There are two ways; you go to the Mystery Island Tour by Kappn. It costs 1000 nook miles. Every island you visit on the mystery tour has a dig spot,like fossils. Dig it out and you get Gyroid fragment. Then, you go back to your island, bury the fragment, and water it. The next day, if you dig it up, you will get a random Gyroid. Just remember where you bury the Gyroid fragment. That is all just the first way.

The second way takes awhile, but you can get one special Gyroid. If you visit the Roost and order coffee from Brewster everyday consecutively for 51 times, you can get the Brewsteroid.

You can either directly choose "hang on wall" when standing near a wall to place the wall mounted item onto said wall, or open the room designer thingy (down on the arrow buttons) then press the + button, then open your storage (or pockets) to place a wall mounted item onto the wall, which you can then move to where you want it!

To answer your question FaL... here's how I approach it. Whenever I started a room I'd always ask myself "what exactly do i want this room to be?" Once I answered, I'd experiment by plopping down furniture and then ask myself, "can this work for what I'm going for." If I did, it stayed. If I wasn't sure, I would look at other variants to find out. If I didn't, I'd remove it.

This way is out dated because now Happy Home Paradise can let you experiment without committing to anything before you're ready.

That’s kinda what I do. I try to set on a certain vibe or function of a room then just go through my catalog and plop many things down without placing them yet. Then just trial and error and experimenting moving then into a good place. But I’m new to AC so I’m trying to figure out all the tricks

Instead of giving you an idea, I'm gonna give you advice. If I were you, the first thing I'd do is remove the windows from the center room. Not only does it make more sense because, well, its smack dab in the middle of the house, but it also frees up more wall space that you can hang things on/push furniture up against

So when you go into editing mode when designing a room, click left on the d-pad. With the 2.0 + HHP updates, you should see a menu that allows you to adjust lighting, add ambient noise, and to remove windows.
