You gotta change your NAT type to open. Its either on moderate or closed to do this you need to open the port for the switch by logging into the router. There should be guides online how to do this for your specific router that way you don't have connection issues for the switch it should always open the port

I had to do it for my Xbox once I figured it out it was easy it should list the port codes Nintendo uses online
