• the 5 possible native fruits
• their perfect variants (10)
• the 2 palm fruits (12)
• the 4 tropical fruits (16)
• persimmons (17)

All other mainline ACs have 5 or 6 fruits, even new horizons

only thing I'll give NH is that it has vegetables as of 2.0

so that gives it 12 possible growable things

so taking away perfect fruits, NH and NL are equal in unique growable items

that being said I still wish we had the fruit variety of NL in NH

tbh I don’t think combining everything is possible? NH’s scaling down is both due to practical reasons (they’re moving from SD to HD, and as a result everything’s gotta be remade) and also for artistic reasons (you can’t just plonk terraforming/crafting/more control over time or villagers into AC as it is, it ends up changing how the game works in many ways and there’s knock-on effects to it that the people demanding them don’t realise)

An original model wii (RVL-001) is probably the best option cost-wise
If you want to play e+ then youll have to hack out the region-lock (which you can find relatively easily online) or get a japanese wii

I was pretty surprised to find out that e+ is significantly cheaper than just buying the english release, even including shipping

Also, actual gamecubes have a tendency for the disc reader to wear out, which is a massive pain to replace
