you'll love it!"
Then the uninformed buyer will be owning a 720p screen at 32"
Now that's horrible haha
My rooms TV for a long time was a huge 32" Samsung 720p tv with horrible viewing angles
that sounds like MHW telling me to run the game at 1080p with performance mode DLSS AND frame gen to hit 60fps
and telling me its a good experience
Mine was too until a bit less than 2 years ago, horrible good times
Oh its a good experience alright
Just
For their wallets
Not you
lmaoo
at 70$ each its almost 1B$
yep very ~~horrible ~~ great times
WHAT
God
Even after the benchmarks??
ppl love their monster unter
Fastest selling Capcom game. Ever
