Depends on the island. Some people give things away, sometimes people host cooking competitions, sometime you just explore. Some advanced players will host crafting parties. You tell them what DIY item you need and they build them for you.

It has come to our attention that there is a security exploit that allows malicious players to "hack" your island and make your player spam offensive slurs/hate speech, overwrite your bulletin board with NSFW content, mess with your island, and more.

Precautions You Can Take:

• DON'T share your Dodo codes publicly!
• Allow only 1 person on your island at a time to easily keep track of what they are doing.
• (Note whether there are any "weird" behaviors such as glitching through the ground, rapidly changing clothes, etc.)
• Take note of who's on your island so you can report them to @earnest folio if necessary.
• (Take note of player names, island names, Switch profiles, and Discord usernames whenever you play with someone!)
• If you get hacked, DO NOT SAVE your game; close out immediately!!

a better strategy is to replace most/all your cherry trees with your sister fruit, occasionally found on NMT islands. That way the fruit you predominantly grow will always sell for more on your own island

yeah, but kapp'n islands are post 3 star and only once a day. not farmable

even better long term, though, is just diving for sea critters (ignoring shadows that don't move, as most of those are seaweed/anemones that dont sell for much). they infinitely respawn, require no breakable tools like nets or fishing rods, and the critters themselves sell for a fair chunk
