I believe it is better and even more beneficial to see what furniture you have and start organizing them so that in the future you can do terraforming patiently without the island being in complete chaos

It's based on how much of the ground is covered in a given 8x8 area (I think it's 8x8) and you don't actually see where one zone ends and the next begins, but if you generally leave room to walk between stuff you should be good
