has anybody had the one where your villagers just despawn because i was trying to get someone to move out and i found each villager but 1 so i searched my whole island and couldn't find him then i went in nooks cranny and able sisters and still couldn't so i decided to look around again and i then found him in nooks cranny where he wasn't there before and if he did go in there i would have seen him on my way there since when i went to his house it said "out for a snack run"

Idk if this is normal, but i remember that there was a shiny spot on the ground on my island (that when you dig it up, there would be bells in it) I had gone to someone else’s island and come back, but when I flew over my own island on the way back, it showed a fossil or other buried item. Afterwards, I went to go and check but it was back to the shiny thing

That is a known glitch as of 2.0, it doesn't affect the spot itself but the game does change the look of it during flyover

In the mirror customization menu you can only choose between male and female, so maybe that's what they're referring to. Your villagers will refer to you with he/him or she/her depending on what you pick

Yeah I don’t recall my villagers ever referring to me by a pronoun, but the Nintendo Switch Online app uses they/them pronouns for the player

You can save an absurd amount of time by ignoring gendered pronouns instead of writing essentially double the amount of dialog, and needing to double checking character limits and stuff

Cut the writing in half by never making any dialog revolve around boys or girls

Hey not sure if this is the best place to ask but i am out of ideas, anyone have any idea why my brothers animal crossing data keeps getting corrupted from what i can gather some times its fine but other times when it auto saves the data becomes corrupted, i thought maybe it was his SD card but all other games are working fine, It's a Physical version of the game, all 4 of us here have a copy of ACNH and we all have a switch lite each and it's happening for no one else in the family the only thing different he has done to us is use an amiibo card but that wouldn't explain why his fresh restarted Island has also been corrupted, he doesn't hack or time travel so i am really stumped.

In order for it to go into your critterpedia, you do need to catch it for the first time and get the Yes! message.

My game is glitching I think. I currently have 0 bells in wallet and 36/40 free in my pockets I go to sell something at nook and cranny and it says your pockets are full and wallet I will wire bells to your bank

That simply means that the items you sold is over the maximum limit of bells you can hold, and the bells moved over to your Bank of Nook account.
This isn't a glitch, it's meant to prevent issues when your pockets have to overflow from the number of Bell bags you can hold.

if you sell item in your own island it does not matter the total payout as the bells will go into your account. you normally get that when trying to sell turnips for a price that is not normally in the game

Unless they changed saving, it's impossible to patch.
The glitch works by placing items on one's island and then leaving, causing the game to not save therefore all items are kept but the other island still has those items.
The only 2 things that can be done to stop this are to autosave when a new item is placed down (may impact performance) or to autosave whenever someone disconnects.

go to an island that you know can spawn tree bugs, deplete it of all natural resources except palm trees (and bring some palm trees from your own island if you can), and keep circling til you find it.

i found a dupe glitch

if you have two of the same item, you can give one to a player (via local or online play) then when they leave, your switch has to run out of battery (oh yeah, it has to be low charge) so then they get the item, but you still get your two items back (as long as the game doesnt autosave while they're there).

Not sure if this is a well known glitch.. But when a villager visits, if you open the room sketch app (granted you have it) close it again, and walk out of your home, the villager will stay inside.. The only items I advised on were items that are only obtainable via hacking. Gold tools themselves are fine, but the DIYs for two of them (GWC and Golden Axe) don't actually have legitimate in-game cards, and I generally don't recommend people pick things up that they can't normally obtain in game, because the behavior of the item isn't guaranteed.

Beyond that I can't speak to the behavior of normally-obtainable but spawned in items.

Hacked items might have different behavior (i.e., critters that can be dropped), they'll have Japanese names even if your game is in English, or they might simply not be obtainable (i.e., Golden Watering Can DIY card, Luna's gyroid, campsite construction kits etc.). Other than that, if someone spawned in a normally obtainable item with normal behavior, you wouldn't be able to tell it was hacked in unless they disclosed it.

Camo items are items that have had an invalid input for their texture, meaning it warps and takes textures from the surrounding area. So no, not legally obtainable. (And not to be confused with camoflage-patterend items).
